Spoilers for the 100
I love rewatching shows and going through how all the characters end up like:
- You and your partner sacrifice your time to save humanity and end up dying together of old age
- You kill yourself having a massive party to mark the apocalypse (you could have lived if you wanted but your girlfriend was murdered and you became a depressed alcoholic)
- You almost make it to the end but you become a religious fanatic, shoot your best friend/possible romantic interest and then die
- You save all of humanity until right up to the end when you doom them forever, after raising the child that survives the apocalypse
- You become a cannibalistic warlord and somehow this saves the human race. Then you raise a child with another ex-murderous leader in a pocket dimension before returning to finish saving humanity
- You become the saviour of humanity and lose the use of one of your legs because you were the only one to not go off and kill people or cause war
- You die far too soon as part of a peace treaty after you murder half a village trying to find the girl you’re in love with (a tad dramatic if you ask me (the murdering half a village to find the girl you’re in love with part that is))
- You somehow turn good and make it to the end of the show with your girlfriend. Both of you used to be murderous psychopaths and assassins
- You get your mind wiped, your body taken over and then get ejected into space
- You get murdered by a little girl told to face her demons
- You live a fairly long life causing a fuckton of suffering (keep your leaders away from insane AI people, please) and are eventually stabbed by an enemy soldier
-You redeem yourself, suffer fatal injuries, have your consciousness transferred into another body and then eject yourself after giving one of the greatest final lines of a tv show ever
- You survive the whole show after honestly not doing that much for a large portion of it but still being involved in all the plans, battles and world ending disasters
Incase you were unaware I’m talking about the 100. Prize for anyone that can tell me who’s who. Please note these are all characters from SkaiKru that are in the first couple of episodes (plus references to Harper, Echo and Miller) as that’s all I’ve rewatched so far.

And the winner is…
@probably-voldemort !!!
CONGRATULATIONS! You were an unstoppable force in this competition, writing everything from a Dancing Disaster (and reminding us why we all love Clurphy) to a Linctavia revengeful fantasy pet tale to demons in a cozy library (with a great new pairing of Jasper and Josephine) to dropping Annie and Finnick from The Hunger Games(!!!!) into The 100 Universe to see how they fare! That’s four (4!) fics and over 18k words during the weeks of this competition! You deserve the title of TROPED MADNESS CHAMPION! Congratulations!
Check out all the fics below:
'til our fingers decompose (keep my hand in yours)
QR/R1 | Rated T | The 100 | John Murphy x Clarke Griffin | 5.9k
Summary: Murphy's existence post-Disappearance was pretty bleak. Sure, he had his own bakery, and, yeah, he didn't have to worry about his mom's drinking anymore, or studying for math tests, but the fire that came from his hands had blistered and burned his skin beyond any repair that even the best training that any of the kids with babysitter first aid could do and had left them useless and constantly in pain. He couldn't do the baking for his store, or even wash his hair.
And then Clarke came to town!
karma is a cat (purring in my lap cause it loves me)
R2 | Rated T | The 100 | Lincoln kom Trikru | 3.7k
Summary: Once upon a time, Octavia would have been happy with getting a pet kitten from her brother for her birthday. Thrilled, even. But that was before a hydra attacked their apartment, and she and Bellamy were whisked away to a summer camp because apparently their dads were gods? Now, her pet aspirations were more along the lines of unicorns and chimeras and hyrdas. Cool, tough pets that a daughter of the God of War could ride into battle.
So the fact that her brother still bought her a fucking kitten? Well, who to better help with taking revenge on Bellamy than a son of Nemesis herself?
drank with the devil (and forgot my name)
R3 | Rated T | The 100 | Jasper Jordan & Josephine Lightborn | 3.3k
Summary: Summoning a demon was on purpose. Having the demon possess Clarke was an accident. But Josie swears she's only here to honour their deal, and, really, could Jasper have a better wingman than a demon?
soon it will be over (and buried with our past)
R4| Rated M | The Hunger Games | Finnick Odair x Annie Cresta | 5.4k
Summary: A technical malfunction of the Anomaly leaves Annie stranded in the Games for over three years instead of a month. Will she be able to find peace after the Games? Or will she lose herself to the will of the Capital?
All fics for Madness can be found here! Thanks for hanging out with us and happy writing! Don’t forget to keep your eyes peeled for info about Troped Timeloop, and a new Trope Exchange Event, coming soon!

7 Valuable Root Chakra Affirmations for Grounding and Prosperity
Tumblr media
7 Valuable Root Chakra Affirmations for Grounding and Prosperity
13 Oct
Written By Jordan
Explore your first chakra's attributes, learn to maintain its balance, and unlock its potential through activation techniques and affirmations.
Dear Spirited Earthling,
Your first chakra is the foundation upon which your others are built. It is named Muladhara in Sanskrit, which means ‘root system’ and is now commonly known as the root chakra.
This chakra is at the base of the spine and is the closest to the Earth. It represents our connection to the physical world. The root chakra relates to our basic right to be here and to have. It is linked to us feeling grounded, secure, and having our basic needs met.
Interesting Attributes of the Root Chakra
Colour red
Earth element
Forms our physical identity
Focuses on self-preservation
Counterforce is fear
Living with an Open and Balanced Root Chakra
When your root chakra is open and balanced, you feel connected to the earth, present physically, grounded and stable.
Because this chakra oversees our physical body, our overall physical health, immune system, and vitality are linked to it. You feel comfortable in your body when your root chakra is open. Feeling grounded and stable allows us to trust the process as we move through life’s challenges and happy surprises. To be grounded is to have inner strength and emotional stability.
The root chakra is our lowest chakra, where our basic needs need to be met for us to believe we can survive. We need food, shelter, and safety. This means our root chakra influences our sense of survival and protection.
This chakra is also linked to abundance and wealth. When our root chakra is balanced, we feel deserving of prosperity and success in different aspects of life.
Living with a Closed and Unbalanced Root Chakra
When your root chakra is unbalanced, inactive or underactive you likely feel disconnected from the earth, unsafe, fearful, insecure and have low confidence.
An over activated root chakra encourages an unnecessary focus on material possessions, greed and stubbornness.
When you think of a house, your root chakra is your foundation. If all your energy is focused on the foundation, there isn’t enough shared with the rest of your house where you can succeed in other parts of life. If all your energy is focussed elsewhere, you’re living on the upper floors only - but without a strong base, you will always feel like a collapse is imminent.
Activating and Balancing Root Chakra
To open, activate, and balance your root chakra look at practices that connect you to the earth and your body – earthing, physical exercise, time in nature, boosting your confidence, meditation, energy healing, work with grounding crystals (e.g., red jasper, hematite), say affirmations.
7 Valuable Root Chakra Affirmations for Grounding and Prosperity
These valuable root chakra affirmations for grounding and prosperity can open, activate, and balance your first chakra.
Depending on what you need, you’ll be opening your root chakra or sharing energy with other energy points. These affirmations encourage balancing the root chakra.
I am here. I love being in my body.
The earth supports me, nourishes me, and nurtures me.
I trust in the goodness of life.
I let go of fear and know I am eternally safe.
I am abundant and know I have everything I need.
I am safe, centered, and grounded.
I am able to create a wonderful life, and a better world.
Choose affirmations that resonate with you the most. There is one for each day of the week or one to focus on for the next 7 weeks.
Bonus Affirmations for Root Chakra
Here are an extra 10 affirmations for you to choose from:
I am grounded, stable, and secure in my body and in the world around me.
I trust in the process of life and know that I am always supported and protected.
I am rooted in the present moment, allowing myself to fully experience each moment with peace and calmness.
I release my fears and insecurities, knowing that I am safe and protected at all times.
I am worthy of abundance, prosperity, and success in all areas of my life.
I honour my body and treat it with love, respect, and care.
I am deeply connected to the Earth, drawing strength and stability from its energy.
I have a strong foundation that supports the manifestation of my goals and dreams.
I embrace change and adapt easily to new circumstances, knowing that I am resilient and capable.
I am deeply rooted, yet flexible, allowing life to flow through me with ease and grace.

my tribute to the wonderful and legendary jasper jordan
(Disclaimer: English isn't my mother tongue, so I already apologize for any mistakes) Jasper Jordan deserves - or rather now - deserved better.
And you might agree - you might be sad about the fact that Jasper died or you might be unaffected - hell, I've read enough comments about people wanting Jasper to die, because they thought he's annoying. Annoying. Fuck - that's just - actually that's messed up. But this isn't about the people that have hated or still hate on Jasper, this tribute is dedicated to this wonderful fictional character I learned to love and appreciate.
We got to know Jasper as this funny, dorky guy in S1 - people loved him for being positive, for being funny, for being naive, but brave at the same time. People loved him in S1, because he was easy to love. Because positive, funny people are easy to love - you seem them smile and they make you smile - and what's there not to love?
S2 Jasper - yeah, he was inspiring, wasn't he? He was so fucking brave, he stood up for himself, for his friends in Mount Weather, he took the lead, because Clarke or Bellamy weren't there - and he was motivating everyone else. S2 Jasper was inspiring people to do something, S2 Jasper was brave and fierce and - and he fell in love with this wonderful girl named Maya - and then everything went downhill from there. Everyone in Mount Weather died, Maya died - and Jasper - Jasper felt so safe in Mount Weather, he felt at peace, safe - 'till he didn't.
Because while we got to know Jasper as this funny, dorky guy in S1 - people tend to forget what actually happened to him in S1. This boy is 16 years old and he was kidnapped by grounders and speared - he almost died. His friends died - and there was danger everywhere - but Jasper continued to be strong, continued to be this funny, dorky guy that people easily loved. He almost died again later, when Murphy threatened to kill him - so Jasper was constantly in danger, he was constantly on the edge of death, but people tend to forget that, because in S2 everything seems to be okay with Jasper - right? Because it didn't affect him at all - and that's where people are so wrong.
Jasper suffered from PTSD - and this is canon - end of discussion. And his portray of PTSD was so real and raw and it's actually sad that people only view it as annoying. Jasper didn't suddenly "get depressed", because of a girl "he just met". I've read this so so many times and I can't believe people can misinterpret a character and their storyline so heavily. This 16 year old boy went through so much, daily, they were basically at war  - he was on the edge of death - daily - at the age of 16 !!! - and if that's not fucking traumatizing. But - I think what really affected him was that he thought Mount Weather would be safe. That they could be at peace and safe - that they could eat as much chocolate cake as they want and he could flirt with this cute girl from across the room - but as it turns out - he was never safe. The people in Mount Weather betrayed them and in the end his own people betrayed Jasper - or at least that's how Jasper felt. And as Jasper said, they went to earth to see if it's survivable - and from what he's seen - it's not.
We're at S3 now - and when I look back, I've always loved Jasper, but you know what, if I'm being honest - I really fell in love with Jasper in S3. And that's pretty ironic, because people hated on Jasper constantly at that point. And why? Because he couldn't deal with what happened and tried to cope with alcohol? Because he felt betrayed by his closest friends? Because the girl he fell in love with died in his arms and he couldn't do anything about it? Because this sixteen year old boy suffered from so much trauma and never really experienced safety on earth? Because he suffers from a real and valid mental illness - PTSD? Because all I've read - all these arguments are "Jasper should just get over it", "they all went through something traumatic" - but that's the thing - Jasper isn't everyone else. And you should never expect everyone to deal with their trauma the same way you do. You should never expect someone, who went through hell, to just get over it - and you should never expect Jasper to just get over it, because there are people on the show that went through something similar and are not as affected as Jasper was.
And you might say that S3 Jasper is just "a drunken idiot", annoying, broken, useless - I don't care what ugly word you want to throw at him - but you know what? Jasper protected Raven, he actually saved her. Jasper - the apparently annoying, useless mess that you wanted dead - saved and rescued Raven. Jasper was a hero.
And it's funny, because people call Jasper selfish, self-absorbed and annoying - and I could never see that. Jasper is one of the most caring and loving people on the show and if you want to disagree - fine - but we saw Jasper, while he was positive and dorky - and he helped people, cared about them and showed bravery - and we saw Jasper, while he felt broken and while he drank himself to unconciousness - and he still cared about people, saved Raven, tried to comfort Octavia after Lincoln died or Monty after his mum died - but so many people still had the nerve to call him selfish. Because he can't just suck it up or act like he's fine? Because he's not like every other character?
But while you view him as an annoying character and hate him for acting like this - I just love him more. And just as Devon said - you shouldn't hate on Jasper, because he's hard to deal with right now - you should love him for that - you should want to help him, try to show empathy, try to understand him and everything he's been through.
Because while Jasper might be a fictional character - PTSD and depression are still valid and real mental illnesses. And some people might identify with Jasper - and seeing him - this representation - might help them. There might be many Jaspers out there - and the fact that people have the nerve to call him annoying, because he can't cope with everything the way the other characters did - well that's beyond fucked up.
But you know what? I feel sorry for you. I feel sorry if you can't love a character like Jasper, if you can't see his complexity and the beauty of this character and the importance of his storyline. I don't need to see perfect and well-collected characters on TV - I don't need to see characters that always do what's right and I don't need to see characters that never make mistakes. Because that's not realistic. It wouldn't portray the reality.
Jasper is a good person, he has a big heart, he's selfless, brave, loving, passionate, open-minded and he cherishes freedom more than any other character. Jasper is someone, who wouldn't force his opinion onto you - and he wouldn't judge you for yours. Jasper doubts himself and he's insecure, he blames himself for not being able to just act fine - and yes, Jasper is suicidal and he suffers from PTSD - and Jasper will probably die tonight - but Jasper isn't his mental illness and Jasper will always be more than his death, Jasper will always be more than annoying and Jasper will always be more than this dorky, funny guy in S1 that everyone apparently misses.
Jasper deserves better. Jasper deserved better. And we deserved to see him getting better, we deserved to see him overcome this - we deserved to see him smiling, him being close, best friends with Monty again - Jasper Jordan is maybe 17 years old now and he deserved so much more than that - and I really hoped we would've seen more of his journey, because his storyline, his arc could've been truly meaningful - but the writers apparently don't agree.
But you know what - Jasper Jordan is legendary and amazing nevertheless - he'll always be a hero and a great character in my view.
And at this point I also wanted to thank Devon for portraying Jasper - thank you for getting Jasper, for really trying to understand him and thank you for giving 100% every. single. time. - even when you just had limited screen time or too short scenes. Jasper will always be alive in our hearts, because you portrayed him so beautifully and because you tried to truly understand him in a way unfortunately many viewers couldn't.
And he might've not survived, but that's not what he wanted - because Jasper wanted to live - and he always will - in our hearts. :) Jasper Jordan is a legend. See you on the other side, my friend.

Like i get it, Jasper got delusional thinking he could have killed wallace, but that's what ptsd does to a person. You don't anymore have ability to see or accept things as they are.
But boy, don't tell me he didn't deserve better ending.

Look. I know The 100 has been over for a while now. But I just finished it, and I desperately want to rant. Specifically, I wanted to rant about Clarke and how she was treated.
Here goes:
I didn’t recognize Clarke Griffin in season 7. Not even a little bit. She was like a totally different character, and if I’m being honest, I absolutely hated her. Which sucked, because her seasons 1-6 self is probably one of my favorite characters of all time.
But I do not understand why so many people chose to live with Clarke at the end. Actually, I don’t understand why any of them chose to live with Clarke. Not a single person. I just don’t.
Don’t get me wrong, I love the relationships Clarke has in fanon, but it just feels like the actual canon of the show went out of its way, over and over and over again, to isolate Clarke, and force the other characters to leave her that way. Which made the final scene seem cheap and completely unearned. I just couldn’t believe that all those characters would give up immortality for Clarke. I wanted to believe it. I just couldn’t.
If the show had done a better job of building those relationships with Clarke, and hadn’t completely assassinated her character in season 7, maybe I wouldn’t feel this way. But the Clarke Griffin of season 7 was selfish, short-sighted, and nothing at all like the Clarke Griffin that I was rooting for for the first six seasons. The Clarke I loved was smart, wily, and a bit manipulative, yes, but willing to put others before herself to the point where she nearly died several times over. I would follow seasons 1-6 Clarke to the ends of the earth. But I absolutely wouldn’t for the season seven version of Clarke, and I don’t blame Madi for not wanting to give up immortality for her pseudo-mother/abuser (especially after Clarke was so willing to murder her (!!)).
They emphasized all of Clarke’s worst traits, most notably those from season 5, when she resorted to literal child abuse to “save” Madi. I thought that had been addressed in season 6. I guess it wasn't, because Clarke is once again smashing helmets and making decisions for Madi without her consent in season 7. Worst of all, this character regression is more or less for no reason other than to point at Clarke and say “see! you’re an idiot for investing yourself in this character! she was the bad guy all along!! pLoT TwiSt!”
But, for me, it goes beyond badly-handled character arcs and unbelievable developments.
First off, after spending six seasons framing more or less every choice Clarke makes as “the right choice”, the “only choice”, or at least “justified”, suddenly... that’s all wrong? Hasn’t Clarke spent enough time torturing herself over Mt. Weather/Jasper/Lexa/Finn? Why does some judge that we never get any real information on get to say that everything Clarke did was for nothing?
So, Clarke gets exiled from immortality? Fine. But they should have at least celebrated her, as well. She’s the main character of a long-running TV show, and this is the finale. People are invested in her. They don’t want to hear what a terrible person she is, and how she failed in each and every way (even if she sort of did). They want to hear that she was good, brave, strong, or at least that her actions mattered. But, apparently, they didn’t, because not only is humanity extinct (which... completely misses the point of the entire show, but that’s another rant), but so is everyone Clarke loves. Yippee.
Second: if The 100 wanted it’s happy, found family, everybody-is-forgiven-and-there-are-no-consequences, beach scene so badly, here’s what I think they should have done: brought back Abby, Kane, Finn, Wells, Lexa (for real this time), Lincoln, Jasper, Monty, Anya, Harper, Bellamy, and heck, even Jake for the final scene. I know I’m forgetting others, but this would have a) brought a new meaning to “may we meet again”, and b) would have let Clarke and everyone else live out the rest of her life with people she actually bonded with. But, if I’m being honest, I thought the entire plot and “ascension” was stupid in the first place, especially because they already did that in season three.
I’m just so mad about what they did to Clarke, and to the entire show. If I had known it would end this way, I wouldn’t have bothered. What a waste of time.

this is a place where i don’t feel alone (this is the place where i feel at home).
Summary: When you’re born in the sleepy little town of Ark, Colorado, you’re either smart enough to get yourself out, or you die there. People get bored, and people make bad choices. Which leaves a lot of kids fending for themselves. And this is where David Miller came in.
Or David Miller being a dad to all the delinquents
Pairing: Gen
The sleepy little town of Ark, Colorado had a population of just under one thousand. It had one church, one school, and one sheriff. Full of dirt roads, farms dotting the outskirts. They had a grocery store, a liquor store, a post office, one clothing store other than the Walmart, a diner, and a hospital. When you’re born in Ark, you’re either smart enough to get yourself out, or you died there.
People get bored, and people make bad choices. Which leaves a lot of kids fending for themselves.
And this is where David Miller came in.
Sheriff of Ark, David Miller lived in an old farmhouse about a mile from town up a dirt road. He and his wife had bought it, intending to fill its many rooms with many children. But life wasn’t often fair, leaving the house mostly empty with just David and his only son Nathan.
It was an accident that his home became a refuge of some sort.
As Nathan grew older and brought home friends and boyfriends, David always made sure that the kids of Ark felt welcomed. Nathan would tease him that his catchphrase was, “Our door is always open.” Because it was. As far as David was concerned, if a kid needed somewhere to go, his house was there.
The first was little Clarke Griffin.
