AITA for wanting to date my coworker’s GF?

I (25M) have a really annoying coworker — we’ll call him A (28M) — who I’ve been unfortunately stuck sitting next to for the past few years.

We have a long history. He’s a proven stalker (takes photos of me, documents my outfits, visits my family) and is entirely socially inept. At first I felt pity for him, but it was clear very soon he had no intentions of leaving me alone. I’ve visited him, gone on trips with him, lived with him, gone to dinner — all these things out of pure politeness. If I don’t, he starts panicking and being annoying to everyone else, so I feel obligated to because he sees us as best friends.

I’ve tried moving jobs from New York, but I had to come back to my job because I just didn’t like the environment in LA. And of course because he cried like a baby. I also tried switching desks, but he was way too annoying for anyone else to handle. So I asked to switch back. He’s basically obsessed with me to an unhealthy degree. It kind of makes sense, cause I’m sort of everything he wants to be. Now I just tolerate his shitty antics and bad jokes because it’s my responsibility.

Anyways, recently, he got a girlfriend. I know, I didn’t believe it either. We’ll call her L (~25F?). She’s super cute. She really likes A, she acts a lot like him but in a way that’s actually super hot. At first I was just confused because someone could like A, and not just tolerate him like I do. Then, I felt annoyed. I mean. She obviously could do better? Seeing A look at her with all his attention is frankly gross. He’s never had to split it on two people before. So, like, he’s bad at it. And a bad friend for that.

I try to impress her, but it just makes A impressed. Last week they went on a date together where they flew kites. A knows that I love kites. He watches me fly them sometimes. So he’s taking my hobby that I showed him, and spending time with L. That’s the ultimate betrayal.

I could be flying kites with her.

Now I’m just alone at the office because he texts her all the time. And I don’t even have a girl to spend time with.

Anyways, she’s starting to flirt with me a little. I know she can’t resist for much longer. I’m pretty blazin’. My coworker is a shitty boyfriend anyways, and he constantly doesn’t leave me alone and is obsessed with me, so he sucks as a guy. Morally. Ethically. So I feel like it makes sense to pursue her, even though I know it’s not right. Plus, L totally started it.

So, WIBTA if I swooped in and took L off his disgusting unwashed hands?

UPDATE: She said yes to dating! Unfortunately, she was hit by a bus right after. RIP, girl. A says it’s my fault I “pushed” her but he stabbed me (unrelated) not long after, so I guess we’re fucking even, then, huh?
