✨Cookie Monster✨
Summary: Dean and his little partner-in-crime just got busted mid-cookie raid. With you catching on fast, they’ll need quick excuses and plenty of charm to dodge trouble.
-Christmas Special-
Pairing: Dean x Reader
Warnings: FLUFF
Word Count: 2863
A/N: English isn’t my first language, please be lenient. ❤️
The faint glow of the kitchen light spilled into the dim hallway, catching Dean’s attention as he padded barefoot across the cold bunker floor. It was 3 a.m. on Christmas night, and while most of the world slept soundly, he was wide awake.
What he didn’t expect, however, was to find a certain tiny troublemaker sitting cross-legged on the counter, her little fingers in the cookie jar you had carefully placed on the highest shelf only hours before. The smell of your freshly baked Christmas cookies still lingered in the air, the warmth of cinnamon and vanilla wrapping around the room like a blanket. But the sight before him? It nearly stopped him in his tracks.
There she was—your daughter, all six years of her, the absolute spitting image of him. Her mop of chestnut-brown hair was sticking out in every direction, messy from sleep, and her green eyes sparkled mischievously in the dim light as she froze mid-bite of a sugar-dusted cookie. She didn’t look guilty, though. Oh, no. That kid had his smirk, his attitude, and clearly his appetite.
Dean crossed his arms over his chest, leaning against the doorframe, his lips twitching as he tried to keep a straight face. He tilted his head slightly, watching as she very slowly—almost comically—lowered the cookie from her mouth, like maybe if she moved slow enough, he wouldn’t notice.
“Well?” he said, his voice low and expectant. “You gonna tell me why you’re raiding the cookie stash at three in the morning? I mean, this better be good”.
She blinked up at him, her green eyes wide and innocent. Too innocent. Dean knew that look—he’d perfected it himself years ago.
“I… I was just making sure they weren’t poisoned”, she said, her small voice full of conviction. “You know, ‘cause monsters might’ve gotten to them”.
Dean raised an eyebrow, his smirk finally breaking through. “Oh, is that right? Monsters snuck into the bunker and went after your mom’s cookies? You’re telling me I need to add cookie patrol to my list of jobs now?”.
She nodded solemnly, as if she truly believed it. “Uh-huh. Monsters like cookies. Especially Christmas ones”.
Dean pushed off the doorframe and walked toward her, his boots silent on the kitchen floor. “Hmm”, he murmured, pretending to consider her excuse. “Well, I gotta say, that’s a new one. You sure it wasn’t just you and your sweet tooth doing a little late-night snacking?”.
Her eyes darted to the cookie jar and back to him. “Nope. I’m on duty”.
“On duty, huh?”. He reached out, plucking the cookie she still held in her hand and taking a bite. “Guess I better help out then. Wouldn’t want you fighting off cookie monsters alone”.
She giggled, covering her mouth with her hands. “You’re gonna be in trouble, Daddy. Mommy said these are for tomorrow”.
Dean gave her a mock-serious look, chewing the cookie thoughtfully. “Oh, so you get to break the rules, but when I do it, I’m in trouble?”.
She grinned, her little teeth showing through a gap from her missing front tooth. “Yep”.
He chuckled, shaking his head. “You really are my kid, aren’t you?”.
Sliding his hands under her arms, he lifted her off the counter, setting her on the floor. “Alright, Cookie Monster Junior, let’s get you back to bed before your mom wakes up and bans us both from Christmas”.
“But I’m not tired!”, she protested, though she yawned right after, completely betraying herself.
Dean smirked, grabbing her hand and leading her out of the kitchen. “Sure, you’re not. And I’m not hungry. C’mon, squirt”.
As they walked down the hallway, her tiny hand gripping his, Dean glanced down at her. She looked up at him with a sleepy smile, and for a moment, all the years of hunting, fighting, and losing didn’t seem so heavy. This? This was worth it.
When they reached her room, Dean nudged the door open with his foot, the soft glow from the hallway lighting up the little space you had carefully decorated just for her. She had picked out every detail—the purple bedspread, the glow-in-the-dark stars on the ceiling, even the tiny bookshelf stuffed with her favorite stories. It made Dean grin every time he saw it; it was so her.
But before he could tuck her back in, she pulled on his hand, her green eyes narrowing like she had just remembered something important.
“I have to brush my teeth again”, she mumbled, her voice tinged with the dramatic seriousness only a six-year-old could muster.
Dean blinked down at her. “What?”.
“You heard me”, she said, crossing her arms and planting her feet. “I ate cookies. Mommy said sugar’s bad for my teeth. I don’t want them to get all yucky”.
Dean groaned softly, running a hand over his face. “Kid, it’s three in the damn—”. He caught himself mid-sentence and bit his lip. “I mean, it’s three in the freakin’ morning! Can’t we just—?”.
“Nope”, she said, cutting him off with the kind of stubborn defiance that made it crystal clear she was his kid. She mirrored his crossed arms, lifting her chin in challenge. “Mommy will ask if I brushed. You wanna get in trouble? ‘Cause I don’t”.
Dean stared at her, dumbfounded for a second, before he let out a quiet laugh. “You’re somethin’ else, you know that?”.
She shrugged, already heading back down the hallway toward the bathroom. “You always say that when you’re trying not to be mad”.
Dean shook his head, following her. “I’m not mad, kiddo. I’m just tired as shit”. He immediately winced, realizing what he’d just said. He glanced down at her, hoping against hope that she hadn’t caught it. No such luck.
Her little green eyes lit up like she’d just found gold. “Ooooh, you said a bad word!”, she sing-songed, spinning around to face him. She planted her hands on her hips, the perfect little picture of self-righteous indignation. “Mommy’s gonna wash your mouth out with soap”.
Dean groaned, scrubbing a hand down his face. “Oh, come on. You weren’t supposed to hear that”.
“I heard it”, she said triumphantly, a mischievous grin spreading across her face. “You’re in big trouble now”.
“Kid, don’t even think about it”, Dean warned, pointing a finger at her as she skipped ahead toward the bathroom. “You don’t need to tell your mom every damn—every dang thing I say”.
She giggled, clearly enjoying how flustered he was. “I’m gonna tell her”, she teased, her voice sing-song again. “I’m gonna say, ‘Mommy, Daddy said the S-word’”.
Dean leaned against the bathroom doorframe, watching as she grabbed her little green dinosaur toothbrush and smothered it in toothpaste. She stuck it in her mouth with all the dramatic flair a six-year-old could muster, scrubbing away as if she were polishing her teeth for some royal inspection.
She turned to him mid-brush, her cheeks puffed out with toothpaste foam. “Just kidding, Daddy”, she mumbled, grinning through the mess she was making. Bits of toothpaste dribbled down her chin. “I won’t tell Mommy you said the S-word”.
Dean let out a relieved sigh. “Thanks”.
“But…”, she said, drawing out the word in a sing-song tone, her eyes twinkling with mischief, “you can’t say Mommy I ate the cookies!”.
Dean froze, his eyebrows shooting up as he pointed a finger at her. “Whoa, whoa, hold up. That’s not the deal, kid”.
She shrugged, still brushing furiously. “It is now”, she mumbled through the frothy toothpaste. “If you don’t tell on me, I won’t tell on you”.
He narrowed his eyes at her. “You’re blackmailing me?”.
She pulled the toothbrush out of her mouth, rinsing it under the tap with exaggerated care before grinning up at him. “Just being fair”.
Dean couldn’t help the laugh that bubbled out of him, shaking his head as he watched her spit into the sink. “You’re a piece of work, you know that?”.
“Uh-huh”, she said proudly, rinsing her mouth before hopping off the little stool. “Mommy says I get that from you".
“Yeah, she’s not wrong”, Dean muttered, crouching down to her level. “Alright, deal. You don’t tell your mom about my language, and I don’t say a word about the cookies. But if she asks—”.
Dean barely finished his sentence when he felt the unmistakable presence of you stepping up beside him. He straightened a little, his eyes darting toward you. You stood there, looking just as tired as he felt, with your hair mussed from sleep and one hand resting on your very noticeable, very pregnant belly.
You blinked at the two of them, your expression somewhere between confusion and amusement. “What’s going on here?”, you asked, your voice low but carrying that knowing tone that made Dean flinch slightly.
“Nothing”, Dean said a little too quickly, rubbing the back of his neck and glancing down at your daughter, who was already grinning up at you, toothpaste still clinging to the corner of her mouth.
“Nothing, huh?”, you repeated, arching an eyebrow as you looked between them. “It’s three in the morning, and I find you two conspirators in the bathroom. What did I miss?”.
Dean opened his mouth to answer, but your daughter beat him to it, bouncing on her heels as she declared, “We were just brushing our teeth! Right, Daddy?”.
Dean let out a short, awkward laugh. “Yep. Just a little late-night dental hygiene. Nothing to see here”.
You gave him a long, skeptical look, crossing your arms over your chest. “Uh-huh. And what about the cookies?”.
Dean froze, his mouth working but no sound coming out. You turned your gaze to your daughter, whose grin only grew wider, her green eyes sparkling with mischief.
“I didn’t eat that many”, she said, her voice dripping with fake innocence. “Just a little taste. For Santa. You know, quality control”.
You sighed, pinching the bridge of your nose but unable to keep the corner of your mouth from twitching in a small smile. “Dean”.
“What?”, Dean asked, holding up his hands like he was innocent in all this. “She was already eating them when I found her. What was I supposed to do? Arrest her?”.
You sighed, shaking your head and muttering under your breath, “Maybe for once, you could try not being the nice one”.
Dean, who was still standing there looking sheepish, raised an eyebrow at you. “Hey, hold on now. I’m not the nice one. I’m the ‘don’t eat all your mom’s cookies’ guy. That’s not nice—that’s responsible”.
Your daughter giggled, clearly enjoying her parents’ back-and-forth, her earlier sleepiness temporarily forgotten.
You shifted your weight slightly, one hand still resting on your belly, as you leveled a tired but amused glare at him. “Dean, I sent you to the garage for a bottle of water. That was over ten minutes ago. And now I find you here, letting her sweet-talk you out of trouble”.
Dean opened his mouth to defend himself, then seemed to think better of it. He rubbed the back of his neck, looking somewhere between guilty and playful. “Well, technically, I was on my way back when I heard movement in the kitchen. Thought it might be something… you know, not human”.
You gave him a dry look, folding your arms. “So your first instinct was to leave me and the baby upstairs alone while you investigate potential danger? Without telling me?”.
Dean winced, throwing his hands up. “Okay, now you’re just twisting my words. I knew it wasn’t anything dangerous. I was just being thorough”.
“Uh-huh”. You looked down at your daughter, who was now hiding a grin behind her toothpaste-smeared hand. “And I’m guessing your thorough investigation just happened to include taste-testing the cookies?”.
Dean glanced at her, then back at you, his smirk betraying him. “Maybe”.
You couldn’t help it—you sighed again, though there was a laugh hidden in it this time. “Dean, you’re impossible”.
Dean stepped closer, sliding his arm around your waist with that boyish grin he always used when he was trying to charm his way out of trouble. “Come on, sweetheart”, he murmured, his voice low and warm. “Don’t be mad. Let’s get you back to bed. You need your rest—doctor’s orders, right?”.
You narrowed your eyes at him, though his hand resting on your hip and the warmth in his voice were already softening your resolve. “Dean”, you said slowly, trying to hold your ground, “don’t try to sweet-talk me right now. You were supposed to grab a bottle of water, not have a late-night cookie party”.
Dean leaned in closer, his grin widening as he gently swayed you both side to side. “First off, it wasn’t a party. It was more like… a cookie intervention. You know, to protect Santa’s stash. Second”, he lowered his voice, his lips brushing just above your ear, “I can make it up to you. Anything you want”.
You sighed, pretending to be unaffected, though you felt a smile creeping in despite yourself. “Anything, huh?”.
“Anything”, he promised, tightening his hold on your waist.
Before Dean could lean in any closer, your daughter stepped forward, her little arms crossed over her chest and her expression eerily similar to his. She tilted her head, green eyes sparkling with a mix of amusement and mock accusation.
“You wanted to take me back to bed, Daddy”, she said pointedly, her tone almost scolding.
Dean froze, caught between grinning and groaning. “I did take you to bed”, he replied, raising an eyebrow at her. “You’re the one who popped back up like a little ninja”.
She tapped her foot, clearly enjoying the upper hand. “Well, I’m still here. So maybe you need to try harder”.
You couldn’t help the soft laugh that escaped you, pressing a hand to your belly as you shook your head. “She’s got you there, Dean”.
“Yeah, yeah”, Dean muttered, running a hand through his hair. “Alright, squirt. You win. Let’s get you back to bed for real this time”.
Your daughter didn’t budge, though, instead pointing at you. “What about Mommy? She needs to go to bed too. The baby needs sleep”.
Dean gave her a look, his smirk slowly spreading across his face. “Hey, I’m working on it. You’ve been keeping Mommy and me pretty busy tonight, you know”.
Your daughter grinned mischievously, clearly unbothered. “You’re slow, Daddy”.
“Slow?”, Dean scoffed, turning to you with mock offense. “Did you hear that? Slow. The audacity”.
You smiled, patting his chest. “Maybe she’s not wrong. I mean, where’s my water?”.
Dean groaned dramatically, throwing his hands up in mock surrender. “I can’t win with you two, can I?”.
“Nope”, you both said in unison—your daughter with a proud little smirk and you with a teasing grin.
Dean sighed, crouching down to pick her up, settling her on his hip. “Alright, boss”, he said, looking at her. “Let’s get you to bed, again. And maybe, just maybe, I can convince your mom not to fire me as her husband while I’m at it”.
Your daughter giggled, resting her head on his shoulder as he carried her toward her room. You followed, smiling softly as you watched them. The way Dean handled her with such patience and love, even when she was clearly pushing every button he had, warmed your heart.
Once she was tucked in, her tiny hand resting on her favorite stuffed animal, she looked up at Dean and said sleepily, “You’re not slow, Daddy. You’re the best”.
Dean softened instantly, leaning down to kiss her forehead. “Night, kiddo. Love you”.
“Love you too”, she mumbled, her eyes already closing.
When you and Dean finally made it back to your shared room, he handed you the long-awaited bottle of water and flopped onto the bed with a groan. “I swear, she’s got my stubbornness, your smarts, and an attitude that could put demons to shame”.
You laughed, settling beside him. “That’s what makes her perfect”.
Dean turned his head to look at you, a soft smile spreading across his face as he reached over to rest a hand on your belly. “And this one’s probably gonna be the same, huh?”.
“Most likely”, you teased, leaning into him. “You’re in for it, Winchester”.
He chuckled, wrapping an arm around you and pulling you close. “Wouldn’t have it any other way”.

God Bless America pt 3
Part One
Part Two
Description: Things are back on track between you and Ben, and you've found a sort of peace. Vought is determined to ruin that.
Author's note: This hyperfixation is really serving. This may be the last part of this mini-fic, as I've literally just been writing things as they've entered my mind and they just happen to be cohesive. But who knows! Uni starts up again imminently, hopefully I'll catch a break. Feel free to send in prompts or scenarios and I could probably bang something drabbley out. Also, thank you everyone for your support, I love each and every one of you motherfuckers.
Warnings: gore, darkfic -kinda, this came out slightly fluffy (don't know what happened there lol), mentions of pregnancy, mentions of sex, swearing, implied forced testing, cringey language
S/N : Supe Name
Suit: random office worker that I didn't bless with a name or description
---
You span in your desk chair in absolute boredom, hands on your swollen belly, the only modicum of joy you got was from the movements of your darling baby, only four more months to go now.
Which is why you were sat in said desk chair, in a Vought meeting room with a bunch of suits from HR and legal, negotiating over your maternity leave and, much to his horror, Ben's paternity leave.
He couldn't understand why he would have to take time off as well. As he put it "My part is done, I got my soldiers to your base, your turn to lead the charge." After saying such a thing he promptly had the nearest object in your vicinity thrown at him.
You tried to explain to him, that you would need help as the pregnancy progressed, that there could be complications leaving you bed-bound till it was time to push the little one out into the world, that you could even be hospitalised. You expected him to put his fingers in his ear and start singing the national anthem at you, desperate to drown you out, but what happened instead shocked you.
He stilled, and you could see the thoughts churning in his head, and gradually his brow furrowed and he turned away from you. You walked towards him, arms encircling his waist, face pressed against his back, the texture of his soft cotton jersey brushing against your cheek. You knew exactly what he was doing.
Ben cleared his throat and took a sharp inhale of breath. He couldn't show weakness in front of you, especially not now. It wasn't the manly- let alone fatherly- thing to do. But he felt that resolve weaken by the way you held him so tenderly, leaned into his back so softly. It reminded him of the earlier days in your relationship, when you trusted him so blindly, believed in him so faithfully.
He'd get home from work, usually in a pissy mood, ranting and raving about whatever fuckery his team had put him through. And you would be there, smile on your lips, eyes filled with joy just at the sight of him. You'd listen, never probe but when he was just winding himself up, you would circle your arms around his waist and press your face into his back, leaning on him for support. The action was simple but made him feel like he was your whole world, that he was all you needed, that he was enough.
Things were better now. Ben had followed your instruction to the morbid T, and in turn, you allowed his presence, tolerated it even, though you soon fell back into the trap of loving him wholeheartedly again. The way he doted on you, adored you, the way you were 'his girl' again.
It didn't mean that things were perfect - far from it. You still had the occasional shouting match that led to the replacement of many crushed/shattered mobile phones, and though you wouldn't admit it, your attachment to Ben had become positively possessive. If his gaze strayed from you for more than a minute, you could feel yourself freeze up, a blend of uncouth rage and desperation flooding you that was only sated when he looked back at you again. You were needy, and it was pathetic- to you, not to him, he found it hot as fuck and told you so.
Ben would press a hand to your lower back, hover smugly above your ear and whisper assurances to you, though they were less than PG. Often involving a detailed description of him fucking you in front of whoever you were jealous of. You blamed the pregnancy hormones, but every time he did it you wanted him to make good on his promises and you quickly escorted him to a (mostly) private section of wherever you were.
In fact, as you sat there, listening to the drone of legal and HR, you realised that you had been in this meeting room before. Though you could hardly blame yourself, you didn't really take in decor when you bent over the conference table, getting your brains fucked out. You cursed yourself for not making Ben read that pregnancy book earlier, ever since he found out making you cum was good for the baby, the man was on a mission - not that he wasn't before, but there was definitely an added level of determination that you appreciated.
"So it's agreed? S/N will start her maternity leave now and once she reaches her third trimester Soldier Boy will start his paternity leave." Your Vought legal representative consolidated. You tuned back into the conversation, hopeful that this meeting was finally coming to an end.
"Agreed, we have already arranged for the samples to be taken in the next half-hour if S/N is ready?" The other suit asked, casting you an expectant look. You froze, your hand gripping your bump and leaned forward, a panicked look directed to your rep, but before you could continue the suit continued. "May I remind S/N that it is in her signed contract that sample matter from a resulting pregnancy is legally Vought's to take. This includes amniotic fluid, blood and foetus tissue sample."
You felt your stomach lurch and you swallowed thickly, you didn't argue that it wasn't in your contract, it was exactly the type of sick and twisted clause Vought would stick in there.
"S/N?" Your legal rep asked, seemingly completely unbothered by what was going on. You didn't question if it was safe, nothing that Vought did was ever safe.
You surveyed the room, there was about eight people there, none of them particularly intimidating but that's not what you were worried about. They would have known you were going to show resistance and you now realised that the abundance of office workers was to merely lull you into a false sense of security. This meant one of three things. 1) There was a supe nearby ready to make you comply 2) One if not all of them had tranquillisers on them 3) all of the above.
Knowing Vought it was probably number three.
You could try and do a runner but you would get caught, you could try and fight them but that meant risking the baby. Whatever supe was going to show up would hardly care about your condition and who the fuck knew what Vought put in those tranquillisers.
Your eyes looked around the room, pretending to think about if you had any scheduled plans after this meeting. Your eyes settled on a wonky painting that had been hastily put back up- in fact, you had put that back up after it fell during your 'de-stressing session' with Ben.
Ben.
"Yes, I think that should be just fine." You smiled sweetly at them, "You wouldn't mind me calling my fiancé Be- Soldier Boy to let him know, would you? He likes to be included in anything related to the baby. Plus he would love to know that our little creation is helping advance the research at Vought. Anything for his country- you know him!"
You laughed and waved your hand, praying that they were convinced by your little show. They didn't know him, but it flew that Soldier Boy, the living and breathing embodiment of the good ol' red white and blue, would be behind such a thing. It was for his country after all.
"Great, that's just great. I'll call him now." You took the general shrugging from them as a go-ahead and quickly called Ben, mouthing 'busy man' to them with a big smile as it continued to ring, you were half afraid that he wasn't going to pick up until you heard his gruff voice on the end of the line.
"What baby? Can't even go to a meeting without-"
"-Ben, honey!" You smiled tensely as you cut him off his surely sordid sentence, and prayed that he could pick up on your forced cheeriness, from experience he should. Considering you only spoke in that tone to him when you were threatening to get rid of his baby or extreme violence. "I just wanted to let you know that Vought are going to collect some samples of our little star-spangled bugaboo. Amniotic fluid, blood, a bit of tissue matter, nothing our little super trooper can't handle, especially considering her old daddio! I was just hoping you would be able to join your darling doll at the doctor's, honeybuns."
You wanted to pull your own tongue out of your mouth, stuff it down your throat and throw it back up again.
"I will be right there."
And just like that the line dropped, you smiled, taking the phone away from your ear and holding it to your chest. You gave a thumbs up and chuckled nervously, "He's on his way!" You sat back down into your chair and exhaled, muttering the phrase to yourself again. "He's on his way.."
The time it took for Ben to get there was filled with awkward silence, interrupted only by the odd question from a curious suit about your pregnancy and the baby. Which was met with a vague and elusive answer. There was no way in hell you were going to give them any more information about it than what they already had.
Then finally, Ben appeared, bursting into the conference room decked out in his suit, hair dishevelled, panting ever so slightly, knuckles bruised. So you were right, there had been a supe nearby. He looked at you with a loving urgency and you stood up, one hand on your stomach as you nodded your head. You were okay, the both of you were, but more importantly, you were ready.
Ben landed the first hit and the HR manager's head rolled down the conference table like a bloody bowling ball. You struck next, your unhelpful rep ended up being useful for the first time in their life by acting as a human shield as you burst through their chest and clawed out the Head of Legal's throat. The others got out their tranqs - right again, but you unsheathed your forearm from your rep's chest and threw their body onto them, knocking them off their feet.
"Glad you got the message." You told him in relief as you crushed an approaching man's skull in your hand, blood decorating your face like gruesome confetti from a piñata. You quickly dropped him and continued walking towards your saviour.
"Well at first I thought you were trying something new-" Ben kicked another suit's chest in, smiling as he fell to the floor, there weren't many left now. "-but by daddio, I started to realise that something was wrong, darling doll and honeybuns was then just obvious"
"Oh so star-spangled-bugaboo and super trooper were fine, but you drew the line at daddio?" You laughed, hands on your hips as he finished the rest off. Happy that the threats had now been eliminated, Ben allowed himself to relax- slightly and turned to look at you.
You looked ravishing.
His little psycho.
Your hair was wild, no longer in the neat ponytail you had agonised over this morning. The blood that drenched your clothes hung to your curves perfectly, showed off your baby bump beautifully. The look light and love in your eyes? Intoxicating.
He quickly strove over and placed a firm hand on the back of your neck and pulled you closer to him. How could he have ever taken this- you- for granted. He would damn himself a hundred times and a hundred times more for it. You squeaked at the force behind his kiss but happily melted into it and for a brief moment you thought you were going to have reenact the last time the two of you had been there. If you ignored the background last time, you could ignore the blood, guts and gore that made it up now.
Unfortunately, Ben pulled away, pressing his forehead against your own. You whined and he smirked. "Sorry baby, but Butcher's waiting outside in the car, gotta get you and bugaboo out of here."
"That's not sticking!"
"It so is."

An Unexpected Friendship pt 2
Master List
Characters: Jensen Ackles x Reader, Reader’s daughter, Jensen’s children
Warnings/Trigger Warnings: mention of domestic violence, mention of character death,
A/N: This is a short story written in collaboration with @cheekygirl2309. In this story the reader is a widow who has a 4 year old daughter. She’s dating a very abusive man, so she enrolls her daughter in preschool to keep her as shielded as possible. At the preschool we find her daughter has made friends with a set of twins. At pick up one day the reader realizes the parent of her daughter’s best friend is none other than Jensen Ackles. A friendship forms, and decisions are made after a particularly nasty fight with her boyfriend.
No disrespect to Jensen or his family. This is a work of fiction and does not depict real life.
This chapter got a bit long….sorry.
Minors DNI 18+
Jensen arrived home late. Jared was sleeping on the couch when he came inside. “Hey Jar, wake up man.” Jensen said quietly. Jared stretched, “Oh hey man. How’s Y/N?”
Jensen’s head hung slightly, “Not good man. He almost killed her. She’s in a medically induced coma because he beat her up so badly.” Jared’s mouth fell open, “Damn man. I’m sorry to hear that. How’s her daughter?” “She’s okay. She’s going to be staying with Y/N’s best friend.” “That’s good. At least she has someone she knows.” “Yeah, she’s friends with Arrow and Zep. They are in the same class, I just wish there was more I could do to help both of them. I know Arrow and Zep really like Jazmyne.”
“Well man, thanks for watching the kids for me, you should head home.” “Yeah, of course, and Jensen, I do hope Y/N’s gonna be okay. No one deserves what she went through.” Jensen just nodded in agreement, his words caught in his throat as he thought about how she looked in the bed. He had never understood how someone could do that to another person. It upset him, and made him so angry.
After Jared left, Jensen crawled into bed. He had to be up in a few hours to take the kids to school. He tossed and turned most of the night. His heart ached for Y/N and Jazmyne. The fear in her voice when she called him, the look on Jazmyne’s face and how she clung to him, and how bruised and battered you looked in the bed. All of it playing like a record in his head.
He finally fell asleep for what felt like ten minutes before his alarm went off. Jensen grumbled as he turned off the alarm and crawled out of bed. He jumped in the shower and got dressed.
Walking through the quiet house his mind drifted to his late wife. She was not only an amazing wife and mother, but an amazing person. She would volunteer at JJ’s school, while juggling working at the brewery, other projects she worked on, and holding down the household while Jensen was away filming. When she got pregnant with the twins after years of trying, her and Jensen were ecstatic. She went to every appointment, asked every question she could think of and made sure they were ready to bring home not one, but two newborns.
When she died during their birth, Jensen’s soul was crushed. His arms full with their newborns, but empty at the same time. Family and friends rallied around him to help with all three children, but he was lost. His wife, his partner, the love of his life, was gone.
He didn’t know why Jazmyne’s father wasn’t in the picture, but he was sure it had to be something significant. Now you were dealing with Robert and his abusive nature. Jensen didn’t understand why he felt so protective of you so quickly. He hardly knew you.
About an hour after he got up the kids were awake and ready for school. He took JJ to school first and then the twins to school. Walking towards the entrance he saw Jazmyne and Nichole. The twins ran to Jazmyne and Jensen chuckled.
“Good morning Jazzy and Nichole. How are you two today?” Jazmyne’s eyes went wide when she saw Jensen. Nichole offered a soft smile. “Hey, can I talk to you after drop off?” Nichole asked Jensen. “Of course. I wanted to talk to you too.” They walked the kids in and agreed to meet at the coffee shop around the corner to talk.
Once at the coffee shop, Jensen got the coffees and Nichole grabbed a table. “Hey, thanks for meeting with me. I just wanted to tell you thank you for everything last night. I’m sure it wasn’t how you expected to spend your evening. I’m sure by now you know Y/N was in an abusive relationship with a guy named Robert. She ended it with him and he came back. I feel so guilty for not doing everything I could to get him away from her. He didn’t start out hitting her. Then she’d show up with bruises and marks. Her late husband, Josh, would never have laid his hands on her.”
Jensen sat there listening and taking in everything she was saying. “So how did Josh pass?” Jensen finally asked. “When Jazzy was almost 2 he got hurt in an accident at work and was killed. I didn’t think Y/N would ever recover. He was the love of her life. She got so depressed and lonely we thought we were going to lose her too. Then one day we showed up and she was up and smiling. I know she was putting on a show for us, but I think eventually she got a little better. It took us forever to convince her to go out on a date, and then she ended up with this jackass.”
“I’m so sorry to hear she lost her husband. I lost my wife when she gave birth to the twins. I’m still not over it completely and I don’t think I ever will be. Is there anything I can do to help Y/N, Jazzy or you?”
“Honestly, you being there for her and Jazzy is great. I’d definitely like to plan that play date. Jazzy is going to need as much support as possible. She’s going to miss Y/N and she won’t understand why she can’t see her.”
“Yeah, I get it. Hopefully she heals quickly enough and Jazzy can see her. I know they are very close.”
After about thirty minutes, Jensen and Nichole parted ways. Nichole was headed to Y/N’s house to get some things for Jazmyne, Jensen was headed to the hospital.
Walking down the cool hallway, the air thick with the unmistakable smell of a hospital, Jensen’s heart pounded in his chest. Since he lost his wife, hospitals always brought back some anxiety. So being here brought it all back.
Jensen stood outside your room for a minute. He took a steady breath and started to open the door when a nurse approached him. “Um excuse me, are you family?” Jensen turned and he saw a flash of recognition in the nurse’s face. “Oh hi, yeah. I’m her boyfriend.”
The nurse’s face flashed with anger and panic. “I don’t think I can let you in her room, sir.” She said looking up at Jensen. Jensen knew what she was thinking, “Oh no ma’am, I’m not the one who did that to her. That was her ex, Robert.” “Still, I need to check with the police officer before I let you in.”
“Yes ma’am, I understand that. I’ll wait here.” Jensen gestured towards the empty chair outside your room. She nodded and walked towards the desk.
Jensen saw her look over at him while she was on the phone. Then he saw her nod and hang up. She walked over, offered an apologetic smile, “Thank you for waiting, Mr. Ackles. You’re cleared to go in. I’m sorry.” Jensen stood and smiled, “No problem ma’am. I appreciate you keeping her safe.”
She nodded and Jensen walked into your room. He took the chair closest to you and reached for your hand. Taking your hand in his, he rubbed soft circles on the back of your hand while he talked to you. “Hey, Y/N. I just want you to know Jazzy is safe. Nichole is keeping her and I’ve told her if they need anything to let me know. They are still looking for Robert. There’s a warrant out for his arrest, so hopefully they catch him soon. I wish I could make all this go away and you and Jazzy were safe. I’m so sorry, sweetheart.”
Without thinking, Jensen stood, leaned over your bed and placed a kiss on your forehead. He felt a pull towards you and it scared him, because he hardly knew you.
You had been in the hospital for a little over a week. It was late at night and Jensen was getting ready for bed when his phone rang. “Hello?” Jensen said cautiously. “Oh hey, Jensen it’s Nichole. I really hate to ask you, but could you watch Jazzy. I just got an emergency phone call from my sister. I have to go out of town for a few days. Y/N has no other family here and I don’t know what to do.”
Jensen immediately said yes. “Yeah, can you bring her over here? The kids are already in bed. I can get her set up in my guestroom for now.” “Oh Jensen, you’re amazing. Thank you. I am so sorry for this. I know you’ve been pulled into this whole situation and now I’m dumping Jazzy off on you.”
“Hey, Nichole, you’re not dumping her off on me. I offered and told you if you needed anything to let me know. I’m fine with it as long as you think Y/N will be too.” “Oh yeah, she would. Can you send me your address? We could be there in less than 30 minutes.” “Yeah, sure. The gate code is 05301202. Just shoot me a text and I’ll make sure I’m downstairs to help you bring her in.” “Thanks, Jensen. See you soon.”
Jensen walked into the guest room and sighed. He had forgotten it was full of boxes and things he needed to donate but hadn’t had time. He didn’t want to wake the twins up so he decided to make a bed on the floor of his room.
A few minutes later he got a text from Nichole that she was there. He went downstairs and opened the door. She was carrying Jazzy, who was sleeping in her arms. “Want me to take her?” He asked. Nichole shook her head. Jensen carefully took the sleeping child out of Nichole’s arms and carried her upstairs. He laid her down on the floor bed and covered her up.
Walking back downstairs he helped Nichole bring in Jazzy’s things.
“Jensen, thank you again for helping. I wasn’t sure what I was going to do. My flight leaves in about an hour so I can’t stay long. Please keep me updated on everything with Y/N. I’ve already called the hospital and told them to contact you with any updates. I’ll be in and out of the hospital back home helping and dealing with my grandmother.” Jensen placed his hand on Nichole’s arm, “It’s fine, you go take care of your family, I’ve got your girls. I promise.” She hugged Jensen and then left.
Jensen crept upstairs and checked on all the kids before crawling into bed. He heard Jazzy’s soft snores and occasional whimper. His heart hurt for her. He knew she missed her mom. His children would do the same thing in their sleep, especially around special days, like birthdays or Mother’s Day.
Jensen finally fell asleep after having his mind race for what felt like forever. When his alarm went off he carefully got up and looked over at Jazmyne. She was still sleeping, and curled into a ball. He grabbed his stuff and tiptoed to the bathroom to get ready.
As he came out he saw the little girl stir awake. Her eyes wide, taking in the room. “Mommy?” Her little voice filled the quiet room. “Hey Jazzy, Auntie Nichole had to bring you here. She had an emergency. You’re going to stay with me, Arrow, Zeppy and JJ until your mommy is better.” She looked at Jensen and nodded. “Like a sleepover?” She asked. Jensen smiled softly, “Yeah, sweetie, like a sleepover.”
A few hours later Jensen found himself back at the hospital sitting beside your bed. The nurses would come in and check on you and him. He would tell them he was fine and didn’t need anything when they asked. Finally the doctor came in and Jensen was out of his chair. He extended his hand, “Hello Dr. Fitzpatrick. It’s good to see you this morning. How’s she healing?” Jensen asked as he gestured to you. “Good morning Mr Ackles, she seems to be healing. We are going to draw some blood this morning and do some scans. See if she’s healed enough to start taking her off the sedation medication.” “That sounds perfect, thank you doctor.”
The nurse came in and drew some blood while Jensen watched on. He sent Nichole a text to check on her and let her know what the doctor said. She didn’t respond yet, so he figured she was busy. He hoped the next time he sent her a text it was to let her know you were awake and okay.
Jensen waited in the room for you to return from the tests. A few hours had passed and they were finally bringing you back in. He had been talking to Jared off and on all day. Jensen even called Clif to get some advice on how to keep you and Jazzy protected.
He was on the phone with Jared when the technician was wheeling you back in. “Yeah, she’s back now. Hang on a sec, Jar.” The tech told Jensen the doctor would review all the tests and be in shortly to go over it. Jensen nodded and thanked him.
“Well that sounds promising, I hope she’s going to be okay. Are you leaving soon to get the kids?” Jared asked. “Yeah. I’ll leave in about an hour. I hope the doctor is here before then.” “Hey, Jensen, why don’t we bring the kids over and we can all eat dinner and the kids can play together. I think that would be good for Jazmyne and you won’t be alone.” “That sounds great, Jar. What can I do or buy?” “Nothing, Gen and I will take care of everything.” “Okay, thanks brother.” “Yeah, no problem, and if you need us to grab the kids we can.” “Okay, thanks. Talk to you soon.”
Jensen sat beside your bed, holding your hand. He watched your chest rise and fall, and listened to the steady beep of the machines. Jensen felt drawn to you. It confused but excited him. He’d never felt an instant connection with someone, an instant need to protect them. Like he does with you. Even with his late wife it took him a while to open up.
There was a soft knock on the door that pulled Jensen out of his thoughts. It was Dr. Fitzpatrick. “Good afternoon Mr. Ackles. So I’ve reviewed her blood work and the scans we took. There isn’t any internal bleeding, no injuries to her brain and her ribs and other broken bones are starting to heal. I don’t see why we can’t start bringing her out of sedation. We can start the process immediately. She still has a long road to recovery, and will need to stay here at least another day or two, but I believe she’s going to be okay.”
Jensen smiled, stood and shook the doctor’s hand. He called Jared and told him what the doctor said, “Jar, I really want to be here. Do you or Gen mind grabbing the kids from school. I’ll call the headmaster and let her know you can get Jazzy too. I really appreciate it man.” “Hey, no problem. I’m glad she’s going to be coming back soon.” “Me too, thanks again Jared.”
Jensen sent Nichole a text to let her know what the doctor said. She replied that she was excited and to give you her love.
Jensen sat right beside you as the sedation medication was removed. They told him it could take a few minutes or a few hours for you to start waking up. He nodded and kept watch.
When you began to stir about an hour later and your eyes started to flutter, Jensen was on the edge of the seat. “Hey, Y/N. That’s right sweetheart, open those eyes for us.” Jensen encouraged.
Your eyes fluttered open and confusion began to fill you. Your voice was very weak, but you managed to speak. “Jjjensen, what are you doing here?” He stepped closer to you and placed his hand on your shoulder, “Hey, Y/N. I’m so glad you’re awake. You’ve been missed.” “How long have I been out?” “Over a week, but don’t worry Jazzy has been well taken care of. Nichole had a family emergency so I offered to take her. The twins have loved having her at the house.”
Tears filled your eyes, “Why are you being so kind to us?” “Because that’s what you do when someone needs help.” Jensen smiled gently at you. “So, Y/N, how are you feeling?” “I’m very sore, and just heartbroken. I can’t believe I let him in our lives. My sweet girl had to see some of the abuse. I’m so stupid and weak. I didn’t want to be alone anymore, so I allowed this monster into our lives. How do I keep her safe when I can’t keep myself safe?”
“You tell her that some people are just mean and those people will try and find your weakness. You work like hell to protect yourself, and when you can’t, you lean on those that can. You tell her that there are more kind people in this world than there are mean ones. Those are the people she needs to surround herself with. People like her mother. People who would do anything to keep her safe and protect her from evil. No matter what. Y/N, you’re not weak or stupid for letting someone like Robert in your life. You’re human, and Jazzy will see that. Above all she will see your strength, the strength to make him leave and then fight like hell to survive and stay here for her.”
Your tears were flowing down your face at Jensen’s words. When he took your hand in his, and wiped away your tears, you leaned into his touch. He was so kind and gentle. Everything you’d heard he was.
The next few days you had to stay in the hospital were brutal. You’d asked Jensen not to bring Jazzy to see you there. You didn’t want her to see you weak and hooked up to things. He kept her at his house and you got to FaceTime her at night.
The last night of your hospital stay you were feeling excited to leave, but even more nervous. You’d be going home, and Robert was still out of jail. The police hadn’t been able to track him down and that scared you. Jensen assured you that you and Jazzy would be safe.
After your FaceTime call with Jazzy, you settled in to try and sleep. Jensen was busy getting all four kids ready for bed. The twins and Jazzy were running around and playing, while JJ was picking out the book for the night.
After baths, brushed teeth, and pajamas, Jensen had all four kids pile in his bed so he could read.
After the story was over Zep asked when Y/N was coming home. “Well, she gets to go home tomorrow. I know she’s really excited about it.” “Daddy, since Jazzy lives here now is her mommy coming here too?” Zeppelin asked with his big eyes twinkling. “No, Zeppy. Jazzy doesn’t live here. She’s just been staying here.” All four children’s faces hung in sadness. Jensen chuckled, “Oh come on guys, you knew Jazzy was just staying here while her mommy was getting better.” “We know daddy, but we want her to stay forever.” Arrow added to the conversation. Jensen sighed, “Okay guys, we will talk about this later. It’s time for bed. Come on.”
The kids got into their beds and fell asleep quickly. Jensen sent you a text.
Jensen: Hey, the kids are asleep, they were upset Jazzy isn’t going to live here forever. 😂
You: Hey, that’s funny. Maybe we can schedule playdates and sleepovers if that’s okay with you. I know Jazzy would love it.
Jensen: I was thinking the same thing. 😀
You: Good. I owe you so much for taking care of her and being here for me.
Jensen: No you don’t. If I was in the same situation I have no doubt you would do the same thing.
You: Oh absolutely. I adore your children. They are so sweet and kind to Jazzy.
Jensen: I’ve definitely tried. It’s been hard, but I’ve had some great support.
You: That’s amazing. So can I ask you something?
Jensen: Sure
You: If I’m out of line or you’re uncomfortable, just tell me, okay?
Jensen: Of course.
You: After your wife passed away how long was it until you started dating again?
Jensen: I went on a few dates, I’d say about 2 years after she died. Nothing worked out, but that doesn’t mean I’m not open to it. My focus is on the kids, so if it happens it happens.
You: I understand that. Robert was the first guy I dated since Josh died. I was scared to let someone in, and now I’m sitting in the hospital because of him.
Jensen: I get that, but you can’t let him ruin your chance at happiness again. You and Jazzy deserve to be loved and taken care of.
You: Thank you, Jensen. So do you and your beautiful children.
Jensen: Thank you. I’ll come pick you up from the hospital tomorrow when you get released and take you home if you want me to.
You: I appreciate that, Jensen. I could always take an Uber to get home.
Jensen: Absolutely not. I’ll pick you up and drive you wherever you want to go.
You: Okay, well I’ll see you in the morning. Good night, Jensen.
Jensen: See you tomorrow, and good night, Y/N. Sweet dreams.
You: Sweet dreams, Jensen.
Jensen put his phone down and climbed into bed. He looked down at the little girl sleeping on the makeshift bed and smiled softly. His heart warmed thinking about her and her mother being in his and his children’s lives. The two of you were already starting to mean something to him. He couldn’t shake the feeling, the need to protect both of you, to be with you.
Jensen laid down and sleep finally washed over him. About 3am he was startled awake by the sound of crying. He leaped out of bed and found Jazmyne crying in her sleep. She woke up, saw Jensen and leaped in his arms.
Jensen sat on the floor holding her and rubbing her head while he rocked her. “Shhh, Jazzy. It’s okay. You’re safe.”
Jazmyne’s hands clung to his shirt and her face was buried in his chest. She continued crying and whimpered out “mommy”. Jensen’s heart broke.
“Mommy’s okay, baby girl. She’s going to come home tomorrow and she can’t wait to see you.” Jazmyne shook her head no. Jensen was a little confused, “What’s no, baby girl?” “I not go home. Mommy not go home. He hurt mommy there.” It made sense to Jensen. She was scared to go back home because that’s where Robert had been when he hurt you.
“Shh, baby. I promise you I will keep you and mommy safe.” Jensen said as he rocked the scared little girl. She clung to his shirt and wouldn’t let go. He tried to lay her down on her bed and she cried and held on tighter. He stood, holding her close and laid her down on his bed. He grabbed her stuffy and handed it to her, and laid down. As he got comfortable, Jazmyne curled up beside him. Soon her soft snores filled the room. Jensen drifted back to sleep.
The next day after Jensen got the kids to school, he arrived at the hospital to wait for you to be released. “Good morning, sweetheart.” Jensen said as he walked into your room. You looked up, smiled and said, “Good morning to you too. Here to bust me out?” You chuckled. “Absolutely.” Jensen flashed his killer smile.
The nurse came in not long after Jensen arrived. She unhooked your IV and the cardio machine. “Go ahead and get dressed, and I’ll get your discharge paperwork together.” You nodded and Jensen stepped to the side of the bed. “Let me help you up.” He said offering you his hand.
You took his hand and as you stood, you stumbled and he caught you. Looking up into his eyes your breath hitched and you bit your lip. Feeling your heart beat wildly in your chest. You steadied yourself and thanked him softly. He nodded as you walked into the bathroom.
You looked in the mirror and saw your battered and bruised face and body. Oh my god. Look at me. Get it together Y/N, there is no way that gorgeous man out there could ever look at you in any way other than a friend, especially now.
You tried to push the thoughts of wanting to kiss Jensen out of your head and get dressed. Your body was in so much pain and covered in bruises, it hurt to even breathe. You wondered how you’d be able to take care of Jazzy, especially with Nichole out of town. You took a deep breath, you knew you’d figure it out.
About an hour and half later you and Jensen were at your house. You had no idea what you’d find when you got there, but you were surprised to find out that after the police finished with their investigation Nichole came and cleaned up the house for you.
Jensen helped you to the couch and you sat down. He could tell something was bothering you, but didn’t want to push. Then your tears started to fall.
Jensen pulled you in his arms, “Shhh, it’s okay. You’re okay. You and Jazzy are safe. I promise. I’ll keep you two safe.” You leaned back and looked at Jensen, his green eyes scanning you. He cupped your face and wiped your tears away. You leaned into his touch.
Without any thought you leaned forward and placed a soft kiss on his lips. When your brain finally caught up to what you were doing you quickly pulled away. Flush filled your cheeks, “Oh my god, I’m so sorry Jensen. I don’t know what came over me.”
You started to get off the couch but he touched your hand, “No, Y/N, please don’t go. That was fine. You have nothing to be sorry about.” His hand on your arm felt so good. You looked at him, sat back down and apologized again.
“Jensen, you’ve been nothing but kind to me and Jazzy. I’m sorry if I put you in an awkward position. I really don’t know what came over me.” Jensen leaned forward, his eyes flicked between your lips and eyes. You leaned forward until your lips ghosted each other’s. Jensen closed the rest of the distance and kissed you. His hand tangled into your hair as he deepened the kiss. Jensen’s tongue ran across your lips, asking for entrance. You parted your lips and your tongues began an intricate dance of dominance.
You moaned into the kiss and felt fire ignite in your body. You hadn’t had a kiss like this since Josh. When the need for air became too much, the two of you pulled away. “Wow.” Was all Jensen could say. You smiled and nodded. As he started to lean back in to kiss you there was a knock at the door.
Jensen groaned and stood to answer it. He looked back at you and smiled before he opened the door. You smiled back, but as soon as he opened the door your smile was replaced by a look of horror.
Jensen turned to look at the person at the door as you said, “Robert.”

A Sweet Mishap - Chapter 26
Pairing - Jensen Ackles x Reader
A/N: I just want to start by thanking everyone for all the love on this story so far. Let me know if you want to be added to the tag list. I'm so sorry for being MIA - been a bit held up on the writing (so I may drop back to one chapter a week for a little while), but hopefully, I can get ahead again quickly and return to normal soon. But this is a longer one so I hope that makes up for it. Anyways, please heed the TW below and only read if you feel comfortable - otherwise I hope you enjoy!
Potential Trigger Warnings: mentions of violence, rape,

─── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ───
It’s just past two in the morning when I wake up drenched in sweat with my heart racing. I feel a hand on my arm and I instantly recoil into the pillows as close to the headboard as I can get. As my eyes slowly adjust to the sudden brightness of the room I see Jensen kneeling in front of me in a plain black henley and sweatpants with his hands up in surrender.
“It was just a nightmare. It’s to be expected. You’re safe.”
I wipe at my wet cheeks. “I’m sorry.”
“Hey, it’s okay. I would’ve been surprised if you weren’t having nightmares. I expected this, that’s why I wanted you to be here. So, at least you wouldn’t wake up alone.”
He reaches over to the far bedside table and grabs a water bottle. He breaks the seal and holds it out to me. I take it and a take a few small sips. He watches me intently to make sure I’m okay. I slowly relax, put the water bottle to the side and lay back down on my side. He moves to climb off the bed. “C-Can you stay? I-I don’t want to b-be alone.”
“Of course.” He crawls up to the top of the bed and sits beside me. His arms crossed over his chest as he leans against the headboard. I try to close my eyes but I instantly flash back to being crushed into my couch. He senses me jump and places one hand on my shoulder. “Tell me about your time in Texas. That white horse.”
I look up at him and his eyes are closed. The guilt at keeping him up comes rushing back. He continues, “Snowball, right? Did you rear her from a foal?”
I nod. “I-I wanted a pony, but my dad said no. We, uh, we always had horses but they were all so big and I was scared of them. So I begged him to get me a pony. But then one of our mares got pregnant. Starla. She was a beautiful horse, black with white speckles. I loved her too. Generally, my dad would sell the foals to keep numbers down but my birthday was coming up around the time she was due and she actually did end up giving birth on my birthday. So, my dad let me name her and said she was mine. Of course, I had just turned 10 so my dad did most of the work, but I did come down and check on her daily and brushed her. And as she got bigger and older I learned to ride on her. She was such a well mannered horse, thanks to my dad. Once I got confident, I used to ride her all the time. Whenever I was mad at my parents or friends, or stressed about finals, I’d just get on and ride her into the hills. I miss it.”
As I tell him, I picture myself on her back amongst the trees in a forestry behind my childhood home. The wind in my hair, the warm sunlight on my skin. I start to relax.
The bed is empty when I wake up. I stretch, feeling slightly better. On the end of the bed is a pair of thick blue jeans, and a black long sleeved shirt and socks that I don’t recognise. I get out of bed and slip into the ensuite to shower and then change into the outfit. That’s when I spot a pair of black riding boots. My jaw drops. I rush out to the living room in search of Jensen, still with my hairbrush in hand. “Jensen, what is all this?”
He runs his eyes over my body as he saunters over to me. “Good mornin’ beautiful. It’s the break you need.”
“But…Work and my classes and broadway.”
“It’ll just be a couple of hours. We’ll be back in time for you to go to your afternoon class and for tonight’s show. And you’ve got the day off.”
“But my rent and bills and…”
He places his hand on my cheek softly to make me look up at him. “You have a doctor’s certificate, it’s all paid. It’s all handled. Just let me look after you. I leave tomorrow, it’s all I could get, so just let me have today.”
I take a step back. “Wait…How’d you know I have class this afternoon?”
“I asked Stella for your schedule. Sorry, I should’ve asked you, but I just…I’m sorry if I overstepped.”
“No, it’s okay. It just-”
“I understand. I just wanted to know so I could make plans before you woke up. Plans that can be cancelled if you really don’t want to, but I think you’ll enjoy it and that you need it.”
I nod and finish brushing my hair before securing it back in a low braid, slipping on the boots and then following Jensen downstairs to the car.
Less than an hour later we’re walking hand-in-hand into a large stable. A wave of nostalgia hits me as I breathe in the smells – they’re not exactly pleasant but to me it’s home. None of the horses are white like my beautiful mare, but they’re all beautiful in their own way. As we’re taking it all in, a lady with short brown hair, blue eyes and dressed similar to myself just with a little extra dirt approaches us.
“Welcome to our stables! You must be Jensen and Y/N. My name is Mia and I’ll be your guide today. Let’s go meet the horses and get them all saddled up.”
She leads us over to the stables one by one introducing us to each horse and letting us pet them. She pairs me up with a sweet and gentle, tan and white patched mare and helps me saddle her up while Jensen gets a larger black stallion. Once our horses are saddled and we clip on our helmets we climb onto our horses backs and trot out of the stable side-by side with Mia out slightly infront on a slightly younger and more unruly brown stallion. As I look over at Jensen the sight of him on horseback makes my breath catch. He winks at me and I blush as I turn to look ahead at Mia.
She leads us through a winding trail through the trees to an open field where she lets us have a little more free reign once establishing that we’re both seasoned riders. He speeds out in front and I chase him. My horse handles well and the longer I’m on her back the more at ease and at home I feel. That’s when I realize why I feel so at ease with Jensen. Unlike Travis and Tyler who took me away from my home, Jensen keeps bringing home to me. As I slow to a trot, he turns his horse to come back over to me with a smile.
“You okay?” he asks once he gets close.
I nod. “Better than. Thank you for continually making me feel at home.”
“Anytime. I know what it’s like to miss home. I spend more time in my trailer in Vancouver or on a plane or in foreign hotel rooms than I do in my house in Austin or with my parents in Dallas. Home is where your heart is. Once you realise that, anywhere is home. It’s just about finding those experiences.”
He rides his horse up so he’s next to me before leaning over and kissing my cheek. He’s gone before I can react or protest. He rides off, leaving me to chase after him again. As the sun beats down on us, we finally get the first taste of spring. Everything else falls away and it’s just the two of us riding together and I can’t help but imagine a future like this, with him. No insecurities, no fear, no traumatic past, just me and him finding home together in different cities.
We make it back just in time for my classes, but I can’t seem to focus on any of my notes. My head is still in that field on that horse with Jensen. I’m honestly just going through the motions as I copy down the notes from the board and even during the show. I only finally come back to reality when I get in the car with Jensen at the end of the night. He wraps an arm around my shoulders and pulls me to his chest as we ride in comfortable silence back to the hotel.
On his couch he reminds me of the early morning with him flying out. That’s when my mom texts me, reminding me that they’re also arriving bright and early tomorrow. It’s perfect timing really because now I can see him off before going back to my apartment with my parents and I won’t have to be alone. As it gets late we both take turns to shower and then lay down in the large king-size bed together. He initially leaves space between us, but I snuggle close in search of comfort. In the back of my mind, I know I’m falling fast and hard again, but I can’t make myself stop. I’m too far gone. As I rest my head on his chest, he places his hand on my arm.
Eventually I cut through the darkness, “When do you finish filming?”
“The end of March. What about broadway?”
“Same. How d’you feel about Summer in Texas?”
“I can’t think of anything better. Do I get to see you in that dress?”
“Maybe…”
“Let’s work towards that then. But for now, get some sleep, beautiful. And if you have any nightmares I’ll be right here.”
“Good night, Jensen.” I snuggle into his embrace and let my eyes fall closed as I relive the morning until I drift off.
I get through the night without any nightmares, but I’m not convinced that’s the last of the other night’s ordeal. I still have to tell Anna afterall and when that happens I know they’ll return. I quickly pack my few things back into the bag that Stella brought over for me while Jensen shoves everything into his backpack. Despite being the first time we’ve ever done this, it feels like a well-oiled machine. I smile over at him as we each zip up our bags. Within seconds his hands are around my waist. I let myself get swept up in the passion, feeling safe and at home in his hold.
“I’m gonna miss you,” he says.
“Me too. Thank you.”
“Anytime, Darlin’. Come on, Clif’s waiting. I’m gonna be in so much trouble if I miss this flight.” He throws his bag over his shoulder and takes my hand. The ride to the airport is tense. Neither of us are ready to say goodbye. I can tell he’s still worried about me, while I’m worried about being without him and what it means to be with him. With his sweet talking, he gets me into the VIP lounge to wait with him until either his flight leaves or my parents’ arrives. We both have a coffee and some light pastries while we wait. I’m convinced that despite the early morning there’ll be photos to contend with later, but with Jensen in this with me, I let the anxiety wait.
When they call for boarding he pulls me in for a quick hug before standing up and making his way towards the boarding gate.
As he hands over his ticket I call out, “Call me when you get there!”
He turns and nods briefly before boarding. I wave until I can’t see him anymore. I wipe away a stray tear as I make my way to the gate where my parents’ will be collecting their bags once they land. I distract myself by going over some of the readings on my phone for the classes that I’ve been neglecting.
Once they finally arrive and collect their bags, we hail a cab back to my apartment and my dad pays the driver.
I wake up to the sound of my phone ringing. Groggily, I reach over and answer it, my heart skipping a beat when I hear Jensen's voice on the other end.
“Good afternoon,” he says softly. “I just landed. I wanted to let you know I made it back safe and sound.”
A smile tugs at my lips as I sit up, suddenly wide awake. “Hey, Thanks.”
“Shouldn’t you be with your parents or getting ready for work?”
“Yeah, good timing. They’re out being tourists, but yeah, I gotta work soon. How was the flight?”
“Uneventful,” he chuckles. “But now that I'm back, I wish I could teleport back to you. I already miss you.”
I can't help but blush at his words, feeling a warmth spreading through my chest. “I miss you too,” I admit shyly. There's a brief pause on the line before I speak again, “I should let you go. I have to go to work anyways. Thanks for the wake up call and for letting me know you got back safe.”
“Have a good day. Don’t over work yourself.”
I smile as I hang up and jump off the couch where I fell asleep to rush around to get ready for work.
After my shift, I spend the little time I have between that and the show to I move out of my room to let them have the queen-sized bed while I take the couch. Despite the bad memories, it’s the best option. I just hope that with them around I’ll feel better.
One of the first things my mom notices is the now-wilted roses sticking out of the top of the bin. “Did Stella and Nick get you those for your debut? I know roses are the done thing. We wanted to send you something but we thought we would come here instead. I’m sorry we couldn’t make last weekend.”
I try to avoid the question, “You’re here now. That’s what matters.”
As she takes a seat at the bench she sees the card and being the curious and border-line nosy mother that she is, opens it. “J? That one of your co-stars?”
“Uh…No. He’s the guy a told you about…from Texas.”
“The movie star? This mean you’re putting yourself out there again?”
“I guess…Maybe…” I look at the roses and blush. “He’s great guy, but it’s a complicated situation. He works in Canada and I’m just getting my shot on broadway.”
“He works in Canada and flew back here for the show?”
“Yeah…It was a surprise.”
“Sounds like you might finally have a winner on your hands. Someone who’s willing to fly to you rather than making you move for them. Eventhough I know New York is where you want to be now…The move was never really your choice, was it?”
“Yeah. I hope so…We haven’t known each other long, but I think I like him, Mom.”
She rounds the island to pull me in for a hug. “I’m glad to finally see you happy, especially after that call about wanting to throw it all in and come home. You’re so strong and it’s finally your time to shine. Of course I wish you never went through such dark times but it’s all so far in the past now. I’m so proud of you.”
“Thanks, Mom.” My dad then comes and joins, wrapping his arms around both of us. He missed the whole conversation since he was busy setting up their bags and using the bathroom, but I can tell from his squeeze that he shares her sentiments.
When I go to the theater they stay back to relax after the long flight and from walking around the city. But they go to the show the next night and then out for the most New York-style food we can find; New-York-Style Pizza, hot dogs, cheesecake, and bagels. While I work, they take the chance to sightsee around the city. It’s not the first time they’ve visited since I’ve lived alone in New York, but there’s always more to see.
After waking them up with my yelling from a nightmare, I end up recounting the terrible tale of the attack. It’s hard to tell them and for them to hear, but they provide support and help me through yet another bad boy experience. Despite what I expect, my mom doesn’t pressure me to come home. She just encourages me to talk with Anna and lean on Stella and stop letting the actions of bad guys dictate the state of my life. I can’t help but smile at the similarity to Jensen’s sentiments. Just knowing I have people on my side makes me feel more confident and at peace. My dad offers to take the couch, despite my protests and his bad back, while my mom and I share my bed.
We talk until I can fall back asleep. I end up telling her more about Jensen and how he helped my through the days until they got here. I tell her about the horse riding and the Texas Barbecue and how everything he does is to make me feel more at home. She tells me he sounds like a good man, but to be cautious, because we thought the same of Travis and Tyler in the beginning, and insists to meet him one day. So, I tell her about our plans to spend summer in Texas and promise that if those plans eventuate, then I’ll bring him home with me.
The rest of their trip flows quickly and we’re all a little disappointed that I don’t get to spend more time with them over the few days that they’re in the city, but they understand I can’t afford to take anymore time off or skip any of my classes. They insist that I come home during the summer at least for a little while, regardless of whether the plans work out with Jensen, and promise to buy the tickets for me if he doesn’t. And once their seemingly whirlwind visit comes to an end all too soon, I catch an Uber to the airport with them to see them off.
Once they’re on the plane I go back to Stella’s place, ready to face the music and tell Anna everything. I’ve already left it way longer than I should. I sit down on the couch with her and slowly and carefully explain everything: what happened, why I haven’t been around, why it took me so long to tell her. She seems to understand and accept everything I tell her. While her first instinct is to go back to him to stop him from hurting anyone else, I try to persuade her that it would be more beneficial for her to go to the police and corroborate my story. Whether any charges will stick, they at least have a better chance if she’s willing to share her story. She agrees and so we both go to the police station together before my class. I sit in the waiting area while she talks to the same detective I did. She’s in the room for a long time, but it’s to be expected, I imagine she has a lot to tell.
When Anna finally emerges from the interview room, she looks drained but determined. She tells me that she's given a statement, and the detective seems to believe her. I pull her into a hug, and there’s a changed energy and understanding between us. We both know we’re forever changed and bonded through this experience, but as I pull back and look at her, we silently agree to help each other through it. And for the first time in a long time, I feel like everything is gonna be okay. Despite everything, I know I have people on my side that want to help me, and someone that I know I can help. We catch the next available subways in opposite directions, she goes back to Stella’s while I go to class.

A/N- I’m sorry for this chapter, but I’m not lol
Y/N and Jensen had been settled into their home in Austin for a few days. Everything had gone well after the little argument about her apartment, all that forgotten. She was in the kitchen drinking her morning coffee, looking over emails and trying to finish up the little details for the con they were leaving for in two days.
Other than her doctor’s appointment later that morning, and Jensen going to pick up the kids, this was the last thing on the to-do list. They could relax and enjoy the next couple of days with the kids and each other. She was still engrossed in her phone when he walked into the kitchen, pouring himself a cup of coffee and walking over to sit beside her, making her jump.
“Damn it, Jay. You’re always scaring me,” she groaned.
“It’s not my fault that you don’t pay attention to your surroundings,” he chuckled, leaning in to kiss her.
“Fair point. I’m trying to get the last of the con details ironed out before I leave, so we can just enjoy the next few days with the kids, and I won’t be distracted.”
“How’s that going?” he asked, sipping on his drink, laying his hand on her thigh with a light squeeze.
“One more email to send, and I’m done. Other than my appointment later, we’re all set to chill now,” she smiled up at him.
“And this is to have your birth control changed?”
"Not changed, per se, but replaced. I have the implant in my arm. It has to be replaced every three years, so I’m having it done before the con season.”
“Damn. Doesn’t that hurt?” he winced, thinking about what they had to do to get the implant in her arm.
“It’s not pleasant, but that’s what needs to be done,” she shrugged.
“Men have it so easy,” he huffed, thinking about everything he didn’t have to go through that women did.
“You got that right, Ackles,” she laughed.
“I’m sorry.”
“Why are you apologizing, Jay?” she asked curiously.
“It just sucks what you have to go through to not have a kid. I don’t like the thought of that thing in your arm hurting you.”
“It’s fine, babe. It’s really not that bad. It will be sore for a few days but a lot less painful than childbirth,” she giggled when he nodded his head in agreement.
“Pregnancy didn’t seem too fun, either. I remember Dee throwing up a lot and saying how bad her back, feet, and pretty much everything else hurt.”
“Yeah, doesn’t sound like a good time,” she agreed.
“Well, what time do you have to leave?”
“In about twenty minutes,” she said, glancing at the time on her phone.
“Okay. I’ll just wait on you to get back before I go get the kids, and you can go with me,” he said, then shook his head, “That’s if you’ll feel like going. It’s okay if you don’t.”
“I’ll be fine, Jay. It’s not like I’m having major surgery or anything,” she giggled, kissing him quickly before she stood.
“Fine. I worry about you, ya know?”
“I know you do, and that’s just one of the many reasons I love you,” she winked, kissing him once more, “I have to go get dressed. I’ll be back soon. I love you.”
“I love you too, honey. I’ll be here waiting when you get back.”
“I’m holding you to it,” she pointed at him with a smirk.
“I wouldn’t expect any less, my love,” he scoffed, rolling his eyes playfully.
“They’re going to get stuck in your head like that,” she yelled in a sing-song voice as she walked away.
“Go get ready and get the hell out of here, would ya?”
“I’m going, I’m going,” she cackled, Jensen joining her, not able to fight it anymore.
Y/N was lying on the uncomfortable table in the exam room waiting on the doctor. She’d already been checked in, peed in a cup, and all the things they make you go through at the gynecologist. Now it was a waiting game for the doctor to come in, confirm she’s not pregnant, and then take out the implant and insert the new one. She wanted to get it over with so she could get back home to Jensen, and they could go get the kids. She loved when they were there with them. It was always a great time laughing and playing. The knock at the door made her sit up, seeing her doctor walk in.
“Hey, doc. Let’s get this show on the road,” she laughed. She had a great relationship with her doctor and had known her for years.
“Uh, Y/N, I need you to have an ultrasound first,” Dr. Williams said with no hint of a smile on her face.
“Why? What’s wrong?” she asked, scared that she had an anomaly with her lab tests.
“Your pregnancy test came back positive.”
“What?! That’s impossible. It has to be a lab error. I’m not late coming in to have this replaced.”
“It’s a rare possibility, but not impossible. It’s not likely, but I want to do an ultrasound to make sure. If not, then we need to figure out what’s wrong with your hormones.”
“Then let’s do it. Don’t make me panic for no reason longer than I have to,” she grumbled.
“Y/N, there is a minimal chance that you’re pregnant. But, it’s almost a certainty that it will be ectopic. It’s so very rare to have an actual intrauterine implanting on the implant.”
“Well, if it’s an ectopic pregnancy, I need to get it taken care of ASAP. We leave in two days for the convention season.”
“Okay, well, let’s see what’s happening.”
Dr. Williams sat beside her, getting the wand and gel, squirting it on Y/N’s lower abdomen, and bringing the wand down to start scanning. Y/N held her breath as she watched her doctor’s face, looking for any sign on her facial features that something was wrong. Unfortunately, she had a superb poker face and wasn’t showing any emotion on her face as she continued to move the instrument around on Y/N’s stomach. After what seemed like an eternity, Dr. Williams turned to face her and sighed.
“Y/N, I’m sorry to tell you this, but you’re pregnant.”
“Okay, well, how quick can you remove it out of the tube? It’s not a major surgery, is it?”
“No, uh, it’s not ectopic, Y/N. It’s an actual intrauterine pregnancy. From the looks of it, you’re around nine weeks along.”
“No! That can’t be right. There’s no way!”
“I know it’s a shock. But, listen,” Dr. Williams said softly, hitting a button and a loud rhythmic sound filling the room, “That’s the baby’s heartbeat.”
It was like a tidal wave of feelings rushed over her. She was shocked into silence as she listened to her baby’s heart. Her baby. She never thought this would ever be an experience she would have, never thinking she wanted kids. But, now, hearing that beautiful sound, she’s never wanted anything so bad in her life. She realized she had never wanted kids because she had never loved a man like she loved Jensen, and that meant everything.
Tears slid down her cheeks as the doctor pointed out the baby’s heart on the screen. She didn’t know how she would break it to Jensen, but she knew that it would all be okay in the end. He loved her, and after the initial shock wore off, he would be happy too.
“Here,” the doctor handed her a few prints of the ultrasound, “Come back and see me in six weeks, so we can keep a check on the little one. Now, we have to get that implant out.”
Y/N was a nervous wreck as she walked into the house. She knew she had to tell him, and she knew he would be shocked, but she hoped after a little while, he’d be okay. He had said on numerous occasions that he didn’t want any more kids, but sometimes life throws you a curveball, and you just have to go with it. He was sitting at the island in the kitchen, and she took a deep breath in preparation for the conversation they had to have. Her breath alerted him to her presence.
“Hey, honey. How’d it go?”
“Well, not as expected…,” she mumbled.
“What? What’s wrong, baby? Talk to me.”
“Jay, I don’t know how to say this, so I’m just going to say it bluntly,” she sighed, squaring her shoulders and looking him in the eye, “I’m pregnant.”
The silence was eerie as he stared at her as if he was waiting on her to say it was a joke. The longer he looked at her, she could see the realization set in on his face, but she wasn’t prepared for what was coming next.
“What the fuck, Y/N?!” he yelled, making her jump back, “How in the hell did this happen?!”
“Do you have to ask that question?” she huffed, “We had sex, Jay, and now I’m pregnant.”
“No shit! I’m not an idiot. I meant, how did you get pregnant when you were supposed to be on birth control?”
“Supposed to be? What are you trying to imply? That I lied about having the implant?” she replied angrily, pissed off that he would even imply something like that.
“That’s not what I said, damn it.”
“Sure sounds like that’s what you’re trying to say.”
“Don’t put words in my mouth, Y/N. You know what I meant. How did you get pregnant on birth control?!”
“I don’t know! It’s rare for it to happen. Nothing is one hundred percent effective, though. I know you’re in shock right now, so I’m not going to be upset at your reaction, but we have to talk about this.”
“What do you want me to say? I told you I don’t want more kids, Y/N!”
“I didn’t either, damn it!”
“Wait. Didn’t or don’t, two different meanings there…,” he glared at her, his emotions taking over completely.
“Didn’t….”
“Fuck, Y/N! I thought we agreed on this. No kids! Now you’re changing your mind? What the hell?”
“I heard the heartbeat, and…,” she began to speak, but he interrupted her.
“Heartbeat or not, I don’t want more kids! How much plainer do I have to be?”
“Well, too late for that now, huh?” she quipped, getting angrier by the minute.
“Yeah, I guess it is,” he growled, walking away to the bedroom.
“Where are you going? We’re still having a conversation!” she yelled at his back.
“Conversations over for now. I need to be alone for a while. And this stays between us.”
“Whatever,” she groaned, “I guess I’ll just sit here and wait on you to finish having this discussion.”
“Yeah, you do that,” he bit back, slamming the bedroom door behind him.
She sank down onto the stool at the island, hanging her head in her hands. She knew he would be shocked, but she didn’t expect him to have that reaction. He had never spoken to her like that in the sixteen years they had known each other, and it broke her heart. She would give him his alone time, but they had to finish having the conversation. She was pregnant, and there was no changing it.
She hadn’t realized how long she had been daydreaming when he walked back into the kitchen, walking past her and to the fridge to get water. She shook her head and looked away, and that’s when she noticed his overnight bag sitting on the living room floor.
“Where are you going? Aren’t you supposed to go get the kids?”
“No. With what’s happened, I don't think it’s a good idea for them to be here while we’re like this.”
“They’re going to be disappointed not to see you. So, if you aren’t getting the kids, what’s the overnight bag for?”
“I’m going to be seeing the kids. I’m going to go stay there with them until I leave for the con.”
“What? I tell you I’m pregnant, you scream and pick a fight with me, and now you’re going to spend the next two days at your ex-wife’s house? Wow,” she scoffed, his words cutting her to the bone.
“Don’t start. I need some time, and I want to see my kids. I love my kids more than anything, and I don’t want anything to get in the way of spending time with them before I’m gone again.”
“You can be a real asshole, you know that?” she hiccupped on the sob building in her throat.
“How’s that?” he huffed, crossing his arms.
“Nevermind. Just go. Spend the next few days at your ex-wife’s house,” she sniffled.
“Quit throwing that up! You knew she was my ex-wife when we got together, and she’s the mother of my kids, for fuck’s sake!”
“And I’m not?!” she shrieked, losing her patience with him, “Oh, I guess she counts because she’s the mother of the kids you actually want.”
“Y/N…,” he growled.
“You’re right. The conversation is over. Go. I’ll see you in Denver.”
“I don’t think that’s a good idea, Y/N.”
“Jensen, I can still travel for quite a while. I’m fine.”
“I know that. I don’t think it’s a good idea for you to go because I need some time away.”
“Are you serious right now?” she whimpered, a tear betraying her and sliding down her cheek.
“I am. It will do us both some good to have time to think,” he sighed, walking over and picking up his bag.
“Okay…,” she agreed, dejected, no more fight left in her at the moment, her heart too broken.
“I’ll be back next week,” he said with a glance at her as he began walking to the door and stopped, “Bye, Y/N.”
The sound of the door closing was the proverbial straw. She sank to the floor in sobs. How had they been so loving and affectionate just this morning, but as soon as something big happened, he walked away. She pulled her knees to her chest as she continued to cry, silently deciding what needed to be done, and it hurt. It hurt so damn bad.
Jensen had made it through the con, but barely. His mind wasn’t in it like usual as all he could think about was Y/N at home and pregnant. Jared and the others could tell something was off with him, but he had kept silent, not wanting to talk about it. Once on the plane, though, Jared wasn’t going to give up until he found out what was plaguing his best friend. He knew Jensen well enough that he could tell something significant was bothering him, and he wanted to get to the bottom of it.
“I’m going to ask you again what’s wrong, and this time, you’re going to tell me the truth,” Jared said, staring at Jensen until he gave in and decided to tell him.
“Fine, but this stays between us. No one else is to find out.”
“Okay, man. What’s going on?”
“Y/N’s pregnant,” he huffed, flopping back against his seat.
“Congratulations, dude!” Jared excitedly gasped, giving him a hug.
“No, not congratulations. You know I don’t want more kids. This isn’t good news.”
“Are you that dumb?”
“What the hell is that supposed to mean?” Jensen asked hatefully, a little pissed Jared called him dumb.
“It means, how in the world are you going to sit here and pout like a little girl when the woman you love is going to have your baby?”
“I already have three kids. Unless you don’t remember,” he groaned, rolling his eyes.
“Yeah, you do. But not with her. Didn’t you consider what that might mean to her?”
“She said she didn’t want kids either, well, until she found out she was pregnant. Now, she’s changed her mind.”
“And what should that tell you?”
“I don’t know, Dr. Phil. What should it tell me?” he griped, starting to get upset again.
“It should show you that she wants to have a baby with the man she loves, and that’s you, you idjit,” Jared laughed, shaking his head at his friend.
“I know she loves me. But, Jared, man, I’ll be in my sixties when this kid graduates high school! I’m too damn old to be having another kid,” he sighed, wanting to end the conversation.
“Do you not realize that the twins aren’t even five yet? It’s not that much more time than it would have been before all your kids were grown, anyway. So, why make such a big deal about it? Is that why she didn’t come to the con? Because she wasn’t feeling well or something?”
“I guess you’ve got a point, man. I’ll talk to her when we get home. And, uh no, she didn’t come because I told her not to. I, uh, told her I needed time away to think.”
“Wow, how did she take that?”
“I don’t know. I left and went to Dee’s for a few days before I came to Denver,” he whispered, starting to feel ashamed at how he acted once he thought back on it.
“You did what?!” Jared asked, utterly shocked at what he heard, “Dude! Please tell me you didn’t make a big deal out of her being pregnant and then left her by herself for almost a week?”
“Shut up.”
“Oh, my God, you did! I bet she had a lot to say when you called her this weekend,” he chided, still not sure what to think about how his friend had reacted.
“I haven’t talked to her since I left.”
“Jay, buddy, you better get off this plane and go straight home and grovel at her feet. I’d be praying she’s still there if I was you.”
“Damn, man. Thanks for the support,” Jensen grumbled.
“I am supporting you! I’m telling you to go fix all this so you don’t lose the best thing that’s happened to you since Dee.”
“Okay, okay. Thanks, dude. Seriously, thinking back, I was an asshole.”
“Maybe a little bit,” Jared chuckled.
Jensen rushed home as soon as the plane landed. He knew he had a lot of begging to do to get her to forgive him. Jared had made him realize that one more kid wasn’t that big of a deal. Not with his youngest being only five years old. It wasn’t like all his kids were grown and now was starting over with a baby.
Once he parked his car in the garage, he flung open the door, in a hurry to get inside and see her. Even though he hadn’t spoken to her since he left, he missed her terribly. Even when they were fighting about her having a baby, he never doubted the love he had for her. He wished he could take it all back, but all he could do now was ask her forgiveness. He didn’t see her in the living room or kitchen, so he ran for the bedroom, but all he saw when he opened the door was an empty room, a piece of paper on the bed.
Jensen,
I’ve had time to think about all of this, and I’m doing what I need to do for the baby and me. I’ve sat here and tried to think of every possible reason why you would talk to me like you did, but I can’t think of anything other than you don’t want our child, and that’s where the problem lies. I’m having this baby, Jay, but I’ll do it alone. Just like you left me when I needed you the most. I was in a relationship with the love of my life, and I’d never felt so alone as I have the last few days. I’ve never been as heartbroken as I was when you left me here in tears. That’s not what a partner does. They are supposed to be here for you no matter what, but I guess I found your hard line. Your key is on the kitchen island, and you can drop my key off with the apartment manager, as I don’t live there anymore. Please don’t look for where I’m at now. Let me go, and let me move on. I’ll love you until the end of my days, Jay, but I can’t stay and have you look at me like I ruined your life like you did before you walked out. And did you notice that you said goodbye and not that you loved me? Well, I did. I’m sorry that it had to end like this, but it’s for the best.
Y/N
Jensen was in tears, having read the letter three times. He couldn’t believe that she had left and refused to tell him where she had gone. He had really fucked it all up. Not only had he lost the woman he loved more than anything, she took their unborn child with her just when he had accepted that he would have another baby. Hell, he had actually started to get excited about it, and now, it was all gone. All because he ran instead of staying and dealing with it. Guess Dean Winchester really was a part of him, and now he was alone and devastated. He grabbed his phone, dialing Jared and waiting on him to answer. When he did, Jensen could only say one thing through his tears.
“You were right, man. I fucked up. She’s gone.”

(This rant is directed at the world at large, not at Anonymous or olderthannetfic.)
No one in that movement thinks of themselves as an anti, but that's what they are: an anti with a different boundary. The moment you're telling someone else what they can or can't write—it doesn't automatically mean you're an anti, but think carefully, you might be one.
Is someone being hurt, in a way they can't avoid? The second part is key.
Probably Jensen Ackles finds it weird and awkward to read fic of himself. He may even feel hurt by some of it—he's a villain in some of them. However, these fics are allowed because he can easily avoid them. He can choose to not read them.
What would be an example of something he couldn't avoid? If a fic gave out his real-life address, this would be an example of an unavoidable harm: even if he does not read the fic, fans may show up at his home.
Back to George Floyd. Who is being protected, and from what harm? I imagine a typical argument would go something like this: People might read the fic, and then bring up something they read in a real-life conversation, thus hurting the feelings of other people in that conversation. Or, more generally and more broadly. . . people might read about X bad thing happening and become convinced that X is okay. (This is the most generous reading I can come up with!)
It's a reasoning that has merit in some contexts. I can see, for example, how being surrounded by violent media might make someone think that violence was exciting or heroic, or how being surrounded by sexist and racist media might cause those insidious ideas to take root.
But be careful here. It's tempting to argue that yes, people might be primed to be more racist based on fanfics, and say that's reason enough to ban them. But the broader your definition of harm, the more swaths of works you'll catch. Loads of people adore fics where alcohol or aphrodisiacs made them do it: they end with the characters professing their love and living happily ever after. No more! Don't want people thinking that consent-under-the-influence is a good thing, do we?
I'm all about the reasoning, the argument, the legal precedent. Because I live in the US where well-meaning laws meant to protect pregnant women were later used to prosecute women for miscarriages. You always, always need to think about who else can use your reasoning, and to what ends. It's not a slippery slope when it's already a slippery flat surface. Brandish a tool, and tomorrow the antis will be wielding it.
The Archive's Terms of Service say about harassment:
Content that advocates specific, real harmful actions towards real people is not allowed. This includes, but is not limited to, death threats and requests for readers to harass specific people.
This is not a comprehensive definition ("includes but not limited to"), but it seems to be taking a narrow definition. It seems to closely match the US FBI's definition of a threat:
If someone communicates any statement or indication of an intention to inflict pain, injury, damage, or other hostile action in an illegal manner, to include in a manner that manipulates the US legal system, that's a threat.
To be considered harassment, it seems to require two parts: "real harmful actions" and "real people". Actual real actions, not stuff happening to them in-fic. Actual real people, not their in-fic characters.
This is an excellent tool: a scalpel that everyone can wield, together. Don't plant a landmine that will blow up in your own face.
I don't know much about #EndOTWRacism, but it makes me wonder, does a fiction must be removed for being "racist"? And is it like edgy offending everyone south park tier jokes or stuff like raceplay kink? Because it also feels like there are going to be people who is very okay with rape and pedophilia in fiction is okay especially when it is taken not seriously, but when you came to "offensive racist stuff" it's suddenly "not about fiction anymore". Though this ask more of about "What makes it okay because it's just fiction" than criticism about the movement.
I kinda understand when the "fiction" in question is a propaganda or the author do have an obvious bad intentions, but I feel like there is a far difference between stonetoss comic and family guy jew jokes compilation

Request: Hey! Can I request a Jensen x reader where reader is pregnant. Plot is like can you write experience in like 3rd or 4th month? Everyday Jensen stays with reader in bathroom when she had morning sickness. Then goes with her for vitamin shots. Reader panics in the doctors room, so doctor lefts so that Jensen will calm her down. He stays with her through full experience, then time gap and direct delivery room experience? Where reader curses Jensen but they have a son and everything's lovey again❤️

***MASTERLIST***
“Okay, calm down Y/n,” you say to yourself as you pace the floor of your bedroom, waiting on Jensen to get there so that you could go to the hospital. Your phone is held out in front of you, the contraction counting app on your phone informing you that your contractions had in the last hour gone from 7 to 10 minutes apart, to 3 to 4 minutes apart.
You had already called your doctor, and they said it was a good idea for you to go ahead and leave for the hospital. The only problem was, Jensen wasn’t there yet, and you were starting to panic.
He was filming late tonight. Even though he said in the text message he’d just sent that he’d be there in 10 minutes, you could feel the worry grip you tight in your chest.
10 minutes…
That’s at least two, maybe three more contractions on your own without him.
They were getting stronger in length and intensity, to the point where you had to breathe through them, and also had to stop your pacing.
You could already feel the beginnings of the next contraction. The uncomfortable tightening in your stomach letting you know it was coming, increasing in discomfort as the contraction peaked.
You tried to remember the breathing exercises you had learned in the birthing classes, and you knew that the contractions were only going to get a lot stronger, that this was just the beginning.
You wanted to try and have a completely natural, drug free delivery.
Well it seemed like a good idea at the time, but as the strongest contraction you have had so far peaked , you were starting to rethink the whole epidural thing.
Picking up your phone as your contraction started to ease up, you pressed the pause button on your phone counter and hurriedly dialed Jensen’s number, needing to hear his voice more than anything else right now. Your anxiety gripped at you tighter and tighter with each passing second.
“Baby, I’m on my way, five more minutes and I’ll be there, just hang tight okay.” Jensen’s voice came through the speaker, calm and deep as always. The man had a resolve of fucking monk, and it got under your skin in ways you couldn’t even describe at the moment.
“That’s not fast enough Jensen! This baby is coming, and I’m here by myself, so fuck you, and don’t you tell me to fucking calm down!” you yell at him through the phone, hormones and adrenaline making you a little more snappy at him then you had ever been in your life.
“Babe, easy, don’t stress out the baby. I will be there in plenty of time. The bags are already packed, and waiting for us in the car, all we have to do is get in it and go. Everything is going to be just fine! Have I ever left you alone throughout this whole pregnancy? You're gonna be just fine sweetheart, I’m almost there.”
He was right, and you knew he was. You instantly felt bad for yelling at him.
He’d been with you through everything.
When the morning sickness didn’t let up in the 3rd month, but instead stretched on in the fourth month he was right there…
-------------------------
Closing the toilet seat you flushed away the evidence of your morning sickness, and leaned your head back against the cool, porcelain of the bathtub next to you, taking deep breaths through your nose, trying to stave off the next wave of nausea that was already pulling at your senses.
“Easy sweetheart, deep breaths,” Jensen said, as he sat down on the tub, running his fingers through your hair, gathering it up and pulling it up into a ponytail for you, before placing a cool, damp rag on your face.
“They said the second trimester was supposed to be the good trimester Jay! All this morning sickness was supposed to be over by now!!”
You were not only sick, but frustrated . This pregnancy had been hard, and this was the sickest you had ever been in your life. In these moments, it was hard to keep sight of the goal, which was a healthy baby and just soldier through it. Especially when the sickness had lasted this long for you.
“Remember what the doctor said? All these pregnancy symptoms, the morning sickness, the headaches, the fatigue, it’s all a sign that the baby is healthy and growing. We got an appointment for tomorrow to check on everything. Right now, let’s just get something in your stomach so it will settle. I’ll go grab some crackers. That seemed to help some yesterday.”
-------------------------------
Jensen stayed on the phone with you until he got there, and true to his word everything was packed and ready to go.
He even had a towel on the seat waiting for you, just in case your water broke. You hadn’t even thought about that.
The ride to the hospital was quite uncomfortable, but it was nothing compared to the next 20 hours.
When you got to the hospital, the contractions were 3 to 2 minutes apart, they decided to keep you, since you were four centimeters dilated, and you were 100 % effaced.
From that point on, the contractions became almost intolerable, and just when you thought you couldn’t take anymore, they got even worse.
The only problem was you weren’t progressing.
You were still at 4 centimeters. The baby was still very high in positioning, and it just wasn’t going anywhere.
You had tried everything. Walking as much as you could, sitting on a birthing ball, peanuts pillows between your legs, everything. Nothing had helped!!
Now the doctors were talking about things that just weren’t in your birth plan. Epidurals, possible c-sections… Things you just didn’t want to do.
You were upset, you were exhausted, and you were angry, especially at Jensen.
“Baby girl, you’re so fucking amazing, and taking an epidoral will help not only you, but the baby rest as well. If your body can relax you can progress without the help of pitocin, and hopefully avoid a section.”
“Fuck you Jensen. You know this is not how I planned for this to go! How can you just suggest I just give up! You know how I feel about needles.”
There it was. The real reason you hated the idea of having the epidural. Your irrational fear of needles.
“Baby girl. Remember when you got really, really sick during this pregnancy? You had to go have those vitamin shots? They helped didn’t they? Baby, this will help to.Please, I don’t like seeing you in pain.”
Looking into his jade, slightly bloodshot eyes from exhaustion, you could see he was telling you the trust, that he was genuinely worried about you. He’d not slept any in over 48 hours, combined with work, and now this labor dragging on. Still, he never once complained.
Your mind drifted back to those vitamin shots he was talking about, and he was right, they did help.
------------------------------
“Mrs. Ackles, you're going to have to stay calm. It’s not that bad of a shot, I promise you. You will barely even feel it.”
The doctor was quickly losing his patience with your hysterical state, and you could tell , but you people just don’t understand what it’s like to fear something so completely, that you can’t see past it the way you did about needles. Your anxiety didn’t help you either.
“Let me talk to her.” Jensen said, coming over to your side, and wrapping his arms around as you buried your face into his shoulder, body still shaking with the fear that was gripping you.
You heard the door to the room close , and you felt Jensen’s lips brush the top of your forehead. His strong hands rubbing up and down your back in an attempt to sooth you.
“Baby girl, it’s gonna be okay. This will help you, and the baby. If you're not well, the baby isn’t well either. He depends on you to get his nutrients. You both need this. It’s one little pinch and that’s it. Then you will feel so much better.”
“I know Jay. I’m just terrified, and I can’t calm down.”
Jensen tightened his grip around you, one large hand coming down over your stomach. A comforting, grounding weight in the midst of all your anxiety induced confusion.
“I’ll be right here the whole time.”
You heard the door open, and the doctor and nurse reentered the room.
“You just keep your face buried where it’s at, and it will be over before you know it. I’m not going to let anything hurt you, and I’m not going to let anything happen to you.”
“Okay.” you finally agreed to let them give you the vitamin shot. Burying your face closer into his shoulder, and breathing his scent in deeply.
----------------------------
The vitamin shot did help, and it wasn’t even that bad.
Your fears at the time were irrational, and you knew that was the case now.
It didn’t make you any less of a woman to have an epidural. It didn’t make you weak, or any less of a Mom, and you knew that. It was just your fear.
But Jensen was here, and he would always be here. Even though you had been hard on him, he was right here, and you knew he’d protect you with everything in you.
“Okay, okay, let’s do the epidural.” you said, almost in defeat. Jensen’s lips came to meet yours in a quick peck. Relief evident on his face.
“Okay baby girl. Let’s get you some relief.”
----------------------------------
The epidural wasn’t as near as bad as you thought, and it did allow not only your body to rest and progress, but also for Jensen, as well as you, to get about three hours of much needed sleep.
You were even well enough rested to go through the whole process of birth a little clearer, and not in as much pain. The two of you bringing your little miracle man in the world together.
Jensen never left your side throughout the whole delivery, and even now that he was here, sitting as close to you as possible with his arm thrown around your shoulders, holding the both of you as you nursed your new little miracle.
“You did it sweetheart. He’s perfect.” Jensen said, placing a kiss to the top of your head, lingering there longer than needed.
“No Jay. We did it together, and I’m sorry I was such a bitch during the delivery,” you told him, resting your head against his shoulders.
Jensen’s deep chuckle next to you made you smile a little, as he remembered some of the things labor made you say to him.
“If we ever have another one, I’m wearing a cup just to be on the safe side.”
You had never felt so close to him in all of your life. This had brought you both into a deeper level of love and respect. One that you didn’t even know existed.
No matter what you had to face raising this baby boy, you’d do it the way he came into this world.
Together.

While my heart broke masterlist
<< Part 7
“No. Let me go,” you are still shaken from your encounter with the woman when the cops try to arrest her. She wiggles in the officer’s tight grip, struggling to get to you. “I’m going to kill you bitch! You and that bastard in your belly.”
“Enough,” a second officer handcuffs her, huffing as she still won’t stop fighting them. “You are arrested, miss. If you don’t stop, you make things even worse for you.”
“I already read her her rights,” the other officer mutters. “I don’t know if she even listened. She’s like a feral dog or something.”
“Crazy, bitch,” Jada growls. “You better arrest her before I take matters into my hands. She just attacked a pregnant woman and threatened her unborn child. I dare that woman to get close to my friend ever again.”
“Miss, I must ask you to calm down,” a third officer makes her way toward you and Jada. “We will arrest her. I promise she won’t get close to your friend anytime soon.”
“I’ll kill her,” you flinch as she won’t stop screaming. Even when the cops drag her toward their car. “You are dead bitch!”
“Come and try,” Jada mocks your angry attacker up. “I bet you can’t even take a real punch. I’ll rip you a new one if you even breathe wrong from now on.”
“Jada,” whispering your friend’s name you try to calm her. “I need to call Jensen, please. He should know what just happened.”
“Mrs. Ackles, Mrs. Padalecki, we will need your statement,” you nod, wanting nothing more than to see that awful woman go to jail.
“I-I need to call my husband. I,” wrapping her arms around you Jada shushes you. “Jada, she threatened my baby.”
“Officer, we will come to the police station for the statement after we called my friend’s husband. Give us a moment. Y/N needs to calm down first. It’s not good for the baby.”
“Sweetheart, Y/N,” Jensen hurriedly makes his way toward you. You just finished giving your statement as Jared, Jensen, and your lawyer walk inside the police station. “Y/N.”
“Jensen,” you throw yourself at Jensen to cry into his chest. “She…and then…the baby. Jada…hit her,” you choke on your words. “Saved me...the baby...”
“What exactly happened? I couldn’t understand everything you said,” Jared softly asks as Jada wraps her arms around her husband’s waistline. “Babe?”
“We wanted to have a nice day, and then that woman tried to attack Y/N out of the blue. I punched her ugly face, and I’ll do it again. If they don’t keep her away from Y/N and the kids…Jared, I’m going to commit murder and you’ll give me an alibi.”
“I hope we don’t have to go that far,” Jared snickers as your lawyer gives Jada a stern look. “But I promise to be your partner in crime.”
“Baby girl, are you okay? Do we need to see a doctor,” worriedly looking at you cling to his body Jensen sniffs. “Y/N?”
“One of the officers said that a doctor should check on Y/N. They send for a doctor, and everything is fine. They measured her blood pressure and all. If you want to be sure, we can drive to her doctor later, though.”
“I’m good,” you whimper in Jensen’s chest. “I only want to go home, Jensen. Please. I need to see my babies and forget about that woman for one day.”
“Let’s get you home, sweetheart. Everything is going to be alright,” Jensen presses a soft kiss to your temple. “We are going to make sure of it.”
“Mommy,” your kids run toward you. Jensen’s mother took care of them while you were at the police station and now, they are on a sugar rush and storm toward you to hug you tightly. “Where have you been? Did you bring us ice cream? Can we order pizza?”
“Bud, baby girl,” Jensen crouches down to turn your children’s attention toward him and away from you. “Your mommy needs a rest. It was a long day, okay.”
“Are you tired mommy?” fighting the tears you look down at your children. You nod, hating that you must lie to your children. “Come, we bring you to bed.”
“Jensen Dean,” your husband sighs as your son holds out his hand. “Just give your mom a minute. We need to talk about a few things first.”
“No,” your son crosses his arms over his chest. “Mommy looks tired and wants to sleep. I’m going to bring her to bed and kiss her goodnight.” You chuckle at your son’s serious expression. “Come, mommy.”
“Alright baby boy,” while you take your son’s hand, your daughter flanks your other side. “We should all have a rest.”
“Do you need anything else?” Jensen watches you and the kids on your bed. The one you used to share. “Food, water.”
You shush your husband as your children are already fast asleep. Jensen Dean rests his head on your belly, snoring lightly while his sister is curled in his side.
“We need to bring them to their beds,” your husband tries, but you shake your head. “Y/N, you need your sleep. They will wake you.”
“Can you-“ you bite your tongue for a moment. “Will you stay with us tonight? I can’t sleep without you tonight.”
“I’ll be right there. Give me a minute,” Jensen turns to silently close the bedroom door. “You sure you want me to stay after everything happening today?
“I don’t want to sleep without you, Jensen,” you choke out a sob. “I need to know that you are here.”
Jensen hastily changes into his pajamas to join you and the kids on the bed. He lies next to your children.
His heart hurts as he can see the fear on your features. All he can do for now is to be there for you.
“I know this is getting old, but I’m sorry,” he carefully reaches out for your hand, gently squeezing it.
“Jensen, that woman-“ your voice cracks as you remember the day’s events, “she’s crazy. She threatened to kill our baby. How can she be so cruel?”
“Our lawyer said something about a psychiatric report. He’ll keep us up to date,” Jensen watches you close your eyes. “I promise to do anything to keep you and the kids safe.”
“That bitch,” Jada is pacing her living room for what feels like hours. Jared can only watch his wife. He tried to calm her, but she was too pumped up to stop. “She threatened Y/N and tried to attack her.”
“Babe, you need to calm down,” Jared tries once again. He gently grabs her upper arms to stop Jada from pacing. “We will help them as much as we can. Let the cops, and attorney lawyer do their job.”
“If they don’t get her arrest,” your friend huffs. “I swear, I’ll grab that bitch and throw her into a hole. She’ll never see daylight again.”
“Remind me to never piss you off,” chuckling Jared looks down at his wife. “I promise to help you get rid of her if have to. Jensen made a mistake, but this woman is a lunatic.”
“Hey,” Jensen mumbles as you slowly blink your eyes open. “How do you feel?”
“Where are the kids?” you frown as your children are no longer on your bed. “Jensen, I need to know where my children are.”
“They are safe in their rooms. I didn’t want them to wake you. Jensen Dean woke and wiggled on the bed. He woke Sofia Rose. I brought them to their room, and they sleep like little angels now.”
“Oh. Good,” it feels awkward to be so close to your husband and still feel the distance that woman created. “Can we…can you…”
“Of course,” Jensen knows exactly what you need. He brings you into his arms and holds you like he used to. “We will not allow that woman to ruin our marriage. I’m ready to fight for our love, and our family.”
“We will need more than wishful thinking,” you allow yourself to inhale Jensen’s scent and enjoy his warmth. “I want you to be honest with me from now on. No more lies or hiding things. If you lie to me again, we are over…”

✨Littlest Winchester✨
Summary: You were always all about Christmas, but this year your excitement was through the roof—mixed with a hint of nervousness. You had big news to share with Dean, and the thought of it made your heart race with both joy and a touch of fear.
-Christmas Special-
Pairing: Dean x Reader
Warnings: bit of Angst, FLUFF
Word Count: 8706
A/N: English isn’t my first language, please be lenient. ❤️
Dean groaned as you shoved him, shifting slightly before blinking awake. His arm instinctively reached back for you, but you were already halfway out of bed, practically buzzing with excitement.
“What the hell, Y/N”, he mumbled, his voice thick with sleep. “It’s too early for this”.
You turned around, your grin widening as you saw his messy hair and the way he tried to bury his face back into the pillow. “It’s Christmas, Dean! Come on, get up!”.
He cracked one eye open, clearly unimpressed, but there was a hint of amusement in his gaze. “You’re like a kid”, he muttered, but despite his grumbling, you knew he wasn’t really annoyed.
You laughed, pulling at his arm to try and drag him out of bed. “Exactly! And we’ve got a whole day ahead. Presents, food… everything”.
Dean groaned again, louder this time, and reached out his arm, trying to pull you back toward the bed. “C’mon, baby”, he muttered, his voice low and husky. “Just… five more minutes. It’s freezing out there, and this bed is perfect right now”.
You shook your head, laughing softly as he wrapped his arm around your waist, tugging you back onto the mattress. “Dean! We have the whole day! I don’t want to waste it”, you said, even as you felt his warmth surround you, making it harder to resist the temptation to stay.
He grinned lazily, clearly enjoying his victory as you reluctantly settled back beside him. “The day’s not going anywhere”, he murmured, his voice a little softer now. “Besides, Christmas can wait. Let’s just stay here… just a little longer”. His hand traced lazy circles on your back, and you could feel his breath against your neck as he nestled closer.
For a moment, you almost gave in. The way Dean held you, his warmth, the quietness of the room—it was all too comfortable. But then your excitement bubbled up again, and you gently nudged him. “Dean, come on”, you urged, trying to wiggle free from his grip.
Dean let out an exaggerated groan, burying his face deeper into the pillow as you tried to escape his grasp. “You’re killing me, Y/N”, he muttered, his arm tightening around you one last time before finally loosening his grip. “Fine, but I’m only doing this for the pie”.
You laughed, finally free as you sprang out of bed, your energy contagious. Dean rolled onto his back, stretching his arms over his head, watching you with a lazy smirk as you practically skipped around the room.
“You’re lucky you’re cute when you’re excited”, he teased, his voice still thick with sleep. He swung his legs over the side of the bed, running a hand through his messy hair as he sat up. “But if I don’t smell coffee in the next five minutes, you’re on your own”.
You shot him a playful glare before heading toward the door, the excitement bubbling up again.
Dean pulled on his sweatpants and a shirt, giving one last stretch before heading out of the room. He followed you quietly through the bunker, the coolness of the metal halls contrasting with the warmth of your festive decorations. You had spent weeks transforming the usually stark and utilitarian space into something that actually felt like Christmas—string lights hung from the walls, garlands draped over the railings, and a big tree sat proudly in the corner of the main room, covered in ornaments.
As Dean walked, he couldn’t help but smirk at how much effort you’d put into it. The bunker, usually so cold and impersonal, felt almost… homey. He’d never been one for Christmas decorations, but he had to admit, seeing the place like this wasn’t so bad.
When he finally reached the kitchen, you were already bustling around, pouring a mug of coffee and humming to yourself. The smell of freshly brewed coffee filled the air, mixing with the faint scent of cinnamon from a candle you had insisted on lighting every morning.
Dean leaned against the doorframe, watching you for a moment. “You know, you’ve really outdone yourself with this whole Christmas thing”, he said, his tone half teasing, half genuine. “Didn’t think the bunker could look this… festive”.
You turned around, grinning as you handed him a mug. “Well, someone had to bring the holiday spirit. If it were up to you, we’d have nothing but a six-pack and maybe a couple of leftover slices of pizza to celebrate”.
Dean chuckled, taking the coffee gratefully. “Hey, nothing wrong with that. But I gotta admit, the tree’s kinda growing on me”.
That’s when Sam stumbled into the kitchen, still half asleep, his hair sticking up in all directions. He looked like he’d just rolled out of bed—because he had. He squinted at the lights. You could see him suppressing a yawn as he leaned against the counter, blinking at the sight of the two of you.
“Morning”, he muttered, rubbing his eyes and reaching for the coffee pot. “Knew I’d be dead if I slept in today”, he added with a smirk in your direction, his voice gravelly with sleep.
You grinned, lifting your mug in mock salute. “Damn right, Winchester. It’s Christmas, not time to laze around”.
Dean chuckled, shaking his head as he watched Sam pour himself some coffee.
Sam took a slow sip of his coffee, his eyes narrowing slightly as a mischievous grin crept onto his face. He leaned back against the counter, casually crossing his arms. “Speaking of lazing around, Dean, I didn’t think you’d even be up by now, considering you’ve got a whole new reason to stay in bed these days”, he teased, casting a glance your way.
Dean shot him a look, raising an eyebrow. “Oh, really, Sammy? That’s what we’re doing now?”.
Sam smirked, clearly enjoying the chance to poke fun at his brother. “What? I’m just saying, Y/N’s got you wrapped around her finger. I never thought I’d see the day Dean Winchester gets out of bed early on Christmas morning without complaining. Miracles do happen”.
Dean rolled his eyes, but you could see the faintest hint of a grin tugging at the corner of his mouth. “Yeah, yeah. Keep talking, Sasquatch”.
Sam chuckled, clearly not done with the teasing. “I’m just saying, she’s got you doing things I never thought possible. I mean, you’re practically domesticated, Dean. Next thing we know, you’ll be cooking us a Christmas dinner and wearing an apron”.
Dean scoffed, leaning back against the counter with a smirk. “Yeah, right. Like I’d ever let you two anywhere near my cooking. And for the record, Y/N hasn’t ‘domesticated’ anything. I’m still the same badass I’ve always been”.
You raised an eyebrow at him playfully, crossing your arms. “Oh really? Because I distinctly remember someone helping me hang Christmas lights last week without complaining once”.
Dean pointed at you, his grin widening. “Hey, I did that under protest, and I still managed to look cool doing it”.
Sam burst out laughing. “Yeah, because nothing says ‘cool’ like untangling lights and getting glitter all over yourself”.
You grinned, stepping closer to Dean and leaning in to kiss him softly on the lips. “You’re still a badass”, you mumbled against his mouth, your hand resting on his chest.
Dean smirked, his eyes darkening playfully as he pulled you closer, his hand slipping to give your butt a squeeze. “Damn right I am”, he grumbled quietly, his lips brushing against your ear. “And tonight, I’m gonna show you just how much of a badass I really am”.
You blushed slightly, biting your lip, but before you could respond, Sam cleared his throat loudly, rolling his eyes as he grabbed a spatula from the counter. “Alright, lovebirds. Save it for later”. He gave Dean a pointed look and shook his head, but there was a grin tugging at the corners of his mouth.
Dean just laughed, completely unbothered. “What? You’d understand if you weren’t such a giant prude”.
Sam chuckled and turned his attention back to the stove, where the eggs you’d been cooking were starting to sizzle. “Speaking of helping, you two might want to focus on breakfast before I have to scrape these off the pan”. He stirred the eggs, giving Dean a mock glare. “You’re not getting out of this one, man. You can help with breakfast if you’re not too busy being a badass”.
Dean grinned, giving you one more quick kiss, his lips lingering just long enough to make your heart flutter. "Alright, alright", he muttered with a chuckle.
You rolled your eyes playfully but couldn't help the smile that tugged at your lips as you returned to the stove, taking over where Sam left off with the eggs. As you stirred them, you could feel Dean’s gaze still on you, that familiar warmth blooming in your chest. Sam was right—Dean might act tough and gruff most of the time, but with you, it was different. There was a softness he showed only around you, a vulnerability he never let anyone else see. And honestly, it felt good knowing you had him wrapped around your finger in a way no one else ever had.
Dean walked up behind you, resting his hand casually on the small of your back as he grabbed the coffee pot to refill his mug. "These eggs better be good, or you’re gonna have to explain to Sam why I’m stealing all the bacon later".
Sam snorted from the other side of the kitchen, glancing over with a smirk. "You’re such a drama queen, Dean. It’s breakfast, not a five-star restaurant".
"Hey, breakfast is important", Dean shot back, leaning against the counter with a mock-serious look. "And so is bacon. Especially on Christmas morning".
You laughed, shaking your head as you finished scrambling the eggs, the smell of food filling the bunker and blending with the warmth of the decorations around you. “Relax, Winchester. You’ll get your bacon”.
Dean raised his mug in a mock toast. “Now you’re talking my language”.
As Sam set the table, you couldn’t help but take a moment to appreciate the scene—two brothers you cared about, a peaceful morning for once, and a Christmas that actually felt like something worth celebrating. Despite everything life threw at you, moments like this made it all worthwhile.
Just as you set the plates of scrambled eggs and bacon on the table, a sudden whoosh of air filled the room, and before you could react, Jack appeared right in the middle of the kitchen, his usual bright smile lighting up his face.
“Good morning!”, Jack exclaimed, his excitement palpable. “Merry Christmas!”.
Dean nearly spilled his coffee, glancing up with a start. “Damn it, Jack! We’ve talked about the whole ‘teleporting without warning’ thing”.
Before Jack could respond, there was another rustle, and Cas stepped into the kitchen, as calm and collected as ever. “Dean”, he said in his familiar, gravelly tone, “we’re here for breakfast, not to startle you”.
You couldn’t help but chuckle as you watched Dean roll his eyes, clearly trying to keep his usual grumpy demeanor in place, though you could tell he was glad to see them. “Yeah, well, maybe next time use the front door like normal people”, Dean muttered, but his grin betrayed him as he waved them over.
Jack, seemingly oblivious to the grumbling, beamed at the sight of the Christmas decorations you had put up. “Wow, Y/N! The bunker looks amazing! It feels so… festive!”.
You smiled, wiping your hands on a dish towel. “Thanks, Jack. Took a bit of work, but it’s worth it”.
Cas, standing beside Jack, nodded his approval. “It’s a significant improvement. Very… homey”.
Dean snorted, muttering under his breath, “Great, now even Cas is getting sappy”. But there was no hiding the fondness in his voice.
Sam grinned at Jack and Cas, pulling out chairs for them. “Perfect timing, guys. Y/N just finished making breakfast. You’re just in time”.
Jack’s eyes lit up as he sat down eagerly, glancing at the spread of eggs, bacon, and toast. “I love breakfast!”.
Dean raised an eyebrow as he sat down across from him. “Jack, you love every meal”.
Jack shrugged with a sheepish smile. “That’s true. But breakfast is especially good”.
Cas sat beside Jack, his eyes scanning the table thoughtfully. “I don’t require food, but I appreciate the sentiment. I’ll join you”.
Dean caught your eye as you both sat down, his hand brushing against yours under the table. He didn’t say anything, but the warmth in his gaze said it all: this, right here, was what mattered.
As the breakfast continued, the table filled with the sound of clinking forks and Jack excitedly recounting some recent stories, Cas began to grow unusually quiet. You noticed him eyeing you from across the table, his piercing blue gaze lingering on you with that familiar intensity that usually meant he had picked up on something. His brows furrowed slightly, and you bit your lip, silently hoping he’d just tune into Jack’s enthusiastic chatter.
But then, Cas tilted his head ever so slightly, his eyes narrowing as they dropped to your stomach. “Y/N”, he started, his voice cutting through the lighthearted atmosphere, “something feels… off”.
Your heart skipped a beat. You could feel Dean glance at you out of the corner of his eye, his fork pausing midway to his mouth. Cas’ eyes were still fixed on you, a mix of confusion and concern etched across his face, and you knew he was sensing something that you weren’t quite ready to discuss. Not yet.
Cas opened his mouth again, but before he could say anything more, you stood up abruptly, your chair scraping against the floor. “Cas, could you help me with something in the library?”, you asked quickly, trying to keep your voice steady, but the urgency in your tone was hard to miss.
Dean’s gaze shifted fully to you now, his brows furrowing slightly. “Baby, you barely ate”, he said softly, nodding towards your plate that still had most of the eggs untouched.
You forced a small smile, your heart racing. “I’ll be right back. I just need to check something with Cas. Won’t take long”.
Jack, still caught up in his own world, barely seemed to notice the tension as he continued his story to Sam. But Dean wasn’t fooled, his eyes searching yours for an explanation. You gave his hand a reassuring squeeze before nodding toward Cas, silently pleading with him to follow you without asking any more questions.
Cas stood slowly, his expression still unreadable but compliant, and followed you out of the kitchen. As soon as you were out of earshot, you let out a shaky breath, trying to gather your thoughts. The last thing you needed was Cas revealing something in front of everyone before you even had a chance to wrap your head around it yourself.
Cas watched you with that deep, unblinking intensity, his hands still tucked into the familiar folds of his trench coat. The silence between you felt heavy, the air thick with the tension of unspoken words. You could see the wheels turning in his mind, that angelic perception of his already picking up on things you hadn’t fully come to terms with yet.
And then it happened.
In the quiet stillness of the library, his gaze sharpened slightly. His head tilted once more, and his eyes flicked to your stomach. It was as though something invisible had clicked into place. The faintest sound of another heartbeat reached his celestial senses, soft yet distinct, tucked away beneath your own.
His eyes widened in realization, and he straightened up, his voice barely more than a whisper. “There’s… another heartbeat”.
You swallowed hard, your throat tightening as the reality of it hit you again. You hadn’t wanted to think about it, hadn’t even allowed yourself to fully embrace it yet. But now, with Cas staring at you like he’d just uncovered a truth written in the stars, it was impossible to avoid.
Cas stepped closer, his expression softening with a mixture of awe and understanding. “Y/N… you’re pregnant”.
There it was—out in the open. The secret you had been carrying alone, unsure of how to even approach it. The words hung in the air between you, thick and heavy, as if they had the power to change everything.
You nodded slowly, your eyes dropping to the floor as your fingers fidgeted with the hem of your shirt. “I—I found out a while ago. I haven’t told Dean yet”.
Cas watched you closely, his blue eyes filled with understanding as you hesitated. The weight of your secret had been building up inside you, and now that it was out in the open—at least with Cas—it felt like you were one step closer to facing it. But there was still the looming task of telling Dean, and that, above all, made your heart race.
You took a deep breath, your voice barely above a whisper as you admitted, “I’m planning on telling him tonight”.
Cas nodded, his expression gentle and supportive. “That’s a good idea, Y/N. It’s important that he hears it from you, and in your own time”.
You bit your lip, feeling the nerves bubble up again. “I know. I’ve been trying to figure out the right moment, the right words… but I don’t think there’s ever going to be a perfect time, is there?”.
Cas shook his head slightly. “No, but Dean will understand. He’ll want to be there for you, for both of you”.
You sighed softly, running a hand through your hair. “It’s just… it’s a lot. And with everything we’ve been through—demons, angels, hunting—it’s hard to imagine something like this fitting into our lives”.
Cas took a step closer, his presence calming. “You’re stronger than you think, Y/N. You’ve been through so much together, and this will be another challenge, but one filled with love. Dean will rise to the occasion”.
You smiled weakly, grateful for Cas’ steady reassurance. “Thanks, Cas. I really needed to hear that”.
Cas nodded, a rare, soft smile tugging at his lips, a sight so uncommon that it momentarily eased the tension in your chest. It was reassuring, the way he could offer comfort without saying too much, just being present and understanding in his quiet, angelic way.
"You’re welcome, Y/N", he said softly, that smile lingering. "It’s going to be alright. You’re not alone in this".
You felt a surge of emotion at his words. Cas always had this way of making even the most overwhelming situations seem manageable, like everything was just part of a bigger plan. You were about to face one of the biggest moments of your life, but somehow, in this moment, with Cas standing there, it didn’t feel as impossible as it had before.
“I’m not sure how I’m going to bring it up", you admitted, a hint of nervousness creeping back into your voice. “Dean’s not exactly the best at handling surprises”.
Cas’ small smile grew slightly, an amused glint in his eyes. “True, but he has a way of adapting, especially when it comes to you”.
You chuckled softly, rubbing your hands together nervously. “Yeah, I guess you’re right”.
Cas’ expression grew more serious again as he added, “Dean cares for you deeply. That won’t change, no matter what you tell him tonight”.
You nodded, letting out a breath you didn’t realize you were holding. “Okay. Tonight”.
You gave him a small, grateful smile and then glanced back toward the kitchen. "We should get back before Dean gets suspicious”.
Cas simply followed your gaze, and with a subtle shift of his posture, you both started making your way back to the kitchen. As you stepped inside, the sound of Jack’s laughter filled the room, and the warmth of the holiday decorations felt a little more comforting now.
Dean immediately looked up from his seat, his green eyes locking onto yours. His brow furrowed slightly, but he smiled, his lips curling into that familiar smirk that always managed to make your heart skip a beat. “Everything good?”, he asked, his voice casual but laced with curiosity.
You smiled back at him, nodding as you returned to your seat next to him. “Yeah, everything’s good”, you said softly, your hand finding his under the table again, needing that connection for just a bit longer.
Dean glanced between you and Cas but didn’t press further. Instead, he squeezed your hand, his thumb brushing over your knuckles in a gesture of quiet comfort.
The rest of the breakfast carried on with Jack and Sam exchanging stories, Cas chiming in now and then with his calm, straightforward insights. And while the atmosphere was light, you couldn’t help but feel the weight of the conversation that was coming later.
As the day went on, the soft hum of holiday cheer filled the bunker. Jack sat cross-legged on the floor beside you, eagerly helping to wrap the last few presents, his excitement almost palpable as he concentrated on folding the wrapping paper with precision. “Do you think they’ll like them?”, he asked, glancing up at you with wide, hopeful eyes.
You smiled warmly, watching him try his best to mimic the way you wrapped the gifts. “They’ll love them, Jack”, you assured him. “It’s the thought that counts, and you’ve put a lot of thought into these”.
Jack beamed, his joy infectious. “I hope so. I want this Christmas to be perfect”.
As you carefully taped the final gift, your eyes drifted over to Cas, who sat in the corner of the room, staring down at the bright red and green Christmas sweater you’d made him wear earlier in the day. It had a knitted image of a reindeer on it, complete with a blinking red nose, and while the sweater fit him perfectly, Cas looked incredibly out of place.
He tugged slightly at the fabric near his neck, his expression unreadable as he muttered, “This garment feels… unusual”.
You couldn’t help but laugh softly. “It’s supposed to feel a little weird. It’s a Christmas sweater, Cas. They’re meant to be festive, not comfortable”.
Cas raised an eyebrow, clearly unconvinced. “I fail to understand how wearing this contributes to the holiday spirit”.
Jack looked up from his wrapping and grinned. “It’s part of the tradition, Castiel. You wear silly clothes, eat too much food, and spend time with the people you care about. That’s the spirit of Christmas”.
Cas glanced at Jack, his confusion softening into contemplation. “I see”, he murmured, his eyes moving down to the blinking reindeer on his chest once more. “It is… rather distracting”.
You chuckled, moving to sit beside him for a moment. “You’re doing great, Cas. You’re embracing the whole Christmas thing, and that’s what counts”.
He nodded slowly, though his fingers continued to tug at the sweater, as if he were still trying to understand its purpose. “I suppose if it makes everyone happy, I can tolerate it for a little while longer”.
Jack beamed at Cas, clearly pleased that he was trying to join in. “It looks good on you, Cas. Really festive!”.
Cas gave a small nod of acknowledgment but looked a little like he’d rather be anywhere else than wearing that sweater. Still, it was a rare moment of levity in their otherwise intense lives, and you were glad to see him at least making an effort.
The day passed peacefully, the bunker filled with laughter and quiet conversation. Sam and Dean had gone out to get the final groceries for dinner, leaving you with some much-needed quiet time to prepare mentally for the conversation you were planning to have later.
Just as you began peeling potatoes for dinner, the sound of Jody’s familiar voice echoed through the bunker, followed by the laughter and chatter of her girls, Claire and Alex.
Cas, Jack, and Sam were quick to step outside to help unload the car. From the doorway, you could see Jack’s enthusiasm, practically bouncing on his heels as they brought in armfuls of presents from the back of Jody’s truck.
You smiled to yourself, grateful for the warmth that filled the bunker today. It wasn’t just the twinkling lights or the soft hum of Christmas music playing in the background; it was the people—this makeshift family that had come together, in all their strange, supernatural, and human ways.
Suddenly, you felt a presence behind you, strong and familiar. Before you could react, Dean’s hands slid around your waist, splaying across your belly as he pressed his body close to yours. His lips found the side of your neck, leaving soft kisses that sent shivers down your spine, making your breath hitch.
“Hey”, he whispered against your skin, his voice low and teasing. “You’ve been running around all day. Figured I’d steal a minute”.
You exhaled, momentarily forgetting about the potatoes as you leaned into his touch, feeling the warmth of his hands spread through you. His fingers brushed against your belly gently, and for a second, a rush of nerves tightened your chest. He didn’t know yet, and his hands were right there, resting over the secret you hadn’t yet shared.
Dean must have felt the shift in your body because he paused, his lips still on your neck but now still. “You okay, sweetheart?”.
You forced a smile, even though your heart raced beneath your chest. “Yeah, just… thinking about everything we have to get done”.
He chuckled, clearly not suspecting anything. “You’ve got this”, he said confidently, his hands giving your stomach a soft squeeze before he moved his lips to your ear. “And later tonight, we’ll make some time for just us. Sound good?”.
Your breath caught again, not from his words but from the weight of what you knew you had to tell him. You turned your head slightly, catching his gaze, trying to steady your nerves. “Yeah”, you whispered. “Later”.
Dean grinned, giving you one more lingering kiss on the neck before pulling back. "You need any help here?", he asked, nodding toward the potatoes you’d been peeling, but before you could answer, Jody stepped into the kitchen with her usual air of confident warmth, followed closely by Alex, both clearly ready to jump in and take over.
Jody smiled as she caught sight of Dean standing so close to you. “I think you’ve got enough on your plate, Dean”, she teased lightly, her eyes sparkling. “Why don’t you let the ladies handle dinner, and you can make yourself useful elsewhere?”.
Dean chuckled, holding up his hands in surrender. “Alright, alright. You know where to find me if you need the real help”.
Jody rolled her eyes playfully before turning toward you. “Looks like we’ve got things covered in here, Y/N. What do you say we get this show on the road?”.
You gave her a grateful smile as Alex moved to your side, eager to pitch in. "Sounds good to me".
Before Dean could make another comment, Jody pointed toward the door, a mischievous grin on her face. "Dean, why don’t you, Sam, Cas, and Claire set up the tables in the library for dinner? I want it to look nice. You boys can handle a little decorating, can’t you?".
Dean snorted. “Decorating? Uh, sure, we’ll handle it”.
Claire, who had just come in, overheard Jody’s instructions and immediately protested. "Decorating? Seriously, Jody?", she groaned, throwing her hands up dramatically. "You know I’m not exactly the Martha Stewart type".
Jody shot her a mock-serious look. "It’s Christmas, Claire. And you’re part of this family, which means you help".
Claire grumbled under her breath, but the small smile playing at her lips told you she wasn’t really upset.
Dean, hearing her complaints, threw an arm around Claire’s shoulders as they both walked out of the kitchen. “Come on, kid. We’ll make Cas do the heavy lifting. You and I can just supervise”.
Claire smirked, shaking her head but following along anyway, while you could hear Sam and Cas joining in, their voices fading as they headed toward the library.
With the boys and Claire out of the kitchen, the room settled into a comfortable hum as you, Jody, and Alex set to work on dinner. The smell of freshly peeled potatoes filled the air as you and Alex continued prepping, while Jody took command of the oven, expertly sliding in a tray of seasoned vegetables.
“So”, Jody said, glancing at you with a raised eyebrow as she wiped her hands on a towel. “How are you holding up? Got a lot on your mind, I bet”.
You hesitated for a moment, your hand pausing mid-peel, before you nodded. “Yeah… you could say that”.
Jody gave you one of her knowing looks, that calm, motherly intuition she always carried. “Anything you want to talk about?”.
You smiled softly, appreciating the offer, but shook your head. “Not right now. But… thanks, Jody”.
She nodded, not pressing, but you could tell she understood. "Whenever you're ready".
Alex, sensing the shift in conversation, changed the subject, her voice bright as she asked about dessert ideas. The easy banter and lighthearted chatter that followed made you feel a little more grounded, and soon, the rhythm of preparing the Christmas feast fell into place, calming your nerves.
As you worked alongside Jody and Alex, you could hear occasional bursts of laughter coming from the library, a sure sign that the boys—and Claire—were enjoying their task despite the initial complaints. You couldn’t help but smile, imagining the chaos they were creating while attempting to set up the dinner tables.
Tonight was still hanging over you, but for now, you allowed yourself to enjoy the moment. The warmth, the laughter, the love that filled the bunker—it was all the reassurance you needed. Whatever came next, you’d face it surrounded by the people who had become your family.
Two hours later, the whole group was gathered around the large table in the library, now decorated with Christmas lights and a mix of festive table settings. Laughter and conversation filled the room, creating a warm, comforting atmosphere that made the bunker feel more like a real home. The scent of roasted vegetables, savory meat, and freshly baked bread wafted through the air as everyone dug into the Christmas dinner you had all worked so hard to prepare.
You sat between Dean and Sam, your plate in front of you looking more full than it should, considering the slight wave of nausea that had settled over you. Despite your best efforts, eating wasn’t coming as easily as you’d hoped. It was frustrating, really—you felt like you were starving, but every bite seemed to turn heavy the moment it hit your stomach. Still, you kept a huge smile plastered across your face, determined to enjoy the moment.
As Jody regaled the group with stories from her last Christmas with Claire and Alex, everyone at the table was engaged, laughing and reacting to her animated storytelling. Claire rolled her eyes playfully at some of the more embarrassing details, but there was no denying the affection in her gaze as she listened to Jody.
“And then”, Jody continued, gesturing wildly with her fork, “Claire decided it would be a great idea to chop down her own Christmas tree—without telling me. She borrowed my axe and came back with this tiny, crooked thing. Looked like Charlie Brown’s tree on a bad day”.
Everyone erupted in laughter, Claire groaning dramatically as she covered her face with her hands. “It wasn’t that bad!”, she protested, but the grin on her face betrayed her.
Alex chimed in, laughing, “Oh, it was that bad. You’re lucky it didn’t fall over on us while we were decorating it”.
Dean chuckled beside you, shaking his head. “Sounds like Claire and I would’ve gotten along just fine as kids”.
“Of course you would”, Sam said, rolling his eyes. “Mischief attracts mischief”.
You laughed along with them, though you could feel your stomach turning slightly as you pushed some mashed potatoes around your plate. Dean, ever observant, glanced at you between bites, his eyes narrowing slightly in concern.
“Hey”, he said quietly, leaning in so only you could hear. “You okay? You’ve barely touched your food”.
Your heart skipped a beat, and you offered him a reassuring smile, though you could tell he wasn’t completely convinced. “Yeah, I’m fine. Just… not as hungry as I thought I’d be”.
Dean studied you for a moment, his hand resting gently on your knee under the table. He didn’t press further, though, which you appreciated. Instead, he gave your leg a soft squeeze before turning back to the conversation, his worry still lingering just beneath the surface.
As the evening went on, you focused on the stories and laughter around you, feeling the love and joy that filled the room. Jack, seated between Cas and Sam, was practically glowing with excitement, his eyes wide as he listened intently to each person who spoke, soaking in the warmth of the holiday spirit like it was something magical.
Occasionally, you managed a few bites of food, but the queasiness never quite went away. Still, the happiness of the evening made it easier to push the discomfort aside. Jody’s stories continued, one after another, each more hilarious than the last, and soon the entire table was in fits of laughter.
“I swear”, Jody said, wiping a tear from her eye as she finished another tale, “Christmas with these girls is never boring. If it’s not Claire taking an axe to a tree, it’s Alex burning cookies in the oven”.
Alex gasped in mock offense. “That was one time, Jody!”.
Sam grinned, leaning back in his chair. “Sounds like a Winchester Christmas, alright”.
Dean chuckled, but his attention shifted to you again, his hand still resting gently on your leg. He shot you a quick glance, as if making sure you were really okay, but before he could say anything, Jody changed the subject, pulling him back into the conversation.
For now, you kept your smile in place, the weight of your secret heavy in your heart.
The mood in the library was warm and festive as everyone gathered around the Christmas tree, glowing with twinkling lights. The bunker’s cold, utilitarian vibe had completely transformed into something that resembled a cozy family living room. Armchairs and smaller couches were draped around the tree, but despite the available space, Dean pulled you into his lap, grinning as he wrapped an arm around your waist, claiming you as his own little piece of Christmas comfort.
“Gotta save space, right?”, Dean teased, giving you a playful squeeze. You settled into him, your nerves still fluttering as you kept the small, tightly wrapped frame in your hands. You felt the solid weight of the secret within, the truth you were about to share, but you kept it to yourself for now, waiting for the right moment.
On the floor in front of the tree, Jack sat cross-legged, his eyes bright with excitement as he carefully picked up gifts, handing them out with the eagerness of a kid on Christmas morning. Sam sat nearby, his legs stretched out in front of him as he watched the scene with a fond smile. Claire and Alex were already ripping into their presents, while Jody smiled from the armchair, enjoying the chaos that had taken over the normally quiet bunker.
Dean, of course, had his focus on you, even as he tore into the gifts Jack handed him. His laughter filled the room as he opened a box from Sam containing a brand-new set of tools. “Knew I could count on you for the practical stuff”, Dean joked, giving Sam a wink.
You smiled softly, watching Dean enjoy the moment, but your heart raced as the small frame in your hands grew heavier. You could feel the ultrasound picture inside, the words Littlest Winchester written across the frame. You had thought about this moment a hundred times, imagined how it would go, but now that you were here, sitting on Dean’s lap, surrounded by the people you loved, you felt a knot of anxiety tighten in your chest.
Jack continued handing out gifts, his excitement infectious as he passed a wrapped present to Cas, who opened it slowly, carefully peeling away the paper. Dean’s hands, however, rested lightly on your hips, and you could feel his attention shifting back to you between each gift. He was smiling, but there was something in his eyes, like he knew something was on your mind.
Dean leaned in closer, his breath warm against your ear. “You alright, sweetheart? You’ve been a little quiet”.
You nodded quickly, trying to keep the nervousness out of your voice. “Yeah, I’m fine. Just… waiting for the right moment”.
Dean’s eyebrows rose slightly, but he didn’t press you further. Instead, he turned his attention back to the last few gifts Jack was handing out. But you could feel his curiosity piqued—he knew something was up, but he was giving you space.
Finally, all the presents were opened, and the room was filled with the sounds of laughter, wrapping paper scattered across the floor. Dean leaned back, his arm still securely around your waist as he admired the various gifts he had received. “This was a damn good Christmas”, he said, his voice content. “You outdid yourself this year”.
You smiled, your heart pounding in your chest as you held the small frame tighter in your hands. This was it. The right moment had arrived, and there was no turning back now.
Swallowing the lump in your throat, you slowly shifted in Dean’s lap, turning to face him slightly. “Dean”, you started softly, your voice barely above a whisper, “I have one more gift for you”.
His eyes lit up with curiosity as he tilted his head. “Another one? You’re spoiling me, sweetheart”.
You took a deep breath, feeling the weight of the moment settle over you. With trembling hands, you passed him the small, neatly wrapped frame. Dean looked down at it, his brow furrowing slightly as he took it from you, clearly sensing the significance behind it.
His fingers brushed against the wrapping paper as he tore it open, his usual playful smirk giving way to something more serious as he carefully peeled back the layers. When the frame finally emerged, his eyes immediately dropped to the image inside.
Dean froze.
His hand tightened around the frame, his breath catching in his throat as his eyes locked onto the ultrasound picture. The words Littlest Winchester written across the top of the frame seemed to echo in the air between you. For a moment, everything else in the room faded away—Jack’s chatter, Claire’s teasing, even the warm glow of the Christmas tree seemed to disappear as Dean stared at the image in front of him.
His voice, when it finally came, was rough, barely a whisper. “Is this…?”.
Dean’s world seemed to stop as he stared at the ultrasound picture, his breath hitching in his throat. His eyes wide with disbelief and something else—something deeper, rawer. Right now, in this moment, it was as if the rest of the room had faded away. It was just you and him.
You could feel the weight of his gaze on you, but you couldn’t meet his eyes. Your heart pounded in your chest, a mix of nerves and anticipation swirling inside of you. You bit your lip, your fingers trembling as you twisted them together anxiously in your lap. How would he react? This wasn’t planned. Hell, you’d been on the pill, doing everything right, and yet somehow this happened.
You had known that Dean always wanted kids, deep down. You had seen it in the way he looked at families whenever you passed them on the road, in the rare quiet moments when he let his guard down and talked about what could have been. But with his lifestyle—your lifestyle—it always seemed like an impossible dream. The topic had always been brushed off, a “what if” too dangerous to entertain.
Now, it wasn’t a “what if” anymore. It was real. It was happening. And you were terrified of how he might respond.
Tears welled in your eyes, your vision blurring as you nodded slowly, unable to find the strength to look at him. You stared down at your hands, twisting your fingers together as the silence stretched on, the tension in the air thick enough to choke on.
“I—I didn’t know… I was on the pill. I don’t know how this happened, but… it did”, you whispered, your voice trembling as the tears spilled over.
You wiped at your eyes, trying to steady your breathing. “I’m scared. I don’t know what this means for us, for everything. I just… I know it’s not what we planned, and I don’t know how you feel about it…”.
Your voice trailed off, overwhelmed by the enormity of what was happening. You didn’t dare look up at him, afraid of what you might see in his eyes—afraid that the dream you hadn’t let yourself believe in might come crashing down.
But then, after what felt like an eternity, you felt Dean’s hand move from the frame. His fingers found yours, gently prying your hands apart and wrapping them in his. His touch was warm, grounding you, and with that simple gesture, your heart clenched.
“Sweetheart”, Dean’s voice was low, thick with emotion as he finally spoke, and you could hear the slight tremble in it. He reached up, his hand cupping your cheek, gently wiping away a tear with his thumb. “Look at me”.
You hesitated, but the softness in his voice, the warmth in his touch, made you brave enough to lift your gaze to meet his. When you finally did, the sight of his eyes—wide, filled with awe and love, and glistening with unshed tears—took your breath away.
“You’re pregnant”, he whispered, like he was trying to wrap his mind around the reality of it. “We’re having a baby”.
The corners of his mouth twitched as if he wanted to smile but was still too overwhelmed to fully let it through. His eyes searched yours, trying to gauge everything you were feeling, trying to make sense of this new reality.
You nodded again, your voice barely above a whisper. “Yeah, Dean. We’re having a baby”.
For a moment, neither of you spoke. His hand still rested on your cheek, his thumb brushing gently against your skin, grounding you both in this new, terrifying, and beautiful reality.
And then, suddenly, Dean let out a shaky breath, his lips curving into the kind of smile you had rarely seen from him—one of pure, unfiltered joy. A small laugh escaped him, as if the weight of the world had just been lifted from his shoulders.
“We’re having a baby”, he repeated, this time with more conviction, his voice filled with wonder. Holy crap”.
He pulled you closer, his arms wrapping around you tightly, holding you as if he never wanted to let go. You could feel the way his heart was racing, how overwhelmed and overjoyed he was, and it made the tears spill from your eyes all over again.
“I love you”, Dean murmured into your hair, his voice thick with emotion. “God, I love you so much. I don’t care how it happened, I don’t care about the rest. This—this is the best damn Christmas gift I’ve ever gotten”.
You let out a sob of relief, burying your face into his chest as you held onto him, your fingers gripping his shirt as you let the emotions wash over you. All the fear, the anxiety, the uncertainty—it all melted away in his embrace.
Dean kissed the top of your head, holding you close as you both stayed like that for a long moment. Finally, you pulled back slightly, looking up at him, your face wet with tears, but your heart lighter than it had been in weeks.
“Are you… are you really okay with this?”, you asked softly, still needing to hear it, still needing that final reassurance.
Dean’s eyes softened as he leaned in, pressing his forehead against yours. “More than okay”, he whispered, his breath warm against your skin. “I’ve never been more okay with anything in my life”.
Dean pulled you in even tighter, his lips meeting yours in a soft, tender kiss that carried all the emotion he couldn’t quite put into words. His hand cradled the back of your head as if to ground both of you in the moment, making you feel safe, loved, and cherished. When he finally pulled back, his forehead rested against yours, his breath shaky but filled with happiness.
Without even glancing away from you, Dean blindly handed the framed ultrasound to Sam, who had been watching the two of you closely. “Hey, Sammy, check this out”, Dean muttered, his voice still thick with awe and emotion.
Sam took the frame gingerly, his brow furrowing in confusion at first as he glanced down. But when he saw what was in his hands, his expression shifted, his eyes widening in shock as he realized what he was looking at. “Holy crap”, Sam whispered, his voice echoing Dean’s earlier reaction.
The room, which had grown quiet as everyone observed the moment between you and Dean, suddenly erupted in soft gasps and murmurs as Sam held up the frame for everyone to see.
Jody’s eyes lit up with a wide smile, and her hand flew to her mouth in surprise. Claire and Alex exchanged looks, their usual tough exteriors softening into grins. Jack, sitting cross-legged on the floor, beamed, his face lighting up with pure joy. Even Cas, who had been quietly observing from the corner, allowed a rare smile to spread across his face, understanding the gravity of the moment.
Dean’s hand never left yours, his eyes locked on you as if he still couldn’t believe what was happening. “We’re really doing this”, he whispered softly, his voice full of love and a hint of disbelief.
You nodded, unable to stop the tears from flowing again, though this time they were tears of relief, happiness, and excitement for the future. “Yeah, we are”.
Sam, still holding the frame, finally found his voice again. “Dude, this is… this is incredible”. he said, his voice cracking slightly as he looked between you and Dean, his eyes misting over with pride. “I’m gonna be an uncle”.
Jody stood from her seat, stepping forward with a huge smile. “You two are going to be amazing parents”, she said warmly, her eyes shining with happiness. “This kid is already so loved”.
Claire let out a dramatic sigh from across the room, but there was no mistaking the affection in her tone. “Great, another Winchester to look after”, she teased with a smirk. “Just what we needed”.
Alex nudged Claire, rolling her eyes but laughing along. “Like you wouldn’t be first in line to babysit”.
Dean’s hand slowly wandered over your stomach, resting there as if he was already bonding with the little life growing inside you. He kept you close, his thumb lightly brushing your belly in a gentle, unconscious motion, and it sent a warmth through your entire body.
Then he looked over at Claire with that classic Dean Winchester smirk, teasingly raising an eyebrow. “Oh, you better believe you’re first in line for babysitting, Claire. You and Alex. It’s a Winchester tradition—gotta get you trained up for the dirty work early”.
Claire rolled her eyes dramatically, but her smile gave her away. “Yeah, right. I can already see it now—Dean and Y/N sneak out for a ‘quick hunt’ and I’m stuck with diaper duty”.
Dean chuckled, his eyes lighting up with amusement. “That’s the spirit! You’ll be a pro in no time, kid”.
Alex laughed from beside her, nudging Claire again. “Face it, Claire, you’re going to be Auntie Claire before you know it”.
Claire’s expression softened slightly, her tough exterior cracking just a little. “Yeah, well… I’ll do it, but only for the kid. Not for you, Dean”, she teased, crossing her arms.
Dean grinned, squeezing you closer as he shot Claire a wink. “Fair enough”.
Jack, who had been quietly observing with wide eyes, piped up from his spot on the floor. “I can help, too! I’ll keep the baby entertained, maybe teach them some… cool tricks”.
The entire room burst into laughter at that, and Dean’s hand squeezed your belly a little more, pulling you back into his chest with a look of mock concern. “Whoa, whoa, Jack. No angelic tricks around the baby just yet. We’re gonna need to stick with the basics first—like peek-a-boo, not teleporting”.
Jack nodded seriously, though the excitement in his eyes didn’t dim. “Right. No teleporting. Got it”.
Sam, still holding the framed ultrasound, smiled warmly as he watched the whole exchange, his gaze eventually landing back on you and Dean. “This kid’s going to be surrounded by more love—and more chaos—than it´ll know what to do with”.
Dean’s eyes softened as he met Sam’s gaze, the weight of the moment settling in once again. “Yeah”, he agreed, his voice quieter, more serious now. “That’s what family’s for, right?”.
You could feel Dean’s arm tighten around you protectively, and you leaned into him, feeling the overwhelming love and joy radiating from him. For so long, the idea of having a family seemed like an impossible dream for both of you, something that had been pushed aside in the face of all the danger and uncertainty. But now, sitting here surrounded by the people you loved, the dream was real.
Dean glanced down at you, his hand still resting protectively over your stomach, his expression softening into something deeper. “We’re really doing this”, he repeated, more to himself than anyone else, his eyes shining with quiet wonder.
You nodded, your hand resting on top of his as you smiled through your tears. “Yeah, Dean. We are”.
And in that moment, surrounded by your family and the warm glow of Christmas lights, everything felt right—like you were exactly where you were supposed to be. The future, as uncertain as it always seemed, felt full of hope and love. And as Dean held you close, his hand never leaving your belly, you knew that no matter what came next, you’d face it together.

God Bless America pt 2
Part One
Part Three
Author's notes: due to the slightest positive reaction I'm back on my bullshit again, you're welcome??
Soldier boy x f!Supe reader
Warnings: Mentions of cheating, mentions of sex, minors dni - for your own sake, pregnant women get horny too sometimes, dark fic, ben trying to assert dominance - too bad he's a bit of a simp for reader, mentions of a wedding, haven't ramped up to full smut yet but there's always time for that ;)
Find part one here xoxoxo
"Going to the chapel and we're gonna get married.." Ben sang quietly between sips of his beer - he had recently learned that smoking, was not in fact good for your health, let alone the baby's. He carried on cooking, ignoring your struggle against your restraints. The power-subduing cuffs still gracing your wrists, the gag pulled tight against your mouth. You were tied to the kitchen chair, a plate of chicken, potatoes and veg in front of you - whether you wanted it or not, you were going to eat it. It was good for you and the baby after all. Ben sat opposite you with his own plate of bacon, sausage and egg - an American meal for an American man. He looked at you with such content, such joy, he had you, right where he wanted you, all you had to do was comply. "So, baby, you gonna behave or what?"
You stilled, and nodded your head, you didn't need to be honest just no longer gagged and bound. Ben smiled and walked over, removing the gag and untying the rope that bound your arms to the chair. Although still cuffed you could now move your hands to pick up a knife and fork and eat - if you wanted to.
You quickly swallowed the excess saliva that had formed because of the gag and tried not to glare at him. Instead, you just bowed your head looking down at the plate of food. It was bland, the chicken unseasoned and the potatoes looked pale and meek, the vegetables practically soggy over how overcooked they were. Ben never was a good cook.
"Eat up, my son has to get his protein somehow." Ben told you as he took his seat opposite you.
"What about your daughter?" You posed, slowly taking a fork and pushing the mushy carrot around your plate in masked disgust. You knew of Ben's less-than-modern views, but you weren't afraid of them. In fact, you revelled in proving him wrong, in putting him in his place, it often led to more than favourable situations, situations that got you in the predicament that you were in right now.
"She'll need her protein too, to keep up with her old man of course," Ben responded with a smile, and you were at least somewhat comforted by the fact he didn't just ridicule the thought of having a daughter. "Though if she's anything like her mother, she'll be enough to keep me on my toes."
You couldn't help but laugh, an empty one, but a laugh nonetheless. It seemed to encourage him, that you were happy right now, happy to make conversation with him. When in reality you were just waiting, waiting for an opportunity to break free of the cuffs and give him hell.
"You're going to look so pretty in a wedding dress. Fucking divine." Ben commented before taking another sip of his beer, his eyes hungrily darting across your form. You averted your eyes, your heart beating faster under his watch. You were well aware that without your powers, Ben could very much just take what he wanted, and what he wanted right now was evident.
"You are going to have to practice your vows y'know, practice being committed to me till death do us part. No more hotel flings, honey." You told him sourly, and you could see him recoil. You took satisfaction in that and happily stabbed a piece of chicken before putting it in your mouth and chewed laboriously, it wasn't just the vegetables he overcooked.
"Hey, I told you I'm sorry for that, okay? It's never going to happen again, this, this changes things." Ben tried to assure you, pointing his fork at you accusingly, as if it was your fault for taking issue for such a matter.
"Oh so our baby is enough, but I wasn't? I get it Ben." You retorted, finally being able to swallow the driest piece of chicken you have ever had in your life. Ben slammed his hand down onto the table and you would have flinched, if you weren't so used to his dramatics.
"What is it going to take for you to believe me? Huh? I'm marrying you for god's sake-"
"-not by choice, can I add. Don't pretend that your decision to marry me is nothing but you trying to absolve yourself of your guilt or Vought's efforts in damage control." You practically spat, throwing your fork down, for the baby or not, you couldn't put yourself through another mouthful of that godforsaken chicken.
Ben violently stood up from the table and leaned across to you, taking issue with the smile that blossomed across your lips from his agitation. He grabbed your face with his hand and he forced you to look at him. "I am marrying you because I love you. And you love me. And my baby will be loved."
You took particular exception with his declaration that the baby was his, considering you were the one throwing up every morning, and it was messing with your hormones. You used your bound hands to lunge at his throat, and he quickly forced them back down with a brutish strength. To his detriment of course, as from the force of his actions, the cuffs broke against the table. No longer intact and no longer efficient in subduing your powers.
Ben seemed to realise his mistake and quickly retreated backwards, his hands flown up in a surrendering motion. You gasped as your powers returned to you, coursing through you in a form of ecstasy that rivalled anything else. Your eyes glowed in a surge of pure power and you turned to Ben with nothing less than an evil smile. Your powers matched his on a good day, but with this sudden resurgence and hormonal rage, he was putty in your hands - and he knew it.
"Ben, honey, how much did you say you loved me again?" You drawled, running a hand through your hair as you stalked towards him. All caution thrown to the wind, you were on an unparalleled high from days of withdrawal from your powers. Ben stalled and steadied himself against the kitchen counter. "And our baby of course."
"Tonnes, doll, tonnes. Only one for me." Ben quickly tried to assure you, he knew that considering his recent actions, woman or not, you were going to beat his ass, but you just laughed. Usually, he would mock those pussy-ass men who cowered in front of their woman, their bitch. But with the look in your eye, it was just pure survival at this point.
"Those are just words, Ben! Words!" You shouted at him, a hand remaining possessively on your stomach as you continued to walk towards him. "I need more than words Ben, we need more than words. Especially if we're going to get married."
Ben seemed to relax slightly at your concession of a wedding, but he did not at all fall for the bait of a false sense of security. "What do you want?"
"I want them dead. All of them." You responded starkly, your body close to his. Blame the hormones, blame the power rush, but you knew what you wanted. Your mouth then hovered over his ear. "Every bitch that you've bedded, every fling that's screamed your name, I want their head on a goddamn stick, their hearts in a fucking chocolate box. Call it an engagement present."
Ben swallowed thickly and nodded his head, it would be a long list but he was willing to do it, if it meant getting you back, if it meant getting the family he always wanted. You pulled back and looked deeply into his eyes, your head tilting in morbid contentment. Your eyes flickered down to his lips, and you pressed a harsh kiss against his lips. Your arms looping around his neck, your hand tangling in his hair.
Ben seemingly determined to regain some sort of control over the situation, swiped his tongue over your bottom lip before biting it when you didn't grant him access to your mouth. You gasped and allowed it, tugging on his hair violently in acknowledgement of his action. The two of you then engaged in a battle of dominance, that resulted in you getting put on the kitchen counter, thighs spread apart as you felt his hardening cock press against your core. But if Ben thought that he was getting his way, he was wrong.
With a determined shove to his chest, Ben stumbled backwards and looked at you with betrayed eyes. You wiped his saliva from your lip with your thumb and hopped off the counter. Striding towards him before putting a hand on his shoulder and the other grabbing his jaw.
"Sort out the affairs, and until then be grateful that I'm even touching you right now." With that, you released your grip, slapped his cheek lightly and walked off.
"Fucking woman." Ben huffed flipping the table in a fit of anger as he followed your leaving form. The food spilling across the room. You were right, you were always right, and it pissed him off. But that's why he loved you, he supposed, you never gave in to his bullshit beliefs and challenged him at every turn. Which is exactly why he wanted to bend you over, and the fuck the life out of you until all you could say was his name. But that wasn't going to happen until he sorted out those women. Seems like he had some work to get to.

Still, it didn’t take long for him to draw your attention away from the preparations, making it clear that you’re the only thing he cares about. (Soldier Boy x Reader, The Boys) [personal note: oh yeah, this hits the spot...something Ben is probably also saying at this very moment if not soon enough no doubt ;)]
Merry Christmas Sweetheart by @jawritter - Time doesn’t heal all wounds, sometimes it just drives them into our bones and festers there, until forgiveness is a four letter word, and it’s to late for second chances. 11th Day of Christmas
Christmas Baby
Summary/Prompt - Announcing your pregnancy at Christmas
Pairing - Jensen Ackles x Reader
Christmas Masterlist | Masterlist
You’re sitting on the couch by the flickering electric fireplace cuddling up with your husband who is finally finished filming and conventions for the year. His hands rub comforting circles over your small, growing bump. The two of you are the only ones who know about it. You’ve managed to keep it a secret way longer than you originally anticipated but you just haven’t wanted the extra stress of the paparazzi trying to get a picture, so you’ve mostly stayed at home. Except your days of hiding must come to an end tomorrow. You and Jensen will be driving up to Dallas to spend Christmas with his family in the morning and you’re bound to get seen along the way. Not to mention that his family will know the second they see you. You’re only four months in, but with two little babies growing inside you, you started showing early.
“I like our little bubble. Do we have to pop it tomorrow?” you ask, breaking the comfortable silence.
“We’re not breaking the bubble, we’re just letting more people in. It’s my family, they’re going to be so excited. My mom just may be a little disappointed we didn’t tell her earlier. They will be her first grandbabies after all.”
“I’m just worried they’re gonna say it’s all too soon. We’ve only been married for just over six months.”
“Yeah, it happened fast, but it’s our life and I don’t regret it. Do you?”
You shake your head. “That night or getting pregnant with twins?”
“Either.”
You shake your head again. “Neither.”
“Then it doesn’t matter what anyone else thinks.”
You put your hands on top of his. “I love you. I’m so glad you’re home.”
“I’m all yours till the end of January. I mean, I’m always yours, but…”
“I know. I don’t know if I’m ready to share you with two more…”
“We got a few more months yet.”
“I know.”
He kisses your head softly. “Come on. We’ve got a big day tomorrow. Let’s go to bed.”
You scoot off his lap and he gets up. Jensen turns off the fireplace and lights and double checks the doors are locked before coming back to you. He holds his hands out to you and you take them letting him help you up. He pulls you in close and kisses you before leading you upstairs.
─── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ───
While the drive up to Dallas is only around three hours long you feel exhausted sitting in the passenger seat. Jensen tries to distract you by singing loudly along with his playlist and rubbing your thigh. You laugh at him and are forever grateful. You’re beyond anxious about seeing his family in your current state, and you know he knows it and is trying to support you as much as possible.
As you get closer to Dallas your anxiety bubbles up even more. Your leg starts to bounce. He turns the music down.
“Hey, you know they love you. I’m sure they’ll be happy, excited even.”
“Maybe we should have told everyone earlier. It would be easier if…”
“Maybe we should, maybe we shouldn’t. We’re doing it today, on our terms. In our way.”
“I just don’t want your family to hate me or think that I forced you into this, or hate you because of me.”
Jensen finds a safe place to pull over and then looks over at you. He takes your hands in his. “Listen to me. You didn’t force anything on me. I have always been fully onboard. I want this. I want you and I want a family with you. No one is going to think otherwise, I won’t let them. It takes two to tango and if anyone says anything to you I’ll make sure they know that.”
“Thank you. I love you.”
He leans over and kisses you. “I love you too. I can’t wait to show you and that sexy bump off to my family.”
Sensing that you’re finally less stressed he puts the car back into gear and pulls back onto the freeway.
Less than an hour later he pulls a park in the familiar driveway. There are two other cars in the front yard already, so you figure his siblings must have beat you there. Your anxiety begins to bubble up again at the thought of facing everyone at once. You know it’s mostly irrational and that they’re all lovely people and you all get along well but you can’t help your anxiety. Noticing the new wave instantly, Jensen shuts the engine off and grabs your hands.
“Hey, look at me. I’m right here with you. I got you.” You look into his eyes and he leans over and kisses your cheek. “Come on. I know Josh and Mac are here early but it will be okay. They love you too. Sure they might tease, but it’ll be directed way more at me.”
“Alright, can we just get it over and done with already?”
“Come on then, Baby Momma. Let’s go.” He hops out of the car and walks around to get your door and help you out. He wraps an arm around your waist and leads you to the door. He knocks loudly and waits for someone to answer. He knows he could just go in, but he also knows you feel much more comfortable waiting, so he waits. He kisses the top of your head just as the door opens.
“Jensen! Y/N! Welcome, come in!” his mom says as she opens the door. She gives you both a hug and then looks you up and down. She gives you both a knowing look but doesn’t say anything.
Jensen takes your hand, squeezes it and leads you inside following his mother. In the living room, you greet his father and siblings. They each take turns hugging you both and then you take a seat on the couch. You deliberately wore an oversized jacket to hide the bump but with the fire burning in the corner, it’s very warm. Jensen notices and offers to take your jacket and hang it up but you shake your head.
Not knowing how else to ease your anxiety he pats your knee and then stands up pulling you with him. “I know we’re all here for Christmas but Y/N and I actually have an announcement we’d like to make.” He takes your coat then and drapes it over the back of the couch before placing a hand on your stomach.
His mother gasps happily. “I’m gonna be a grandmother?”
You both nod. Then you add, “Times two…”
“Twins?” Mackenzie squeals.
You both nod again.
“You two always have been in a rush,” his dad says as he stands up.
You bite your lip, but he comes over and gives you both another hug and then everyone else joins in. They all take turns congratulating you and feeling the small bump. You know then that your anxiety was misplaced and are reminded that you chose the right man with a good family.
Jensen kisses your cheek and then says, “Yeah, well, when you find the right one, why wait?”

That's Not On The Script
In which you go a little off script.
Ships: JensenxPregnant!Reader
Reader Gender: Female
Reader Age: 25+
WARNINGS: mentions of premarital sex (is that even a warning?), the reader is pregnant, sandwich scenario is heavily based off of an incident that occurred when my cousin was pregnant, character reader plays is named Lora
-There Is No Road So Far So We're Jumping Right In-
"Goddammit Lora!" Jensen, or more Dean, said with obvious frustration is his voice. "I can't read minds! Just tell me what the problem is. You've been acting so different lately, hell if I didn't know any better I'd say you were possessed."
I glared at him fiercely, crossing my arms. "There isn't a problem Dean, you're just looking for things to criticize."
He laughed humorlessly. "If that's the case then I don't have to look very hard. You don't think I've noticed? You avoiding me? Running out of the room when I come in? Is it because you regret it, that night?"
My eyes had gone glossy as he spoke and for a moment I forgot we were only acting. Although it was easy to forget, after all Lora and Dean were in the same situation Jensen and I were in. In the last season, filmed about four months ago, Lora and Dean had hooked up on the show and the sexual tension that had occurred while filming got to the both Jensen and I and we slept together. Only, much like Dean and Lora, Jensen and I refused to bring it up. Except now, in the scene where Lora was supposed to admit that she had fallen in love with Dean except that isn't what came out of my mouth.
"I'm pregnant, okay?" It was quiet, I don't think anyone had expected me to say that. "And you're the father," I added in a whisper.
Jensen stared at me mouth open in shock. "But that night... we used protection." I don't know if he was continuing the scene or if he was speaking as Jensen, either way I continued.
"I know," I choked out, "but it must've torn or something and now -" a sob broke out, "-now there's this baby growing inside me and I can't bring myself to get rid of it."
Jensen stepped forward and wiped the tears rolling down my cheeks, then his hands went to my stomach. As he placed them there I was sure he could feel the small bump that was concealed by the baggy flannel I wore. "And I would never ask you to. We'll get through this, okay? You, me and," he looked to my stomach, "our baby."
"Cut!" Both our heads snapped to look at Robert and the rest of the crew, they all stood there staring at us.
"Wow," Robert told us walking closer to us. "That was unexpected but it works. When did you two discuss changing the scene."
I looked to my shoes. "We didn't."
"Wait you mean..." he trailed off looking between Jensen and I.
"Yeah, I really am pregnant."
-Line Break-
I smiled warmly, placing my hands on my swollen abdomen as I watched the boys answer another question in that funny way that only they could pull off.
"Y/N," I looked to the young blonde girl that had spoken and nodded indicating that she continue. "I was wondering is you could tell us how Jensen reacted when he found out about you know the whole pregnancy thing?"
I laughed, as did Jensen and the rest of the cast. "Well, I assume you've watched the latest episode?" She nodded. "That scene where Lora reveals the pregnancy to Dean is also when I revealed that I was pregnant."
Her mouth fell open. "So that was genuine, no lines or scripts or anything?"
I shook my head. "In the script Lora was supposed to admit that she had fallen for Dean but I kinda broke character and it slipped out."
"The best is that everyone else thought that we'd talked about it before shooting and Y/N had to explain that nope, she's actually pregnant."
"Jared punched Jensen," Misha added.
The blonde looked perplexed. "Why?"
"Y/N is my little sister and best friend or not no one can sleep with my baby sister and face no repercussions," Jared explained.
Misha started laughing remembering what had followed after Jared punched Jensen. The crowd and cast alike stared art him in curiosity. "Y/N's reaction to the punch," he said as if that would explain it.
J2 both started laughing at the memory and I flushed, embarrassed at what I had done. The fan that had asked the original question glanced between all of us looking intrigued. "What happened?"
"Do you want to tell them or should I?" Jensen asked me teasingly.
I flushed further and shook my head, unable to speak of the embarrassing moment aloud. "All right, I'll tell them," he laughed. "So I had just been given a good right hook in the face by sasquatch over there then Y/N burst into sobs and stormed off. Misha, Jared and I followed after her (albeit in a bit of pain on my part). We met her at the kitchen and she was making a sandwich but she was still heavily sobbing. Being the oh so clever older brother Jared stepped forward-"
"Something you didn't do," Jared said cutting off his co-star.
"Are you kidding? I'd rather take on a demon than approach a crying hormonal woman. What you do is ward them off with hot bubble baths and chocolate until they calm down and then admit that you're wrong about whatever they're upset about ," Jensen explained as if it were a science he had perfected. "Anyway, Jared stepped forward and the next thing you know there's a moose covered in tuna, mayo and bread in the middle of the kitchen. Y/N is screaming at Jared that he's her least favourite Supernatural character and that she wished his character would be cursed to turn into a moose for the rest of the show. Misha and I just stood there, the rest of the crew must've heard the commotion because they were there too. And after 20 minutes of angry Y/N she turns around and offers to make everyone sandwiches."
"Did you guys have her make the sandwiches?" A fan called out over the laughter.
"Are you kidding? She had just thrown bread and tuna mayo at Jared, we weren't going to risk saying no," Jensen quipped good naturedly. He then proceeded to put an arm around me and rest his hand atop my swollen belly. "No but seriously, despite all the hormonal rage fits and the crying when she couldn't get a scene right I couldn't ask for a better baby mommy. Which is why," he removed his arm from around me and slipped onto one knee, "I'd like to make this official. Y/N L/N, Lora Pierce, Chipmunk, would you do me the honour of becoming my wife."
My hand had gone over my mouth in shock by the end of his proposal and tears blurred my vision as I caught sight of the ring he held in his hand.
"Y/N?" He asked worriedly after a beat of silence.
"Okie dokie," I squeaked out.
-Bonus-
Misha stood up and pointed at me as if accusing me of something. We all looked at him. "That was part of a Destiel fan fiction!"
Laughter broke out throughout the hall.
