Okay, but like, can we take a moment to appreciate the fact that the fandom isn't even that old yet, and almost everyone in it either collectively simps for a 49yo British man or a deranged serial killer?

erin couldn’t find it. her breathing was so ragged.
she couldn’t breathe. where was it? where the fuck was it?
she couldn’t see.
she was going to die.
oh god she—
she heard jamie. her jamie.
“erin!”
erin felt something cold and plastic press to her mouth, her hands pressing tightly to her mouth. there was something solid to her left and she leaned in, her breathing still erratic and messy. she couldn’t focus.
“i got you.” she heard a soft voice through the throbbing of her head, jamie’s soft arms around her body. erin was crying. was jamie crying? “you’re.. oh erin, you’re safe.” jamie whispered.
“j—.. jam—“
“i know.” she whispered in reply. “i know. you’re okay. i’m sorry.”
“he almost—“ erin sobbed, trying to get her words back, but not having enough air. “he almost k..”
“i know.” jamie said in a soft, firm tone. “i know, i’m so sorry. i won’t let that fucker touch you ever again. he’ll have to go through me.”
“jamie..”
“i’m sorry.” she cradled erin like erin was the most precious person in her entire life.. “i wasn’t there. it wont happen again. stay close to me. i’ll keep you safe.”
“..but.. what if.. something h.. happens to you? and..” erin sniffled, her words having something behind them. “..and i’m still here?”
jamie just smiled, slowly pushing the hair from her eyes as she pressed a tender kiss to erin’s forehead. “oh erin.” she whispered softly, her eyes shining with tears.
“..then you won’t need me anymore, will you?”
