Alison still tries to kiss Elliot on the cheek before he gets on the bus but Aarti holds her back so Elliot can run

Jericho often wondered whether she was born to be evil. It was something that other people seemed to believe, namely Interpol agents who didn’t even work her parents’ case. Others, like her aunt, and the original task force, and even L’s daughter herself, didn’t believe that. Jericho couldn’t help wondering about it though. Especially when she looked in the mirror to see her mother’s death eyes staring back at her, glowing a red only she could see. And her father’s nose. His nose, and his hair, and his eye shape. Jericho resembled him more than her brother did. She hated it. Murderers following her in mirrors.

Jericho was a lot of things. She was a granddaughter, a niece, a student, a gymnast. She didn’t think she was evil. She didn’t want to be evil.

Once, when she was nine, an Interpol agent questioned her about Beyond Birthday. Jericho had never heard of him.

She told the agent that. He laughed. It was one of those laughs that sounded scoff-like. Mocking. He kept asking the same questions. Do you know what Beyond Birthday could do, Amane? Do you know what he inherited, Amane? Do you know what made him a monster, Amane? Jericho didn’t know why he was calling her Amane. Not at the time. She’d learned later. After her aunt had burst in and started yelling at the agent, after she had been removed from the interrogation room, after she saw her brother staring down any agent that dared glance at her. After her aunt had made a phone call, and Luci had flown into Tokyo. Luci had been the one to finally explain it to her.

Beyond Birthday had shinigami eyes. No one knew how he got them. One theory was inheritance. Jericho had felt ice going down her spine as Luci looked at her. Luci always looked at her so kindly, her big eyes soft and understanding. Jericho didn’t know why. Didn’t know how Luci could look at Jericho and not see her father’s murderer. Luci asked her if she thought inheriting shinigami eyes was possible. Jericho looked up, above Luci’s head where sharp letters spelled out Lucia Eleanor Lawliet. Very suddenly she knew why the Interpol agent refused to call her anything but Amane.

Jericho Yagami looked Luci Lawliet dead in the eyes and nodded.

his birthday is on valentine's day!

this means he gets his pick of valentine's day themed chocolates and candies as his birthday snacks every year and he loves it

mello spoils this child on his birthday

anghel can't really have a birthday party bc he's really shy and moves schools often so he doesn't have a ton of friends growing up

so mello lets him do pretty much whatever he wants on his birthday

usually it's fun activities and a special dinner as a family (him, mello, matt, niki, blake, and luci)

he always gets cupcakes instead of cake

he doesn't like to think about his mom on his birthday

or in general but especially on his birthday

mello is quick to destract anghel if he notices something is reminding anghel of his mom

when he gets older (high school age) and they are living in a city in the US more permanently he will have birthday sleepovers with his best friend eden and a few of their other friends

anghel loves archery and thinks its really funny that he was born on valentine's day because of that

he's pretty good friends with jericho yagami (everyone is a little surprised by it) so he and jericho will usually facetime at some point on his birthday

Thank you so much!! Luci is close with her cousins! They’ve got a pretty big age gap, but they were raised together by Mello, Matt, and Niki since Luci was 10, Anghel was 1, and Blake was born so they have a relationship more like siblings than cousin in a way. They also only really have each other for a lot of their lives because they move pretty frequently to places all over the world, so except for each other their friends are all long distance (like Luci is close to the Misora-Penber kids and Anghel is close to Jericho Yagami who live in Japan permanently) or acquaintances they meet in the neighborhoods they move to.

“I’m Mello and this is my son Anghel who is ten.”

The little blond boy waved at the camera in response to his father’s introduction.

“Hi,” Anghel said in a tiny voice. He looked up at his dad who smiled down at him, before he turned back to the camera.

“I've been dancing since I was four, my favorite dance style is ballet because my dad also dances ballet and it’s really fun. It’s also what I’m best at and I can even beat Hikari in that style.” Anghel twisted his earring as he spoke. “Hikari is the only person on the team that I ever really compete against because he’s in my age group and gets a bunch of solos. I know that he’s really good because he wins first at almost everything, but I don’t really like when Mr. Ryuk tells me that he’s better than me and I should try to be like him because we dance differently.”

Mello looked sadly at his son before he spoke to the camera, "Anghel is an incredible ballet dancer, ten times what I was at his age. He's really talented and we're at this studio so he can learn from the best. I'm willing to fight to make sure he gets to."

“I’m L and this is my daughter Luci, she is thirteen.” L said in an almost bored monotone.

"Wonderful way to indroduce us," Luci quipped at her father, her monotone a mirror of his.

"Don't sass me."

"But I get it from you."

"Fair enough."

They broke into slight smiles and Luci looked into the camera to speak.

"Hi, like my dad said, I'm Luci. I have been dancing since I was five and I dance I because I need an extracurricular activity that is not assisting in the investigation of murder cases. Also, because I like it and am pretty good at it, my favorite style is lyrical."

Luci turned to her father to see if he had anything to add. L stopped pulling on his lip and faced the camera.

"People are annoying, especially dance people. I'm here for Luci and also because this way I don't need to watch drama shows on tv like a normal person, I get a front row seat instead"

Light and Hikari Yagami

“I am Light and this is my son Hikari. He is ten and is a national title winner three years in a row, soon to be four."

Light was sitting up straight and looking attentively at the camera, while Hikari looked more annoyed than anything.

"Maybe, I could always lose."

"Hikari,"

"But, you know, statistics show I'm likely gonna win again. I normally dance lyrical, and I do like it, but I don't think I have a favorite style. I like when I get duet dances with my sister Jericho."

Light sighed, "As much as he likes those they don't really win, Jericho isn't exactly at his level."

"For lyrical no of course not, that's like if I were to do an acro dance. We're different dancers, so we need a common ground style like jazz or tap to win."

"Even then Hikari's very andvanced for his age, Jericho isn't quite there yet."

Hikari rolled his eyes before mouthing to the camera, 'Stop insulting my sister.' Light didn't notice and continued talking.

"I will take on anyone who thinks Hikari is not the best, and I will fight to make sure Hikari gets the best training possible. Which is here with Ryuk."

Misa Amane and Jericho Yagami

“Hi! I’m Misa Amane, this is my daughter Jericho Yagami and she is nine!”

Misa was beaming at the camera while Jericho shifted uncomfortably in her chair.

"Hello" Jericho said, "I have been dancing since I was three and my favorite style is acro because I like tricks. I get in the top five a lot."

"Jericho is very talented, and she gets better every time she dances. She'll be better than Hikari one day."

"Mom-" Jericho interjected.

"No, Jericho, it's fine. She is dancing here to be the best and she will be. Then when her father and I get back together then everything will be perfect."

"Mom, stop it he's seeing Takada again and please don't compare me to my brother."

Misa flinched at the word brother.

"I'm the mother of his child-"

"So's Takada,"

"And that means something. I need him to see you as better than Hikari so he goes to the mother of the better child."

"Please, don't talk about my brother like that"

Misa cleared her throat.

"I'm so happy my daughter is so into dance. That's why she's here, to be the best she can be."

Blake smiled widely at the camera and waved, red bangs falling into her eyes.

“Hi!” Blake said happily.

“So Blake,” A producer asked from off camera, “Do you like to dance?”

Blake furrowed her eyebrows, “Kinda, but I’m good at it and I like winning,” She informed the camera.

Matt smiled sheepishly, “Blake is pretty competitive,” he admitted, “We came to this studio because Anghel and Luci were here. So we joined because of friends and stayed because Blake wanted to keep winning.”

Blake nodded, “Mr. Ryuk is weird though, he yells a lot but doesn’t like it when I yell back.”

“Does that happen a lot Blake?” The producer asked from off camera again, “You yelling at Mr. Ryuk?”

“Yup,” Blake confirmed, “If Mr. Ryuk is loud then I’m gonna be loud and if he yells at Anie I get to yell at him.”

Matt smiled at his daughter, “She’s also a bit protective. It makes watching her in class interesting to say the least.”
