Some good examples of how Western media downplays attacks ON Israel:
In the opening minute of this NYT podcast, the NYT describes the ~180 bus-sized ballistic missiles launched at Israel by Iran as "...the largest missile attack on Israeli territory in the country's history."
Remove the bias, and it would instead acurrately be described as "the largest ballistic missile attack ever launched."
youtube
See the difference? Note how it changes the story?
PBS does the same thing:
Source
No, PBS. This was the largest missile attack ever launched, by any nation, against any nation.
I subscribe to the NYT. I'm a PBS member. This is profoundly disappointing, but no longer surprising.

I've definitely posted this exact thought before but I can't find it, so - it's just an overwhelming and absolute world-historic W for liberalism that even the trads and revivalists conceive of 'culture' as meaning holidays and cuisines and maybe language or religion, and not legal codes or political organization or modes of sustenance or-
#actual cultural revivalism will look like idk the amish or the ultra-orthodox jewish communities in new york minimum#which isn't an endorsement - syncretism is cool and fun and good#but like c'mon#I am waiting impatiently for all that is solid to start dissolving into air

I was at a concert last night (For the opener PUP who was amazing and y’all should check it out)
the main act was an antizionist Jew Jeff rosenstock and I had to leave because the crowd immediately felt unsafe. I felt a physical shift in my body and had to run. His fans started looking at me and I saw hate there. I went from partying to crying at home. Every concert I have been at in Brooklyn has had a moment like this for me.
Hisses and boos at one show that mentioned empathy for both Israelis and Palestinians (the Walkman were great and clearly freaked out by how angry the crowd was at that sentiment.) it was in October 2023.
Waxihatchee show where the gay guy next to me who worked for the New York Times was saying to his date how awful and blood thirsty Jews are and how they control the media/his paper and gave me this evil smile because he could see I was Jewish and wanted to start a fight.
You have to understand how visceral and primal the Jew hatred is in New York leftist culture is. My Jewish family has lived in New York for five generations if not more. It’s so much more bigoted than any place I’ve visited in the last two years. I’ve been researching where to move for months. I’m not religious but walking around at night I look too Jewish to be here.

Katz's Deli, 183 Ludlow St. (at Houston), June 1, 1932. Founded in 1888, it is famous for its pastrami on rye sandwich. When the Yiddish Theater was in its heyday, Katz's was a popular hangout for the actors.
