The Ketosis Experiment
Who is tired of cravings? I know I am. Tired of being tired, craving carbs no matter how little or much I eat. Always being hungry. Gaining weight, and rarely losing, even when eating "health".  
My nutrition and fitness journey starts at the young age of 19, fresh out of highschool.  Low fat vegetarian was the gospel to me. Working out for hours a day, eating as little as possible. You may lose temporarily on this, but not for long. Fast forward 8 years, and I discovered Paleo. Up the fat, lower the carbs, lift heavy. I lose over 25 pounds and feel great (almost). But see, I still had to fight that dreaded sweet tooth, even on paleo low carb diet. Fast forward another year, and throw in some stress of life (toddler, work, relationships) and you find me having given into those cravings for about a year on and off. Back up to 135, barely working out. 
I wanted to find a way to lose, have energy, AND not feel deprived. Not crave sugar 24/7! I was depressed, I missed my fitness. I started researching ketosis, after hearing so much about it in regards to weight loss and how it even helps with cancer and diseases for some people. I bought and read, "The Art and Science Behind Low Carbohydrate Living" and listen to Jimmy Moore's podcast daily. Its been 2 weeks so far and here's the results:
-Noticeable LESS cravings for sugar. 
-Being able to go to bed without my "night" snack
-Down 6 pounds and several inches.
-Improved mental clarity, less depression and anxiety.
-Energy through the roof! 
Its only the first 2 weeks, and I am learning more and more. This will be my first hand account of my journey on a ketosis diet.
