Jay-Z has flatly denied allegations that he raped a 13-year-old girl after the 2000 MTV Video Music Awards, describing the accusations as "false" and expressing confidence that the case will soon conclude in his favor. The accuser, known only as "Jane Doe" for anonymity, acknowledged inconsistencies in her account but said that her overall allegations were valid. Speaking to NBC News, she said, "I have made some mistakes," but stood by her allegations. Shawn Carter, also known as Jay-Z, and Sean "Diddy" Combs are named in the lawsuit filed in federal court. The two men denied all charges. Several discrepancies have arisen that question the accusations presented in the story of Jane Doe. i am guilty, CC BY-SA 2.0 https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/2.0, via Wikimedia Commons One of the inconsistencies is that Jane Doe claimed that her father took her home after the alleged rape, which would have taken more than five hours. Her father, however, cannot recall taking her home. She also pointed out a celebrity whom she claimed to have met at the party, but the celebrity has confirmed that they were not present as they were on tour. Photographic proof accessed by NBC News shows reportedly Combs and Carter outside the location described by Jane Doe. It is yet unclear when the images were shot, or if they went to more after-parties that day. More complicating factors to the story is that Jane Doe claims she was dropped off by a friend in Rochester from New York, to the music hall in New York, that friend has since died. Legal Response and Public Statements The case forms part of the larger lawsuit led by attorney Tony Buzbee in Texas. He represents roughly 120 clients in different complaints against Combs. In response to the new events, Carter and his lawyer, Alex Spiro, have termed the lawsuit as "frivolous." Both addressed the allegations strongly on social media. In a post on X, formerly Twitter, Jay-Z called the lawsuit a "false complaint" motivated by greed and publicity. Today's investigative report proves this 'attorney' Buzbee filed a false complaint against me in pursuit of money and fame. This incident didn't occur and yet he filed it in court and doubled down in the press. True justice is coming. We fight from victory, not for victory. This was over before it began. This 1-800 lawyer doesn't know it yet, but, soon. Alex Spiro further commented on the case saying, "It is staggering that an attorney would file such a serious complaint without proper vetting but would then make things worse by continuing to promote this false story in the press. We are seeking today for the court to dismiss this frivolous case and will address the issue of additional discipline for Mr. Buzbee and all of the attorneys that filed the complaint." Carter has also called for the identity of Jane Doe to be revealed or the case to be dismissed outright. Career and Public Appearances Jay-Z is one of the most successful rappers in history, and he has been in the game for decades. He has won 24 Grammys, and he was one of the first rappers to blow up in the late 1990s and become a global entertainment icon. The allegations surfaced just days before Carter appeared at a high-profile event with his family. Accompanied by his wife Beyoncé and their 12-year-old daughter Blue Ivy, Jay-Z walked the red carpet last week, maintaining a calm demeanor amid the legal controversy. However, as for Sean "Diddy" Combs, who was also embroiled in the lawsuit, he has not come forth with a public statement in particular about the allegations surrounding this specific case. Combs, a veteran of the music and entertainment industries after establishing his "Bad Boy" record label, had a public picture taken with Carter but has denied any wrongs. The inconsistencies in the story of Jane Doe have led to the raising of questions about the credibility of the allegations. Though inconsistencies in an account do not prove its substance wrong, they have been ammunition for Carter and his legal team to argue for the case's dismissal. As the legal process unfolds, both Carter and Combs are firm that they are innocent of the accusations leveled against them. The lawsuit, filed in federal court in New York, has garnered much attention from the media and adds to the broader conversation on high-profile legal cases involving celebrities. Jay-Z's legal team wants this to be dealt with quickly, and both defendants have shown an intention to hold the accuser's legal representation accountable for pursuing what they think are baseless claims. Re: Jay-Z allegations. 'I've been quiet long enough': Woman accusing Jay-Z of sexual assault speaks out
https://youtu.be/mmjA54INCE4
The alleged victim says she has autism and that there are many inconsistencies in the case. Buzbee may be taking advantage of her. As a Houstonian, he doesn't have the cleanest rep and is known to fabricate and exaggerate the cases he's involved in. Buzbee's known to be a money-hungry attention whore, so I wouldn't be surprised if this was his initial intention. He was hoping Jay would bite in order to avoid the allegations being made public and bring in negative publicity.
Jay-Z's still a creep, though. Bey was 20 when they officially started dating, and he was 32. He first met her when she was 16, waited until she was legal, befriended her, then pursued a relationship w/ her. If that's not grooming, I don't know what is. Her telling him how he "taught her how to be a woman" haunts me to this day.
Imo, if he ever gets convicted of a felony, it's going to be money-related.
i’m interested to continue watching this unfold while withholding any super convicted judgement

Back in 2009, Chris Brown, one the best singers, song writers and dancers, was dating another superstar, Rihanna. all seems good with this power couple but behind closed doors there was a different story happening. One night, police responded to a 911 call of reported domestic violence. It was alleged that Chris Brown beat, choked and threatened even more violence towards Rihanna and the pictures that were leaked were very graphic. All this happened the day before the grammys. I remember hearing about the story on the news when I was 13 years old and even then I was horrified at how such a prominent, uprising musical artist can act behind closed doors. I was extremely hurt back then, because I was a big fan of Chris Brown and I was a VERY big fan of Rihanna. Before this incident occurred probably most of the public saw this guy as just a kid. He was only 18 years old, with a bright future ahead of him as one of the most successful artists at that time. And then after all of this happened he was seen as a grown man who committed a terrible act of domestic violence and he should be punished as a grown man.. He received threats from other prominent artists at the time, Jay-Z and Kanye West. THe only way to salvage Chris Brown's career lay in the hands of Rihanna when she eventually forgave Chris Brown in an interview with Oprah a couple years later. Chris Brown accepted responsibility for his actions and never once denied the accusations. He came clean, and this was probably on the advice of his management team and public relations team. After the dust settled on this situation, Chris Brown did countless interviews in an attempt to show the public another side of himself. He spoke about his upbringing and the relationship with his father in order to gain sympathy and some sort of familiarity with the general public. Another clear act from his public relations team trying to save his career. It's pretty obvious what the goal was, Chris brown was now viewed by the public as this violent man that needed to be locked away and forgotten about. The strategy was to show him as a sensitive child with a bad upbringing and daddy issues. It worked pretty well, he remains in the spotlight 14 years later after this horrible action was committed. The stain would never be wiped off of his name but eventually he was able to move on with his life just as Rihanna has with hers. This whole crisis speaks on how well his public relations team worked on saving his career. Without the game plan and strategy of his team, he might not have ever released another song and he would have faded out of the spotlight never to be heard again. Which probably should have happened.

Attorney Tony Buzbee, who represents several claimants who say they were wronged by Sean 'Diddy' Combs, has estimated that the count of civil suits filed against the music mogul may go as high as 300. Already filing 20 lawsuits against Combs, Buzbee has said that his office received some 3,000 inquiries since he invited victims to come forward in October. He estimated that although the number of cases might ultimately be in the range of 100 and 150, the figure of 300 is probably in the 300 range, although not all cases would come to court. Most of these lawsuits have accused Combs of aiding abuse at parties which took place in cities such as New York, California and Florida. These incidents, apparently, also involved people being administered drugs who were unaware of their soft drinks being laced with drugs. On his legal team's response to those allegations, they term them a "shameless publicity stunt" and say that this is because it is supposed to seek payments from celebrities fearing loss of reputation due to such defamation as has previously occurred on Combs as well, in the form of totally baseless accusations. Freelance photographer Richard Burdett (Website), CC BY 3.0 https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0, via Wikimedia Commons The 55-year-old artist, who dominated the rap and soul music scene during the 1990s, has been charged with some serious crimes, which include racketeering, sex trafficking, and transportation of individuals for prostitution. Combs denies all of these charges, and he's been held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn while he awaits his May 2025 trial. Besides the cases against Combs, Buzbee is also suing another hip-hop icon, Jay-Z. A lawsuit was filed where it was alleged that Jay-Z and Combs sexually assaulted a minor at an awards after-party in 2000. Jay-Z responded by denouncing Buzbee, accusing him of blackmailing him by pressuring him to settle the case. Jay-Z, in a statement, condemned the attorney, questioning his character and expressing disbelief at Buzbee’s claims. He also criticized Buzbee’s military service, calling it into question, and labeling him a "deplorable human." Buzbee, a high-profile attorney known for his assertive courtroom style, has represented numerous clients in high-stakes legal battles. His career lists billions in settlements for sexual misconduct, including over two dozen women who accuse Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson of similar offenses. Despite huge successes, though, Buzbee is a polarizing figure. Some of his critics-even Jay-Z-have accused him of extortion tactics in some of his legal practices. Nonetheless, Buzbee maintains that he is committed to giving a voice to marginalized individuals and holding powerful figures accountable. Buzbee's law firm has emphasized his dedication to amplifying the voices of the underrepresented, noting that he often takes on cases involving individuals whose accusations are typically met with skepticism. As a former Marine and Texas A&M University graduate, Buzbee's aggressive approach to law and his ability to command public attention have made him a name to know in Texas and beyond. His legal style is marked by his strategic use of media to shape public perception and build pressure on defendants. For Combs, the situation grows increasingly dire. He will be spending the Christmas holiday in jail, and the inmates, including Combs, will be allowed to participate in card games, dominoes, soccer, and a 3-on-3 basketball tournament, said a spokesperson from the detention center. Still, Combs' focus is going to be on his pending legal issues. Combs is accused of having run a criminal network for years, allegedly extorting and abusing women. According to the accusation, he used various forms of manipulation and violence to make the victims not speak out. The indictment also contains astounding allegations that Combs staged "Freak Offs," which are sex acts he planned, filmed, and sometimes directed. The indictment alleges that these events were intended for his personal gratification and that he allegedly watched and recorded as he masturbated. The lawsuits also allege that Combs and his co-conspirators resorted to violence, including kidnapping, arson, and physical assault, to silence and intimidate women who participated in these events. His lawyers maintain denial for all charges pending in the trial. Combs maintains that all criminal enterprise charges against him are fabrication. Prosecutors' given narration of their version, on the other hand, was a gross misinterpretation of the fact. With a bad public image through such allegations, Combs claims to be frustrated; aggressive tactics in the media had already destroyed his reputation. He maintains that an acquittal is the only way to repair the damage done to his career and personal life. As the legal team of Combs continues to vigorously defend him as innocent, the number of civil lawsuits keeps on increasing. With a trial date set for May 2025, the eyes of all will focus on the outcome of the proceeding. If the allegations are proven to be true, Combs could face severe consequences that would change the course of his life and career forever. However, at the moment, the battle is in court, and Combs continues to deny all accusations and claims that the charges are a story fabricated by those who want to destroy him. Read the full article

Well it’s super clear that Elon Musk’s critics don’t ever watch the guy talk, because if they did, they’d be going off on his public speaking skills. Saw a clip just now of the beginning of a Tesla stream showcasing their semi, and oof...he needs to take some lessons. He’s not engaging AT ALL when he talks.
I dunno, might wind up with some accusations of ablism.
Sounds insane until you come across a post of adolph hitler twitching and what not be cause of all the meth he was on (among many other stupid thing that sadly didn't kill him) and see someone talking about how he must have been autistic and that this was him stimming.
That or the person that kinned him (if you don't know what that means I envy you and beg you to never look it up)
Musk I think does better taking pot shots at people from twitter than on a stage, good ideas guy from what I can tell, fun ideas like
Starting up the boring company and introducing the "not a flamethrower" for sale.
That was fun.
Guy has a solid head for business and I think if he'd put down the twitter account a bit more often folks would find someone else to go after all the time.
Lots of billionaires out there that nobody ever bats an eye at, maybe go after rhianna for the sweatshop labour used for her fenty brand, or whatever beyonce or jay-z are currently up to.
Need a white dude Rupert Murdoch, Bloomberg, Sorros, Cuban ect.
He's just the cool guy to hate right now since they moved off of bezos and whoever it was between bezos and gates.
