So I recently found a channel that has all seasons of Power Rangers in it, and have been rewatching MY favorite one (aka Samurai)
I have been digging Mike x Emily for a while but WHY IS EPISODE 16 (the one Emily loses her soul) MAKING ME LOVE THEM EVEN MORE
LIKE I'M SORRY
"Mike I know you like Emily... We all do" LIKE WHY DID YOU HAVE TO SEPARATE HIM FROM YOU ALL?? HUH???
"The person I want to save now is Emily" AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
(Love Jayden x Antonio too, but that's a different topic)
Anyway, best season, was my favorite growing up and will forever be (is it mostly because I LOVE the fits? Yes, I won't lie)
#power rangers samurai#power rangers#do they have last names besides jayden and mia?#emily#mike#kevin#jayden shiba#antonio garcia#mia watanabe#love them so much#i don't like Mia x Kevin that much but I see the vision#jayden and Antonio have my heart too#but mike and emily is OTP love them more than everyone#sorry I freaked out a little#i feel like a teen again#i loved this season so much when I was younger and all that love is coming back#i remembered Antonio's last name yay

"They might be doomed by the narrative, but at least they had gay sex."
-Mia, looking through pictures on her phone of when Kevin and Mike were stuck together, as well as pictures of Jayden and Antonio just...staring at each other when in the middle of making breakfast and the like.

Part 1 | Part 2
The living room was completely silent when Mentor Ji had finished telling the rangers of the origin of the orange ranger, where the power had been since they first left the battle and how it returned to the Shiba house a little over a decade ago.
Mike grumbled as he finally took a seat, Kevin settling down beside him.
"It must've been really hard. The responsibility must have really weighed down on them, and the guilt-carrying a generational burden like that–" Mike interrupted Mia.
"That still doesn't explain why they're fighting on the enemy's side."
"Do you have any idea why, Ji?" Emily spoke up.
Mentor shook his head. It was clear to the rangers that he wasn't able to think clearly in that moment. He was disappointed in himself. He failed to protect you and your family back then, and now he was struggling in his duty to the rangers now.
Mia moved to sit beside him before placing her hand on his shoulder in an attempt to comfort him.
Kevin spoke up, gaining everyone's attention as he stood abruptly. "They're probably being influenced by a nighlock, right? I mean–they didn't even react when they saw Jayden."
"What if it's not them? I mean-It's been years since they've gone missing...what if it's someone else?" Emily presented a possible theory. Each ranger considered this might be the case, but she had been the first to say it out loud.
The front door swung open as Jayden finally returned inside, wiping off the sweat he had worked up with his towel before letting it fall around his shoulders. They all gave him sympathetic looks. Clenching his jaw momentarily, he turned his head away and spoke.
"There's no doubt in my mind that it's them. Their fighting techniques are too familiar..." Jayden trailed off as he recalled the countless hours the both of you spent honing your skills.
Mentor Ji finally stood up and cleared his throat. He was fighting back tears, the tremble in his voice clear.
"I'll do some reading to find out information about the nighlock we're up against. If you'll excuse me." He quickly rushed off to his room.
"Should someone check to make sure that he's okay?"
"I think we should give him some time alone." Everyone agreed.
An awkward silence then enveloped the room. It was mostly clear that everyone wanted to know about you; how you and Jayden met, the kind of relationship the both of you shared, and most importantly...what you were like. It had been a few months since the team formed and in that time there had not been any mention of you, even by accident.
There hadn't even been any pictures of you anywhere in the house, yet there had been multiple of the rangers scattered in the common areas.
They silently turned to Mike, knowing that he was the bravest among all of them when it came to talking to Jayden. He shook his head in protest. Even he knew that it was a very sensitive topic, and right now, it was unclear how their leader would react.
Jayden picked up on the silent conversation between his team, leading him to break the silence.
"It would be best to deal with the situation at hand first. We must not let our emotions get in the way of our mission." He said simply before making his way to his room. He had successfully avoided the conversation entirely.
Emily let out a breath she didn't even realise she had been holding. "That was intense."
"I'm going to get started on lunch." Mia broke away to the kitchen, this time, no one seemed to pay her much attention.
Kevin turned to the bookshelf beside him, noticing that the book Mentor needed had been left behind. Sighing, he grabbed it and opened it up on the table, and with Mike and Emily's help, quickly skimmed it to see if they could find anything useful.
⋆˚✿˖° 𐙚 ₊ ⊹ ♡
3 YEARS AGO - The night of your disappearance
Jayden flinched when the front door collided against the wall harshly. He had been sitting on the small stair in front of the door, his arms wrapped around his knees to secure them against his chest.
After revealing that you had run off, Mentor quickly made a few phone calls, checking on the boy every few minutes but still leaving him to his thoughts.
Jayden had hoped that you would change your mind before getting too far, but the more time passed, the less hopeful he became.
Your father rushed in through the door, the sound of his crutches hitting harshly against the wooden floorboards creating an echo through the house.
"Ji!" The man called out angrily.
Sensing the anger in his voice, Jayden quickly wiped his stray tears and sniffled, before rushing to his room. In that moment, the only thing he could do was hide under the covers and conceal the small noises that came from him.
He didn't want anyone to worry about him right now. If they worried about him, then it would distract everyone away from finding you and getting you home safely.
Ji quickly rushed to where your father stood his ground in the foyer.
"You promised you'd keep them safe, Ji." His voice quivered as he put even more pressure on his crutch, the pain shooting up his leg.
Ji sighed before walking over to your father to help him to the living room. He harshly pulled away, and made his own way. His steps were frantic and heavy, a sign of his own exhaustion, worry, and frustration.
He pushed the crutches aside, heaving as he let his body fall slowly to the cushion.
"How could you? I trusted you." Your father turned his gaze to meet his friends', but just as quickly, he looked away.
A lump formed in his throat. He just couldn't get the words out.
He balled up his fists in frustration.
Naturally, he would be the one to receive all the blame for anything that happened to you and Jayden because he had been entrusted with that responsibility.
But this?
This was unforgivable.
He had been so distracted by the phone call he shared with the rangers, that he hadn't even considered that you would run off. He should've known that...
"The others will be there soon enough to help Cyan and your wife, we just have to trust them." He mustered up the courage to meet your father's gaze. He didn't have the slightest idea what you had planned to do once you arrived on the battle field, so he refrained from giving any updates regarding you.
His phone vibrated in his pocket, and held it against his ear. After prompting the person on the other end to continue, he occasionally hummed in response.
Your father ran his hand through his hair as he grew increasingly frustrated. He came to terms with the fact that the both of them wouldn't get anywhere with everything that was happening, so he mentally decided to take things into his own hands, even if it killed him. He wasn't going to lose his family tonight. Not now. Not ever.
Just as he moved to grab his crutch, Mentor's grip on his phone loosened, until it crashed to the ground. Your father turned to him, asking him what happened. The look on his face told your father everything he needed to know. He crashed to his knees and wailed loudly.
Jayden cupped his hands over his ears even more tightly as more and more tears fell.
⋆˚✿˖° 𐙚 ₊ ⊹ ♡
He cupped his head in his hands as all the memories he had kept hidden away from himself of that night, raced back in his mind. It had been easy to keep his emotions in check, because he had always believed that Jayden's mattered more.
He remembered the phone call he had received in the middle of the night from the former blue ranger telling him that your mother and brother had not survived the battle. He remembered how he left the Shiba house in a hurry. He remembered the white cloths that had covered the bodies signifying their end.
They did look for you, but you were nowhere to be found.
Your father hadn't given up yet.
For the next few months, he repeatedly went to the places he knew you had loved hoping you had sought refuge, too afraid to come home. He just hoped that he would see you again, letting you know it was safe to come home–that he wasn't angry that you ran into the battlefield unprepared.
After distancing himself from his former life as a ranger and everyone associated with it, he secluded himself in his home, too exhausted at the lack of progress.
At the beginning, he imagined that burying his wife and his oldest son would the hardest thing he would ever do in his life–it was, until the thought that you were somewhere out there, alive and alone, consumed him.
How was he supposed to move on with his life with the thought gnawing at the back of his head?
Mentor calmed himself and without delay, he approached his nightstand and dug up the old phone he had stored away. Turning it on, he dialed the familiar number, waiting as the phone rang.
⋆˚✿˖° 𐙚 ₊ ⊹ ♡
Jayden sauntered back into his room after taking a hot shower. Droplets of water gathered at the tips of his hair, catching them with his towel as he rubbed it against his hair.
This was absolutely needed. His muscles had been feeling a bit tense with the increase in battles, and additional training. However, today had him exerting himself even more than he normally would.
His eyes trailed to his desk, the drawer he had opened countless times before now weighed heavily on him. It had been easy to let go when there had been no mention of you, but now...
He hesitantly pulled on the handle and rummaged behind a small stack of books and other niknaks he struggled to get rid of. He sucked in a short breath as his finger tips made contact with the small, rectangular box.
It was hard for him to recall when he had last looked inside at its contents. After months of desperately waiting for any information regarding your whereabouts, and being disappointed each time the older rangers gave him pitying looks, he had considered giving the ring away. Someone probably could've put it to good use anyway.
He changed his mind immediately after, never entertaining the idea again.
Now, it had found its home in his drawer, collecting dust as the years went by.
He didn't even know what to make of it anymore after overhearing what the others had discussed right before he walked in. That was just one more possibility he had to prepare himself for.
For now, all he would focus on was recovering both the missing samuraizer and zord. He tossed the box back into the drawer before closing it harshly, and made his way back to the living room to help with whatever the others needed him to.

The samurai rangers meeting Mentor Ji adopted son for the first time who's he around their age. Who the male rangers fall hard for him
When Mentor Ji mentioned that his adoptive son was coming to the Shiba House for three weeks, the samurai rangers were excited to meet someone from their Mentor's family. He never talked about his family that much, so not even Jayden, or Lauren could provide any information about his son. Mike made the comment on how he hoped there wouldn't be two Mentor Ji's after them.
Though, the guy who showed up on a motorcycle and leather jacket was something the samurai rangers never expected to see. Y/N was gorgeous and Emily, Mia, and Lauren giggled as they watched him pull his motorcycle helmet off as he smiled.
"Y/N, my son," Mentor Ji said as he went to hug him and the young man hugged him back.
"Good to see you, father." Y/N smiled as he looked at all the samurai rangers, one by one. "Oh, and who are all these beautiful people?"
"Y/N. These are the samurai rangers. Rangers this is my son, Y/N L/N."
"Nice to meet you all. Especially you lovely ladies." Y/N went up to Emily and kissed her hand like a gentleman as Emily blushed and giggled. Mike was jealous. And it wasn't of Y/N flirting with Emily. It was Emily getting Y/N's attention. His fellow male rangers felt the same way as they watched Y/N flirt with Lauren and Mia. The girls were obviously enjoying Y/N's attention as the boys followed them.
Over the next few days, the rangers got to know Y/N. He was kind, smart, funny, and could rival them in training. He would spend some days training with Jayden and Kevin, showing them and the others techniques he's been practicing since he was little. He would go fishing with Antonio and pull pranks with Mike and in the evenings help Mia with her cooking. That's when Jayden, Kevin, Mike, and Antonio realized that they were falling for Mentor Ji's son.

Two Reds and a Purple - Power Rangers Samurai x Shiba!Sister!Reader
Request: Could I request a power rangers samurai imagine of being Jayden and Lauren’s sister, being the purple ranger, and reuniting with your older siblings?
A/n: I blended this with an idea I had for a PR Samurai fic last week aha
Warning: mentions of power ranger violence, death, life threatening illness etc
Being the youngest of the Shiba clan meant you didn’t have as much pressure on yourself compared to your siblings.
Your older sister, Lauren, was trained to be a samurai from birth until your father’s final battle where he failed to seal away Master Xandred, instead sending Lauren away to learn the sealing power, leaving Jayden to become a decoy.
Jayden was trained as the decoy Red Ranger, training as a samurai under Mentor Ji.
You were a different story all together.
Running away as a child, Ji and Jayden were unable to find you because you had learned two basic symbol powers that gave you the ability to hide.
Until another Ranger family found you.
The Purple Samurai Ranger family.
The Purple Samurai Ranger who fought with your father had passed away not long after the final battle, leaving behind their spouse and child.
It was their child that found you and with that the Purple Samurai Ranger family took you in.
You figured out years later why they took you in.
The child who was supposed to be the Purple Samurai Ranger was sick, not sick with a cold either, they weren’t going to live long enough to become the Purple Samurai Ranger.
With no other options, you were trained to become the next Purple Ranger, regardless of your Red Ranger heritage.
///
Lauren Shiba had returned earlier than she did in the original timeline, instead of turning up after the defeat of Serrator, she turned up after Jayden’s fight with Dekker, ending with Dekker’s sword, Uramasa, being broken in half.
“Where’s Y/n?” Lauren asked as she arrived back at the Shiba house with the other rangers.
“Who’s Y/n?” Mia replied, leaving Lauren to turn to Jayden whose jaw was clenched.
“Y/n ran away from the Shiba house, not long after you were sent into hiding. We were unable to find her.” Mentor Ji explained, leaving Lauren and Jayden to just stare at each other before Lauren asked her next question.
“There’s no Purple Samurai Ranger?”
“The Purple Ranger never answered the call. Last time I received word, the Purple Ranger who fought alongside your father had passed away not long after their final battle, leaving their child and spouse behind. I did also receive word that the child was sick but that was the last time I heard from them.” Ji explained, with a sigh as all the other rangers fell silent in thinking.
/// Time Skip ///
“C’mon, guys! Ji needs us to get some supplies from the market!” Emily announced, dragging Mike by the arm as Kevin and Mia followed behind them.
Jayden’s arm had just healed from his battle with Dekker so was being careful but Lauren agreed to come after some hesistance.
“Where’s Antonio?”
“He mentioned something about going fishing.” Mia explained, leaving the other Rangers to chuckle as they headed out to the market.
///
The market stalls were extensive with a range of different produce depending on which path you walked down.
The cobbled paths led to a maze of the wooden market stalls as the smell of fresh fish wavered in the air.
“I’m surprised Antonio isn’t here. The smell of fish is rather pungent.” Kevin remarked, leaving Mia to chuckle.
“Antonio is too busy wanting to catch his own fish, we might see him later though.”
Emily and Mike had disappeared at this point with Ji’s list, leaving Kevin and Mia to try to find them and Lauren to walk around looking at the stalls in intrigue.
///
“You okay? Your friends have already gone up to the fruits.” A voice had Lauren turning around, revealing you standing at the vegetable stall.
“Yes. Uh, yes, I’m okay, thank you.”
You just raised an eyebrow at that, leaving her to stare at you.
“I’m sorry, do I know you?”
You chuckled at Lauren’s question, adjusting a sign for the carrots as you ignored her gaze.
“No, I just have one of those faces.” You lied, smiling slightly as Lauren dismissed your answer with a nod.
“Do you ever feel like you’re not supposed to be part of something?”
“Depends on the situation. I guess you should talk to the other people involved.” You replied unfolding your arms to fiddle with the purple threads hanging from your t-shirt.
“Thank you, I didn’t get your name-” Lauren turned around, pausing as she realised you had disappeared.
///
“Sorry, sis. But that’s not how I want to be found out about...” You whispered as you used your symbol power to summon a fog to so you could run.
“Hey, faker! Running away again? How typical of you!”
“What-” You exclaimed, turning around to get blasted backwards as the Nighlok was revealed.
“The Rangers destroyed you!” You exclaimed, shuffling back on the cobbles as Megatron approached.
“And your siblings gave up on finding you! Yet, we’re both still here!” Megatron cackled, sending you skidding back as you tried to stand up.
“Get away from her!” A voice shouted, leaving you to glance up with a smile as the Samurai Rangers appeared.
“Hey Rangers! Long time no see!” Megatron shouted back, giving you time to kick the Nighlok in the back and run.
///
You weren’t planning on helping with that Nighlok, under the belief that the Rangers could handle it.
Until you saw the Nighlok flee and the Rangers hobble back to the Shiba house.
Taking out the samuraizer, you quickly made a call.
“Hi, it’s time. Thank you.” You whispered before hurrying towards your bike.
////
“Megatron has returned with even more power than before.” Ji explained before something caught his eye as a ‘thwacking’ noise echoed through the courtyard.
“Is that an arrow?”
“If that’s what I think it is, then you will have reinforcements against Megatron.” Ji explained, holding the arrow in his hands as he looked at the purple ribbon attached with the samurai logo symbol.
“But who-” whoever was speaking was cut off as the alarms began to go off, signalling Megatron’s return.
///
“Oh, look! It’s a whole family of fakers!” Megatron exclaimed as the Nighlok spotted the two Red Rangers.
“What is he talking about?” Emily asked but Jayden and Lauren stepped forwards.
“Prepare to meet your end, Nighlok.”
“You sure you’re not going to run away like that little sister of yours?” Megatron taunted before super-speeding up into Lauren’s face.
“They’ll never follow you like they follow your brother!”
Lauren let out a hiss as she slid backwards, leaving the other Samurai to make their move.
///
“Ooo ah ooo, Megatron is really picking on those Rangers!” Octoroo remarked as Megatron sent the other Rangers flying.
///
“Say goodbye, Rangers!” Megatron cacked before a streak of purple caught Antonio’s attention.
“What?”
“Surprise!” the Purple Samurai Ranger exclaimed, slamming the blade of their Spin Sword into Megatron.
“Purple? Who called for Twilight Sparkle?” Megatron exclaimed as the Nighlok tried to fight you.
“Who is that?” Mike exclaimed as the Rangers stopped to watch the Purple Ranger fight Megatron.
“Oh, hey, it’s Purple’s replacement! You’ll never be as good as the original!” Megatron tried but your grip of the Spin Sword increased as you revealed a purple disk.
“Moonlight bow!”
Megatron let out a yell as purple arrows began to rain down from the sky, hitting the Nighlok.
It was after that you switched back to your Spin Sword, spinning the purple disk again to activate the elemental attack.
“Moonbeam!”
Megatron’s explosion after being defeated left you sighing, holding the Wolf Folding Zord in your hand as he grew in size.
The Rangers hadn’t noticed the Wolf Folding Zord until it charged at Megatron, avoiding their Megazords in the process.
“Why doesn’t she join the Megazord?” Kevin asked, leaving Jayden and Lauren to glance at each other before helping take down Megatron.
///
You were about to leave when you heard footsteps.
“Wait!”
“Who are you?”
You just shook your head, your helmet doing the same action before you activated your samuraizer, drawing the Kanji for fog before they could stop you.
“Wait!”
When the fog cleared you were gone.
///
“Why does she keep disappearing?” Mike asked as the Rangers gathered back at the Shiba house.
“We can only assume the Purple Ranger will reveal their identity when they choose to-” Ji went silent as he spotted the fog outside.
“Did you say she used fog symbol power?” Ji asked, leaving all the Rangers to run outside as the fog cleared.
“This place hasn’t changed a bit.” You remarked as you left your Spin Sword sticking out of the ground so you could walk around without being seen as a threat.
“You’ve been here before?” Ji prompted but you ignored him as your focus landed on Jayden and Lauren.
“Usually, when you run away from a place, you don’t intend to come back.” You replied before demorphing.
“Y/n?” Jayden asked as Lauren’s eyes widened, walking forwards to see you properly.
“How, how-”
“It’s a long story.” You replied before you finally gave up fighting it.
Launching yourself forwards, you hugged your older siblings, much to their shock as their bodies tensed up at the contact. It took a minute before they wrapped their arms around you but you were finally reunited.

Fandom ask game; Mystic Force, (if you can offer discourse upon it, and Samurai if not) 👀
ALL
For Mystic Force (including the one comic): favorite character: Oh, what a question. I wanna say Chip, but my brain keeps being torn between Leelee and Clare. Endless possibilities there, after all~
least favorite character: Literally any and all of the Morlocks, except for Necrolai and Koragg.
brOTP: Nick & Madison; adventures in Red Ranger heteronormativity I may never grow to like, but Maddie is a lovely leash for this hothead.
OTP: Udonna/Leanbow (as Koragg, too, sometimes; for the angst).
OT3: Chip/Xander/Vida. Fun loving, endearing, kind, practical--they're all sweethearts who deserve each other.
NOTP: Nick x Anyone he's related to (stahp).
favorite storyline: Mmmmm, it's actually tied. Wherein Leelee experience the 'Two Worlds, One Family' trope to its preferable conclusion and wherein Vida gets to actually BE a vampire.
least favorite storyline: Just...the WAY Nick's relations with Udonna and Leanbow played out. Like, there was possibility and presentation to consider and THIS SUCKED.
what I wish had happened but didn’t: Actual goddamn build-up and consideration towards Nick so he could have grown as a character we could all actually LIKE.
what happened that I wish hadn’t: Mystic Mother Rita being largely left offscreen--also more comics than just the one, PLEASE.
For Samurai (including the comics): favorite character: Shattered Grid did a marvelous job making Lauren Shiba my golden girl (but I also quietly adore Spike Skullovitch).
least favorite character: Mentor Ji.
brOTP: Realistically, we all KNOW Antonio & Jayden are queer as hell for each other, but since the series is what it is, here's their title.
OTP: Mike/Kevin. What can I say? Good writing on AO3 has won me over exceptionally well (PunkPinkPower & aletterinthenameofsanity; you're the ones at fault here, bless). That and the stuck-like-glue episode.
OT3: Mia/Emily/Lauren--plays ~GIRLS!! GIRLS!! GIRLS!!~ on blast.
NOTP: Mike/Emily. Just...no. It's so vanilla and boring and annoying.
favorite storyline: Antonio being the actual blessing that he is, building his was up to find his way back to Jayden. And Lauren fighting with Jason in Shattered Grid :D
least favorite storyline: Lauren being yeeted out of battle with a broken arm and Jayden wandering the wilderness because he has no meaning. :P
what I wish had happened but didn’t: Jayden actually taking any of his lessons about teamwork and being a lone wolf actually sunk in.
what happened that I wish hadn’t: Lauren and Jayden being the victims of home grown child soldiers without any kind of real apology from Ji; Lauren being knocked the fuck out by sexist bullshit.

Detailed summary request fic: Mike x Kevin from PRSamurai; "My body is burning, it starts to shout//Desire is coming, it breaks out loud//Lust is in cages 'til storm breaks loose//Just have to make it with someone I choose", 'The Shire is Burning', rating higher than PG please, aaaaaand #Everyone Has Issues #Child Neglect #Missing Organs
Title: the Shire is Burning Fandom: Power Rangers Samurai; Boom! Comics Power Rangers. Relationship Tags: Mike/Kevin; Jayden Shiba/Antonio Garcia; Emily/Mia Watanabe; Serena/Lauren Shiba; Bulk & Spike; Skull/Billy Cranston. Additional Tags: Everyone Has Issues; Child Neglect; Missing Organs; Alternate Universe - 1980s; Nostalgic Dark Fantasy. Summary: Blood across the road, blood across the broken glass splayed out all over the roads and grass, blood across the whole of him... Mike really shouldn't have survived the car crash that he had nobody to blame for but himself...and the little raccoon he didn't wanna run over just because he was joyriding. Instead, he wakes up back at his own house...but it's not the way he left it. It’s too tidy, too sterile; books ordered by genre and title, clothes folded and put away. Mike himself was tucked securely under the blankets like a goddamn coma patient. His body is not what it was the night before, either. He did not come out unscathed from being launched through his windshield because his airbag failed to deploy and his seatbelt snapped like a rubber band. But he doesn’t have bruises or cuts; he has what look like very old scars and a conclave where it seemed that eighty percent of his liver was cut out and left to regenerate. But it gets really weird when he finds his weirdo neighbor with the fox laugh knocking on his door with his keys telling him to be at his house the next evening after nightfall, “And don’t be late, or your date won’t be willing to answer any of your questions. Also, don’t drink any water today unless it has something else in it like pomegranate or lemon.”
