Blog Mundo de Cinema: SEGURANÇA EM JOGO Sinopse: Após ajudar a evitar um ataque terrorista um veterano de guerra recebe a missão de proteger a ministra que foi uma das responsáveis pelo conflito em que ele lutou. Crítica: A sensação da BBC deste ano não é fenômeno à toa mas por entender a importância de comentar a situação contemporânea da Inglaterra (em especial o terrorismo e a vigilância e redução da privacidade) em uma narrativa que valoriza mais o suspense do que o bom senso. Isto sem dispensar um protagonista intenso determinado e ironicamente irritante considerada a maneira com que obedece a certos procedimentos à risca. Sendo assim o ator Richard Madden tem uma daquelas oportunidades de ouro injetando em David Budd tamanha desconfiança que chegamos a achar que ele próprio está escondendo o jogo de nós espectadores. O roteiro é embaralhado o bastante para que entendamos como as engrenagens do poder e da impunidade são lubrificadas através do sangue da corrupção em múltiplos níveis de hierarquia mas não a ponto de parecer incompreensível ou digerível apenas com textões de blogs explicando cada ponto. E ainda que possamos torcer o nariz com determinadas decisões e reviravoltas do roteiro (algumas bem forçadas embora haja outras corajosas) ao menos este funciona como um relógio suíço na arte de construir tensão e extrair seus frutos em episódios eletrizantes (como o primeiro e o último). LINE OF DUTY (LoD) is a UK police procedural #TV show focusing on cop corruption, created and written by #JedMercurio. Running for 6 series now, its 'Who is H?' storyline has kept the nation talking, with nearly 10m viewers for its most recent finale ✒✒✒ . LoD is best known for its iconic interrogation scenes, where accused cops must justify their decisions and defend their actions. These are known to be highly tense, with many reversals of expectations on both sides. Interrogation scenes are very popular in spec #screenplays too, but rarely reach the heights of a produced show like LoD (or equivalent #movies like #Prisoners) ✒✒✒ . There is good reason for this. New #screenwriters rarely understand what a good interrogation scene is for - revealing character and pushing the story forward. Instead they will use them as exposition dumps to 'catch up' the audience on the storyline. It is no accident then many newer #writers accuse interrogation scenes like those in LoD of being 'static'. Nope, they are CONTAINED. There is plenty going on in these scenes - chrs moving in and out of the room; visuals of chrs' discomfort or triumph; hidden movements under the table etc. This is why said scenes are so tense and work so well.
