last time I saw them, heeseung put his hand up to his ear in the “call me” motion (imactuallystilldead) when he passed by my section and when sunghoon walked by (when they went into the crowd) he walked past me but I waved at him to come back and he did and now we have a blurry video together with him holding my hand KFBDMANAK

the last time I was close to the stage too. jay and jungwon kept looking at me too (my friend has a video of this bc jay kept coming over to our section when and I swear we made eye contact like 3638382 times) and jungwon too. I think he was happy me and the people next to me weren’t really on our phones the whole time. jake during sound check kept interacting with my friend and I because we just screamed fuck all and had a good time and everyone around us will SILENT and STOOD STILL 😩 unfortunately very little sunoo and ni-ki interactions but I kept yelling “my sons!” whenever they danced in front of me

I have a lot of enha stories like enhypen are my forever people and for all of the drabbles I post, I really do love them and I’m grateful for everything they’ve done to and with me

FINALLY A LOVE TRIANGLE THAT HAS THE GODDAMN GUMPTION TO CHOOSE BOTH AND THEN BOTH TO CHOOSE EACH OTHER

Never forget this is a book about aliens destroying the world and the world responding by making big ass robots (in this case made out of alien husks) and needing paired pilots to drive them to kill the aliens.

These paired pilots just determined a third is what they needed to make them a balanced match.

I just got back from spending time in Nawash for some training with work, and there was a lot of special moments that I can't share or don't feel ready to talk about, but there's one from the first day we got there that I do really want to share

That first night, we were all gathered around the fire, just kinda taking the time to relax and get to know each other bc we all work remotely and this is the first time we're meeting in person. While we're at the fire, a family from toronto comes over and asks if they can join us bc their 3-year-old wants to watch the fire

The parents are bilingual and speak both english and mandarin, but the little boy only speaks mandarin, and his parents said he'd been lonely while they were on holiday bc none of the other kids could speak mandarin and they didn't want to play with him bc of the language barrier. At this point, the little boy is standing near me, throwing small sticks he's finding on the ground into the fire, and I'm like. What the heck. I know a tiny bit of mandarin, maybe i can interact with him a bit, give him one moment of friendship at least

Me: *pointing at his really cool dinosaur hat* 你的帽子好看啊！

Him: 🥺😄😁 谢谢！你看看！这是我宝贝！你看看，你看看！

He comes right over and sits on the log beside mine and shows me his little orange ball. And then he puts it on the log in front of him and starts pushing the ball off the log onto the ground

The first few times, I just pick the ball up, give it back to him, and then he pushes it off again, but eventually I change it up a bit. When he pushes the ball off, I pretend like I can't find it

Me: 宝贝在哪儿？

Him: *giggling* 在这儿！

I "find" the ball and give it back, then he pushes it off again

Me: 在哪儿？

Him: 在这儿，在这儿！

We played that for a solid hour, and he kept giggling and laughing the whole time, and his parents both looked so happy that he was finally having fun on their trip. And it's just. That's the whole point of languages right? To talk to people, make new friends, build connections. Make a lonely little boy laugh as he points at his very visible orange ball and tells you "it's right there!!"

There's a lot of (lowkey condescending) people that ask me why I "bother" learning languages they see as useless or too difficult, and that's exactly why I love doing it. Bc you never know when the tiny bit of mandarin you know will make a kid laugh, or when your "useless" irish will make an old lady smile bc she misses home, or when the bits of ukrainian you picked up 5 years ago will help a refugee family find the foodbank. Language is at the heart of every culture and every community, and it's never a waste of time to learn a new one. The more languages you learn, the more people you can talk to, the more connections you can build and smiles you can share

Anyways thanks for coming to lecture, pls grab a new language on your way out so you too can make a smol child laugh

Bruce freezing. Dick goes back to his gameboy. They hold hands when they cross the street.

It’s both scary and comforting how little he changes when he’s an adult.

Jason, on the other hand.

Although he refuses to admit it, he does follow Bruce around, too, when his dad actually has to leave the manor. It’s when Alfred says he needs sun.

“You signed a contract, sir.”

Bruce sighing, “I signed it when I was 4. In black crayon. Those don’t count.”

Damian gasped, as if discovering a vile fact, sending an accusing glare Bruce’s way. “They don’t?”

Bruce needs an excuse to haul ass fast and that’s how Jason ends up chaperoning his socially awkward, disaster of a father in his quest to pick up food.

He’s a titanic presence next to Bruce, glaring off whoever stares a little too long or too appreciatively, strong arms crossed and his eyes hard and sharp.

Bruce gently taps his bicep and he hates the way he melts. “Do you want the chicken nuggets with or without apple slices?”

“Without.”

“Jay.”

“FINE.”

Give Jason his “he asked for No pickles” moment. It has to embarrass Bruce enough to jump in traffic, thought.

Damian has his own league and none of them can really compete with it. I think, during parent’s night, he drags Bruce off to proudly showcase his gallery of portraits.

Bruce is very moved when he realizes they’re almost all him.

There’s portraits of Dick, too, and Alfred, and a comically bad one of Tim. “Damian, they’re very beautiful. Thank you.”

“I painted them with the blood of your enemies.”

“…Thank you.”

“tired princess?” Heeseung hummed quietly as he felt you nuzzle your nose against his neck. his finger’s paused on his controller as he tilted his head to look down at you, a fond look in his eyes. the two of you were sitting on his couch in his room, enjoying the quiet atmosphere of his dorm at night. you shook your head no, your words coming out muffled against his neck “uh-uh just missed you” your words brought a smile to his lips. 

“after this round we can get in bed” he promised as he placed a soft kiss on your head, wrapping his arm around your waist and holding you closer, his hands still holding his controller rested on your side as he skillfully played his game. you were practically sitting on his lap by now, your arm draped over the front of his chest, your fingers fidgeting with the collar of his shirt. you fluttered your eyes closed, letting your body melt in his warm embrace, mumbling out a tired “mmkay”

“you okay baby?” jay asked you sweetly, pausing his strumming and relaxing back against your chest as you hugged him from behind, your face smushed against his neck. you took a deep breath in against his neck, smelling his cologne before answer quietly “mmm just wanted to be close to you” you were laying under jay’s blanket in his bed, watching his back and side profile as he sat on the edge of his bed, strumming his guitar. he was in arm’s length but that was too far for you, you missed the feeling of his body against yours. 

jay eternally awed at your words and sleepy tone, he wanted to be close to you too. jay pulled away from your touch making the corners of your lips curl into a sad pout as you sat back on your knees, watching as he got up from his bed and put away his guitar. but your pout is quickly changed into a smile and giggle when your boyfriend playfully tackled you back against the bed. 

your head falls back on the soft pillows while jay takes his place laying between your legs, this time he was the one to stuff his face in your neck breathing in your scent. your arms wrap around his shoulder to pull him closer, one of your hands tangling in his hair to play with it. jay hums happily at the feeling before whispering against your pulse point – the feeling of his warm breath sending chills down your spine as you closed your eyes “my precious girl” 

SIM JAKE 

“Oh?” jake flinched in surprise at the feeling of you suddenly pressing your body up against his side, he was so into the show playing on your bedroom tv to notice you moving closer to him. jake slips his arm around your waist to pull you flush against him, your arm draping across his chest to softly hold his nape while your leg draped over his midsection. 

you tried to keep your hands to yourself as the two of you watched the show, but the longer you looked at him the harder it got for you to hold back. he looked so good, his arm behind his head, his glasses resting so prettily against the slope of his nose, his pretty lips formed into a concentrated pout as he looked at the tv. 

jake moves his hand from under his head and swiftly pulls off his glasses and tosses them behind him onto your fluffy carpet, not caring at all if they broke. you were the only thing on his mind right now. you let out a surprised giggle when Jake turned his body towards you so he could lay on you, stuffing his face in your neck. and in turn you wrap your legs and arms around him to pull him closer to you if that was even possible. both of you hum happily at the change of position. “My little koala” he mused teasingly with a chuckle against your neck. 

PARK SUNGHOON 

“what are you doing you little minx?, hmm” sunghoon hummed with a teasing smirk at your sudden touch, his phone making an obnoxiously loud click when he turned it off before letting it fall by his side on the bed. He was scrolling mindlessly on his phone, both of you were ready for bed but just couldn't fall asleep. you roll your eyes at the ‘pet name’ your boyfriend called you and nuzzled your face against his warm neck, sassily replying “Is it a crime to wanna be close to my boyfriend” 

his eyes soften at your words and his smirk is replaced with a smile, he brought his hand up to softly caress your cheek with the tip of his fingers as he whispered “no i suppose it's not” you smiled tiredly at his soft touch, your legs tangled together under the soft sheets. you rest your hand on his chest while he slipped his hand under your shirt and held your waist, pulling you flush against him. you placed a feather light kiss against his neck before mumbling tiredly “love youuu” 

sunghoon felt his cheeks and ears warm up at your words, grateful that you couldn't see how flustered you made him by saying that, little did he know you could feel how his heart sped up. sunghoon cleared his throat and moved his hand from your waist to softly pat your head affectionately, kissing the top of your head and whispering sweetly “love you more”

okay i think maybe my relationship is like. rescueable as long as i stop!! doing!! fucked up!! shit!! like apparently my irl communication skills are not at all like. refined?? i guess?? so ive done like rly fucking inexcusable stuff twice (laughing at her when she said something serious (worst thing ive ever done that will haunt me forever), calling her girlfriend a terf and then going on an extremely defensive rant abt transmeds without giving her any opportunity to talk (second worst thing ive ever done i don't even think her girlfriend is a terf!! i never have!! i got very carried away and that will also haunt me forever) (second worst bc i had literally any explanation for my behavior whatsoever like still absolutely fucking inexcusable but the first one was like what the actual fuck there is zero reason that is ever appropriate and the second one was like. i got carried away abt something that is actually upsetting to me but it was not an appropriate way to deal with or engage that conversation whatsoever)). so i have to make sure that i don't fucking pull that shit again. im going to try to be rly conscious abt like. staying calm during important conversations bc i think that's part of the issue. i don't like reign my shit in and think abt what's appropriate and i have to be careful to do that. i can absolutely have proper appropriate conversations abt important things (and we have done that) i just need to focus on. only doing that. like that's abt moderating my tone and keeping an eye on my emotions and if im getting too upset / defensive (and i told her that if i ever fucking do that rly defensive thing again she can just tell me to stop and i will and won't be upset. i usually don't realize im doing it (part of the problem)). so im going to try to be really careful abt that bc i think the only way to rebuild that trust is going to be to just. not do anything like that again.

and then second thing is that i don't initiate enough so im going to work on dealing w my anxiety and just. doing things. and we talked abt what she's okay w me initiating in public (bc i know im okay with more than she is, so i was letting her initiate which i did tell her but now i have guidelines so i can also initiate) and now that we've had that conversation i think ill be able to deal with some of my anxiety by being like. no u should do/say that to a) show u can initiate and ur listening and b) show that u want stuff and ur into this.

so that's the big stuff. communicating appropriately (or more importantly not saying or doing rly inappropriate fucked up shit) and initiating more. and being rly fucking grateful she's giving me a chance to fix stuff / improve. also i told her to stop implying i can't consent bc like wtf but i think the initiating will help with that too.

also im going to ask my roommate (who has known me irl for 2 years) if there's any other like. shitty communication stuff she's noticed that i should keep an eye on. so far its managing tone and emotions.
