Finding Our Places
I decided to share another chapter on here, I might share more in the future. The chapters don’t necessarily need to be read chronologically as long as you understand the premise.
Jinx adopted a little girl (illegally/kinda kidnapped but nahhh) and got caught by Vi and Caitlyn who then legally adopted her and live with her, Jinx visits or takes her out often whenever she doesn’t have class and even keeps her on the weekends unless they make different plans ahead of time.
Tattoo?
“Mama?”
“Yeah?” Jinx turned to her kid, ignoring the annoyed look Vi gave her for cutting off their conversation about what to have for dinner. It’s not like Jinx cared what was made anyway, she was probably still gonna eat it.
Lilith was taking a few seconds to speak but she was staring at Jinx’s arms intently so she looked at them as well. Jinx lifted her arm before looking back at her daughter, “You like my tattoos?” She asked slowly and Lilith’s gaze went back up to the teenager's eyes before she nodded.
“Maybe when you’re older you can get some.” She grinned and heard someone clear their throat in the room. She turned to see Vi giving her a look but Jinx couldn’t care less. If her baby wanted a tattoo she would get one. Besides she said she would wait til she was older, so what was her problem?
“Maybe don’t talk to the six year old about tattoos.”
“She was curious, and she’ll be fine.”
“I want ones like yours!”
“Yeah yeah okay you little rogue. Just remember to wait til your older.”
“How much older?”
“At least 16.”
“What!” The child shrieked in surprise. Her mama never made her wait a super long time for things she wanted, but now she had to wait til she was 16?! Both of the adults in the room chuckled at her disbelief so she took to pouting before she rolled her eyes and got up and ran upstairs to her bedroom.
“Ah no, Lili wait!” Jinx didn’t hesitate to chase after her pouty daughter, not wanting to leave her to sulk, especially since she mainly came over to spend time with her favorite girl.
Once she got to the room the door was slammed in her face and Jinx couldn’t help but let out another quiet chuckle as she stood there. The only reason this could even happen was because Caitlyn and Vi took her in and gave her everything Jinx couldn’t give her. If they were in her apartment, who knows if she would’ve even been able to give Lilith her own room, her own space to personally sulk or be pouty like this.
It stung a bit to acknowledge again for the hundredth time how much better this really was for her daughter. She slowly turned the dornknob and went inside the room to find her daughter sitting on the edge of the bed and staring at her blankly for a few seconds before she looked to the floor quickly. Jinx blinked while closing the door behind her and walking over tentatively.
“Something wrong?” She asked but her little one only shook her head while still looking at the ground. Jinx narrowed her eyes before sitting on the bed next to the little girl who in turn laid her head on her arm. Of course Jinx knew she was thinking about something and wanted to know what it was, her daughter didn’t commonly stare like that for no reason.
She easily picked her daughter up and placed her on her lap and Lilith didn’t make any move to stop her nor did she seem upset by it. “Lili? You can talk to me. Why’d you look so upset when I came in?”
Her little girl seemed to copy her and narrowed her eyes before she then gripped her shirt and pushed her face into it. Jinx reflexively wrapped her arms around her daughter but now she was even more curious. Should she leave it alone? Will she speak on her own time? Jinx made a face but she looked down at the little one on her lap and she couldn’t help but melt. She could wait.
After a few minutes Lilith pulled back and Jinx looked down at her again. “You didn’t come in at first.” “Huh?”
Lilith’s face started to look embarrassed as she gripped her shirt again. “I heard you run after me… but you didn’t come in. I dunno why but… I thought you didn’t care about me anymore.” She hurried her face back into Jinx’s shirt again.
“What?!” Jinx winced when she saw her daughter flinch at her yell being so close, “Baby no, no, no, of course I still care about you. I’ll always care.” She mumbled next to her daughters head who then looked back at her. She nodded softly but Jinx still felt uncomfortable. No that wasn’t it. She felt uneasy.
She only stood outside the door for two minutes reminiscing, but those two minutes made her daughter think she didn’t care anymore. How could she fix that? She never wanted her to feel like that again. Maybe she should have a serious talk with Vi and Caitlyn about it? Hopefully they would know what to do.
“Mama… I’m sorry.”
Jinx bit her lip as she thought about what she should say here, “You don’t… you don’t have to be sorry for telling me how you feel okay? I’m happy you told me.” She looked down at her and watched closely before continuing, “Do you at least feel better?”
“Mhm.”
“Good,” She placed a light kiss on her forehead before laying back on the rest of the bed, her daughter still in her arms. “How about a nap before dinner?” She felt the girl nod and that was enough of an answer for her.

im sorry but i cannot stop thinking about isha's pastel memories that play during her sacrifice scene.
look at how full of colour this beautiful fuckin shot is:
Tumblr media
it's been well established in episodes 4-6 how grim and dark the undercity has become under cait and ambessa's new rule. but look at how isha sees/remembers it - because of jinx.
jinx, who went through a severe childhood trauma that has carried over into her present self - she covers extremely destructive weapons and grenades in bright pinks and blues, neons, childlike doodles, graffiti. (joy and destruction, powder and jinx, a contrast so striking it becomes like a signature for her).
and then we see the world through isha's eyes. when we meet her in episode 2, she's running through sewers, from goons dressed in black; it's grimy and grim. and then all of her recent memories are done in these childlike pastel, almost crayon-y sketches. because what isha saw was jinx covering a dark and grim world in colours.
and so isha covered her world in colour, too.
because jinx made her world bright.
isha looked at jinx and saw the child in her. she saw powder and she saw jinx. she saw joy and destruction. and that's why jinx gave isha so much hope. isha knew the world was grim and dark - but then she watched jinx, and she learned that you can paint over all that grim darkness with neon blue spray paint.
that's why isha believed in hope. that's why in her final moments - in a scene that is lit dimly and dramatically - she sees nothing but a bright world coloured in pastels.
never underestimate the hope of a child.

Look at the little changes Jinx made to her work bench compared to season 1.
Tumblr media
Look at the little drawing Isha made of them. Isha's got mirror (refrigerator) rights.
Tumblr media
The real question now is if Jinx lets Isha watch her do her self-administered first aid, or does she hand Isha the stapler and let her feel useful?

One thing that will never cease to amaze me is how OVERLOOKED VI’S TRAUMA IS IN ARCANE.
Maybe it’s just the oldest daughter in me talking; But the trend I most often see in Arcane posts, rants and such, is a back and forth over Caitlin and Jinx. Who’s in the right between the two, who’s justified, who has more of a reason to grieve over their dead parent.
Vi is almost NEVER talked about when it comes to who has the right. And that is SO oldest sister of her.
She was the one old enough to properly understand what happened when their parents got killed.
She was the token older sister, always prepared to defend and take the fall for her younger siblings, hell, she was even prepared to get arrested or God knows what to protect Powder, Milo and Claggor at the age of what, 14-16?
She DID get arrested, and she was in there for about 7 years, in the darkest, dampest place she could possibly be, without sunlight, or fresh air, or ANY idea on if she would ever get out, her only hope and reason for pushing on STILL being her younger sister who also accidentally killed their entire family. WHO VI STILL LOVES AND WANTS TO PROTECT DESPITE THE FACT. And we also learn that Vi was definitely physically abused while she was stuck in that cell, (the look on her face when she hears that clunking coming down the hall proves it wasn’t an every once in a while thing.) She was literally forced to grieve alone, in the worst place imaginable, with no one to help her.
She is consistently shown blaming herself for the decisions of other people, because the over-pressured sister and daughter in her will definitely never fully grasp the fact that ITS NOT HER FAULT.
She had to come to terms with the fact that her little sister had chosen to work for and bond with the man that was responsible for the death of their father figure, and even then, after hearing the things Jinx had done, the ways she’d changed, Vi STILL tried to love her, to save her.
She was faced with a choice between her sister, and her (basically) girlfriend, and no matter how much you defend Jinx, or how much trauma she went through, or her lack of emotional maturity, none of that takes away from the pure terror of watching your sister point a gun in the face of someone you love, trying to make you ‘choose’. And then in the same moment, watching your girlfriend point a gun at your sister? Constantly being stuck in the middle of everyone you love?
Almost everyone she has ever loved either died, or completely turned on her, becoming a different person, or just straight up abandoning her.
The difference between her and the other trauma filled children of this series is that she’s not easy to pity like everyone else. She’s actually strong, and hasn’t completely lost her morals or snapped, even after everything she’s been through, so people don’t sympathize with her. She’s the token older sister, overlooked, over relied on, and villainized when she shows any sliver of fragile humanity.
(SORRY FOR MY VI RANT I JUST NEEDED TO GET THAT OUT 😔✊)

Jinx and Isha x Isha's identical twin reader [fluff]
"Team for life"
Tumblr media
@ayedomino0 here you go, love
____________________________________________
Trigger Warning: I don't think there's any, just pure fluff which is unusual for me, but we all need it after act 2. Also I'm not used to writing for three characters at once, so this probably isn't any sort of masterpiece. I also think I may have subconsciously written reader as female, so sorry male and enby readers. This is also pretty fast paced. Also, I don't know what it's like to have a twin, but I hope I didn't write Isha and Reader as the typical twin stereotype shown in movies.
____________________________________________
"Alright, alright, Y/N, guess what time it is!" Jinx's voice rang through the room, making your heart pause.
No, hold on, it couldn't be that time already - you were so sure there were still countless minutes, hours separating you from this exact moment!
But as your wide eyed gaze darted towards the clock on the wall the reality was clear as day - it really was that time already.
"That's right, pipsqueak - medicine time!" Jinx called loud as she came into view, wearing a wide, rascally grin.
Her stance was dramatic and attention grabbing, a bottle of cough drops in one hand, a spoon in the other.
Then, as she went to get the substance onto the spoon, Jinx chirped up again: "Now!" but she ended up cutting herself off right away.
Her pink tinted eyes intensely focused on the drops dripping onto the spoon, carefully watching and counting the amount of drops you would be receiving.
When the right portion was on the spoon, Jinx visibly relaxed and her scatterbrained grin softened up.
"Now," she repeated before dramatically holding up the spoon as if it were some sort of trophy, "say hello to the cough drops express!".
Jinx's gaze then moved towards you, ready to treat your sore throat: "I know how much you hate these, so let's get it over with".
But the moment her eyes laid on you, Jinx halted in her movements and the playful grin fell off her face.
Jinx was so sure she was seeing double because instead of having two individually dressed twins, she suddenly had two identically dressed twins.
Both of them looking at her with the exact same puppy-eyed expression on their faces.
"As sly as a fox, eh?" Jinx commented and broke into a grin as she shook her head in disbelief at the situation.
Then she put her hand holding the cough drop bottle on her hip, smirking.
"okay, which one of you came up with this?" She asked and, still holding the spoon with your medicine, she motioned to you and Isha.
Neither of you spoke of course, nor did you give any sort of other reaction, both you and Isha just looked at Jinx with your two sets of golden, big eyes.
Jinx wasn't bothered by the lack of reaction though, nor was she really bothered by the situation - of anything, she honestly found it hilarious.
"Hmm," she hummed, pressing her manicured finger to her lips while still handling the cough drops bottle, pretending to be deep in thought.
"I bet it was..." Jinx paused, letting the tension build up as her pink eyes found yours and locked with them.
"Y/N," she grinned, the eye contact with you intense and making your heart stop for the second time today.
The way Jinx was looking at you sent shivers down your spine, and panic immediately settled in your chest.
You wondered whether or not could Jinx tell you apart despite all the effort you put into looking identical with Isha.
Your stance grew more uneasy and tense right away, not helping your cause at all - however, Isha jumped in for the rescue without a moment of hesitation.
In an blink of an eye, she quickly copied and matched your tense body language and anxious facial expressions.
The mirroring on Isha's part was flawless, although it was slightly harder for her to act this way and seem genuine - after all, between you and her, it was you that was the more naturally timid twin.
However, Isha was still quite naturally skilled in this sort of thing - plus this wasn't the first time you and Isha were pulling this sort of stunt on people.
So, executing the act on this part wasn't all too impossible for you and Isha - or more like Isha since she was doing most of the work in this particular situation.
But still, with the way Jinx was looking at you, you had a feeling she knew exactly, perfectly well, who was who.
And yet, whether or not was that nagging feeling correct was left as an unsolved mystery because Jinx either genuinely didn't know, or she's decided to humour you and the little stunt you were trying to pull.
"Hmm," Jinx hummed as she straightened up, her intense gaze leaving yours and fixing on Isha instead, looking her over as if trying to do her best to figure out which twin she was.
Unlike you, Isha's stance didn't falter in response to being studied like a small bug under a microscope - she was still perfectly mirroring how you were handling the situation.
Although you were aware that Isha still had this obvious bark to her, making her act of unease less authentic than yours.
But you couldn't really blame her because this kind of behaviour simply wasn't true to her personality.
You just nervously hoped that this simple fact was this much obvious to just you and your sister, and not Jinx.
"Well, I have to give it to ya," Jinx commented after giving you and Isha one last once over, "you two really are sneaky,".
In response, you and Isha exchanged a look, both of you smiling in your own unique way, pride swelling in your chests at your schemes being acknowledged and even appraised.
In that moment, you and Isha felt like you have successfully outsmarted Jinx and won this little game that you have found yourselves playing with the older girl.
Jinx smirked then, looking at the two of you with amusement, and also some hint of pride at how much work you two put into making your silly plan come to life.
Really, the two of you truly did everything possible to look like flawless copies of one another, it was hard to tell you two were two different beings - Jinx was quite impressed.
Though Jinx had a certain advantage over the two of you, an advantage she's not told you about because she simply didn't have the heart to - or maybe she just liked having an advantage.
After all, the two of you could be quite the handful at times - so, any sort of advantage over you was valuable and useful.
Anyways, that advantage was that Jinx was detail oriented, and over the time she's spent with you and Isha, she's noticed things that helped her tell you apart.
For example - and it wasn't too noticable, but your smiles tended to be soft and timid, while Isha's smiles were bolder and more pronounced, with her front teeth usually slightly peeking out from under her lip.
Jinx loved the both of your individual smiles - she adored all that made them differ, but also all that made them similar if not the same at first glance.
Jinx's smirk then softened into something warmer, something fonder, as she added: "and... you two really do stick together, like true sisters...".
Her voice was softer than usual, and so was the look on her face - the way she looked at you two was almost wistful, like she wished she and Vi could have what you two shared so seemingly effortlessly.
However, just as quick as that gentle expression of Jinx's came, it was gone just as quick, replaced by that playful, mischievous look Jinx was so known for.
"Alright, I have an idea for a game," Jinx gave a wicked grin and right at that moment, you and Isha became alert once more, losing the smiles on your faces.
You were somewhat more tense than Isha, of course, since, you were the one supposed to take those disgusting cough drops, not Isha - she was just playing along with your plan.
"it's called: Let's wait to see which one of you starts coughing and reveals which one of you is Y/N. Sounds fun, no?" Jinx tilted her head, her braids swinging some.
At that, you gave one horrified look to Isha, which Jinx didn't miss, but also didn't comment on - she felt like prolonging the small game that you had going on.
She was having lots of fun with this, and she wanted to know how far the two of you would be willing to take this - or more like, how far would be Isha willing to play along to help you get out of having to take your medicine.
Then, as if on cue, you felt that irritating, scratchy sensation building up in your throat, and your brows furrowed as you tried to hold back the incoming coughing fit.
And, sending Isha one last desperate, pleading look, you suddenly broke into a fit of harsh, pained coughs.
Much to your joy, Isha got you covered - once again, she didn't hesitate and matched your actions, beginning to fake as equally bad coughing fit.
And Jinx? She just watched your two's antics with amusement - you two really were something for sure.
But, Jinx also secretly felt envious because Isha really had your back no matter what the situation was.
And Jinx's thoughts momentarily drifted back to Violet, quietly wondering if it really was that hard to stick up for a sister that you hold dear.
But Jinx pushed those thoughts aside, forcing herself to focus on the present and what she currently had - not the past and what she didn't and couldn't have.
"Well damn," Jinx grinned playfully when your and Isha's coughing came to a halt so that both of you could catch your breath, "whatever can I do with you two?".
"Seems like you two won this round, I can't give Y/N her medicine without the risk of giving it to Isha," Jinx announced casually, her hand that was holding the cough drops bottle returning to rest on her hip.
And exhaling dramatically, she, just to egg you on a little more, added in: "guess I'll have to throw in the towel after all."
At that proclamation, your teary eyed gaze - the result of your bad coughing fit - lit up, filling up with hope and sheer excitement.
You couldn't believe it - Jinx was actually giving up and you wouldn't have to take that gross liquid!
A joyous grin appeared on your face, and you and Isha shared a victorious fist bump - however, your excitement and victory were all short lived.
Because Jinx's next words were: "That... Or, I could give the cough drops to the both of you, just to make sure I got the right twin,".
Both your and Isha's faces fell then, and finally, Isha didn't have to pretend to be horrified anymore because she genuinely became uneasy at the suggestion.
Isha herself knew how disgusting was the taste of those cough drops, and she would much rather eat some of those questionable foods the weird vendors in Zaun sold than take that medicine.
"Yeah, that's not such a bad idea," Jinx nodded to herself, appraising her own train of thought with a wide, satisfied grin.
"I mean, think about it - for Y/N it's to treat her sore throat, and for Isha it'd be precautionary, a just-in-case!" she thought out loud, swinging the spoon with cough drops around.
And, facing the two of you once more, Jinx smirked and held out the spoon as she asked: "What do ya think, Isha? Want some of these yummy cough drops?".
In response to that, all the loyalty Isha held for you was gone, and she frantically shook her head in disagreement with a light, panicked squeal, pointing at you and ratting you out.
Yep, she threw you under the bus, making you feel utter betrayal which you - metaphorically - voiced by gasping and glaring daggers into your sister.
But Isha only sent you an apologetic smile and made a circling motion with her fist over her heart to tell you a casual sorry.
She didn't look too sorry though because her face showed clear signs of relief upon being spared from having to consume those dreaded cough drops.
At Isha's half-hearted apology, you reacted by sending her another glare, one that didn't need any words to get across just what you were thinking: traitor.
Meanwhile Jinx, who was watching the whole exchange chuckled and kneeled down to you, her expression amused yet gentle as she cooed: "Don't get all too mad at her, kid,".
"you would've ended up taking the drops in any case, I knew who was who all along." she smiled gently, making you pause and look at her with wide, surprised eyes.
"Yeah, I knew the whole time which one was Isha, and which one was you," Jinx confirmed what you were silently thinking in your head "I was just playing you.".
To that delivered claim, you crossed your arms and frowned, acting all upset and offended that Jinx would make such a fool of you like that.
But Jinx only gave a hearty laugh: "Hey, it was you who was trying to play me first - you started it! Serves you right, you little sneaky rat!".
"So, don't get all mad now that your little stunt came back to bite you in the ass," she sassed you in a light-hearted tone, smiling fondly at you and making you fume more.
But sensing your attitude, Jinx eased up on her mean spirited yet no harm meaning taunts: "But, tell you what, you take your cough drops now, and...".
She trailed off, seeming to be thinking of what to offer you so that you'd be willing to call truce between the two of you.
"and I'll let you eat cookies before dinner, deal?" Jinx offered, making your frown immediately disappear and get replaced by a content smile and an eager nod.
And Jinx grinned proudly in response: "Alright, ma'am, seems like we have a deal," and holding the spoon to your lips, she added: "hurry up then, or the cookies might grow legs and run off.".
You giggled at those words, and finally more willing to take your medicine, you opened up your mouth for Jinx to give you those cough drops.
But before Jinx could even think of pressing the spoon against your lips, Isha stomped against the ground to bring your and Jinx's attention to herself.
When both of you directed your gazes towards Isha, she was standing there with crossed arms and an expectant look.
"Seems like someone wants cookies before dinner too," Jinx noted, her expression showing she was clearly entertained by Isha's bold attitude and cheeky antics.
With a grin, Jinx slowly looked up, rolling her eyes to pretend to think as she mused: "But I dunno... do you even deserve cookies after ratting out your sis?".
Then her gaze drifted towards you once more, and Jinx questioned: What do you think, Y/N, should Isha get some cookies after backstabbing you?".
You then looked at Isha, and the girl gave you the biggest puppy dog eyed expression she could muster up, her hands clasped together in a begging manner.
To that, you pursed your lips and pressed a finger against them, pretending to be considering whether or not you thought your sister should get a sweet treat after what she's done.
But, of course, you could never stay mad at her for too long, and you caved in, looking at her with a smile before turning to Jinx and nodding in agreement to her question.
And Jinx smiled softly at you, feeling some sort of warmth in her chest that you were willing to forgive your sister and allow her to share simple joys with you.
"Well, alright then!" Jinx called right after, her energy amped up again, "seems like the council has decided to take pity on you and grant you mercy, Isha!".
Jinx sent a grin Isha's way, making the girl perk up and smile eagerly at the prospect of being allowed to join you and have a cookie or two before dinner.
You joined in with a soft smile of your own, making eye contact with your sister and wordlessly letting her know that you two were still a team for life.

Finding our Places
I wanted to share my favorite chapter so far of the story on here so that’s what this is. This is posted as chapter 13, the story does not need to be read chronologically as long as you understand the premise of it.
Baby’s First Picture
“Hey kiddo come here!” Vi called Lilith over with a smile, watching as the 6-year-old came into the living room with Jinx trailing behind her as she expected.
“Yes?” She asked and the woman only patted the spot on the couch next to her. At this point, Lilith never really fussed about being around them anymore, and lately, she even seemed to want to spend time with Vi and Caitlyn and the two women couldn’t have felt more proud.
When Lilith sat down Jinx went behind the couch and just leaned on the back of it to see over their shoulders at whatever Vi had to show her daughter. The older sister smiled at the lack of sarcasm since they both came into the room and pulled out her phone.
“I wanted to show you both the picture I took at the amusement park, I think it’s a really good one!”
“I agree,” Caitlyn added from right next to her with a grin and they both watched as Jinx rolled her eyes with a chuckle, and they expected the same reaction from their daughter but to their surprise, she only furrowed her eyebrows and looked at them confused.
“What’s a picture?” She asked slowly and the three of them blinked at her a few times before Caitlyn spoke up.
“Well, a picture is kinda like a really good drawing that shows a moment that you want to remember for a very long time. But it’s instant and it doesn’t take any time to see it afterward.” The explanation seemed to be enough for their daughter who just nodded and then looked back at Vi expectantly.
Vi had a small smile as she pulled the picture up on her phone and then passed it to Lilith. It was the moment at the food stand right after Caitlyn had kissed Vi’s cheek and Lilith had pretended to be sick, so of course Jinx had decided to bring her daughter into her arms and attack her with kisses and light tickles. Cait was looking over at the two of them with a laugh clear on her face and Vi was grinning up at the camera as she took the picture.
Lilith’s eyes go wide as she looks at the picture. She looks between it and each of her family members with the same shocked expression. None of them knew what was going through her little head but when they saw her bottom lip quiver it quickly sent them into panic mode.
“Lili-“
“We look really happy.” She starts slowly, and one by one, each of the adults gradually un-tense themselves and let the girl continue. “L-like a real family. I love it so much.” Her little voice cracked at the last second and Jinx didn’t hesitate to go around the couch and pick her daughter up to sit on her lap and pull her into a hug. Lilith quickly burrowed herself into her mama’s arms and Jinx looked at the other two with a soft look. Vi smiled while Caitlyn felt herself swallow quickly but she didn’t give herself a moment to overthink it as they both joined the hug easily.
The 6-year-old only lasted a few seconds before she started crying lightly. Nobody else said anything as she cried but they all held her and gave comforting back rubs and pats. Eventually, they started to pull away and Lilith was left sitting on Jinx’s lap and gave a few small sniffles.
“Thank you for taking me in, mama.” Jinx opened her mouth but felt her chest squeeze and so she took her daughter’s hand and held it tightly and looked at the girl with all the affection she could muster up.
“Of course my little rogue.” Lilith laid her head on her mother’s chest so she was facing the other two women.
“Thank you for adopting me.” Caitlyn’s eyes teared up a bit but she quickly wiped them as Vi cleared her throat to keep her voice from cracking as she responded.
“Of course kiddo.”
“Yes, of course, we love you.”
Jinx felt herself stiffen for a moment, as she looked at Caitlyn in surprise, none of them had exactly used the word before. Obviously, she loved her daughter but she never wanted to pressure her into feeling like she had to respond. But then Lilith pulled away slightly from her and nodded.
“I love you too.” Vi and Cait stared at her in awe and this time when Caitlyn felt her tears she didn’t wipe them, they were just streaking down her face. Vi looked as if she had a bunch of emotions welling up but she didn’t want to overwhelm their daughter so she just covered her face with both hands. At that, their daughter turned back to Jinx who was looking at her with a slack jaw but she didn’t care and wrapped her arms around the woman’s neck to bury her face in her neck.
“I love you so much mama.”
Is this what dying felt like? Hearing those words from her daughter filled her with so many feelings that she didn’t know how to contain. Growing up emotionally stunted didn’t prepare her for this warmth and care and she wasn’t sure what she should do, or how she should react. Her throat grew tight as she pulled her daughter as close as possible in a hug.
“I love you too.” It came out as a bit of a croak because of how tight her throat felt but she made sure to get the words out either way. They stayed like that, each of them enjoying the comfort of just being together and while the three adults looked a wreck they all were practically glowing.
Eventually, Jinx stood up with her daughter in her arms hanging there loosely. “I’m gonna go put her to bed.” After they bith gave a nod the couple started whispering among themselves as Jinx headed upstairs to her kid’s room. She slowly pushed the door open and walked over to her bed, gently placing Lilith under the covers and carefully tucking her in (which was easy since she never made her bed anyway, despite Caitlyn’s scoldings. She couldn’t be more proud of that fact.) Before pulling away completely she leaned down to press a soft kiss to her forehead and she couldn’t help but watch her for a few seconds.
A small memory of Vi doing the same to her when they were kids came to mind. A different time that felt like it was forever ago, it felt like it happened to a different person, someone who wasn’t her, but it was. That was something she was slowly coming to terms with as she allowed herself to get close to Vi again, and accidentally started to tolerate Caitlyn more than she originally wanted to. That Powder was still her, that she wasn’t unlovable, that there are people in her life who genuinely care and want the best for her despite everything she had done and how she pushed people away and hurt them. And even that accepting help didn’t make her weak. Sometimes it’s necessary… and looking down at her daughter, the one who kickstarted all of these thoughts and feelings, she couldn’t help but feel grateful for the help she got. Lilith was happy and loved. And she wasn’t just settling or just accepting everything happening around her anymore which Jinx can honestly understand now the difference.
When they lived in her apartment Lilith was content with almost anything Jinx did or said. She rarely fussed or asked for anything, but it’s not like Jinx could’ve given her much by herself in the first place. But since moving in with Caitlyn and Vi that changed. She complained and was fussy, she made it clear when she didn’t like something happening to or around her, and she even felt okay asking for things she wanted in general which was the biggest change. Jinx tried to help her do that when they were together but she could count on her hands how many times Lilith actually asked for something. And most of those things were food related. But Vi and Caitlyn were able to show her that she could ask for things and encouraged her to do so so easily. Jinx had at first felt jealous and insecure about it, but it was a sign of Lilith growing so she couldn’t stay mad for long.
Jinx let out a soft sigh and tapped her daughter’s nose lightly, “boop.” Which led to her lightly chuckling as she finally left the room. She knew this was probably only going to be a short nap because it was still way too early in the day for the 6-year-old to go to bed, but she understood that all those emotions definitely tuckered the kid out.
As she traveled back downstairs she saw the couple still talking and walked back over. “What’s up?” She asked simply.
“We were thinking of printing out the photo for Lilith.” Vi easily told her and Jinx lit up at that, her eyes wandering to the phone as a smile took over her face.
“She would love that.” The other two nodded in agreement before Caitlyn added, “And I was thinking if we printed out multiple then we could all have one as well.”
Jinx rocked back and forth on the balls of her feet happily and this time she nodded in agreement. “Absolutely, though there’s no way I don’t get at least 10 copies.”
She said it as a fact and both of them rolled their eyes knowing Jinx was telling them to make sure she got at least 10 copies because she wasn’t going to print it out or offer to pay. After a second Vi chuckled and finally put her phone away. “Sure why not.”

I wish Silco was still alive to be visibly awed and simultaneously uncomfortable at his daughter's stan community. Some of them appear to be wearing his colors, like the one on center-right.
Give him a month and he'll have it restructured for real estate fraud and arms-dealing.

"Vi saved Jinx but Jinx could not save Isha."
While we're here, let's talk about that actually. Slams my hate and anger on the table.
Let's TALK about how Vi and Jinx, and Jayce and Viktor keep saving each other just to live longer enough to HATE each other.
For the longest time, no since forever, Jinx has been unable to pull the trigger on her sister. She gets nervous any time anyone else points a gun at Vi. She holds on to Vi as a lifeline. No matter how deranged Jinx gets, she will never hurt Vi.
Viktor was also the person Jayce abandoned everything for in his attempt to try to revive him. Just for Jayce to go mad and do that.
I'm just. Why are these people always desperately doing everything that they can do for the sake of the other, just to lose them in the process? WHY?!
