There was a part of escaping from Castle Leoch that Brian left out in the retelling and that was Murtagh’s hand in it. Murtagh was glad of it as he snuck Jamie’s wife and changeling child out of there, with Colum unaware that twice now he’d deceived him.

He thought of the vow he’d made to Ellen when Jamie was days old as he watched Jamie arrive at their camp. Claire smiled sweetly and rushed to him, babe in her arms, and a history of promises and daring escapes repeated itself for the Frasers. He hoped somehow Ellen saw it.

“Did ye hear the commanding officer’s name? Or his rank?”

“Colum called him Captain, but I didn’t catch his name. I could only see him from the back. He was average height and build, perhaps a bit on the slender side. Straight dark hair that looked long enough to plait in the back. And his voice was oddly familiar, but I still have no idea why that would be. I can’t possibly know the man.”

“What did he sound like?” He held his breath, hoping his instincts would prove wrong.

“Well-educated, from somewhere in the south. Possibly Sussex. He was irate and… though I couldn’t see his face, I’d wager he was sneering. The tone he took with Colum was full of disgust and condescension. He may as well have spat in his face.”

Jamie sighed and nodded grimly.

“Randall.”

To his surprise, Claire went rigid against him and leaned back to look him in the eye.

“Did you say Randall?”

“Aye. Jack Randall. He’s a captain of dragoons. Has charge of Fort William last I heard,” he explained. She relaxed slightly, but her troubled expression remained. “Ye ken him after all?”

“No,” she replied hesitantly. “Not at all. I think I may be acquainted with a distant relative of his. That’s probably why his accent was so familiar. Frank sounds remarkably similar, though with significantly less vitriol.”

“Who’s Frank?”

We begin in 1743 Scotland. Gypsies have kidnapped Claire Elizabeth Beauchamp and her uncle Lambert Beauchamp. He and Murtagh are on their way to Lallybroch after receiving a pardon. They stopped in a village to eat at a pub when Jamie heard a unique voice ringing true and clear. He walks to the area where everyone is clapping and yelling for the Sassenach.

Another cbs ghosts x outlander crossover idea

In 1743 Scotland, one year old Isaac accompanies his parents because his father was on a business trip. Claire, Jamie, dougal, Colum and the rest are minding their own business until news spread about a carriage accident that happened on the road just outside of Castle Leoch. Claire, Jamie, dougal and some other people rush to the scene. The occupants of the carriage are baby Isaac and his parents. Miraculously, they all survived with minor injuries. They are taken back to Castle Leoch so Claire can treat them. Claire, Jamie, dougal, colum, Murtagh absolutely adore baby Isaac. Jamie is a bit too enthusiastic with caring for Isaac, as he tries to tech Scottish Gaelic, French, Latin and Greek. Claire even calls him out for it. The same goes for Dougal and Colum as they are teaching financial and legal stuff to a baby but Harold approves of it. Years later in 1777, Claire and Jamie are reunited with a fully grown Isaac. They realise that the man is the same baby they looked after years ago when Isaac tells them his parents’ story about how complete strangers looked after them after they were evolved in a carriage accident when they were in Scotland.

So, rereading the Outlander series too, and it's like the first time all over again, I remember only a few things. I loves that. Jamie's missing and Claire and Murtaugh haves to find him. It's making me wants to Destiel up Outlander even more.

And I still loathe Dougal.
