It was a Jamilton fic. Modern AU. Fake dating. All the good shit. Alex had trouble paying his tuition fee so he asked Jefferson for help. In exchange he had to go with him to Monticello and act like Thomas’ boyfriend for the family. Lots of pining, eventual happy ending etc etc.

Okay so it's been about a week since I last posted and when I did, I felt great about engaging and I made a deal with myself to update on progress this week, because I felt motivated as fuck, and I've continued to feel motivated as fuck this whole week, so I was proud of that progress. Who knows how long it will last, but here's where we're at, and I'm pretty fucking excited about it.

Hamilfans Help!

It’s weird that my first post on here is Hamilton related but I have an inquiry 🤺 So I’m gonna dive deep into some old animatic I can’t find and this surprisingly good fan fiction.

- Does anyone at all remember Mushie R’s Jamilton animatic to the song “Anything You Can Do, I Can Do Better”????? I have spent countless hours trying to find this animatic and it has just vanished off the face of this earth. I genuinely am starting to think that I made it all up. So please, anyone, if you know what I’m talking about, let a fellow know 🙏

- And secondly, there was this fanfiction on Wattpad called “Knackered” and it was a GeorgeSquared fic. Very odd pairing, I know, but the author shockingly made it work (at least I think so, this was 6/7 years ago). This is what I care about more because this fic sadly changed so much for me and it makes me sad that yet another fic was lost to the Wattpad apocalypse. So here’s some deets about it:

Details: 🐁🐁🐁🐁

- Love story between George Washington and King George III

- It gave words that represented the chapters as a whole at the beginning and gave definitions for those words

- Martha Washington played the role of Maria Reynolds???

- King George spoke Latin sometimes and called Washington “Mea”

- The author included the song “Words Ain’t Enough” at the top of a chapter and some fanart was made as well (but I can’t find a trace of that either)

- There was definitely around 30/40 or so chapters

- It ended as some bullshit Christmas story the author was reading to some kids

- There was a sequel to this story that I never read

The Secrets We Keep: Plot Snippet

Summary:

Sniffing out a fellow agent would be an easier task if it was a different situation. Someone who was disloyal or something. But this was hunting someone who likely didn't anticipate it, because whatever they'd done didn't harm the bureau. Certainly, they'd feel betrayed if they knew they were being investigated. Washington certainly would.

Federal agents Hamilton and Jefferson are tasked with uncovering the dirty secrets of their coworkers. James Reynolds is dead, and someone knows what happened.

Excerpt (Chapter One):

The morning traffic in DC was enough to make Alexander feel intense rage. It didn't help that he already didn't particularly enjoy driving, but the added stupidity of other drivers was the shit on the doorstep. Maybe he'd make that a new phrase, like ‘the icing on top’ but for sucky situations.

He should have worked in the New York office. Then, he'd have no reason to drive because who in their right mind drives in New York City? But he'd wanted to be close to the real action, all of the most important people. He wanted to be one of those people. That's how he ended up working as a special agent in Agent Washington’s unit, and he probably wouldn't trade it for anything. Even if getting there every day was a nightmare.

Upon reaching the building, Alexander noticed the car in front of him in the security line. Agent Burr, the first man Alex met when he joined the bureau. Burr was an interesting man, and for a while the two were good friends. Alexander was more ambitious, though, and at some point Burr kind of fell behind. Alex assumed he was afraid to be too vocal, especially because they were supposed to be serious, or whatever. He personally refused to ever sacrifice his personality in order to conform, and he believed more people should live by that.
