Jethica (2022, USA)
Director: Pete Ohs
Writers: Andy Faulkner, Callie Hernandez, Will Madden, Pete Ohs & Ashley Denise Robinson
Mini-review:
This was... something, and I'm not sure if I liked it or not. It definitely presents an interesting and original premise, but I feel like it's not executed as well as it should for it to properly work. The movie is already very short (just 70 minutes long), and yet I think it would have worked better as short film. One thing I did love is the absolutely stunning cinematography, which makes perfect use of the gorgeous locations where this was filmed. Anyway, it's honestly kinda sad, cause I can tell there's a lot of potential in this set up, but it feels like the movie's team didn't really know what to do with it (or didn't have the means and resources to do more).

Jethica movie review & film summary (2023)
“Jethica”’s ghosts are lonelier than its living humans overall, mostly because they’re only able to touch each other. (Their hands pass through the living, like in “Ghost.”) Other than that, there’s not much difference between the living and the dead in this film. Both are hanging around, purposeless, haunted by the past, and paralyzed by the future. And the film’s quirky, sardonic approach to…
