when you finally finished your interview with emma chamberlin, you saw in the corner of your eye a man looking at you, smiling from ear to ear. you didn’t recognise him but by his looks you knew he was someone important. you walked up to him and smiled back, his cheeks were red and he struggled to hold your gaze now that you were in front of him.

"hi! first time here?" you asked, waving at him, "i’m y/n l/n." he smiled again and scratched his neck. "is it that obvious? and i know, i’m kinda your biggest fan, daniel ricciardo it’s nice meeting you." he shook the hand you were giving him and gave it a gentle squeeze, you didn’t fail to notice how big his hand was and how it engulfed yours. you laughed and put your hand against your heart. "oh really? what is your favorite work of mine?" you asked him, genuinely curious. you didn’t know why but you were drawn to his energy. he looked up and thought for a second before answering. "there is too many, but i really liked you in the marauders, couldn’t think of a better actress to play dorcas." you laughed and thanked him. "to be honest, it’s not my best work." he looked at you like you just said the most out of pocket thing in the world. "excuse you? you were amazing! you perfectly portrayed dorcas and the way you showcase emotions just with your eyes is just incredible! seriously you’re one of the best actresses out there and i-…" his eyes were full of sparkles, like a kid talking about his favorite football team, he stopped himself when he saw you look at him with a huge smile. his cheeks were even redder and he couldn’t look at you anymore. "i talk to much, right? i’m so sorry, i do that a lot." you brushed him off and patted his shoulder. "daniel, you’re adorable." he smiled fondly but before he could speak again, your agent came to you. "we have to go y/n, donatella is waiting for you." you nodded and waved at daniel. "it was great meeting you daniel, i hope to see you again soon!" he watched you leave and couldn’t wipe off the smile on his face, he knew how good looking you were but seeing you and talking to you in real life was different. from that small interaction only, daniel knew how much he was infatuated with you.

Like grandfather like grandson

John Constantine most often uses them and pays them pretty well. Like most of the Justice League Dark.

+ Ra's had a lot of joy talking with his grandson about different ideas and how to lead them, and seeing old assassins who died serving him and their ghosts had joined the cult "okay Madeline" group of his grandson. For a group of only four humans, they were pretty effective too as he read the report his spies found about them. Jasmine didn't seem to fully want to join it, but it's good to see she is still as strong as before.

+ Maddie joined it and gave tips for it; it was like when she was a child and before she left. She didn't want to be his heir; her father wouldn't die anyway. She has no idea why he wants a Heir anyway.

I love this idea! I literally went to New Orleans again over the weekend and it's fresh off my memory so this was a fun idea to write <3 Pairing: Remy LeBeau x Reader Prompt: Remy shows reader a fun, cute time in the French Quarter.

A walk Around the Quarter

The air hung thick with the scent of chicory coffee and powdered sugar, drawing Remy LeBeau and you deeper into the bustling heart of the French Quarter. The vibrant hues of Creole cottages and wrought iron balconies blurred past as Remy, ever the charming guide, navigated the labyrinthine streets with practiced ease. Each corner turned revealed a new treasure: a hidden courtyard overflowing with blooming jasmine, a street musician coaxing soulful melodies from a weathered saxophone, the tantalizing aroma of Cajun spices wafting from an open doorway.

"Welcome, cher," Remy announced with a flourish as you both emerged into the sun-drenched plaza fronting the iconic St. Louis Cathedral. "The crown jewel of New Orleans, and the perfect backdrop for our first touristy snapshot."

He winked and produced a camera seemingly from thin air, capturing your smiles against the majestic facade. Then, with a playful tug, he led you towards your ultimate destination.

"Prepare yourself," Remy warned with a grin. "For a taste of pure, unadulterated bliss."

Cafe du Monde, a bastion of beignet-fueled delight, awaited. The air thrummed with the lively chatter of patrons and the rhythmic clatter of trays laden with the irresistible pastries. Remy secured a coveted table, its marble top already dusted with a generous layer of powdered sugar. A street performer, drawn by your laughter, serenaded you both with a jaunty tune on his accordion, adding a touch of whimsy to the already enchanting atmosphere.

"Three beignets, s'il vous plait," Remy requested with a practiced charm that had the waitress returning in record time.

The beignets arrived, a trio of golden-brown pillows, their airy centers promising a symphony of flavor. Remy, a connoisseur of the finer things, demonstrated the proper technique: a delicate pinch, a generous dip in the accompanying mound of powdered sugar, and a bite that elicited a satisfied sigh.

"C'est magnifique, non?" he asked, his eyes twinkling with delight.

The afternoon unfolded in a leisurely haze of powdered sugar and laughter. You strolled through Jackson Square, admiring the vibrant works of local artists, and paused to listen to the soulful melodies of a street musician. Remy, ever the entertainer, even tried his hand at juggling, much to the amusement of onlookers. A horse-drawn carriage clopped past, its passengers waving merrily, and Remy couldn't resist doffing his hat with a flourish.

As the sun began to set, casting a warm glow over the Quarter, Remy and you found yourselves back at the St. Louis Cathedral. The plaza was bathed in a soft, ethereal light, creating a scene of undeniable romance. The street lamps flickered to life, casting dancing shadows on the ancient walls, and the distant sound of jazz music drifted on the breeze.

"One last photo, cher?" Remy asked, his voice a low murmur.

He captured the moment, your silhouettes framed against the cathedral's illuminated spires.

"But the night is still young," Remy said with a wink. "Care to hear some real New Orleans music?"

He led you down a dimly lit alley, the sound of a saxophone growing louder with each step. You emerged into a smoky jazz club, the air pulsating with the rhythm of the music. Remy took your hand and led you to the dance floor, where you twirled and swayed to the infectious beat. The music wrapped around you, a tapestry of notes and emotions, and you lost yourself in the moment, in Remy's eyes, in the magic of the night.

As the final notes faded, Remy pulled you close. "Merci," he whispered, his voice husky with emotion. "For sharin' dis perfect day with Remy."

The French Quarter, with its vibrant tapestry of sights, sounds, and flavors, had woven its magic. And at its heart, amidst the beignets, laughter, and the rhythm of the jazz, a connection had blossomed, leaving a trail of unforgettable memories in its wake.

Simple tutorial of how to turn a image into a badge with this ↓ effect in ibis paint x because my dumb ass took a lot of time for this shit and I didn't find any tutorial of this before

Step 1: Have a finished drawing or icon you have downloaded. Remember that badges or pins usually have a double outline (not counting the drawing lineart) so you may want to do it. Ft Jasmine's tiger (Rajah) badge I made for Kalim

Step 2: Multiply the layer that contains all the parts of your drawing. Yes, including the white outline — and final outline in case it's not pure black — because my dumb ass forgot this and I had to do it later. Then click the clipping button (in spanish this option is called "recorte")

Step 3: Click the button where it says "normal" in the copy. In trama you'll find options like diagonals, dots... I picked Diagonal-D L4 because it's the most similar one to twst bday badges imo

Step 4: Lower the multiplied layer opacity and done (I lowered it to 50%). Remember❗❗ Tramas can't be seen in pure white, use a slightly coloured white tone in the copy so it works

A new, very interesting review has popped up on Facebook—secrets of accent and underwear revealed!

"As promised, this is my review of last nights performance of Here in America. The Orange Tree has a real community theatre vibe which I prefer to the West End. It also gives the actors that "getting back to basics" feel where there is nowhere to hide from a bad performance.

I had read the play before seeing it, and was really interested in how it would be portrayed with such a minimal set. The two benches and some leaves were used so effectively, I was really impressed. No stage hands to assist, just the cast using props and a raised platform in the centre of the room.

As an ex actor myself, I will try to be as general as I can as otherwise I will be writing a book here! The first thing that struck me was just how close I was to the actors. I was in the front row, and found I couldnt even cross my legs without causing an obstruction. However, this meant that I could see every slight glance, a frown or smirk which really suits Shaun's style of gesture. I call it small acting.

Shaun is tiny! I have never really noticed this before, but when he is there less than metre away, I really became aware of it and this added to the vulnerability of Gadg. He really does play a tortured soul very well. A few times I caught him catching the audiences eye almost pleading with them to see his point of view, and this technique worked well. However, there was an accent slip a number of times, and I even detected a tiny bit of Scouse in one instant! There was also a feeling that he needed to relax into the scene, but that probably comes from him not working within this genre as often as TV.

Faye Castelow gave a good performance as the opinionated and uptight Day. She presented a character as wound tight as a drum, and I was expecting an angry outburst at any minute.

I was disappointed in Miss Bauer, the nickname used for Marilyn Monroe, played by Jasmine Blackborow. If you are going to present such an iconic character, you need to get the basics beyond the physicality right. There was none of the childlike vulnerability used as seduction or even the intelligence of Monroe. I know the character was used mostly as a narrator, but although it was a great idea, I'm not sure it worked.

Michael Aloni as Arthur Miller was the stand out performance. There was a strength and determination of Art that Aloni really delivered. His transformation was great too. Having watched many interviews of Miller over the years (I've been obsessed with Monroe since I was a small child) he really nailed the steely take no shit of the man.

Overall, I was enthralled throughout the play, and the 80mins seemed to fly by. At times, I laughed and other times I felt quite emotional about the position Gadg was put in, and it does leave you asking yourself "what would I do?" in that situation.

Back to our favourite man. Shaun is incredibly handsome in the flesh and has beautiful skin up close. However, he is alot shorter than I thought and appears quite delicate, although I know looks are deceiving! Definitely wears briefs not boxers (for those who may be wondering). I actually got a smile off of him which nearly took my breath away. I feel incredibly lucky to have seen him work up close, and hope for him to do more theatre as you could see he was quite buzzed to get a roaring round of applause."

1920s Fashion

For our third fashion history lesson, we studied the 1920s and Art Deco. The 1920s was an incredible decade that changed fashion as we know it. Skirt lengths shortened and women were finally liberated from the dreaded corset. The silhouette became more rectangular, undergarments were abandoned and women showed no cleavage. However, the waist was still aparent at the start of the decade.

By 1923, the waist had dropped, women became more flat chested and embroydery was heavy and glamorous. Fabrics such as sheer and chiffron were used (see through fabrics).

La Garconne

French for the bachelor girl, this word was used as a derogatory word by the elderly and a complement by the young. It was used to describe rebellious, tom boys with short hair and who wore men's clothing. They took part in pre-marital sex and other 'rebellious' activities.

By 1924, trousers were boudoir attire. For example, Paul Poiret's satin pajamas.

During this time, women began to reapply their makeup in public. This wouldn't have been allowed 20 years prior.

Despite the liberation of the corset, some women still used them to make their busts look flat. This was achieved by the freedom corset.

Menswear

The Prince of Wales became the 'it boy' for men's fashion. He was an idol, making fair Isle knits fashionable, and others such as: loose fitting tailoring 'bum freezer'; white flannel trousers and blazers; checkards; stripes; plaid. In 1925, the Oxford stripes became the trending trousers type. Loose fitting that had an average size of 40 inches! Despite the change of fashion from formal to casual, evening wear for men was still black tie and tails.

Lucian Lelong 1889-1958

Known as the man who saved Paris, Lelong stopped Hitler from moving Haute Cauture to Germany during the Second World War. Born into a family of designers, Lelong started a fashion business. He was a very smart business acumen. Unfortunately, he had to go to war. But once the war was over, he came right back into the fashion business. His business flourished with 1200 staff. Lelong was influenced by sport, due to this his designed are associated with fluidity. His dressmaking became engineering; he was a great innovator. Not to mention his 40 fagrances.

He developed the talent of up and coming designers, for example, Christian Dior. And in 1948, after nearly 30 years, Lelong closed his house for good.

Jean Patou 1887-1936

Not only a business man but also a ladies man. The two things Patou loved was women and business. That much so, he opened a dress shop after the First World War. He named it the House of Patou and got his family to work for him. Patou was inspired alot by Russian and Eastern influence, including his love of fur. He brought mens fabric into womens sportswear; similar to Coco Chanel. Patou saw trends like cubism and art decor, so used these in his work. Jean Patou did many iconic and unique things, such as; the first person to brand his work; brought over American models to work for him; created the most expensive perfume at the time, using 10600 jasmine flowers and 336 roses; created mens silk ties from biased cutting waste.

Gabrielle Bonheur Chanel (Coco Chanel) 1882-1971

Chanel did not start off wealthy, she was poor and didn't like her background. However, she lived a good life, despite the fact her mum died when she was 6. She lived and grew up in a nunnery making hats. Chanel was the first designer to create womens jersey taken from men's underwear. She paved her way into fashion by using sex and her sexuality. Her house was established at 31 ru cambon in 1909. At the time, Chanel No.5 was one of the best selling fragrances in the world! And the interlocking 'C's are the most famous fashion logo.

Art Deco

The Art Deco period is a movement in the decorative arts and architecture, originating in the 1920s in France after the First World War. It was developed into a major style in western Europe and United States during the 1930s. It was graphic, strong patterning with rich Egyptian colours; exoctic. For example:
