Must Watch if you are curious about Stephen Hawking. It’s a good, emotional story. I am super curious about the polyamorous relationship but I think it is in service to the story not to make it play a bigger part.

The Theory of Everything is a 2014 biographical romantic drama film directed by James Marsh. It was adapted by Anthony McCarten from the 2007 memoir Travelling to Infinity: My Life with Stephen by Jane Hawking. It stars Eddie Redmayne and Felicity Jones, with Charlie Cox, Emily Watson, Simon McBurney, Christian McKay, Harry Lloyd, and David Thewlis.

What about a canon AU where Hawke needs to somehow buy her way into Kirkwall after fleeing the Blight with her family, but working for the smugglers isn't enough? What if Varric needs a wife ASAP before Bianca's family kills him and he hears about this newly washed-up refugee from a formerly well-respected noble bloodline who's been working odd jobs for questionable people to keep herself and her family afloat? What if he decides to take a look for himself and watches her for a few days and realises she's EXACTLY what he needs to deal with dwarven politics? What if he makes her an offer she can't refuse and they're married before the day is over and the Hawke family is moved into Varric's mansion? What if Dragon Age 2 becomes a green card AU?

I was just thinking about the through lines of Elizabeth's characterization and her relationship with Darcy, and I'm really fond of this one:

[Mrs Bennet:] “Ay, that is because you [Bingley] have the right disposition. But that gentleman,” looking at Darcy, “seemed to think the country was nothing at all.” “Indeed, mamma, you are mistaken,” said Elizabeth, blushing for her mother. “You quite mistook Mr Darcy.”

Elizabeth tried hard to dissuade him [Mr Collins] from such a scheme; assuring him that Mr. Darcy would consider his addressing him without introduction as an impertinent freedom, rather than a compliment to his aunt; that it was not in the least necessary there should be any notice on either side, and that if it were, it must belong to Mr Darcy, the superior in consequence, to begin the acquaintance. [...]with a low bow he left her to attack Mr Darcy, whose reception of his advances she eagerly watched, and whose astonishment at being so addressed was very evident. Her cousin prefaced his speech with a solemn bow, and though she could not hear a word of it, she felt as if hearing it all, and saw in the motion of his lips the words “apology,” “Hunsford,” and “Lady Catherine de Bourgh.”

At such a moment, the arrival of her friend was a sincere pleasure to Elizabeth, though in the course of their meetings she must sometimes think the pleasure dearly bought, when she saw Mr Darcy exposed to all the parading and obsequious civility of her husband.

Any place would do of about three or four hundred a year; but, however, do not speak to Mr Darcy about it, if you had rather not." As it happened that Elizabeth had much rather not, she endeavoured in her answer to put an end to every entreaty and expectation of the kind. Such relief, however, as it was in her power to afford, by the practice of what might be called economy in her own private expenses, she frequently sent them.

gets bit during school trip to caltech genetics lab

doesn't believe he has powers at first and the broken sink is just faulty mounting

accepts he has powers after he unintentionally gets in a fight with kyler because he wouldn't leave eli and miguel alone

configures his own suit, web formula, and web shooters to test out his powers (upgrades his suit after a lot of trial and error in what does and doesn't work)

decides that, like the heroes in his comics, he should use his powers to protect others (though this comes after a LOT of hesitation and only after miguel off-handedly said this random guy swinging around the valley at night should protect more people in need and eli agreed)

gets frustrated at the growing violence in the valley after the green goblin recruited teens as his accomplices (even after he's defeated, the rise in crime continues)

gets tempted by venom after eli joins the green goblin's ranks and forms a personal vendetta against him

venom!demetri is an absolute asshole to eli, tory, and miguel and tries to use sam's company to make them jealous (she's basically a walking status symbol) (samtory are dating and tory gets jealous that she's spending more time with demetri than her gf) (it mainly proves he's an ass to all of them)

venom!demetri also shows less restraint in how ruthless his quips are and in his fights with common criminals and other repeat offenders

he initially blames eli finding out his secret identity for how his life is falling apart (mainly losing miguel and sam's friendship) but realizes he ruined his own life and gets rid of venom

demetri always had a rivalry with tory but still tries to save her from venom with eli

decides to go to caltech with eli after the fight (initially wanted to go to mit but he feels obligated to protect california, whether in the valley or pasadena)

grew up rich but his scar and quiet personality left him a social outcast with demetri

wants to impress miguel at the beginning (his main drive) but grows to want to prove demetri wrong about green goblin

worried about demetri at first but after he becomes more secretive and distant, he grows frustrated and falls into green goblin's trap

hates spider-man after he defeated/killed green goblin (who he viewed as a father figure, no matter how toxic)

takes up the green goblin helm after finding out demetri is spider-man

also a little asshole but just bc he's angry and frustrated from years of being picked on and the fact that demetri kept his second life a secret

helps spider-man/demetri take down venom/tory (even at his own expense)

goes to caltech with demetri

both are secretly jealous about miguel (don't realize their feelings are reciprocated) (demetri tries to use spider-man to distract miguel so he's less focused on eli) (eli tries to use his newfound confidence under green goblin's influence to distract miguel from spider-man/demetri; he also just wants to impress miguel bc he likes him as a friend and thinks he's cool) (neither realizes miguel is straight and interested in sam until after the venom fight)

eli finds out about spider-man's secret identity during his first attempt to kill him when he pulls his mask off, which results in demetri swinging away in panic

demetri's attempt to make eli jealous with sam also kinda works, not as well as it does on tory but eli gets jealous that they act like best friends

eli then messes with demetri outside of their super personas to make him paranoid and on edge (which doesn't take much since he seems to become more snippy with everyone, even miguel and sam)

new goblin tries to kill spider-man in the full green goblin suit but does so in the middle of his venom streak, so he fails and walks away embarrassingly injured

new goblin tries to kill spider-man a third and final time but sees, under spider-man's tattered mask, that his childhood best friend is still in there refusing to hurt him anymore—he switches sides mid-fight and helps spider-man save miguel from venom/tory and take her down

venom/tory nearly kills eli but demetri saves him at the last minute and swings him to a nearby hospital to save his life
