The Night Love Was Born
Tumblr media
Oh, holy night, when the stars leaned in close,
And heaven kissed the earth with gentle grace.
In the quiet town of Bethlehem,
Love itself was born—a tiny child,
Wrapped not in riches but in purest humility.
The world stood still, its breath held soft,
As angels burst forth in a glorious song:
“Glory to God in the highest!” they cried,
“Peace on earth, goodwill to men!”
A stable, simple and lowly, became a throne,
Where the King of all creation lay cradled.
Not in splendor, but in tenderness, He came—
A gift for the weary, the broken, the lost.
The shepherds, startled by heaven’s glow,
Hurried with hearts ablaze to see the child.
Their eyes, wide with wonder, met the gaze of Emmanuel—
God with us—His presence like the dawn of hope.
And Mary, His mother, pondered in her heart,
The mystery of this child, her holy Son,
The one who would mend what was broken,
And lead a world back into the arms of Love.
On this sacred day, the universe rejoices,
For the Savior has come, not with might,
But as a whisper of mercy and a promise of peace.
“For unto us a child is born,
Unto us a Son is given” (Isaiah 9:6).
Christmas is the story of a love so deep,
It crossed eternity to meet us here.
So let every heart prepare Him room,
And let the beauty of His birth fill the world with joy.

Today, we celebrate the most beautiful gift of all: the birth of Jesus Christ, our Savior. His coming reminds us that we are deeply loved, no matter where we are or what we carry in our hearts.
Let this day fill you with hope, joy, and peace. May the light of Christ’s love warm your soul and inspire you to share kindness with those around you. Remember, His humble birth brought heaven to earth so that we might always know His love.
Merry Christmas! May your heart be His manger, and may His peace remain with you always.

oh so you thought existing only to perform a soulless office job was bad. how about existing only to go to the dentist. how about existing only in planes. how about existing only to perform stupid and repetitive yet socially expected tasks. how about existing only to withstand every unpleasant thing that somebody else decided to go without

“When the song of the angels is stilled, when the star in the sky is gone, when the kings and princes are home, when the shepherds are back with their flocks, the work of Christmas begins: to find the lost, to heal the broken, to feed the hungry, to release the prisoner, to rebuild the nations, to bring peace among the people, to make music in the heart.”—Howard Thurman, theologian and civil rights activist The Christmas story of a baby born in a manger is a familiar one. The Roman Empire, a police state in its own right, had ordered … Continue reading →

Then the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God.
Behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you will name him Jesus.

What the Nativity Event Teaches Us (Luke 2:1-20)
By Donald Whitchard Genesis 3:15, Numbers 24:17, Isaiah 7:14, Isaiah 9:6-7, Matthew 1:18-25, Luke 2:1-20   Summary: The birth of the Lord Jesus Christ is the centerpiece of civilization.  It is also an illustration about the promises of God, our obedience of God, the accessibility to God, and the tragedy of rejecting God.   “AND it came to pass in those days that a decree went out from Caesar…

#8 Supporting Evidence that Jesus was Born at Passover
There are two lines of evidence to support the view that Jesus was born just before Passover in the month of April: “There was no room at the inn.”  Jerusalem and Bethlehem nearby would have been very busy between the 13th and 27th April 5 BC as all adult Jewish males were required to celebrate Passover at the Temple. Jewish families went to Jerusalem before the festival to prepare for it. …

Merry Christmas, God Bless Us, Everyone
Good morning, Merry Christmas to one and all. The day long anticipated has arrived. While I realize there are many different things celebrated and recognized at this time, such as Hanukkah, this my writing is about Christmas and the birth of a babe, a Savior.  In the midst of the activities of the day, may we not forget this reason. May the festivities of the day not overshadow the true…
