Look at this beautiful project in Japan to design new Kimono models inspired by traditional Palestinian clothes! 🇵🇸 

Some of the project's creations were displayed at a charity bazaar in Tokyo and the founder has been very vocal about Palestine, sharing posts in support with fundraising 🇵🇸 

This is a very worthy group project, of communion of ideas, talent and cultures. Some kimono collars were embroidered by refugee woman in Ramallah, West Bank.

長良川郡上の鮎漁師はもっこ褌だったんだね

長良川と郡上竿の世界

俵次の息子である福手福雄氏の話では、戦前��ら戦後しばらくまでは、鮎釣をする格好はもっこ褌（ふんどし）1枚が普通で、それすらつけないフリダマ（フルチン）の強者も多かったとのこと。

遠征した地方河川の先々で、地元の漁師に乞われると「掛け針を尻ヒレに通す」秘密はすぐ教えた伊豆の漁師も、砥石のことだけは最後まで秘密にしていたという。その効果は絶大で、事実その秘密が知れ渡った以降は、長良川郡上の漁師も川に入る際に褌（ふんどし）ひとつになっても、割りオモリと砥石だけはその身から離すことはなかった。

長良川と郡上竿の世界

ディープな世界にようこそ

～郡上竿の発祥～＜伊豆漁師の遠征と移住＞

　大正の初め、長良川に遠征した伊豆の漁師は、郡上八幡に逗留しながら地元の漁師と交流するようになる。地元の釣り道具屋や逗留中の旅館ではもとより、請われて神社などで釣技や仕掛けについての講習をすることなどもあったという。ほとんどは夏場の漁期が終わると伊豆に帰る漁師ばかりだったが、大正１１年、そのうち一人の若者が郡上に移住する。これが山下福太郎である。
