Jesselton has to be a model prisoner and not cause trouble if he wants his employers to keep his contract and bail him out, so throughout his After Story he gets repeatedly clowned on and can't do a thing about it bc his Evil Corporate Sugar Daddys told him he has to play nice. He gets belittled, forced to clean the toilets without a brush, gets ganged up on by the entire prison yard (they couldn't actually hurt him but still), and then gets poo water dumped on him while the prisoners AND THE GUARDS laugh in his face. It's delicious.

But oh wait, Jesselton has also been getting friendly with a new inmate Rick, going out of his way to do him favors with no reward all to gain his trust. And when he feels he has enough of said trust he forges a letter in Rick's wife's handwriting saying she's leaving him for an older man and starts to engage in the same gaslight gatekeep manipulate mansplain routine he used on Robin, and tries to convince Rick that the only things that matter in life are money and power. And just when it seems ol' Jessy has gotten his claws in him, right as he's about to get his rocks off from roleplaying as Palpable turning Anakin to the Dark Side-

A guard comes over and tells Rick he's free to go because his wife paid his bail. And as Jesselton is left blue-balled, sitting there with his dick in his hands and holding yet another Massive L, the guard explained they actually postponed the bail SPECIFICALLY so Jesselton would spend all that time building up trust with Rick for nothing. Because they like seeing him get fucked over just as much as I do.

It's a work of art.

Man I love this scene especially the implication. So... Reggie? Reggie meets Saria's standards, hell, he is even commanding the other Defense units and they use shields as well!

Then there's Jesselton who got rejected by Saria when he applied to her division, experienced assassin can coat himself in iron and make constructs out of it but fcking Reggie passes. LOL Jesselton RIP Bozo Rest In Prison get dunked on Reggie no difs.

I personally don't think we should get a Saria alter, or if we do, it'll be a "bad ending" version of her (quite like Skadi alter)

It's said in her files in game that the fact she became a Defender surprised a lot, and that she would become absolutely destructive if she decided to simply just throw hands. While it's true, it would be forgetting her goal; to protect.

She says herself that she thrives to be a symbol of strength and stand up for those she cares about. Being a Defender, and a medic one, means that she's particularly cautious, that she doesn't let her impulsive nature take the most of her, and that she can heal herself and those around her. Simply put, in the worst cases, she would likely be the last one standing.

It's pretty much a reflect to her personality, she's very smart, and strategic, she remains calm in all the situations and always think before acting.

Saria abandoning her shield would mean that she lost her cold blood, that she doesn't think anymore of the consequences and rush into action. She would be absolutely destructive, she would be terrifying, akin to an unchained monster. She won't be a symbol of strength anymore, not someone who can protect you and with who you would feel safe around; she would become simply terrifying, even for her teammates.

So yeah, tl;dr, a Saria alter who gives up her shield would be a Saria who forgot who she is and her goal, she would have become astray.

Okay after quickly reading the Rhine Lab Manhua I'm absolutely convinced that we need a Saria Alter at some point where she ditches the shield and just uses her fists

Maybe even make her a Musha operator, I'd love to see her sheer tenacity represented somehow
