NTA Replaces CBSE for all Entrance Examinations in India
2018 would be remembered as the landmark year in the history of Indian education sector. Many experimental and significant proposals in the field of education have been brought into action by the Government in a hope of increasing efficiency and transparency in country’s educational system. One of the major moves is setting up of National Testing Agency (NTA). NTA is a statutory body, which has been approved by Union Cabinet for conducting entrance examinations of JEE, NEET, CTET, UGC NET, etc. Till date, these exams were conducted by The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). CBSE is a Board of Education for public and private schools, under the Union Government of India. The agency would take over the examinations which are currently being conducted by CBSE and eventually cover other entrance examinations too. The setting up of NTA would allow students to have access to one standardized test and also the uneven difficulty level in various sittings in an exam can be eliminated.
The main purpose of the NTA is to relieve Central Board of Secondary Education from its duties of conducting entrance examinations so that it could focus on improving the quality of higher education in country. NTA, would conduct the entrance exams twice a year from 2019 onwards. As a result of which those, who are not able to qualify for the entrance examination in the first attempt, can go for another attempt without wasting a year. Earlier, students used to remain disappointed due to wastage of time.

IIT JEE EXAMS RESULT, PATTERN, CUTOFF, FEES.
Joint Entrance Examination – Advanced (JEE-Advanced), formerly the Indian Institutes of Technology-Joint Entrance Examination (IIT-JEE), is an academic examination held annually in India.
JEE is a national level exam taken for the admission in B. Tech or B. E. and IIT is a chain of colleges, where you can study engineering or other courses. If you want admission in IIT in B. Tech then you must give JEE.
It is conducted by one of the seven zonal IITs (IIT Roorkee, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Delhi, IIT Kanpur, IIT Bombay, IIT Madras, and IIT Guwahati) under guidance of the Joint Admission Board (JAB). It is the sole prerequisite for admission in the Indian Institutes of Technology.
The first institute of IIT, Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, started in 1951. In its initial few years (1951-1954), students were admitted on the basis of their academic results followed by an Interview in several centers across the country.
The IIT-JEE was conducted for the first time in 1961[4]when it had four subjects including an English language test. The examination since evolved considerably from its initial pattern. The IIT-JEE was initially called the Common Entrance Exam (CEE); its creation coincided with the 1961 IIT Act.[5]
JEE—(Joint Entrance Examination) is an Exam.
IIT- (Indian Institute of Technology) basically, IIT's are colleges.
IIT's has been the most prestigious colleges across the country in engineering field, every single student who dreams to become an engineer wants to do his engineering from such renowned colleges like IIT's.
Yes, you read that right! There are several IIT colleges in our country. If you are interested to write this exam you must read further things.
JEE Main is for those candidates who wish to get into BE or B.Tech courses in the National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), other Centrally Funded Technical Institutes (CFTIs) and engineering colleges of the participating states. The JEE Main is also the eligibility test that allows students to give the JEE
Advanced exam which eventually leads to admission in either the IITs or the Indian School of Mines (ISM).
The JEE Main is comprised of two papers, namely, Paper 1 and Paper 2. The Paper 1 is for those who would want admission in BE and B.Tech courses and Paper 2 is for those who want admission in B.Arch and B.Planning courses. While Paper 1 is held via the online and offline mode, Paper 2 is held only offline. While applying for the JEE Main exam, the candidates must specify if they want to appear for Paper 1 or Paper 2 or both.
JEE Advanced, on the other hand, is strictly paper-based. The candidates must sit for both Paper 1 and Paper 2 in this exam to get admission into engineering courses.
PATTERN OF EXAMS
Mains is an exam of 360 marks. If you are aiming for 150 marks or less, as you mentioned in the question then I assume you are aware that with these marks-
You will most probably qualify to give jee advance. If you fail to qualify advance you will land up nowhere with these marks. Now coming back to your question-
If you are aiming for <150 score, then there are many chaps you can avoid and many you can focus on. They are -
PHYSICS
All chapters/lab manuals having topics related to errors and measurement and the expt.s prescribed in the mains syllabus Modern physics chapters - photoelectric effect and nuclear physics SHM Optics - geometrical optics as well as wave optics AC Chapters specially in mains, and not in advance like semiconductor physics, etc CHEMISTRY
p block groups - 15 to 18 d and f blocks Metallurgy Co-ordination compounds Electrochemistry Chemical kinetics Qualitative analysis (from lab manual) Chemical bonding Chemical equilibrium Thermodynamics Solid state Organic chemistry basics Biomolecules and chem. in everyday life MATHEMATICS
Matrices Permutations and combinations Probability Limits Complete calculus Basic trigonometry Vector - 3D Parabola These are most important topics for mains and you will mostly find a chapter for each topic in ncer. Also remember- every year about 250-300 marks questions can be answered just after reading ncert thoroughly. Pay special attention for chemistry and read the entire textbooks (all years) as last year the chemistry section derived heavily from the book.
Also, ncert material is the best to prepare for mains

JEE Main Previous Year Papers
JEE Main Question Paper
JEE Main exam syllabus consists of three subjects - Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Solving previous years' question papers and mock tests is very important for students preparing for this competitive examination.
Aspiring JEE Main aspirants can access the jee main previous year papers and solutions in online formats on the Extramarks website. In addition, students can refer to question papers with answer keys and explanations for previous academic years 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020.
Introduction to the Exam:
The JEE is an engineering entrance examination held in India to determine eligibility for admission to various engineering colleges. It has two different phases: the JEE Main and the JEE Advanced.
Based on a student's JEE Main and JEE Advanced rank, the Joint Seat Allocation Authority conducts the joint admission process for 23 IIT colleges, 25 Indian Institute of Information Technology colleges, 31 National Institute of Technology campuses, and 19 other Government Funded Technical Institutes (GFTIs).
To get more information about JEE Main 2022, students can check out articles related to JEE Main exam date, JEE Main application form process, JEE Main eligibility criteria, etc., on the Extramarks website.
JEE Main Exam Syllabus
The JEE Main exam syllabus is based on 11th and 12th class subjects mapped to the NCERT textbooks. Students can also analyse important chapters and topics by referring to past JEE Main question papers.
JEE Main Question Paper Solving & Exam Preparation Tips
Below are a few general best practices advised by experts for achieving high scores in JEE Main question papers:
Problem-solving skills are important for cracking the JEE main question paper as they help you solve more problems in less time. When you practise logic puzzles or games like Sudoku, your problem-solving skills improve automatically. When you play chess and mathematics puzzles, you will conceive several alternate problem-solving approaches. As a result, you'll be less likely to run out of problem-solving strategies for the JEE exam.
In the JEE Main question paper, you do not need to complete all the questions with specific methods. Instead, for some problems, attempt backtracking techniques with the given answers. This backtracking method saves time because it eliminates the need to compute all the steps to arrive at the correct result.
Using a stopwatch to record the time taken to solve a problem during JEE main question papers will be highly beneficial to JEE aspirants. It will assist you in reaching your maximum problem-solving speed and attempting the maximum number of questions possible on the JEE exam day.
Learning the formulae and theorems from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics is the most important thing you can do. You can devote more time to calculate the answer when you spend the least time digging for the proper formula to solve an issue.
Before you solve a question, try to create mind maps with the data and values. Mind maps will assist you in visualising various problem-solving strategies, reducing the time spent on the trial-and-error method.
It is recommended that candidates prepare and rely on JEE Main revision notes for all subjects to speed up their revision process.
JEE Main Physics Preparation Tips
Physics is all about logic and concepts. The subject can become more difficult, especially when the questions become more conceptual. It is a section that many JEE Main aspirants hate, and most of them quit physics very quickly. For the same reason, knowing the difficulty level and weightage of various topics is critical for Physics.
JEE Main Chemistry Preparation tips
Many students love chemistry because it is comparatively easy and helps score good marks. Physical chemistry, Organic, and Inorganic are the three segments of chemistry.
Chemistry necessitates a combination of analytical and memory abilities. Physical chemistry questions are fully analytical, inorganic chemistry questions need memorisation, and organic chemistry questions are sometimes mixed.
JEE Main Mathematics preparation tips
Because of many topics, JEE Main Mathematics is regarded to have a vast syllabus. Furthermore, the Mathematics syllabus for JEE Main, Advanced, and Board exams is slightly different. Therefore, managing the subject becomes incredibly difficult for aspirants. To overcome this obstacle, applicants must think strategically and concentrate on the topics with the highest weightage.
Guidelines for JEE Main Exam Day:
Students should visit the exam centre a day before the JEE Main exam date to familiarise themselves with the location. Arriving an hour early at the exam centre will help you avoid issues.
A physical copy of their JEE Main admit card and a valid photo ID are required.
Avoid taking any electronic devices, jewellery, watches, and similar items as these are prohibited in the exam hall.
Do’s and Don’ts for JEE Main Exam:
Do’s
Start by answering the more straightforward and medium problems. The candidate's confidence will boost, and they will be able to improve their JEE Main score.
Double-check everything before you mark the OMR document.
Take a sufficient number of Mock Online JEE exams from a reputable source if you have registered for JEE in an online format.
Don'ts
Don't worry if you find the paper challenging; your overall performance matters. As a result, put your most analytical mind to work; it will help you progress.
Don't start with a question you don't know the answer to.
