Industrial electronic artist Staytus is back with her darkest and most powerful track yet, “68 Kill,” an eerie anthem about reclaiming power and conquering trauma. The new single is now available on all streaming platforms and is the first song released in Twisted Frames, a series of singles inspired by Matthew Gray Gubler’s iconic, cult-followed horror films. “68 Kill” reflects a woman who has faced dark moments and is now fighting back. Staytus sings about how she is no longer a victim and is taking back her power. Working alongside renowned producer Matt McJunkins of A Perfect Circle at Secret Hand Studios in Los Angeles, Staytus created an intense sound that matches her lyrics. “Working with Matt was an incredible experience,” says Staytus. “Matt brought so much depth to the production with his bass and synth work, creating a sonic landscape that perfectly matched the intensity of the song. His talent and energy really pushed me to elevate my own creativity and singing.” Staytus vulnerably shares her experiences with abuse using her bone-chilling lyrics, singing, “Bloody nose, black eye, you make me wanna die. Your manipulation was a form of masturbation. Call me spineless, call me useless, it doesn’t change the fact you do this.” The upcoming music video and cover art for Staytus’s “68 Kill” is shot by distinguished photographer and There Is No Us frontman Jim Louvau. Jane N' The Jungle Escapes The 'Wasteland' Jane N’ The Jungle, a modern rock band hailing from Phoenix, Arizona, has released their latest single "Wasteland", following the success of their previous release "Raw as a Jewel" with Cleopatra Records last year. Jane N’ The Jungle's sound is a blend of alternative rock, metal, and punk. The single, produced by Chuck Alkazian at Pearl Sound Studios, will be featured in their upcoming EP alongside a music video and photography by Jim Louvau. Jane N’ The Jungle's "Wasteland" is a powerful testament to the band's ability to create music that resonates with their audience and speaks to the struggles of everyday life. With their unique sound and uncompromising attitude, they are sure to make their mark on the modern rock scene. This is what Jane N' The Jungle had to say about their latest release: “Wasteland” is like the pit in your stomach you get when you know something is wrong and instead of leaving the situation you stay and it gets worse, and it becomes all you know.” - Jordan White "Wasteland" delves into the theme of toxic relationships that leave you feeling trapped with no way out. The instrumentation of the song is filled with rage and passion, while the vocals explode with tension, demanding attention from listeners. This band is definitely one to watch, as they are making a name for themselves in the music industry and gaining a large following. With their unique sound and impressive live performances, they are sure to continue to rise in popularity. Their recent show at the Troubadour was a huge success, selling out in no time. They have also shared the stage with some big names in the music industry, such as Escape The Fate, Saving Abel, Sammy Hagar & The Circle, and The Warning. The band has an upcoming release show at the Viper Room, and they are expected to announce tour dates soon.
