A/N: Don’t mind me, just tryna make Henry Hart fics for all you out there. This one is sad and I think a bit on the angst side.
Might be typos, be warned, but enjoy!
Pairing: Henry Hart x Reader
‼️PART TWO IS OUT‼️
Ring…
Ring…..
Ring…Ring….
‘Please leave your message after the beep..’
I sighed and clutched the phone tightly in my hand, as I spoke into the speaker phone. “Hey Henry, it’s me again. Where are you this is the third time your phone went to voicemail, just please call me.” I said, before hanging up and sat on my bed.
A soft knock could be heard on my bedroom door, before the person walks in, that person being my mother. “Still nothing?” She asked standing in the doorway. “Not even Charlotte? Jasper?”
I shook my head no, and she put a hand on my back. “I don’t know what’s going on, and I don’t want to but since he’s not answering his phone why not go over to his house? Ask his parents where he could be?”
“I would, but I don’t want to sound like a bother.”
“I’m sure you wouldn’t, you just want to check on him. It’s a very special day for you too.” I nod in understanding, and stood up from my bed.
I have my mom a hug and thanked her, before grabbing my phone and left the house, heading over to his.
Not too long after I stood in-front of his house, and knocked on the door. To which his mom answered the door, “Sorry to bother, but do you know where Henry is?”
She shook her head ‘no,’ in response. “I thought he was with you.”
“No, he isn’t, I’ve been calling and texting. Nothing.” She furrowed her brows in confusion, before inviting me inside, calling her husband downstairs. “Have you seen Henry?”
“No, I thought he was with (Y/N).” He replied not having noticed me yet, until Siren pointed at me. “Oh… that’s not good, is it?”
She rolled her eyes before asking, if he could check Henry’s room for her. We sat in an uncomfortable silence, before he came downstairs. “He’s not here, but his window was open.”
‘His window?’ I thought, before standing up making a beeline to the front door.
“I think, I might know where he might be. I’ll give you guys a call.” They didn’t have a chance to respond, with how quickly I left the room.
It took a while, but I walked all the way to his job, ‘Junk n’ Stuff.’ I looked inside the window and it looked empty, it didn’t look like anyone was inside.
I tried opening the front door, and to my surprise, it was actually unlocked. I walked further into the store calling out Henry’s name. “Henry? Henry?? Are you here?”
No one was in the front of the store, so I walked behind the counter and obviously no one was there, but I looked away.
When I was just about to give up, I found something..
‘An evaluator behind the counter?’ I thought to myself. I didn’t know where it went or if it was even stable, but I was going to take my chances.
I pressed the button and waited for the elevator doors to open, and stepped in. I was pressed the down button it rapidly went down at an alarming rate and I fell to the elevator floor.
The elevator came to an abrupt stop, and I groaned.
‘This elevator definitely isn’t up to code.’ I sigh and stood up slowly, waiting for the doors to open.
I walk in and see a place, that I have never seen before. I scan the room, and to my surprise no one was here. I walked over to the camera/computer type thing, and reached down to press a button before I heard someone walking in.
I ran to hide behind the couch and waited.
“Come on, Schwoz. Do you really this’ll work?”
“Why wouldn’t it?”
“This is your third time trying to time travel, what makes you think this toaster with the antennas and tinfoil going to do?”
“It could, you just need to believe.”
“Keep trying, buddy.”
I listened in on their conversation, the guy I didn’t recognize, but the girl sounded a lot like Charlotte.
“Uhh..hello?” The guy said from behind clearly noticing that I was hiding.
“Who are you talking to?”
“This girl hiding behind the couch.” He said, and Char immediately went to check behind the couch and saw me crouched down.
“(Y/N)?” She asked and I stood up. “What are you doing here?”
“I could ask you the same thing, I’ve been texting you, Jasper and Henry. What is going on? And where is he?”
“We’re back! You’ll never believe it, that movie was so good… oh man..” I seen Henry and Ray walk in from another exit in the room with buckets of popcorn and soda.
“Henry..” I exclaimed, furrowing my brows and folded my arms.
“It’s not me you’re sleepwalking and this is all a dream,” He says and started moving his hands in front of my face and I smacked his hands away.
“Henry!”
“Alright, I can explain.” He sighs, looking me in the eyes. “This a traveling circus and Schwoz is our Dumbo!”
“Don’t be ridiculous, at least let me be the clown, I have the outfit and everything!”
“Henry! The truth!”
“Okay! Okay. Truth is Ray and I, we’re Captain Man and Kid Danger.” He says.
“I already know that, Hen.” I replied and everyone had their eyes wide.
“You knew?!” They already screamed in unison, and I look at them as if they’re crazy.
“How could I not know?! You sound like Kid Danger, look like Kid Danger. Let’s not forget that you happen to disappear when they’re both in any form of Danger.” I replied watching as the others sat down at the table watching me and Henry over some half eaten popcorn.
“So, if you already know, then what did you want me to tell you?”
“You really don’t remember do you?” I asked, watching him scour his brain trying to figure out what today way. I take out my phone and show him a video of us when we made it official, a year ago.
“It’s our one year…” He mumbled, looking up from my phone, as Ray audibly went ‘oooo,’ as if he was watching a telenovela.
“And you ditched me for a movie? One you can see when it comes out on dvd and blu-ray?” I exclaimed.
“No!”
“Oh, yes he did, girl.” Ray said shoving popcorn in his mouth, as if it was more entertaining than the movie they watched.
“Not on purpose! I promise, I’ll make it up to you.”
“You can’t just make up a first year. You only get one of those, and we didn’t get to celebrate it!”
“You tell him, girl.” Ray said, and Henry looked him trying to get him to stop. “Ray!”
I shake my head taking my phone from him, going back to the elevator, and stepped inside. “(Y/N) wait, please.”
“Not right now, please? I just want to go home.”
“Want me to walk you home?”
“I’ll be fine, I just need to be alone right now. I’ll let your parents know you’re okay.” I press the buttons to close the doors and rested my back again the one of the walls and took a deep breath.
I called Henry’s parents on the way home and let them know he was fine. As soon as I got to my home, I laid down on my bed. Ignoring anyone that tried talking with me, just waiting for sleep to overtake me.

The crystal blue water of the Tyrrhenian Sea is calm, the wind gently blowing the sails of the Deep Blue Oasis as it rocks back and forth slowly. That was the name of Joel’s boat, one of his most prized possessions. A gateway to the unknown where he could clear his mind and get lost on the aqua ocean tides that have called to him for as long as he could remember.
A call to the side of him that loves history , ancient things, and to the treasure hunter in himself. He spent countless days out on the tides of the sea, always looking for hidden treasures that may be hiding under the deep blue water. His scattered map was marked with red inked circles and x’s of areas where there was said to be lost treasures down below. He swore to his father he’d find them one day and make him proud.
Joel’s father was a wealthy businessman, always focused on the clients in Italy and making a fortune of his own. Joel didn’t want to follow in his footsteps. He wanted to be out on the sea, out where the ocean breeze could ruffle through his curly locks and carry him into the unknown. He always loved the water and the salty sea air, always wanted to become a sailor to travel the world. His father never approved of it, though. He said it was a waste of time and money, until that dark day that he passed away. His last dying breath was him telling Joel to buy a big boat and sail. Make me proud, son. Follow your dream. Those words still haunt him to this day, the few words he begged his father to say his entire life. So on his thirtieth birthday, that’s exactly what he did.
Five years later Joel had his own boat, his own crew, his own freedom to do as he pleased. His crew wasn’t the most trustful men, but they earned his trust little by little. He befriended some filthy pirates on one of his sea explorations a couple of years ago. At first they threatened him, but he was smart and talked them out of stealing from him and taking over his boat. He offered them so much money that they couldn’t refuse. They agreed to work for him and show him parts of the sea that he’d never been to. Sure, they had their flaws and their bad habits, but he couldn’t do this without them. So he decided to give them a chance.
Joel unfolds his large map of the area and lays it out flat on the side of the railings, studying the area like he knows exactly where he’s headed to. He rolls up his white cotton sleeves and traces lines of the faded map, mapping out this specific area with the tip of his finger.
“Captain Miller, the boys think it’s in this area,” Jasper voices over the blowing breeze, making Joel stop to look up from his marked map.
“What is?” he asks with a raised brow.
“The hidden underwater city of Capri,” Jasper says with excitement in his flushed swampy eyes. His linens are tattered, his blonde hair outgrown and unkempt, his crooked smile waning up at Joel as mischief plays in his scattered mind.
“I thought that was just a folktale? The underwater city. People have searched for years and found nothing. What makes you so sure this place is here?” Joel asks with narrowed dark eyes, waiting for an honest answer from his so-called pirate friend.
“Mermaids, cap’n. They’re here in this area,” Jasper says with the gleam of his eye, sure of himself as much as he’s sure of how to sail this boat.
“Mermaids…” Joel questions, flicking his eyes out to the blue tides as the water gently laps at the large rocks in the water. “I’ve never seen a mermaid, Jas. Only seen them in some old books in my study. As far as I’m concerned, they aren’t here.”
Joel starts to turn around, but Jasper catches his arm. “I swear on my life, mate. They're as real as you and me. Seen one with my own eyes. Not long ago either. Beautiful creatures they are, their siren songs able to hypnotize anyone who dares to look them in the eyes. Saw one drown one of my men before. Grabbed him by the arm and pulled him under with her song. He was never seen again,” he says with sad eyes, looking out into the bright horizon as seagulls and pelicans flock the sunny sky.
Joel ticks his jaw and looks out amongst the miles and miles of open ocean, only seeing the lapping waves as they hit the bottom of the boat. “Jasper, I’m gonna have to see one with my own eyes to believe it. Maybe it was sun poison that made you see things.”
“It wasn’t sun poison, Joel! If you won’t believe me, then I pray one day you do see one. Am I one to lie?” he asks with a heated stare and a hand on his grimy hip.
Joel knits his brows together and stares for a minute at the pirate that swears on his life he’s seen a mermaid. While Jasper doesn’t usually lie to Joel, he’s still a pirate. Still willing to lie and cheat his way around the system. But he’s also the most trustful of his crew, so he’s torn. Maybe it wasn’t a mermaid he saw, but maybe another sea creature. Yes. That’s what it must’ve been. Something else.
Joel puts a hand on Jasper’s shoulder and nods his head. “Sure, Jas. But let’s keep our eyes out for this.” Joel puts his index finger on the red x that’s marked right around the sea cave that sits a few hundred feet from the boat. Supposedly there was a ship wreck that happened years ago, and men have tried and failed to discover what great treasures were lost to the sea that day. Those who go in, never come out. Joel would find out, though. One way or another he’d discover the secret of what happened so many years ago.
“Go on and have the men anchor the boat. Wanna stay here overnight and see if we can find anything.”
Jasper nods his head and huffs out a breath. “Yes, cap’n. Right away.” He turns and yells at the men to hoist the anchor and get ready to search the area.
Joel folds the map back up and places it in the pocket of his tan trousers. He sighs and looks out at the massive sea cave, watching the waves churn calmly against the rough rocks.
Mermaids. There couldn’t be any. He would’ve seen one before, would’ve remembered if he did. He lets his thoughts go back to the task at hand and clears his mind. No time to think of maybe’s and false folklore. It was time to find some treasure.
The water is crystal clear today, sunlight beaming through the long seaweed that sits tangled in the ocean. You swim your way past a pod of dolphins, waving hello to the newborn calves as they whistle out their greetings. You dive down hundreds of feet and hum your favorite lullaby. The one your mom used to sing you every night before you fell asleep in the comfy bed of a massive clam shell.
A school of colorful fish swim past you, and you smile up at them as you propel yourself faster to get to your favorite discrete area of the bay. You call it the moonlight sea cave because at night you can see the moon shine all the way through the entire cave system, even under the water. It’s beautiful, a place where you can go to think and relax.
You always have to sneak off to this area. Your sisters would never approve, and you shudder thinking how your father would react. How many times has he told you to never go up to the surface again? How many times had your sisters dragged you back home over the years? You couldn’t keep track, didn’t want to think about it.
After that awful day that happened so many years ago, you weren’t supposed to want to go back up to the surface. You weren’t supposed to look for treasure that humans always dropped off their boats, but you still did. And you definitely weren’t supposed to be this close to shore, but you were still quite a ways out. Your father would kill you if he found you swimming around these parts, but you chose to ignore his wishes like you always did.
You swim up to the surface and lift your face into the sunlight, breathing the fresh salty air as you inhale the warm breeze. You push your long hair over your shoulder and take a few strides through the water, floating in the waves as the salt water dries on your shoulders.
When you look up, you freeze as your blood runs cold. A boat, there’s a boat. It’s big, towering over the water as a crew of men work on casting nets and walk along the deck. You duck down in fear and hide behind a rock, hoping that they haven't seen you. You slowly peek your head around the corner and stop in your tracks when you see him. The most beautiful man you’ve ever laid your eyes on.
He’s tall, broad shouldered, and has the most beautiful smile you’ve ever seen. His hair is dark, tousled curls blowing in the wind as a few strands fall near his eyes. Brown, warm flecks coat his eyes. Eyes you could get lost in, eyes that you’d now dream about for days on end. And his arms. They’re strong, built, powerhouses that could take down a large man. The top buttons on his white cotton shirt are open, exposing tanned skin that must bathe in the sunlight on a regular basis.
You’re supposed to hate humans. You don’t trust them, you don’t think you could ever trust them again. But him… he looks like a walking dreamboat, a sailor you’d like to get to know. He doesn’t look like all the other ones, no. He looks kind, caring, maybe even dare you say trusting. But he’s a human, and you’re a mermaid. This can’t happen, this can’t ever happen.
Scar bumps your hip with his large fin as he makes a circle around you, warning you that you could be seen. “It’s okay, Scar. They can’t see me, I don’t think. It’s alright.”
He bumps you again with his snout and looks at you with his big black eyes, his dorsal fin coming just above the surface. He tells you to be careful, tells you he doesn’t want anything bad to happen to you. You only smile and brush your hand against his sandpaper like skin.
“I’m alright. Promise. Go on, I’ll be fine. Just gonna stay here for a few minutes,” you confirm. He huffs out a sigh and dives back down into the deep depths of the water, but he stays close. He always stays close. Who knew that a great white shark would be one of your best friends in the sea? They usually don’t want anything to do with mermaids, but you saved him that awful day that was full of bloodshed and death. And ever since then he never left your side. You were grateful for him. He was the best protector you ever had.
You stay there against the rock and lean your elbows up on it, continuing to watch the handsome man look over what looks like an old map of some sort. You lap your tail up and down in the water and lean your cheek against the rock, daydreaming of meeting the man with dark eyes.
He was going to get you in trouble, but you didn’t care. You’d risk your life just to get a chance to stare into the maps of his golden brown eyes.
Joel clings to the side of the boat as he digs his nails into the warm, polished wood. He turns his head to watch his crew stay busy on the deck as they bustle around and drag their worn out shoes against the floorboards. He sighs and takes another look at his intricate map, tracing his finger over every crevice of the parchment until he gets frustrated and throws his head up to look out on the bright horizon.
As soon as he looks up, he stops cold as he spots the gleam of a sparkling tail in the near distance. It’s not just a tail, there’s a girl leaning up against a rock that’s staring right back at him. He rubs his eyes to make sure it’s not the sun playing tricks on his mind, but she still appears there in the same spot just staring blankly at him. He sees a young woman who’s beautiful, dreamlike, something he only thought was a fantasy. He sees you, a mermaid…
Mermaids aren’t real, mermaids can’t be real. But how does he explain what he clearly sees now? You are very much real.
His ears ring with white noise, the sounds of his crew scrubbing along the deck nearly nonexistent now. It’s just you and him, staring at each other as if you’re the only two people out on the calm waters. It’s just the gentle breeze kissing his tanned skin and the distant noise of waves lapping against the rock that you so subtly lean against, eyes locking with each other as if the world crashes on its side to bring the two of you together.
He grabs his golden telescope, looking through the lense as you come into view just inches from his vision. The sight of you nearly knocks the breath out of him, his eyes widen as he takes in the beauty that sits before him. He thinks you’re the most beautiful creature he’s ever laid eyes on, thinks you’re absolutely divine, a treasure that should be well cared for.
His eyes trail down your lush curves, taking in the dusty coral colored seashells that cover your breasts, scanning every inch of your shimmering tail that’s soft pink as it flicks back and forth against the water. It’s almost sparkling like diamonds, maybe even soft to the touch. He wonders what you feel like, what you sound like. He bets your voice is like an angel’s, captivating and melodic like nothing he’s ever heard on earth. He wonders what your hands feel like, how they’d feel entwined in his own.
You should swim away, dive back underneath the blue water, but you can’t move. You can’t look away from the handsome stranger. You want to know his name, want to ask him all about what land life is like, want to know if his voice is as soft as his tousled curls look, want to see him again and again…
“Cap’n, whatcha lookin’ at?” Jasper asks as he comes up to Joel and nearly sends him over the edge of the boat. Joel drops the telescope from his unsteady hand, and it lands in a heap on the wooden deck. He scrambles to pick it up, and when he stands up and looks back out at the rock he sees that you’re gone.
He huffs out a sigh and shakes his head slowly. “It was nothing, Jas. Just thought I saw something. Was only a dolphin, nothing else,” he says with a hint of sadness on his tongue, wishing you were still on the rock so he could look into your entrancing eyes.
“Too bad it wasn’t a mermaid. Could’ve made you a true believer,” Jasper laughs as he hits Joel on the back of the shoulder with more force than he meant to.
“Yeah, too bad…” Joel says quietly as he stares at the vacant rock, doing nothing for his peace of mind as he wishes you were still there.
When he turns away from the rock, he sets his eyes back on the folded out map and grabs it up, heading toward the rest of his crew as they send down row boats to go inspect the area.
Joel makes a promise to himself then. Tonight he’ll go out late at night and look for you, hoping you’ll hear his thoughts that he wants to see you again. He will see you again. That’s a promise he will surely keep.
Later that night, Joel tosses and turns in his cabin quarters underneath the boat. He can’t sleep, can’t think as he tosses and turns back and forth in his bed. He thinks of you, the way your tail shimmered in the glow of the sun, how your eyes called to him from the deck of the boat. He needs to see you again. He needs to talk to you.
He crawls out of the bed and throws on his leather boots, lacing them up as he climbs up the stairs and enters into the glow of the full moon as the stars sparkle in the sky. He tiptoes around drunken pirates that are passed out cold on the deck, snoring and limbs scattered about as he passes them carefully to not wake them.
He paces the upper deck, sliding his hands along the edge, searching and searching for any sign of moment in the water. He only sees the faint laps of water against the boat, sees nothing out of the ordinary. He starts to doubt himself, maybe he saw nothing. Maybe it really was the sun playing tricks on his brain. It wouldn’t be the first time.
He sighs and starts to turn around, until he hears a soft melody carrying through the water. He turns around sharply and latches onto the wooden edge of the boat, eyes searching as he hears the sing-song voice start to come closer. It’s angelic, harmonious, nothing that he’d ever heard before. It sends him into a trance-like state, needing to find the owner of the beautiful song.
You wade through the water, flipping your tail as you hide behind the large rocks, singing the song of your people as you let your voice blow through the breeze, hoping he can hear you, hoping he’ll come.
Please, come. Come out to the sea, let me see your beautiful face.
You let your voice carry over the water, humming out melodic notes as you flip through the water. He has to come. He has to hear your voice, has to listen to you call him with your siren song. Come on, handsome sailor. Come find me.
You peek your head out from behind the rock and see him standing there on the deck, staring at you as his eyes go wide. You smile triumphantly as you duck back under the water, tempting him to come chase you.
Come get me, come get me. Find me under the water.
Joel wastes no time and lowers a wooden row boat to the water, climbing down a ladder as he jumps carefully onto the small boat as it rocks underneath his weight. He rows it out slowly to the middle of the water, searching his eyes every which way to find you.
“Where are you? Come out,” he whispers into the crisp night air.
He hears a splash to the left of him and throws his head in that direction. He sees small bubbles that form over the water, but there’s no sign of you. He sighs and pulls his eyes toward the rock and then he sees you.
He audibly gasps as you splash your tail and hide back behind the shelter of the big foundation in the water, nerves pulling in you as you’re so close to the human. The human with dark eyes and beautiful face. A human you want to meet.
He crawls to the edge of the little boat and places his hands on the edge, calling out to you in a deep voice that sends goosebumps down your arms. “Hey, come out. It’s alright, I won’t hurt you. Please, don’t hide,” he says, calmly holding out an arm as if he wants you to take it.
You peek your head out from behind the rock carefully and see him leaning against the boat, a little too close to the water. He doesn’t know what dangers lurk beneath him, what things would reach out and drag him under the water.
You shouldn’t go, shouldn’t talk to a human. Humans are bad, humans are cold, cruel, vial. They killed so many of your kind, tortured your friends of the sea. But him… Well, he looks kind. He looks… safe. Safe? Could humans be safe? No. Could they…
This was stupid and reckless. You start to turn back into the shadows until he calls out to you again. “Wait, please. Don’t go. Stay,” he pleads, his eyes searching yours with some kind of intensity and longing that you’ve never seen before. It frightens you more than the horrors humans have caused in your life.
Stay. The word wracks your brain over and over as it pulls at your insides.
Stay. He asked you to stay. You decide then that that’s exactly what you’ll do. You’ll stay. You’ll stay for him. You might regret it later, but for now this is what you wanted. What you needed to do.
You start to swim slowly over to him, diving under the water and breaching just inches from his wooden boat. You come up for air, realizing just how close you are to his face now. He’s so beautiful, the most beautiful man you’ve ever seen in your life.
His skin is tan, the sun bronzing him as he seems to spend days on end on the water. His shoulders are broad, so strong as your eyes trail down his thick arms, ropes of taut veins spread wide over his lower arms. His hands look strong, big, calloused from working on a boat. You bet they feel nice, would like to feel them pressed up against your face or maybe have them entwined with your fingers.
His dark, tousled curls kiss his forehead as stray curls fall over his skin. You have to stop yourself from reaching out your hand to push them back into place. You think it must feel so soft, so smooth…
And his eyes. God, his eyes. They’re deep brown, flecks of golden warmth sprawled across the crevices of his irises. They’re beautiful, deep, intricate as they study you carefully.
He digs his hands into the side of the boat and leans so far forward you’re afraid it may tip over. You make sure that it doesn’t because these waters are dangerous to humans, dangerous to men such as himself.
He looks at you with wide eyes, his lips parting as he takes in your features. He’s so close that he can make out details he couldn’t see up on the boat through the telescope. Like your eyes. He’d never seen such beautiful eyes such as yours. They glisten like the stars, almost as deep as the ocean itself, captivating and breathtaking.
He takes in your long hair that sits over your shoulders as you nervously run your hands through the damp strands. And then there’s your tail. That glittering, magnificent tail that almost looks too intricate to be real. He focuses on each shiny scale, watching the way the colors go from a deep pink to a lighter flamingo shade of coral. He wants so badly to reach his hand out to touch it, see how it feels underneath the weight of his calloused fingers.
Just one touch, that’s all he needs. One touch to make this dream a harsh reality as a mermaid sits right in front of him, right in his grasp.
You see the way he stares all transfixed and in a trancelike spell. You might be insane, but the first words fall from your lips without a hint of hesitation there. “Do you want to touch it?” you ask shyly, pulling back a lock of hair behind your ear as you position your tail so it’s sitting out of the water, just inches from his waiting hand.
“What?” he asks surprised, eyes wider than the full moon in the clear night sky.
“My tail. Do you want to touch it?” you ask again with more courage this time, flicking your tail above the water as you entice him to go on.
“Oh-uh… yes,” he whispers out as he slowly but steadily reaches his arm out, ever so carefully extending his fingers as they brush over the side of your tail.
He gasps as his fingers come in contact with the shiny scales, like the breath has been knocked clear out of him. It’s nothing like he imagined it’d be. It’s softer than he thought possible, smooth as he glides his fingers underneath the cold water.
You almost stop breathing as you feel his fingers explore the magnificent scales on your long tail, almost sigh at the contact of his skin. No one had ever touched you quite like this, even if it was just the brush of fingertips. It feels… good. And you want more, need more.
He pulls his hand back out of the water, and you almost whine as you lose the contact of his fingers. You’d let him touch you again, let him marvel your tail all night if he wanted to. It was silly really, how attracted you were to him when you only just met him. He was just that beautiful, that mesmerizing. And for a moment you think he is the siren, not you.
“You’re a… you’re a…” he stutters, voice hoarse as he continues to stare at you with a starstruck gaze. He’d never seen a mermaid before, that much is certain.
“A mermaid?” you finish for him, almost giggling at his gaping stare.
“Yes,” he says in disbelief, nodding his head up and down. “I didn’t know you, mermaids existed,” he says with a look that says everything you need to know. He’s harmless, not here to hurt you.
“Well, we’re very much real. We’re just discrete, careful. We don’t really come up to the surface, not anymore,” you say quietly, shaking away the memories of distant screams and bloodshed that once was long ago. The memories are too painful to relive, so you lock them out of your mind and try to forget every day that you exist in a world that did that to your kind.
He doesn’t ask about the distant sadness in your eyes, you just smile and clear your eyes as you continue to gaze up at him curiously.
“What’s your name?” he asks slowly, eyes never leaving yours as you let your name slip past your tongue. You drop it carefully, giving him information that seems too personal, but you’re in too deep now. You want to know about him, and he clearly wants to know about you. So you’ll let him in, even if that’s a bad idea. A very bad idea.
He repeats your name slowly, going over every syllable so carefully as it rolls off his lips effortlessly. It sounds beautiful the way he says it. You could lean against the edge of the boat and lay your head against your arm as you look up and hear him repeat your name over and over again. Almost like a lullaby as it could put you to sleep with how deep and mesmerizing his smooth voice sounds.
“My name’s Joel. Joel Miller,” he says with deep brown eyes looking down into yours.
You repeat the name over and over in your mind. Joel, Joel, Joel. It pulls at you, calls you as you hook your fingers around the edge of the small boat and feel his hand brush up against yours. You gasp and pull your hand back, feeling an electrical shock run through your entire arm at the connection of skin on skin with him. You’d never felt that before, that kind of connection with anyone. This was new, this was scary, this was dangerous.
He notices the panic in your eyes and puts his hands up calmly. “Hey, hey. It’s okay, darlin’. I’m not gonna hurt you. See?” he asks as he surrenders his hands, letting you know he means no harm.
Darlin’. The name sends warmth through your stomach as you mull over his words. I’m not gonna hurt you. You let those words be a promise as you cautiously put your hands back on the edge of the boat. He brings his hands back down, just enough where if you shift your fingers they’d brush up against his. But for now you stay like this, just enough to still feel that electricity deep in your body.
“Darling, what’s that?” you ask with a raised brow, not having heard the word before.
“You’ve never heard the word darlin’ before?” he asks as he knits his thick brows together, pulling at the seams of your heart.
You shake your head no as droplets of water trickle down your back. “No, guess I haven’t,” you say with an even breath.
“It’s just a term of endearment where I’m from. A nickname, you can say,” he answers, his hand moving just enough for him to brush the outer edge of your pinky finger. You suck in a breath and try not to get too flustered at the action.
“Oh, I see,” you say quietly. “Darlin’, I like that…”
You ponder over the name and ask something else in return. “Do you have any other nicknames you use?” you ask, biting your lip at the question as you wait patiently.
He twitches his jaw and looks you over carefully before he responds. “I mean, there’s a lot I could use, I suppose. Darlin’ just comes naturally to me, but you…” His soft brown eyes flick over yours slowly before he speaks again. “Sirena, yeah. I like that,” he smiles to himself as your lips curl up slowly.
“Sirena, hmmmm,” you hum to yourself. “I like that, but what does it mean?”
“It comes from a Greek word. It means siren or enchantress, which you are. You are quite enchanting,” he says with a gleam in his eyes, his words in a trancelike state as he stares into your eyes.
You gulp at the meaning, eyes fixed on his intently. He called you enchanting, he thinks you’re enchanting. It shouldn’t make you feel so much closer to him, it’s only a nickname, a silly name. But it does. It does.
When you don’t speak, he asks another question. “What’s it like out there? Under the water? To be able to breathe and see things I couldn’t quite imagine myself?” His brown eyes sink into yours, shifting his weight slightly as the wooden boat creaks underneath him.
“It’s the most amazing thing you could imagine,” you say enchanted, your tail grazing above the water as you spin up a small current underneath you. “Unearthly, exquisite. There’s truly nothing like being able to connect with nature, to be able to see the wonders of fathoms below that no human has seen before. It’s freeing, beautiful, amazing, but…”
Your voice cuts off at the last part, thinking about all the things you wish you knew about the real world outside the waters of your home. Something you always wanted to know ever since you could remember. A taste for knowledge of the outside world, the human world.
“But what?” he asks quietly, almost putting his hand on top of yours before you shy away and move your fingers out of his reach.
“I just… I just wonder what the human world is like sometimes. I shouldn’t. I know I shouldn’t. But I just have that deep fascination with things I don’t quite understand. I crave to know the history of the land, want to know what it’s like to touch actual sand out of the water. Want to know how a…. oh, what’s the word?” you wrack your brain for what seems like minutes until you think of the word you once saw on a picture in a book. “How a fire burns,” you say proudly after remembering the strange words.
“Maybe I can teach you a thing or two about the human world. If you teach me about the underwater world.”
You mull over the words, think of what you could be risking. You could expose too much, you could open up a can of worms that you couldn’t close. You could risk everything. But for him maybe it was worth the risk. You could trust him, right?
As if he can read your mind, he places a hand gently on top of yours and you gasp at the contact. His touch is so careful, so soft atop yours. You think you like it, a lot. “You can trust me, darlin’. I swear on my life, I won’t hurt you. Do you trust me?”
Do you trust me? The words ring through your head as you question the words yourself. Trust was a big deal, trust meant you were putting your own life on the line. But as you look into his soft brown eyes and see the genuine smile curled on his plush lips, you can’t help but lose yourself as you automatically nod and respond, “I trust you.”
His face is so close to yours, so close that if he leaned down just a little he could brush his lips against yours. It’s as if he can hear the wild beating of your heart as it beats like a pod of dolphins traveling as fast as lightning through the water. Your eyes gaze into his, begging him to sink his lips down to yours.
He reaches his hand out and traces the edge of your jawline slowly, intimately. You gasp at the feel of him, as his calloused fingers trail gently over your skin. It feels warm, safe, so very right like his hand was made to touch you, to know you. He sees you. He sees you.
Just when he’s about to lean down and give you what you desire, the boat suddenly flips over and Joel goes crashing into the water.
“Joel!” you scream as you dive down to retrieve him, but he’s not there where he should be. Where is he? You call his name again, search below the dark depths below, twist your way through the seaweed and look frantically around until you see what exactly happened.
Your eyes go wide, a scream escaping your mouth as you find two of your sisters holding him down below the water trying to drown him. He fights their grip, trying to hold his breath as he looks terrified of what’s happening. Your sisters just smile vindictively to each other as their aquamarine and deep purple tails flick against the water and draw their sharp nails into his arms.
“Stop!” you beg as you swim desperately up to them and try to grab his arms out of their reach. They back up just enough so you can’t quite grab him.
Cleo stands her grown and flashes her white incisors your way as her blue tail fans out behind her. “He’s a human! A man, for crying out loud! All men should die for what they did to us,” she spits out, a snarl deep on her flawless face as your other sister Marissa agrees with her.
“He’s different. Joel is different!” you plead, reaching your hand out again.
“Joel. You know him by name? Can you believe that, Cleo? He has a name. How thoughtful of our sister to learn such information of this beast,” she laughs sadistically as she yanks him under again.
You watch his eyes start to close, watch his breath gasp for air as he slowly fades from the light. You grow desperate, hasty as you swim with all your might to grab his arms out of your sisters’ grip.
“Please, he’s kind! Don’t do this. Don’t take this one!” you beg as tears start to pour from your eyes, landing against your cheeks as they float off into the unsteady waters.
Your sisters drop their hands, eyes wide at how desperate you’re acting over a human. But he’s not just a human, he’s different. This one is different.
They both watch you take his body against yours as you wrap your arms behind the backs of his arms and start to hoist him to the surface. They stop you before you breach atop the water, grabbing your slippery fin as they stop you from swimming any further.
“You better be careful, sister. You don’t know what danger you’re putting us in. Interacting with a man? You’re foolish, selfish. How do you think father will handle this?” Cleo asks with narrowed eyes that could kill a man with how sharp she’s staring.
“Don’t you dare tell him, Cleo. Just… let me go. Please,” you beg as you try to squirm out of her hold. “He’s going to die if you don’t!” you scream, eyes wide as his head slumps against your shoulder weightless, almost like he’s already dead. Panic consumes you at the mere thought of it.
“Go on, then,” she says with a snarky look. “I won’t tell him… yet. But be warned. If he does anything to sway my judgement and I mean anything, I’ll have no choice but to tell him,” she warns as Marissa spits in your direction.
Cleo finally releases your fin as you swim frantically up, up, up until you break the seal and breathe fresh air again. Joel doesn’t stir, doesn’t even seem to be breathing as his head still rests lazily against the crook of your neck.
You look around desperately for anything you can lay him on, needing to stir him awake somehow. You need to get him someplace dry.
“Joel, just hold on. You’ll be alright. Please, just hang on,” you cry out as you circle around frantically looking for anything you can use.
That’s when you see it, a large flat rock that lays above the water in the middle of the sea cave you always find yourself in. You push yourself forward in the water, making sure to keep his head above the stirring waves. You turn on your back and hold his body above yours as you propel your strong tail in the water, trying with all your might to get there faster.
He’s going to die and it’s all your fault. Why were you being so reckless? The words taunt your mind like your sisters’ glaring warnings. You can’t think about them now, the only thing you care about is getting Joel to wake up. He needs to breathe, he needs to wake up.
You drag his body up on the smooth rock and lay him flat on his back. He has no sign of breathing anywhere, his chest is still as dawn like the sun slowly rising in the horizon.
You try to shake his shoulders, try to rub at his sternum forcefully as if that’ll wake him up. Nothing happens. You try again, calling his name and shaking him, screaming for him to wake up. But again there’s no movement, no breath coming from his mouth.
You crash down on top of him and wrap your arms around his neck, letting a tear drop from your melancholy eyes as it falls against his still chest. You whimper out a pathetic sound that sounds like you’re choking on your own words. “Come back to me, Joel. Come back,” you plead, face still pressed against his hollow chest as you let another tear fall in his presence.
You feel cold, hard pressed, wounded as if someone just took a sharp stake to your chest. You shouldn’t feel like this, shouldn’t let yourself feel so much for a human who you barely know. But he was going to show you his world, was going to teach you everything you wanted to know, and you were going to show him your world. But that’s no more. He’s gone. He’s gone.
You let the falling tears dry up on his cotton white shirt where the buttons lay half opened to expose tanned skin, can feel just how broad and strong he is underneath your weight. And you wish he’d wake up, wish he’d open his soft brown eyes so you could sink into them, sing him a melody while he grazed his fingers gently against your face. You want it so bad, want him so bad. But it could never be now. Not anymore.
You let your hand fall to his chest and wrap your fingers around his damp white shirt. You start to hum out your favorite lullaby, a way to soothe you over against the hurt you feel in your chest now as it aches and twists like a knife in your gut. Singing has always been a way to make you feel braver, a way to drown out the sorrows of dark days. Your mother always said you had the most beautiful voice she’d ever heard, but she was also gone now. Gone on that awful, dark day where blood filled the waters of your home. Gone.
You push the thoughts away, continue singing your song as if this will make the situation better. You close your eyes and drown out the lapping waves with your voice, making sure it echoes off every corner in the open cave.
Just as you’re about to push yourself off him, you feel movement underneath you. Just a faint lurch beneath you until he’s turning on his side and coughing up water out of his lungs rapidly, spilling it all over the glossy rock as he tries to catch his breath from all the choking and coughing his body expels.
“Joel?!” you ask alarmed, your hand shooting up to his face as you caress the soft, patchy scruff against his jawline carefully.
He lays on his back again and slowly opens his eyes, placing his hand over yours as he calls your name softly, his words still laced with salt water that still burns the back of his throat, but he answers anyway. And your name out of his mouth sounds like the sweetest thing you’ve ever heard.
“You’re alive?” you ask quietly, eyes wide as you stare down at him with your mouth parted open slightly.
“Thanks to you, I am,” he says with a nod up at you, his hand still lingering on top of yours as his calloused fingers send sparks down your arm. It’s electric, shocking as it blinds you with need.
You gulp but don’t say anything else, too afraid to ruin the moment. “Your voice,” he says nodding to you again, “I’ve never heard a voice quite as beautiful as yours. I thought I was in heaven for a second there, thought you were an angel.”
Beautiful? An angel? Oh.
“An angel? Not quite,” you giggle, dropping your hand from his face to rest on his broad chest.
He lifts his arm up slowly and hooks a piece of damp hair behind your ear, trailing his calloused fingers along your cheek as he stares at you with wide brown eyes. Eyes that make your insides turn to putty.
“You are an angel,” he nods, his lips curling up into a soft smile that could knock you back into the water.
He thinks you’re an angel…
“Oh,” is all you can say.
He looks at you like no one else has, looks at you like you’re the only girl in the world. He sees you for what you are, a siren, and yet he doesn’t run. He doesn’t run. He stays.
His lips look so soft, so plush that you think you’d like to feel them pressed up against yours. His eyes flick back and forth between your wanting eyes and your parted mouth, and you think he wants the same thing.
You start to drift toward him, closer and closer until you’re almost there, almost touching his lips. He reaches to cup the back of your head, steering you down, down until you’re barely a breath away from him.
Suddenly there’s a large splash in the water, and you jump apart from him as he sits up on his elbows and gazes out into the dark blue rippling water. He sees a large fin and goes ghost white as he takes in the long body of the great white shark that lurks around the area. His eyes go wide as he sinks against the cave wall behind him as if to hide from the creature of the deep.
“It’s alright,” you say calmly as you reach your arm under the shadow of the water and call the shark over to you. Joel’s chest rises and falls unsteadily as his eyes remain locked on the terrifying features of Scar.
“Your hand, get your hand out of the water,” Joel urges as he tries to pull you back, but you wave him off.
“Joel, it’s alright. He’s my friend.”
Scar circles back around and brushes his body up against your hand as you pet his back and let him disappear back under the water.
“You’re friends with a shark?” he asks surprised, eyes still peeled on the shadow that looms around the area.
“Mhm. I saved his life many years ago, and he’s never left my side since then. Kinda ironic how people misinterpret them. Sharks may look scary to the human eye, but they’re really peaceful creatures. If you just took a few minutes to really see them, you’d see they’re just trying to live peacefully in their home. They just want to survive like any of us do.”
Joel looks at you as if really hearing you for the first time. The way you talk about the ocean, about the creatures of the deep makes him feel things he’s never even thought of before. He thinks you’re beautiful, breathtaking, and so kind. So very kind…
“You’re really something out of a fairytale, aren’t you?” he asks with wonder in his voice, his brown eyes sinking into yours as he focuses on the warm smile you give him as you blush crimson.
“I guess you could say that, sailor?” you giggle out. “That’s what you are, right?”
“Yes,” he nods as he looks over at his boat that sits idle over the calm tides.
“Is that your boat?” you ask as your eyes wander over to the large vessel that sits in the water under sparkling stars. You flick your eyes over the sides, noticing the large blue flags that fly gently in the cool breeze and notice the words Deep Blue Oasis written in cursive letters that hang down the side.
“Yep, that’s my beauty. Been sailin’ on her for a few years now. Probably one of my favorite things ever. To be able to sail across the waters and explore areas I’ve never been to before. It’s all very… exciting.”
You watch the way his eyes light up the way he talks about the sea, watch the way his smile curls over his lips as he talks about his love for sailing. You think it’s hypnotizing, beautiful. You think he is beautiful.
“What are you doing around this part? Looking for something?” you ask as your eyebrows rise up, intrigued why he was staying around these parts.
“There was a ship that went down many years ago here. There’s all sorts of tales and rumors that some great treasure was lost here with the ship. And I want to find it,” he states excitedly.
A shipwreck many years ago? You think you know which one he’s talking about, like maybe it was that same night that all the bloodshed went down. The night you lost your mother to those bloodsucking humans…
He notices your eyes shift from lit up to cold irises, feels the dread that seems to take over your body for the moment. But then he’s cupping your chin and lifting your eyes up to his warm brown eyes, and you feel like you’ve made it safely back home.
“You alright, darlin’? You went away for a minute there,” he asks as his concerned eyes gaze into yours. You nod your head and let him continue to keep his hand on your skin. You’ll let him keep it there for as long as he wants.
You smile up at him and nod in response. “I’m okay, was just thinking about something,” you say with a daze to your tone, somber eyes coming back down to earth.
“Was there something specific you were looking for?” you ask as his fingers continue to trace down your skin. It feels like complete magic that holds you under a spell.
“Not really. You see, I kinda have a fascination with history. You should see my study. I have hundreds of books and ancient artifacts that I’ve found in the sea. You’d love it,” he says with a crooked smile splayed against his face. It makes a dimple form deep in his cheek, and it nearly takes your breath away.
His study sounds a lot like the secret cave you have deep underwater that’s full of human treasures that you’d collected over the years from lost ships and things thrown overboard from wasteful humans. It’s a little sanctuary for you, a place you can go to clear your mind and wonder just what it’d be like to walk on land. What it’d be like to have your own pair of legs. But you love the sea so much, you don’t think you’d ever want to leave. But for him, you might just follow him anywhere.
You sigh as you lean into his touch, wishing you could see just what he’s talking about. “I wish I could see it,” you say quietly, eyes trailing back to his doe eyes as he speaks again.
“Maybe someday you will.” And it sounds like a promise, like he will show you one day. But how? You have a tail, you can’t walk. Your home is in the ocean, not on land. But if you could find a way to do both then you would. There had to be a way.
“Maybe,” you say dreamlike as you dream of warm sand on your feet, walking hand in hand with him on the beach. A distant wish you so wanted to be true. But it wasn’t, and you had to deal with that.
You stay there another moment letting his calloused fingers run along your jawline as you watch his eyes settle in on your face. Before you get lost for too long, you pull out of his reach and sink back into the cool water.
“I guess I should get you back to your boat,” you say sadly, eyes averting from his as to not dwell on the beautiful flecks of mixed browns that you want to get lost in again and again until you can’t see anything but them anymore.
“Yeah, guess so,” he says quietly, a voice that screams for you to stay, but you can’t. He doesn’t belong here.
“Wait here,” you say before you take off to retrieve his small wooden boat that’ll take him safely back to dry ground.
As you wade through the water you get a sick sense that this can only end badly, but it was too late. You were already in too deep, and you already wanted to see him again. This was bad, so bad.
You turn over the toppled boat and throw the rows back inside, pulling it along as you drag it back to him safely. You place it against the rock he sits on and watch him climb in, situating himself as he takes the rows in his hands. Before he heads back to his large boat, he stops and stares at you.
“Can I see you again?” he asks quietly as the cool breeze blows a tousled curl against his forehead. Without thinking you reach up and push it back into place, feeling just how soft his hair really feels. He lets you, and it feels as soft as velvety moss.
You drop your hand back down and before you can, he grabs your wrist and stares deeply into your eyes, eliciting a gasp out of your mouth as his fingers dig into your soft flesh. You let him keep you there until you give him a clear answer.
You think of your options, think of what you might be risking if you see him again. Would your sisters try to drown him again, would he try to steal you away from the sea, would your father find out that you were meddling in human affairs? All of the questions were valid and unknown, but you couldn’t bring yourself to say no. You wanted to see him again, needed to.
“Yes. Tomorrow night,” you say without any hesitation.
He nods his head and smiles down at you as he gently lets his fingers fall from your skin as your hand splashes back down underneath the water.
“Tomorrow it is then. See you later, Sirena.” The nickname falls off his tongue like a sweet melody that fills your ears. Sirena, enchantress, siren.
You watch him row back to his boat, watching the way his biceps bulge every time he pulls back on the rows. He looks a little like your own Prince Charming. A sailor that had captured your heart, and you weren’t willing to take it back. It was his now, as long as he wanted it.
He looks back at you before climbing up the steep ladder. He smiles gently your way and nods before turning back to the ladder and climbing up, disappearing from your view as he makes his way below the deck.
You sigh and rest your elbow against the glossy rock he was just sitting on minutes ago, daydreaming about those dreamy brown eyes and his smile that knocks the breath out of your chest.
Scar circles back around and comes up beside you, nudging you with his large snout as you gently pet the top of his head. “I know, Scar. I know. I’m in so much trouble.”
You sink back underneath the water and follow him back home, back to the kingdom of Capri where you belong. But you keep your mind locked on those sweet, syrupy eyes that you so desperately want to see again.
Joel was going to be your undoing.

You and Optimus are patrolling Jasper's neighborhood. Something's going wrong
Pairing: yandere Optimus Prime x reader
The unscheduled patrol was going smoothly. The rare oncoming cars flew past quickly, disappearing far behind.
You sat relaxed, lazily watching the steering wheel and the quiet red light of the Autobot's Insignia. An unfamiliar song in an unknown language was pulling something simple and positive.
You barely looked at the road at all. You'd weaned yourself off looking ahead on trips with Prime. Why? Optimus was doing it.
“So, remind me, what's the point of ground patrols? No, seriously. We have scanners.”
“Scanners are for long distances. Jasper's neighborhoods are more profitable to patrol by hand. The Decepticons know our base is in the vicinity of this city.”
“Yes, yes. And by showing up here in person, we confirm it easily and simply. Genius,” you clapped your hands weakly, and then yawned contentedly, ”what about... Optimus!”
You never thought you could scream so loud and over the top. It all happened so fast that you could hardly analyze half of what happened: here you and Optimus were, calmly driving, pulling into a hillside. At the same moment, a car flies right into your face, and....
Prime brakes sharply, on the edge of his tires and brakes. The seat belts tightened around you and pressed you to the seat, preventing you from flying into the windshield.
Prime felt no pain: only a couple of warnings dropped into the processor about the crumpled pavement and a couple of torn tubes.
“What the...?” you shook your head, unbuckling yourself. “Jesus, don't tell me some... Human is underneath us right now.”
Optimus was silent. He analyzed his condition and the video from the external cameras. What he was seeing, he didn't like.
You, on the other hand, without waiting for a response, opened into the door, jumping down onto the pavement. Examined what appeared to be the body of the Optimus... and what was left of the stranger's car.
The car was destroyed. It had crumpled like a tin can and hollowed out under Optimus, disappearing. But that, of course, was not the worst part. A mangled body was visible in the pile of crumpled metal.
You overpowered yourself, stepping closer. The unknown man was wedged among the metal, plastic, and chairs. His head leaned back unnaturally, blood trickled from his mouth. Just below...
You took a dispassionate look at the released intestines. The impact was so strong that it cut the driver of the car in half. The speedometer stopped at one hundred and twenty-seven kilometers per hour.
Reaching for your phone, you glanced around the road. No one. There'd been an accident and you could use someone else's help ...
“Hello, 911?”
“Yes, I'm listening.”
“This is Y/N. There has been a car accident at mile marker thirty near Jasper, Nevada. I was driving my truck when someone... Slammed into me.”
“You weren't hurt?”
“No, but the driver of the other car was.”
“Can you give him first aid?” the operator sounded impassive.
“I'm afraid I'm not Jesus,” you couldn't hold back a nervous grin, ”he's dead. He's been hollowed out.”
“Is there anyone else in the car?”
“Can't see from here. But even if there is, he's dead too. I don't hear any moans.”
“Ok. The police will be here in a minute. Medics, too. Is there a fire?”
“No, no fire.”
“Stay away from the car. Gasoline could leak.”
The operator wasn't lying. Not a minute later, loud sirens cut through the silence of the desert.
You tapped gently on the door of Optimus' altform.
“Brace yourself... Are you okay in there?”
But Prime didn't answer you anything.
***
“You look sad,” you remarked, having previously spent a long time watching Optimus work in complete silence, ”did something happen? Is it… Because of the crash?”
“Yes,” the short answer came with a hitch, ”it's because of the crash.”
“Are you in pain? Did the impact hurt...?”
“That's not the point,” Prime set the datapads aside, turning to you fully.
“Just... Don't tell me your conscience is bothering you,” you folded your arms across your chest, ”seriously? Optimus, that's stupid.”
“I'm responsible for a man's death. My... Braking systems are far better than Earth's. I could have done it, but I was too distracted,” Optimus focused his optics on your face. Your gaze was a little reassuring.
“Optimus, listen,” you shook your head, ”forensics showed the driver was drunk. Now imagine if he hadn't flown into us, but into... June. Or Jack. Or hit Rafe and Miko in the crosswalk. You know what they say on Earth about people like that? Good thing I left and didn't take anyone with me.”
Optimus didn't look convinced. On Cybertron, there was nothing wrong with transforming while supercharged. Even if there were collisions on the tracks, the only thing that suffered was the hull, which could be easily replaced.
“You don't think I've been hit by cars?” a chill ran down your back. Memories of a long ago accident didn't make it any better. “You've been hit. Same drunken scum. He didn't care, the car didn't care, but I got hurt bad. All because of an idiot who doesn't know the simple rule: If you've been drinking, don't drive.”
Combat protocols for the pathetic flick took over, Optimus was already preparing to seek out the one who dared to hurt you once... But he immediately controlled himself, coming back to reality.
“Thank you for your help, my Spark. Your concern heals me.”
“You're welcome, Optimus. Be more careful next time. Don't get distracted by me.”

I love your answer to the question I asked. My answer would have been Whitney Houston. She is either a siren or banshee. I would have paired her with Garrett or Charlie cannot decide who.

✭ twilight masterlist 2
The moon hung low in the midnight sky, casting a silvery glow over the quiet forest. (Y/N), a striking young woman with long, flowing black hair that cascaded down to her hips, stood alone among the trees. At 5 feet 11 inches, she possessed an aura of strength and mystery that drew the eye. But it was her unique gift that truly set her apart—the nine-tailed wolf, as white as freshly fallen snow, that loyally accompanied her.
She had been living a solitary life for as long as she could remember, ever since her powers had manifested. Her childhood had been a blur of confusion and fear, as she tried to comprehend the extraordinary abilities coursing through her veins. The snowy wolf, her constant companion, was her only solace in those early days of isolation.
Throughout history, she had been known as the "snowbound savior." Legends and tales had spoken of a white wolf with nine tails that appeared when one was in dire need of help. Villagers would tell stories around campfires, passing down the folklore of this mystical guardian who emerged from the depths of the forest to aid those in their darkest hours.
But (Y/N) knew the truth. She wasn't just a legend; she was real, and she carried the weight of her unique destiny on her shoulders. Her existence was a secret known only to a select few, those who had witnessed her powers firsthand or had heard whispers of the mysterious white wolf.
Tonight, beneath the silver canopy of stars, (Y/N) felt a strange restlessness in her spirit. It was as though the air itself carried an unspoken message—a call for help that only she could answer. The bond between her and the nine-tailed wolf seemed to hum with anticipation.
With a determined look in her eyes, (Y/N) turned and headed deeper into the forest, her faithful companion padding silently at her side. She didn't know where the call for help originated, but she trusted her instincts. The "snowbound savior" was on the move once again, ready to face whatever darkness lurked in the shadows and to offer her unique gifts to those in need.
The dense forest welcomed (Y/N) as she ventured deeper into its heart. Here, she felt at one with the world around her, a connection that ran deeper than blood. She wasn't just a woman with extraordinary abilities; she was a guardian of nature itself.
As she moved through the ancient trees, (Y/N) could hear the soft murmurs of leaves, the whispers of the wind, and the gentle rustling of creatures hidden in the underbrush. Nature spoke to her in a language few could comprehend, and in return, she listened and responded with reverence.
Today, however, the whispers were tinged with urgency. The very earth beneath her feet seemed to vibrate with concern. (Y/N) paused, her senses on high alert, and closed her eyes to better attune herself to the natural world.
"What troubles you, dear friend?" she murmured softly, her voice a melodious harmony with the forest's song.
In response, the wind carried a somber message, leaves rustled in distress, and the faint echo of a distant waterfall sounded mournful. Nature was trying to communicate something of great significance.
The revelation came like a thunderclap in her mind—a coven of vampires was in danger, and their fate was intricately entwined with the lives of the humans in the town they resided in, as well as a nearby clan of wolf-shifters. The balance of their existence hung in the balance, and the very fabric of the supernatural world trembled with uncertainty.
(Y/N) felt a surge of conflicting emotions. She had distanced herself from the supernatural world, seeking solitude and anonymity after years of bearing the mantle of the "snowbound savior." Her past involvements had left scars both physical and emotional, and she yearned for a simpler existence.
Yet, as she stood among the ancient trees, a profound sense of responsibility washed over her. She had a duty to protect not just the coven of vampires but also the humans and wolf-shifters who unknowingly depended on their presence.
With a heavy heart, (Y/N) raised her eyes to the heavens, her voice resonating with unwavering determination. "Nature, you have my word. I will do all that I can to help. For the sake of balance, for the sake of those in need, I will step once more into the world of the supernatural."
The forest around her seemed to sigh in relief, a symphony of gratitude and understanding. The bond between (Y/N) and nature deepened, and she knew that her path was now clear. The snowbound savior had been called to action once more, and she would honor her commitment to protect and preserve the fragile balance of the supernatural world.
The clearing deep within the forest was a training ground for the local wolf-pack, and tensions were running high as the group practiced their coordinated maneuvers. Alice, the perceptive and clairvoyant member of the Cullen family, watched their movements closely, her golden eyes scanning the scene with an intensity that never wavered.
Amidst the flurry of leaping and lunging wolves, Alice suddenly froze, her gaze distant as if seeing something beyond the immediate present. Her eyes glazed over, and her hand moved with precision as she sketched something onto a piece of paper with a swift hand.
Jasper, who had been sparring with some of the wolves, noticed Alice's sudden stillness and approached her with a concerned expression. "Alice, what is it? What did you see?"
Alice didn't respond immediately, her focus locked onto the sketch she was creating. It was an image of a white wolf with nine tails, each one flowing gracefully behind it. The creature's ethereal beauty was captured in intricate detail.
Edward, always attuned to Alice's visions, joined them, his brows furrowing in curiosity. "Alice, what's going on? What did you see?"
Alice looked up from her sketch, her eyes wide with a mixture of wonder and uncertainty. "I saw something, someone, I'm not entirely sure," she admitted. "But they're coming to aid us."
Edward's expression shifted from concern to relief. "Good. We can use all the help we can get."
Paul, who had been listening in, couldn't hide his skepticism. "More vampires?" he grumbled.
Alice shook her head, her eyes fixed on her drawing. "Actually, it looks to be a shifter like you all."
Confusion rippled through the group until Alice displayed her sketch for them to see. The wolves gathered around, their eyes widening in disbelief.
Sam, the pack's alpha, gasped as he recognized the image. "The snowbound savior," he breathed, his voice filled with astonishment. "But she's just a legend."
Before anyone could respond, a powerful howl pierced the air, resonating through the forest. It was a howl that carried an undeniable presence, one that demanded attention and respect.
Jasper turned his head toward the sound, his eyes narrowing as he listened. "Guess not," he murmured, his voice tinged with intrigue and a touch of apprehension.
As the echoes of the howl faded into the distance, the wolves and the Cullens exchanged uncertain glances. The arrival of the snowbound savior, a figure of myth and legend, had suddenly become a tangible reality. The balance of power in the supernatural world was about to shift, and none of them knew exactly what to expect.
The ground beneath their feet trembled violently, and at first, the Cullens, along with Sam's pack, believed it to be a catastrophic earthquake. Trees swayed, and the very earth seemed to roar with anger. But what followed was beyond anything they could have imagined.
From out of nowhere, a colossal figure emerged, towering over the treetops, and causing everyone to gasp in astonishment. An 836-foot white wolf, with nine magnificent tails that swirled like a majestic blizzard, stood before them. The sheer size and beauty of the creature left them breathless, their hearts pounding with a mixture of awe and trepidation.
For a moment, the forest fell into a hushed stillness, as if nature itself held its breath in the presence of this enigmatic being. Then, as if guided by an unseen force, the colossal wolf began to shift, its form flowing like liquid moonlight.
In mere seconds, the towering wolf transformed into a striking woman, fully clothed and with long black hair that cascaded down to her hips. Her piercing eyes, as ancient as the earth itself, regarded the assembly with a mixture of wisdom and curiosity.
"I suppose you must all be the ones of whom nature speaks," she remarked, her voice carrying a melodious quality that resonated with power.
Carlisle, always the composed and gracious host, stepped forward. "I beg your pardon, but who are you?"
The woman offered a warm smile, one that seemed to hold the secrets of the universe. "I am (Y/N)," she introduced herself. "Nature has warned me of impending danger to this town and the nearby clan of wolf-shifters. It seems our paths were destined to intersect."
Edward, ever the communicator of the family, stepped forward to explain their situation. "A vampire named Victoria is planning an attack with a newborn army. They seek revenge because we killed her mate some time ago."
(Y/N) nodded with understanding, her gaze distant for a moment. "I sympathize with her loss, but I will not allow her to bring death into this town."
As the conversation unfolded, Jasper, who had been watching (Y/N) intently, felt a sensation he hadn't experienced in centuries. It was the undeniable pull of the mate bond, a force that tied him to this extraordinary woman. His gaze remained locked on her, and his heart raced with a newfound intensity. In that moment, he knew that (Y/N) was not only the snowbound savior but also the missing piece of his own existence.

Henry Danger Reader Insert | Captain Man x Reader: SEASON 1
Episode 13: Spoiler Alert
~Henry's house~
Henry, Jasper and Charlotte had all gathered at Henry's house to watch their favourite show. They stared intensely at the TV screen as sirens and shouts blared out from the speakers. A gunshot fired, making them all jump back in fright. A scene where a car crashed and a machine gun fired made them wince for the characters that were onscreen. However, they all giggled when a guy was killed.
"AHHH!" A man growled on the monitor suddenly, giving them all a huge scare. Jasper jumped on Charlotte as they all screamed.
"Get off." She deadpanned, not thinking that it was that scary. Jasper decided that Henry would be a better person to hold onto as the zombies groaned on the TV.
"Piper, please keep it down in there!" Henry managed to say on Jasper's head whenPiper began rattling around in the kitchen.
"Don't tell me how to live my life." She sassed him, so Henry shrugged Jasper off and continued to watch the TV show.
"That show is intense." Henry looked at the other two teens, his adrenaline still high. He had switched off the programme once it had finished.
"My heart's all cramped up," Charlotte said, massaging the part of her chest over the organ.
"I'm sweating...more than usual," Jasper told them as he rubbed his fingers together.
"Use your rag." Henry reminded him.
"Oh yeah, my rag." The curly-haired boy pulled a cloth from his pocket and began to wipe his hands dry.
"Seriously, you guys, that was, like, the best episode ever," Henry told them, and they both agreed. After all, who doesn't like an adrenaline-inducing, zombie-filled thriller?
"Oh yeah."
"Totally. But I'm so sad." Jasper said as he tucked his rag back into his pocket.
"Why?" Charlotte asked him.
"Only one more episode left of Walking Orange. And...I don't want it to end." The boy answered emotionally.
"Are you crying?" The girl next to him asked, not believing that he was crying over a TV show.
"No, my eyes are just sweating." Jasper quickly lied, walking away from the couch so they wouldn't see him cry.
"Rag." Henry reminded him again.
"Oh yeah, my rag." He took the material out and used it to dry his eyes.
"Hey, I read online that next week's episode is going to--" Charlotte began to say, but the boys shouted over her, not wanting to hear any spoilers. They each picked a cushion and pushed her into the couch to shut her up.
Please, don't tell us anything about the series finale."
"Don't spoil it!"They pleaded and released her from the soft prison.
"I was just gonna say that after the series finale, they're gonna rerun the first episode." Charlotte held her hands up to shield herself from the cushions.
"Ohhhh..." The boys said together.
"So you can put the pillows down." Charlotte hissed at them and made them drop the pillows to the floor.
"Hey! I need one of you to be my cameraman." Piper shouted at them from the kitchen bar, so the teens walked to the kitchen to see what she was up to.
"What kind of video are you making?" Charlotte asked the little girl as she analysed all the junk she had on the island.
"The kind that gets me into the Man Fans," Piper replied excitedly. She had been wanting to get into the number one fan club of Captain Man for ages, and now she had her chance.
"The Man Fans?" Henry asked her. It seemed that despite his status as Captain Man's sidekick, he had never heard of the club.
"It's a club. A bunch of fans of Captain Man." Jasper told him.
"And Kid Danger," Charlotte added, inflating Henry's ego.
"It's really hard to get in. I tried to join and they wouldn't even take me." Jasper said, making Charlotte raise her eyebrows.
"Hey, everyone who's surprised by that, raise your hand. Ooo, look, no one." Piper retorted sarcastically.
"Just be careful." The dark-haired teen walked over to the little girl as she set up her video.
"Why?" Piper asked, not seeing what could go wrong.
"Because that girl who's president of the Man Fans, uh, Paula Macchiato, she's mean," Charlotte warned her, having heard of the things the child president had done.
"Well, she said I could join the Man Fans if I pass my initiation," Piper explained.
"Which is?" Henry asked as he and Jasper munched on grapes.
"I gotta make a video of me eating hair soup." Piper moved a bowl of dark, thick sludge into their view, and the look of the slimy hair made them all gag.
"What kind of soup?" Jasper exclaimed, thinking he had heard her wrong.
"Hair! I got this big bag of it fresh from a barbershop floor." Piper lifted a sack of different shades of hair.
"You can't eat soup with a bunch of hair in it," Henry told his sister. As annoying as she was, he didn't want her to get sick from eating hair and messing up her intestines.
"Okay, first, the things you say don't matter. And second, I am going to eat the hair soup so I can join the Man Fans." His sister stood firm. She wasn't going to pass up the chance to join her favourite club.
"Hold my phone." She passed the device to her hesitant brother, who began to record the setup.
"Hi, Paula Macchiato. I want to join the Man Fans so much, I'm going to eat a bowl of...hair soup." Piper said to the camera and lifted up a spoon full of hair. She looked disgusted but put the spoonful in her mouth as Henry, Charlotte and Jasper started to wretch.
Piper gave a thumbs up to them as she struggled to swallow the hair, her expression miserable.
"Can I have some?" Jasper asked, curious to see what it tasted like, which made Henry and Charlotte looked at him in bewilderment.
~The Man Cave~
Schwoz was setting up the TV for viewing, as Ray, (y/n), Henry and Charlotte grabbed loads of snacks from the auto-snacker. It was finally time for the series finale of Walking Orange and they were so ready to see how the show ended.
"Yeah, baby! Series finale of "Walking Orange." Henry exclaimed in excitement as they brought the food to the couch.
"I can't believe we're about to watch the last episode ever." Ray shared his eagerness as they all climbed over the back and settled down. Henry passed the sodas out as (y/n) put a large pizza in her lap. Ray sat down on the floor between her legs after taking a slice and she rested her arms around his neck. The TV began to play some random Awards show and they all began to panic as they realised they were on the wrong channel.
(y/n) put the pizza behind her as Schwoz scrambled to find the remote.
"I put it on the wrong channel." Schwoz cried as he jammed the station button with his thumb.
"There, there, I fix it, I FIX IT!" He yelled at the shouting group and sat back down once the show came on, just in time for them to watch it.
"Previously, on Walking Orange..." The man on the TV recounted the story. They all squirmed in excitement at the prospect of seeing what was going to happen.
"I'm so excited!" (y/n) squealed in Ray's ear.
"I know!" He said, just as all their phones dinged from receiving messages. They all pulled their cells out and checked the message, but what they read freaked them out.
"Ohhhh, nooooo" Henry screamed at his phone and they all got up from their seats in anger and frustration. Ray beat a pillow against the ground, as Henry and Charlotte threw the skeezits and pizza in their hands. (y/n) ripped her popcorn box in half, the contents spilling over her lap, but she didn't care. Schwoz watched them all in confusion as they threw their tantrums.
"Just turn it off," Ray said in a strained voice. Schwoz switched off the TV in confusion.
"What happened? Why do we not watch Walking Orange? Why you heave your pizza and your poopcorn?" He asked the all, as (y/n) hugged herself into Ray's back in sadness. The evening had been ruined.
"Because The Spoiler ruined Walking Orange," Henry told him in anger.
"Stupid The Spoiler," Charlotte said in a sulk.
"Who is The Spoiler?" Schwoz wanted to know.
"He's this jerky teenager here in Swellview. He finds out what's gonna happen on TV shows and movies..." Ray stood up swiftly, his hair messed up from beating the pillow around.
"And then he tells people the ending." (y/n) ended for him, lying back on the couch and speaking in a whiny voice.
"He ruins it for everyone." Charlotte pitched in.
"Not for me. I am smart. I turn my phone off." Schwoz bragged to them, annoying his friends.
"Well, yip-dee-doo for you, Schwoz." Henry shouted at him in annoyance, and the alarm started to sound. Letting out a groan, (y/n) and Charlotte walked to the computer and opened the camera link.
"Wat, Gooch?" Ray asked the man up in Junk-N-Stuff.
"Do you know what The Spoiler did?" The Indian man asked them, and Schwoz covered his ears against the spoilers.
"Yeah, he texted all three of us," Henry replied.
"No, he texted everyone in Swellview and told them the ending of Walking Orange," Gooch revealed, as Schwoz pressed his hands even harder against his ears.
"No, don't tell me!" The little genius cried.
"He said that Rodriguez killed Mallory," Gooch told the story, torturing Schwoz.
"Tell him, let him suffer like us!" (y/n) smirked in her seat at the computer.
"And that he's really a cop!" The storekeeper spilt the biggest secret and Schwoz fell to the floor dramatically, feeling the same anger that the others had felt.
"Thanks for the info, Gooch," Ray said and closed the link.
"Okay, how'd The Spoiler figure out how to send a message to everyone in Swellview?" Charlotte asked as she picked up the little man on the floor.
"Oh, I don't know." Ray sighed.
"How smart does someone have to be to pull something off like this, Schwoz?" (y/n) spun around to look at the two.
"Anyone with level five computer knowledge could figure out how to do it." He explained.
Well, somebody's got to stop The Spoiler." Charlotte said, and the young woman nodded and stood up to Ray.
"Good thing we know a certain superhero and his sidekick." She hinted.
"Right, that person is us." He said huskily.
"You mean...those people...are us. You used bad grammar." Henry corrected him, but it didn't sound as cool. Feeling miffed, Ray shot a quick laser at his shoulder.
"Okay, do I have to confiscate that?" (y/n) looked up at him with a frown and a stern voice, similar to a teacher's.
"No, mom." Ray groaned.
"Don't call me that, you're so much older than me." She teased him, wanting to ruffle his feathers.
"Hey!"
~The next day~
(y/n) was sat with Ray and Henry as the two males played cards and ate chips. She wasn't particularly interested in the game, she was just there to eat their food and scroll through her phone.
However, to Henry and Ray, this wasn't a game, this was a battle to see who could come out on top. They stared each other down as they crunched on the chips in their mouths.
"Only one chip left," Henry mentioned, eyeing the lone snack at the bottom of the bowl.
"Race you for it," Ray said, determined to get that damn chip.
"Okay, I'll try," Henry said, putting his hands down. (y/n) looked up from her phone and saw that they were taking it way too seriously.
"Hands on the table, On three," Ray said, and Henry tapped his fingers in preparation.
"One--" Ray started to count, but (y/n) reached across the table and ate the chip for herself, smirking in her victory over them.
"Come on!" Henry yelled."
"You. Little. Chip-snatcher." Ray spoke slowly at her, but she didn't care.
"Sorry, the testosterone levels between you two were pissing me off." She said as an incoming alert sounded. The three of them scrambled to the supercomputer. The woman slammed her hand against the panel to open up the Gooch camera.
"Hey, Gooch, what's up?" Ray asked as he stood next to her.
"Spoiler alert," Gooch said, and Henry put his hands on his ears.
"Wait! Don't say anything about The Good Wife, I'm not caught up yet!" He pleaded with the shopkeeper.
"Er, I think he means The Spoiler." (y/n) said, but the boy couldn't hear her, so Ray forced Henry's hands off his head, and pointed to the screen.
"What do you know about The Spoiler?" Ray asked.
"We received a tip that's he's planning to show up at the Swellview Monoplex tomorrow at midnight," Gooch explained.
"Hmm, I wonder why," Ray muttered himself, as they all thought about what The Spoiler would be interested in ruining.
"Tomorrow night is the worldwide premiere of Galaxy Wars 9," Henry remembered that the geeky movie was one of the biggest releases of the year.
"Oh god, yeah. I'm taking Charlotte, I'm so excited and that damn Spoiler guy better not ruin it." (y/n) told them.
"Oh my god. Thanks, Gooch." Ray breathed out and ended the call. He stood up and walked to the middle of the Man Cave.
"The Spoiler must have had inside information about what happens in the movie." The superhero theorised.
"He's going to ruin it for everyone." Henry agreed, knowing they had to stop him.
"Not if you two stop him." (y/n) encouraged them.
"Yeah, you and me." Ray nodded at his sidekick.
"You and I." Henry corrected him, annoying Ray.
"That's what I said." The large man said back.
"You said "you and me"." The teen liked to be correct with his grammar, but it really wasn't the time for an English lesson.
"Okay, who cares?" (y/n) butted in, being the referee for them as usual.
"Okay, we have grammar rules for a reason." Henry protested at her.
"Okay, guess what?" Ray said reaching into his jean pocket.
"What?" Henry asked, as Ray pulled out his laser remote and fired at his chest, the child inside him coming out to play.
"Yeah, there you go." He said with a proud smirk on his face, as (y/n) growled at the males in frustration.
"Raymond!" She barked, reaching for the remote, but Henry joined in too.
"You know, I got one, too." He said and used his whiz watch to fire a green laser at the man. They started to engage in a laser fight, (y/n) stepping back to avoid getting hit.
"AH! Not the face!" Henry yelled as Ray got him in the eye, so he began to rapidly fire his laser back at his boss.
"AHHH! Not the butt!" Ray ran around the Man Cave to avoid getting hit. (y/n) was crouching next to the couch, and stood between them when the fight began to get serious.
"OKAY! THAT'S ENOU---OW!" Her loud voice was interrupted as one of the lasers hit her, but she couldn't tell who fired it. The pair of superheroes ceased their fire as she rubbed her arm and glared at them.
"Oops." Henry laughed nervously.
"Sorry, (y/n/n)." Ray tried to give her a hug, but she just snatched the remote from his hands.
"I accept your apology." She smiled at him sweetly, making them think that she wasn't angry. Oh boy, they were wrong.
"Now, I'm going to kill you both!" She raised Ray's remote and shot lasers at them both, chasing them around the Man Cave.
~The next day, Henry's house~
"But I tried to get a selfie with Captain Man! I had a great plan, but it didn't work." Henry walked into the kitchen and heard his little sister talking to someone on her PearBook. She sounded really upset, and at the mention of his boss, Henry was more than intrigued.
"If you want to join my club, then get a selfie with Captain Man!" A rude, little girl said from the speakers, causing Piper's face to crumple with sadness. Whoever this girl was, Henry did not like her.
"But, I don't know where he is. How do I find him?" Piper asked her in distress.
"Wahh. 'How do I find him?" Wahhh. That's how you sound!" The girl snapped at Piper and mocked her. Henry normally didn't care about what Piper did, but he didn't like it when brats bullied her.
"Sorry, I didn't realise." The youngest Hart apologised, not wanting to upset the president.
"You see this? That's how much time you have to get a selfie with Captain Man, or else you'll never join the Man Fans." The mean girl raged at her and ended the call. Piper slammed her PearBook shut and ran to the sofa to cry. She jumped face down onto the cushions and Henry decided he should talk to her.
"Hey, Pipes. Everything okay?" He asked, acting like he hadn't just heard everything.
"Yes, I'm not upset. Now, shut up." Piper wiped her eyes and tried to appear fine. But Henry could see she was anything but okay.
"Uh, I overheard you talking to that girl from the Man Fans." He told her, switching to his caring big brother mode.
"So?" Piper asked in an uncharacteristically sad and quiet voice.
"Why do you join that club so bad?" Henry questioned, sitting down on the couch arm.
"Well, I just think Kid Danger's really cute," Piper told him, not realising she was saying these things about her brother.
"Ughhh, kill me." Henry gagged at the thought but carried on listening.
"And every week, the Man Fans get together and talk about stuff that Captain Man and Kid Danger are doing, and I just wanna be a part of it. But how am I going to get a stupid selfie with Captain Man?" Piper said rhetorically. She'd never find the superhero in time.
"All right, listen." Henry probably shouldn't have told her this, but he could see how much this meant to his little sister, so he rationalised that a little hint wouldn't hurt. He sat down next to her and leaned in close.
"I read a rumour online that Captain Man might be going to the Galaxy Wars premiere tonight," Henry said as he put his hand on her shoulder.
"Really? Where online?" Piper asked, grabbing her phone to search for the information.
"Oh, uh...they took it down, but I saw it and it said he was going to be there." He lied, but it was enough to get her to stop typing.
"Wait. Where am I gonna get a ticket?" Piper said sadly, knowing that they'd all sold out months ago.
Uh. My boss, (y/n) is taking Charlotte, and she has a spare ticket. I could ask her to take you too." Henry smiled at her, knowing that the woman wouldn't mind taking Piper along too.
"Why are you being nice to me?" Piper asked her brother since he didn't usually help her out. Normally, they were always at each other's throats.
"Because...you're my little sister and I...I don't know, shut up!" Henry said, getting up quickly and walking away from all the mushy, sentimental stuff. He walked to the kitchen and saw Jasper through the kitchen window. He was dangling upside down and waving a sock around.
"Henry, look! I got your sock!" Henry looked at Piper, who just shrugged her shoulders in fake innocence.
~The Man Cave~
Charlotte and (y/n) were waiting for Ray and Henry to get ready for the movie premiere. They were sat checking the criminal records on the computer as they waited. The door next to the computer opened and the two males came out chattering to each other.
"Hey," Henry said through his costume's mask. It was a red, futuristic set of armour that appeared in the movie and at a geeky premiere, he'd fit in.
"You find anything?" Ray asked her, also dressed up. His costume looked more medieval, but it was still in line with the film's lore. Even dressed as a nerd, he looked hot.
"Yeah, we found a great pic---" The girls turned around and burst out laughing at how they looked. It was pretty funny to see them fully geeked out.
"What's funny?" Henry asked Ray, he thought their costumes were good.
"All right," Ray said with a bored tone.
"Seriously? You're gonna make fun of us?" Henry looked at the two girls, who were holding their stomachs from laughing so hard.
"Knock it off. Come on. Enough." Ray said to them, feeling uncomfortable that his crush found him hilarious in the dork costume.
"Ok, ok." The woman and the younger girl breathed in deeply to calm themselves down.
"So, you're a skynaught?" Charlotte asked Henry, having seen every Galaxy Wars movie, she knew every character.
"A red skynaught." Henry lifted his mask so he could speak clearly.
"And I'm Duke Starjacker." Ray said and (y/n) admired how accurate the costume was.
"I can't believe you chose my favourite character. You even got the gold necklace right." She smiled at him and suddenly, the costume didn't seem so bad to him. Charlotte, though, found their lack of knowledge of the film amusing.
"Yeah, yeah. You won't be laughing when we catch The Spoiler." Henry snarked at her.
"Oh, right, about The Spoiler. Here's a new pic of him from a month ago." Charlotte brought up an image on the monitor and showed a cocky-looking teen's mugshot. Ray and (y/n) took a photo of the boy's face so they knew who they were looking for.
"Got it." He said.
"Hey, and you're going to take Piper to the movie tonight?" Henry asked (y/n) as she looked up from her phone.
"Yeah, I got an extra ticket from one of my nerd friends. I'll even buy her popcorn." She smiled at the boy and checked her watch.
"Oh, it's nearly eleven, we should go pick her up, Char." She said to the girl, and they both grabbed their purses.
"Okay. We'll see you at the monoplex." Henry said to them.
"Yep," Charlotte replied and they walked to the elevator.
"Bye!" (y/n) waved as the doors slid shut and Ray turned to look at her from the auto-snacker.
"Stay safe!" He shouted. He ordered some popcorn from the machine and poured it into the satchel on his costume.
"Uh...what you doing with that popcorn?" Henry asked him in confusion.
"Putting it in my adventure sack," Ray told him and closed the bag.
"Y'know they sell popcorn at the movie theatre." His sidekick said to him, wondering why wouldn't just buy it when they got there.
"Yeah, for like a billion dollars," Ray replied, thinking he was a genius.
"Okay, let's go, corn smuggler," Henry said as they walked to the tubes together. Ray tucked his gold cloaked behind his back as the tube came down and Henry brought his mask back down.
"Up the tube." His filtered voice said, and they shot up the tube. Sadly though, the suction caused all of Ray's popcorn to fall out of his sack.
"No, my popcorn!" He cried.
"Ha! Your sack has a hole in it." Henry laughed at him. Looks like he'd have to buy some at the cinema after all.
~Swellview Monoplex~
(y/n) led Charlotte and Piper into the movie theatre and stopped at a food kiosk.
"Hey, Piper, do you want some popcorn?" She smiled at the little girl and pulled her credit card out. Even if she didn't, the young woman definitely wanted some of the sweet, corn snack.
"Yes, please. Can I have a soda too?" Piper asked her in a polite voice. She was too excited to see if Captain Man was here to be her usual rude self.
"Sure. Char, do you want anything?" The woman joined the queue and looked at the teen.
"Just a soda for me please." (y/n) nodded and ordered two large popcorns and three large sodas, quickly paying for them so they could get to the movie room. She spotted Ray and Henry walking through the doors and nudged Charlotte, who also saw them giving their tickets to the man at the entrance.
"Can I go to the bathroom?" Piper tugged her sleeve, not realising that the two other girls wanted to meet up with Henry and Ray.
"Sure, sweetie. Take your popcorn and drink. Do you mind going with her, Charlotte?" The woman jerked her head and winked at the two males to give the dark-haired girl a hint. Luckily, she picked it up.
"Yeah, sure. You go get some seats." Charlotte gave her the chance to get away and walked off to the toilets with Piper. Once they had disappeared into the crowd, (y/n) made her way over to the two disguised superheroes.
"Hey! You made it!" She greeted them and they smiled when they saw her.
"Where are Piper and Charlotte?" Henry asked some concern in his voice for his little sister.
"Bathroom, I told them I'd meet them in there." The woman pointed to the room where the movie was being shown.
"Let's go then," Ray said, guiding her in with a hand in the small of her back.
The viewing room was filled with animated chatter from countless Galaxy Wars fans, some dressed as their favourite characters.
"You see The Spoiler?" Ray asked them both, all three pairs of eyes scanning the rows.
"No, not yet," Henry said, as an overenthusiastic dork came down the steps and spoke to them,
"Red Skynaught. You are the sworn enemy of Mento." The teenager spoke, confusing the two males, but since she'd watched all the movies with Charlotte, (y/n) got his references.
"Sorry. We don't speak nerd." Henry said to the boy.
"He's talking about the war between the warriors of Mento and the Red Skynaughts in the Years of the Ethereal Light." (y/n) explained and the nerdy boy smiled at her knowledge. Her friends, however, just looked at her with confusion.
"Tranya! You have insulted my tribe and the fair maiden in your company! Now taste the Tassel of Tinklon and I shall claim her for my people!" The dork slapped Henry across the face with his 'tassel', as Ray put (y/n)'s hand into his. No nerd was 'claiming' her on his watch. The fake weapon in his hand didn't really hurt Henry, it just really annoyed him.
Henry grabbed the boy's glow bat and broke it over his knee. He handed the two pieces back to the teary-eyed boy.
"Why'd you do that? Mom! A kid just broke my glow bat!" The teenager ran back to his mother on one of the back rows.
"How about those two seats right there?" Ray said to Henry, pointing to the seats.
"Cool." Henry agreed and (y/n) let go of Ray's hand to wait by the doors.
"I need to wait for Charlotte and Piper, you two go ahead." She smiled at them, but Ray didn't want to leave her. Henry shoved him up the stairs.
"Dude, she's a grown woman and we can see her from our seats." He hissed into the older man's ear.
"Ugh!" Ray groaned but carried on walking until Henry spotted the mean girl who had been bullying Piper.
"Hey, hey. See that girl over there?" Henry subtly pointed at the girl in the pink shirt.
"Mm-hmm, the one wearing the me button?" Ray asked when he saw the girl's page with his face on it.
"Yeah. That's the president of our fan club, the Man Fans. She's the one who's being really mean to my sister." The boy explained the backstory to his boss.
"Wow." Ray breathed out.
"What?" Henry looked at him in confusion.
"Her button. That's a fantastic picture of me--" Ray said, his ego showing.
"Oh, let's just sit down." Henry pushed him into their seats.
Charlotte and Piper walked in and met up with the woman who was looking after her.
"Hey, everything okay?" (y/n) smiled at them. Charlotte saw where Ray and Henry were sat and nodded, both at her words and at them.
"Um, where do you wanna sit?" Charlotte asked Piper, wanting to keep the temperamental girl happy, but she just gasped and started to jump in excitement when she saw the girl on the back row.
"What?" (y/n) asked, wondering what had gotten her so excited.
"That's Paula Macchiato." Piper cried, and ran up the stairs to where the girl was sat.
"Hi, Paula." She said happily, thinking that the president of the Man Fans would also be happy to see her. However, Paula lolled her head into the headrest and rolled her eyes.
"'Sup, Paula?" Piper reiterated her greeting when the girl ignored her.
"Until you get a selfie with Captain Man, don't talk to me, don't look at me, and don't even think about sitting with us." She yelled at Piper who looked like she was gonna cry. Henry, Charlotte and (y/n) looked on in sympathy and anger at how horrible the girl was. Not even Piper deserved to be spoken to like that.
"Okay, sorry." Piper sadly plodded back down the steps to where the two girls were waiting for her.
"Hold my popcorn, Charlotte, I'm gonna go say something to that brat." (y/n) said and rolled up her sleeves with a huff.
"Shhh. Don't upset her, please. I need her to like me." Piper stopped her from going anywhere.
"Okay, but if she looks at me, I'm gonna give her one of these," Charlotte said to Piper and pulled an angry face at the girl at the back.
"And I'm going to give her this." (y/n) went to stick up her middle finger, but Charlotte held her hand down before Paula could notice or Piper could tell what she was doing. She let out a sigh and took the younger girls to some free seats before she could swear in front of more children.
"Hey, I want popcorn," Ray whined to Henry as he watched (y/n) and Charlotte sat down with his sidekick's sister.
"There's none left in your adventure sack?" Henry asked him, still looking through the crowd.
"You know there's not! Be right back." The large man snapped, knowing that Henry was teasing him. He stood up to go to the foyer and grab a box.
"Keep an eye out for The Spoiler." The boy reminded him.
"You too." Ray left him and walked down the steps next to their seats. He had only been gone a minute when a man emerged from the crowd and started to speak.
"Uhhhh. Excuse me! Hey, people, listen up!" He shouted to everyone, and everyone fell silent. Henry looked at him in suspicion as he knew The Spoiler had made himself known.
"It's The Spoiler!" Charlotte cried and pointed to him, sending the room into a panic.
"He's going to ruin everything!" The dorky boy from before shouted from the back.
"I got some information about the movie!" The Spoiler addressed the crowd.
"Ray?" Henry needed his friend with him at a time like this. If only he hadn't been thinking of his stomach. He got up from his seat and ran to go find him at the popcorn kiosk.
"So, get this..."The Spoiler started, but (y/n) was quicker than him.
"Quick, everyone do this! La, la, la, la, la." She told everyone with her fingers in her ears to block out what he was saying. Everyone copied her actions, and the noise they made together meant they couldn't hear what the cocky teenager was saying.
"No, don't do that! Hear me! Hear me!" The Spoiler shouted, agitated that the crowd had some power over him.
Henry walked back into the room as Kid Danger, ready to fight the guy who was a menace to everyone in Swellview.
"Hey, you!" He shouted.
"What?" The Spoiler wasn't scared of some sidekick.
"Shut up!" Henry told him, as Piper noticed the new presence in the room.
"It's Kid Danger!" She yelled in happiness, as Charlotte and (y/n) breathed a sigh of relief that The Spoiler was about to meet his match.
"Oh my god, we love you, Kid Danger!" She yelled and grabbed onto her companions' arms as Henry stalked towards The Spoiler.
"Spoiler alert, I'm about to spoil you." Henry sassed the dude.
"Yes! That was the perfect quip!" Piper said fangirling over the boy she didn't know was her brother.
"Get outta here!" The Spoiler hissed at Henry and shoved him back onto the floor. The crowd 'oooh'd at the attack. Kid Danger got back to his feet and tackled the other teen to the floor. The crowd cheered and clapped as the two brawled and Henry got a few punches to the guy's stomach. However, the older teen was stronger and he managed to twist Henry's arm until he was pinned on the floor. The audience was in horror as the sidekick struggled against the criminal.
"Maybe I'll just break your arm and ruin the movie for everyone." The Spoiler said as he held Kid Danger's arm over his knee and gripped his throat harshly. Sensing the gravity of the situation, Piper ran from her seat, stealing a glow bat on her way down the stairs.
"Get your hands off Kid Danger!" She yelled at the thug and began whacking as hard as she could on the man's back. He fell to the floor in pain, letting go of Henry, but she carried on her attack. The crowd applauded her brave actions, especially Charlotte and (y/n). It seemed that courage and selflessness ran in the family, even if Piper rarely showed it.
Ray ran in as Captain Man to see his sidekick on the floor, wide-eyed at how viciously his sister was hitting The Spoiler.
"It's Captain Man!" The nerd boy said, and the crowd cheered even louder. Ray helped Henry up and lifted Piper away from The Spoiler.
"Calm down." He told her, but she went back to hitting the teen on the floor, making him pick her up again.
"Go, Piper!" Charlotte yelled as she clapped.
"Hit the crap outta him!" (y/n) joined in, loving the way the child was taking down a criminal for Captain Man. Having gotten Piper to calm down, Ray picked the teenager up by the scruff of his neck.
"Well, The Spoiler...I'm about to spoil..." Ray lifted his fist to punch the guy.
"I already quipped that." Henry chipped in, so Ray just chucked the guy to the awaiting cops instead.
"Kid Danger, can I have a hug?" Piper asked, but Henry freaked out at the idea. He couldn't get close enough to his sister that she recognised him.
"Uhhh, not right now, I need to go stand over there." He excused himself in a fake voice, so Piper turned to Captain Man instead. However, Paula Macchiato wasn't about to be outshone by her rival.
"Move!" The president ran down the steps and pushed Piper into the free seats at the front. (y/n) and Charlotte frowned and crossed their arms at the girl's spiteful actions.
"Captain Man, I'm Paula Macchiato, the president of your fan club, the Man Fans. I'm awesome." She said, which made Ray briefly look up at (y/n) who was pointing at her and mouthing the word 'bitch'.
"Yeah, I heard about you." He said, whilst also looking at Henry who shook his head at the girl.
"What's your name, little girl?" Ray asked Piper, knowing he had to be nice to her and not Paula.
"Piper Hart. Remember? One time you shot an alien off my face with Exterminator Phalange?" Piper said to jog his memory.
"Oh yeah. Well, Piper Hart, you showed extreme bravery by using this glow bat to beat The Spoiler nearly half to death." The superhero praised her.
"Thanks. I loved it!" She said in jubilation, as Paula Macchiato frowned next to her.
"And you...you just sat there, like a pile of nothing." He said to the brat.
"But, I was going to do something." Paula whinged.
"Wahh. But I was gonna do something. Wahh. That's how you sound." Piper spat the words the girl had said to her earlier on back at Paula. The crowd laughed at her joke and Henry looked on proudly.
"And now, I, Captain Man, declare you, Piper Hart, the new president of the Man Fans." He told Piper, which the Man Fan members in the crowd loved to hear. Paula, however, did not. Walking forward in front of Ray, she punched him as hard as she could in his stomach, however, the girl's measly strength meant that it was more of a tickle. (y/n) snorted at her pathetic attempt.
"I'm okay," Ray said his catchphrase sarcastically, and Paula just stormed off in anger.
"Now, what do you say we all watch Galaxy Wars 9?" Captain Man shouted at the cheering crowd, as Piper ran back to where Charlotte and (y/n) were waiting for her.
"Wait, wait!" The geek said, quieting everyone down.
"As guardian of the Throne of Krandor, I challenge both Captain Man and Kid Danger to the duel--" The two superheroes didn't want to hear anymore nerd-talk from the boy, so they just stunned him with their lasers. They began to walk back to their seats when Ray spotted that a woman had a carton of popcorn.
"Hey, what's that?" He pointed at something on the wall and took her box when she wasn't looking and rushed to join Henry, where they could enjoy the movie together.
~After the movie~
"Oh man, that was so good!" (y/n) said to Ray, Henry and Charlotte as they drove home from the movie. Piper was asleep on the back seat, so they were driving her home as quickly as they could.
"I know! Especially when Duke Starjacker blew up the space station!" Charlotte quietly geeked out with her. Ray and Henry liked the movie, it was good enough to satisfy their love for them, but for two fans of Galaxy Wars like the girls, it was out of this world.
"Aren't you glad you chose to be the best character now?" (y/n) poked Ray's cheek in her teasing. He smiled at her quickly but looked back to the road again.
"Yeah, yeah. It was a good costume." He said to keep her happy. They pulled up to the sidewalk outside Henry's house and Henry and Charlotte gently picked up Piper, him holding her head, and her taking her legs. The boy had transformed out of his super-suit after they left the movie theatre, meaning he could sneak back into his house and if his parents were awake, he wouldn't have to answer any hard questions.
"Ok, I can walk back to my house from here guys," Charlotte whispered to them through the Man Van's open window.
"Okay Char, have a good night," Ray said, and (y/n) waved to her as he pressed down on the gas and they drove off. The woman leaned back into her seat, the long and exciting night making her feel sleepy. The heater made her feel even drowsier, so she closed her eyes and leaned her cheek against the window.
"You getting tired on me?" Ray spoke up, noticing down she had fallen silent.
"Mm-hmm." She gave a small nod, and the man smiled at her. She was adorable when she got tired, as she clung to him and instinctively sort out his warm body. He knew that they were about fifteen minutes away from the Man Cave, enough time for her to doze.
"Sleep tight, princess. I'll be here when we get home." He put a hand on her knee and she fell into her dreams, imagining Ray as Duke Starjacker and her as a warrior of Mento fighting the galaxy side by side, her love for him burning as bright as the twin suns of Krandor.

🍎 Twilight
❀ Seth Clearwater x male reader ⚣︎
A/N: ok, I'll admit it.. I've had a crush on this cutie since like forever and I have daydreamed many scenarios with him. XD
(Maybe I could write down a few more.)
tags/warnings: plays after the last movie, reader is a hybrid like renesme, he has siren-powers, including the headcanon that the vampires don't sparkle but their skin becomes "see through" when the sun hits them so you can see black blood swirling beneath it etc., I tried to make Edward a bit less suffering drama queen and a bit more comical/happy
side ships: Renesme x Jacob, Bella x Edward, etc. (Cullen coven & Quileute pack canon ships)
So, you’re a siren
"Hello", Carlisle spoke with his soft tone to the wolf pack, "We're glad you came." He signaled for them to get inside the big house with floor-length windows. The sunlight shone through them for a few seconds and caught on the vampires' skin.
Some of the wolves still flinched at the sight of the swirling black blood, frozen organs and white bones under the translucent pale skin. It was something shocking, even horrifying. It made the fact even clearer that those people infront of you were undead. Caught it this body, this age and state, forever.
Edward heard all their thoughts. He had gotten used to the nonverbal comments, the mental shiver going through them at this scene. But as always he wasn't prepared for some of the more comedic things some of the boys thought from time to time when it came to his family of immortal beings.
He let out a snort and turned away to hide his growing grin as he surpressed the fit of giggles rising in his chest. The try to restrain made his organs visibly twitch and fortunately the sun went to hide behind a cloud again so that it was only noticable for a second.
Carlisle who had yet again been very observant smiled softly. "Apologies for making you a bit uncomfortable with this sight but we like to have one place where we don't have to hide."
"Don't worry", Sam answered just as calmly, "You don't have to apologize. It's just a bit surprising seeing it happen in real life. We'll get used to it eventually."
They had greatly detailed stories about the translucent skin of vampires and they had heard them a few times already. But as good as a storyteller can be, even if it's an old sacred legend, seeing it in person can be slightly terrifying. It made it much more real what actually happens around you.
"Tell me about it." Bella stood in the doorway to the kitchen and made her way towards them to hug her best friend Jacob. Just in time before her daughter walked out of that room too to hug her soulmate.
"So", the older alpha started, "Why did you want us to come over?" He had not missed the fact how Esme had placed a grounding hand on her husbands shoulder, how both Rosalie and Emmet seemed to stand guard on the stairs leading up towards the living room or how Renesmee stayed glued to Jake's side with a worried look on her face.
"We have something to show you. Or rather someone to introduce to you. We wanted to inform you properly of our newest family member since.. well, follow me and see yourself."
Sam quickly exchanged looks with some of his pack members before moving. They followed the vampired up the wooden stairs. Emmett, Rosalie and Jasper stood infront of the sofa purposely blocking the view to the person sitting there. When everyone stood in place Carlisle gave a signaling nod to the wall infront of their newest member.
"May I introduce (Y/N) to you. The reason why we wanted to do it this way is beacause he is like Renesmee. He is half vampire half human." The vampires moving to the side revealed a boy looking around the age of 19. You seemed worried and clearly anxious looking up at them and Emmett stayed close to you - just in case.
You looked into each new face trying a nice smile even though you knew it looked more like a forced grimmace.
When you came to a certain boy's face with warm eyes, cute features and a welcoming curious gaze everything stopped. The wolves tensed up slightly as they felt and saw the change in the room and Edward shoot up from the armrest of the chair Bella sat on.
The young wolf's eyes widened just like yours. And on top of that you also blushed as you couldn't turn your gaze away from him. "At least you can be sure now that he won't get hurt by us", Jake jocked earning a slap from Nessie.
Carlisle looked at Edward questioningly even though he was quite sure what was going on. Ed sighed and then grinned. He was happy for Seth who had become a good friend and almost like a brother to him. And he was happy for (Y/N) too. You had been so anxious the whole time with your thoughts racing around constantly and imagining almost every possible bad scenario.
"Seth imprinted. On (Y/N)", Eddie finally said out loud. Seth let out a heavy breath and looked at his sister anxiously. But she smiled when she catched his look even though she was still suspicious of this new boy they didn't know anything about yet.
Carlisle smiled calmly again. "Well then, I guess we get to the part of explaining a bit more." He gestured for everyone to get more comfortable. Seth immediately went to the sofa (Y/N) sat on making them both blush when he realized that his body had moved entirely on its own. Most of the others sat down or leaned against something while hardly suppressing giggles.
„Alright, another reason for that is the fact that he has powers too“, Carlisle continued. Every wolf‘s gaze went to the new hybrid trying to figure out if you had mental powers like Edward or Alice. „Do you want to explain them yourself?“, the oldest vampire asked you softly. You considered it for a moment before nodding. He smiled and signaled you to start.
“Uhm.. so, my dad, the vampire, had the powers to lure people in so that they would do what he wants them to do. That‘s how he managed to impregnate my mom who was apparently a very good singer. And well, my powers are basically a mix between those. I can hypnotize people through singing.“ You looked down at your hands feeling insecure with being so exposed to all those new people. „So you‘re basically a siren“, Seth said. You looked up at him with wide eyes.
You could only nod slowly and blushed again when your eyes caught his again. You had never thought of it this way. This term made your power seem really cool to be honest.
“Sorry“, Sam said to get your attention, “May I ask how you came to be here with the Cullens.“
Your eyes instantly went to Carlisle and Esme. They had been the most calming parts to you from the start. As well as Jasper of course who used his power a tiny bit so you wouldn‘t get another panic attack.
Esme gave you a warm smile. So, you gave them a short summary of your not so pleasant life.
How you were born and your mother had died immediately. That you were ‘raised‘ by her boss - the owner of a strip club. You didn‘t really have a choice or chance to get somewhere else. Then your so called father had shown up when he heard of your powers and wanted to take you with him.
Well, jokes on him because you had researched in secret, had heard from the Cullen clan and actually managed to run away. Bonus point that your ‘dad‘ had followed you and was.. removed with the help of the Cullens who had took you in when they heard your story.
It was quiet for only a few seconds but it was enough for your heartbeat to pick up again as you started to tense up.
Untill warm fingers brushed over yours. Seth didn‘t take your hand entirely but it helped you calm down. You looked at him and saw the small smile he gave you. It was warm, sweet and sunny. And you noticed that he had a cute dimple.
You gave a smile back, almost not noticeable. But Seth‘s senses were already fully focused on you. Every little change in your handsome face, those pretty eyes or your body was as clear as day from the moment you had linked eyes.
“Thank you for telling us“, Sam said with a warm voice. “I guess it is already clear that we will protect you as well. And you‘re always welcome on our land.“ He looked at Seth and then at your liked fingers laying on the cushions.
After that you all relaxed much more. Emmett still stayed close to you - he was pretty sure that you weren’t in danger anymore but he couldn’t deny that he had immediately had the urge to be like a big brother to you. And like with all his family, he wanted to protect you no matter what.
Leah came to you and introduced herself. She was still a bit cold and reluctant at first but soon warmed up to you. You really seemed like a good choice for her little brother - though she still swore to give you at least a light shovel talk once you felt better and safer. She didn‘t want to scare you off, just give you a little warning with care.

The Siren
Requested by @lifm06: Jasper x Reader where the reader is a siren and Jasper’s supernatural mate, but she doesn’t want to hurt Alice after seeing them kiss. So she runs away and a rogue vampire turns her and Jasper finds her collapsed on the floor during the process. After waking up, she gets hungry for real food and this confuses the Cullens and they find out she only half-transformed but still gets all the same cool powers and stuff.
A/n Hey there, thanks for the request! For the purposes of this story, I messed with canon. Alice and Jasper aren’t married — he’s new to the Cullen family (like within a year or two) and is currently dating Alice, seeing if they’re a good fit. Also, I’ve vaguely set this one at a university, hope that’s alright!
Pairing: Jasper X Female Reader
Disclaimer: I am not making any money from this nor do I own anything recognizable
Word count: 2418
Warnings: Mild descriptions of violence
“And aside from your book selections, no homework over the weekend.” The professor grins conspiratorially at the rejuvenated atmosphere in the classroom. “You’re welcome. Enjoy Homecoming.”
Gathering my items, I exit the classroom quickly, hoping to make it to my car before anyone can flag me down. It’s been a long, stressful day, and I want nothing more than to go home and relax in a wonderfully hot bath.
“Hey, Y/n!” A high-pitched voice chirps from below my ear and a cold, skinny arm wraps around my elbow.
“Alice,” I beam, unable to be annoyed at one of my favorite friends.
“You’re coming tonight, right?”
I grimace, quickly searching for an excuse.
She squints, frustration etching lines into her usually-smooth face. As I decide on and then discard various reasons for my absence at the Homecoming party tonight, staticky visions fly through her mind, just hazy enough to prevent her from interpreting them.
She doesn’t know I know she’s struggling to see my future. She doesn’t know I know she has visions, or that Edward can’t read my mind, or that she and her family are vampires.
She doesn’t know that I’m not human.
My supernatural attributes are even more subtle than vampire’s. I look and act and feel and die just like a human, but something is off. Something is different. When I argue with someone, they agree with me. When I ask for a lower price, it’s given. When I sing, people have no choice but to follow, even if I were leading them to their death.
My voice holds all my power.
Although Alice and I are both not human, I haven’t convinced myself to tell her that I’m a siren and that I know she’s a vampire. I would, really, if not for one terrible, awful, life-ruining fact.
I’m in love with her boyfriend.
From the minute Jasper walked into the lecture hall, I knew he was it. I felt the call of the heart, the soul, the sea, whatever, because I felt it all. I felt it so strongly, I thought I might collapse under the force of it.
And he walked past my seat like I was nothing to him.
Crushing as that was, after some research, I began to understand it better. I come from a long line of sirens, so I have the benefit of being aware of other supernatural beings. To the Cullens though, I must appear to be nothing more than a Shield -- capable of blocking their powers, but a human still. There’s no way for Jasper to know my feelings, because we operate on different wavelengths. And because vampires live forever, they can take their time forming connections — it’s not immediate like it is for sirens.
So I resolved to be patient. Over the course of months, Jasper and I developed a close friendship, teetering on the edge of something more. It was thrilling, wonderful, and painful all at once.
And then, four months ago, my best friend Alice confided in me that she and Jasper had gotten together.
It had nearly broken me. And while I love Alice like a sister and would never interfere with her happiness, I also don’t want to put myself in a position where I might see her and Jasper together.
Hence my hesitance to attend the party tonight.
“I really do have a lot of homework—”
“Y/n please, half the school will be there,” she whines, tugging on my arm impatiently.
That’s true…half the school will be there…I can have a fun night and never have to see her and Jasper together. So without much more of a fight, I agree.
{***}
The party is loud and wild and messy and fun. I dance with friends and strangers alike, celebrating the success of our football team and the new school year. The gathering is much too big to be held indoors, so we dance in the moonlight, in a large clearing not too far into the forest. I’m never alone — someone always seeks me out. It’s an unintended side-effect of being a siren, one that, even after many years, I still don’t feel accustomed to.
One of my acquaintances, Cleo, pulls me to the side for another drink, and towards the entrance of the clearing, I see them.
Jasper, the one I am meant to be with, holds my best friend Alice tightly against him, kissing her fiercely.
Pain pierces deep in my stomach and I drop my cup, fighting back tears.
“I—I have to go.”
Cleo calls after me, but I’m already gone, running through the sea of people in the opposite direction, into the woods.
{***}
The moon is much higher in the sky when I finally stop running. Panting, I sink to the ground, not sure if I’m gasping from exertion or my sobs. When I go to wipe my eyes, I notice the blood on my arms. I must’ve run through brambles or thorn bushes, but I have no real memory of it.
The only thing I can remember is seeing my love with someone else.
“Why are you crying?”
I whip my head up, expecting to have been alone.
A few yards in front of me stands a man possessing the type of beauty only afforded to the supernatural.
And his eyes shine bright red.
Oh no.
“N-nothing,” I stutter, fear momentarily pushing the emotional pain to the side. “I was just taking a break from a party, but I should be getting back now.”
“Yes,” he murmurs, taking slow steps forward. “The revelry can be heard for miles — I will admit that I have been waiting for one to isolate themselves. The woods are dark and dangerous and when you mix in alcohol well…disappearances can be better-explained.”
I swallow at his menacing words, pushing myself up to my feet.
Before I can make any further movement, the man comes behind me, holding me in a vice-like grip. “Fear not, young one,” he purrs, stroking his nose along my neck. “I shall be quick.”
Resolve settles within me, and I remember who I am. I am a siren, and my voice is my power!
“You will not kill me,” I declare in the sweetest, most enchanting voice possible.
I feel him physically weaken at my words, but I waited too long to speak.
His teeth are already sinking into my skin.
White-hot pain, more horrible than anything I’ve ever experienced, rips through my body and, with a shriek of agony, I fall to the ground.
The vampire looks upon me with a mixture of regret and pity. “I will not kill you,” he murmurs, still caught under the force of my words.
And with that, he flees, disappearing into the night.
I don’t know how long I writhe on the ground, begging, screaming for someone to help me, to make the pain stop.
But it only spreads.
After what seems like an eternity, the pain covers my entire body, and my vision goes black.
{***}
“Y/n?”
Though the pain, an angelic voice floats to my ears.
I try to respond, to reach towards it, but all I can manage is a scream.
“Oh my God,” the angel breathes, horror apparent in his voice.
Is he in pain too?! Has the fire reached my beloved?!
I begin to panic, trying to claw through the pain to get to him.
“Shh, shh, it’s alright,” the voice soothes, pulling me into an embrace that feels like home.
He’s silent for a moment, cradling my head in his hand, and then he speaks again.
“This is the first time I’ve been able to feel what you feel…” His voice sounds breathy, dazed, and I try to open my eyes, without success.
As much as I want to stay here with him, to be cognizant of his touch, his voice, the pain is too strong, and I sink into its clutches once more.
{***}
When the pain finally recedes from my body, I open new eyes.
The world around me has changed too, it seems. Everything is sharper, clearer, louder, more intense.
And when I look down and see Jasper holding my hand, I realize that my feelings for him have intensified, too. Somehow, I love him even more than I previously thought possible.
He nods, gripping my hand tighter. “I feel it too.”
“Y/n.” A soft voice to my right requests my attention, and I reluctantly turn my gaze from my beloved’s topaz eyes to greet those of Dr. Carlisle Cullen. He offers me a hesitant smile, clearly trying to make himself seem non-threatening. “I’m glad to see you awake and out of pain. How are you feeling?”
I shrug, at a loss for how to describe it all. I still feel like me, yes, but I feel….more. I feel the input of heightened senses and the resilient nature of my new body. “Different,” I decide, knowing that word will have to do it for now. “Where am I?”
“At our home,” a voice answers from behind me, and I jump off the bed, having previously been unaware of this third guest.
Edward Cullen stands there, hands raised in the universal show of surrender. “I’m sorry, I should’ve made my presence known. You can relax now, no harm will come to you here.”
It’s then that I notice that, in the mere span of half a second, I have thrown myself from the bed and into a defensive position, baring my teeth.
It’s Edward, I remind myself. You know him, he’s nice. Calm down.
I force myself to relax.
An intrigued look crosses his face. “I’d never been able to read your mind before today. I guess that’s an effect of the transformation.”
Transformation…meaning…
“I’m a vampire,” I realize, hands flying to my too-smooth skin.
“Yes,” Jasper breathes, placing a light hand on my arm. “I found you in the woods a few days ago, I’m sorry…I couldn’t stop it.”
He turns to face me then, regret plain in his features. I shake my head, wanting badly to stop his sadness. “No, it’s okay, I…well the pain wasn’t ideal, but that’s done now. I do wonder how this will fit with my other abilities, though…”
Carlisle furrows a curious eyebrow. “Your other abilities?”
“You’re a siren,” Edward gasps, pulling the thought from my head. “Or at least, you were…we’ll have to get Alice, see if she can see anything of your future. That might help us figure some things out.”
Alice. I glance to Jasper at my side, then quickly look away. I shouldn’t be this close to him. “Where is Alice?” Surely she would want to be here, as my best friend?
Edward shakes his head slowly, looking conflicted. “She wanted to be here, but she needed some time to herself. She—” he clears his throat, looking to Jasper for help.
Jasper squeezes my hand in his, prompting me to look at him. “When you changed, so did my future. It shifted and, well, didn’t include her in the way it might’ve before.”
Oh.
Oh!
Oh wow, I feel awful.
“Don’t,” Edward and Jasper protest at the same time.
“She’ll be alright,” Carlisle confirms, offering me an encouraging smile. “She has a world of other possibilities open to her, and she knows it. She’ll be back in a few weeks at most. And until then, we need to teach you how to be a vampire.”
I smile weakly, a twinge of discomfort in my stomach making itself known. “Can it wait until after dinner? I feel like I haven’t eaten in days.”
“Of course,” Carlisle nods, indicating to the nearby window. “If you follow us to the forest, we will teach you how to hunt.”
“Um—” I hesitate. “Won’t that take a while? I can smell the meat in the fridge now, could we just make that and go hunting tomorrow?”
I’m met with three sets of hopelessly confused eyes.
“You…want human food?” Jasper tilts his head, uncomprehending.
I stare at him, equally questioning. “Yes? Oh—” Realization hits me. “I should want blood, shouldn’t I?”
“Yes,” Carlisle nods, studying me closely. “You say you are a siren? Perhaps that stopped the full transformation from taking effect somehow.”
Worry pools within me. Am I not a proper vampire?
Edward shakes his head, knowing my thoughts. “No, you seem to be like us on the surface — you just don’t have the desire for blood. We should explore more in-depth though. For example, what of your lifespan? Will it be indefinite, or limited to the constraints of a human or a siren? Are you as strong as us, or are you holding on to human traits that make you weaker?”
Jasper senses my rising anxiety and places a hand on my shoulder. “There is certainly a lot to discuss, but we should do it after you eat.”
We go downstairs and Esme, one of the kindest people I’ve ever met, welcomes me with open arms and does her best to prepare the food she has on hand. I help a little, having been mortal the most recently.
After dinner, I meet the rest of the family, and they all join us outside for tests of my new abilities.
{***}
Nearly two days later, we’ve determined that I am a vampire.
Just not all the way.
It seems the siren in me stopped the full transformation from taking place, and I occupy a sort of half-state.
I am fast and strong, though not as much as my full-vampire counterparts. My senses are better than a human’s and almost as good as a vampire’s. My skin is just as hard and cold as a vampire’s. My eyes are currently red, though Carlisle thinks they will turn back to my usual color once my human blood fades from my system, providing I abstain from blood of any sort.
Perhaps the most interesting, is that my voice, already strong before my transformation, has only grown in power. I can bring Emmett—one of the strongest vampires we know of—to the ground with just a few words. It’s all very interesting.
The only matter we have yet to resolve is my life-span.
None of us know how long I will live.
My emotions tell Jasper where my thoughts lie. “We’ll figure it out,” he mutters, pressing a kiss to the top of my head.
I sigh, leaning back against his chest and enjoying his embrace. Because whatever time I have with him, I intend to soak it up for all it’s worth.
A/n Thanks for reading! If you have a moment, check out my masterlist :)

The Lanes never sleep.
The sunken streets may lie beneath Piltover’s heavy shadow, and the faults are numerous and deadly; but no one can claim that the Undercity is boring.
There is always colour to be found, if you know where to look.
It’s something you pride yourself on – the ability to see what others can’t. Some mistake it for simple optimism. But you know it’s more than just that. It’s the thing that’s kept you alive this long, in more ways than one. You've always been happy to go wherever life has taken you, and you're a big believer in gut instinct.
But you never expected to end up working as a bartender at The Last Drop – having been scouted by a blue haired girl who wouldn't take no for an answer.
Neither did you expect to find yourself landed with the terrifying task of ensuring Silco's personal drinks cart is kept well stocked.
And you certainly never expected to find yourself inadvertently become the weekly drinking partner of the Eye of Zaun himself.

Bellamy x reader x Murphy siren part 2!!!
Switch!Bellamy x sub!reader x mean!dom!switch!murphy
Smut daddy kink love MINORS DNI mean bellamy, then mean murphy to bellamy :( angst fluff smut the whole shabang
3rd pov
After bellamy and you had sex murphy returned to camp
"I told you what would happen if you came back" bellamy yells at murphy making you stand in front of him "bell hes not worth it" you wanna say but he cuts you off after you say bell "SHUT UP Y/N THIS ISNT ABOUT YOU, NOT EVERYTHING IS ABOUT YOU, YOU ARE USELESS RIGHT NOW JUST FUCK OFF" he yells
When he realises what he said his eyes soften "i didnt mean that" he says but you already stormed off, murphy laughs sarcastically "oh yeah girls love when guys who just took their virginities yell at them"
You spend the whole quarintine and virus incident avoiding everyone, even going as far as to sleep outside the camp, only octavia knowing where you are
What bellamy said really hurt you especially because you just gave him a part of yourself
Bellamy has spend the whole time looking for you but then got sick himself, the whole time he was sick he just kept asking octavia if you were okay but she was still mad at him
When murphy was allowed to leave the drop ship he goes looking for you too, but unlike bellamy he looks outside the camp
Quickly finding you sitting behind a tree, he smiles to himself and sits next to you "bellamy is a dickhead, you didnt deserve that" he says while softly wrapping his arm around your shoulder and pulling you into his side
What murphy doesnt know is that bellamy followed him "y/n" he says shocked when he sees you, you shrink into murphy's side "dont bother blake, i get it i was just another hole to warm your cock, i wouldnt be surprised if the rumors that you and raven slept together are true" you say, voice breaking
"Princess raven and me absolutely did not sleep together, you are the only girl for me, i was just mad at fuckwad there and i took it out on you, im sorry" bellamy says while walking over to you and kneeling down in front of you "please angel forgive me" he begs "come back to camp its dangerous out here" he adds
You look at murphy, who is already looking back at you "are you staying?" You ask him making him smirk and nod his head "yeah im all fucking back into the society" he says before getting up, offering you his hand and pulling you up when you take his hand
Bellamy sighs but follows you guys back to camp
When you reach camp jasper runs up to you and lifts you up in a hug "i was so fucking worried" he says "sorry i just" you start but jasper cuts you off "hey, we understand" he says with a glare to bellamy who walks off
When jasper lets you go you turn to murphy and hug him "i missed you" you whisper to him, he wraps his arms around your head cradling you to his chest "i missed you too, doll" he says shooting a glare at bellamy
"I know something that can cheer you up" murphy whispers after a bit, still holding onto you "would you like that?"
You nod your head and murphy pulls you to your tent "undress" he says after closing the tent flap, you bite your lip but do as he says
Any marks bellamy left are already faded or gone making murphy smirk "now im gonna make you feel good okay?" He asks "yes please" you reply
He pushes you down onto the cot softly before diving into your cunt, his tongue lays flat against your clit before he starts flicking it, you let out a loud moan making murphy chuckle and stop "gott-" he is cut off by the tent flap opening and closing
Bellamy storms up to murphy and pulls him off, you pull your blanket over you. "Absolutely not" bellamy sneers at murphy "you. Are. Not. Gonna. Fuck. My. Girl" he grits out
Murphy smirks "she isnt your girl though, she is very much single, and im trying to help her forget you because you, because you yelled at her and called her useless"
"Oh shut up, you are only doing this because you caught us fucking in the woods" bellamy says making you gasp "wh-what?" You ask
Murphy pushes bellamy off of him and turns to you "i did catch you guys having sex but, i didnt stay and watch i walked away" he says while grabbing my cheek "i just wanna help you forget the pain he gave you, you gave him a part of yourself and he yelled at you right after"
Murphy's hand goes under the blanket and he slides two fingers between your folds "just give me a chance, doll, i would never yell at you after you give yourself to me" he says while inserting two fingers into your tight hole making you moan
Bellamy looks at the scene in front of him before realising his cock is hard, he shamefully looks away "y/n i didnt mean to yell at you, and yes you are single, so if you wanna fuck murphy, go ahead. But daddy is gonna be right here, watching, enjoying" he says making you whine out and buck your hips
"Oh you like that, fairy?" Murphy asks with a smirk, his free hand rips the blanket from your grasp, he takes out his fingers and makes you face bellamy, he sits behind you and spreads your legs open and over his
He slides his fingers back in making you moan out " 's good sir" making him kiss your cheek "mhm good girl, when you wanna cum you ask premission okay?" He asks, you nod your head quickly
Bellamy takes off his pants and boxers and sits down in front of you on the bed, his hand wraps around his cock as he watches murphy's fingers move in and out of you
"She is open enough to fuck now you know" bellamy says really wanting to watch you get fucked
Murphy smirks "im in charge, bitch boy" he spits out before grabbing your throat and kissing you making bellamy moan
"Hey bitch, if you wanna cum you gotta fucking ask premission" murphy spits out to bellamy, secretly enjoying this more then he thought he would
Bellamy whimpers making you buck your hips "oh god sir gon' cum" you slur out making murphy tsk and slap your thigh "im the daddy now, doll" he says while smirking at bellamy
The older male glares at murphy for taking his title "yes daddy, im sorry can cum please?" You ask making murphy smile "cum for daddy, my love"
When you have calmed down a bit murphy pulls off his pants and boxers, he puts you on your stomache facing bellamy and shoves his length in
You reach out to bellamy's cock but murphy stops you by grabbing both your wrists and holding them behind your back "he doesnt deserve being touched by us, do you know why dollface?" He asks making you shake your head
"Cause hes a dumb fucking bitch, and he hurt you" murphy sneers out "so this time you cant touch him, but if hes a good boy next time ill let him get your hands" murphy says
He places a kiss to the back of your neck "doing so good for me" he whispers softly to you
Bellamy growls "gotta cum, please let me cum"
Murphy laughs "i think you mean 'daddy please can i cum? Ill be a good boy'" making bellamy glare but submit "daddy, i gotta cum please, i swear ill be a good boy"
Murphy looks at you "should i let him cum, doll?" He asks you while pounding into you harder "yes yes me too? Me too daddy gotta cum please please" you beg out, murphy smirks "see babyboy thats how you beg, go ahead cum, both of you" he says
Bellamy's cum covers your face and some lands in your mouth as you moan out and spasm around murphy's length, you quickly swallow the salty liquid
"Im gonna stuff you now okay doll?" Murphy says pulling your back to his chest, his pace now slow and sensual "yes please daddy"
He starts cumming, filling up your cunt with his cum, when he lets go of you you fall forward onto the matress with a sigh
Murphy pulls out making you whine, you sre laying face down ass up and you can feel murphy's cum drip out of you
Murphy takes off his shirt and softly wipes your abused cunt before placing a peck on it
He throws the shirt to bellamy who cleans off your face and pecks your lips "im sorry" he whispers before turning to murphy "next time im domming got it bitch boy?" He grabs the younger man by the neck and pulls him in for a kiss
When they turn back to you they notice you have fallen asleep

The Millionaire Waltz
Characters:Kaz Brekker x (Female)Reader
Type:Fluff with the tiniest bit of angst
Summary:Kaz finally found love but had to let it go,will it find it's way back to him?
A/N:Song fic inspired by The Millionaire Waltz by Queen! This is part of @magpiencrow's 1.2K celebration so CONGRATS!!!and i hope you like this!I have not written in a loooong time so this might not be my best work but i'm still happy with it
Warnings:Getting cut on glass (on accident)
“Never make decisions out of fear Jesper, only out of spite”,one of the many sentences uttered by Kaz Brekker that had stuck in Y/N’s mind, though that wasn’t how she operated.
I make them out of love, she had to stop herself from saying on that fateful night. That is one of the ways those two were polar opposites, while Kaz always made his decisions using logic,Y/N was known for following her emotions like a lost puppy.Maybe that’s why she could only ever be a follower, the blood of a leader just didn’t run through her,yet she was happy that out of all the people she could be following she was lucky enough to land on Kaz Brekker.
The girl found love everywhere she went, she loved to sing, dance, paint, even if she wasn’t the best at it,she would always say as long as you put love in it,it's beautiful.Anyone else would’ve loved these characteristics but people with a heart as full as hers weren’t known to last long at Ketterdam, and that’s exactly why Kaz worried,he worried so much that she would get hurt by her own heart
But what he hated the most was that he was getting hurt by his own heart.Without wanting, without realizing until it was too late,he had fallen for her, fallen hard. Her songs had drawn him in like a siren draws a sailor to his end.The bastard of the barrel was known for many things but love never crossed that list and he hoped it would stay that way,yet his hopes went unanswered.
He tried and tried to bury his feelings down below, deep enough that the most skilled detective couldn’t find them, with no success. So after hiding for so long he decided if you can’t beat them, join them, and he did.No longer did he leave for his office when celebration started,no,now he would sit and listen to her pour her heart out after a few drinks with a badly written song or dance the night away with Jasper,he so badly wanted to join her but he knew he couldn’t,so he just watched, and for a long time that was enough to make him happy.
“You can’t keep getting hurt like this” Kaz had scolded Y/N as she sat in his office. The girl’s hand was wrapped in bandages, she had gotten it scarred on their latest heist, everything was going well until she had tripped and fallen hands first on pieces of broken glass. She had known they were there but was simply too distracted by the beauty of the paintings in front of her to remember, hence falling right on them.
Looking up from the scribbles she had been making on her bandages with an ink pen she said “Kaz i’ve survived worse, and how come you don’t scold Jasper or Inej like this when they get hurt?”
She was looking straight at him now and Kaz felt like she was looking through him.Everyone could tell that he worried much more for her than any other Crow and Y/N wanted some answers, she didn’t know his feelings so in her mind she had insecurities that maybe he thought less of her, thought her as incompetent
Kaz simply muttered what he had been thinking this entire time“Because i care about you,i care about them too but not the same way i do for you”.He knew no heist was worth getting her hurt,no amount of money could make him feel as she could, with only one look at his direction she could make him feel like the richest man not just in Ketterdam, but in the whole world.
Y/N still wasn’t too sure what to make of that but then he met her gaze and it was like the muddy waters had cleared, with just one look she understood, and she was happy, the saints couldn’t have stopped the smile that grew on her face
”I feel the same way” she had said and now they were both happy,a happiness so pure,a type Kaz hadn’t felt in a long time, she made him feel like he had everything, made him feel like a millionaire.Months went by and they stayed that way,but everything good must come to an end, right? On an unsuspecting morning the girl had received a letter from her family seas away, someone close to her had gotten deathly sick and she must leave immediately if she wanted to say her goodbyes,so she did.Kaz didn’t try making her stay,he knew how it felt to lose someone close to you and he wanted her to at least get to say goodbye.
It broke his heart watching her leave, getting on that ship and not knowing if he was ever going to see her again. She had promised him she’d come back but he knew promises don’t always stay true.”I’ll always come back to you love and until then” she had said handing him a heart locker “keep this part of me with you” and with that she left,he didn’t take his eyes of the ship until it was swallowed by the fog surrounding the sea.
When he opened the locket he found a piece of her hair in it,a part of her would always be with him no matter what. That part was all he had of her for months and it was driving him crazy. The crows would always try and console him,she was okay, she will be back, but nothing could change the growing anxiety he felt.He wanted,no,he needed for her to be back, needed it desperately. He loved her so much that the mere thought of something bad happening to her made him feel like throwing up.Each day he would wait at the dock, each day he would go home empty handed, until today.
It had felt like a dream, watching her figure slowly emerge from the ship, breathing in the air of Ketterdam. He had seen her before she saw him since she was busy tugging at the luggage behind her.Kaz had never ran so fast towards someone, and when she saw him she had to stop herself from throwing her arms around her love, but she couldn’t stop herself from having the biggest smile on her face.
Reaching her hand forward, she choked out “I’ve missed you so much” tears were threatening to spill out of her eyes.Kaz took her hand, giving it a squeeze,“Me too” and letting it go and at that moment everything was okay, all their anxieties and worries gone for at least a few moments, moments that they cherished more than anything.Kaz finally had his girl right there, she came back just as she promised to and he swore to never let her go again.

Will Cruella and y/n be able to put their problems aside and work together?
A/n - Hello guys, I’m sorry it took so long for me to update, but I’ve been working on the chapters ahead because I had a few ideas, and I’ve been writing Cruella’s POVs to add as extras to the story. From now on, I’m going to stick to the original update days, Mondays and Wednesdays, as I did at the beginning. Hope you enjoy this chapter, and I that everything is ok, keep safe, love u <3
Pairing - Cruella x female!reader
Word count - 1.9k
Warnings - none
As soon as all the guests came out running from inside the House of Baroness, the plan had been put into action, the show had finally begun. Everything was happening so fast, the loud music filling the streets of London, the interested eyes set on all the incredible outfits designed by Cruella. You were sweating, putting so much effort into making the show worth it, and you were glad that the public seemed to be enjoying it. Artie's voice filled your ears as he sang the lyrics to the song "I wanna be your dog" by The Stooges. Jasper played the guitar a few feet away from you, the frown from earlier still deep in his features. Up in one of the windows of the House of Baroness building, stood no other than the Baroness herself, looking down at the show. You had yet to see Cruellas outfit, the time was nearing and you didn't know what to expect of it, but still were sure it would be fantastic, and quoting Cruellas earlier words, yes you were eager, how could you not be?
And a second later as she appeared and the crowd cheered, it was then, that the world seemed to go in slow motion for you. Artie's voice, as the music that filled the place, became muffled and seemed to be miles away. The whole world stopped for a second as she appeared with a coat of what resembled Dalmatian fur. Although it wasn't real, was it? Probably not, Cruella would never do anything of the sort, you were sure of it.
You were surprised. Of everything she could've come up with you surely wouldn't be able to think of that. Sure, she looked stunning in it, as she did in everything she wore, always. Seeing her smile the way she was tonight made your heart combust with happiness and warmth, you have never seen her so happy before. She was living her dream while getting her revenge. The Baroness was being out staged by her in every single way possible. You were happy for Cruella as well, you couldn't be happier, this was her world, she wanted to make art and she had finally done it, everyone wanted to be like her. She had inspired people.
As you come to your senses, the sound of the loud music coming back to you entirely, quickly batting your eyes and trying to refocus on everything, as the sounds of sirens were heard and the flashing lights of the police cars approached and everyone started to run away. You shook your head and tried to focus, the adrenaline quickly kicking in. You were still a little dazed, sweat dripping from your forehead, hot to the touch. You looked to your right and you saw Jasper and Horace picking up the sound amplifiers and walk away at a fast pace down the street. It was at that exact moment you felt someone grab your shoulder and hollowing you down of the stage and onto the streets. You, startled, looked up and saw that it was Artie, you linked your arm in his as he continued to guide you straight ahead quickly. You barely had time to think, but still glanced back towards the stage and saw Cruella standing on top of the stage glancing up towards the baroness and then at the scene, her signature smirk gracing her features as she started to walk away as well.
When you realized you had already arrived at 2nd Time Around. You and Artie, as well as some of your coworkers who had come with you while running away, went to the back of the shop and sat down on some of the couches that filled the room. Your adrenaline started to die down, your skin felt cooler now, probably because of the slight breeze from outside. Artie sat on a chair on your left, and let out a sigh while smiling.
You looked at him and gave him a smile too. Everything had gone well, within possible, the show was a success, and not being arrested was a plus. Everyone in the room was exhausted but trilled and buzzing from all the running around. Artie had brought a bottle of champagne with him to celebrate, and it was at that moment you remembered Cruella and the boys. You saw them all getting away, but did they really? No, everything was alright. You were just being paranoid, they're probably celebrating as well. Cruella must be buzzing with happiness, you smiled as soon as you thought of her.
Your thoughts were interrupted by Artie, who, as he pored you a glass said, "I was hoping we would celebrate it all together, hence buying the bottles of champagne." he tilted his head towards the other champagne bottles in the corner. "Perhaps tomorrow when we go to the warehouse."
You took the glass from him, muttering a 'thanks' while giving a small smile. "Well, I was thinking of going there in a bit to see them. I bet Cruella is buzzing." You said chuckling, and then sipping your champagne.
"Oh, I know she is." Artie laughed "Go on then, lovebird, go and celebrate with her, perhaps you'll finally be able to confess your feelings." Artie said a smug grin on his face.
Your mouth drooped. Was it that obvious? Looking away you decided to pretend you didn't know what Artie was talking about. "I have no clue of what you're talking about." You said sipping your champagne, busying yourself, looking everywhere but at him.
"Yeah, actually I think you do." Artie said. "If you want to pretend you don't it's fine by me. " You finally met his gaze, and he gave you an honest smile. "But if you want to know my opinion," you looked at him expectantly, chewing on your bottom lip. "I think she fancies you too." You flushed at that and god, how you wished that were true.
After bidding Artie and everyone else goodbye, you grabbed one of the other champagne bottles Artie had bought and started your route to the warehouse. You were nervous, to say the least, the wind lightly gracing your hair, you still wore the piece from the show, black boots hitting the stone floor of the sidewalk. Your plan was to get to the warehouse and let things flow. The most important thing tonight was Cruella's happiness, you didn't want to ruin her day and bother her with your feelings. The words Artie had said to you before you left were still wandering around in your head though. Does Cruella really fancy you? Or was that just Arties's attempt to make you feel better? There were too many questions unanswered and that made you very uneasy.
The sound of an ambulance siren was heard down the street, and you turned to look as it passed you rapidly, making you freeze as the sudden cold wind made by its velocity caused. You watched it go and thought nothing of it. You continued on your walk, not wanting to waste a lot of time and catch Jasper and Horace already asleep without at least one toast.
As you were nearing the warehouse, sounds of people talking, lights of what looked like police cars, ambulances, and firefighters lighted the whole street. You quickened your pace, becoming more worried by the minute.
Your heart stopped the second you saw the warehouse burned with flames, firefighters trying to put out the fire. And for you, the only thing that mattered at that moment was to look for Cruella. Was she alright? Were Jasper and Horace alright as well? What had happened?
You started to look around the crowd of people that had gathered around the scene, passing and excusing everyone you were bumping with as best as you could, as you tried to catch sight of any of them. Finally, you caught sight of Jasper, and quickening your pace to a slight run, you pushed through the lots of people, this time forgetting the apologies, you just needed to know if they were all alright, you needed to know if Cruella was alright. You needed to know what the hell had happened.
"Jasper!" You yelled and hopped that overall the noise he would be able to hear you.
Jasper turned his head at the sound of his name being called. He had this unreadable look on his face. He turned now, completely to face you. Realizing it was really you, Jasper began to walk in your direction but was soon stopped by a police officer. As you approached him, eyes wide with despair and confusion, you were as well as he was before, stopped in your tracks by a police officer pulling you back, telling you to stay back. You tried your best to free yourself from their grip, but you were unsuccessful, and when you looked up again to see Jasper, it was then that you saw him and Horace being hollowed in on one of the police cars. Not knowing what was going on was making you more frustrated by the minute.
You stopped struggling to get free of the officers' grip and backed away, clutching the champagne bottle to your chest as you tried to assimilate and decipher what was going on, still looking around for Cruella, she wasn't with Horace and Jasper, so she had to be there somewhere. As you reached a not do crowded spot, you took a big deep breath and exhaled to try and think of what to do next, it was then, that from your right, you heard one of the many journalists on the scene, who were broadcasting the news to their respective tv channels, say the following.
"Cruella, best know for upstaging the Baroness in the fashion world has died tonight."
For the second time that day, your world stopped. This time for an incredible different reason. It became silent. The champagne bottle you were holding, fell to the floor, the faint sound as it reached the hard street concrete, breaking it into pieces. Your arms fell to your sides, you felt like your body would give out at any given moment. You glanced up, towards the still in flames building and then looked down to the broken bottle and its pieces that laid now on the pavement, said bootle to which you had planned for you all to drink to. To celebrate.
You don't remember why, or how you found the strength to do it, but you started running. Running fearlessly, not stopping. The cold wind from the pitch-black night sky hit your face and made you shiver as it hit the tears that you didn't even know were falling, but that didn't stop you. You entered 2nd Time Around furiously, startling Artie as he, who was standing in the middle of his shop listening to the radio news, turned around to look at you. It was then that you knew that it was all real. You hadn't been dreaming, you hadn't fallen asleep after the show and imagined it all. It was true. She was really dead.
Artie came up to you and wrapped his arms around you tightly. You felt crushed, your body was limb, you didn't know what to do, you didn't know what to think, your mind went blank. Cruella had died and you didn't get the chance to tell her how you actually feel.
Artie's radio, which was still on, was the only sound filling the place as you silently cried in your best friend's embrace.
"Cruella, a shining star in London's fashion scenery, has tragically died tonight in a warehouse fire."

a/n: I could use the corona virus or COVID-19 but decided to use the virus used in the Emergency! Episode of the same name. The virus being a strain of the Asian flu during a bad outbreak in the late 60’s. Also the drugs and measure mentioned are probably not accurate, I’m not a pharmacist.
a/n2: D.O.N = Director of Nursing, DOA = Dead on Arrival, BP = Blood Pressure, O2 Sat = Oxygen Saturation

“Dean,” Cas says, walking into the fire stations garage.
Dean was logging supplies in the squad truck when he heard Cas enter and got his attention.
“What’s up Cas?”
“When you started dating Y/N, when did you know she was the one?”
“What do you mean?”
“I really like Meg, and when she was taking care of me after that accident of mine I found that she and I have a lot in common and I want to know her more?”
“Well, Cas, it’s different for other people. Just ask Meg out. Talk to her, find out stuff about her that she likes, hates, and if you can find yourself still able to love her despite her flaws. Keep it going. Keep taking her out.”
“You make it sound so simple.”
“Nothing in life is simple man.”
Cas nods in agreement.
The alarm sounded in the station.
“Squad 51, someone sick. Respond. 226 south Jasper’s Avenue, cross street South Walker boulevard.”
“Back at it again.” Cas says.
“Let’s hit it.”
Dean getting into his usual spot in the squad, revving the engine to life and heading to the location.
When they arrived, another station had arrived originally.
Dean and Cas gathered their tools and headed into the residence.
“Chuck, what do you got?” Cas asked.
“Kelly McMeyers, 22, her dad said she was fine at breakfast.”
They followed Fireman Chuck through the house to the girl’s bedroom to find her on her bed, sweating, pale and in obvious discomfort and pain.
Dean placed a hand on her head.
“She’s burning up, Cas, get the thermometer.”
Cas did as told handing the thermometer to Dean.
Dean placed in the girls mouth, under her tongue. Cas handing him the blood pressure cuff.
Dean began checking her Blood pressure.
“Get the radio, we need to tell the hospital.” Dean orders.
Cas, pulls out the radio of it’s holster on his belt.
“Rampart, this is rescue 51. Rampart this is rescue five one.” Cas radios in.
It was a normal slow day at the hospital, y/n having finished her charting, getting reading for her lunch break.
“Rampart this is rescue 51,” she heard Cas’s voice over the radio. “Rampart this is rescue Five one.”
She picks up the hand piece to the hospital’s radio to respond.
“Go ahead 51.”
“Rampart we have a female, Kelly McMeyers, 22 years of age.” Cas transmits.
“BP is 129 over 80, O2 Saturation is…”
Dean places a hand over her chest, watching it rise and fall. Counting in his head. But scolding with the low number he came up with.
“Did you pack the pulse Oximeter?”
“I did.” Cas says, handing it to him.
“I got to double check before I give you the wrong number.”
Dean turned on the device, and placing it on her finger.
“Still reading low, O2 Sat, 85.” Dean says.
“O2 sat is 85. Temperature is coming up…”
Dean pulls out the thermometer.”
“105.” He reads.
“Temperature is 105.”
y/n was shocked she had a temperature that high.
“51, standby, a doctor will be with you shortly.”
“10-4.”
“I just don’t understand, she was fine at breakfast, it happened so suddenly.” The girl’s father expressed.
“Some of these things do happen rather quickly.”
“Could be the Asian Flu?” Chuck suggests. Playing with the girl’s pet monkey.
“Well, let’s not jump to any conclusions until a doctor can see her.” Cas says.
“Kelly, sweetheart, can you hear me?” Dean asks.
The girl nods groggily.
“She’s really drowsy.” Cas mentions.
“Kelly, are you in any pain at all?” Dean asks.
“My head hurts, my chest hurts too.” She whines.
“She threw up a bit before you got here Winchester.” Chuck mentions.
“51, this is doctor Singer.”
“Rampart, we have new information, patient is experiencing head and chest pain, she’s drowsy and vomited a few times before we arrived.”
“Alright, start IV, lidocaine, two milligrams. And just in case what she has is contagious keep contact with the patient to an absolute minimum.”
“10-4 Rampart.” Cas says.
“I’ll get the IV going, if you want to get the ambulance here Chuck.”
“Already ahead of you, they should be here by now.”
Sirens are heard in the distance, as if on cue.
“How about that timing?” Cas says.
“Alright, she’s set, lets get her to the hospital.” Dean says.
Just as more paramedics came in, Dean grabbed the equipment as Cas walked out with the patient.
Chuck still petting the monkey.
“I love monkeys, bet he’d be a cute pet to have.” He says.
“Yeah, but they’re not meant to be pets Chuck.”
“Yeah, I know. But, cute little guy, isn’t he?”
The monkey sat on his pole that stood in the room. And the monkey started walking over to Dean, walking on his shoulder, messing with his hat.
“Hey, stop,” he told the monkey while trying to shake him off gently.
The monkey got back on his pole as Dean walked out to the squad.
At the hospital, Y/N, Doctor Singer assisted in the patient, Kelly McMeyer, as Doctor Singer preformed a spinal tap.
Just as he pulled out the needle, gathering spinal fluid, Doctor Kline walks in.
“What’d you got Bobby?”
“Possible strain of the flu, her symptoms are consistent with that of the Asian flu, but the incubation period is too fast. Her symptoms came up quick, she was fine at breakfast.”
“Do we know where she’s been lately?”
“All over southeast Asia, Kelly and her friends were part of her church’s mission trip in assisting kids in orphanages, and adoption homes. Fixing them up, helping kids get adopted. And her dad took her camping when she got back. Took her to the Black Hills in South Dakota.” y/n explained.
“That opens us up to a whole array of fevers, and of course flus. China is always riddled with noval viruses we’ve never seen nor dealt with. And of course, there’s ones we’ve dealt with her, rocky mountain spotted fever, lymes disease, or even parasitic infections. Fungal infections that could have originated from her camping trip.” Jack explained.
“Did Kelly have any kind of protection on either trip?” Jack asked.
“Her dad made sure she packed, bug spray, tick spray, and they had nets around their camp to prevent nats and other flying insects from getting in the tents.” Y/N says.
“So, in which case, we’re back to, what did she catch when she was in China. Because chances of her getting anything on the camping trip are slim I’m guessing.”
“Her dad was pretty adamant that they were covered for their trip. He didn’t want anyone getting sick.”
Jack nods.
“Let’s get some blood work, see if we can’t find the answer in there.”
“You got it doctor.” y/n says, getting her hands sanitized, and ready to draw some blood.
“Dean, your shift was done an hour ago, go home!” His father ordered.
“Just finishing up the logs for the day.”
“Cas can finish it up for you, he at least goes home in an hour. Now go.”
“Yes sir, you sure you got this man?” Dean asks.
“Dean, I got it. Go home and rest. See you in two days.”
Dean handed Cas the papers for logging their day, what all happened, their end result. He grabbed the keys to his Impala and drove on home.
He could tell he was exhausted. At a stop light he had to really will himself to stay awake just a few more miles.
But as he got to another stop light, he knew he was too tired to be driving.
Y/N’s apartment wasn’t far. He moved lanes before her street came up and Dean drove to her apartment. Giving her a call to make sure she was either up or home.
“Hey Handsome, how was your day?” she asked.
He could hear the background of the hospital.
“Exhausting. Are you still at work?”
“Yeah, another late one. Why? Are you in the area?” she asked. Sounding concerned.
“I’m really exhausted, and I don’t think I’m gonna make it home. I was thinking on crashing at your place.”
“You can stay there Dean; my key is by my hanging plant. I think your clothes from last time are still there.”
“Thanks baby, where would I be without you?”
“Dead in a ditch because you’ve run yourself ragged, now hurry to my place and get to bed. I’ll home when I can.”
“Love you sweetheart.” He says with a tired smile, pulling into her apartment complex.
“Love you more Winchester, sleep well.” She says.
He parked his car near where she parked. Walking up tiredly up to her apartment he found her key easily.
He headed inside, placing the key back but also locking up behind him as he got himself settled.
She had since gotten a new apartment since the plane crash; sure she was farther away from the hospital, but she was closer to him by several blocks.
He had gotten out of the shower, feeling a little bit better, but he climbed into his side in her bed. Pulling the covers over him, and falling fast asleep once his head hit the pillow.
She had hurried with her charting, her replacement nurse coming in late. But at least she showed up.
She hurried to her car to get on home.
She saw Dean’s car parked next to her spot on the street. She parked her car right behind his.
She quietly entered the apartment. Leaving the lights off she navigated to her room seeing his sleeping form in her bed. Sound asleep.
She made her shower quick and simple, washing off the stress of the day and relaxing enough so she could fall easily asleep.
She climbs into bed beside him. He tossed, turning towards her, wrapping his arms around her.
Poor dude was exhausted. But Dean was no fool, he loved being the little spoon. Maybe too much. But when it was her, he didn’t care too much.
Days followed, and the original patient began to go downhill. Her fever wasn’t breaking.
Y/N had finished getting Kelly’s vitals, updated her chart. She headed back out to the nurses station when she saw an ambulance dropping off a new patient.
“What do we have?” she asked.
“Fireman, Chuck Shirley. Stricken with a fever, 104 temp, slightly elevated BP.” One of the paramedics informed.
“He was fine at lunch time.” His wife said behind the paramedics.
“Are you his wife?” Y/N asked.
“I am, my name’s Becky.”
“Okay, I’ll escort you to the waiting room. I’ll keep you informed of your husbands situation.” y/n told her.
Becky nodded, and she was lead to the waiting room. Y/N walked back into one of the exam rooms.
Hours passed as the doctors looked over Chuck, they learned one thing in common.
He responded to Kelly McMeyers.
“I want everyone who responded to get checked out. Clearly we are up against something contagious.” Jack orders.
“I’ll get right on it.” y/n says.
As the day wore on, Y/N had called all the stations that responded, the ambulance and even called up her boyfriend personally.
“Afternoon beautiful.” Dean answers.
“Hey babe, you responded on the Kelly McMeyers right?”
“I did, me and Cas both, why?”
“Chuck Shirley is sick with the same symptoms as Kelly, and Dr. Kline has ordered you two to come in and get checked out.”
“Is it really that bad?”
“Dean, Chuck looked bad. Come in, please.” She practically whined.
“Okay, I will. Don’t worry sweetheart. I have to come down for supplies anyway, I’ll bring Cas along.”
“Thank you. See you soon.”
Just as Dean and Cas left the hospital after giving their blood samples to be checked for any virus or uprising in white blood cell count. Questions rose to how and where the original patient got sick.
“Whatever this Kelly chick has must be bad.” Dean says as he drove back to the station.
“Must be, if she didn’t get while camping then where?” Cas asks.
For a beat there was a pause.
“The same place where she got her pet monkey.” Cas says.
“You really think that monkey is the carrier?” Dean asks, unsure.
“Think about it Dean. It’s always animals in other countries that carry all these scary viruses. Swine flu came from pigs. Avian flu came from birds. The Asian flu came from, well, Asia but it was ducks. What if, this monkey one of those viruses and was somehow able to transmit it overseas?” Cas explained.
“You should really be a doctor something, damn Cas.” Dean says, impressed with the information Cas was able to share.
“Also think of the movie Outbreak.”
“Dude, that wasn’t even a real virus.”
“No, but it was a real situation that can really happen. It’s the worst case scenario. But it was a monkey carrying a mutated version of the virus.”
“I think you’re onto something Cas.” Dean says, digging around in his pockets.
“Here, call my girlfriend, tell her what you told me.”
“Okay.” Cas says.
“Hello?”
“Y/N, it’s Cas, you got a minute?”
“How’s Dean?” she asked concerned right away.
“Oh, he’s fine, we were just talking about the victims. She brought home a pet monkey from China. And Chuck was playing with it.”
“That is actually something Cas, thanks. Is there anything else we need to know?”
“Not really, but just for the fact that this monkey might carry a virus that could kill Kelly and our friend.”
“And you’re spot on, on that. I’ll tell Jack and Bobby. Thanks Cas.”
At the hospital, the two doctors were at the nurses station when Cas called. Their attention on her when she seemed surprised with the information he given her.
“Cas of squad 51 just told me Kelly brought home a pet monkey from China. And that Chuck played with it.”
“That’s something, Bobby, get someone to go with Kelly’s dad back to his house. Get the monkey and bring the little guy in.”
“You got it Jack.”
Cas had handed Dean his phone back.
“You know, Cas,” he says.
Cas doesn’t say anything but has his attention.
“I kind of played with the monkey too.”
The next following day, Kelly was slowly getting better. But Chuck was taking a turn for the worse. His fever wasn’t breaking.
Jack goes into Kelly’s room to talk to her about her monkey.
A nurse was already in the room taking care of her.
“Abaddon why aren’t you wearing your mask?”
“Oh, sorry Doctor its just—”
“No excuses, you’re taking an unnecessary risk. Not only would you be putting your life at risk, you’re putting everyone else’s lives at risk as well.”
With that she put her mask over her mouth and nose.
“Kelly,” Jack says.
She opened her eyes slowly giving the doctor his attention.
“We got your pet down in the lab. Now, was he ever sick when you had him?”
“Yes, just after I bought him. He had a bad cold, and threw up a bit too.”
“Well in order to help the fireman, and you as well, we may have to put him down so we can perform an autopsy.”
“No, you can’t!” she cried. “I don’t know what I’d do without Oreo!”
“Kelly, it’s the only chance we have at saving lives.”
The tears that built up in the girls eyes fell. Jack took his gloved finger by her cheek, brushing away the tears that fell.
“If you’re right about that,” she swallows thickly. “Then you can take Oreo.”
“Could help you too Kelly.” Abaddon says.
“I know.”
Jack gave a sad smile through his mask.
He doffed off his PPE by the door and left her room to give the go ahead.
“Dean, we have a group of kids from Jefferson Elementary School to come in for a tour, can you help Gabe clean up the garage real quick.”
“Dad, I’m really exhausted, can you get Cas to do it?”
“It’s not like you to complain, come on now. He’s busy with the logs, come on it won’t take long.”
The alarm sounded.
“Never mind.” John says.
“Station 51, medical emergency. At the top of the Wells Fargo bank at 5535 Woodland Boulevard. Cross street Jackson Avenue.”
The men and women at station 51 jumped into action.
At the location they climbed up the stairs after they reached the max floor the elevator would allow to go.
“What happened?” John asked one of the men working on the roof.
“Jimmy was over the edge cleaning the windows and he let out a yell, and I saw him collapse. I tried getting him on this thing but it’s jammed.”
“We’ll get him, we’ll hoist one of my paramedics down to get a line on him and we’ll bring him up.” John assured.
“I’ll go.” Dean says.
“Why don’t we just swing the lift through a window?” Cas asks.
“There wouldn’t be a safe way to do it. Just, get me down to him. Drop a line for him and he’ll be up here before you can say Bobs your uncle.” Dean says.
“Just be careful man.” Cas says.
“I will dude.”
Dean has the ropes around him, his harness, Gabe, Michael and Raphael anchored his rope as they helped lower him down.
“Okay, more slack!” Dean shouts as he got closer to the victim.
He got safely on to the lift and began to work the rope around the victim so they could lift him up.
But Dean’s vision began to spin. His hands came up to hold the support of the lift.
“Dean, you okay!?” Cas shouts from the ledge.
“Yeah!”
Dean hurries to get the rope around the victim and tries to work on tying the knot.
His dizziness got worse, and worse. Just as he was about to ask for help, Dean passes out.
His body falling off of the lift, and hangs by his harness off of the ledge.
“Try lifting him up a bit!” Cas ordered.
The three brothers tried pulling the rope slightly.
Cas could see Dean wasn’t getting any higher.
“No, stop, he’s tangled. I’m gonna have to head down there.” Cas says.
He heads over to Charlie who handed him some rope, getting the lopes around him, and working his harness on.
Cas hurries over the ledge.
Gabe, Michael, and Raphael tied Dean’s rope to hold him steady as they lowered Cas down to the lift.
“More slack!” Cas ordered as he got closer.
Cas removed his work gloves to check the victims pulse.
“He’s in full cardiac arrest!” Cas shouts out, communicating.
Cas finishes what Dean had going. Connecting the loops around the victims arms and legs making a makeshift harness.
“Okay, lift him up!” Cas calls out.
The victim slowly rising as Gab, Michael and Raphael pulled the rope lifting the victim up.
“Dean, can you hear me man?” Cas asked, trying to lift Dean onto the lift.
He didn’t respond. He was out cold.
Cas furrowed his brow as he grew concerned for his friend.
“Okay, lift him up!” Cas ordered.
Cas seen the original victim made it over the ledge safely. And Dean began to slowly rise up to the top.
Once everyone was safely up, they got Cas up as well.
Cas helped with the cardiac victim while Charlie and the others assisted with Dean.
Y/N sat at the nurses station charting her days work about ready to head home when an ambulance and squad approached the door.
She quickly typed up her report, saving it and sending it to her Director, she went to assist the paramedics.
Her heart dropped when she saw one of the patients being wheeled in.
“Dean.”
“Patient one was DOA, heart attack. Dean has a fever of 104.” Cas says.
“Okay, there’s an exam room open, lets get him in there. I’ll page Dr. Singer.”
“Where’s Jack?” Cas asked.
“He’s sick too. He was about to treat Kelly and Chuck when he collapsed. His fever is 103 and climbing.”
“How is Chuck?”
“Not doing well. Let’s focus on Dean please.” Y/N said, keeping the tears of fear at bay.
Dean was all settled in a room later that night.
“Y/N.” Bobby says as he entered Dean’s room.
“Dr. Singer.”
“Your director doesn’t want you treating him. It’s against ethics.”
“I know. I’m off the clock.”
“Then what are you still doing here?”
“Oh, forgive me for staying by my boyfriend’s side.”
“Y/N, you’re D.O.N is on the other side of the this door. Relax.” He whispered.
“Bobby, I can’t think straight right now. I want to stay by his side, if that’s alright.”
“You can’t just stop everything because he’s sick. The CDC got back to us on the virus, you know this. It’s a strain of the Asian flu, a newer mutated strain. We have a drug we can use.”
She sighs, rubbing her face hard, trying to not get frustrated with herself.
“I know. I just want to know he’s going to be okay is all.”
“You love him. I know. But you have to still live life. Because that don’t stop. You got to keep going kid.”
She nods. “I’m guessing I can’t stay with him due to isolation protocol.”
“You got it. but once he’s better, you can.” She nods again.
“Please, keep me in the loop with him.”
“I’m sure Meg will. Cas was already on her case about him.”
She chuckles with a nod.
“Go home and rest. He’ll still be here tomorrow.”
She nods, leaving with a slump in her shoulders. Heading to her car. Driving quietly home.
It wasn’t until she got out of her shower, and laid in her empty bed did she let her walls come crumbling down.
A sob escaped from her, shaking her to her core.
“God, Dean. Please be okay.” She sobbed.
The next day, she heads into work trying to focus on her patients.
She learned from one of the over night nurses that Chuck passed away.
Her anxiety already being high enough with her boyfriend being sick with the same virus, but the same virus that killed a fireman.
She headed up to Dean’s room where Meg walked out. Sweating after being in her PPE for some period of time.
“How is he?” she asks.
“Not good. His fever is not even breaking. He had the first 100 Milligrams of Idoxuridine.”
“Has it been two hours?”
“Close, it’s been about an hour and fifty minutes since last dose.”
“Give him another dose of it. Same for Jack if he’s not getting better.”
“Sure thing, I’m sure Bobby will understand.”
Y/N nodded as Meg went back inside to give Dean another dose of the drug.
Y/N headed back to the nurses station to chart her first half of the shift when her D.O.N approached the desk.
“Y/N, I was told you were by Dean’s room yet again. This time on the clock.”
“Sorry Jody, I just—”
“It’s okay, really. Bobby can be a hard ass sometimes, and I know I can be too. But my husband gets sick really easily. And I’d do the same thing you’re doing.” She says.
“Thank you…” she hesitates.
“I have your replacement coming in so you can see him and be with him. Once Donna gets here, go to him.”
“Thank you, thank you.” She says, as tears rise to the surface.
“It’s not a problem.” Jody smiles.
Days pass as the doctors and nursing staff cared for Dean and Jack for the virus.
Y/N stayed day and night, her D.O.N giving her the week off on FMLA.
She had lost track of the days when she finally allowed herself to sleep.
Kelly was fully recovered and the doctors and nursing staff encouraged her to donate some blood so they can use her antibodies in her blood to donate to Dean and Jack so they have a fighting chance.
His fever finally broke, he was getting better. She could close her eyes and he’d still be there.
She woke that night to a hand on her head, playing with her hair.
She stirred awake to find Dean awake and well.
“Hey.” She says tiredly.
“Hey.”
“How are you feeling?”
“Like I’ve been hit by a truck.” He answers. “Babe, did you stay here all day?”
“Dean, it’s been a week. You’ve been out for a week.”
“Damn…but still, you’ve been here all week?”
“Yes. You scared me.” She says. Taking his hand and placing it on her cheek.
His thumb brushing against her cheekbone. Catching a tear that fell.
“Well I’m sorry for scaring you. But you’re worrying me, did you take care of yourself while you were here?”
“Not really. Haven’t been hungry. I’m not sick or anything.”
“I know, you’ve told me that you’ll get this way. Either in a good way, like an innocent way of binging your favorite show and forgot to eat. Or in a bad way, like this.”
“Let me get Meg and tell her you’re awake.”
Just as she says that, Meg comes walking in.
“Jack’s awake…oh Dean’s awake too.” She says.
“Yeah, he is.” Y/N Says tiredly.
“I’ll get Dr. Singer so we can see when you can go home. And get Y/N to a bed, she hasn’t slept much since she stayed here.”
“Really, not eating or sleeping.”
“She was worked up. who could blame her?” Meg asked.
“True.”
Meg left the room to get Bobby.
Dean not saying a word, pulls Y/N’s arm guiding her in the bed with him.
She happily got in, curling into his side.
He felt a residual tremble shudder through her body.
“Shh, I’m here baby. I’m not going anywhere.” He says.
Not even a tiny virus would tear up this team.

Virago 12. Too Good to be True
Summary: Y/N was sent to the ground after spending five years in the Skybox for stealing medical supplies and murder. How will she deal with her new environment and learn to survive on earth? Will she crack under the pressure of becoming a leader of the 100 or will she embrace it.
Post Date: 08.21.20
Word count: 2.7k
Pairing: Bellamy Blake x Reader
Based off: 02x01 “The 48″
Masterlist
100 Master List
You wake up no longer covered dirt and grime and in clean white clothes. You search your surroundings to find any indication of where you are. You can see Harper in the room across from you and Monty in the room next to her. You then drift your eyes a little further to the right and see a large sign that says “Mount Weather Quarantine Ward”.
You quickly jiggle the handle to try to open the door but find that it’s locked from the outside. You try to communicate with Monty and Harper but you can barely hear them through the thick door. You start to pace around the room and wash your face to refresh yourself. You think of how you could get out as you sit along the wall.
After a few hours, you decide to look out the glass again to see if anyone has come around. You notice someone walking into the room where Monty was. You jiggle the handle once more even though you knew it was locked. The next thing you see is glass flying outwards from the room beside yours and an arm reaches out to open the door.
You watch as you see Clarke emerge from the room with a bloody arm. She grabs a piece of glass and approaches the person before ripping the head part of their suit off, revealing a girl around the age of you guys. Clarke backs the girl up in the room out of your view. You frantically look around the room for something to break the glass on your door. You pick up the metal rod that holds the medical bags and smash it against the window of your door. As soon as you reach to the door handle you cut yourself on the glass in the same fashion Clarke had seemed to.
As you open the door you find that Clarke and the girl had disappeared. You go down the hallway to the right and wander around the massive compound. You find an elevator and press the button. Only to find that it doesn’t open. You try once more before noticing the red light show up on the side and realize that some sort of key card is needed. Knowing that the elevator won’t open you run around to look for another way to get to a different level.
As you run around sirens and lights start to go off, you keep running but are soon stopped by a group of people that seem like guards. You head the opposite direction before being stopped once more by another group of guards. You try to slip by them but they catch you. You struggle and fight as they start to drag you off.
You find yourself taken to some sort of med bay. As soon as they lead you in you see Clarke sitting on a bed with restraints around her wrists. The guards set you on the bed beside her and restraint your wrists as well.
“I see you got out the same way I did,” Clake whispers to you looking at the cut on your arm.
“How else would I. Do you know why we’re here or who else is here?” You ask.
“No, but we need to find out,” She responds back.
“Agreed,” You say back before hearing the door open and noticing a group of people walk in.
“Hello, Clarke and Y/N. How are your arms?” A woman with a white coat on asks. You and Clarke stay silent not wanting to talk to anyone but your friends.
“They’re not talkers, are they?” She says after a few moments of silence as the people make their way over to us.
“A skill picked up from the savages, no doubt. That’s fine. Maya has something to say first anyway.” The white-haired man says while gesturing to the girl who Clarke threatened.
“You two were the next ones to be cleared through quarantine. Another 10 minutes and you would have--” She says getting pissed before the white-haired man stops her from outbursting. “I’m not pressing charges on you, Clarke,” She says quieter.
“Thank you, Maya. You can get your treatment now. Restraints aren’t necessary,” The man says to another standing to the side.
“Yes, Mr. President,” The other man says and starts to take yours and Clarke’s restraints off.
“Dante Wallace,” The white-haired man holds his hand out to Clarke. She takes his hand and holds it to look at the smudges on his hand. “Oil paint. That’s right. You’re an artist too.” He then moves to you and holds out his hand, but you don’t move a muscle.
“Who told you that?” Clarke questions getting up from her bed.
“Your people did. They also said you two were their leaders. Looks like you two and I have a lot in common, kiddos,” The man says as you stand up next to Clarke.
“Where’s my watch?” Clarke asks.
“And where’s my necklace?” You ask concerned as well while feeling around your neck for your mom’s necklace. You forgot you had the necklace as you had never taken it off since she gave it to you. But now that its gone, your chest feels almost naked.
“I’m sorry...but we can’t let contaminated items inside Mount Weather. We couldn’t risk it. Our protocol is very strict, Clarke and Y/N. We prioritize safety over sentimentality,” Dante explains.
“So you just left the last thing I had from my parents out there?!” You say raising your voice. You feel Clarke’s hand grip your wrist knowing that she wants you to calm down.
“How many of us did you capture?” Clarke asks next.
“48, including you two. But you guys have got it all wrong. You’re not prisoners. We saved you,” Dante explains.
“Well, in that case, you won’t mind if we leave. If there are 48 of us here, we still have people out there,” You respond.
“Patrol brought in who they could find,” Dante explains.
“What about the Ark? It came down last night--” Clarke asks.
“We saw it. There were multiple crash sites over 100 square miles. If there were survivors, we will bring them in too. You have my word,” Dante explains.
“We want to see our people,” You tell him.
“Of course you do. I would too,” He responds before gesturing to a wardrobe like thing two men roll in. They open it up to display clothes and jewelry. “Change and meet me in the hall,” He tells us before walking away.
You and Clarke go up to inspect the items, clearly in awe as you two have never seen anything as pristine as the jewelry and clothes they had. You notice Clarke pick up one of the shoes and break off the heel. She hands it to you and picks up the second one to do the same.
The two of you change into comfortable clothing, you pick out a gray tank, black jacket, and pair of grey pants. After you guys are dressed you make your way into the hall, into a very loud room.
“Sorry about the noise. Hydroelectric power from Philpott Dam. Fresh water from our own underground reservoir. Fresh food from our hydroponic farm,” Dante explains as we make our way down the hall.
“I don’t understand. You’re on the ground. You know its survivable. Why would you stay here?” Clarke asks.
“It’s not survivable for us,” Dante answers back.
“The grounders seem to have managed.” You add.
“Natural selection works. The grounders who couldn’t survive in the radiation didn’t. Those who could pass on their DNA. For better or for worse, here, we never went through that process,” Dante explains.
“Neither did we. We’ve been on the ground now for…” Clarke starts.
“Solar radiation,” You interrupt.
“Very good. Your DNA ran the same gauntlet as the grounders. Only because radiation levels in space are even higher...your ability to metabolize that radiation is even stronger. Truth be told, our scientists were blown away by the efficiency of your systems. If not for that, your friends would still be upstairs in quarantine. Please.” Dante gestures to an elevator for you and Clarke to step in.
You and Clarke make your way into the elevator after two men walked in. The door starts to close until Dante stops it, “First, give me the heel. Both of you,” You were reluctant to do so until you noticed Clarke pull hers out of her sleeve and you soon followed and handed it to him.
“You’re not fighting for your life anymore. You’ve made it. Welcome to Mount Weather.” Dante says before the elevator door closes. The elevator moves until you arrive at level five.
“Your packet contains everything you need to know about Mount Weather. Which, I promise, is not as confusing as the map on page one makes it out to look. You came from level three, which houses our medical facility, including quarantine--” You hear a woman explain as you and Clarke make your way over to the group.
“Clarke! Y/N!” Monty says running towards the two of you. He hugs you both and the rest of the group turns towards you guys. Jasper soon follows in the hugging.
“Finn?” Clarke asks.
“And Bellamy?” You ask quickly after.
“Clarke, Y/N, they uh… they didn’t make it,” Jasper says as his voice gets lower.
“We don’t know that,” Clarke says hoping to calm Jasper and your nerves. “What about Raven?” She questions next, but Monty just looks down indicating she wasn’t here as well.
“Welcome, Clarke, and Y/N.” The woman speaking before says and hands you both an info packet. “If you have any questions, I’m Keenan,” She introduces herself.
After you guys had gone through orientation they announce that lunch is ready. You sit with Jasper and Monty as they dive into the food. You’re hesitant at first but after realizing how hungry you were, you start to eat. Monty and Jasper come back with desserts in hand. They dive in as well but you stopped after the main course.
“Sit down and pretend you’re happy to see me,” Clarke whispers after Jasper and Monty and a little dessert standoff.
“We are happy to see you. You have to try the chocolate cake,” Monty offers as the three of them sit down.
“Oh, it is so on,” Jasper says clearly salty that Monty offered it to Clarke and not him.
“I’m not eating their food,” Clarke states. “Look. They gave us a map with no exits. Tell me everything you’ve seen. Every room. Every hallway. Every way out.” Clarke says as she points to the map.
“‘Way out.’” Jasper repeats. “Look around, Clarke. There’s no one hunting us here. First time in our lives we’re not hungry. Why would we want to leave?” Jasper questions, clearly being happy here.
“Because we have friends out there who need our help,” You add-in.
“They’re looking for survivors. And they’re way better equipped to find them than we are,” Monty points out.
“This place is too good to be true,” Clarke states.
“You’re bumming me out. I’m gonna get more cake,” Jasper says and gets up. You and Clarke watch as Jasper talks to Maya. Soon enough Clarke gets up from her seat and makes her way over to the two.
“So do you agree with Clarke? That this place is too good to be true?” Monty asks, getting your attention.
“Yes...Maybe,” You respond clearly not knowing where you stand. “I just think they should let us out there if we want to. I can’t stand knowing that our people are still out there.” You continue.
“You mean Bellamy?” Monty says. You sharply inhale having been caught off guard by Monty’s question.
“And Octavia. And the others,” You quickly respond.
“Oh come on. Anyone with eyes can see you two care more for each other than anyone else.” Monty states taking another bite of his cake.
“I care for our people. And Bellamy is one of them,” You say pushing off Monty’s comment. Soon after you start hearing sirens and see lights go off again. You notice Jasper and Maya run off and follow after them.
“What’s going on?” You ask the two as you all run.
“Clarke took my keycard,” Maya states. Soon enough you catch up to Clarke finding her at a big door.
“Clarke, no. If you pull that lever, these people will die. Even a little radiation could kill them,” Jasper says catching her attention.
“Don’t make me shoot you,” Maya says popping up beside you with a gun in hand.
“Wait, wait,” Jasper says stepping in front of Maya and turning to Clarke. “Don’t do this,” He says to her.
“I don’t believe them,” Clarke says upset.
“Why would they lie?” Jasper questions her. “Listen to me, We are safe here. Because of you and Y/N, we’re safe.” Jasper says looking between you and Clarke.
“Not all of us,” You add-in.
“I’m the one that fired the rockets. Should I not have done that? Clarke...when you pulled that lever, you saved lives. Don’t throw that away by pulling this one.” Jasper says as you hear his voice shake.
Clarke lets go of the lever as a group of guards make their way in and take Clarke into custody. The other guards take you and Jasper to the room where you all were staying in. It was filled with enough beds to house all of you.
“I’m glad you’re all alright,” Monty says hugging you and Jasper.
“Better if we could leave,” You snarkily respond under your breath.
“Well, I’m just glad we all together,” Harper says making her way to you guys.
“Not all of us. They won’t let us leave to look for our own people,” You respond getting upset. But no one responds.
“Dinner is ready. Get dressed in nice clothes” A guard at the doorway says. They escort us to the dining room after we get dressed and have us all hold hands as Dante speaks some words.
To your surprise, you notice Clarke eat their food after you all sit down. Either she’s playing get along or they told her something to convince her you really are safe, you think to yourself. After dinner, you are escorted back to your room. You watch as everyone settles in and actually looks happy for a change.
“A little gift from Dante?” You ask Clarke as you notice her looking at a card and object that was on a chair.
“Yeh let’s see what it is.” She says as she lifts the lid to display some art materials.
“Looks like Dante has really taken a liking to you,” You chuckle.
“Yeh,” She chuckles back. For the rest of the night you sit and chat with Monty and Jasper.
“So, we never finished the conversation about you and Bellamy,” Monty says.
“What is there to finish? As I said, he’s one of our people and we need to find them,” You state back.
“Ooo, what is this, You and Bellamy thing you guys are talking about?” Jasper butts in.
“It’s nothing,” You respond.
“Nothing my ass. Jasper, can you agree with me that Bellamy and Y/N here clearly care for each other a lot more than anyone else?” Monty asks Jasper.
“I care for all of you, equally,” You quickly respond getting defensive.
“Well...now that I think about it...you two do seem like you’re always together,” Jasper states.
“You know what. If you two don’t believe me. Then I’m just gonna go see what’s up with Clarke,” You say getting up.
“Oh don’t be like that Y/N. We’ll let it go, never talk about it again,” Monty says throwing up his arms.
“Uh-huh,” You respond making your way to Clarke. You find her sitting on her bed, sketching something.
“So how are you liking those art supplies?” You ask her as you climb up to her bed.
“They’re great. Better than any I’ve had on the Ark,” She responds as you sit next to her. As you look over to what she was sketching. She was sketching on the map that was given to us, labeling where she believes places are that were unmarked.
“Well, I’ll leave you to it,” You smile at her, hoping that she’ll keep you in the loop. You make your way back to your bed and lay down ignoring every attempt Monty makes to try and talk to you.
A/N: So what do you think Y/N is gonna do now that she’s stuck in Mount Weather?? Also, I know I just added the necklace in randomly but I liked the idea, please lmk if you guys would like a bonus chapter of a flashback to her receiving it, id be more than happy to do that! I hope you guys enjoyed this part and are excited to see what happens next. I have lots of ideas and plans for Y/N, for Season 2!
