NHK Trophy, Friday and Saturday practice (according to articles): 6/11 the morning before SP, 14/17 before FP.

In an interview before the start of the GP (NHK press conference) Rika stated that, when healthy, her 3A has a 70% rate of success in practice (s).

Sidenote:

season 2016-2017: Rika landed only 3 3A in competition (although it should be mentioned she was injured at both Jnats and JGPF): 3A at Kinki Regional and JGP Ljubljana and 3A3T2T at a local competition.

season: 2017-2018: 3A (Asian Open), 3A fall (JGP Riga), 3A step out (JGP Egna), 3A3T 3A (Western sectional), 3A3T2T 3A (JNats), 3A3T 1A (JGPF), 3A 3A3T 3A (Senior National), 1A 1A (JWC). Rate of success in competition 10/14

Rika started landing 3A in 2015 

3A in July 2016

First 3A landed in an ISU competition: JGP Ljubljana 2016 (first clean 8 triples FS for a lady skater).

Loved this pair from first sight and I never imagined they could beat Boikova/Kozloskii and Alexandrovskaya/Windsor at their first JGP...but they did! I try not to follow junior pairs too much since very few of them make it, but I’ll try just to enjoy them for the time being and keep my expectations low.
