hi! i am so sorry that it took nearly a week, but i've finally finished something for you! i've never written jamilton before even though i really like them, so i decided to write a jamilton for u <3 i hope i did them justice and that you enjoy!!
fic below the keep reading
A lively atmosphere and jaunty music were hallmarks in any Martha Washington organised party.
Decadently flavoured hors d'oeuvres passed around the room upon silver trays were devoured in their entirety within the first hour. A live jazz band sets the tune for the night, encouraging the stuffy people this party was thrown for to dance with one another. Small groups congregated together to talk shop, much to the displeasure of their bored, neglected spouses.
It was exactly this environment that Alexander Hamilton despised.
New Year's Eve was at its core a holiday meant to be celebrated with beloved friends, ordering a truly heinous amount of takeout and drinking good alcohol that came with nauseating consequences. Not pretending that champagne is a civilised alcohol that anybody should enjoy drinking, and certainly not watching Thomas Jefferson pretend that champagne is a civilised alcohol that he enjoyed drinking. How was he so skilled at that, anyway? Laughing with high and mighty entrepreneurs and CEOs in that tailored magenta suit, belonging amongst them yet somehow still standing out. Like a beacon of light in the midst of a dark ocean.
“Now, Mister Hamilton, you’re the Treasurer of the company, yes?”
Yet again, Alexander nodded tightly, wondering how George managed to rope him into attending the party this year. George raised an eyebrow from across the circle, encouraging a few more words from Alexander unsuccessfully. A tray of hors d'oeuvres came to the group once again and several chortling executives took one or two each, making quips about ‘being naughty’ and their weights.
Alexander despised them all.
“Gentlemen, do you mind if I steal Hamilton for just a couple moments?”
George’s face darkened upon seeing Thomas behind Alexander, and he glared at the two of them. Alexander tilted his head in confusion, but followed Thomas away as those despicable businessmen waved goodbye. Usually, he would vehemently decline to follow Thomas Jefferson anywhere on principle of the matter, however, in this moment the need to escape outweighed his principles. Thomas led him through corridors and stairs until they reached a balcony on the second floor, overlooking the full moon hanging from the night sky. Below rested a parking lot, with white daffodils approaching the entrance of the building.
“Why did you do that for me?”
Thomas stared out to the sky, silent for a long minute. Then he turned to Alexander, arching his eyebrows, a mask of casual indifference. If he was able to successfully convince himself he doesn’t care about Alexander now, then perhaps he will start the New Year peacefully.
“I can’t be in a giving mood?”
Alexander frowned. “Christmas season has passed, buddy, explain yourself.”
He did not just see through the mask, but viscerally tore it away from his face. Alexander would like to think that he had always been able to see past the role that Thomas Jefferson played. That only he could see the condescending nature behind his pretty smiles and something other than mischief in those gorgeous eyes. What was behind those big brown eyes whenever he fought with Alexander? Alexander wanted nothing more than to know.
“I’ve always hated these parties. I mean, Martha works really hard to get it organised each year and the food is always good, it’s just the people here, you know?”
Alexander wrinkled his nose in agreement.
“Yeah, a lot of despicable people here. Only one of them is on this balcony here with me.”
“Aw, don’t talk about yourself like that, sweetheart.”
A dark pink flush across his cheeks and ears, warming Alexander’s face even as the cool breeze brushed past him. He glanced up at Thomas, who smiled widely at him, head cocked to the side. Not a smirk, but a genuine smile. A beautiful smile, that Alexander could not stare at any longer, or else he would blush a very dark colour indeed. Even with the moon hanging from the sky and the lamp posts in the distance, Thomas’ smile was, to Alexander, still the brightest entity he could see.
“Oh, shut up. Where’s your shadow?”
“You mean Jemmy?” A nod from Alexander. “Don’t call him that. Anyway, he hates these things more than either of us do, so he’s called in ‘sick’.” Thomas air quoted the last word, and Alexander chuckled. “Washington hasn’t noticed that James hasn’t attended six of these parties in a row, the lucky bastard. He spends his New Year’s Eve with his cats.”
“Maybe not so lucky then. I mean, his cats, really? Bit sad.”
Thomas rolled his eyes. “Oh, then who are you spending your New Year’s with, hm?”
“You, apparently. Unless you’re willing to go back inside anytime soon.”
“Oh, hell no. I’d rather be out here.” With you, went unsaid, but not unnoticed by Alexander.
For half a minute, they stood in peaceful silence. Thomas glanced down to his watch with a frown, ten minutes until midnight. They had been outside for a good five minutes, not a very long time, or even long enough to be suspicious. They could afford to stay out here together longer. Briefly, Thomas wondered if they would be able to hear the countdown from where they were.
“We’re having a civil conversation.” Alexander mused, wondrous and a little horrified. How did it come to this? Had they always been capable of civility?
“Someone call the press.” Thomas joked, thinking of all the times they had fought before.
“Someone call Washington!”
The sparks that flew whenever they fought on the opposite ends of meeting rooms or debated over email were still there, just softer. Alexander laughed rambunctiously, almost breathless with disbelief, and Thomas wondered what it would be like to capture that laughter with his lips. No, he needed to dismiss that thought. Thinking about Alexander’s lips would lead to dangerous territory.
Alexander sighed, glancing up at Thomas, whose eyes were wide and focused somewhere below his own eyes. What was he glancing at, anyway? Maybe, this very moment foreshadowed the year that was to come. The daffodils near the entrance, the genuine smile upon Thomas’ face, these both symbolised new beginnings, didn’t they?
Time passed silently, and Thomas glanced down at his watch again.
“One minute until midnight. Do you believe in superstition? Warding off loneliness for the new year, that kind of thing? The Ancient Romans, the Scottish and the Germans did.”
“Just ask me, Jefferson. Ask me plainly.”
“Can I kiss you?”
Alexander nodded, mouth a little dry. Thomas looked so inviting, at that moment. How many seconds could there possibly be in a minute? How could half a minute suddenly stretch into forever?
The new year would hold all sorts of possibilities, including a handsome man by the name of Thomas Jefferson.
“10! 9! 8!” Shouted the partygoers inside.
“7! 6! 5! 4!”
Thomas bended down, and brought a hand to Alexander’s cheek, tilting his face upward.
“3! 2!”
Alexander swooped up, claiming Thomas’ bottom lip between his own.
“1!”
Incomprehensible screaming followed, but neither man could hear it. Thomas placed his other hand in Alexander’s hair, while Alexander gripped Thomas’ shoulders and pulled him impossibly closer. To think that they wasted so much time fighting when they could have been doing this all along! The same fighting sparks followed them to this embrace, who needed fireworks when the fireworks were right there?
Thomas pulled away, smiling.
“Hamilton.”
“Alex.”
“Happy New Year, Alex.”
“Happy New Year, Thomas.”

“I’m sorry, who are you?”
Alex saw the man pause before his face broke out into this gorgeous grin as he began to laugh. Fuck this man was a vision. Where’d he even come from?
“Haha, very funny, Alexander.”
“I wish I was joking.” And — he really did. He wishes he knew this man’s name and had his number and address memorized.
The man kind of just stares at Alex’s face, smile dropping. “Holy shit, you're not joking.”
Or the one where Alexander gets amnesia and forgets he hates Thomas.

Everyone I’m in a crisis I can’t find a fanfiction this is not a drill🔊
It was a Jamilton fic. Modern AU. Fake dating. All the good shit. Alex had trouble paying his tuition fee so he asked Jefferson for help. In exchange he had to go with him to Monticello and act like Thomas’ boyfriend for the family. Lots of pining, eventual happy ending etc etc.
Please help me I don’t know if I’m dumb (cuz I am) or it’s been deleted

Hamilfans Help!
It’s weird that my first post on here is Hamilton related but I have an inquiry 🤺 So I’m gonna dive deep into some old animatic I can’t find and this surprisingly good fan fiction.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
- Does anyone at all remember Mushie R’s Jamilton animatic to the song “Anything You Can Do, I Can Do Better”????? I have spent countless hours trying to find this animatic and it has just vanished off the face of this earth. I genuinely am starting to think that I made it all up. So please, anyone, if you know what I’m talking about, let a fellow know 🙏
- And secondly, there was this fanfiction on Wattpad called “Knackered” and it was a GeorgeSquared fic. Very odd pairing, I know, but the author shockingly made it work (at least I think so, this was 6/7 years ago). This is what I care about more because this fic sadly changed so much for me and it makes me sad that yet another fic was lost to the Wattpad apocalypse. So here’s some deets about it:
Details: 🐁🐁🐁🐁
- Love story between George Washington and King George III
- It gave words that represented the chapters as a whole at the beginning and gave definitions for those words
- Martha Washington played the role of Maria Reynolds???
- King George spoke Latin sometimes and called Washington “Mea”
- The author included the song “Words Ain’t Enough” at the top of a chapter and some fanart was made as well (but I can’t find a trace of that either)
- There was definitely around 30/40 or so chapters
- It ended as some bullshit Christmas story the author was reading to some kids
- There was a sequel to this story that I never read
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I have an entire quote from the story and yet I still can’t find it. I’ll share it at the bottom but if there’s any GeorgeSquared weirdos out there, please help a fellow out 🐁💕
Quote: “I don’t need your promises, I don’t need your honesty….. All I want is your love… because I could never hate you forever. Even if what happened had broken something we had cherished, I have to learn to let go and look at the alternatives. I was blinded by the thought that I’ve lost you. But in reality,… I still have everything. And with everything, I have lost nothing. Truth be said, Mea, I want to give us another opportunity and chance…. And this time, I’ll hear what you have to say before I jump to any conclusions.” -King George from the fic

jamilton christmas one shot? classic mistletoe conundrum 🙏😩 - ratsnu
yay first oneshot request! i hope you like it, somehow it took me a hot minute to come up with a storyline
Tradition
Alexander had never been the most festive person, especially not when it came to anything that required spending more time with people he liked less and less every day. This was unfortunately the case for every single holiday, as the office party planning committee insisted on having a gathering for each major holiday. Especially Christmas, which was in only five days, meaning this was the last day everyone would be in the office together. Most people took off to spend more time with their families, especially if they had kids, but Alexander was not one of those people. He would be there until Christmas Eve, since apparently he wasn't supposed to come in then. It wasn't like he had anyone who'd be missing him at home.
Office Christmas parties were always especially annoying. Halloween was fun because it was his favorite holiday. He got to dress up and scare people (especially Jefferson), and it wasn't important enough to have an actual party so no one else stayed late. But since Christmas was all about tradition and spending time together, everyone spent an extra few hours at the office and acted like they didn't all barely get along. Alexander had tried to skip out on it a few years back, only to be reprimanded by Washington for ‘not being a team player.’ Boo.
The only upside was that everyone was allowed to bring a plus one to the Christmas party. Most people brought their spouses, such as Madison and his wife or Angelica and her husband. Alexander didn't have a boyfriend, let alone a husband, so he of course brought his best friend instead. John basically worked with him anyways, with how much he had to hear Alexander complain. Mostly about Jefferson, which was a real shame.
For however long Alexander had been with the company, he and Jefferson didn't get along. At this point, Alex honestly didn't even remember what had happened to cause their little rivalry. It was probably something to do with how they met. Thomas always seemed so stuck up, never bothering to talk to people he didn't seem to think were at his level. Alexander thought that was a gross way to act, and when he expressed this Thomas was somehow baffled.
Thomas was alone, which always surprised Alexander. For a man so irritatingly handsome with that much charm, Thomas seemed to be chronically single. That, or he kept even his relationship status under wraps. Alexander honestly knew nothing about Thomas because he never shared anything. He didn't particularly care, though, how interesting could a cliche hot snob be?
“Uhh, Alex, you there?” John said beside him, poking Alexander in the ribs. “You look like you're plotting something, which would be bad.”
Alexander rolled his eyes, waving his hand dismissively at John's words. “Oh, you're dramatic. Not only was I just zoning out, but if I was plotting something it would definitely not be bad.”
John raised his brows, nodding skeptically. “Sure, sure. Whatever I gotta say to stay on your good side, man.” He then gasped dramatically. “Finally! Eliza’s bringing out the desserts. I’m grabbing a brownie before stupid Lee takes them all again.”
“Ooh, grab me one too!” Alex called after John, who was already halfway across the office.
Alex watched as everyone crowded the dessert table like vultures. Eliza’s baking was highly valued by literally everyone, no one had beat her yet.
“Hey Alex,” Angelica said, appearing out of thin air beside him. “Could you do me a super awesome favor and go grab the other jug of punch from the fridge in the break room? A certain someone whose name starts with ‘P’ and ends with ‘eggy’ drank all of the first batch.” She said, shooting her sister a teasing glare.
“Got it,” Alex said, pushing off of the counter he'd been leaning against and heading into the break room. There, he found Thomas, sitting on his own like a weirdo in absolute silence. He wasn't even doing anything on his phone.
He was wearing an absolutely atrocious ugly Christmas sweater, with tinsel and what could've been a horse? Maybe a llama? It was hard to tell. Usually, Thomas seemed to wear neutral matchy clothes, but he went all out for holidays.
“What, did you lose the sweater contest or something?” Alexander teased as he reached the fridge.
“Huh?” Thomas said from behind him.
Alex turned to look at him, motioning his hand towards the other man exaggeratedly. “You're sitting alone in the corner without anything in front of you. Looks kinda weird, so I figured you were moping. Or do you prefer the word brood?”
Thomas rolled his eyes, apparently now understanding that he was being mocked. “Ha ha, so funny. No, actually, I just wanted some peace and quiet for a moment. Thanks for ending that, by the way.”
Alexander grinned, giving a thumbs up. “No problem, dude, any time.” He then turned back to the fridge and grabbed the punch, before he thought of something. Why would Thomas want peace and quiet if he was always making a point to kiss everyone's asses at these parties?
“Hold on,” he said. “You're just..avoiding a party? Aren't parties like, your thing?”
Thomas shrugged. “Nah,” he replied simply. “I think parties are great because everyone gets to hang out and talk about things that aren't work related. But they don't have to talk to me.”
“Of course, you're one of those ‘Christmas is about tradition and bringing everyone together’ people.” Alex said. “I wouldn't expect you to be so cheesy.”
“I wouldn't expect you to be the Grinch. Must be why you insist on wearing green all the time?” Thomas retorted, smiling softly.
Alex shook his head. “Green looks good on me and you know it.”
Thomas only chuckled softly. “Sure.”
There was an awkward silence, which Alexander hated. He turned to grab the punch again, before making his way to the doorway to leave. Only, it seemed that Thomas had the same thought, as they ended up preventing one another from getting out. Thomas did some weird ducking thing before looking up and laughing.
Confused, Alexander looked up as well. Of course, there was a damned mistletoe. “What kind of luck do I have for this to happen?"
He wasn't necessarily upset about the tradition, although he did find it strange. He wasn't even upset that he found himself here with Thomas of all people, who he would kiss in a heartbeat usually. No, Alex was only upset because he knew Thomas would react poorly and they'd probably just argue again.
Thomas looked down at him, smiling in mild amusement. “You know, I haven't heard that one in this situation before.”
“How often do you randomly end up under a mistletoe with someone?” Alexander asked, his brows furrowing up at Thomas.
“Fair enough.” Thomas said, shrugging. The two stared at one another, some kind of tension between them, before the worst possible thing to happen did.
Peggy appeared.
“Alex, what in the world is taking you so long?” She then stopped when she saw the two men blocking the doorway, loudly going, “Ooooh! The drama!”
Alexander rolled his eyes. This is what he got for stupidly confessing to Peggy that he did find Thomas attractive. It's not like he had a little crush or anything! Mostly.
“What drama?” Someone else said, and then for whatever reason more and more people were coming to find out what the ‘drama’ was. Of course, when they saw Thomas and Alex of all people trapped under the mistletoe, everyone wanted to see what would happen next.
“You know, there's literally no reason to do this at all.” Alexander said to Thomas, trying to pretend that all of their coworkers weren't watching them.
Thomas shook his head. “Um, it's bad luck. I personally do not want bad luck going into the new year.” He said, shrugging as if it was totally out of his control.
Alexander sighed. At least Thomas wasn't rudely rejecting the thought of kissing him. Is that what it seemed like he was doing?
He shook his head. “Didn't think you'd be so superstitious.” He said, turning to continue with his task of getting the punch.
Thomas’ hand found a place on Alexander's lower back, pulling him closer to Thomas, who leaned down and kissed him. Alexander was surprised, to say the least..but maybe not in a bad way. It seemed that this outcome surprised their coworkers, but he also thought he heard something about a bet?
When they broke apart, Thomas took the punch from Alexander’s hand and turned to Angelica, who was standing nearby. “I assume this was for you?” He said, holding it out to her.
Angelica nodded, smiling as she took the punch. She ushered everyone back to the main room, leaving Alexander and Thomas alone once more.
Thomas turned to him, and Alexander wasn't sure what to expect. “You didn't think I'd be superstitious?” He said, going back to where he'd been sitting previously.
Alexander was simply baffled, because what kind of follow up is that bullshit? He followed Thomas back into the break room, sitting down across from him. “Uh, don't avoid the elephant in the room dickstain.”
“Who said I was avoiding the elephant? I was following up from the conversation we were in the middle of.” Thomas said, sitting comfortably in his chair.
“No, I didn't think you'd be superstitious. Just like I didn't think you'd kiss me.”
“Why? Should I not have? Sorry, I figured it was easier than everyone losing their minds over us doing nothing.”
Alexander was growing impatient. “No, Thomas, I thought like..we had that whole hating each other thing in the way of that."
“Oh, no, I don't hate you. I hope you don't hate me, that'd be unfortunate and awkward. I barely even dislike you, mostly just your horrible ideas.”
“My ideas are not horrible!” Alexander exclaimed. “This is what I'm talking about, you say things like that. Clearly you don't respect me.”
Thomas looked surprised. “Of course I respect you. Just because I disagree with you doesn't mean I don't respect you. We're on opposite ends of our work, that's the entire point. It wouldn't work if we genuinely hated one another.”
“So then why are you such a douche? You don't talk to me, or basically anyone, during work. You're all hoity toity.”
Thomas frowned now. “I just don't talk that much. You'd realize that if you ever took a moment to think or breathe.”
Alexander paused for a moment, thinking back to times where Thomas seemed especially rude. Maybe he really hadn't said anything, and Alexander mistook quietness for being rude.
“So..you don't hate me?”
“Nope. Actually, I enjoy you very much. Your willpower and work ethic are admirable, when they don't consume you. Some people notice these things.”
Alexander was at a loss for words, for once in his life. He didn't know how to respond to something like that, especially not coming from Thomas.
“I’m going to head out now. I hope you enjoy the holidays, Alexander. Merry Christmas.” Thomas said, standing up and actually leaving the room this time.
When Alexander went to find him a little while later, he discovered that Thomas really had left the party altogether. Alex had never felt so confused in his life, and now he was desperate to understand.
