Week 13 wraps up with Browns @ Broncos on Monday Night Football
Browns QB Jameis Winston had a career-high day, throwing for 497 yards and four touchdowns, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Broncos who came away with the 41-32 win. Broncos CB Ja’Quan McMillian helped seal the win when he returned an interception 44 yards for a touchdown with under 2 minutes remaining.

Browns quarterback Jameis Winston threw for 497 yards and 4 touchdowns, but unfortunately, in Browns fashion, they didn't win.
The Denver Broncos defeated the Cleveland Browns in a shootout, 32-41. Winston threw four touchdowns and three interceptions, two of which were returned for touchdowns, helping Denver secure their victory.
The first interception return for a touchdown happened with 98 seconds left in the first half. Linebacker Nik Bonitto picked off Winston and returned it 71 yards to the endzone. Winston did manage to get Cleveland back down the field before time expired in the first half, making the score 21-17 with Deveer leading.
The last interception return for a touchdown was led by Ja'Quan McMullin, who took it to the house 64 yards, extending the Bronco's lead 41-32. Cody Barton sealed the deal, picking off Winston in the endzone with 44 seconds left of regulation.
Winston had a night, completing 34 of his 58 passes, setting a new record for the Cleveland Browns for most passing yards in a single game with 497 yards.
Jerry Juedy, who was traded from the Denver Broncos in March, had a career night, catching 9 passes for 235 yards and a critical 70-yard touchdown pass in the 3rd quarter.
David Njoku also had 9 catches for 52 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Despite scoring twice on the defense, the Broncos also had help from their offense; rookie quarterback Bo Nix completed 18 of his 35 passes for 294 yards, two interceptions, and a historic 93-yard touchdown pass to Marvin Mims in the 3rd quarter, which is a franchise record for the longest touchdown reception,
Mimss finished with 105 receiving yards, while Cortland Sutton finished with 103 receiving yards.
While the Broncos remain in the Wild card at 8-5, they head off to the bye week on a three-game winning streak. Meanwhile, the Cleveland Browns head to Pittsburgh at 3-10 to play Russell Wilson and the Steelers. While there is no playoff in sight, the Browns do have an opportunity to sweep the Steelers, which Cleveland hasn't done since 1988.

NFL Week 18
Week 18 brought much excitement to the fan meticulously watching to see where their teams would seed for the playoffs. Although the Detroit Lions could not get into the playoffs because the Seattle Seahawks beat the Los Angeles Rams earlier in the day. It brought great joy to my eyes to see the Packers lose. I was also disappointed to not see Calvin Johnson’s record broke this season. And even with the addition of a 17th game, what Johnson did was really impressive considering he achieved the milestone in 16 games. By next week I will have chosen this years wideout of the year award. And with the way Davante Adams finished his season it’ll be a close race to select who I feel is the NFL’s top wideout.
Not too many wideouts scored touchdowns this weekend. Three out of seven that I’m about to talk about scored 4 touchdowns combined. The wideout of the week is non other than Jerry Jeudy of the Denver Broncos. It appears that head coach Nathaniel Hackett was the problem. Russell Wilson has looked like a different quarterback since the Broncos fired the coach. It’s also exciting to see Jeudy healthy. The kid is extremely explosive. He caught 5 balls for 154 yards with no tinkers. I loved how he jogged off the ball luring the db to sleep and then sped past him for a 50 yard gain that was actually under thrown. Jeudy’s last catch was a speed dig where he caught the ball and exploded between a few defenders for another 15 yards. I look forward to Jeudy having the best season of his career next year.
Drake London will have a promising career. London finished the season 134 yards away from 1,000. Throughout the season he made some big plays. I believe he made my blog 2-3 times this yeas which is not bad for a rookie. London finished his afternoon with 6 catches for 120 yards with zero scores. Utilizing his big frame, London was able to do most of his damage across the middle on over and post routes. He was able to beat a defender on a nice go route to finish with a pretty good night at the office.
K.J. Osborn is a nice number 3 wideout to have. His speed is definitely his strong point and with the attention Jefferson demands, the respect that Adam Thielen has, leaves Osborn with opportunities to ball as he did and making his way to the blog for a 2nd time. Osborn caught 5 passes for 117 yards but did not score. His big play came on a fake screen to Thielen, where Osborn faked a block and caught a 40 yard gain up the right sideline. He caught a couple of out patterns to finish the game. I have the 49ers as my team going to the Super Bowl but I hope lady luck sticks in the Vikings corner because their defense has needed help all year.
Brandin Cooks had his first 100 yard game of the season. Cooks caught 5 balls for 106 yards with 1 touchdown on skinny post. Stefon “Im Him” Diggs finally got back to his old ways after going 6 games without eclipsing 100 yards. Diggs caught 7 passes for 104 yards with a touchdown on a streak-route. Christian Watson amounted the same amount of yards as Diggs. Watson tallied his 104 yards on just 5 catches including an unbelievable diving 1-hand catch on a 50-yard bomb from Aaron Rodgers. And lastly is our guy Keenan Allen of the San Diego Chargers. Allen finished his regular season with 8 catches for 102 yards and scored twice. Allen is playing fast and appears to be healthy. With a healthy wideout core I could see the Chargers giving teams in the AFC a run for their money. Who knows they could end up upsetting the Chiefs or Bengals.
I’m proud of the way the wideouts on each team played this season. I looked forward to great plays being made throughout the playoffs. And may the best wideouts win.
This concludes my first full season blog. To keep it going I think I’m going to post videos or pics and blog about how a wideout should train during the off season. I don’t know I’m just going to post what feels natural and see where it takes me. Wideouts Let’s Go!

Where will Brandon Aiyuk end up?
Tumblr media
Over the course of the past few days it sure seemed like the 49ers were going to send Brandon Aiyuk to greener pastures as there are tough decisions ahead for the team. It got as far as learning that the Patriots and Browns had frameworks for trades in place for the star wide receiver. The added element to this whole story is that the team trading for Aiyuk needs to give him a new contract, one worthy of top tier talent at the position. His contract and love for a certain head coach is where this story has gotten very interesting...
Here's where the involved teams seem to stand at this point in their pursuit of Brandon Aiyuk:
Pittsburgh Steelers - The latest team to join the fray have something going for them, Aiyuk wants to play there. Aiyuk respects Mike Tomlin, wants to play for him and as some have pointed out looks a little like coach Tomlin. The problem is, the Steelers don't necessarily have a trade package that the 49ers want. The Steelers will have to blow the 49ers away with picks as they only have Pickens to offer and never would.
Cleveland Browns - The Browns had a trade in place with the 49ers as reported just a couple of days ago. They have a wide receiver that seemingly the 49ers would want in Amari Cooper who is a very talented player, expendable with the addition of Jerry Jeudy in Cleveland. The problem is, they can't work out a deal with Aiyuk because he reportedly doesn't want to play there.
New England Patriots - The Patriots like the Browns had a trade in place with the 49ers, they have pursued Aiyuk before as well. The Patriots were willing to send Kendrick Bourne back in a trade package, Bourne would have returned to the team that drafted him. The problem is, Brandon Aiyuk doesn't want to play there despite the Patriots willing to pay him as a top 5 receiver in the game. The Patriots have reportedly moved on from Aiyuk.
The Conclusion, it sure seems like Brandon Aiyuk has pinned the 49ers into a corner where they have to make an interesting decision. They could take a potentially lesser deal from the Steelers just to get the distraction of the Aiyuk contract situation out of their building or find a way to get more out of the Steelers and make everyone happy...maybe. My conspiracy thought is that this whole thing was nothing but the Aiyuk camp trying to drive up the cost from the 49ers and he ends up with a new deal to stay with the 49ers, just saying.
Appreciate you checking out the blog, I can't wait for the NFL season to start, we are less than a month away.
