So, this was a good way to show a bit more of Riker and one of his quirks: Lifting people!

Yes, he knows it's a little odd, but it works. If someone's angry and about to snap? Yoink, you're going to another room to calm down.

He lifts Malli to get giggles and laughter, and Marc will use it on his more sleepy-bad days.

I will thank Scottie (@jaytoons7 's OC) for being an angry gremlin for this example. They have been nicknamed 'firecracker' by Riker and Malli.

Why do I say that last part? Well, here we go: Storytimeee! (Jay and Ulle also belong to @jaytoons7 )

Giving a growl, Scottie was sat in front of Jay and Ulle, their arms crossed in front of their chest.

"There we go. Little firecracker was about to pop off." Riker remarked, giving a pat to Scottie's shoulder, which made them growl and turned around, shoving a finger right into Riner's face.

"WHAT DID YOU JUST CALL ME?!?"

"A firecracker, man. Chill out, it's a compliment."

"A COMPLIMENT?!?"

"Yeah! Have you never seen a firecracker? They're fun and bold and explosive! I thought it describes you well!"

"YOU JUS-" Scottie paused their yelling, looking to Riker dead in the eyes to try and find any sort of lying.. "What are you pulling here, assassin?"

"Nothing being pulled. You're a firecracker, embrace it."

".... What do you think a firecracker is?"

Riker then shook his head. "Not the loud, popping one's, no. We used to break down lighters and we build it up in this.. Certain way, and then BAM-" He threw his hand down towards the ground, before spreading both of them out. "-It would explode out! Like a firework on the ground! Always sounded, and smelt like gunshots. We used to throw them on wood logs when a lighter ran out to start it up. Man, those always went up in flames!"

Scottie could only stare, hearing more and more of an American country accent come out of Riker as he described it. "You.. You called those 'firecrackers'..? And you think I'm.. I'm like one of those..?"

Riker could only nod. "Well, yeah. You're fun, creative, bold strokes, and explosive. If I called Joey that, it would be a joke on her height, but still complementary. They're more of a rigged bomb: sounds bad, but a pleasant surprise, still a bomb." Riker only shrugged with a smile. "Anyways, I need to get on. Peace out, firecracker!"

With Riker walking out, this left Jay, Ulle, and Scottie to stare at the empty doorway. "Well then.." Jay spoke to bust the silence after a few minutes.

Ulle glanced towards Scottie with her eyes wide when she realized that Scottie hadn't said anything either. "Scottie? Bud, you alright?"

Scottie still didn't say anything, only being pulled out by Jay shaking their shoulders. "Scottie, back to reality!"

Scottie's scowl came back, shoving Jay off of them. "Back off, Jay. I'm fine. Just.. A little shaken, alright?"

"Shaken? Why?" Ulle asked, with Scottie rolling their eyes.

"Don't worry about it! I'm fine, this whole things is fine- Everything. Is. Fine." Scottie said, looking up to Ulle and Jay, seeing both of them glance to each other and glaring down. "What?"

This caused the two of them to bolt out of the room, with Scottie just stood there and sighing. "This is gonna be a day.."

I JUST FUCKING FINISHED LAB RATS: ELITE FORCE AND. IT ENDS? LIKE THAT?????? I KNEW IT WAS ONLY ONE SEASON bc lets be real you cant beat lab rats and god knows wth theyre doing with the writing in elite force BUT THE CLIFFHANGER???? like i knew i was coming up on the last episode. i was perfectly aware of that. I THOUGHT THE THING WITH ROMAN AND RIKER WAS GOING TO BE RESOLVED. LIKE. HELLO. amazing to me that the writers of that show were so confident theyd get renewed for a second season that they just let the finale end like that.

i also just couldnt look at roman properly the entire show bc thats just jay from descendants. thats just booboo stewart. disney has like 5 actors and its okay <3 but thats just him.

i also desperately need someone to explain what the thing with chase and kaz is to me. dont get me wrong, i dont dislike either of them or the ship itself. i love chase. and i dont know mighty med very well but kaz is silly. i understand they could have a dynamic going on. but like. where. did it come from. what evidence is there. in the show. i was expecting so much more based off what ive seen on here. like i was ready to be at least A Little queerbaited. i think there might be more evidence for chase and sebastian guys im SO sorry but if anyone wants to try and tell me something i missed then feel free!

It's always hard to see the next generation take over, but its a rite of passage

Hi! 😀

I don't view T9S as the next generation taking over the world of T7S. I view T9S as a new show set in a different era with mostly different characters (and three familiar ones), exploring stories relevant to those characters and their personalities.

For an analogy, I'll use Star Trek. The original show Star Trek (1966-1968) was followed up in 1987 by a show called Star Trek: The Next Generation (note the subtitle 😂), set a century later than the original series. The overall premise of the shows is the same, but the characters and writing are very different (TNG, the writing change started in earnest in season 3).

I love both shows. They're actually quite different because the characters are different and their relationship dynamics are, thus, different. They were also written in different times, and the shows reflect the times in which they were written. Plenty exists in both series to praise and to critique.

T7S's writing reflects a late-'90s world in some significant ways. T9S reflects today's world underneath the '90s dressing.

What I would consider a takeover by a new generation is if That '70s Show itself were rebooted and its characters recast with different actors. But Leia isn't Eric or Donna. Jay and Nate aren't Michael Kelso. Gwen isn't Hyde. Nikki isn't Jackie. Ozzie isn't Fez. They are their own people, with some aspects of the T7S shaded in.

Just like Captain Picard isn't Captain Kirk. Commander Riker isn't Mr. Spock. Geordi LaForge isn't Scotty. Dr. Crusher isn't Bones McCoy. And so on. 😊

Summary: Libby, Adam, Kevin and later Antonio have to go undercover with a crime family that had close ties to the Sanfino, the crime family that Libby’s deceased husband had been involved in and her twin brother Jamie had a hand in taking down. Set before the next volume of Thin Blue Line.

“Alright listen up everyone!” Hank Voight said coming out of his office and looking at his team that was scattered around the bullpen talking lowly with each other as they worked on paperwork.  

“We have a major problem. The Sanfino Crime family has hit Chicago and hit us hard.” 

“Sanfino?” Libby Reagan asked pushing her chair away from her desk. 

Hank nodded his head and looked at her. 

“I know them. Michael was involved with them, he all but sold me to Noble.”

 “He did what?” Adam Ruzek asked looking at his friend who nodded her head, “he needed a date, and who better else than the wife of his friend and the daughter of the police commissioner? They thought if they had me under their control then it would be easier not to get in trouble.” 

Her husband Jay Halstead shook his head angrily, he had heard all about this when they first got together and it upset him. 

Her dead husband had taken advantage of her and even though she was a cop she was powerless to do anything.  

“But did it stop?” Alvin asked curiously, she only ever told stories about cases that her brothers or grandfather worked but none of hers.  It was like she wanted to hide it and hide everything that happened with Michael. 

“No. Most of them got locked up and the two grandkids fled New York.” She answered as she stood up and tapped her fingers against her thighs, “The one associate of Noble’s almost killed my twin.” 

“What else do you know about Noble?”

 “He is a druggie, he would do anything for his next hit.”  Libby said as she pulled open the bottom drawer of her desk and pulled out a notebook and handed it to Hank, “I kept information, that I could remember. I kept the notebook, Riker, my partner kept it with his files.” 

“Tell them why.”

 “I came into work on a Monday morning and someone had gone through my desk. It was Michael. After his first stint in jail, he became more paranoid, jealous, and angry. You name it he was. He didn’t like me working the night shift or working with Riker.” 

“How many stents did he do?” 

“3. The third one is when he got killed.” Libby answered leaning against Jay’s desk, his fingers catching hers and squeezing them.

 “I was at my dad’s house for Sunday dinner and I get this call from the warden telling me that Michael was stabbed and I needed to get down to the hospital. The perks of having the police commissioner as a father we got there at the same time he did. They pronounced him dead after they wheeled him by me.” Libby said using her thumb to move her engagement ring back and forth.

“My family was expecting me to lose control and start crying but I didn’t, I think I was more relieved than anything after everything that he did to me and put me through it was finally over.” 

“Did you lose control?” Adam asked. 

“Yeah, I finally did after the funeral when my bitch mother-in-law tried to tell me because I started divorce proceedings before Michael was killed that I wasn’t entitled to the life insurance or anything. I flipped.” 

“Antonio you remember when Danny was here and he pushed the table into Peter?” Jay asked as he leaned back in his chair. He had been there when that happened and was right there with Danny pulling her away from Marion.  Though they were all just tempted to let the fight go on. Let Libby get out of her system. 

“Yeah.” He remembered it all too clearly, he would have done the same thing that the oldest Reagan had done when he found out that Libby had walked into a trap and was almost killed. 

“She did that from what Will told me.” 

“I threw a drink in her face too. Lucky for her that my brothers were there and pulled me away. I would have started throwing punches.” Libby said. 

Carlie Rhodes looked up at Mrs. Halstead and laughed, “And she has a mean left hook.” 

“Yes, yes I do.” the former New York Detective said folding her arms under her chest, “So what do you want us to do Sarge?”  

Hank looked thoughtful before putting his hands on his hips, “Do you still have contacts within the family?”

 Libby nodded her head slowly, “Yeah Bianca, Noble’s sister texts me all the time, she just moved from New Hampshire.” 

“Good, reach out to her. Ruzek, Atwater, I want you two with her.” Hank ordered. “Got it, boss,” Adam answered as Libby went over to her desk and pulled her iPhone out of her desk, and turned it on. 

This was her old phone and number that she only used from time to time. 

It was a reminder of her former life, the life where she was Mrs. O’Malley, the wife of a prominent lawyer who gave her everything and lived a life that on the outside looked happy. But on the inside, it wasn’t.

 Michael was controlling, abusive and angry, and Libby who was taught how to defend herself and trust cops her entire life became sad withdrawn, and not even trusting her family who was cops.

 She was scared that if she got back into this lifestyle she was going to go back to that. She couldn’t do that not now that she had Jay. 

She couldn’t. She wouldn’t.

Seeing that Libby was engrossed in her mission of texting Bianca, Jay went over to where Adam and Kevin were at

. “Keep an eye on her.” He said, keeping his voice low so only the two men going undercover with her could hear. 

“Course man.” Kevin said glancing over at Libby and then back at Jay, “Was it really that bad?” 

“Worse. Ask Carlie or Will they will tell you. Being with Michael wasn’t good for her. She drank heavily, lost a ton of weight, and almost got kicked off of the force.” Jay answered, “I am worried that she will lose control if she gets into deep.” 

“We won’t let that happen.” Adam said, “We got her back.”  The former Army Ranger nodded his head before going over to his wife and leaning against her desk. 

“You okay?” “I will be okay. Kev and Ruze won’t let anything happen to me. I have too much to lose this time around.” She said softly offering him a smile.

  He returned the smile before looking at the screen of the phone that lit up. “Looks like you are to meet Bianca soon.”  “Then we should get ready. It will take me a while to go into Mrs. O’Malley again.”

2398 - USS Titan was pulled from service after getting heavy casualties. Under Riker Titan and its crew stabilized the Beta Quadrant.

2399 - Dhaj, Soji’s sister is attacked and contacts Picard

- Seven finally avenges Icheb. Tracks down and kills Bjayzl.

- Hugh is killed, and Seven is summoned to the Artifact. Seven pilots the Artifact out of Romulan space and lands the Artifact on Coppelius for the remaining xBs to live in.

- Raffi's conspiracy theory is proven RIGHT. Zhat Vash conspiracy to destroy the Synthetic citizens of Coppelius.

- Late 2399 Raffi and Seven begin their on again and off again relationship.

- Events of No Man's Land happen with Seven and Raffi.

- Rios is reinstated in Starfleet, and becomes Captain of the Stargazer. Rios gives/sold La Sirena to Seven.

- Raffi regains her commission for Starfleet Intelligence and is immediately dropped into the situation in Ordeve. (Star Trek Picard: Second Self).

2400 - Raffi joins Starfleet Academy as an instructor, Elnor joins Starfleet as a cadet.

2401 - Raffi and Elnor join the Excelsior.

- The events of season 2 kicks off. A new transwerp is born, Jurati Borg requests to join the Federation.

- Rios decides to stay in 2024.

- Seven receives a field commission as captain and briefly commands The Stargazer.

- Janeway and Picard leans on Starfleet Command to make the commission official. Starfleet Command gives Seven full Commander rank and assigns Commander Seven of Nine to USS Titan.

- Frontier Day / The Borg Attack. USS Titan-A led by Captain Seven of Nine (field promotion) and Commander Raffi Musiker engages the Borg infected Starfleet Armada in defense of Earth and Spacedock. Enterprise-D crew finally destroys the original Borg Queen.

2402 - USS Titan-A is fixed and rechristened into the Starfleet Flagship: Enterprise-G, captained by Captain Seven of Nine with First Officer, Commander Raffi Musiker. They launch for a Shakedown cruise.

My mindset is Joel Osteen book blessed in the darkness you have to read the book I'm currently reading it now and I'm telling it now it will change your life it is about being in bad situations and still trusting God to see you through it and having unconditional trust with God you know me getting drafted by Jay Z while living in the New York City shelter system is very frustrating and to be a seasoned Quarterback it gets doubtful for the people around me but I'm optimistic I read Joel books 📚 that is why I don't want people to be like you heard the rumor that Jay Z the Roc Nation records owner and Executive of the tidal music streaming service is messing with a bum that he drafted a guy name Allen Henry his nephew Free World and until that comeback I'm just that a rumor it's true this the announcement of it I got so much work to do and a lot lot of learning to grow with you could see it in the Joe Montana and Bill Walsh relationship and Bill Walsh reason for selecting Joe Montana from Notre Dame in the Joe Cool documentary so I'm training for it I do light physical training aerobics to breathe and energize myself and then yes I did accomplish of all that my New York City list of accomplishments I'm a miracle story while living in the shelter some with former Governor Andrew Cuomo and former mayor Bill De Blasio to be a client and to actually help pay the counselors salary is amazing it is what do you do when you get a client like that in your custody I'm helping do you want to harm me and me and Bill De Blasio we passed the fair chance act to compete for a job of 2019 , Me and Governor Cuomo Legalize weed marijuana , boosted the base minimum wage salary level and many other things if you read my list of accomplishment that is part of the program Jay Z was talking about that made him select me in the draft the business incubator program which the hospital is name after me in Brooklyn it means I was suppose to revive business in New York and bring hope to them and their environment and get them more money longer employment and even more employment for people in surrounding environments and back to work programs basically I was hired to make life better for all New Yorkers from Rikers Island to We care programs and the economy I have won the Nobel peace prize once 🏆 and the Nobel memorial prize for economic sciences twice they share those honors with me but it is in my name thank you so much I'm honored they are mines and I cherish it basically I would get any job get my studio equipment but I'm in here stealing time I gave my self a new school schedule it was just little subjects I needed to know because truly ignorance is bad like I got the elect courses but I didn't get the fundamentals so I put myself through school again if you scroll you will see my schedule and class subjects I give myself to learn to be able to survive in New York City it takes a level of money to survive it is also take some education to make it in New York , High school education and definitely you gotta get college if you didn't go straight to the league then you gotta get your education and a job then work on your skills no it is never too late you can still be what you want to be so don't ever give up on your dreams and hopefully get you get your education while doing all of that but for me I kind of not educated all the way besides the deep stuff I learned in college or was reading on my own so I had to like relearn a lot of stuff just for skills that is used in the workplace and you know a general education school was fun but I missed it anybody that knows me I went to college without graduating high school or having my GED I just passed the entrance exam and got into college in Texas true story Baytown Texas 45 minutes from Houston Texas true that is cool I miss Texas 🤠 B probably hates this drama that is my fam and it is okay and Jay Z said yeah forever he will not change his mind to give me a tryout the role is mines see you soon shout out to my brother Vado from Harlem his music is hot that's it for me see you next season .

Happy 500th episode, Dancing With the Stars!

Not many shows make it to this milestone so I want to congratulate everyone who has been part of this legacy and helped get to this point. I look forward to 500 more episodes!

The show opened the same song that opened the very first episode - "Crazy in Love" by Beyonce and Jay-Z. Pasha and Daniella choreographed it and the number included Derek and Julianne as well as former pro Sharna Burgess. It was nice to see Sharna back in the ballroom! I also spotted Lindsay Arnold and Anna Trebunskaya in the audience. If you saw anyone else, please let me know. I'm sure I missed people.

I won't even go into naming the past stars who returned because I know I missed most of them.

In the first round, each star picked a standout routine from a previous season and put their own spin on it. Then in the second round, they had to face the instant dance. They would find out their dance style and song then have five minutes to put the routine together. The styles were chosen from ones the star had already done so they could at least have some practice before the show.

So each couple will have two sections to address each of their dances.

Dwight and Daniella: Dwight and Daniella decided to re-interpret James Hinchcliffe and Sharna's Argentine tango to "Santa Maria (del Buen Ayre)." And I felt that Daniella did most of the hard work in this dance. We know you can dance, Daniella. She's a fantastic dancer and has choreographed some amazing routines before but this one just didn't really show off Dwight. Even the judges called it out, asking to see more dancing from him in the second round.

Daniella was not happy that they got the paso doble for their instant dance. Dancing to "Victorious" by Panic! At the Disco, they did struggle with the dance. It looks like Daniella had some issues with her skirt but Dwight was a good partner and helped her through them. But it just wasn't as smooth or as strong as it could've been, even with the short turn around time. Dwight had started off hot and then cooled. He never regained that heat and so I wasn't surprised that he was the one eliminated that night. I wish he had gone out on stronger dances but he can still be proud of the work he did this season. I look forward to seeing him in a couple weeks on the finale.

Chandler and Brandon: Chandler and Brandon got the first perfect score of the season with their interpretation of the Argentine tango to "Para Te" that Kellie Pickler and Derek danced. It was filled with content and tricks that showed off Chandler's skills. She also continued to prove to Carrie Ann that she was in the zone and letting herself dig deeper, tapping into a serious but also sensual side that worked well for the dance. Most of all, they got the ultimate compliment when Derek said he preferred their version to his.

Chandler chose the cha-cha for the instant dance and they were assigned "Apple" by Charli XCX. Watching her cha-cha, it didn't look like she and Brandon had just put it together in five minutes. It was clean, crisp and timed perfectly to the music. They worked well together and looked like they had spent all week preparing it. They definitely earned that second perfect score!

Joey and Jenna: Joey chose to re-interpret Riker Lynch's contemporary to Hozier's "Work Song." He and Jenna wanted to highlight their strong partnership and I think they succeeded. Their contemporary had a lot of aspects that required them to trust each other and to be perfectly in sync to pull them off. But I feel Joey got a little lost in the beginning (not steps wise, just not doing much) and Jenna really did the heavy lifting. It changed up and he showed why he is a serious contender.

Joey chose the rumba and they were assigned Billie Eilish's "Birds of Feather." He started off strong but there was a moment in the middle where I could see him lose his confidence. He didn't falter much but they also didn't end up finishing strong. He slid to join Jenna too late and it wasn't very graceful. However, his routine was pretty good up to that point and it was impressive given how quickly they had to put it together.

Stephen and Rylee: Stephen and Rylee took on Charli and Mark's Viennese waltz to "Glimpse of Us." Mark even stopped by to give Stephen some pointers ahead of his performance and it worked. Stephen had another strong performance, showing how he's grown as a dancer. He looked elegant and strong, leading the dance more than following Rylee. It was absolutely beautiful and I'm so proud of how far he's come.

Stephen got the jive for the instant dance and was assigned Olivia Rodrigo's "love is embarrassing," which was a good choice for a jive. It was a good routine for the most part and I didn't see any major mess ups. There was a trick at the end that I think didn't go exactly as planned but it was fine. Overall, the routine didn't look as polished as their other routines and if someone said they had five minutes to put it together, I think you would believe them. But it was still a really good routine for the little time they had to learn it. So kudos to him!

Ilona and Alan: Ilona and Alan tackled the quickstep when they chose to re-interpret Jordan and Lindsay's routine to Pharrell's "Chuck Berry." It was high energy and perfect for Ilona. She showed off why she deserved to go through to the semi-finals and maybe even to the finals. While she's still stronger in hold with Alan, she handled the side-by-sides pretty well as well. Ilona has definitely improved throughout the season and I really would love it if she went all the way. Go, Ilona!

Ilona pulled the salsa for her instant dance and was assigned "Da'Dip" by Freak Nasty. Like Stephen, her instant dance was good but not as polished as it could've been. There were no glaring mistakes but a trick also did them in, with Ilona coming close to landing on the floor. But they recovered for a decent ending with Alan sitting on Ilona's shoulder. I think he really enjoys having a partner who can lift him and he can enjoy these tricks as well. But their salsa was fun and they held their own, another reason why I really want them to go through to the finals.

Danny and Witney: Danny and Witney re-interpreted Helio and Julianne's quickstep to "Hey, Pachuco," probably the only routine from the early seasons of the show to be selected. Danny taught Witney the fast feet exercise used in football practices and they incorporated it into their routine, which was nice. However, I wasn't really wowed by their routine. It was good but not great to me. I think Danny could still sneak into the finale but not with a routine like this.

Danny started off good with his instant jive to "Good Golly Miss Molly" but I think the beat got away from him. He lost some footing and it just didn't look as good as the others. But he still made it to the end without a major catastrophe, which still shows how talented he can be. He's the only one who hasn't been in the bottom yet, which could bode well for his chances to get into the finale but I don't think this night was one of his best.

So that was the 500th episode! It certainly had some twists and turns. I'm not sure if they'll bring back the instant dance again and I don't think the pros will miss it. Honestly, I don't think I will either. I think I would prefer the 24 hour fusion.

Next time will be the semi-finals. Hard to believe the season is almost over! Who will advance to the finals? We'll find out then!

Kalief Browder (May 25, 1993 – June 6, 2015) was an African American youth from The Bronx, who was held at the Rikers Island jail complex, without trial, (2010-13) for allegedly stealing a backpack containing valuables. During his imprisonment, he was in solitary confinement for 700 days.
