I wrote this the other night during a power outage all at once. I was initially singing it as myself, until I realized it would sound a lot cooler if Janis Joplin sang it...(it's also dying for a harmonica line)...anyway here's my impression with a phone recording on this Labor Day morning 🎵 Looking forward to sharing Songs for Stargazers on September 20!!

Anthony Kiedis (born November 2, 1962) has fronted since it was founded in 1983. In high school, he formed the band with bandmates Flea and Hillel Slovak under Tony Flow and the Masters of Mayhem. He has recorded eleven studio albums with the Red Hot Chilli Peppers. There was a time when he played the guitar and sang lead vocals; he would later focus on lead vocals. Kiedis' songs are kinda" groove-like" or even" rapping" over his lyrics about the culture of living in L.A. and dealing with personal matters such as his addiction, but he has been drug-free for 20 years. He does write about having fun and making the best out of life. In 2012, he and the rest of Red Hot Chilli Peppers were inducted into The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Kiedis appeared in several films, including Point Break, as one of those surfer guys who tried to beat up Utah. When he was a kid, he appeared on television shows. Kiedis is one of the best lead singers in rock music. his charismatic energy keeps one of the things that RCP is going on and on.
