Are there any particular members in Wanna One that wouldn't "get along" based on placements?
* I pressed send before editing sorry. I also wanted to ask about what you think about Daehwi x Jinyoung, Daniel x Seongwoo, Jihoon x Woojin, and Minhyun x Jaehwan? Thank you!
I think they all get along fairly well! There may be instances of very little clashes but I’ll explain a few things about closeness based generally in moon and some for sun signs
This will be long, by the way! I’ll put an overall observation by element for now.
Let’s start with the fire signs. Daniel has sun/moon in Sagittarius, Jisung also has a moon in Sagittarius which explains their closeness as they are able to understand each other very well. As for Seongwoo, he has a fire moon as well in Leo, which makes him and Daniel able to relate to each other in a deeper level. Woojin and Jinyoung also have Leo moons so I’m sure they’ve had some deep talks here and there.
Minhyun and Jaehwan both have earth sign moons (Minhyun in Capricorn, Jaehwan in Virgo) so they’re also able to understand each other intellectually. They may seem off at times but honestly they’re probably closer than anyone thinks, same goes for Seongwoo who has a Virgo sun
Guanlin, Daehwi and Jihoon all have air sign suns (Libra, Aquarius and Gemini, respectively) so I’m sure that adds up to their closeness. Jaehwan also has a Gemini sun, I’m pretty sure he gets along well with them but his Virgo moon can get too analytical on Jihoon’s emotional Scorpio moon and Guanlin’s flighty Sagittarius moon
Now for the water elements, Sungwoon is probably the nurturing mother of them all because of his Cancer moon (moon also represents the mother). He probably is the type who always makes sure everyone in the group is alright and that they’re well, also making sure they have eaten, gotten enough rest, etc. Jihoon has a Scorpio moon, which is fixed, and may often close off his emotions at times. That’s where we see Woojin who has a Scorpio sun, their friendship is more than just how we see it-- they most likely relate to each other a lot. Daehwi has a Pisces moon, very delicate emotions so I’m sure he relates very well to the other members with water signs in their personal placements.
Overall no matter what the squares, I do see them all really getting along. They either teach and help each other but not scold each other where they feel uncomfortable or smothered. If any, I’d say Jaehwan would be the constant worrier for everyone but I think his Taurus Mars knows how to draw back here and there.
Daehwi and Jinyoung
Tumblr media
A favorite of mine is the combination of Daehwi and Jinyoung’s sun/moon. When I look at Daehwi’s chart, he lacks earth. Jinyoung’s dominant element is earth. And for Jinyoung, he lacks water. Daehwi’s dominant element is water.
Usually, this is more for compatibility but honestly this is where elements come together and are able to fill up what’s lacking in each other for two individuals. For short, Daehwi and Jinyoung have a very deep and close friendship. It’s already obvious enough, so they definitely do care a lot about each other.
Leo moons and Pisces moons are also very loving and caring to others. Jinyoung’s moon in Leo is also opposite Daehwi’s sun in Aquarius, it’s like an “opposites attract” type of thing for both of them along with the elements they lack in themselves where they have in each other. They’re able to complete each other and I’m pretty sure this’ll be a very long lasting friendship.
Daniel and Seongwoo
Tumblr media
Like I said from above at the first paragraph, there’s an abundance of fire just in the sun/moon combo itself. However for their suns, people tend to think Virgo x Sagittarius is kind of a tricky placement. Take in mind, they’re both mutable signs. No matter the differences in values and takes on anything, they’re both able to understand each other intellectually and through shared activities.
The flighty mind of a Sagittarius individual is able to vibe with the nitpicky mind of Virgo. They’re likely very active as friends as we see-- they like to hang out together very often. This is also because they know what each other likes and just goes with the flow to anything they would feel like doing that day. Mutual understanding, to make it short. I don’t see any reason why they wouldn’t be best friends, as I think Daniel, as a Sagittarius, is able to calm or even expand the mind of the slightly conservative Virgo sun of Seongwoo. They match up if you ask me, nonetheless. Plus with the fire moons? Beautiful and strong, humorous and lighthearted friendship.
Jihoon and Woojin
Tumblr media
Remember when I said Jihoon’s moon is the same sign as Woojin’s sun? Unfortunately, they’re not conjunct at least to how I see it in their compatibility chart. But, doesn’t mean they aren’t able to relate to each other nonetheless. Pretty sure their friendship grew overtime because Jihoon sees Woojin’s ego as something he actually is or values similarly.
I’d like to point out that their moon signs square each other. There may or may not have been instances where they had a little bit of a squabble (but not too serious, of course. Maybe small disagreements here and there). But honestly even with that, Jihoon’s sun and Woojin’s moon are also a sextile. They’re very able to understand each other regardless of the square in their moons. Their friendship is likely not too emotional, more like intellectual and sharing of similar interests and ideas. Woojin is also likely to understand Jihoon if he feels detached or any type emotion at all. I’ll talk about it more in Minhyun and Jaehwan’s part but overall, their friendship is more stimulating and fun more than anything. Two childlike qualities that blend together very well.
Minhyun and Jaehwan
Tumblr media
I’ve already talked about how they’re able to relate to each other through their earth signs. Their sun signs are sextiles just like Jihoon with his sun and Woojin with his moon, meaning they are able to understand each other just as much as trined signs (signs w/ the same element). However, they show differences in individuality. Geminis and Leos are both quite rational and focused on their mental activity. Leo pays attention to detail and because they are fixed signs, they follow what they already know. Gemini, in this case, Jaehwan, comes as more of a teacher towards Minhyun, the Leo. Also shows Jaehwan is the more affectionate one between the two of them (air sign, lol)
Emotional talks? Yes. Intellectual talks? Yes. Sharing of ideas? Big fat yes.
For short, they are definitely able to learn so much from each other. Generally they’d have different values and ideas, ways of communication, etc. But they are both able to relate and teach each other thanks to their earthy moon signs. They both value intelligence and clarity more than anything too. So their friendship is definitely more than just the “workmates” type of thing. They may not be too emotional as the others especially the water signs, but they value the meaning of their friendship.
Hope I gave you an idea, anon! ♥

Hanahaki Disease: the victim coughs up flower petals when they suffer from one sided love. It can be cured through surgical removal, but when the infection is removed, the victim’s romantic feelings for the other also disappear.

PART 1 // PART 2 // PART 3 //
masterlist for other fanfics
Park Jihoon, at the age of 19 lost his dream
The car crash injured his body severely that he wouldn’t be able to dance like before, so he was advised to stop aiming to become an idol. He listened to the doctor with an understanding smile and quit his agency after.
A few months later when the deadlines for the universities were closing in, he submitted a form filled neatly with college courses. He wanted to take Film, he explained to Riseul. It was the closest that he’ll ever get in the industry, and he’ll just devote all his love to dancing there.
At the age of 19, Riseul learned of real heartbreak.
It was seeing her best friend pick up the broken pieces of his life with the hopes of piecing it all back, but seeing him fail miserably despite his smile.  Just as Jihoon had perfect timing, so did Riseul. Always. It was her who found Jihoon, 2 in the morning slumped in the park crying, cursing the world as to why it was him. It was her who promised Jihoon that she’ll carry on his dream and dedicate her first song to him. It was her who sang to him when things just got too tough for a young man to handle. It was her who picked up all the broken pieces even if it badly pierced and wounded her soul.
Because she believed that it was her fault, and that this was her own form of love.
That night, there was a sudden downpour and they ran to seek shelter. She looked at him carefully, and began piecing the melody of their first meeting.
“You still sing that song?” he asked while looking at the rain.  “You complimented me back then in elementary. You helped me complete the lyrics back in middle school and you were with me when they held the audition for the agency. You held my hand when it was shaking so bad that I cannot even hold the microphone... Honestly, it’s my favorite song,” so she continued humming, even if the song was dwindled by the rain.
(please loop this video before you begin reading the next parts because I don’t know if one run can suffice for the next parts)
youtube
“This foolishly regret-filled song I hope it reaches the sky My prayer that spent all night in tears I hope it reaches your heart”
The heart monitor beeped, and Riseul regained her sense of touch. It was cold in the room, and when she opened her eyes everything was white. The room was white. The bed was white, and even her skin managed to transform to pale white. Ah, so she was hospitalized.
Beside her was Woojin sleeping soundly. She ruffled his hair and was immediately filled with comfort. She really does love Woojin - that she understood. But Park Jihoon was a storm and a spell of destruction.
And now, she’s captured. “You’re awake,” Woojin held her hand and kissed it while smiling softly. “It’s okay,” “I love you,” Riseul managed to say softly even if it just sounded like a gust of the wind because of the softness and hoarseness of her voice. Woojin nodded knowingly.  “I know. You wouldn’t have avoided me trying to hide everything if you didn’t. I’ll call Jihoon,” but she firmly touched his hand and shook her head. Woojin looked at her for a second, and patted her head. “I don’t want a repeat of what happened with Jihoon, please. I explained it to him already,”
“About?”
“Everything. About the accident and everything he has forgotten,”
“Oh.” her hands tensed and Woojin rubbed her knuckles trying to ease the tension.
“That day, you said that the blame was yours to take, but I need to take some of it from you. I knew about Jihoon’s condition, you know. He told me that he liked you, but we were dating so he took a step back, and honestly, it relieved me because if he wanted to take you away... he could. The two of you always had a bond and shared a connection like no other...”
No matter how her whole body ached and how everything seemed like blurring away, Woojin’s words were crystal clear.  “I knew this was going to happen anyway, but now I’m wishing that this day happened when he got crashed by a car , so I wouldn’t see you like this now.” he smiled sadly and slowly she felt his hold loosening.  “It’s okay. I love you. Always. Just as I know that you will always love me. I’m just... I’ve reached the end of my time with you? And the time I stole from Jihoon, I’m going to return it now,” and he kissed her forehead, and placed their foreheads together, their breathing matching and heartbeats beating as one... for the last time.
He let go of her and turned away to call Jihoon.
Jihoon stepped in, his lips pressed into a thin line, and it was awkward. Her heart felt like it would explode any minute. She didn’t know what to say, or what to even think about.
“That didn’t count back then,” Jihoon began his gaze directed at her, and it unnerved her.
“What?”
“I don’t remember it. Even now, despite all the explanations. Nothing is coming back. So, it doesn’t count. The me back then wasn’t in love with you,”
She stared at him, dazed. She knew Jihoon always had a thinking that weren’t normal at times. He was always finding loopholes in every argument, but for him to be like that now.. She didn’t know what to do.
“I’m telling you that you have a chance at me,”
“That’s not how things work,”
“Well, that’s what I’m telling my body. It doesn’t count,”
She scratched her head trying to deal with Jihoon. The flowers were there again, and having memorized the taste of them, it didn’t bother her anymore. It tasted like metal that was being melted and slowly burns her throat.
“The doctor said that you have one week until you’ll be undergoing the surgery. “
She noticed that he was once again wearing the pink sweater with daisies. She wanted to punch how insensitive he was that it felt like he was mocking her. Apart from the fact that he just seemed so bright at that moment.
“I hate your sweater,” she weakly told him. He smiled.
“I love you, too,”
“3 years ago, you were in accident remember?” Woojin started. Jihoon nodded, unsure of where everything was heading. One, Woojin called him telling him that Riseul was rushed to the hospital but he didn’t want to answer why.
They were by the hallway just outside of Riseul’s room, but Woojin strongly urged him not to enter.
“Is that all you can remember?” Jihoon furrowed his eyebrows.
“Of course,”
“You don’t remember that you had the Hanahaki?” Jihoon had the most confused look ever. He knew about the Hanahaki, but it was outrageous to think that he had been afflicted with the disease.  He crossed his arms, “No, I mean everyone acted like the accident was all. So I don’t see why I had the Hanahaki,” irritation was visible in his voice.
He wanted to see Riseul and ask how she was. He didn’t have time for some reminiscing of the past.
He remembered that day when they were at the cafe. Riseul excused herself to proceed to the bathroom and returned looking very pale before immediately asking to go home. He wanted to see her off, but she dismissed him immediately. Jihoon wondered if he did something wrong so he took a step back, and cut their communication before returning to text her about his successful date. “Back then, you lost consciousness because of the Hanahaki. It was bad luck that a car was coming through and hit you,” Woojin replied calmly. Jihoon didn’t like seeing Woojin calm because whenever he did, Jihoon was reminded of how immature he was and how Riseul and Woojin were perfect for each other.
“And, that night, you were struggling to live. The Hanahaki made everything complicated, and the doctors needed to remove it from you, but your mother didn’t want to. All because you weren’t able to confess your feelings,”
“To whom?”
“You’re seriously asking me that?” Woojin looked with disbelief. “You loved Riseul,”
Jihoon sat on the bench trying to register everything in, but he shook his head in denial.
“That night, it was Riseul who pushed for the operation. Your mother wanted to know if there was a chance that she liked you, but she didn’t… at that time because we were dating… she said she’ll take the blame for this. For 3 years, she lived with the guilt that she took away everything from you even your dream you know,”
“And now, I don’t know, Jihoon. I want you to save her. She has the Hanahaki. She likes you. She loves you so bad that I can’t save her. If you can’t save her heart, I’m begging you to save her voice. God damn it,” Woojin punched the wall in anger and grief and left to enter the room of Riseul where Jihoon caught a glimpse of her looking more tired than ever.
“You’re still here?” Riseul asked weakly. The visiting hours were almost over.
Jihoon nodded, “I’ve got 7 days to be with you, I’m not wasting it. I’ve already lost 3 years,”
“I’m sorry,” she said and rested her hand on Jihoon’s hair. He didn’t like his hair to be touched, but now she was freely ruffling it and patting it. “I took it away. Your dream and your feelings without even hearing it from you,”
“You did,” and he looked at her with a smile that sent all flowers to multiply inside her chest. She didn’t know how she managed to not even throw up. “That’s why listen to me now,”
“I’m listening,”
“It doesn’t count. Believe me. I’m falling for you little by little now,”
“Park Jihoon is a liar. You told me that I wouldn’t have bad dreams when I slept in your bed,”
“I did. Must be because I wanted to hug you and comfort you deep inside,”
“You’re seriously wooing me at a hospital?”
“Not necessarily, I already have your love, remember? I’m just asking you to give me back my feelings for you.... so stop blaming yourself about the past,”
“I’ve been telling that to myself for 3 years, you know that maybe I didn’t do anything wrong, but it doesn’t work,” she smiled sadly and lifted her hands and rested it on her stomach.
“If there’s one good thing that came out of that car crash, you know what? It would be the fact that I forgot about the Hanahaki. Technically, I didn’t have it which means that the emotions are all still here,” Jihoon pointed to his chest. “The human mind works wonders, and so I’ll save you just as you always do to me,”  “You’re betting so much,”
“I guess even back then... Maybe I’ve been saving it up all for now. I discovered another dream within me, and in exchange I’m  being given a chance now.. It wasn’t such a bad deal after all,”
If there was something Park Jihoon was good at, it was convincing people.
“Convince me,” Riseul told him, and he nodded before he left because visiting hours were over.
It has been the third day since she was admitted to the hospital. The flowers were still there, and she had lost all fear looking at them. She even pressed one to become a bookmark. It was such a pretty flower, and she patted her back.
She knew her aesthetics.
“What’s that?” Jihoon entered the room. He was visiting her religiously, and though he often came with Woojin, today, he was alone.
“Windflowers,” she replied with a soft smile.
“There’s a garden inside you now?” he joked and she punched his arm. “I’m quite the botanist, I say,” she retorted but felt tired soon after. Jihoon was busy fumbling through his phone and she closed her eyes.
“It has a nice meaning. Luck, protection and arrival of spring,” and her cheeks flushed. Blush is the only thing that gives her pale face a color now.
“What was my flower for you?” he asked innocently.
“Alstroemeria.  It means holding your friends close and showing how you cherish them. Chase your dreams and don’t give up on them,”
“Fits you,” he replied softly.
It hurt a little.
Holding your friends close.
Nothing would change. Why was she hoping, again?
Her breath hitched and she clenched her shirt, and pinched her chest. Jihoon held her and rested her head on his chest. It was beating so loud that it silenced her own heart.
He felt warm to touch and didn’t want to let go so she rested her head there. Soon, he began humming their old tune. Perhaps that was their very first connection that led to them forging many more.
“You know, it’s okay. If you forget about me,”
Her eyes widened, and tears started.
“I’m sorry,” she repeated and repeated until her voice was dry, and blood drip from her mouth.
“It’s going to be alright. I’m sure. We’ll still stay together. That’s why... Don’t be scared, okay? I’ll be there.”
She nodded and cried for hours while Jihoon rubbed her back and repeatedly saying it was okay.
Last four days...
Park Jihoon knew of the girl who went by the name of Bae Riseul. She was a shy girl who had a hard time communicating her feelings to others. But often, he’d catch a glimpse of her humming something.
Park Woojin was the first to get to know her. She has a nice smile. Soon, they became closer, but he knew that she liked Woojin better. Often, he wondered how he could be like Woojin.
But one day, he saw her singing, and he got so mesmerized that he watched until the end. He knew she had a talent in singing, but he always brushed them off because he knew she didn’t like to be invaded in her own space. But now, he wanted to enter that space.
“I like your voice. What song is that? Teach me?”
And he liked the comfortable space he shared with Riseul which was why it didn’t matter if she liked Woojin. It was something they shared. Only the two of them.
It wasn’t until Park Jihoon was 18 that he wanted to be more, and he hated himself for it because it meant that it would shift the balance of their friendship, so he took a step back, but the further he stepped back, the more his feelings grew.
And one day, he woke up, with flowers laying beside him.
At age 19, Park Jihoon had an accident, but he remembered that he wanted to tell Riseul something... though he didn’t know what exactly. That’s why he felt so happy when he saw Riseul by the doorway.
“Riseul !” he called out happily unsure why.
At age 21, there was a fear inside Jihoon that he couldn’t understand. It awakens whenever he saw Riseul. The fear dissipated when Riseul broke up with Woojin. And he hated himself for it.
So he tried to blind date. It worked well, honestly. He felt slight attraction to the girl, but it stopped when he received a call from Woojin saying that Riseul was rushed to the hospital. It felt like his whole world stopped.
He wanted to see her immediately, he didn’t know why.
It was midnight of day 6, and Riseul was talking to Jihoon over the phone. She asked him to sing her something, so he sang the song that the two of them composed.
(please watch the video and read the lyrics because it fits so well with Downpour that I just had to do this)
youtube
She slept right after, and dreamed that everything was okay.
The next day, Jihoon held her hand tightly.
“Jihoon?” he nodded.
“I love you,” he was about to mouth off something but she hushed him.
“Save that when I tell you I love you again,” she smiled and patted his head before he leaned for a quick kiss on her forehead.
”See you later,” he said and watched her fall into slumber as they injected the anesthesia.
This foolishly regret-filled song I hope it reaches the sky My prayer that spent all night in tears I hope it reaches your heart
“Are we late?” a man asked Riseul.
“In 30 minutes or so,” she replied, and they held their hands together.
“You’re the best man, huh. Don’t break down in there, alright?” she teased as she rested her head on his shoulder.
“You’re also going to give your message, you know. And who was it who always cried whenever we were having chick flick marathons?” she rolled her eyes. They entered the church. They weren’t late, and over the distance Daewhi waved his hand motioning for them to come and sit. Jinyoung was there too beside him and she smiled because the two finally ended up together.
The ceremony was soon over and she was called over to give her message, and sing a song to the couple. Before she stood up, she leaned over to whisper something to his ear.
“I’m sorry for making you wait,” he looked at her confused, but she just smiled before proceeding to the stage.
“Before I begin, I want to say that I’m offering this song for the couple of the night, but at the same time, I would sing this song for him,” and she pointed to a surprised man.

Authors notes: This has been one heck of a ride for me, from the first day that I began conceptualizing for this to the day I managed to finish writing it. I hope that I was able to provide everyone a wonderful story and hope that I managed to make some of you cry, but most of all I hope that I was able to deliver a good ending for this story.
I wish to hear your feedback regarding the story, but the fact that you read this alone is enough  (≧◡≦) ♡
Thank you for all your support ^O^ . It overwhelmed me when I saw notifications specially since this is the first time I did this. I’m still confused about many things in Tumblr, but I’m working it out as I’m preparing to write more stories and sharing them all with you.
Please look forward to my next works, and here’s a sneak peek of another angsty (?) fic I’m working on titled :The Constants of Constellation
Every person has their constellation tattoo found on their wrist which glows when they have found their fated person... Bae Riseul does not have a constellation on her wrist, but instead has a compass that helps lead others to their fated one hence her nickname of “The Guide” , but her life is thrown into a total disarray when she met Park Jihoon, an enigma, given that he too has no constellation on his wrist and the only person whose Riseul’s compass does not work on..
I hope you’ll continue to support me. Once again, thank you so much for reading Downpour.  (≧◡≦) ♡  ❤ (ɔˆз(ˆ⌣ˆc)

MILK ; 牛奶 | JINHWI
Tumblr media
pairings: bae jinyoung x lee daehwi, mentioned minhwan and ongniel
summary: the words tattooed on your arm are the first words your soulmate will say to you. or ; daehwi grows up to be a police officer. or ; every human being is born with white blood.
warnings: violence, murder, coarse language
“stop being so salty, daehwi. you're gonna find him one day." jihoon rolls his eyes.
"my soulmate is a loser who's gonna ask me 'have you seen my packet of milk?' are you serious?" daehwi scoffs while woojin bursts into laughter.
"anyway. the new student is gorgeous. daehwi, you're really lucky to be sitting next to him." samuel pipes up while sipping on his apple juice.
"bae jinyoung, right? he's so pretty," seonho adds on, and the two high-five.
"he hasn't even said anything to me yet." daehwi comments, and goes back to slurping down his noodles.
a month goes by, and jinyoung has yet to utter a single word to daehwi. but daehwi couldn't care less today, especially after what happened at assembly.
"everybody, we are deeply saddened by the murder of our student im youngmin. may he rest in peace." the principal's words linger in his head.
daehwi can't even believe it - his childhood friend was gone, just like that. he knew that there were many murder cases in this town, but he never expected his dear friend to be a victim.
the day youngmin's death was announced, was the day daehwi decided he wants to be a police officer when he grows up.
daehwi's in class while waiting for lunch to be over. he came back to class earlier today, since he had to rush his incomplete homework. it’s been 2 months, yet he hasn’t spoken with his new seatmate at all.
he's desperately trying to recall formulas for the physics worksheet in front of him when he feels a tap on his shoulder. he turns to face jinyoung.
"did you see my packet of milk?"
it can't be.
daehwi nearly falls off his chair and lifts up his sleeve. his tattoo matched whatever jinyoung had just asked, word for word. he gulps.
"sorry, i haven't."
this time, jinyoung's mouth drops open, and he looks down at his own arm. "are, are you my,"
daehwi leans in closer to jinyoung and lets him have a look at his arm. jinyoung shows him his own, too.
they're at a party hosted by seongwoo to celebrate their exams being over. "yeah, jinyoung, 6 months ago, daehwi was complaining about how his soulmate was going to ask him about a packet of milk," woojin grins. "he was so annoyed by it!" daehwi flicks woojin's forehead. while jinyoung simply chuckles and presses a kiss onto daehwi's forehead.
daehwi has never seen his boyfriend cry.
not until today, when hyunbin's murder was reported on the news.
"oh my gosh. jinyoung. so many people have been killed," daehwi groans. "someone else just died."
"it's getting fucking scary," jinyoung's lips begin to curve downwards, his nose and eyes beginning to sting. "it's making me scared to even leave the house."
daehwi sighs, leaning onto his boyfriend's chest and wiping his tears away. "it's been 2 years since youngmin was murdered. and now hyunbin and 7 other people have been, too." he sighs. "jinyoung, i'm worried and scared at the same time. who even is this heartless to murder so many people?"
"once you become a cop, you'll help fight for justice, right?" jinyoung croaks. "you'll catch that asshole who's been killing everyone, right?" daehwi hums in response.
"i can't believe hyunbin is gone. i barely knew youngmin, too." jinyoung cries, while daehwi tears up.
daehwi breathes deeply as they fall asleep in each other's arms.
5 YEARS LATER.
"this murderer is very, very dangerous. it's suspected that they're responsible for im youngmin, kwon hyunbin, kim chungha, choi yoojung, jung sewoon and many other's deaths as well." minhyun, the head of department speaks. "it's believed their blood is black. since they did allegedly commit so many crimes, it would make sense.”
"we need to catch them as fast as we can. it's been about 9 years, and they're still at large." dongho adds, and everyone agrees. "for now, they are believed to be living in this neighborhood," he says as he points to an area on the map. "the murderer is believed to be a male, especially with the amount of strength they possess. however, this cannot be comfirmed yet."
daehwi heads home with heavy footsteps. it's around 12 in the morning, and he sees jinyoung on the couch, eating ramen.
"hey," jinyoung starts, giving his husband a quick peck.
"hi, hyung."
"you're tired, aren't you?"
"of course. guess what, the murderer supposedly lives in our neighborhood."
jinyoung chokes on the broth. "are you serious? and i thought we could finally live in peace,"
daehwi shakes his head. "fucking hell, it's been 9 years, and there aren't any new leads."
to say that daehwi was worried would be one hell of an understatement - this serial killer had murdered so many of his friends, wrecked so many lives, and they just had to live in the same neighborhood as him and his husband? daehwi's muscles tense. what's worse is that, jinyoung, being a dance teacher, always came home late since some of his lessons ended at 11pm. he didn't want his husband to get hurt.
daehwi bitterly accepts the fact that things don't always end up the way you want it to when it's 3am and jinyoung isn't home yet. the older had not contacted him all night, and daehwi felt like his heart was threatening to spill out of his mouth.
i've lost so many people, i don't want to fucking lose jinyoung.
he jumps off the couch when he hears the door creak open. he rushes to the door, only to be met with a red and puffy-eyed jinyoung, his hair in an absolute mess, a scab carressing his cheek, milk white blood on his hands.
"hyung, are you okay?" tears threaten to spill out of his eyes. he heaves a sigh of relief when he sees that jinyoung's blood was white.
"the murderer, that guy," jinyoung stutters. "he,”
daehwi grabs their first aid kid and cleans jinyoung up. he learns that his currently distraught husband was assaulted by a man dressed in all black while he was on the way home from the dance studio.
once his husband steps out from the shower, daehwi wraps his arms around him.
"i'm glad you're here," daehwi chokes out. "hyung, i love you."
"i love you too."
daehwi doesn't waste another moment. he connects their lips.
"go to the station tomorrow to give a statement, okay?" daehwi breathes out when they pull away. jinyoung nods in agreement. "i won't let whoever did this to you and many other innocent people get away."
"kim samuel has been found dead in his apartment after it had been broken into. it's believed that this has been comitted by the notorious serial killer. there's not enough evidence, since this killer is extremely smart." jonghyun begins, changing the slides of the presentation. "however, the cctv footage of the lift lobby shows the killer. he's dressed in all black, which is exactly what bae jinyoung described to us when he was assualted. a male dressed in all black."
"plus, if you zoom in - this killer's blood is black. extremely black." daniel adds, pointing to the presentation. "this happened at around 9.45pm yesterday night."
daehwi can't stop his tears from flowing. neither can jinyoung.
"now samuel too?" jinyoung switches off the television after the reporter was done talking about samuel's murder.
"jinyoung, i'm fucking scared," daehwi's tears dripped fom his chin. "i literally was just texting him at 8pm last night, and an hour or so later and he was killed? what the fuck is going on,"
they hold each other, the only sounds in the house being the blaring of the air conditioning and their sobs.
daehwi pouts as daniel takes a sip of his coffee.
"hey, i'm stressed and scared too. i'm worried that something is gonna happen to seongwoo or my other loved ones. i'm sure minhyun-hyung feels that way about jaehwan-hyung too," daniel comforts him, rubbing his back. "i know what it feels like to lose someone. most of the victims were our friends in school. it's really saddening, i know. samuel and the others wouldn't want you to sulk like this." daniel stops to wipe away a few tears. "let's catch this horrible person and serve justice, okay?" he smiles, and daehwi's lips curve up in the slightest as he nods.
"let's catch him, hyung."
"babe, there's a letter for you," jinyoung says, walking towards his hubsand as he looks through the rest of the mail.
daehwi puts the cup of hot chocolate jinyoung had made for him earlier down to grab the envelope from the older male. he opens it up, and he chokes on his own saliva as he reads it.
You wanna know who I am so badly, huh? Seongwoo is next. Say your goodbyes. PS: Jinyoung will be leaving you very soon. xx
there's a drop of black blood spread across the bottom of the letter. daehwi feels his stomach churn, and his lips tremble as the word 'hyung' comes out of his mouth.
jinyoung raises an eyebrow and takes a look at it. his eyes widen, as his jaw retracts and his neck muscles tighten.
daehwi snaps out of it quickly and grabs a ziplock bag, placing the letter, together with the envelope, in it.
"i'm taking this to the station tomorrow. or rather, in a few hours," daehwi mutters as he glances at the clock. 2am. he turns to look at his husband. his eyes are glossy, and he looks even paler than usual. "hyung..."
an avalanche of tears are falling from jinyoung's eyes, and daehwi's heart breaks.
"i won't let anything happen to you, okay? hyung, i'm not letting anything happen to you. or seongwoo-hyung, or anyone else. i'll catch him, hyung, i promise." daehwi tells jinyoung as he leans in, pressing his lips against jinyoung's.
the ugly thought of jinyoung leaving him floods his mind, but daehwi tries his best to push it away.
hyung will not leave me.
daehwi's eyelids are heavy but he remembers to shoot daniel a text before going to bed.
daehwi: hyung, i got a letter in the mail from the killer apparently
daehwi: black blood was smeared onto it, it said jinyoung would leave me soon. it also said his next target was seongwoo-hyung
daehwi: please protect him, i'm bringing the letter to the station later so u can take a look at it
daniel: Oh my fuck
daniel: Shit.. will do
daniel: Thanks for letting me know
daehwi puts his phone down on the nightstand, and within the next few moments, he's already deep in slumber, in jinyoung's warm embrace.
daehwi wakes up at 6am, ready for work, only to find his bedroom door open. jinyoung is still sound asleep next to him. he walks out of their room and he quickly realises their apartment door is ajar. there's no sign of forced entry - and as far as he can see, nothing has been stolen. his heart is pounding wildly in his chest.
he goes back into their bedroom, shaking jinyoung gently. "hyung, i think someone broke in last night," jinyoung stirs a little before he wakes up. "what?"
"hyung, i think someone broke in. the door's wide open, and the front door is open, too."
"are you serious? is anything missing?"
"nope. what time did you sleep last night?"
"a little after you fell asleep? everything was still normal, though."
daehwi takes a look at jinyoung. he then realises how stressed jinyoung looks - his dark circles have been getting significantly darker. i just want all of this to end. i want to live happily with hyung.
"i'll call the team in to do a check later. what time are you leaving for work?" his husband replies with a "10am" and daehwi heads to the bathroom to get ready.
he looks through his bag to make sure he has everything he needs.
"hyung, the letter isn't here anymore?" daehwi exclaims, and jinyoung gets out of bed to take a look. "hyung, it's gone. do you think whoever broke in took it?"
jinyoung runs a hand through his hair. "if so, that person might either be the killer or someone associated to him."
daehwi sighs. "hyung, i really want you to be safe."
"i really want you to be safe too, daehwi."
jinyoung closes the gap between their lips.
"we looked around daehwi's apartment. there was no signs of forced entry, no fingerprints or footprints." minhyun speaks, resting his hands on the table. "daehwi also received a letter from the killer that he had planned to show to us today. the letter was typed out, and so was the address, so we can't do any handwriting tests. however, it seems like whoever had broken into his home has stolen it."
they continue with their discussion, and daehwi's mind is in a whirl.
daehwi: hey
daehwi: how's seongwoo doing
daehwi: it's been 2 weeks since anyth happened so i suppose he's fine?
daniel: Yup! He is. Jisung and Sungwoon stay with us now to look after him and the house when I'm not around
daehwi: ahh that's good
daehwi: maybe i should get jihoon and woojin to live with us so they can look after baejin lmao
daehwi: the killer said baejin is gonna leave me soon.. i really don't want that to happen
daniel: It won't. We're close to solving this case
daniel: We can do it :)
2 weeks and many changes of locks later, everything has seemed to die down a little. daehwi has the day off today, and jinyoung doesn't have to go to work until later in the afternoon. they're enjoying the day together. daehwi is cooking rice, while jinyoung is chopping up the meat.
daehwi hears jinyoung hiss in pain, and he takes a gander in his lover's direction. "hy-hyung,"
black blood is flowing from jinyoung's finger.
every human is born with milk white blood. your blood gets darker with every crime you commit.
the older smirks, and daehwi can't take his eyes off the blood. he has already established a conclusion in his mind, but he refuses to believe it. he's rooted to the ground. his throat feels dry, his head is spinning.
"are you surprised, baby?" jinyoung chuckles, smirk never leaving his face. a chill sweeps down daehwi's spine as he slowly steps backwards, back hitting the refrigerator.
the taller male leans in and cups daehwi's face with his clean hand, and the latter flinches at the contact.
"you wanna know who killed youngmin, hyunbin and samuel? you wanna know who supposedly attacked me? you wanna know who sent you that letter? you wanna know who broke into our apartment?" he speaks slowly, in a disgustingly sweet yet sickly manner. daehwi can't even speak. he can't even think. his lips slowly part as he stares at jinyoung in absolute shock and horror.
jinyoung smears the black liquid onto daehwi's bottom lip. "i did it."
"hyung, you're lying, you're lying," is all daehwi manages to choke out, his heart beating rapidly.
jinyoung grins as he heads to the couch, grabbing his backpack and pulling out a knife, clad with dried blood, black mask, black cap, black hoodie and black jeans. he walks back to daehwi.
the shorter male feels his heart almost stop.
"i'm the serial killer you've been searching for, baby." jinyoung laughs darkly. "i'm a good liar and actor, aren't i, sweetheart?"

Conversation
Jinyoung: How do you finish an entire juice box in 4 seconds?
Daehwi: I gave it the real good succ.
Daehwi: There, I said it. Is that what you wanted from me?
Jinyoung: I can tell you with more certainty than I've had before in my life that that is not what I wanted from you.

hi!! can i request a werewolf!guanlin where his pack/wanna one offer you as his mate? thank u i love ur writing!! :)
[hello, hello! guanlin is a lil hard for me to write because he’s so YOUNG !!  i hope it’s okay !]
Tumblr media
pairing: minor lai guanlin x healer! reader, jinhwi, panwinkgenre: fantasy, mild angst !!summary: You’re a nosy healer apprentice left in charge of the cottage for a night. It’s only natural for you to want to help lost boy Lai Guanlin, but becoming someone’s mate is not what you signed up for.(contains what is likely the most pg-13 version of alpha/beta/omega dynamics you’ll find on the internet, haha. NOTE: this series ends with daniel x reader. )
GRIMALKIN:  one | two | three || untrouble
when you turned eighteen years old, the village healer took you on as her apprentice
after all, you were always hanging around her cottage, attracted by the smell of fresh herbs and enchantments, and you often offered to help her sweep the floor or chop the roots
maybe she felt sorry for you because the alternative would have been looking for someone to marry, as your aunt and uncle could no longer afford to raise you
or it could have been the natural way you took to the more mystical parts of healing, the prayers and spells slipping easily from your mouth
in any case, living in the healer’s cottage isn’t a bad deal, and you’re nosily maternal enough to enjoy taking care of the various townspeople who drop by
when your master is summoned to the castle to heal the liege lord’s son, she leaves you in charge of the cottage, reminding you to be wary of the wolves
you nod respectfully, but it’s not as if the howling during the full moon has ever gotten too near where you live, and no one’s ever spotted a wolf anyway
the townspeople have been keeping healthy since the last bout of measles went around, so you don’t expect anyone to come around, but right as the sun’s about to set, you hear frantic knocking at the door
standing at the doorstep are two scared-looking boys, begging you to come help their little brother out
“please, miss, he’s got the worst fever and we don’t know what to do”
you recognize them as two of the lost boys, a group of orphans who live together in an abandoned cottage near the border of the village
there are always whispers about them, how they’re a strange bunch, more animal than human
it’s the knowledge that no one else is likely to help them that has you putting on your cloak and following them to their home
they’re holding hands, these two beautiful boys, and you envy them for a moment as you trail behind, clutching at the jade pendant on your chest and the basket holding your usual concoctions and herbs
you get to their cottage and a snaggletoothed boy opens the door, his face filled with worry
“jihoon’s trying to keep it at bay, but i don’t think he can do it for any longer.”
he shuts the door behind you and locks it, and that doesn’t alarm you as much as it should because your focus is on the boy lying down on the blanket
his forehead is bright with sweat, and even in the candlelight, his pale skin is unearthly
you check his pulse and are shocked by how hot he is and how fast his heart is beating
another gorgeous boy sits beside you and wraps his hand around yours, and you figure this must be the jihoon they spoke of
“miss,” he says, and when you look into his eyes they seem to glow a beastly gold, “guanlin needs you.”
their ‘little brother’ whimpers, thrashing about on the blanket at jihoon’s touch
“no, hyung,” he murmurs, as if it hurts to speak, “i want you. why can’t i have you like jinyoung-hyung and daehwi-hyung have each other?”
the boy beside you shakes his head sadly, making soothing noises, “it can’t be, guanlin. your alpha blood sings for an omega, not for a beta like me or woojin. Y/N here is your missing piece.”
your eyes go wide and you try to get up, but jihoon’s grip on you is firm
on your left is the snaggletoothed boy—woojin, you think?—from before, his face grim
“if you don’t accept him as your mate, he will die,” he says
“i’m not here to be anyone’s missing piece,” you hiss, trying to shake yourself from jihoon’s iron grasp
“i’m not lying, Y/N,” jihoon says, “when i say you’re one of us. haven’t you wondered why that witch took you into your home, why the forest opens its secret paths and groves to you?”
you shake your head and he growls, and for the first time since you got there, fear and dread fill your heart
he shuts his eyes, beckoning for someone behind you, you turn your head, but no one is there
when you face forward, the two boys from before—jinyoung and daehwi, guanlin had said—were sitting before you, their hands still firmly clasped together
“it’s not a bad thing,” one of them says, his eyes focused on guanlin but darting up at you every so often, and he adds, “there are secrets omegas can only unlock when they’ve met their alpha.”
the other boy reaches out to you, his hand on your wrist gentle, and he says, “jinyoung-hyung is free to do anything he likes, Y/N-sshi. all the magic cares about are the ritual and its players.”
“you can save him,” jihoon says, and the desperation in his voice is what does you in
you nod at him silently, and woojin takes your hand and places it over guanlin’s throat, your index finger at his pulsepoint
woojin begins to mutter quickly, and your hand starts to tingle with warmth
jihoon murmurs words in your ear, and you take up the chant as the heat in your arm becomes unbearable
“i take lai guanlin to be my mate, the alpha to my omega, to let him pass through his flux night safe and whole.”
guanlin begins to stir beneath your fingers, and you chant louder, the room tense as a taut string
he sits up with a gasp, his breath caught in his throat
“say yes, guanlin! please!” jihoon pleads
and guanlin wheezes out, “i accept,” before falling back onto the blanket, unconscious
as woojin lets go of your hand, you breathe out, feeling a strange sort of power fill you
when you feel at his pulse again, it’s slowed down to a normal rate, and though his body is warm, it’s nothing like the furnace it had been only moments before
and when you turn your hand over, your palm is marked with an odd rune, a light silver symbol that mirrors the one on guanlin’s collarbone, right where you’d held him
you bite your lip, a nervous habit, and your canines pierce through, and your bottom lip begins to bleed
when you feel at them, you swear they’re sharper than they’d ever been
“i’ve gone and mated with a wolf,” you say, and you begin to laugh, hysteria creeping into your voice as you realize the gravity of what you’ve done.

► begin (lee daehwi)
first of all i’d like to thank @squishjin (both admins) and @danielsoftgf for helping me through this lil daehwi thingy . . . now, i hope y’all can enjoy this !! <3
“I don’t . . .”
Taking in a deep breath, Daehwi forces himself to look up from his smoothie.
“I don’t think I can be in this friendship anymore.”
He stands up once the words have come out, unable to look at any of the four because he’s sure that if he does, he’ll get back into bad habits and come back.
This would be the end. Finally.
Each step toward the door is painful, but Daehwi’s sure that the pain will get better.
He reaches the door, much too quickly for his preference.
And then he looks back.
“Your turn, Daehwi!”
Daehwi looks up from his phone to look up at the baseball bat being extended toward him, and then raises his gaze even more to look at the tall male holding the bat.
“Guacamolin, my dear love, I’m trying to update my Twice fanblog. Please.”
“You have a girl group fanblog too? Man, you’re just like Jinyoung.”
Daehwi seems to come alive at the mention of another male in their little friend group.
“You’re interested, aren’t you? He has a Pristin fanblog or something . . . Aren’t they that one girl group that released that one song like Wee Woong or something?”
“Lin, Euiwoong is a human being. Not a song released by a super cute girl group. Now, if you don’t mind, I have followers waiting for this update.”
Guanlin only responds by nudging Daehwi with the baseball bat, and the sitting male lets out a soft sigh before standing up and replacing the phone in his hands with the baseball bat. Once he manages to properly hold the bat, he looks back toward Guanlin with an expectant gaze.
“Now what do you want me to do, Lin?” Daehwi questions, head tilting to the side and eyebrow raising. It only sinks in when Guanlin points at the cone with a baseball sitting happily on top.
The poor baseball, it would never expect that its death would come so soon.
The look in Guanlin’s eyes tells Daehwi that there’s no way that he’ll get out of this, so he just lets out a soft sigh and gets in position . . . and then he swings, spinning with the bat in his hands.
Daehwi’s head snaps toward the source of a familiar high-pitched laugh, and when he looks toward where Guanlin is pointing, his jaw drops.
He missed.
And for some reason, he finds himself laughing with Guanlin, bat falling from his hands as he claps his hands together. When the laughing session has come to an end, it takes Daehwi a few moments to realize that Guanlin is picking up the bat from the ground. He watches in confusion, and then realization hits when Guanlin swings and hits the baseball, watching as it mysteriously disappears into the sky.
The boy then turns to grin at Daehwi, and he finds himself grinning back.
“I got some water for you!”
Daehwi stares at Seongwoo who stares straight back, and there’s a moment of silence between the two.
(Wow. Seongwoo can actually stay quiet, I’m shocked.)
After that strange moment of exchanged eye contact and silence, the two quickly exchange their drinks and grin at each other.
“Drink well.”
“You too.”
They both drink their water at the same time, and they both end up spitting out their water at the same time because what the heck was that?
Apparently, today must have been a twin day for them, because they speak at the same time with the exact same words being spoken.
“How did you know? I thought I was the only one, gosh darn it.”
Daehwi takes both cups of salt water, placing them down on the table and crossing his arms because he can’t accept that he just had a tie between him and Seongwoo. He was going to win this prank war, one way or another, especially if it meant taking down master pranker Ong Seongwoo. (Also the oldest member in the little friend group that Daehwi was always with.)
Seongwoo gives Daehwi a cheeky grin, ruffling the young male’s hair and nearly taking a sip of his water before realizing what he was doing.
“I guess today was a draw. You’re definitely going down next time though, kid.” Seongwoo speaks, only resulting in an attempted glare from Daehwi. The attempt to intimidate doesn’t work at all.
“Nope.”
“Yep.”
“No way.”
“Yes way.”
That’s when Seongwoo pulls Daehwi into a headlock, and the two walk out of the room laughing as the thought of future pranks form in their minds.
“Why do you have to keep butting into my life like this?” Woojin snaps, exasperated.
Daehwi feels a tinge of hurt, but it’s soon pushed away by the feeling of annoyance because why wasn’t he allowed to feel worried for his friend when he was making such dangerous decisions?
As if he doesn’t notice the tears threatening to spill from Daehwi’s eyes, Woojin continues.
“It’s my life, and it’s my decision. Who do you think you are to make my decisions for me?”
Taking in a shaky breath, Daehwi forces himself to hold back the tears no matter how hard they hurt. It’s fine, it’s totally fine. Woojin just isn’t in his right state of mind, Daehwi tells himself as he stares straight at Woojin with glassy eyes.
“Fine, then.” Daehwi mutters, wiping away the tears before they can fall. “I’ll talk to you when you’re ready to see what you’ve done wrong, and how your decision can and will hurt you.”
The words are finally out, and Daehwi allows the tears to fall once he turns away. Each step away from Woojin gets more and more painful, but Daehwi finds that the words that Woojin had spoken were much more painful.
A few days later, Daehwi receives a text from the older male to meet at the usual café, and they talk out their mistakes and manage to make up. Daehwi acts like he doesn’t notice the obvious bruises all over Woojin, but once they leave the café with drinks in hand, Daehwi turns to Woojin.
“Let me go fix those up for you, yeah?”
Woojin smiles down at Daehwi, giving him a nod and they both walk home together, feeling thankful that their friendship hadn’t been broken despite the fight.
It hurts.
Daehwi stares at the scene in front of him, hands shaking by his side. The rain falling from the sky slips down his cheeks, but . . . Along with the rain, there seems to be tears mixing in.
He can’t bring himself to wipe the tears away, as he’s still unable to accept whatever he’s seeing. Daehwi only raises a hand to clench at his shirt where his heart was, where he felt so much pain that seemed painful enough to make him drop dead right then and there.
Is that how heartbreak feels?
Daehwi doesn’t want to look, doesn’t want to see what’s going on, but it’s so hard to tear his eyes away. He couldn’t believe it. Was this really . . . Did this really have to happen?
And then Daehwi finds himself smiling bitterly at the scene, shaking his head in disbelief.
There’s no way.
But the scene is laid out, right in front of his eyes.
Jinyoung has his arms wrapped around a small, shaking male, and Daehwi has no doubt that the person that Jinyoung is holding is the one and only Park Jihoon.
Daehwi doesn’t really have anything against Jihoon for the most part, but right now he can’t feel anything but this burning feeling at the pit of his stomach.
Jealousy?
That was totally fine! Daehwi has a totally logical reason for this feeling, right?
After all, if Jihoon is wearing the sweater that Daehwi gave to Jinyoung, then it’s perfectly fine to feel like this. If that sweater is the sweater that Jinyoung calls extremely special to him, the sweater that Jinyoung says only he would wear, then it’s perfectly fine to feel this way.
Daehwi can’t look away, only watches as Jinyoung pulls his head back and places a kiss on Jihoon’s forehead. He watches as Jihoon looks up at Jinyoung and gives him a smile that will totally have Jinyoung falling for him, and then Daehwi finally looks away.
He looks up toward the sky, closing his eyes and allowing the rain to blend in with the tears streaming down his face.
And, as he forces a smile onto his face, Daehwi turns around and walks away. Because he shouldn’t let this bother him.
Bae Jinyoung is only a friend to him, after all.
(If friends make your heart beat so rapidly, if friends make you want to kiss them good night and good morning, if friends make you smile like an idiot every time you see them, then Bae Jinyoung is most definitely just a friend to Lee Daehwi . . . Right?)
Forcing a smile has become a regular thing in Lee Daehwi’s life.
He realizes this as the events become more common.
Everyone seems to have forgotten him, going out too see movies without him, going out for bubble tea without him, going out for BBQ without him.
Daehwi accepts the mistake each time, shrugging it off with a smile and the words of “it’s fine, don’t worry about it”.
Somehow, they believe it every single time, and Daehwi is thankful. He doesn’t want to become the reason for the sadness his friends could feel, so he stays silent about it.
He doesn’t want to become poison to them.
So maybe it’s time to leave.
“I’m really sorry, Daehwi.”
Daehwi snaps out of his thoughts to look at the four males looking at him with sad gazes, and he repeats the lie that he’s been saying over and over for a long time now.
“It’s really okay, guys. It’s not that much of a big deal, I was busy anyways. Really, don’t feel guilty.”
When everyone relaxes, Daehwi knows that the lie has worked on them.
“Well, it’s been a long day and we have a test tomorrow so I’m heading home to study.” Daehwi stands up as he speaks, tossing his bag over his shoulder. He acts as if he doesn’t notice the apologetic gaze that follows him as he heads toward the door. “Good night, guys! Don’t miss me too much!”
When Daehwi gets home, he pulls out the notebook that Jinyoung bought for him on his birthday along with his pen that plays as his good luck charm on test days.
It’s time to leave, Daehwi tells himself once more.
And then he begins to write.
Daehwi tears his gaze away from the group, pushing the door to the café open.
As he takes his first step into his new life, he takes in a deep breath and finds himself smiling.
Finally.
For a while now, I’ve been living my life with ‘we’ and ‘us’. I think that now it’s time for me to begin the life that I should have started with. It is time for me to begin my life of ‘I’ and ‘me’. This isn’t my final goodbye, of course. Maybe we’ll meet again one day, and I will be truly ready to begin the life of ‘we’ and ‘us’.
Thank you for taking care of me for so long.

my princess
— Requested?: No — Group: Wanna One — Characters: Lee Daehwi + Bae Jinyoung — Genre: Fluff — Message: Jinhwi shippers are always winning! If you don't know where I got this idea from go watch the preview of Wanna One on Happy Together. This is my first writing on this blog so I hope you guys like it. ——————————— The sun peeked through the thin white curtains on the typical Sunday morning. As usual, Jinyoung fluttered his eyes open to look at his adorable boyfriend Daehwi curled in a ball while still sleeping. He turned his body in direction of his sleeping boyfriend to give him a soft kiss on the forehead, still letting him rest. "Jinyoung," Daehwi whispered, barely audible. Daehwi's sudden speaking surprised Jinyoung a bit, as he wasn't used to this. "Did I wake you up? I'm so sorry." Jinyoung whispered back into the younger's ear as he wrapped his arms around Daehwi and pulled him a bit closer. The cotton smell of the recently washed blanket that covered the both of them made them feel even more comfortable. "I was just waking up when you kissed me, thank you for letting that be the first thing to happen in my day." Daehwi replied as he lightly gave Jinyoung's nose a tap. They had already been in their relationship for several months, but acts like those from Daehwi still made Jinyoung a little flustered. Both of the boys cuddled for the next ten minutes whispering sweet little nothings into each others' ears, until Daehwi had something to tell Jinyoung. "Jinyoung, is it okay if I can show you something today?" Daehwi inquired. "Of course, darling. What is it?" Jinyoung responded. "I have a box of old memories from when I was young, and I'd thought I would share it with you." Daehwi looked up at Jinyoung with a smile. "Aww, I would love to see my baby when he was a baby!" Jinyoung smoothly replied, or at least he thought he did. "So you're saying I'm not a baby anymore?" Daehwi pouted. "You'll always be my baby." Jinyoung said as he pinched Daehwi's cheeks. The both of them got up from their bed with blue and white sheets and cleaned up. Daehwi put on his favorite shirt, a lavender cotton t-shirt with a rose centered over his heart, and Jinyoung put on a plain red t-shirt. After fully dressing, Daehwi was washing his face in the restroom when Jinyoung sneaked in and gave him a sudden back hug. "Hey! You startled me!" Daehwi exclaimed as he jumped a bit from the sudden contact. Jinyoung only hummed in response and rested his head on his boyfriend's shoulder as he continued to clean his face. The both of them finished their morning activities, but Daehwi finished earlier. He waited for Jinyoung at the door of their shared bedroom with an eager expression taking over his face. "Jinyoung! Can we wait for breakfast? I really want to show you my box." Jinyoung giggled in response to the boy's request. "That's okay with me, as long as I get to spend quality time with you, that's all that matters." Daehwi let out a soft cheer as he heard Jinyoung's response. He started to rummage through the closest full of clothes, overdue library books, and different bed sheets. After a few minutes with help of Jinyoung, he found the dusty cardboard box hidden in a corner. He pulled it out, and sat with Jinyoung on the beige carpet. "All of this is from when I was born until I was about 7 years old, hopefully nothing embarrassing is here." Daehwi explained with a nervous chuckle. He opened up the box with all sorts of knick knacks and such in there. "What could this be?" Jinyoung asked as he pulled out a plastic toy bee with several different numbers and colors on all sides of it. "That was my favorite toy when I was about 1 year old. I named him Zem, I always took him to everywhere I went, even once when I went to my aunt's wedding. I really love him." Daehwi responded enthusiastically. "You still love me more, right?" Jinyoung asked. Daehwi started to giggle at the thought of his boyfriend getting jealous over an old toy, and he let him know. "Jinyoung, why are you getting jealous over that?" "I-I'm not! I just wanted to make sure." Daehwi smiled as he leaned over to give Jinyoung a quick smooch, and went back to looking through more memories. In ten minutes, most of the things in the box were scattered all over the floor, but one item remained in the box, which Jinyoung pulled out. "Daehwi, why do you have a princess tiara in your box? Did you wear this around as a child?" Jinyoung asked, somewhat confused. Daehwi's cheeks heated up as he asked that. He loved wearing that tiara when he was little, and being called a princess. "I- um..." Daehwi couldn't form a proper response. "It's okay, just tell me. I won't ever judge you." Jinyoung said as he patted his boyfriend's soft hair. It took a few seconds for Daehwi to mouth a response. "I liked to wear that when I was little. I enjoyed being called a princess by my family." Daehwi said as he covered his face from his embarrassment. "Really? That's so cute." Jinyoung chirped. He took the tiara that was still in his hands and placed it on top of Daehwi's head. "You like it?" Daehwi asked, surprised. "You look so cute, my princess." Jinyoung told him as he pulled him into a hug. Daehwi felt his heart warm up as Jinyoung said that, he would of never thought that his significant other would be willing to call him that. The both of them laid side by side on the ground, enjoying the silence. After some minutes, Daehwi broke the silence. "Thank you so much." "Anything for my princess. You're only mine." Jinyoung muttered. Before he knew it, Daehwi slipped some words out of his mouth. "I love you." Jinyoung's eyes widened as he heard him say that, although they've been dating for a good amount of time, none of them had ever said that to each other. "I-I love you." Jinyoung said. "Why didn't you say, 'I love you too?'" Daehwi inquired. "I feel that if I say 'I love you' it holds more meaning than just agreeing, you know?" Jinyoung replied. Daehwi sighed in response to his boyfriend's lovely words. "Jinyoung, I'm hungry now. Can we go eat?" Daehwi asked while rubbing his stomach. Jinyoung smiled while looking at him. "Anything for you, my princess." He said before picking him up bridal style and giving him a quick peck while heading to the kitchen. "I love us." Daehwi told Jinyoung. "I love us." Jinyoung said.
