I feel like giving Ze's IRL personality any real sounding surname is weird and heretical, but what surname to use then in my little sketches?
Steven Viking sounds like it's from a children book.
Steven Ze is totally a musician or a vlogger alias.
As far as I allow myself to go, I have three possible surnames in my head besides the said ones:
Steven Erling — 'cause he's a descendant of the jarls, he has Scandinavian roots;
Steven Aaberg — he's wild and unpredictable like a river ("aa") and strong and unyielding like a mountain ("berg");
Steven Osborne — because it sounds cool (and like a reference to Joan Osborne).
Anyways, I'm gonna stick to 'Viking' for now, though it's a bit unsettling.

Swedish vs English
Maybe I am the only one that care about this, but I just wanted to talk about few difference of the english and swedish translation of SSO.
Nothing negative. Just thoughts.
For those you dont know, while SSO is a swedish game made by swedish people, so is it not written in swedish. Dialog and other texts are written in english and later gets translated to swedish.
So in a way, the english version is the “canon” text.
---
In swedish, ‘Soul riders. are called ‘Ödesryttare’ (destiny riders).
And Im fine with the name not being direct translations.
Destiny riders dont have the same feel as Ödesryttare.
Destiny sounds more like a good thing? While Öde sounds like a bad thing.
Like, if you say “Its their destiny”, it sounds like they will gain something. “You destined for great things”, a prince destiny is to be king or its someones destiny to inherit some magical family heirloom.
While saying “det är deras öde”, sound like they about to die. I mostly only really hear someone using the word ‘öde’ when talking about someone dying in battle or been murderd, “han har mött sitt öde”.
‘Öde’ also means ‘deserted’ so that helps making it seems like a burden.
And reversed, ‘Soul rider’ have a different feel than ‘själryttare’.
‘Själ’ just sound more delicate than ‘soul’. Could also be that being used to ‘ödesryttare’ to be serious, ‘själryttare’ sound not as important.
While ‘soul rider’ sound like there is a connaction between the soul riders, like the sisterhood they like refer to in SSO.
---
An other thing I want to bring up is the breed name ‘Jorvik Wild Horse’
In english it just doesnt sounds like a big deal.
So they are wild horses on jorvik, what special with them except for them being wild? There are wild horses on southhoof, and mustangs are also wild horses, some of them are tame some are wild. Nothing unusuall.
But in swedish. jwh are called ‘Jorvik Urhäst’.
It means more than the breed just being ‘wild’.
‘Ur’ itself just means ‘clock’
But ‘Ur-’ infront of another word means ‘primordial’ or ‘original’.
Ur-berg: the rock base that was formed under Precambrian era, earliest part of earths history.
Ur-skog: Forests that have never been touched or atleast uncultivated by humans. Really old forests.
Ur-häst: The first horses before human domisticated and breed them.
I saw someone that had the headcanon and jwh was horses that came with Jon Jarls fleets that then run away and become wild.
But with a swedish name being ‘Urhäst’ than it suggest the breed have never been domisticaded before,
Mustangs were horses that the european settlers took with them to america and then escaped and become wild. They are wild horses but they arent originaly wild.
So I belive jwh are horses that, like the Kalters, walked over the ice to Jorvik 8 000 years ago. They werent brought there by the kalters, just simple walked over themself.
It could be possibly mean that the Kalters fjords are domisticated descendants from jwh. It was mentioned that Kalters Fjords and normal Fjords arent completly the same breed and possible it was the vikings that got Fjords from kalters and then took them back home to Norway.
There where also suggestions that horse came with Aideen from Pandora and that could possible mean that all horses are descendants from jwh and some of them walked over the ice from Jorvik and become the horses the rest of the world know.
Long story short, I like the swedish name for jwh more than the english name.
---
This is really the only things that I can think of that that are different in the two languages right now.
Other names are either directly translated from english, others arent translated at all.
‘south hoof peninsula’ is ‘ Sydhoven halvö’
But ‘Mistfall’ is still ‘Mistfall’ in swedish.

Norwegian / old norse names and places
Every now and then I come across a book, movie, TV-series, fanfic, game or whatever, that mention a fictional "Norwegian" or "norse" place or person, and it just sounds so wrong it makes me either cringe or ROFL. Really. I still haven't recovered from the 1995 X-files episode, "Død Kalm", which took us to the port of "Tildeskan" where we met "Henry Trondheim", "Halverson" and "Olafsson". Hopefully this list will keep others from being that “creative” with names. :)
Common names for places, towns and villages in Norway
These names are very generic and suitable for a place, village or town anywhere (and pretty much any time) in Norway. Mix and match prefixes with suffixes for diversity. Bonus: All of these can also be used as surnames. Name (meaning) - usage
Nes (headland, cape, ness) - Standalone Bø (fenced-in field on a farm) - Standalone Fjell (mountain) - Standalone or prefix/suffix: Fjell- / -fjell Haug (small hill / large mound) - Standalone or prefix/suffix: Haug- / -haug Vik, Viken, Vika (inlet, the inlet, the inlet) - Standalone or prefix/suffix: Vik- / -viken / -vika Ås, Åsen (hill, the hill (larger than "Bakken")) - Standalone or prefix/suffix: Dal, Dalen (valley, the valley) - Standalone or prefix/suffix: Berg (small mountain) - Standalone or prefix/suffix: Berg(s)- / -berg Sand (sand) - Standalone or prefix/suffix: Sand- / -sand Strand (beach) - Standalone or prefix/suffix: Strand- / -strand Li (hill) - Standalone or prefix/suffix: Li- / -li Gran (spruce) - Standalone or prefix: Gran- Bratt (steep) - prefix only: Bratt- Myr (bog, mire) - prefix only: Myr- Neset, Nesset (the headland, the cape, the ness) - Standalone or suffix: -neset / -nesset Odden (foreland, headland) - Standalone or suffix: -odden Våg (cove, bay) - Standalone or suffix: -våg Lund (grove) - Standalone or suffix: -lund Sund (sound, strait) - Standalone or suffix: -sund Skog (forest) prefix/suffix: Skog- / -skog Øy (island) prefix/suffix: Øy- / -øy øya (the island) - suffix only: -øya bakken (the hill) - suffix only: -bakken gard / gård / gården (farm / farm / the farm) - suffix only: -gard / -gård / -gården elv, -elva (river, the river) suffix only: -elv / -elva stad (old word for town/place) suffix only: -stad vannet (the lake) - suffix only: -vannet
Common words that can be used as prefix to any of the suffixes above Svart- (black) Lille- (little/small) Sol- (sun) Brei-/Bred- (wide) Stor- (big) Lang- (long)
Common Norwegian surnames (contemporary)
Heredatory surnames didn't become mandatory in Norway until 1923. Many took the name from the farm or place they lived, or just changed their primary patronyms into hereditary patronyms. Example: Helgessønn/Helgesdatter (son of Helge / daughter of Helge) became Helgesen.

Names usage Double names, like Ragnhild Johanne or Ole Martin are common in Norway. Just keep them as two names and don't use "-", and you'll be safe, even if it ends up a tongue twister. Using only one of two given names is also common practice.
In Norway everyone is on a first name basis. Students call teachers and other kids' parents by their first name, workers call their boss by their first name, we call our Prime Minister by her first name (journalists will use her title when speaking to her though). Some senior citizens still use surnames and titles when speaking of or to people their own age.
There are some exceptions. For example, a doctor may be referred to as Dr. Lastname when we speak of them, but first name is used when speaking to them. A priest is "the priest" when speaking of him/her and their first name is used when spaking to them. In the millitary only surnames (and ranks) are used. If you meet Harald, the King of Norway, in an official setting you will refer to him as "Kongen" (the king). If you run into him at the gas station, or while hiking, he is "Harald".
If you don't know someone's name it is okay to use their title, or just say "you".

Bynames Bynames, or nicknames, could be neutral, praising or condescending. Usually bynames described a person's
body, bodyparts, bodily features
age
kinship and descent
territorial origin
knowledge, belief, spirituality
clothing, armour
occupation, social position
nature
Examples: Eirik Blodøks (Eirik Blood-Axe), Gammel-Anna (old Anna), Halte-Ása (limping Ása). I suggest that you stick with English for bynames, or use (relatively) modern language if you are writing in Norwegian.
Surnames
Surnames weren't really a thing until 1923 when they became mandatory. Before 1923 patronyms (son/daughter of) were used, and the name of the farm you lived on was often added as an address.
For instance: Helgi Eiriksøn (Helgi, son of Eirik), who lived at the farm called Vollr (grass field), would be called Helgi Eiriksøn Vollr. If he moved to the farm called Haugr his name would change to Helgi Eiriksøn Haugr.
Patronyms
Men: Use father's first name and add -sen /-son /-sønn Women: Use father's first name and add -dotter / -dottir / -datter
Farm names
Farm names were usually relevant and derived from either the location, a nearby landmark, nature or from occupation. I suggest you stick with the modern forms for farm names.
Old Norse (meaning) - modern Bekkr (stream) - Bekk, Bekken Dalr (valley) - Dal, Dahl Horn (horn) - Horn Vollr (field) - Vold, Volden Lundr (grove) - Lund
The list of common names for places/villages/towns is still valid, although the spelling is modern. Just keep it simple and make "clever" combos based on meaning.

Scientists Race to Dig Up Rare Viking Burial Ship Before It Disintegrates

Scientists Race to Dig Up Rare Viking Burial Ship Before It Disintegrates
Inch by inch, they gently pick through the soil in search of thousand-year-old relics. Racing against on-setting mould yet painstakingly meticulous, archaeologists in Norway are exhuming a rare Viking ship grave in hopes of uncovering the secrets within.
Who is buried here? Under which ritual? What is left of the burial offerings? And what can they tell us about the society that lived here?
Now reduced to tiny fragments almost indistinguishable from the turf that covers it, the 20-metre (65-foot) wooden longship raises a slew of questions.
The team of archaeologists is rushing to solve at least some of the mystery before the structure is entirely ravaged by microscopic fungi.
It’s an exhilarating task: there hasn’t been a Viking ship to dig up in more than a century.
The last was in 1904 when the Oseberg longship was excavated, not far away on the other side of the Oslo Fjord, in which the remains of two women were discovered among the finds.
“We have very few burial ships,” says the head of the dig, Camilla Cecilie Wenn of the University of Oslo’s Museum of Cultural History.
“I’m incredibly lucky, few archaeologists get such an opportunity in their career.”
Under a giant grey and white tent placed in the middle of ancient burial grounds near the southeastern town of Halden, a dozen workers in high visibility vests kneel or lie on the ground, examining the earth.
Buried underground, the contours of the longship were detected in 2018 by geological radar equipment, as experts searched the known Viking site.
When the first test digs revealed the ship’s advanced state of decomposition, the decision was taken to quickly excavate it.
Viking VIP
So far, only parts of the keel have been dug out in reasonable condition.
Analyses of the pieces have determined that the ship was probably raised on land around the ninth century, placed in a pit and buried under a mound of earth as a final resting place.
But for whom? “If you’re buried with a ship, then it’s clear you were a VIP in your lifetime,” Wenn says.
A king? A queen? A Viking nobleman, known as a jarl? The answer may lie in the bones or objects yet to be found – weapons, jewels, vessels, tools, etc – that are typical in graves from the Viking Age, from the mid-eighth to mid-11th centuries.
The site has however been disturbed several times, accelerating the ship’s disintegration and reducing the chance of finding relics.
At the end of the 19th century, the burial mound was razed to make space for farmland, entirely destroying the upper part of the hull and damaging what is believed to have been the funeral chamber.
It’s also possible that the grave may have been plundered long before that, by other Vikings keen to get their hands on some of the precious burial offerings and to symbolically assert their power and legitimacy.
Animal bones
So far the archaeologists’ bounty is pretty meagre: lots of iron rivets used for the boat’s assembly, most heavily corroded over time, as well as a few bones.
“These bones are too big to be human,” says field assistant Karine Fure Andreassen, as she leans over a large, orange-tinged bone.
”This is not a Viking chief we’re looking at unfortunately, it’s probably a horse or cattle.”
”It’s a sign of power. You were so rich that an animal could be sacrificed to be put in your grave,” she explains.
Beside the tent, Jan Berge looks like he’s panning for gold. He’s sifting soil and spraying it with water in hopes of finding a little nugget from the past.
”Make an exceptional find? I doubt it,” admits the archaeologist. “The most precious items have probably already been taken. And anything made of iron or organic material has eroded over time or completely disappeared.”
But Berge, whose big bushy beard gives him the air of a Viking, is not easily discouraged.
“I’m not here for a treasure hunt,” he says. “What interests me is finding out what happened here, how the funeral was carried out, how to interpret the actions of the time.”

If you are like me, and you’re tired of seeing the same -sson last names that seem forever glued to Swedish characters -- or if you’re just a person wishing to play a person with Swedish roots -- then look no further! I, a Swedish woman, believes in breaking of patterns and as happy I am to see more people take on Swedish characters I just wish people would care more about their names.
Although the -sson part is rooted to our pasts we are, oddly enough, not still in Medieval times and our last names have developed into a whole new section of options as cultures mix and match! I do not know all of them and this list will be a constant on-going update as people will be able to submit their’s, as well as me doing some research and maybe hearing some new ones out on the streets of where I live. I’d gladly help with any type of Swedish research and questions you may have, or at least as far my own knowledge reaches so don’t be afraid to come to me with your concerns!
The list is A-Ö, and some last names will feel repeated as we mix and match words and meanings. There will be some -sson names to be found, but underused or forgotten only. Also don’t worry about ÅÄÖ, we get it!

Hei!
Long time no see!

This Skyrim mod adds a 200-cheese treasure hunt • Eurogamer.net
Hallou, is it mi you’re looking for?
There’s no such thing as too much cheese, in my book, so if you share this sentiment then boy do I have the Skyrim mod for you.
Published today on Nexus Mods for both the Legendary and Special Edition versions of Skyrim, Cheesemod For Everyone introduces over 150 new varieties of cheese to the land of Jarls(berg). The fun doesn’t end there, however, as the mod also sends the player on a quest to collect all the cheeses, with a daedric artifact reward once all 202 objects have been found. It’s a fondue fork that can turn enemies into wheels of cheese, if you were wondering.
To see this content please enable targeting cookies. Manage cookie settings
To embark on this quest, the player will first need to complete Sheogorath’s first quest (The Mind of Madness) to enter the Pelagius Wing and pick up the stale cheese crumb next to the book Cheeses of Tamriel. To keep it lore-friendly, cheeses from other areas of Tamriel are placed next to NPCs from those regions, while many can also be purchased from vendors – with some exclusive to certain cities or points of interest. New lore has also been added in the form of special cheese notes and journals, which appear on some of the more unique cheeses “to explain how they got there”.
Importantly, you’re also able to eat all the cheeses once you’ve picked them up, as they will still count towards the quest. Although the mod team discourages snacking on the Forbidden Cheese. Which only makes me want to try it more.
The quest has clearly been crafted with care (and some very convincing voice acting), but should you want to bypass the whole thing and just gorge yourself, you can do so through console commands (yum_cheesecell will take you to a cheese-tasting cell). You can also access a spreadsheet list in the mod files should you end up getting a bit lost.
Here’s a selection of the fine cheeses available in this mod, absolutely none of which are making me really hungry right now.
The appearance of this cheese mod got me a little curious about the other cheese mods currently available for Skyrim, and from a brief look around, I discovered a few others of note: this spell to transform people into cheese wheels, and the epic saga provided by the The Cheese of Ages quest mod. Cheesemod For Everyone’s title pays fromage to a famous Sheogorath line in Oblivion, in which he declares “cheese for everyone”, so if you want to go around yelling that whenever you eat cheese, there’s a mod for that here.

SPILLET FOR GALLERIET:
(sitat slutt)
https://sommer17.wordpress.com/2014/03/09/nav-har-ignorert-stortingets-krav-hvordan-er-dette-muliggjort/
https://velferd.no/meninger/2019/nav-medisin-med-bivirkninger
Virkelig!?
https://khrono.no/ny-i-nav-ny-sjef-sifo/vageng-ny-nav-sjef/166167
https://www.aftenposten.no/okonomi/i/a2QqE/Hun-ble-sparket-pa-dagen
– sett ifbm.
https://www.nrk.no/norge/nav-ut-mot-egne-arbeidsmetoder-1.76560292
https://www.aftenposten.no/norge/politikk/i/G1VRQ/Nav-ansatte-bruker-en-fjerdedelav-tiden-pa-annet-enn-klienter
https://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:iZJBH7hry7cJ:https://www.regjeringen.no/globalassets/upload/asd/aktuelt/2014/mandat_ekspertgruppe.pdf+&cd=1&hl=no&ct=clnk&gl=no
https://www.regjeringen.no/no/aktuelt/ekspertgruppens-forslag-til-et-bedre-nav/id2404844/
http://bit.ly/1758Qja
10.04.2012 – Nav-ansatte bekymret over interne konkurranser
(sitat slutt)
16.01.2015 – Juksekultur i Nav:
http://www.dagensperspektiv.no/2015/juksekultur-i-nav
Advokat Gro Sandvold gav rene ord for pengene 23.09.2013: AAP I MAKS FIRE ÅR?
https://sommer17.wordpress.com/2016/11/30/tomfyllet-kjersti-monland-ytelsesdirektor-i-nav/

A Guide to the Best Bakeries in Stockholm
Bakers in Stockholm certainly know what to do with a sack of flour and a splash of water. They work with all possible kinds of flours (graham, einkorn, buckwheat – you name it!) and they throw different ingredients to the mix (sprouted rye and fennel seeds, anyone?) They don’t shun the single-celled fungi that yeast are. And so, every day, shelves in bakeries across the city bend under the weight of crusty sourdough loaves, buns crunchy from seeds, dense rye breads and croissants so flaky that it takes barely a gentle bite to have your chin covered in buttery crumbs.
We’re showcasing our favorite bakeries and encourage you to start your own quest for the perfect slice or bun. You’re bound to find it at one of these Stockholm spots.
Green Rabbit Rågbrödsbageriet
A little bakery with a big personality, and not only because it was opened by Michelin-starred chefs Martin Berg and Mathias Dahlgren. That might sound daunting; in fact, it’s one of the friendliest places we’ve been. Green Rabbit uses rye flour not just in the bread they bake, but also cakes and cookies – not something you come across often. We urge you to try their smørrebrød: not just the classic salmon and horseradish combo (not that we don’t approve) but also delicious and seasonal pairings like wild garlic from Gotland and green asparagus or 16-hour chuck roast with chilli mayonnaise.

Opening Hours: Tues – Fri 8:00 am – 5:00 pm Sat 10:00 am – 3:00 pm Sun & Mon Closed
Bakery & Spice
Their cinnamon buns have whole roasted almonds on top! Purists might frown and prefer their bun naked but we think the crunch against the dense, deliciously chewy dough is spot-on. In addition to the regular assortment of breads and pastries, they sell bread of the day. Try to get there on a weekend and snatch one of the fruit & nut loaves with big juicy chunks of dried apricots. No table seating available inside but, if need be, there’s a bench by the counter and one outside, next to the entrance.

Opening Hours: Mon -Fri 7:30 am – 6:00 pm Sat 8:00 am – 3.00 pm Sun 8:00 am – 1:00 pm
Brunkebergs Bageri
Here you’ll find one of the most scrumptious croissants in town – crispy on the outside, fluffy inside and so buttery that you can even skip the butter on the side and aim for the jam jar straight away. The Birger Jarl location is a new kid on the block, with a more crisp look and feel compared to its older sister on Dalagatan. It’s just the place to linger over a hearty breakfast with a family on a Sunday morning – picture bread baskets, home-made granola and scones. Heaven.

Brillo Box
What an excellent location. Tullhus is situated on Skeppsbron quay, which in the warm months means early morning pain-au-chocolat and coffee al fresco overlooking the water. When cold, you’re welcome to sit at a table inside. In charge of the bakery is Håkan Johansson, the winner of Bakery Masters 2014, so make sure you try one of their masterfully-executed tender and flaky Danishes (wienerbröd) with various fillings – particularly the summer ones, generously adorned with fruit. Also, they make mean gossamer thin honey crispbread.

Opening Hours: Mon – Fri 7:00 am – 6:00 pm Sat & Sun 9:00 am – 3:00 pm
Fabrique
Fabrique has many locations all over Stockholm (they’ve also made it to London!) and it’s one of the most popular bakeries in the city. The fact that they have become a chain does not mean that quantity trumps quality. Good, simple ingredients, wood-fired oven and lots of patience – that’s the secret. We’re particularly fond of their sourdough walnut buns, not to mention the gooey brownies with various toppings that change with the seasons. The summer berry and salted almond brownies have been our favourites so far. Psst: all Fabrique bakeries have gone cashless!

Rosendals Trädgård Bageri
A loaf flavoured with Seville oranges? Focaccia topped with curd and preserved lemons? Fluffy buns with almond paste and raspberries? We could go on and on but that should be enough to give you the feeling of this bakery – very exciting and seasonal. It’s an integral part of Rosendals Trädgård Bageri – the big open organic garden on the island of Djugården. Apart from the bakery, there is also a greenhouse café that serves food based on what the cooks find in the surrounding garden. Try to make it for fika there – the cakes on display will take your breath away.

Bageri Petrus
Take a morning stroll around Mariatorget any day of the week and you’re bound to spot locals holding onto their white paper bags with ‘Bageri Petrus’ printed on them. This and the epic Saturday queues for the weekend supply of bread and fresh pastries prove it’s one of Södermalm’s most beloved bakeries. Their classic cinnamon and cardamom buns are excellent but if you spot beautifully braided sockerkringlor, grab one! Their vanilla-flavored dough is so soft it melts on your tongue. The bakery has also started a tradition of recycling the leftover loaves and uses them to make breakfast toasts three ways – with avocado & sesame seeds, Västerbotten cheese & marmalade (homemade and you can choose your flavour) and, when in season, Västerbotten and Swedish cherry tomatoes. And if the ritual of breaking off the end of a baguette on the way home is your thing, make sure to get the rye sourdough baguette: its pointy, crispy end is definitely one to break.

Gamla Orangeriet
Gamla Orangeriet is located in the scenic surroundings of Bergianska Trädgården (the Bergius Botanic Garden) and although you need a ticket to enter the gardens, the access to the café is free. There are two menus for you to choose from: one offers warm meals on a substantial side, e.g. risotto or a hearty salad with smoked fish, whereas the other one is all about sandwiches. Vegan ones are always exciting; picture a thick slice of rye bread slathered with carrot hummus and topped with grilled vegetables, pesto-marinated artichokes and crunchy pumpkin seeds. But what you really want when you come here is fika. The cakes and pastries are beautiful. The banana bread topped with a thick layer of toasted hazelnuts is famous.
→ Gamla Orangeriet
Veit Wittrocks väg 7 114 18 Stockholm
Opening Hours: Every day 11:00 am – 4:00 pm
Robin Delselius Bageri
It’s a little bit hidden in the maze of Södermalm’s streets but well worth looking for, especially around lunchtime when the staff sets up a soup stand. A huge pot filled with warm, thick broth is surrounded with crusty buns, slabs of butter and little bowls with sun-dried tomatoes or shrimp to use as toppings. It’s all included in the price and you’re welcome to serve yourself and have a second helping, too. Moreover, coffee and something sweet like biscotti or a cake of some sort are part of the lunch deal. Fika-wise: try the classic cardamom bun made with real butter and lots of it. And before you leave, grab a loaf of Södertoast. It’s a sourdough toasting bread and it does toast like a dream. Oonce you get it all crispy and golden brown, it’s the perfect vessel for your morning fried egg and a bacon.

Mon – Fri 7:00 am – 7:00 pm
Sat & Sun 7:00 – 5:00 pm
Enskedeparkens Bageri
Step into this little bakery and you’ll feel like one of Astrid Lindgren’s Bullerby children. It’s located in a wooden house in the idyllic Enskede where life seems slower and the air fresher. Across the street from the bakery you’ll find stables – the sight of horses and riders certainly add the charm to your fika experience. Although it’s usually cinnamon buns one wants to eat in Sweden, Enskedeparkens Bageri bakes incredible pain-au-chocolats. Apart from fika, the bakery also serves simple breakfast and lunch. There’s nothing more perfect in the morning than a still-warm rye, seeded bun filled with cheese and veg, or hummus, or avocado – there are a few choices available and it’s your call. The buns are being filled after you order them so no soggy sandwiches with wilted lettuce there. The bakery has also become famous for its pizzas al fresco. It’s a seasonal affair that usually starts in Autumn and the bakers recommend checking their website for updates. By all means, bring your own wine. Blankets are provided.

Valhallabageriet
A tiny bakery with a big heart. Try the walnut loaf as a bread to take home; it’s what you want at your breakfast table slathered with butter and jam, or topped with cheese and egg. Cinnamon and cardamom buns are sinfully good here, but there’s something else you should try: a frösnurra. It’s a croissant dough shaped like a swirl with caramelised pumpkin and sesame seeds for crunch. What a pleasure to unswirl it, tearing off one piece after another, until you get to the centre soaked with sweet syrup.

Opening Hours: Mon – Fri 7:00 am – 6:00 pm
Sat 8:00 am – 3:00 pm Sun 9:00 am – 3:00 pm
Les Petit Boudins
Located near busy Fridhemsplan, this petit bakery keeps employees from nearby offices very happy during lunchtime. It’s quite busy; not really a place to hang out with your laptop for hours, but rather grab a quick bite. Nonetheless, the place is charming and you get to eat from vintage, mismatched crockery. The most popular lunch fare is soup and a sandwich. There’s plenty of in-house baked pastries to satisfy your sweet tooth and the vegan brownies are particularly naughty. If you’re in need of something rich, you must try the almond croissant. On Wednesdays the bakery makes pizzas!

New Post has been published on http://localfreshies.com/one-way-celebrate-july-4th-ski-snowboard-mt-bachelor/
One more way to celebrate July 4th - Ski / snowboard Mt Bachelor!
For the Pacific Northwest, the 2016-17 ski / snowboard season is one for the record books. This especially holds true at our favorite spring skiing locale: Mt Bachelor. Sure, both Mammoth Mountain and Squaw Valley are open, but with the town of Bend filled with dozens of award winning breweries AND it being only the ninth time since 1958 that Mt Bachelor is open for July 4th skiing, Mt Bachelor is the clear winner where we’d celebrate America’s birthday.
Mt Bachelor open on July 4th weekend?!?
Image taken by: Christine Alvarado
In a typical winter, Mt Bachelor receives truckloads of snow averaging 360 inches annually. During the 2016-17 season though, they received over 578 inches of the white stuff making it the THIRD snowiest season since their record keeping began back in the 70’s. To top that off, these snowfall measurements are at the BASE of the resort meaning there is a lot more snow around the higher you go up the peak!
For the 1st time ever – Mountain Bike AND Ski on the same day
Skiing Mt. Bachelor on July 1st! – Image taken by: Jarl Berg
Mt Bachelor typically shuts down the ski season way before the snow is even close to melted. In fact, they typically move snow out of the way so that they can open the mountain bike trails. This year is the first time that you can ski in the morning and mountain bike in the afternoon. It might be the perfect summer day!
What’s open?
What Mt Bachelor is calling “JulySki” will run from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. The main ski run will be Beverly Hills located just under the Summit chairlift. A narrow, lower run is being set up under the Sunrise chairlift to get skiers back to the base.
With Mt Bachelor being open on July 4th only a handful of times in its nearly 60 year history, you better go if you’re anywhere near Bend, Oregon!

How To Beat One Of The Giants At A Weak Level
To beat one of the giants at a weak level you have to follow the path to bleak falls barrow and you’ll see 2 giants sitting down. First, get one of theirs attention. Next, run back the way you came into Whiterun. Then, run into the windmill on the outskirts of Whiterun. He won’t be able to come in and to kill him just keep slashing his stomach. Pick up his club (it’s super strong).
How To Become A Vampire
When you are fighting against vampires, you also have a chance of contracting vampirism each time they land a hit on you – that could turn you into a vampire! If you contract the disease, it can be cured with any of your regular disease potions. But, if you want to turn into a vamipre, you can wait three days and the disease will become permanent There are four stages of the disease of Vampirism. The longer you go without blood, the more powerful the benefits of vampirism will become, but the weaknesses will also get worse. You can only drink blood from sleeping NPCs. As each stage of vampirism increases, some effects stay the same, while others change. The four stages of Vampirism and their effect (changes between stages are only listed) are as follows: Stage 1 Vampires have a 25% increase to their Illusion spells. They are 25% harder for NPCs to detect, have 100% resistance to diseases or poisons, and are 25% resistant to ice. Vampires are 25% weaker to fire, and their health, magic, and stamina stats are reduced by 15 points in the sunlight. Those three stats also do not regenerate. Vampires have the power to reanimate the dead to serve them. They can also improve their night vision with another power. Vampires gain a spell that allows them to drain the health of their enemies. Stage 2 Vampires are 50% resistant to frost, and their vampiric servant and drain powers are more powerful. Vampires are 50% weaker to fire, and their health, magic, and stamina stats are reduced by 30 points in the sunlight. Vampires gain the “Vampiric Seduction” power, which calms enemies (animals and people) for 30 seconds. Thus, they will not attack you. Stage 3 Vampires are 75% resistance to ice, and their powers of reanimating the dead and draining the living become more powerful. Vampires are 75% weaker to fire, and their health, magic, and stamina stats are reduced by 45 points in the sunlight. Stage 4 Vampires are 100% resistant to ice, and their vampiric servant and drain powers are more powerful. Vampires are 100% weak to fire, and their health, magic, and stamina stats are reduced by 60 points in the sunlight. All NPCs are hostile towards Stage 4 vampires. Vampires gain the “Embrace Of Shadows” power, which turns your character invisible for three minutes.
Once you’re turned into a vampire, you can only lose it by turning into a werewolf (lycanthrope), or by completing the “Rising at Dawn” quest.
Pick Pocket Repeatedly
Start by going to jail in Riften and then unlock your jail cell door. If you lookdirectly across from your cell, you’ll see a guy named Black Briar. You canpickpocket him even after he’s caught you. Pickpocket all of his stuff and thenplace it back into his inventory and pickpocket it all again. You can repeat thisany number of times – as many times as you want!
Slow Motion Mode
To do this glitch, you’ll need a bow, an arrow, and the Eagle Eye perk. All youneed to do is zoom in with the bow and the game will then slow down. Then, reloada save while still zooming! The game will stick in slow-motion mode until you tryto use the zoom feature again. We know it works on the 360. Not sure on otherplatforms.
Location Collector
In any hold, in the Jarl’s house, there will be a map where you can activate locations and mark them on your map, eliminating pointless searching. There are only small towns and forts.
Dawnstar Secret Chest
In Dawnstar, go to the mine that is higher on the hill (Iron-Breaker), but not in. Look to your left and you will see a small tree with three rocks near it, one of them being under. If you look at the rock in a particular way, it will say “open chest”. Inside, there are many helpful items, and it occasionally restocks.
Getting Out of the Map
Step 1: Enter Whiterun. Step 2: Look to your right and walk (about 10 feet) and there will be a small passage with a barrel on your right. Step 3: Jump on barrel (still facing the same way) and look right. Step 3: Jump on ledge (you might need a couple tries) and you can go through the hole. You are now out of the map. Word from the wise: try not to go astray, or your screen will turn black and you will have to turn off the system.
Sliver Hand Enchanted Sword
Just take a Silver hand sword and enchant it. Don’t worry if it doesn’t say the enchantment(s) you have on it. It’ll be still use the enchantment(s).
How To Cure Vampirism
It is very simple how to cure Vampirism in Skyrim other than in Oblivion. 1. Talk to any inn keeper or Bartender and ask about rumors 2. One of them will tell you a man named Falion in Morthal is studying Vampires 3. Once you get there he will know that you are a vampire and you can ask him to cure you 4. You need a filled black soul Gem, you can either look for one or you can buy one from Falion 5. Once the black soul gem is filled return to him and he will tell you to meet him at dawn 6. At dawn the soul inside the Black soul gem will give you life once again and you will no longer be a vampire.
Dragon Claw Tips
If you have a dragon claw and you are trying to figure out what the combination is for the ancient nord puzzle, all you need to do is:1. Open up the ITEMS menu 2. Go to MISC on the bottom 3. Locate to the dragon claw 4. Press R3 to view the item 5. The three animals are on the bottom of the dragon claw in three circles.
Standing Stone Locations
The Mage Standing Stone allow you to learn magic skills 20% faster. Thief Standing Stone allow you to learn stealth skills 20% faster. Warrior Standing Stone allow you to learn combat skills 20% faster. The Standing Stones are located southwest of Riverwood, below Anise’s Cabin. They are easy to spot, and you should not miss them as you leave Helgen. Search the indicated locations to find the Standing Stones:
The Apprentice Stone: It is south of Solitude, on an island, in a small water marshland. It helps you recover magicka quickly, but it makes you susceptible to magicka damage. The Atronach Stone: It is between Riften and Windhel, in the marshland. It is just outside the mountain range between the two locations, near the Eldergleam Sanctuary and Darkwater Crossing by the river to the east of the two. It gives you a large magicka boost and enables you to absorb spell damage, but you recover it slowly. The Lady Stone: It is on a small island on the lake to the west of Riverwood. It allows you to regenerate health and stamina quickly. The Lord Stone: It is southwest of Dawnstar, in the mountain range, on the northern peak. It makes you resistant to magicka and physical damage. The Lover Stone: It is east of Markarth, about one fifth of the way to Solitude. It helps you improve all your skills faster. The Ritual Stone: It is east of Whiterun, south of the river, between Whiterun and Valtheim Towers. It allows you to re-animate nearby corpses to fight for you. The Serpent Stone: It is east of Winterhold, north of Windhelm, in the sea, on a floating ice berg. It gives you a ranged paralyzing poison to use once a day. The Shadow Stone: It is south of Riften, on a small mountain before the large mountain range to the south. It lets you become invisible once a day for an extended period. The Steed Stone: It is on the tip of the highest mountain, northwest of Solitude. It increases your carrying capacity without any movement penalty. The Tower Stone: It is on a mountain in the middle of Winterhold and Dawnstar. It allows you to automatically open expert and lower locks.
Cure Lycanthropy
First you must join The Companions faction and successfully complete all quests for The Companions Faction. Once that’s done, talk to the leader of The Companions, Kodlak Whitemane, or ask around about a cure for werewolves. Speaking with Aela the Huntress in Whiterun will also tell you more about The Companions’ affliction. The Companions will offer you a special quest that will cure your lycanthropy, which is a permanent change. You will never be able to become a werewolf again. Successfully complete the quest to not be a werewolf ever again.
Duplicate Books
You can repeat this glitch if you own a house with an alchemy lab. Activate the bookshelf and then place the desired book to be duplicated on the shelf. Leave the menu and immediately activate the bookshelf again. If your book has not yet physically appeared on the shelf, wait at the menu screen where you can loot the bookshelf. Once you see the book in front of you (it will hover in front of the shelf while the menu is open), loot the book from the shelf in the menu. Immediately close the menu, and you can click on the book itself to read and then take it. You will now have looted the book twice, putting two of them in your inventory. Repeat this as many times as desired. It is especially useful with expensive books such as the Oghma Infinium.
Weapon With Fortify Enchantment
Start with at least 100 enchantment and the perk that allows you to add two enchantments to a weapon. First, go to the enchantment table and select the soul gem you wish to use. Next, choose a weapon enchantment – Frost damage, Stamina damage, Soul Trap, etc. Then select a fortify enchantment, de-select the fortify enchantment, then select it again. You should now be able to select a weapon to enchant.
Unlimited Containers And Storage
All of the containers in Skyrim are persistent and hold items that do not disappear. So, any container (for example: barrels, boxes, chests, etc.) can be used to store your items. You can use containers near loading locations to keep things more organized. But, be careful, because some containers can “reset” and your items could vanish. You can try out different containers to see the effects. To be the safest, you’ll need to purchase a house and store everything within it.
3d Model Views
When the Skyrim loading screen appears, you can move the left and right analog sticks. When you move them, you’ll rotate the models displayed on the screen.
Muffle Spell Tip
Almost all good spells that you can use make you actively use them in combat or use them on specific objects. The Muffle spell does not have the same requirement. The Muffle spell is an Illusion spell that quiets your movements. You can repeatedly cast Muffle while you are walking around to increase your Illusion skill and increase your overall experience.
Cheats
Solution To The Dragonreach Cave Puzzle (Spoiler)
For the first mission for Dragonreach (inside the cave) you must solve a combination puzzle. Look to the wall above the closed gate and you will see two heads with a gap in the middle. Each one holds a picture of a creature (snake / dolphin). On the floor by the lever is the third creature (a snake). The combination is Snake, Snake, Dolphine. The second combination is found deeper in the chambers and it is a turntable combination, which is more difficult. The solution is Bear, Owl, Bird. Insert the claw, and then the door will open. That’s it!
Jump Up Mountains Backward!
If you can’t climb up a hill/mountain any further because it is too steep, try this! You can turn around (so your butt faces the mountain – and you’re looking away from the mountain). Once facing the opposite direction, try jumping and pressing the control stick toward the mountain. If you do this a bunch, you’ll actually go up the mountain even though it’s too steep to walk up. You can also try diagonally in both directions to help you creep up the mountain.
