Okay scoy thoughts ep1

Stalker thing aside, ive seen a lot of love for this show and i really like a lot about it already so im giving it a chance, living with it, seeing how it goes.

Friendship groups are the best thing about it so far hands down. Even the somewhat cringy humour works because it's the groups' humour. They have fun like this and that's fun, they found each other and that's so good. It works. There's real acceptance and love in all of this and that makes the whole thing beautiful.

I really like the visuals. The bold choice with the blue on everyone, the colors standing out so much, it's just really really pretty

Stalkerism aside, Toh daydreaming in his bed was such a gooood intimate scene, like you could see and feel the tsunami of emotions in him, the tension , the everything, i remember someone saying that the intimate scenes in this feel like they just cared a lot more about making a scene where the characters were into it than making a scene to make it look good enough to make sure the audience is into it, and i think i kinda see it even now. (and there's real potential with the whole "how could i live up to the fantasy" thing but im not sure they'll go there)

They start like, he took a photo and fell in love and oh he kept the (little shiny paper thing they throw to celebrate what's it called) sweet (and to me leyton vibes, which, yes) and then it just gradually builds and builds until you realise the levels of this.

So N knows about the situation and he didn't seem particularly bothered by it, no, he seemed amused and kind of into it but he threw the tangeries out , mixed signals (to me).

I did not know the gap girls were in it, yay. In that slowmo first walk as a group they kinda knocked the air out of me. Wow. Im fine. Ill recover. (The girls, my bi attack came later)

(at first i thought jaosky were the main couple because there was mor focus on jao during the pep rally but maybe not and they're not and whatever)

It has the potential to be fun and wholesome and unhinged all at the same time , we'll see if we get there.

But like I have been rewatching it, and I keep going back to no one really asks Jao why, like why he can’t believe Sky could sincerely like him, or how he looks disappointed but just goes along with his friends despite his clear discomfort. Idk if I am making sense. Like I understand their rule or where 3 go 4 go together etc. but I just incision his internal sadness of every time no one considers his why (whatever his internal deep root fear/concern/etc base is) but then I notice like that is kind of how Sky sort of gets his sincerity in cause he sees some of it… but still Sky never asks or comprehends the root of his fear… idk … I left an open prompt too in that BL prompt that is similar to this but with a BDSM element because I love the idea of it getting to where Sky shows completely his appreciate of Jao and he has no reason to fear, but these deep-seated issue also just don’t go away, regardless of Sky’s consistency. There will always be girls like Peach making him uncomfortable etc.

Secret Crush On You - the good, the bad, the ugly

Harsh I know given that we’ve only had one episode but I have deeply mixed feelings... Good:  a femme boy as a lead. Bad: he’s an obsessed stalker (and no, dressing it up as a crush doesn’t make it anything other than creepy).

Good:  girls in the friend groups (and two look like they’ll end up as a couple).  Bad: it looks like we’ll have a faen fatale* incoming.

Good: a nice little queer bbf group with secret crush rules. Bad: they’re the only ones acting like they’re in a comedy pastiche.

 Oh, and The Ugly are the uniforms, which are making my eyes bleed.  Why? Not even Saint could save them.

Tonally all over the place and I suspect I’ll be only watching for the second couple of Jao (who is the MVP of the group) and Sky.

Episode 2 - the uniforms are still ugly and nobody seems to possess an iron. 

Nuea’s friend group and sister seem to be from a completely different show although the girlfriend is shaping up to be a traditional bitch on wheels.  

Toh is still irritating and creepy and I don’t know how the uni alpha is going to fall for him in *checks notes* 4 more episodes. It’s more likely he’ll end up being locked in a box under Toh’s bed - possibly vacuum packed.  And two of his 3 friends are enabling and encouraging this insanity.

Jao continues to be the most relatable and sensible person in his friend group and his little thing with Sky is literally the only reason to continue watching.

Who does he think he is? The angry and barely hushed voice of one of his fellow kitchen witches said. 

I don’t know but I know he sure as hell isn’t good enough to have Sky as his familiar. “ Another familiar voice responded and Jao couldn’t help but agree. He had no idea how he’d gotten Sky to answer his call for a familiar. The goblin could have anyone he desired but he’d chosen to answer Jao. He felt his cheeks heat up as he tried to ignore their words despite how he agreed with them. It wouldn’t do any good for one his soul bond with Sky - that one no one knew about, was that emotions could be felt between them. It was moments like this that Jao wished their bond was more like Daisy and Intouch’s where what was written on their skin mirrored on the other. 

He felt the vibration in his pocket. Before answering, Jao made sure that his potion was fine before pulling out his phone. 

From My Sky: Is everything alright?

To My Sky: Yes of course. I’m just nervous about this potion.

From My Sky: Baby, why do you even try? I can feel that’s not what you’re really feeling.

To My Sky: I…

“Khaojao are you ready?” the teacher’s voice brought him back to class. Jao stuffed his phone immediately in his pocket and nodded respectfully. He would talk about this Sky and not do it via text. He knew Sky would get anxious but he’d like it better if they talked in person. 

Just like he predicted, by the time his potions class was done he could almost taste Sky’s anxiety. 

To My Sky: Phi I am hungry will you have lunch with me?

From My Sky: Meet you in the canteen.

To My Sky: See you there.

At that Jao made his way towards the canteen. He hated that they had to have this conversation again but Sky had told him that they could talk about anything. The anxiety from Sky was making Jao a little nervous too but he needed to be brave. They needed to move past this so that their bond would not just be strong as witch and familiar but as soulmates. 

“There you are baby!” Sky happily stood from where he was sitting at a table. Thankfully having already gotten their lunch. Jao didn’t have time to think about what was waiting to be eaten. Sky pulled him into a hug and traced his nose to the shell of his ear sniffing him. A different wave of emotions swept through their connection - Sky’s utter happiness and desire from being in Jao’s presence, holding him; then there was Jao’s where he was trying to keep his anxiety at bay while also trying to welcome Sky’s warmth. 

“Now let’s talk.” Sky took charge, giving Jao the extra time to think. Which proved to be in both of their favors. Sky was a good listener and waited for Jao to get everything out. Jao couldn’t help but feel a little ashamed after everything they’d already gone through to still have this problem. However, Sky wasn’t going to let him carry that weight. No, he wanted Jao to be brave and confident in their relationship.

“Baby…Jao.” Sky started, pulling Jao from his thoughts as he reached over to gently take Jao’s hand. “You’re my soulmate and I don’t care what they think. I care what you think. When we talk about our dreams and what that might be like. I know one thing for sure…“ He smiled warmly at Jao, lifting that hand to press a kiss to the back of the other’s delicate hand. “...that dreams do come true. Because I found you. You reached out with that summoning familiar spell and I’ve been lucky ever since.”

Jao could only think that he was the lucky one. That the man who adored him was truly happy he’d found him as he felt the love and devotion come through their bond. He poured all of his own right back to Sky. And the smile he got made his heart skip a beat. Jao lifted their hands this time to press a kiss of his own on the back of Sky’s hand. “I love you.” 

“I love you too.” Sky beamed before moving to try to get Jao to eat from his hand. Which for a few bites Jao obliged before taking over his own plate.

Secret Crush on You ep. 13 mini review ✐∗  ˖࣪ ༻

rating 𓄷 9.5 - by far my favorite episode, and I know I say that every episode, but no, seriously, this one was it.

Okay, was not expecting that turnout with Nuea finding out about Toh's secret memorabilia. I for sure thought they were going to make it hella corny, with Nuea jumping onto Toh to confess how horny Toh's collection made him. But no, this was done with precious timing and perfect detail, casting over our initial problem with Toh feeling like his relationship wouldn't last and Nuea reassuring him that it will. They shared a pretty hefty moment together, and I'm glad we were able to finally get a moment with them that felt vulnerable and exquisite. For once, I didn't mind that they took up most of the run time.

Sky and Jao.??????? Literally it was perfect??? and everything and more than I wanted it to be?????? Genuinely, I wasn't expecting a bed scene from Jao and Sky, cause I would've 100 percent accepted it, but the fact that we did get one, twice in one episode, is crazy. They were so soft with one another, Sky made sure to be gentle, yet he let Jao know beforehand he didn't know how much he could hold back. I have never seen such desire in Jao's eyes but it was clearly there, and gosh was it amazing. Just to see Jao even be the one to somewhat make the first move to show that he didn't mind that Sky touched him or kissed him -- urgh, it was too good. I finally feel complete with this couple, and Now Jao is not afraid to show intimacy even around his friends, God, these creators are geniuses.

A crumb and a half of Daisy and Intouch. I'm scared at this point that they'll be rushed into oblivion. Next week is the LAST episode, and we've gotten next to nothing. What I'm thinking will happen is that we'll either get a flashback to moments that they've had together off-screen while we were busy with Nuea and Toh, or they'll explain that they've been in a relationship for so time now. Either way, it'll suck because I want to follow along with o their journey, not halfway to their destination.

As much as love Kongkwan and Fong, there was no reason to have them in this series if they weren't going to do anything but give us nothing. I know they're getting their own series, but they just feel lackluster here, to the point that they are basically irrelevant. I wish we could actually see some development between the two. Instead, they're just there.

Like I thought, there was no need to add Kong into the series for the very unnecessary drama. It's so irrelevant that it makes me angry. It does nothing to destroy Nuea and Toh, Toh doesn't think any less of himself because of it, and it's just pure stupidity. With the time they took out to introduce this conflict they could've used it for our two other relationships that have zero development.

They didn't show any Daisy and Touch for the next episode and so now I'm a bit nervous. Again, they most likely are going to have a secret relationship, because, at this point, it would be absurd to have them get together in the one episode we have left. Either that or they're friends with benefits since Touch isn't afraid to say some flirty shit out of the blue.

One of the best parts of the sex scene between Sky and Jao is that it is entirely pink and bathed in pink light and themed entirely after Jao. This is Sky in Jao's space, showing him this world but showing him the world in his space, in his comfort zone and it's beautiful.

But never, ever telling him not to eat. He brings him a popsicle, he brings him dinner, he encourages him constantly. It's beautiful.
