Hot take and not to be a killjoy or the shipping police but people treating Viktor or Jinx's aroace headcanons as if they were canon is not the revolutionary take people think it is.

Headcanons are always all right but we have to acknowledge that they are somehow damaging when they apply to stereotypes. It might not be the case for everyone but most of the time people unconsciously assume that disability/mental illness=asexuality. These headcanons erase the freedom of attraction from people who are already seen as unable to have sexual/romantic experiences/desires, when it's completely untrue and harmful.

You can headcanon Viktor and Jinx as aroace, but I have seen people changing their minds once Viktor is no longer disabled (s2 with all of his other forms) and Jinx is no longer as mentally ill (alternate universe Powder). And it speaks wonders of how people see these characters.

"I never thought about Jinx being able to feel romantic/sexual attraction until s2!" To believe she's actually only capable of that when she's not "damaged" is incredibly disturbing. Especially since Jinx has always had a bit of a flirty personality too.

"I've always seen Viktor as asexual, I don't know why!" That's fine. You can headcanon him as ace. But I believe there is a reason behind it, most of the time, if for some inexplicable reason the "vibes" of the disabled character are making you think he's ace.

I say all of this being aroaspec myself, by the way. Headcanon all you want but going to people's posts commenting how "it's weird for you that they have romantic/sexual plots when they're clearly aroace" is not a win at all. It's a headcanon, after all, and it should be treated as such, and that's fine. But it also is damaging to spread stereotypes like these.

Of course the disabled character is asexual. Of course the mentally ill character is aromantic. It's not as revolutionary as you might think, tbh.

Fandom is not activism and it's all right to have any headcanons you want BUT some of them are filled with damaging stuff and perhaps we should look into ourselves more before treating these assumptions as something canon.

- her hands roam all over your body cause she doesn't know where to put them, just her calloused fingers grazing your skin

- likes leaving marks on you but almost likes it more when you leave them on her, she doesn't bother trying to hide them

You know what I need? I need an au where Viktor, Jayce, Vi and Jinx all live in the same disgustingly messy share house and it’s an endearing fucking nightmare. The place is a mess, there are half completed experiments on every available surface, a punching bag in the middle of the living room and scribbles on the walls.

Jayce hates all the Crayola ass wall art Jinx does and Vi is adamant she needs it for emotional expression and if he tries to stop her she will break his wrist. Jinx then starts targeting Jayce’s shit specifically which he then complains to Viktor about.

Vi and Jayce argue over who gets to man the barbeque literally every time because their masculinity depends on it and Jinx and Victor just sit back and watch, amused.

Jayce is the house chef and he’s really great, but he’s also super biased to Viktor’s taste. Down to cutting the meat the way Viktor likes it which Vi thinks is sweet and Jinx complains about loudly. Jinx isn’t even eating the fucking food she’s there complaining about his beta cuck cooking while eating microwave chicken nuggets sitting on the counter.

Viktor is constantly giving Jinx constructive criticism on her work which she complains about but greatly appreciates. The Viktor and Jinx petty bitch fights are worse than the Jayce/Vi barbeque war and can go on for days. We need more of the shit they were pulling in the commune with jinx making an ableist joke and Viktor immediately whipping out the deadname.

Jinx calls Jayce and Vi bitch mitten 1 and 2 occasionally and it pisses them of. Viktor did it by accident once and Jayce was so offended.

Both Viktor and Jayce relate to Jinx with their experiences with suicidal ideation and give her some coping mechanisms to help her and Vi is so grateful she butch lesbians her way through building the two a really nice storage cabinet for some of their inventions.

Vi is not allowed to cook in the kitchen. Everyone else in the house unanimously agreed. She set the microwave on fire one too many times.

This is my season 2 copium and I will be thinking about it none stop until the sun explodes.

Viktor 100% builds things in very sketchy ways based on the fact that he was mostly self taught/had questionable mentors. I can say with certainty that this man invents his own wire color codes for each individual electronic he works on and it drives Jayce crazy. I imagine a scenario where Viktor uses two black wires instead of one red and one black and Jayce is dying inside but too nice to say anything. And btw, in Viktor's special code, the black wire stripped at a 45⁰ angle is the ground wire. Viktor will leave wires exposed to the point where it is a hazard but isn't sure what the big deal is since "we do it in the under city all the time Jayce." His soldering jobs are terrible. His circuits are held together with a hope and a dream and defy all known laws of physics. His wire organization game is top tier though. Viktor once managed to rig an electronic with all male components because he couldn't find the female ones. Jayce is beside himself. Viktor doesn't understand the problem. It works, no?

Viktor also meets Jinx and the two have a lengthy discussion about how no one understands their process. Wiring and electric standards are for nerds. They simply want to make art.

Of course, if she is distracted by the fighting and adrenaline of a fight, it might take her awhile to notice until you collapse or the fight is over. I imagine pre-shimmer Jinx would be more attentive and notices if you are hurt even a bit.

🚀 ୧ ‧₊˚ 🦈 But basically, she drops everything and would rush to your side nonetheless. She will kneel by your side, assessing your injuries. Oh god, that is a lot of blood. Since when did you have so many wounds?

🚀 ୧ ‧₊˚ 🦈 Thousands of thoughts swarm around her head. She is so scared of losing you, she can't lose another person she loves. She just can't. Voices of her adoptive brother's voice ring through her head and even Silco's. Saying things like how she just hurts everyone around her, this was bound to happen eventually. Instead they were a magenta color, something unnatural and not you. It almost reminds you of— "Now we match!" Jinx exclaims excitedly, as if you'd be happy.

🚀 ୧ ‧₊˚ 🦈 "What did you do to me, Jinx?" You focus your gaze back onto her, feeling anger rising in your bones.

🚀 ୧ ‧₊˚ 🦈 Jinx scrunches her face, "What did I do? I saved you!" she says, practically snarling at your accusatory tone. She stands, throwing the makeup compact harshly at you.

🚀 ୧ ‧₊˚ 🦈 "You were going to bleed out in my arms so quit looking me like I'm some.. some monster!" Her voice breaks on the last note, showing her insecurity. You knew all about Jinx's past, about Vi.. Vander. You promised to never do the same thing to her.

🚀 ୧ ‧₊˚ 🦈 You take a deep breath in. reassessing your situation. Yes, you were.. different but you were fine, right? Your wound were gone and in fact, you felt more alive than before. More hyper-aware, like you are a fresh eyed baby seeing the world new again.

Imagine Ekko's struggle to maintain long-term relationships being somewhat of a running joke in the community until rumours spread of a past love on the memorial he continues to mourn, and everyone trying to guess who it is.

Imagine Ekko getting all prickly when a child innocently asks if the blue-haired little girl on the memorial is related to the vile villainess Jinx, evoking suspicion and speculation on her true identity as well as Ekko's secretive past.

Imagine Scar, possibly in a moment of intoxication, accidentally letting slip that Ekko had his heart broken by Jinx once upon a time. Cue speculation from the Firelights on the nature of their relationship, only for him to seemingly reappear from the dead with a desolate Jinx hanging from his arms and confirm what they already knew.

Imagine some of the Firelights' disgust at how gentle Ekko is with this twin-tailed demon who murdered so many of their own. How he insists on caring for her himself. Imagine the rumours that fly due to him keeping her in his own room.

Imagine how astonished they are to see Ekko and his sworn enemy bickering over their pre-battle engineering like an old married couple. How they fight perfectly in sync, how they exchange quips like they were never separated.

And finally, (don't) imagine how mournful they are at their leader's despair when he loses her for the very last time.

I feel that bookstreet interactions are equivalent to viktor and Jinx's but in the opposite way. Like when jayce and vi are together, their smart cancels out, but when viktor and jinx interact, their sass multiplies. They aren't like siblings or parental but instead cousincore

I had this hc that I haven’t talked about of Jinx calling Isha “birdie” because she fell out of the sky and landed on Jinx’s head and Jinx loves giving out nicknames so it just made sense to me.

And since I love timebomb and them being Isha’s parents,,,, I just realized that Jinx had all the crow (or was it raven?) symbols and Ekko had all the owl symbols. They’re a family of birds.

Look at the way Jinx talks about Viktor in "Jinx Fixes Everything" when she knows his plans could destroy life as she knows it.

Now look at the way Viktor talks about Jinx in the RiotxArcane visual nocpvel when she's threatening to tear apart reality as he knows it.

They're both so willing to extend the other empathy and compassion when they can see the destructive path the other is on. It's so insane these kinds of dynamics are shafted into side media like the minigame and visual novel.
