Visiting the new @parisbaguette_usa in O'ahu, Hawai'i 🇨🇵🥖

I stopped by the newest Paris Baguette location when they opened in Honolulu, and I was super impressed to see the amount of selection on baked goods and pastries you can order 🍞
//
From an assortment of cakes, a tunnel of croissants, a colorful assortment of macarons, and even coffee/tea, there was no shortage of what would make for a superb tea and snack time ☕️🎂
//
I got to try their rainbow cake slice, strawberry short cake, and chai, and it hit that perfect note of sweetness to satisfy me that evening (plus it was a really cute cake to partake 🍰 what would you want to order if you got to visit the bakery/café? 🤔

Visiting and Photographing at @tabaysmindfulkitchen 🍴

The newest food truck on the Maui food scene is run by @tabayatkins and mother Sahel, and they bring not only mindful vegan food, but also their Persian food culture/cuisine 🇮🇷
//
I tried a selection of items they had - their Steakhouse Burger with Blue Cheese Crumbles was super flavorful and filling, and tasted like any other burger worth its weight 🍔
//
Other things I got to try/friends got to try were their Vegan Loco Moco (made specifically for their time in Hawai'i), their choco-vanilla soft serve, their Persian Kabob Wrap (loved the sauce in this one), and their Sharbat Albaloo (a Persian cherry drink you can find at special occasions) , all of which I'd recommend! You can find them daily at the OGG Truck Pod across of Costco in Kahului daily from 11am - 8pm, but be sure to check their instagram for any updates! 🍽

On my way to pick up some donuts, I actually ran into Okayama Kobo for the first time! I remember hearing positive things about the bakery/cafe, and it was well worth the visit! 🍞

From hot dog paninis, butter rolls, croissants, and lots of tea options, it's a super comfy bakery where you can see everyone hard at work making all the various breads you see on display 🥖🌭
//
I got the matcha sunrise and butter roll for myself, while my friend I went alongside got the Kobokuma! It was really soft and tasty! And I was surprised to see that the roll/croissant I got had cheese in it! If you're looking for a nice play to enjoy a morning/lunch time snack with friends, you should definirely make your way to Okayama Kobo in town! 🍵

Visiting @bigislandcandies in Hilo, Hawai'i 🍫

My journey to Hilo and Merrie Monarch 2024 had me visit Big Island Candies for the first time! I always saw the store they have at @alamoanacenter and thought it was super fancy, but the actual factory in Hilo was HUGE! 🍬
//
As soon as I entered, I got to try both a chocolate sample and 100% Kona Coffee (which was a nice pick-me-up in between my Merrie Monarch adventures) - that day the factory was filled with people from all over buying gifts to bring back home, and there was no shortage of people leaving with goodies that they then started enjoying after buying 🍪
//
Whether it's an omiyage, a pasalubong, or any other form of gift you bring home for your loved ones, you're bound to find something charming and reminiscent of your time in Hilo at Big Island Candies - get some cookies or chocolates for the road, and be sure to try some coffee to perk you up before you go ☕️

Some of my personal favorites were the Créme Brulee Soufflé Pancakes, and all of their tea/fruit juices are super refreshing especially on a hot day in Kaka'ako 🌤

The store is also super cute! They have a crane machine inside the shop, and it offers plenty of space to enjoy your tea time and also do some computer work in peace (plus there's also some @hawaiicandyfactory snacks if you're looking for an extra pick-me-up) - definitely recommend for those looking to beat the heat in style on O'ahu! I always enjoy getting to shake my boba drinks by hand and seeing everything mix together and change colors! The staff is also super nice and overall a must visit for both food and drink needs if you're in the Kahului area - let me know what your favorite menu item is if you've stopped by! 😁
