Came by to say I’m listening to The Mechanic and The Goodbye Song again ㅠㅠ I can’t get enough of those songs specifically istg 😭 All of your recs were great but those two just hit different.

Also, I come bearing the gift of a few songs I’ve found recently that I thought you might like! 🥹🫶🏻

The first song (title translates to 25, 21) is a lot more along the lines of The Mechanic and The Goodbye Song, since it’s a lot more ballad-y/ singer-songwriter. The second one is a lot more recent (as I’m sure you’re aware 😭) and also has a somewhat different vibe, but I think the vibes could be like… sisters, if that makes sense lmfao. I hadn't listened much of k-rock before so thank you for introducing me to Jaurim. I just can't get enough of the vocalist's angelic voice like have you seen that control, that timbre??

Oh the longing, the painful nostalgia for youth and the past... While the lyrics were already very gut-punching, the way Kim Yoon Ah performs it is a cherry on the top. The band itself seems to be an indie group at first so their success in popular media is remarkable. God I really need to dive into them because it seems like I have 25 years of content to consume.

I really like the analogy you used- "Vibes could be like sisters" When studied closely, they seem like worlds apart. Different genres, different voices. But when you take a few steps back you can really see the resemblance! The cry, the musical yowling, the artistic pain in the melody changes shape yet still feels the same. The instrumental beat scratches an itch in my brain with this song.
