6 Reasons Why You Should Switch to Jeunesse Anion
Menstruation is a fundamental function of our reproductive system. A reproductive system that is well taken care of leads to a fit sexual and reproductive condition. It keeps us away from diseases such as reproductive and urinary tract infections and bacterial vaginosis. Menstrual health practices that contribute to infections include poor personal hygiene and the use of a low-quality sanitary pad. Jeunesse Anion makes a variety of anion pads available for any situation, whether night or day, light or heavy, for a hassle-free monthly period. Here are a some reasons why you should pick Jeunesse Anion Pads:
Extra Boost of Softness – Jeunesse Anion Pads aremade of super soft virgin pulp and non-recycled cotton material that guarantee an extra boost of softness. It is free from the plastictop thatmakes chafe and rashes into nonexistence. It is also dirt-free and sterilized which is a huge plus!
Non-Toxic – It is free from synthetic materials rayon and polyester, as well as potent chemicals such as fragrances, chloromethane, chloroethane, chloroform, acetone, and toxic industrial adhesives. While perfume might smell nice, they are more dangerous than you think. We don’t want any of them near our privates.
Breathable – Plastic suffocates your pad. Jeunesse cares about your health by creating a pad that can breathe. You know well that bacteria multiply more rapidly in an environment that has less oxygen. Jeunesse padsallow maximum airflow that takes away that icky, wet feeling. Air permeability eliminatesunpleasant odor too.
Thin but Highly Absorbent – It turns liquid into gel to ensure that no leakage and stains occur even at full capacity. This brand simply does not disappoint because for Jeunesse, thin means superior liquid retention anytime of the day.
Built-in with Anion Strip – Its special anion chip releases negative ions once it contacts with moisture. This negative ions’ interaction with bacteria and fungi, whose job is to release the pungent smell and cause rashes, effectively weakens and destroys them. Stinky odor will never be an issue for you because anion is a natural deodorizer. Negative ions also attach themselves to bacteria in large numbers, making it too heavy to be transported by air.
Resealable Packaging – Its packaging is one of its kind. It is made of resealable aluminum foil for double protection from contamination. And added to that, it is resealable.
Jeunesse is a brand that cares about our menstrual health not only during the time of the month, but for the long haul. It is available in five variants – ultra‐day pad, day pad non-wing, ultra-night pad, all-night, and panty liner. Each packed as a canvass of comfort and freshness for a hassle-free monthly period. Positively Better with Jeunesse Anion 💖
Last week, I had the pleasure of attending Jeunesse Anion's #MillennialFair event! It was an enriching day, to hear the life hacks and tips from OB-GYN Faith Suluen MD, health coach Camille Romero, and beauty expert Nicole Romero! I felt so invigorated and inspired to follow their advices, that I wanted to share them with you guys as well! 💖
The theme was "#Athleisure", and ya girl went with a "Tellie-fied" version of it! 😉 AKA a splash of some girly attitude and pastel colors ✨ HAHA Athleisure, a word play on athletics and leisure, for me is an outfit you'd wear after working out, (you could pop some heels on to instantly make it look effortless!) or simply, on days when you're feeling sporty and feelin' yourself!
The program started with Dr. Faith Suluen, an OB-GYN. Naturally, we women have it tougher every month because of our monthly periods. But thankfully, we have Jeunesse Anion to help us be confident in whatever we're doing, in whatever we're wearing! Dr. Faith also talked about proper hygiene and answered some questions about our reproductive health. Women should start going to the OB-GYN more often when they hit 25, and get annual pap smears, or even earlier when they become sexually active, whichever comes first. Be mindful of the changes in your body. A week before and after your period, do a self breast examination. Exercise more often and eat more fruits and veggies, and drink lots of water! You'll feel much happier when you get your period. Also, don't get a wax a few days before, during and after your period! Those are the days when you'll feel the most sensitive.
The next speaker, was health coach (and yoga instructor!) Camille Romero. Like what Dra said, having a healthy routine, which includes proper exercise and a good balanced diet, is key to having a happy mind and body. It's true what Elle Woods said in Legally Blonde, that exercising releases happy hormones called "endorphins". Your cycle will become more in sync once you have a healthier body as well!
In Camille's sesh, she also demonstrated some healthy recipes that everyone can prepare because they're so quick and easy to do. Basically, one of the secret instruments for making a healthy snack is a blender. HAHA! You can blend up all sorts of fruits and veggies and make sauces, juices, smoothies and soups! There are loads of recipes on the internet! 😉
Photo above was actually from the healthy buffet we were served! Fresh pasta, salad bar and szechuan chicken were my faves! Thanks Marriott Hotel Manila
And last but certainly not the least, a quick crash course of basic beauty secrets from Nicole Romero. Go to sleep early, around 9pm (??! I know that's so hard! HUHU), get like 8 hours of sleep, turn off any electronic device at least an hour before sleeping, because there's something in the blue light of our cellphones that triggers our mind to stay awake. Do your skin care routine RELIGIOUSLY. If there's anything I took from her sesh, it was how diligently she does her skin care routine! Bes, kahit gaano ka kapagod, you have to wash your make up off and take care of your face! Your future self will definitely thank you for this! Take a breather (literally! she taught us how to just take 10 seconds off our time and take deep breaths to calm ourselves), pamper yourselves every now and then. A good massage can take away the stress. Also, a quick trick she taught us about relieving eyebags is, applying cold spoons onto them! You pop the spoons inside the fridge or freezer the night before, then in the morning you can press them onto your eyebags to lessen the puffiness!
Fam, she's so pretty! Legit, definition of #SkinGoalz
Lastly, after all the talks, Jeunesse Anion debuted their brand ambassadors, the Patrimonio sisters. The perfect duo to testify how comfy and reliable the Jeunesse Anion pads are, being sporty sisters who are always working out and having tennis competitions!
Unfortunately, only Christine Patrimonio was able to attend because Anna Clarice had to accept an award from the president.
To top it all off, we got to bring home all of these goodies that are perf for having a well-rounded healthy lifestyle!
Of course, all sorts of Jeunesse Anion pads for our monthly needs. 💖

What's Your Mood?
Your period cycle always affects your feelings. This Women’s Wellness Month, let Jeunesse Anion Sanitary Napkins and Liner help you through sluggish days, sticky situations, and avoiding emotional conflicts.
When a woman is unreasonable, it’s easily tagged as “that time of the month”. It can often be unfair, especially because there is more to this than what the men in our lives like to assume.
Our period cycles span almost an entire month and every few days, something changes in our body. Hormone levels can change dramatically, depending on where we are in our cycle. That’s why there are days when we feel like we can do anything and days when we just want to stay home with a bag of chips and Netflix.
Here’s a short break down of what happens during a woman’s period cycle:
· Days 1-2: The first day of your cycle is the first day of your period. Tissue and blood lining your uterus is the blood otherwise known as your period. Estrogen is low and women often experience fatigue and cramps. You might not feel like it but these days would be good days to exercise. Your mood might not be so great and your energy level is low.
The Beginning
· Days 3-5: Estrogen begins to increase towards the end of your period. This hormone helps boost endorphins or your brain’s “feel good” chemicals. The same one that is released during exercise. Your energy also rises along with the rise in estrogen and ultimately this is you feel more upbeat at this time.
On Top of the World
Feel Good
· Days 6-9: With your estrogen up, you are sure to feel more beautiful and energetic. And it’s no wonder because your skin is glowing and your face looks more symmetrical. Testosterone also rises during this time and you are most likely to feel unstoppable and on top of your game.
Bringing Sexy Back
· Days 10-13: You are now approaching your ovulation which means you are feeling sexiest. You are most fertile during these days and women who want to become pregnant have the best chances of conception when they try at this window until ovulation day. Your orgasms are more intense and are attainable during sex. Estrogen levels are at the highest and women feel best emotionally and physically.
Hello, Ovulation
· Day 14: For most period cycles, ovulation happens on this day. Ovulation is when an egg is released from the ovary. This egg lives for 12 to 24 hours. There is also a sudden hormone change during ovulation, which may intensify your emotions and tiredness.
Watch What You Eat
· Days 19-22: Estrogen level begins to drop while testosterone surges if you are not pregnant. Your skin might be producing more oil than usual. This means you might be experiencing breakouts or sensitive skin. This is a good time for you to eat healthy.
· Day 23-28: If you are not pregnant, your estrogen and progesterone levels continue to drop. You may begin to experience bloating and sluggishness. The quick change in your hormones is also responsible for your quick changes in mood. This is a good time for you to boost your serotonin levels through exercise and to cope with breast soreness. You should also reduce your intake of sugar, make sure to stay hydrated, and reduce your caffeine intake.
An unfertilized egg will soon leave your body together with the uterine lining that your body created in preparation for possible pregnancy. Once your period begins, you go back to Day 1 in the period cycle.
Jeunesse Anion pads help with the cramping and dysmenorrhea through the anions released by the strip. These anions “bind to the positively charged ions (of the body) which restricts the movement through the ion channel,” says the research result of Yasmin Endañol, UP Diliman Institute of Chemistry. “If there are no ions available for movement, the channels will remain closed, and signals will not be transmitted. Thus, pain felt by the user during dysmenorrhea is lessened to a minimum.”
Ending the Cycle

Jeunesse Anion Helps Fight Common Infections of the Lower Genital Tract
When it comes to reproductive health, many of us are guilty of not giving it the proper TLC. While we all know that it’s one of the aspects we should never neglect, most women tend to forget the importance of a regular checkup, proper hygiene, and the right products that won’t disturb the vagina’s microbial balance. When this happens, not only will it cause pain and discomfort down there, it can also pose greater problems in the long run. So what can we do to improve our feminine health and hygiene?
Jeunesse consulted an Obstetrician-Gynecologist, Dr. Bernadette Ong-Sumo, to find out the five common vulvovaginal infections and how to avoid them. The first is Candidiasis which is commonly known as vaginal yeast infection. Candidiasis affects 3 out of 4 women at least once in their lifetime. This happens when a change in the natural microflora of the body affects the number of good bacteria leading to the overgrowth of a type of fungus called Candida which is normally found inside the human gut, throat, mouth, and even vagina. Symptoms include vaginal itching or soreness (burning sensation), pain during sexual intercourse or urinating, and changes in normal vaginal discharge described as curd-like or cottage cheese-type. According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, women who are pregnant, using contraceptives, have diabetes, impaired immune system, or even those who are taking broad-spectrum antibiotics are much more likely to develop Candidiasis. Wearing cotton underwear and non-tight-fitting clothes might help reduce the chances of getting a yeast infection. Because taking antibiotics can lead to vaginal candidiasis, take these medicines only when prescribed and exactly as your physician tells you. Often times, a vaginal yeast infection will clear up on its own, but over the counter, anti-fungal creams or tablets are available for treatment. “For those who choose self-treatment, please see a Gynecologist if symptoms persisted”, advised by Dr. Ong-Sumo.
The second is Vaginosis, which much like Candidiasis, is a type of vaginal inflammation caused by an upset vaginal balance, from lactobacilli-dominant to mixed flora. If you’re noticing a thin, frothy, gray-white vaginal discharge and a foul-smelling vaginal odor described as “musty” or “fishy”, make sure to get checked by your Gynecologist. Sometimes, women with this infection may experience vaginal itching or burning sensation when urinating. Although it is more common among women in their reproductive years, a couple of factors are known to increase the risk of developing this infection such as smoking, multiple sexual partners, and douching or the practice of washing out the vagina with a mixture of water and vinegar or baking soda. “Frequent douching for hygiene is unnecessary as the vagina does an excellent job of keeping the PH balanced and of cleansing itself,” revealed by Dr. Ong-Sumo.
Th third is Urinary Tract Infection (UTI). Women’s risk of acquiring at least one incidence of UTI during their lifetime is 50%. UTI is caused by bacteria entering through the urethra and invading the bladder and kidneys. Because women have a shorter urethra than males, bacteria can easily travel to the bladder thus they are known to develop a greater risk of acquiring this infection. And anyone who had this before knows that it can feel like the worst thing in the whole world: a burning sensation when urinating, strong-smelling urine, urine that appears to be cloudy or red, and pelvic pain that may linger around the center of the pelvis or around the pubic bone. Moreover, sexual activity, the use of diaphragms for birth control measure, and menopause are some of the other risk factors associated with UTI. Drinking a ton of water helps to dilute the urine and will flush away bacteria even before the infection begins. Additionally, as a part of keeping down there “dry and happy”, wipe from front to back after urinating or defecating. This way, bacteria from the feces or anus will not spread towards the vagina and urethra. Additionally, emptying the bladder after intercourse is also a must so you don’t introduce more bacteria.
The fourth common infection is called Folliculitis. According to Dr. Ong-Sumo, “This is becoming more common nowadays as a lot of women in this day and age are into extensive pubic hair removal, whether waxing or shaving”. Hair removal causes minute skin injuries, with inoculation of pathogens and subsequent spread of infection. Folliculitis happens when bacteria, normally present in the skin or vagina, get inside a cut or opening. It exhibits itself as groups of red bumps with white heads and pus or oozing blisters. “These women just need to be informed of the risks and of the safe methods and best practices for hair removal”, added by Dr. Ong-Sumo. If shaving cannot at all be prevented, do so every other day with warm water, a shaving cream, and new razors, while making sure to apply moisturizing lotion afterward. Wearing breathable clothes, using clean towels, and avoiding sharing personal items are other precautionary steps we can take to prevent this infection from invading our personal space. It’s best to wash the infected area with warm water and antibacterial soap. Dry thoroughly with a fresh towel and apply antibiotic creams or gels. Women who fail to respond to topical antibiotics should consult with a physician.
Lastly, the fifth common vulvovaginal infection is Bartholin’s Gland Abscess. A Bartholin’s abscess is caused by a fluid buildup in the Bartholin gland (responsible for secreting fluids to lubricate the vestibule and vagina) due to an obstruction caused by infection or injury. The pus often shows polymicrobial infection and contain a wide range of bacteria homogeneous to the normal flora of the vagina. Symptoms include acute vulvar pain, pain during intercourse, difficulty in walking or sitting and sometimes, fever. Safer sex practices and good hygiene habits may help to prevent infection of a cyst and the formation of an abscess.
The good news is that these five-common infection-related reproductive diseases are completely avoidable and treatable. Dr. Ong-Sumo’s final recommendation is to consistently practice good personal hygiene from wearing a cotton underwear for better absorption of moisture and perspiration, keeping yourself dry and clean, avoiding scented feminine wash, pads or tampons, to tight-fitting pants and jeans, will reduce the risk of developing these infections. And according to the words of our discerning doctor, “Making yogurt with live cultures a regular part of your diet might help to restore a healthful yeast balance in the vagina.” On top of these best practices, opt for an unscented and 100% sterilized virgin cotton material for your sanitary pad like Jeunesse Anion. In a laboratory test conducted by the Institute of Chemistry, UP Diliman, it validates that Jeunesse Anion pad’s specifically modified cellulose-based hydrogels are not only super-absorbent, hypoallergenic, and non-toxic, but also exhibits anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, and odor-reducing benefits! The positive ions embedded in the material attracts the negatively charged bacterial cells, which dramatically results to cell death thus declining bacterial population by 99.9%. However, remember that a regular visit to your OB-Gyn will ensure your reproductive health is in tip-top shape!
Jeunesse Anion also offers ultra day non-wing, ultra day pad, ultra night pad, all-night pad, and panty liner to help every woman to go through their period with ease and comfort.
