hi🥰🥰 i just saw your post about requests being open so here i am, brain filled with suguru worms🧎 i’ve been daydreaming sm about living a slow, romantic cottage-core life with this man. would you consider doing headcanons for that?🥹
an: wrote this in an aiport lol. set after suguru declares war on jujutsu high but doesn't die. escapes in exile with sorcerer!reader. this got a little dark sorry!
cw: a bit of tradwifery (sorry), possessiveness, vomiting, impregnation
you're still getting used to the country life. it's nice and tranquil. there's a few yuzu trees surrounding the cottage you and suguru inhabit and a strawberry field by the lake that's less than a mile away from the house. suguru moved you two to the japanese countryside after narrowly escaping death after the war against jujutsu high to lay low for a while, but his grip on you has only gotten stronger after leaving tokyo.
you made do with what you had. fleeing so quickly meant no time to pack. a part of you missed the temple, the people, the friends you made, and the huge master bedroom you and suguru shared (the cottage bedroom wasn't half the size). but suguru insisted that this tiny cottage would be the best chance from gojo or anyone from jujutsu high to find him, so here you were, bright and early fixing suguru breakfast.
"smells great darling," he says smiling as you pour the hot green tea into his teacup. "will you not have any yourself?"
"no, im not hungry," you shrug.
"hmm."
you sit in comfortable silence for a bit, looking out the window next to the table while he goes back to reading the paper. you knew you should feel lucky to be here, the village was so pretty and picturesque, and the villagers were so welcoming. you knew you should feel even luckier that surguru chose you, yes you, to run away with him. he fucks you harder now, rougher and more impulsively than the carefully calculated man that he was before. he cums inside you now, every single time as if he was trying to get you pregnant. maybe he's taking his frustrations out on you, or maybe he's just showing you how much he really loves you, and it would be a lie to say you didn't like it.
you feel his big hands rub your knee under the table, taking you out of your thoughts.
"you look like you're thinking about something," he raises an eyebrow.
"oh! it's nothing. just thinking about tokyo I guess," you say.
"I believe there's a festival in the village today. would my pretty girl like to get some sweets? we'll walk there together."
your ears perk up. "really?" you ask. maybe they'll have matcha dango you loved getting from the stand nearby the temple. maybe they'll even have candy apples. "I would love to go."
walking hand in hand, you stroll to the village center for the festival. suguru holds your hand tight, squeezing it, giving you a small, sweet, smile.
"I know it hasn't been easy for you," he begins "but you're doing a wonderful job. always so obedient, so caring of me. one day, I would like you make you my wife."
you're heart beats faster after the mention of "wife". this was the first time he's ever said the word. could this really be happening?
"I would be honored to," you grin unable to hide your excitement. for the rest of the day, you're elated and bubbly at the possible idea that one day you'll be suguru's permanently.
xxx xxx xxx xxx
he fucks you fast and hard that night, you take every inch of his dick a the good girl you are, leaving his dick inside of you overnight while you sleep in his embrace. the next morning you feel a wave of nausea, throwing up until you puke clear liquid from the depths of your stomach. it could be forming eating too many deserts, but you pull a pregnancy test form behind the mirror cabinet in the bathroom just to be safe, and wait the five longest minutes of your life to find the stick displaying two bright blue lines. your heart sinks.
"suguru...i think.. i might.." you say coming out of the bathroom finding him at the dining table, tears begin welling in your eyes. "I'm pregnant!" you blurt out, shoving the pregnancy test towards him.
he gingerly grabs the stick, taking a few minutes to process the news and then sinks down to his knees at your feet, peppering thousands of kisses at your navel.
"i've been waiting for this moment," he says rubbing your belly. "i cant want to see youre body grow with my child, youre gonna make such a good mama, i promise."
suguru stands up to wipe your tears away, giving you a big hug. you were finally bound to him forever. with his essence inside you and a baby on the way, you could never leave him even if you tried. he rubs your back, letting you sob on his shoulder. you are his for the rest of time.

Shoujo Manga's Golden Decade (Part 3)
Shoujo manga, comics for girls, played a pivotal role in shaping Japanese girls’ culture, and its dynamic evolution mirrors the prevailing trends and aspirations of the era. For many, this genre peaked in the 1970s. But why?
Part 1
Part 2
Follow the Trend
Before we move on to the third movement of the '70s, let's take a quick look at an essential characteristic of shoujo manga: its sensitivity to trends.
The early '70s were a confusing time for the industry. There was extreme freedom in certain corners, with Yukari Ichijo, Machiko Satonaka, and other prominent artists drawing very adult-like drama in shoujo magazines for very young girls. In contrast, there was also a lot of moralism. The fact manga wasn't taken very seriously meant magazines could get away with a lot since adults considered them terrible influences anyway. But, at the same time, since manga wasn't a respected medium, they were also prone to hysteria. Nothing illustrates this scenario better than the controversies surrounding "Harenchi Gakuen," the first full-length series by Go Nagai, who went on to become one of the most celebrated manga artists of the '70s.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Shameless! The nudity and erotic jokes in Go Nagai''s "Harenchi Gakuen" were a hit with kids and teens, scandalized parents and teachers, and made the shoujo industry chase after their own erotic hits.
Nagai, already a respected yet fledgling name in the industry, was recruited by Shueisha to be part of Shonen Jump's inaugural team in the late '60s. Jump, as any manga fan knows, is by far the biggest success story in manga's editorial history. However, back then, it was just a newcomer in a field dominated by Kodansha's Weekly Shonen Magazine and Shogakukan's Shonen Sunday. Go Nagai's series, whose translated name meant "Shameless High School," is Jump's initial smash hit and one of the titles behind its extraordinary ascent.
But "Harenchi Gakuen," a gag manga with erotic jokes, scandalized adults across the nation. The Japanese Parents and Teachers Association successfully led a Shonen Jump boycott, getting the magazine banned in several shops across the country and triggering a media circus. At the time, agitated journalists often accosted Go Nagai at airports and public events, aggressively pointing their mics at him, a consequence of manga-kas celebrity-like notoriety during that era.
Meanwhile, the reaction around "Harenchi Gakuen" did not intimidate other manga magazines. In fact, all of them were pursuing their own "harenchi"-like phenomenon and publishing stories with erotic dirty jokes. And yes, that included the manga magazines for little girls. In Ribon, male manga-ka Hikaru Yuzuki was responsible for the "dirty" manga series. At Weekly Margaret, Yuzuki also had a considerable hit with the high school comedy "Elite Kyousoukyoku," which, while not precisely "ecchi," had a tone reminiscent of Nagai's work. At Nakayoshi, the artist in charge of this type of content was none other than a pre-"Candy Candy" Yumiko Igarashi.
Tumblr media
Before finding success with the smash hit "Candy Candy" manga, Yumiko Igarashi was the Nakayoshi artist in charge of recreating the "harenchi" phenomenon in the pages of the magazine. Above, in a good display of how public manga artists were in the '70s, Yumiko describes her panties as part of a Nakayoshi feature.
The "harenchi" phenomenon hinted at a shoujo field that wasn't yet wholly solidified and, therefore, was taking cues straight from the shonen segment, which would later become uncommon. But it also illustrates how the genre projects readers' dreams and preferences.
An example of this is one of Ribon's most popular series during the '70s, Yukko Yamamoto's "Miki to Apple Pie." Serialized between 1973 and 1976, this gag high school manga was full of absurd humor and nudity in the "Harenchi" vein. The twist is that it also had everything girls dreamed of.
The "apple pie" in the title was a reference to the lead character's favorite dessert during the time the American apple pie had just arrived in Japan and was considered the trendiest sweet. Miki Miyazawa, a popular and beautiful girl who served as the proxy for readers and was loosely modeled after talento Aki Aizawa, also loved astrology and the horoscope, and the romantic lead was a transfer student named Hideki Nanjo, who was a carbon copy of Hideki Saijo, the biggest popstar heartthrob of the '70s. Basically, "Miki to Apple Pie"'s central premise was "What if the popstars girls go crazy for was your silly gorgeous classmate?".
In fact, a testament to Saijo's popularity was how many shoujo manga romantic partners of the era used him as a model. Besides "Miki to Apple Pie," inserts of him were present in Satonaka Machiko's "Spotlight," Shigeko Maehara's "Kimi Iro no Hibi," Mayumi Yoshida's "Lemon Hakusho," among others.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
With nudity, slapstick humor, and numerous references to trends and pop culture, "Miki to Apple Pie" became a sensation in the pages of '70s Ribon. The romantic lead, Hideki Nanjo, modeled after heartthrob Hideki Saiji, frequently performed impromptu renditions of popular hits from stars like Agnes Chan, Finger Five, Momoe Yamaguchi, Junko Sakurada, and, of course, Hideki Saiji himself. Full of shockingly offensive and scatological jokes, very little was considered off-limits, making "Miki to Apple Pie" a quintessential example of the distinctive '70s shoujo manga published during the peak of the "Harenchi" boom. It also serves as a perfect time capsule of its era, satirizing and commenting on everything popular at the time—from iconic products like the Panasonic Quintrix television and memorable TV commercials to celebrities, the toilet paper shortage during the Oil Shock, the Discover Japan campaign, and the widespread teenage girls' fascination with horoscopes. This manga elevated shoujo manga's trend obsession to unprecedented heights and mixed it with absurdity.
Saijo is a relic of the past, but shoujo echoing the trends of its time is a timeless characteristic of the genre. That's why most shoujo artists are women who are close in age to their readers: this sensibility to girls' desires is a vital component of the market. From the way the characters look to how they dress to even the shape of their eyebrows, everything is supposed to reflect its time. Therefore, to successfully create shoujo, one has to understand how girls perceive themselves and also how they want to be perceived. How they dress and look, but also how and what they dream of looking and wearing. What they aspire to and, above all, what they find attractive in the opposite sex.
It was precisely that sensitivity and this unique sense of what girls want and dream of that led to the creation of what is now the number 1 shoujo manga trope: the high school romance starring an unassuming, ordinary heroine. Leading the way was another group of artists that, while not as internationally celebrated as the Year 24 Group, are definitely equally as crucial to shoujo history.
The Otometique Fervor
Tumblr media Tumblr media
An "otometique" girl by Mutsu A-ko and some of the artist's popular furoku.
Yoshiko Nishitani, another of Shueisha's top shoujo artists of that era, is often credited as being the first to create a series around ordinary high school love. She did that in 1965's "Marie Lou," published in Weekly Margaret. "Marie Lou" was set in an American high school and had a very fashionable white girl as its lead. On her next manga, "Lemon to Sakuranbo" (Lemon and Cherries), she'd once again achieve immense success by bringing the teen romance closer to reality, using an ordinary Japanese high school as a backdrop.
While Nishitani pioneered this narrative style, the rise of more realistic, everyday stories gained momentum about a decade later. One catalyst for this was the "Otometique boom," a phenomenon that unfolded in the pages of Shueisha's Ribon magazine in the latter half of the '70s.
The term "Otometique" combines "otome," meaning "maiden" or a pure young girl, with the "-tique" (tikku in Japanese) suffix. A-ko Mutsu was the artist who spearheaded this movement.
A-ko made her debut in Ribon in 1971 at the age of 18. Her popularity skyrocketed four years later when her first short stories, led by "Tasogaredoki ni mitsuketa no" (What I Found at Twilight), were compiled into a tankobon that became a best-seller. This success elevated her status in Ribon, and soon her "otometique" style became the talk of the town.
Tumblr media
Mutsu A-ko's art.
In contrast to the dramatic narratives of the "Satonaka-domain" faction, "otometique" stories adopted a more straightforward structure devoid of major plot twists and intense drama. Instead, they focused on modest love stories where the exhilarating moments were ordinary occurrences, like spotting a cute boy on the street or touching a crush's hand for the first time. While some stories included sad or supernatural elements, readers were captivated by the uncomplicated, heartwarming moments.
Ako's heroines were ordinary, unassuming schoolgirls, often characterized by shyness and insecurity. Different from extraordinary characters like Lady Oscar from "BeruBara" or the iconic Madame Butterfly tennis star in "Ace wo Nerae," Ako's protagonists were life-sized.
"Otometique" manga often incorporated romantic comedy tropes, such as chance encounters with cute guys on the way to school or the transformation into beauty after removing glasses. The happy endings typically featured a boy reciprocating the girl's love by accepting her as perfect and beautiful just as she was.
Tumblr media
In otometique manga, girls were often in cute plaid and gingham check dresses and skirts, while boys were impeccably dressed in Ivy style, as seen in Mutsu Ako's art above.
While the stories may have seemed mundane, their distinctiveness lay in the meticulous attention to detail. As significant as the exploration of falling in love and discovering inner strength were all the visual details in "otometique" art. Girls had braids or long wavy hair and wore adorable clothes with plaids and gingham-check, as well as cute accessories. At a time when most Japanese girls still had Japanese-style rooms, "otometique" heroines had gorgeous Western-style rooms. They hung out in cozy cafes, made handmade goods, and ate tasty-looking sweets. Houses had French windows and balconies. Boys were tall, lean, with fluffy hair, and were always dressed impeccably in Ivy-style clothes. The "otometique" artists created an atmosphere that perfectly matched girls' aspirations at the time.
Tumblr media
Girls often dreamed with having Western-style bedrooms like the ones in Otometique manga.
While Mutsu A-ko was the trailblazer, she was soon joined at the top by two other iconic artists, Yumiko Tabuchi, and Hideko Tachikake. Each of them had their quirks. Tabuchi, for example, often had college girls as her heroines, mirroring herself as a student at the elite, trendy Waseda University. While Tabuchi and A-ko preferred short stories, Tachikake had a penchant for longer series with a bit more drama. But they all had a similar aesthetic and relied on the charm of ordinary love.
The "otometique" phenomenon reflected the trends of the time and foreshadowed the emerging consumer culture that would swallow the country in the next decade. The sophisticated visuals attracted people of all ages, from elementary school-aged girls to highly educated women and men. Both the top public and private universities in Japan, Tokyo University and Waseda, respectively, had famous "otometique" clubs full of students who loved the genre and the style. The mangas were so trendy that they were often referred to as "Ivy mangas," in reference to the iconic Ivy style that was the catalyst of Japan's youth fashion, which was going through a second revival around that time.
While projecting an atmosphere that girls dreamed of, "otometique" also showcases '70s youth and girls' culture. Melancholic, simple love stories among young people were also the theme of the big folk hits of the time. Ivy or country fashion and long hair for men were the top fashion trends. Western-inspired ideals- in decoration, fashion, and musical taste- were pervasive. And creating subcultures and hobbies around consumption was the path society was taking. Simple life-sized stories as a narrative preference echoed the reality of Japan, which was stabilizing itself after decades of turbulence. These stories brought what the country was craving: comfort.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Above, a Mutsu A-ko's bedroom that lived in girls' imagination. Below, the room is recreated in a 2021 exhibition of Ako's art.
Meanwhile, the rise of consumer culture among young girls led to a "fancy goods" boom, with stores selling cute stationery, stickers, and small items popping up everywhere around the country. Illustrators and companies, eager to capitalize, spared no time in creating appealing mascots and drawings to adorn these goods, and it was in that period that Sanrio created Hello Kitty.
Ribon and Nakayoshi, which were "furoku" magazines, also benefitted. Furoku are extra gifts that come with the purchase of the magazines. And the "otometique" boom meant Ribon could include "fancy goods" -- like notebooks, stickers, letter sets, and small paper goods readers could assemble -- with the illustration of these highly sought-after artists. Most girls around Japan could only dream of Western-style rooms, a closet full of cute Ivy fashion, trips to trendy cafes, and homes with French windows. But they could recreate a bit of this sophisticated atmosphere by having letter sets, notebooks, stickers, and small accessories with A-ko Mutsu, Hideko Tachikake, and Yumiko Tabuchi's art. These popular furokus and the "otometique" stories were critical for Ribon magazine to surpass 1 million copies in circulation.
Girls admired A-ko, Tabuchi, and Tachikake not only as artists creating heartfelt stories with attractive atmospheres but as personalities. The trio, who were in their late teens and early 20s, closely resonated with their fans due to their proximity in age and shared interests. The readers were moved when Ribon featured an article in which A-ko Mutsu had the opportunity to meet and interview her favorite singer, the rock star Kenji Sawada, a prominent teen idol of that era. The positive response was so overwhelming that, a few issues later, Hideko Tachikake, an avid folk music enthusiast, also had the chance to interview her idol, Kosetsu Minami, the lead singer of Kaguyahime.

An otometique girl by Yumiko Tabuchi (left) and a collection of furoku illustrated by her as seen on a 2021 exhibition on her art.
The popularity of "otometique" peaked in 1977. By 1981, the boom had almost faded, and A-ko, Tabuchi, and Tachikake published their last works on Ribon in 1985. Tabuchi and Tachikake married and semi-retired, while A-ko successfully transitioned to manga for adult women.
Despite the end of the style, "otometique" permeated every corner of Japanese society. Its furoku and atmosphere were one of the bases for the almighty "kawaii" culture which now rules the country. The life-sized heroines and focus on mundane love stories and everyday emotions went on to become one of the main characteristics of the shoujo manga industry.
The Iwadate Domain
For years, the influence of "otometique" has been downplayed, one of the reasons why the movement is almost undiscussed in the West. However, in the last few years, best-selling books reminiscing the style were published, and exhibitions of A-ko Mutsu and Yumiko Tabuchi's works were big hits across Japan. A-ko, who moved back from Tokyo to her hometown in Fukuoka and never stopped creating manga, was recognized by the local prefecture as an honorary citizen and gained a permanent museum in the area, signaling her importance to the industry.
But while the "otometique" phenomenon happened on the pages of Ribon magazine, Mutsu, Tabuchi, and Tachikake weren't the only three attracting a massive audience to this type of real-life love story.
Tumblr media
Mariko Iwadate's work was extremely popular from the late '70s to the mid-2000s. Above, a collection of her work from her Margaret era.
Going back to the research of sociologist Shinji Miyadai, three domains divided '70s shoujo. There was the "Moto Hagio domain," which included the Year 24 artists. The Hagio domain was more highbrow and intellectually challenging, and many considered it an equivalent to literature, attracting the intellectual elite that sniffed at manga in general. It is by far the most discussed and debated '70s shoujo movement, as well as the most famous in the West, but it was the least commercially successful at the time. Then there was the "Machiko Satonaka domain," with emotionally driven stories full of drama, plot twists, and larger-than-life heroines. Most of the '70s best-selling shoujo series fall under this category, which includes the work of Yukari Ichijo and Ryoko Ikeda and sports manga like "Ace wo Nerae," among others.
Finally, there's the domain in which the "otometique" stories were created. And Miyadai doesn't name it after any of the Ribon artists, calling it the "Mariko Iwadate domain" instead.
In the Satonaka domain, the heroine served as a proxy for the reader in a fantastical world, while in the Iwadate domain, the heroine represented the reader in the real world. But, after all, who is the influential Iwadate?
Mariko Iwadate, who made her debut in 1973 at the age of 16, rose to prominence by embracing the "otometique" style during its peak in the late '70s. Similar to Ribon artists, Iwadate, who mostly worked for Weekly Margaret, captivated readers with her elegant and stylish art, featuring cute clothes, accessories, and intricate details.
Miyadai's choice to name the category after Iwadate rather than the genre pioneer A-ko Mutsu may be attributed to Iwadate's sustained success. After leaving Ribon in 1985, A-ko remained prolific and had a dedicated audience, but she couldn't replicate her peak. Iwadate's popularity, on the other hand, continued unabated even after she transitioned to adult women's manga. Iwadate's work, recognized for its emotional depth, became a significant inspiration for trailblazers like best-selling novelist Banana Yoshimoto and avant-garde manga artist Kyoko Okazaki. In 1993, when Miyadai wrote his book, Iwadate's fame and respect probably made her a more recognizable figure for readers to associate with the category.
Tumblr media
Iwadate's soft girly art and story-telling made her extremely popular and influential.
Mariko Iwadate's narrative, especially her post-80s work, has a more psychological and mature element to it when compared to Ribon's artists. She, as an artist, bridged the gap between "otometique" and another highly influential "Iwadate domain" artist, Fusako Kuramochi.
Fusako Kuramochi, debuting while still a teen in the early '70s at Bessatsu Margaret (Betsuma), initially emulated her favorite artists, Moto Hagio and Keiko Takemiya, before finding her style—a realistic portrayal of romance with a substantial psychological element. Her success contributed to shaping Betsuma, alongside Ribon, as arguably the most influential and commercially thriving shoujo title -- the go-to magazine for high school rom-com.
Like the otometique artists, Fusako Kuramochi first gained prominence with short stories and one-shots. In 1979, she wrote her first series, "Oshiaberi Kaidan," in which each chapter depicted the life of a young girl from junior high to her graduation day. In 1980, she published "Itsumo poketto ni Chopin," a classical music manga that also dealt with growing up as a teenager in the city. From then on, she'd publish about two hit series every year in Betsuma before graduating successfully to adult women's manga in 1994.
Kuramochi's success was due to her great skill in portraying girls going through crushes, heartbreaks, and jealousy. The psychological elements struck a chord with readers and helped her create male romantic leads that were extremely popular.
Another component of Kuramochi's work was her sophistication, a result of her upbringing. Her father was the chairman of one of Japan's biggest printing companies, and she was raised in Shibuya, in the center of Tokyo, while attending an exclusive all-female institution. The fact she spent her youth in the middle of Tokyo's hustle and bustle meant she knew the capital well, and her works were full of references to trendy cafes, restaurants, nightspots, and neighborhoods. Her Betsuma work was published right before and during Japan's ostentatious Bubble years, so many chasing an exciting city life referred to her work.
While her stories reflected the reality and aspirations of the Bubble years, Kuramochi's true gift lay in providing readers with a realistic depiction of growing up and falling in love, making her work immensely popular. In general, consumerism -- displayed through clothes, accessories, and decor -- isn't as crucial to her success as the three Ribon "otometique" artists.
While Fusako Kuramochi is part of the "Iwadate domain," you can argue that Kuramochi evolved into her own category, which was vital for the development of real-life love stories in shoujo in the '80s and '90s and the rise of other highly-influential artists like Ryo Ikuemi.
But going back to the three '70s movements, "otometique"/"Iwadate domain" was definitely the most influential one in steering shoujo manga in its current direction. On the other hand, all of these domains co-existed together and fed from each other. In 1977, during the "otometique" boom, Yukari Ichijo remained untouched as one of Ribon's most popular artists with her emotionally charged dramas. It was the success of Ichijo and other "Satonaka domain" artists that allowed the "Hagio domain" to debut and take risks. In turn, it was the "Hagio domain" that showed there were rewards for young risk-taking shoujo artists.
Tumblr media
Yumiko Oshima, known for her girly art and sensitive story-telling, is the inspiration behind the otometique boom.
When asked which artist inspired them the most, both A-ko Mutsu and Mariko Iwadate gave the same answer: Yumiko Oshima. Oshima, known for her quirky love stories and girly art, is an artist who trained alongside Hagio and Takemiya at the Oizumi salon and rose as part of the "Year 24 group," publishing risk-taking manga in Shogakukan and Hakusensha's magazine after a brief stint in Weekly Margaret. In other words, despite the striking differences, the origin of the "Iwadate domain" is the "Hagio domain."
While the influence of the idealized real-life romance is the one we can better observe today, contemporary shoujo would not exist if not for all these three styles meshing together and creating something new. And from that, things kept evolving and changing and gaining new forms. Because, once again, manga, and especially shoujo manga, is about reflecting the girly ideals of its time.

Ok I posted one of these earlier and it got me thinking about possible Milgram song covers. So here are some songs I’d love to see the Milgram cast sing. (Only the girls cause I hate hearing men sing ❤️). Yes I know my knowledge of Japanese songs is extremely limited and basic. Don’t judge me lol.
Yuno- Ok this is kinda weird and on the nose but Coin Locker Baby. My thought process is that her tone switch from first to second was pretty drastic, so they might decided to go even darker with trial 3. And I think it’d be fun to see her sing this lol. Yuno’s pretty universal though so she could sing just about any song and it’ll be good
Fuuta- okay breaking my rule of no guys lol, but I feel like R.I.P in the Gossip Sea would be so fitting for him.
Muu- I adore Muu’s voice, and I think she would absolutely KILL Abnormality Dancin’ Girl. Other options could be Hated By Life Itself, Rolling Girl, Bitter Choco Decoration, etc. You get the vibe I’m going for, yeah?
Mahiru- Again, amazing voice, and I think Patchwork Staccato would be pretty fitting for her! Maybe I’m biased cuz I love the song but idk. Other options could be Love Trial or drop pop candy. Anything about love goes well with Mahiru lol.
Amane- Lowkey no clue. (Side note, her last cover was kinda weird. Like… that song was not appropriate for a child character). Maybe her voice would fit Hate it! Hate it! Huge Ego, but it doesn’t match with her personality that well. Bad Apple!!! is always an easy one to cover, and maybe they could do Dance of the Corpses or Aishite if they wanna do something darker lol.
Kotoko- as I said in a previous post USSEWA BY ADO. It’s legit perfect.

World building and theories of Engage
Marni
Marin is known as ‘Marron’ in the Japanese version. I can understand the reason for the localisation change, ‘Marni’ is a much more recognisable name in the West, unfortunately it affects the intended meaning of her name. Marron is French for chestnut, specifically products made from chestnuts such as: crème de marrons (chestnut cream), marrons confits (candied chestnuts) and marrons glacés (glazed chestnuts). In Japan, the chestnut is associated with autumn. Around the world, chestnuts have been a staple part of people's diets from thousands of years, Due to the plentiful supply they have come to symbolise abundance and longevity. Longevity is not something Marni benefits from, she dies young at the hands of Zephia. The memory of her sacrifice to try and save Lady Veyle does have longevity, Veyle will remember her for the rest of her long existence.
In medieval Europe candied chestnuts were given as gifts by royalty. They were considered a valuable gift to receive. In the Bible, the chestnut was one of 13 foods offered to Baby Jesus, symbolises chastity (immaculate conception of Jesus), virtue and honesty. In Greek mythology children were believed to be found inside old chestnut trees. Artemis, the goddess of children, young animals, the hunt and the forest, turned herself into a chestnut tree to escape Zeus's lust, just like in Christianity, the chestnut is associated with chastity.
Marni is the romanticised image of a Victorian child of upper class status, her apple cheeks, her abundance of bow's and her corkscrew curls are designed to give her a vulnerable sweetness. John Everett Millais painted children with this kind of innocent and sweet appearance. She is dressed like a child and a  porcelain doll. In the Victorian era, a ‘porcelain complexion ‘ was considered the ideal standard of beauty. Dolls would be adorned with an armada of accessories to protect them from the sun, just like what a lady would wear to keep her skin from tanning. A doll prepared children for adulthood. Marni has her bonnet, gloves and her shield.
Marni represents the fragility of a porcelain doll. Delicate porcelain dolls were given to children as a declaration of wealth. To avoid such a fragile toy was a symbol of wealth but so was the statement that the parents could afford to endlessly repair or replace the doll. Marni is the doll who can be replaced if she is damaged. She is also the plaything of Zephia and Sombron, who can manipulate her with praise to do what they want.
On her head is an elaborately decorated fanchon with frills, bows and pleats. Her dress is an armoured and fabric variant of a ruffle dress, once again decorated with feminine designs such as bows and hearts. Her leg armour and sabatons mirror the rest of her design. Pink is used as it is the colour associated with little girls.

Important HC about my OC Atskuo Hamato;
-She and Mikey are twins, unlike Donnie and Leo they're completely blood related TWIN! Having the same mom and dads (Turtle and splinter).
- She calls Leo by "Lily", Donnie by " DeeDee", Mikey by "Mimi" and Raph by "Raphie", she also calls April by " Apple " or when she's mad she calls her "October" 🤣
-Atskuo and Mikey spend half the day together! If you're looking for one of them you're gonna find the other with.
-Atskuo's favorite brother is Leo and that makes her and Mikey argues about "Who's the better 2nd brother" since Raphael's the first.
- Atskuo's mystic ability relate to plants and flowers, much like poison ivy.
- Despite Donnie begin her last favorite brother she still loves him and even spends time with him in his garden.
Her duo names are;
🩷🧡: Sugar & Spice (lol sometime get named *Powerpuff turtles*) or Arts & Rthyem (Mikey's talent is arts and cooking while Atskuo is in music and singing).
🩷💜: Glitter bomb, Miracle garden (reference to Dubai's biggest garden miracle garden).
🩷💙: Star an' fan (means leo's the star and Atskuo is his number 1 fan) or milkshake.
🩷❤: Rose an' thorns (means Atskuo's the rose and Raphael's the thorns that's protecting her) or heart candies.
🩷🤍 (Atskuo and splinter duo): Warm soup (Atskuo isn't going crazy in like her brothers and since splinter is old she would go at his pace) or Dango (a Japanese sweet Splinter loved as a child and a sweet Atskuo loves to eat).
🩷💛 (Atskuo and April): Glitter news or girl power.
🩷💚 (Atskuo and CJ): glitter Treasure or soft blanket (SB).

My OCs/Lovechildren of Record Of Ragnarok
So, it seems I have a new obsession: "Record of Ragnarok", or "Shuumatsu no Valkyrie". Going down the fanfictions in A03, Wattpad and Spirit, I now have a lot of ships! And, as usual to me, I ended up creating children for them -\_:v_/- and yeap, all of them born of mpreg! lol I still have to find the will to draw them, but for now I'll just write their profiles, since I've been writing a lot these last days:
Jun, Astrid and Gunnar:
17, 13 and 10 years old, respectively;
children of Lü Bu and Thor;
all of them were carried and born from Thor;
appearance: Jun is like a younger and without scars version of Lü Bu, with his long hair in a ponytail, and has Thor's yellow eyes with black sclera. Astrid has long red hair combed in two braids she keeps in front of her chest, and has yellow eyes with white sclera and a mark resembling a lightning on her face. Gunnar has short red hair and Lü Bu's eyes and pointing teeth.
Jun is the oldest, so he's responsible, serious and a great fighter. His weapon of choice is a spear;
Astrid is a viking teenager: annoyed all the time, poker face 24/7, will fight you if you look wrong at her, can break your arm in a single twist;
Gunnar is a little tasmanian devil! He can't control himself, wants to pick a fight with anybody, and likes to jump like a frog. (Why? Idk)
Thea and Nami:
14 and 9 years old, respectively;
daughters of Sasaki and Poseidon;
both carried and born from Poseidon;
appearance: Thea looks a lot like poseidon, but her hair is black, as well as her eyes. She wears a blue dress in a greek goddess style and a lot of golden jewelry. Nami is blonde and has blue eyes, and wears a blue japanese kimono.
Thea, the heir of the throne of the seas, is as snob, obnoxious, and arrogant as any princess.
Nami doesn't care about rules or anything at all, she just want to have friends. Sasaki gives her lessons with a wooden sword.
Alexander and Elizabeth:
11 and 8 years old, respectively;
children of Heracles and Jack;
both carried and born from Jack;
appearance: Alex is a mini version of Heracles, but with short spiked silver hair, and sky blue eyes. Beth has long and wavy orange hair and eyes with different colors, one red and one ice blue. They wear clothes like victorian english children.
"Alexander" means "guardian of people" or "defender of humanity", fitting to a son of Heracles. He's kind, helpful, innocent... In fact, so helpful and innocent that he forgets about himself and would be used by others if wasn't for his sister.
Elizabeth is a little british lady, with such good manners and has a special love for apple pie. She has Jack's red eye, capable to see people's emotions. She may look as innocent as her brother, but in fact, she's smarter and never let anybody uses him.
Mohan, Ravi, Neesha, Anik and Indira:
quintuplets, 9 years old;
children of Raiden and Shiva;
all carried and born from Shiva;
appearance: Mohan and Ravi have Raiden's skin color, black hair, Raiden's eyes and one pair of arms; Neesha has Shiva's purple skin, black hair, Raiden's eyes and one pair of arms; Anik has Shiva's purple skin, Raiden's hair color, Shiva's eyes (only two), and two pairs of arms; and Indira has Raiden's skin color, his hair, Shiva's eyes (all of them) and two pairs of arms.
Mohan and Ravi are the trickster twins, taking advantage of people to steal money from them and buy candy. Neesha is the shy and quiet girl, who loves art. Anik loves music and knows to play a lot of instruments. And Indira is the crazy one, the one who speaks loud and dare to fight anyone who irritates her or her siblings.
Mei-Hui:
11 years old
only daughter of Hades and Qin;
carried and born from Qin;
appearance: long and straight black hair combed in two buns and Hades' violet eyes.
cheerful, helpful without being naive, forgetful, gossip girl. Has Qin's ability to feel other's weaknesses. Loves fashion and everything that's luxurious.
Dantalion:
12 years old
only son of Nikola and Beelzebub;
carried and born from Beelzebub;
appearance: black wavy hair, blue eyes with dark circles under them, never smiles, all black clothes in the same style as Nikola's.
gloomy, depressive, genius of the group, loves more books and experiments than people and gods. Has a special and dark craving to make experiments on humans, but Nikola doesn't allow it.
I have other ships, but didn't make children for them: Adam and Eve (they already have the whole humanity as children, plus Caim and Abel), Buda and Loki (Loki already has his children, which Buda loves them as if they were his), and my crack pairing: Zeus and Odin (yeah, I know) (they're old and already have adult children).

Obey Me 25 Days of Ficmas 2022 Day 1: Shopping for gifts
Pair: Lucifer and Mammon
Lucifer dragged Mammon along into the crowded Devildom mall. Mammon was always trustworthy and closer to their younger brother's than Lucifer was, so he was necessary. Yet, he was also annoying.
They stopped at the mall's Savonne first. The store sold bathing products. Mammon rushed around at lighting speed, looking at everything, grabbing every item that fit in his arms.
Lucifer continued to stare at the first display, observing the products.
Quickly, Mammon rushed back, "I've found the best stuff fer Asmo!"
He sighed, aware that this would happen, "We aren't buying him that many bath products. He has plenty as it is. You can choose two of those, and I'll get one."
Mammon thinks this through, "Kay, I'll find the best two possible!"
Lucifer continues to look, eventually finding his own item as Mammon ran around returning anything that he thought wasn't good enough, which was most of it anyway. Half his pile was just hand sanitizer.
Soon enough, the younger returned, "I found the best of the best! Though, I don't really get the point of most these. Who uses feet lotion? Why not just use regular lotion?"
He rolled his eyes, gesturing for Mammon to get to the point, "Oh, my bad! Here's what I got! There's a rose gold shower oil. Which, fer the record, I have no idea what rose gold smells like. Ain't that a color? Sure, there's roses, but what does gold smell like. Ta me, gold smells like greed. But, they can't put greed inta shower oil? So what is it really? It doesn't smell like gold or greed!"
"Mammon," The younger looked up.
"My bad, again," He smiled sheepishly, "Then I also have a whipped rainbow poison body butter. It's s'pposed ta have multiple scents swirled together. I mean, look at those colors! What'd ya get?"
He held up a tomato charcoal face mask. It sounded interesting enough, and was definitely something Asmo would use. And it wasn't super cheap or anything, so he'd actually use it.
Lucifer gestures to Mammon, accepting his two items. Lucifer would be the one checking out. He wouldn't give Mammon the satisfaction, after all.
They next went to a Japanese themed store. It had figures, snacks, chopsticks, stuffed animals, anime merchandise, and other Japanese or anime related things or products.
This is a place that Mammon would come in handy. Lucifer didn't know too much about Levi's interests. Sure, he tried to listen and heard some, but he wasn't too knowledgeable. He also didn't know which figures Levi had already.
They stepped over to the huge glass cases. The cases were filled with a ton of different figures, all separated by anime.
Through their search they found a Christmas Ruri-chan, some girl called Rem wearing a circus themes outfit, and one named Hinata wearing a provocative outfit. Well, they were all provocative. All of Levi's anime woman were.
They also bought two winter themed Japanese snack boxes. One was for Beel, as he loved to eat anything, and it was different to his usual Devildom food. And then the other was for Levi, to fill all of his Otaku fantasies.
They checked out. Lucifer handed Mammon the huge bag, one he stuffed the last gifts into too.
Next store was called Akuma. It was a geeky pop culture store.
He could probably find different things for a lot of the brothers here. Today was dedicated to shopping for the younger brother's. Lucifer would shop for Mammon and anyone else another day.
They split up, searching for items. Eventually, they met up, going over their finds, double checking that everything would be good.
For Levi, Lucifer found a manga collection for an anime with an unnecessarily long title. Mammon found two funko pops and a candy relating to some meme.
For Satan, Lucifer found socks with cats reading books with circular glasses, a star themed nightlight, and sour apple candies. Mammon got a Hello Kitty themed ramen. Lucifer made him put it back. It was obviously a ripoff. It was normal ramen with a character on the front. Though, he did also find a super long calico cat pillow.
For Asmo, Lucifer got him a color projector. Mammon got him a DVD for a movie he enjoys, a mini bird charm, and a bunny plush that matches his hair.
For Beel, they both got him multiple snacks. Lucifer also got him a pair of socks that had burgers on them and a small puppy plush.
For Belphie, Lucifer got him a cow plush and a phone holder for when he was too tired to hold it himself. Then, Mammon got found a small gummy sushi pack. It was probably a stupid gift, but Lucifer let it slide.
They went to a couple other stores, gaining arms full of bags. After they were finished at the mall, they even stopped at a couple other stores, such as Majolish.
They gained even more gifts, plenty of them even. But, Lucifer loved to spoil his brothers. So, it was okay.
Even if he thought the idea of demon's celebrating Christmas was dumb when Diavolo first proposed it, he's grown to love it.
Christmas was an excuse to spoil his brothers, show them how much he truly loved them.
Gift giving was better then getting gifts for him.
And if Lucifer not only went on Akuzon, but also went to other stores different days after he was 'done', well, no one would be brave enough to say anything.
His brothers deserved the best Christmas. They had been through hell, after all.

Chapter 20: Test Your Cell Occasionally
While studying for the finals with Hiroshi, Eko puts a bunch of laundry clips on her face. Why? To give herself pain so that she doesn't fall asleep!
Tumblr media
How many does she need?
Tumblr media
Clever girl.
On Exam Day, they get the results of the midterm exams. Hiroshi is ranked 367th in his class so his "friends" Yoshitaka and Eko make fun of him for being stupid...even though Yoshitaka is ranked 652nd. And their school has 2000 students...
Tumblr media
Next, the students have to turn in their cell phones before the exam. The teacher, somehow managing to identify Eko as a phone, nervously asks her to get in a box before the exam starts. Eko answers she is a cell phone but she still wants to take the exam. The teacher tells her to just lie and say she's a student then. Eko keeps repeating that she's a cell phone while tearing up...so the teacher just caves in and lets her take it.
Tumblr media
During the math portion of the exam, Hiroshi is having trouble but Eko is a living calculator so she should have no trouble, right? Yeah...the teacher says calculators are banned during the exam. Turns out Eko sucks without a computer (her brain?) helping her.
Tumblr media
Eko summons Sato the Mail Ninja to help her, teling him to go look at Natsukawa's sheet so that she can copy. Sato tries to tell her that his mother said not to do dishonorable things...but she gives him candy so he accepts his mission. Sato travels through electrons to get to the desk...only for the teacher to knock him out with a eraser, saying cheating is prohibited.
Tumblr media
On Hiroshi's side, he's not good at math but he studied hard for geography. The problem? All of the geography questions are about cell phones.
Tumblr media
The next questions are health and physical education. Hiroshi's question? At what age do girls breasts enlarge?
Tumblr media
(Got some fucking creeps on the exam committee, that's for sure.)
Meanwhile Kawasumi, who is 2nd in class, is trying to think of a way to start a conversation with Hiroshi before she spots him and Eko. She settles on asking him about the annual camping trip but he and Eko are too wiped out from the exam to talk to her so they go right by her.
During Kawasumi's English Exam, one of her test questions has a guy named Hiroshi in it. Hiroshi is an exchange student to America and Bob invites him to his house to get to know him more personally. Kawasumi promptly flags down the teacher to complain about Bob being too friendly.
Tumblr media
Next, she has to translate an English phrase into Japanese. Bob has six apples...six apples? How can he afford that much?! Especially since she and her brothers are barely making ends meet...she flags down the teacher again to complain about Bob being too luxurious.
Tumblr media
Taeko Ebisawa (the mechanic) is taking her engineering exam, specifically the practical test in industrial technology. They have to build a radio with the materials located in the room. They have 30 minutes to do it. The other students are having trouble but Taeko does it in five minutes: its a radio of Anman-Man, the superhero from that movie chapters ago. It works too.
Tumblr media
Next up, Ryu finishes his test in ten minutes, to the awe of the other students. But it's alright! He's ugly as fuck without his glasses!
Tumblr media
The vice president sings well enough to pass her music exam. Then Eko begins to sing...and gets flower drawing for a grade.
The chapter ends with everybody going home from the exams.
