We, as a society, don't talk enough about that scene where Troy, Annie and Abed are putting on a shadow puppet show for Jeff and Britta, and Jeff starts crying when Horsebot 3000 dies

Less controversial opinion:
SANTA CLARITA DIET: Genuinely hilarious if sometimes icky sitcom starring Drew Barrymore and Tim Olyphant as Joel and Sheila Hammond, SoCal real estate agents whose bubblegum-sweet romance and perpetually chipper demeanor hardly falter when Sheila somehow becomes an undead thing with poor impulse control and a hunger for human flesh. Not as gross as it sounds — albeit sometimes still quite gross — but very funny, and an unexpectedly delightful showcase for the chemistry and comedic timing of Barrymore and Olyphant (who also produced). Liv Hewson, later a costar on YELLOWJACKETS, shines as the Hammonds' snarky teenage daughter Abby, a budding ecoterrorist who's far less clueless about her parents' grisly recent activities than Joel and Sheila would like to think.
Body count aside, the show's biggest weakness is probably its convoluted mythology, which repeatedly hints at a larger explanation for what's happened to Sheila that remains cryptic and largely unexplained by the end of the third and final season. However, unlike YELLOWJACKETS (which borrows liberally from this show at several points), DIET benefits greatly from knowing when to pivot or introduce new complications before a given plot thread turns stale. In that sense, it was probably best that it wasn't renewed for a fourth season, since it appeared to be on the verge of making a big, probably imprudent shift in the basic premise.

@offbrand-tbt (sickos voice) yes... hehehe... YES... putting this in an actual post because i don’t think i can accurately explain them in like. reply limit
they joined the deus’s (fantasy train) crew at about the same time, geoff after a… midlife crisis?? third-thru-life crisis? Divorce. and merx after getting horrifically betrayed in the gladiator arena by their only ally and also getting their arm mangled a productive career elsewhere. don’t even worry about it. geoff is rather understandably 🤨 about this but decides, rather…. ununderstandably, that the best solution to this is to ferret it out of them by becoming friends. this actually works, because they’re both kind of bitches and also fucked up in a similar enough way that there are no annoying questions like “why do you do that” or “holy fuck are you good”. (the thing you need to understand about Geoff is there is no “justification” for him being like this. he’s just a fairly average guy that independently of any Events turned out kinda strange. it happens.) however in the most practical way it also Spectacularly Backfires, because merx is still not getting into the deets only now BOTH of them feel guilty for prying into (geoff) and not opening up to (merx) someone they care for big time and, well. suffice to say this comes back to bite them spectacularly in the ass

#Marco-Marathon | The Crow
Film Name: The Crow (1994); Production Studios: Image Comics, Miramax, Pressman Film, Jeff Most Productions, Crowvision Inc., Entertainment Media Investment Corporation; Director by: Alex Proyas; Screenwriter: David J. Schow, John Shirley; Starring: Brandon Lee, Michael Wincott, Ernie Hudson, Rochelle Davis, David Patrick Kelly; Genres: Horror, Action, Criminal, Drama; Running Time: 1 hour 42 minutes;
"The Crow" (1994) is a gothic action film with a dark atmosphere and impressive visual style. Brandon Lee gives a brilliant performance as Eric Draven, a musician who returns from the dead to avenge his death and the murder of his fiancee. His performance, enhanced by the actor's tragic death during filming, adds mythological depth to the film. A stylish image of the city and a strong soundtrack create a unique atmosphere, but the plot is sometimes simplified.
Four stars - powerful visually, but somewhat predictable in plot.
My rating:
⭐⭐⭐⭐

"I wouldn't know. Maybe."
"But why? Have you so little time to spare?"

AHHHHHHHHHH!!!
So Matt specifically mentions the Captain and the Bosun of the Ellen Austin. We already know that Huck is playing Morgan Reese, the bosun, so this basically confirms that Jeff is the Captain, right? RIGHT???
