The signed poster my partner ordered from Streamily came in today.

Can't express how much I fucking love this. I knew they were ordering it for me, but had no idea what they were going to put in the prompt for Jason to sign. Which this hits so much harder now that the new epilogue is out. (Look guys, Touya's not dead actually, he promised.)

Day one of the con is done. Met the coolest people - some for the first time, some for the second. Jason Liebrecht called me sweetheart like 5 times and told me that he loved my Dabi art while he signed it 🥹

Zach Aguilar is just as sweet as Tanjiro is, so is Chris Wehkamp. J Michael Tatum and I had a great talk about how incredible Erwin and Scar are as characters, and Austin Tindle and I agreed that Knives did nothing wrong. I love them all. More cool people to come tomorrow.

I know and understand that it is a personal preference thing but I will never really understand the beef behind Dabi's Dub Voice. Jason Liebrecht does a great job at depicting Dabi's voice. In my mind as a character who quite literally burnt to death I would expect Dabi's voice to sound the way it does in the dub. Nothing against the Japanese Voice Actor Hiro Shimono, that man does a bang up job too but I wish the sub voice had a bit of a mangled vocal pattern as well. I don't know... just personal preference at the end of the day.

Upon meeting Midnight's voice actor today (she's so nice omg) and seeing their interactions with their partner, Jason Liebrecht (Dabi's VA, and honestly can u imagine being a fly on the wall at their home when they recorded the scene where Dabi kills Midnight? Oml) they are one of my OTPs. (I really hope they don't ever look at Tumblr posts.)

Jason said some of lines Midnight might say in Dabi's voice. I needed to touch some grass god damn.

It's also so perfect to be able to cosplay a character that doesn't really say anything when you have social anxiety. Like I'm not being anxious and/or rude, I'm being Canon.

Anyways I'm cosplaying Toge Inumaki.

It would be fun to post pictures of my cosplay but internet privacy. And I'm not about to post pictures of other cosplayers without their permission either. But instead have a photo from the mha panel today. (I took videos too, but my voice is present so no for you. I also have voice recordings but they're mine. I might pist them later idk)

(Also for anyone who originally followed me for Dabi x reader content, I'm gonna start it back up after I watch season 6. Gonna need to hug my new dabi body pillow when I watch it. Yours truly gonna cry. I'll still be posting redacted stuff, but mha will make a slow mixed in comeback.)

JASON DID SUCH AN FANTASTIC JOB, YOU CAN FEEL THE RANGE AND THE EMOTION OF ANGRY AND MADNESS ARE ALL THERE. GO TOUYA KING! 

I shed a a lot of tears because the iconic scene is here in the dub finally. This is one of my all time favorite chapters from the manga and the performance was so phenomenal.

I’m just so happy it’s dubbed now!!

So does anyone else notice how much Jason Liebrecht loves Dabi?

I follow him on Twitter and he constantly reposts and likes fan art of him (including one of my partner's pieces that they did for my OC and Dabi), and he's mentioned at panels and interviews just how much he relates to the character and how cathartic it is for him to play Dabi since he went through some of his own similar familial trauma.

Which I realize isn't unusual for voice actors at all, especially since Colleen Clinkenbeard is an amazing director who gives roles to people who are a lot like the characters they end up playing, but back when the chapters where Dabi was about to explode and Endeavor was about to pull a murder-suicide before Rei stepped in were coming out, Jason was liking posts about the leaks. Everyone was worried if Dabi would end up surviving for several weeks worth of chapters, and it seems like he was right there with the rest of us, and I've never really seen voice actors keep up with the manga for anime they're in, much less the leaks for the manga.

It's just nice to see someone so invested in the character they play like that, and he seems like a very sweet guy in person.

Between fist bumping and convincing Dabi's VA to come to Minnesota, to hearing Sukuna's VA growl my name and making him laugh, to being the first person to beat Megumi's VA in a dice game, I'll definitely never forget this incredible trip.
