Heyyy girl, I have been thinking about the last chapter ever since it was uploaded and I am kinda confused, does tony tell jug that veronica was there when she heard or does she choose not to mention it at all? Also in the sequel will jug know about how betty treated veronica in the hospital? And will barchie still be talking to jug (I don't think they will be talking to veronica still) and will they know about the (hopefully inevitable) jeronica getting back together

So I had a whole scene written between Toni and Veronica that I ended up taking out because it felt like too much that I'll add beneath the cut, but basically Toni is caught between knowing something feels off about how Veronica left/the way the Ghoulies conveniently took credit for everything, and knowing Veronica has been a shitty person before and could very well have just left because she didn't care enough to stay. And I think her major goal is just getting Jughead to heal and move on, regardless of what happened. So she's definitely being guarded with what she's letting Jughead know - he knows Veronica came to the hospital the night it happened, but he doesn't know how badly she lost it, and she's also keeping the scene I've added below from him (if I decide to keep it as a headcanon lol) because she's torn over how real it was or wasn't.

Betty and Archie do end up forgiving Jughead, and sadly on Betty's half it's somewhat born out of feeling like Jughead was just another victim of Veronica like she was, which sucks. Archie probably would've forgiven him regardless. That said, their friendship is never quite the same and they definitely drift after senior year ends. I'm not actually sure if Jughead will know what Betty did at the hospital, but both Jughead and Veronica go back to Riverdale at one point for a book signing thing in the sequel and Archie and Betty are both there. Veronica and Betty will have a scene where that's confronted.

Here's the scene Toni/Veronica scene I ended up taking out, which would've come right after the hospital scene - let me know if it helps flesh Toni out a little more. I was just going for mystery! Leaving you guys as confused as Jughead 😂

The knock on the door came three days later.

Veronica glanced up from the box she was taping shut, squinting through the mess of hair that’d fallen loose from her bun. The movers weren’t supposed to be there for another few hours.

Besides, only a handful of people knew to use the back door, and of those handful, two hated her guts and one was in a coma.

Unless.

Her hands stilled.

“Yes?”

“It’s Toni,” came the muffled reply, and her shoulders loosened a little. “I tried the front door but it was locked and no one answered.”

She abandoned the tape dispenser and made her way over to the door, wincing at the blast of sun that hit her eyes as it opened.

“Hey,” Toni greeted with a cautious smile, stare flickering a little when it took in her appearance. Admittedly, a stringy bun and yoga pants wasn’t her typical aesthetic. “How are you?”

Veronica blinked at her.

She’d had rum for dinner three nights in a row.

Toni shook her head. “Stupid question—did you get my texts?”

“Oh,” Veronica said, pushing some of the hair out of her face, “I switched number a few days ago, so no, sorry.”

“Well, definitely give me the new one because there’s been a ton of upda…” she trailed off, frowning at something behind her.

Veronica followed her gaze to the boxes scattered in the foyer. She cleared her throat. “Sorry for the mess.”

“Are you moving in or something?” Toni asked, stare tracing over the sprawl of half-packed clothes and personal items.

“Moving out,” Veronica clarified, an upside to her tomber en disgrâce being that she couldn’t care less who knew she’d lived there anymore. “Been here since May, actually.”

Toni’s stare flicked back to hers. “What?”

“Yeah.” She turned away, plucking a discarded sweater off the floor. “Came with the whole disavowing my parents thing.”

Toni blinked. “I—” she shook her head briefly, “I mean, where are you going, then?”

“The city.”

She felt Toni’s eyes on her shoulders. “Like for good?”

She’d never thought about how strange that expression was before, ‘for good’. “I guess, yeah. The movers are going to be here in a few hours, though, so I should probably finish up packing.”

“When are you leaving?” Toni pressed, and Veronica’s jaw tightened a little.

“Tonight.”

Silence met her back.

She carefully folded the cashmere, ignoring the words hanging unsaid between them.

What about Jughead?

“He woke up, Veronica.”

Her hands froze around the sweater.

Her heart leapt into her throat, thunderous and pulsing.

“Sorry, I know I should’ve let with that, I just—” Toni lapsed into a laugh, hope flooding into her voice. “It was only for a second, but he nodded yes and no to some questions before drifting back out, so the doctors are feeling optimistic.”

Veronica stared hard at the fabric in her hands.

Her vision was hot and blurry.

“He woke up, girl!” Toni repeated, lapsing into another joyful laugh, and Veronica nodded stiffly, forcing her hands to resume folding.

“That’s great.”

She blinked rapidly to clear the tears from her eyes.

“It’s more than great, it’s incredible!” Toni laughed, though it petered a little when she noticed her enthusiasm wasn’t fully shared.

Veronica placed the sweater in a box and reached down for another one.

Started folding it into neat little squares.

“Are you,” Toni faltered a little, “I mean, you’re going to go see him, right?”

Veronica’s jaw flexed as she folded the sleeves across the chest.

She’d known this part was coming.

“I think it’s better if I don’t.” She reached over and dropped it into the box, topping it off. “I don’t want to give him the wrong impression.”

A stiff beat of silence followed. “And what impression is that?”

She drew in a steeling breath before turning around, pulling her face into a mask of indifference. “Jughead knew what we were, Toni. He knew I was going to New York. None of this is a surprise.”

Toni just stared at her, visibly thrown. “Think he probably assumed you’d wait for him to come out of a coma first.”

She forced a shrug. “That’s on him.”

She turned around and reached for the tape dispenser as Toni broke into a scoff. “Okay, what’s going on here, Veronica? Because I watched three security guards carry you out of the ICU while you were screaming your fucking lungs out to stay, so this whole ‘love ‘em and leave ‘em’ routine isn’t really landing.”

“It’s not a routine, Toni, it just is what it is.”

“Look, I may not have been able to make out the details of your screaming match with FP,” Toni pressed in a hard voice, “but I know something went down there—something you’re both not telling the rest of us.”

Veronica’s jaw tightened as she kept packing.

“And now three days later you’ve packed up your life and you’ve changed your number and no one can get a hold of you and it’s almost like—”

“Like what?” Veronica snapped a little, tensing under the line of questioning.

“Like you’re trying to disappear,” Toni steeled right back.

A stiff silence followed the accusation.

Veronica merely stared down at the box, fingers tight around the tape dispenser. Struggling to drum up the stomach for what she knew had to come next.

“What happened with FP, Veronica?”

She couldn’t leave loose ends. She couldn’t leave any thread of hope or misunderstanding that he could follow back to her, otherwise what was the point?

He’d follow you anywhere—New York, prison, his fucking grave—and you’d let him.

She loosened her jaw and shrugged on the skin of the absolute cunt she’d been in prep school.

“Toni, everything about this fetid menstrual stain of a town is miserable.” She eased around to face her with a cold expression. “I sleep in a diner. There is a sex tape of me getting fingered by a townie. I spent Christmas being questioned by the police about gangs that sound like reject Hogwarts houses, I mean,” she gave a hollow laugh, “this macabre comedy of errors was never supposed to be my life. And Jughead getting shot five minutes before picking me up? Pretty thunderous wakeup call that I could be next.”

Toni’s eyes flickered in naked appall at the selfishness of the comment. “Is that all it was?”

Veronica’s shoulders tipped up coolly. “I’m not dying here, girl. It was a fun social experiment while it lasted, but I’m done pretending I have anything in common with any of the frankly incestuous people that live here, or that my life was ever meant to be as small as theirs. So yeah, I’m going back to New York, and yeah, I don’t want anything about this mortifying stretch of time following me there, and yeah, that means my coup de grâce is essentially a disappearing act. That’s it.” She shrugged again, pointblank. “That’s why I’m leaving. FP and his latent syphilis have nothing to do with it.”

Toni eyed her for a long, silent stretch before turning wordlessly toward the door. She paused in the doorway, hand catching the frame. “This will crush him. You doing this. Regardless of the reason. You know that, right?”

It took her a second to look up at her.

Veronica stared back vacantly.

“He’s a big boy.” Her mouth took on a horrible slant. “Surprisingly big, actually.”

Toni’s face flooded in disgust. She took a final beat to take her in, as if searching for any last shred of her that was worth knowing, before shaking her head and shoving the door open. “Have a nice life, Veronica.”

“That’s the plan.”

The door swung shut behind her, and Veronica waited till the sound of her car pulling away had fully faded before slowly sliding down to the floor.

ok i’ve let this message sit in my inbox for a while because i’m so bad at making headcanons but here are a few.

- veronica would totally buy jughead any food (most likely hamburgers and fries possibly cupcakes) if they were to get in a fight. - their favorite date nights would be staying in and watching murder mysteries, thrillers, or any suspenseful and endearing movies/shows and then after they’d stay up all night analyzing characters and plotlines  🖤 - they both get chocolate milkshakes at pop’s. (yes i know this one is canon but i still love it so much) - they’re definitely that couple people watches (shamelessly) - veronica loves ruffling through jughead’s hair while they’re making out. - veronica will steal jughead’s sweatshirts whenever she can and he lets her. :) - jughead teases veronica about her height often because he finds it adorable how she gets all defensive - countless inside jokes (mostly regarding what they watch, and read) - they love studying together at the library - jughead has veronica’s coffee order memorized

I think veronica watches a lot of murder mystery/action/suspense shows because she needs something to distract her, and these shows usually help

although once in a while she’ll watch corny chick flicks and reality tv.

jughead is well, jughead. and being dollar store Phillip Marlowe, he also watches murder mysteries, crime shows, and documentaries.

when the two got together, movie nights became kind of a ritual

every Friday after school, they’d meet up at one of their houses, grab some blankets, some snacks, and pajamas.

(btw they have pajamas at each other's houses in case of spontaneous sleepovers)

anyway, some shows I feel like they’d watch are Criminal Minds, Breaking Bad, How to Get Away with Murder, etc. (bear with me I didn’t watch these shows)

they would watch hours of episodes (which is not healthy at all)

as interesting as these shows are, jughead can never soak in anything. he’s always concentrated on the food in front of him and how pretty veronica looks all concentrated and the way she leans on his shoulder and plays with his shirt.

someone catches him up one way or another.

veronica constantly says her thoughts out loud about everything that happens.

“it’s obviously her, I mean come on.”

which leads to silly debates and banter

· they go shopping for a costume together, jughead doesn't really like shopping but he will do anything to spend time with her

· veronica will go to the trailer on weekends and they'll watch scary movies, cuddle, cook, and put up decorations outside the trailer

· jughead loves how hard veronica concentrates on carving her pumpkin, she has her glasses on and her focus is 100% on the pumpkin

· they go to the haunted house and veronica holds on tight to him but not as tight as he is holding onto her.

· it also has a maze and they get lost. veronica blames jughead and he blames her so they decide to separate but end up bumping into each other every time they walk away. when they both apologize they finally find their way out of there

· on halloween they will hand out candy together to the little kids and veronica will be in awe of the kids costumes. until it's time to go to cheryl's halloween party

· veronica dresses up as an angel & jughead is the devil. she makes him pose for one photo because she knows that he doesn't like photos.

· they go back to the pembrooke and eat the leftover candy they have while watching a move til they fall asleep holding each other

- Everytime they fight, neither of them holds back. Whenever it happens, the people around them starts to feel a little unconfortable, scared that one of the two might get offended by the other and ruin the mood. However, J & V always look like they could just go on for hours and hours, always ending the fight without a real winner- Jug is the only one who can actually stand up to Veronica, and viceversa- But they always team up everytime someone else tries to jump in the discussion- Someone: “You’re right, Jug, Veronica is a total bitch”. Jug: “First of all, she’s not: she’s a strong young woman with strong opinions which should be respected. Second of all: you’re not even worth the tiniest nail of her body. And last but not least: shut the fuck up.”- V: “Jug, can I borrow your Serpent jacket?” Jug: “Wtf? You always complain about how uncivilized are we. You just told me ten minutes ago that this whole gang thing is ridiculous and toxic.” V: “…yeah but the jacket is cool. Can I borrow it?” Jug: “…” V: “…please?” Jug: “I honestly don’t even know what to say anymore.”- They often go together to the theatre to watch some old b/w movie that only the two of them really knows about. The first time Jug thought that she really meant it when she said that she didn’t want popcorns, and when she tried to steal them from him, they fought. The second time, he asked her a few more times if she wanted popcorns or not, she said she didn’t, then she stole ‘em from him, and they fought again. Now he just knows, so he always buys the biggest bag possible- V with a deep voice: “Uuuh, I’m Jughead Jones, I have a leather jacket and a motorbike. I’m the Serpent King and I’m too cool and edgy for everyone. Look at my hair, look at my tall-dark-handsome persona. I’m soooo smart and sassy, but also dangerous. You really should love me, but you also shouldn’t, cause if you did, I couldn’t complain anymore, and then I wouldn’t know what to do all the time. Also, I couldn’t be broody. So hate me, but if you do it, you suck and I’m misunderstood.”- Jug with a high pitched voice: “OH MY GAAAAAWD, why is everyone so mean to me? Is it because of my daddy? DID MY DADDY PAY YOU? Jeronica Headcanon #1 | The Hat

Juggie will only take off his hat in front of people he feels comfortable around and even then, he still much prefers not to be seen without it. But one thing he absolutely does not under any circumstances allow is for anyone to touch his hat but him. He’s very protective and defensive about it, to the point where everyone knows it’s off limits. Archie remembers this one time he tried it on in the first grade. It was the first fight they ever got into and Jug didn’t play with him at recess for a whole week. No one touches the hat.

Then he and Veronica get together.

Somewhere between the smirky smiles and the sweet voiced “Juggie-kins” Veronica becomes co-owner of the hat.

Sometimes she takes it off him (though she only does this if they’re somewhere she knows no one else will see, so he doesn’t feel vulnerable) adjusts his hair, then spends the next five minutes putting it back on and placing it just right.

They’re an openly affectionate couple for the most part, not to mention they’re both borderline obsessed with each other’s hair, so sometimes, whenever Juggie lays his head in her lap, Veronica will jump at the opportunity to rip the hat off chuck it in his lap and lazily wrap his curls around her manicured fingers.

The day the gang knows that it’s real between them the two walk into the rec room, Veronica wearing surprisingly casual clothes whilst complaining about her hair-

“I thought I could work with the whole ‘bad hair day’ look, but this is just ridiculous. I should’ve worn a hat.”

And without a word Juggie plucks his off and puts it on her, adjusting it for her, being sure to follow the rules she repeats to him every time she does it for him, points centered with buttons just above the brow, back tucked in, fixing her hair so it frames her face flatteringly. It’s not her typical style but she smiles and kisses him in thanks, finger-combing his now exposed curls while everyone watches in shock

the headcanons are kinda long so im adding a cut lmaoo

- following the canon of riverdale I think jabitha gets together first, but I do think jughead and veronica re-met in ny during the timeskip and became close friends over that time

- after tabitha asked for her help franchising pop's, veronica became really involved with diner and started becoming something of a volunteer manager there

- this led to the two of them becoming really close, and they start hanging out regularly outside of work

- it takes a while for the three of them to realize they're all into each but once they do it's veronica who suggests they give it a try

- she's super nervous about it but she's doing her best to hide it. I think tabitha can tell but she finds it sort of endearing, so she doesn't point it out

- the three of them have weekly movie nights at veronica's place, and tabitha and jughead bring takeout from pop's for them to share

- jughead and veronica were scared to tell archie about their relationship at first but once they did he was overly supportive to the point of it being shocking

- pop is also really happy for them. he loves veronica and jughead a lot and he thinks they're two of the best people tabitha could've started dating

- tabitha is the first to say "i love you" to either of them, them jughead, and lastly veronica, but there isn't much time between each confession

- veronica is big on them wearing matching or complimentary outfits to events, especially when she drags them to her fancy business galas and dinners

- tabitha is always kind for excited to attend these events. jughead hates it but he goes anyway and waits until afterwards to bitch

- they all end up moving into veronica's house and I think they'd end up with a couple of cats who they treat like their kids

- I think jughead and veronica aren't that good at expressing their feelings and at first they're a little uncomfortable having vulnerable conversations or showing physical affection, but they learn through each other (and tabitha) and end up really into pda

- veronica in particular loves holding hands

- sometimes veronica shows up at pop's just to tease them at work. she doesn't order anything, but they'll give her free fries anyway

Aromantic Veronica headcanons

Since people seemed to like my late night rambling I decided to compile some of mine. (I will probably make some edits at some point too)

Veronica always struggled with relationships, she never saw how people could say I love you and have relationships where you open up and talk about your feelings.

She is really into sex and physical contact. She flirts shamelessly and then feels guilty because she can't offer people a relationship like that.

The first person she tells is Jughead. It's late and she's freaking out because she thinks there's something wrong with her. For once he doesn't tease or mock her, he gives her information about the ace spectrum. It's a pleasant conversation and she hugs him afterwards, it's awkward and he pats her back and tells her it's okay.

Veronica is comfortable with the term aromantic. She knows she's into men and women so biromantic works too.

Romantic relationships aren't her thing. She can see why people would want them but she's more comfortable exploring but not having that type of relationship.

That doesn't mean she doesn't feel very strongly or passionately for people - she does. It's just not the same. Wanting people to be safe and happy is how she expresses her love.

People call her heartless and a user but she knows she isn't. She's always completely honest about what she wants.

Betty gets her an aro bracelet and Veronica nearly cries.

Veronica goes to pride with Cheryl, Toni, Fangs and Sweet Pea. She has a small aro pin on her dress and a bi flag in her hand.

Jeronica Headcanons 7

1) Who rocks the Ferris Wheel seat and who flips out and begs them to stop?

- Jughead rocks the Ferris Wheel, and Veronica begs him to stop because she remembers all of those warnings about how badly they’re set up. Jughead will laugh, but will stop when asked.

2) Who is always horny and will have sex at any time, at any place and at any time?

- They both are, really. But if there was one slightly more than the other, it’d be Jughead. He just can’t keep his hands off of Veronica and sometimes he likes to tease her in inappropriate settings (dinner with friends, things like that) to see what she’ll do. And usually because she’s more dominant than him, will take control or drive him crazy until they get back home.

3) Who is more into taking showers/baths together? Who tries to make it relaxing and who tries to make it sexy time?

- Surprisingly, Jughead is more into taking showers and baths together. But that’s probably because it’s a tender moment where he tries to make it relaxing for Veronica, while she (sometimes) tries to make it sexy.

4) Who likes to walk around the house naked and who tells the other to go put some clothes on?

- Veronica loves her body, and loves to walk around naked especially when Jughead is working so he’ll pay attention to her, so he’ll ask her to go put clothes on  (and other times he gives in, of course).

5) Who sleeps on the couch when they get into a fight?

- Veronica. Jughead has a hard time getting to sleep without her, though, so after thrashing around for awhile he’ll cave and carry her back to bed and then they’ll talk out their fight in the morning (where he usually makes her breakfast in bed).

6) Who takes photos of the other while they sleep?

- Jughead, because Veronica looks so cute while she’s peaceful and asleep. When she found out, she began to do the same. Jughead hates it because unlike her goddess-like figure, he looks like he’s trying to suck out all of the air in his sleep.

7) Who said “I love you” first? and who ends their arguments in a fight with “Because I love you”?

- Jughead said “I love you” first, and he always ends their arguments in “because I love you” because as insane as his reasons are, he only does things out of love (but that doesn’t mean Veronica doesn’t either, she’s just… a bit more rational).

8) Who likes to wear the others sweatshirts?

- Veronica, she lives for it because they look hella good on her, and Jughead offers them all the time because when he can get them back they smell like her.

9) Who wakes the other up in the middle of the night to tell them a cool dream they had? Who has the most nightmares, and who sings them back to sleep after?

- Jughead wakes Veronica up to tell her about his cool dreams, but other times he has the worst nightmares about his childhood. And other days it’s Veronica having nightmares about how she used to act before she came to Riverdale. Veronica sings Jughead back to sleep when he has a nightmare, and he lowly hums a tune (because he’s insecure about his singing voice) until she falls back asleep when she has a nightmare.

10) Who is more likely to cheat?

- … Jughead… 

11) Who makes fun of the other for having a crush on them, and who has to remind them that they are in a relationship?

- Jughead makes fun of the crush, Veronica reminds him that they’re dating.

12) Who starts a food fight in the kitchen?

- Surprisingly, Veronica. But that’s usually when he’s not in a great mood, and she wants to lift his spirits.

13) Who initiates duets? and who is the better singer?

- Jughead, because when Veronica’s singing he’ll absentmindedly join in. But Veronica is the better singer by far.

14) Who starts the hand holding? Who grabs the others butt? Who slides their arm around their waist? Who likes to put their fingers in the belt loops?

- Jughead starts the handholding because when they first start dating, Veronica is worried about what others would think (since they dated Archie and Betty, and are now dating each other). However, Veronica loves to grab Jughead’s butt, especially after he goes to the gym regularly with his Serpent friends. Jughead slides his arm around Veronica’s waist all the time, which then is usually adequate for a cute cheek kiss. Veronica pulls Jughead towards her by putting her fingers in his belt loops.

15) Who likes writes the others name on their wrist?

- When V catches this girl flirting with Jughead and sliding her fingers up and down his arm, Veronica writes her name on his wrist so when she does it again, she’ll see who his girlfriend is.

16) Who is more seductive when they are drunk? and who is louder in bed?

- Veronica, and also Veronica.

17) Who is more protective?

- They both are, but one time Veronica got a death threat and he asked his Serpent buddies to help protect Veronica so… Jughead is a bit more protective.

18) Who talks to the other while they are sleeping?

- Jughead comes to bed late sometimes so when she’s sleeping he’ll still have some energy, and he’ll try to lower it by talking lowly to Veronica, telling her how much he loves and adores her, and how he’s so glad they took the chance and got together.

19) Who drives and who has the window seat?

- Jughead drives, and Veronica has the window seat, which works perfect because Veronica loves to blast music with the window down and see what the world has to offer, while Jughead loves to drive because it gives him a sense of peace somehow.

20) Who falls asleep in the others lap and who carries them to bed?

- Jughead, when he’s up late, will end up falling asleep in Veronica’s lap the next day or so and while she can’t carry him (she has a couple of times but he moves excessively when she does) she does wake him up to help guide him to bed. He does not remember it, though, which she finds hilarious.

21) Who cuts the others hair?

- Jughead, surprisingly, loves to do Veronica’s hair. He’ll trim her hair sometimes, and he doesn’t trust Veronica to do his correctly so he goes to his barber (but that’s fine with her, because while he gets his hair cut she gets her nails done at a nail salon nearby).

22) Who is super bad at sexting? and who sends them encouraging messages throughout the day?

- Jughead has never sexted before, so he’s bad at it, and when the other is having a bad day they will both send encouraging messages throughout the day.

23) Who thinks they are not good enough for the others love? and who’s more afraid of loosing the other? Who thinks they keep messing up, only for the other to tell them they don’t need to worry?

- Jughead doesn’t think he’s good enough for Veronica’s love, but Veronica is more afraid of losing him. Veronica keeps thinking that she messes up but Jughead doesn’t think so, and tells her she doesn’t need to worry because this is a relationship and they make mistakes together, and they fix whatever it is TOGETHER.

24) Who starts random slow dancing with the other in the kitchen? Who holds the other just above the ground and kisses them?

- Veronica, and Jughead.

25) Who says shitty puns and sex jokes just to see the other giggle and blush?

- Jughead, definitely.

26) Who kissed first?

- You’d think Veronica, but it was Jughead because he had a random spout of confidence and he just kissed her. He was surprised that she deepened the kiss.

27) Who orders take out at two in a morning? and who wakes the other up at three in the morning to go downstairs with them to get a glass of water because it’s too dark?

- Jughead (since he works late), and Veronica hates going downstairs in the dark so she’ll wake him up.

28) Who writes poems/stories and love songs about the other? Do they sing the songs the write for them?

- Jughead, and yes he does. He may not be very confident with his voice, but since it’s just Veronica, he knows she likes his voice.

29) Who does some crazy stunt to try and impress the other and who ends up driving them to the emergency room after it backfires?

- Jughead, and Veronica drives him to the ER with multiple sighs and playful mutters of “why do I love you, again?”

30) Who is embarrassed when they have to wear their glasses and who thinks they look super cute?

- Veronica wears glasses but she’s self conscious about them because Spence found out about them before she left and made fun of her, but Jughead adores her with glasses on. He finds it super cute.

Do you have any jeronica headcanons?

Uuuh I have a ton! Thanks for asking *w*JERONICA HEADCANONS:- Endless list of nicknames from literature/movies. But the one that sticks the most, for V, is princess- Veronica doing everything she can to reopen the drive in because she knows how much it means for Jug- Movie nights, just the two of them, watching old classics- Inside jokes, a ton of them- Literary/movie references that only the two of them really understand- V being the only person to whom Jug lets read his novel & her always supporting him, giving advice and, when necessary, constructive notes- V quickly gaining the trust and friendship of the Serpents at the point of becoming basically an onorary member

- V and Jug always fighting about who pays the bill at Pop’s: when one of them wins, however, the other always find a way to make it even

- Them not being able to keep their hands off each other, constantly needing even the smallest contact

- Jug letting her be the big spoon when she wants because he finds very sweet how their height difference makes it feel like she’s a small backpack, or a baby koala

- Her always wanting to look the best around Jug, and him constantly telling her that she doesn’t need to. He thinks that she looks most stunning when she wakes up in the morning

- She can’t cook, but she tries her best for him

- Jug’s novel becoming slowly more about her than anything else

- Leaving each other notes in the locker/on the fridge/inside their copybooks with sweet/meaningful quotes from books and poems

- Jellybean thinking of V like a sister, and V giving her her old clothes

- Moving to NY together for college

- “I’m not calling my son Forsythe Pendleton Jones the fourth”

The library would be their HQ but after being kicked out numerous times they move to a secluded corner at Pop’s

They are professionals at sneaking into places they’re not supposed to be

Jug was very surprised seeing Veronica in her catsuit

“Why the hell are you wearing that?”

“It’s my catsuit.”

“I know what that is. But don’t you think it’s a bit much for this?”

“Why? Is it distracting you?”
