Hi! I just saw your post and I was wondering if I could have a Tsu'tey with a human mate who is insecure and jealous of the Na'vi women that still like her mate becomes she smaller and in their words ugly and she can't have children but Tsu'tey comforts her but she's still sad because she wants kids she then finds out she's pregnant and you can end how you want.
Thank you if you do this one.

Are we a moment, or a lifetime?
A/N I’m so sorry it took over a year to get to you , I will eventually add in everything else just wanted to get it out, oh and there will be a part two
Pairing: Tsu’teyx Fem!Human! Reader,

When Tsu’tey returned home he saw that she was no longer dressed in her Na'vi Clothing but back in her human ones. "What is wrong?" He asks softly as she was tucked up in a corner of their marui. "Nothing I was just cold" He nods sitting himself on the bed "Then come here"
He says softly gesturing her into his lap
She rolls herself over and crawls into his lap nuzzling Into him as he wraps his arms around her. "Better?" She nodded. He rubbed her back slowly "You know you can tell me when you're upset don't you?". “ I'm fine Tsu'tey I was just cold" "Then why the change of clothes, we have blankets ?" He asks gently, his hands still rubbing her back “ Because being half naked like her guys isn't exactly practical" she bit out. He chuckles softly "It is to us, you have nothing you need to be ashamed of". "I'm not ashamed " she responded "Then why hide yourself?" He asks curiously, tilting her chin up so he can look at her face. “ I'm not! I was simply cold". "You could have come to me" He murmurs his fingers tracing her jaw. She gently pushed his fingers away, He pauses slightly confused "Do you not want my touch?" He slowly moves his fingers to her waist now keeping his eyes trained on her face for a reaction. She was not looking up at him but rather her hands in her lap. His fingers gently grasp her chin again tilting her head up so she could have to meet his gaze. His eyes searching hers for an answer. When she still didn’t say anything he gently ran a thumb along the underside of her chin, his face coming even closer to hers "Tell me what's wrong" He murmurs his voice now a tad huskier as his lips lightly brush the corner of her mouth.
"It's nothing," she whispered. He groans, his nostrils flaring slightly. "Don't give me that. I know when there's something on your mind " He murmurs now lightly nipping her neck with his fangs "Talk to me" He murmurs his lips trailing over her skin towards her collarbone "why? I'm small, I'm this pink squishy thing.... I can't give You anything like others can ". "You are not a 'thing' and You need to get it out of your head that you are "less than" the other women here. You are so much more" His hands slowly run down her thighs and he pulls her so she’s straddling his lap. He leans in and lightly nips her earlobe "And you give me so much. You are everything I could ever want" He takes her wrists and places her palms on his chest. "Feel that heartbeat?" He murmurs his breath ghosting over her face
"That's Yours, it's been yours ever since I first laid eyes on you" His hand comes to her hip pulling her closer to him so her body is flush against his.
His other hand now rests in the middle of her back "I couldn't ask for anyone more perfect.
You are everything that I want" He murmurs nipping at her lips but not quite kissing her yet. “ We can’t bond we can’t have a family “ she stressed
He goes quiet for a moment and pulls away slightly to look at her face "Is... that what this is about?". “ I can't give You that either Tsu'tey human and Navi can't possibly reproduce together”. He gently cupped her face with his hands, his thumbs gently stroking her cheeks
"Of course I would love to have a family with You but I'm not with You to provide me with children.
You are my mate, my partner, my love. Nothing else matters to me" He bends down slightly and lightly brushes his lips against hers "The Great Mother has given me the greatest gift in you, I would be the stupidest man to let You go over something so trivial" He give her a soft kiss this time. "Please don't ever think there's even a remote possibility of You not being enough".
She kissed him back. He moans softly and pulls her closer to him, his lips hungrily coveringhers. His hands slipping under her top wanting to feel the bare skin against his palms
He kissed her deeply, a possessive nature taking over him now. He pulled her top off in one fluid motion and his lips quickly descended onto her neck leaving bites and kisses as he started to travel down her throat. He makes his way to the tops of her breasts and stops leaving a trail of kisses in his wake. His fingers tracing circles against her back as he looked up at her eyes burning like amber. "You are mine" He murmurs possessively against her skin his fingers digging into her back as he kissed her stomach
He pulled her tight against him and quickly rolls her onto her back so he was now straddling her his legs pinning her body underneath him
He looks down at her, his eyes now darker in color, all signs of his usual composed and calm demeanor gone. He was now looking at her with desire and need as his fingers slowly began tracing the curves of her body.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~<^>~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It began with morning sickness Which slowly turned in to being sick throughout the day
He notices this one morning as she an away after breakfast trying to avoid being sick in front of the others He immediately followed her out of the tent, pulling her into his arms as she nelt hunched over trying to keep from being sick. He didn't quite get human physiology, but he could tell she was not well. "What is wrong?"
He asks softly as she’s tucked up and trying not to vomit "Nothing... it's probably just a flu, a few of the science guys had it I probably just got it from them" He hums doubtfully and comes over, sitting beside her. He gently pulled her against his chest and his hand slowly moved up and down her back. "You have been unwell for a long time. That flu seems to linger." His brow furrows slightly with concern. He gently moved her so she’s sitting with her stomach on his lap, and his fingers start to slowly massage her shoulders
She rested against him. He continued to rub her back and his other arm held her against him, his chin gently resting on top of her head. He continues to rumble low and softly, the vibration traveling through her body
Every inch of him was warm to the touch and he continued to gently move his fingers across her back, slowly getting rid of the tension she felt. His chest rose and fell against herback, a steady and grounding rhythm as his rumbling lulled her closer towards sleep
She fell asleep
He stopped when she fell asleep, still keeping her tucked against his chest. One of his hands lightly ran over her face, tracing the contour of her cheek and across her forehead. He watched her sleep for a little bit, listening to her breathing, listening to her heartbeat
*Weeks later * she had spent the last 5 weeks feeling the same symptoms, always nauseous, always struggling to have an appetite...
Tsu'tey had done the best he could to help her , from rubbing her back, helping her avoid things her could not stand the smell of, holding her at night and simply trying to make her feel better
He was getting worried however, he was worried about why the sickness was lasting so long
He wasn't an idiot, he had a good guess on what it was but didn't want to say it outloud in case if he was completely wrong and he ended up upsetting her
He found her standing in the lab, looking at some samples and she looked pale and unwell. He came behind her , his arms instantly wrapping around her waist and pulling her body against his. He leaned down so his face was by herear, his breath warm against herskin
"You look pale again"
He murmurs, his hands rubbing across her stomach, almost automatically
His rumbling starts up again, the soft vibration making its way through her body as he held er to him. One of his hands slid slightly lower, moving in small, repetitive circles just under her belly button She grumbled " stop that You make me sleepy"
He laughs quietly and tightens his arms around her , pulling her even closer. His head tilted, chin hooking over hershoulder, and his rumbling turned into a low teasing growl
"That is the point. You need to rest more."
He gently turned her around so she was facing him, their bodies pressed together and he studied her face, the way her eyes looked dull and slightly sunken. His hands moved gently up and down, rubbing her hips
"My love... you are still feeling unwell...?"
He tilted her head up, cupping her chin and studying her face, noticing the darker bags under her eyes and the paleness of her skin.
She'd never really looked like this before, aside from when she was sick
His brow furrowed slightly, his thumbs stroked across her cheeks as his frown deepened. He was worried about her . The sickness has been going on for nearly two months, and with each week it seemed like she was only getting worse
He let out a small huff and slowly pulled her against him, enveloping her in a gentle hug. He could feel how tired she was, how thin her felt compared to usual. His hand moved across herback, rubbing in comforting circles as he simply held her to him
He let out a low, worried him as he felt how tiny she was against him. He leaned down so his face was buried against her shoulder and neck, her scent surrounding him
There was definitely something wrong. Humans got sick, she had told him that before, but the fact it was going on for so long and her hadn't managed to get better was worrying him
He pulled her body against him even tighter, as if he could envelope her in himself. He was trying so hard to think of what this could be, why she was feeling like this. As a large, warm hand moved across her belly again, he paused in thought. He didn't like the thought of what was on his mind, but it was the most likely reason for this
His hand moved in slow, smooth circles across her stomach , as if he was just rubbing her comfortingly. In reality, his hand was searching for something, anything that would confirm his suspicions He pushed and squeezed lightly, his touch gentle and careful as he searched for any changes. He felt it, a small bump that he was sure was not there a few months ago.
His heart was in his throat as he gently pushed his fingers against the small bump, feeling it through her clothes This couldn't be humans and Na'vi couldn't reproduce together the scientist had been absolutely insistent about that
Everything in his mind was saying that, screaming that what he felt wasn't possible. Humans and Navi couldn't, they were completely different species But that bump was there, he couldn't dismiss it as nothing. It was small, tiny really and could be mistaken for gaining a small amount of weight
He'd take this to the Tsahik; he wouldn't trust the other humans. He was not going to tell the scientists. They would do too many tests and ask too many questions and he didn't want her to get poked and prodded He pulled back to look at her face, his brow creased in worried lines as his hands cupped her cheeks
"Come with me. I need to speak to Mo'at"
“ I uh what Tsu'tey I'm in the middle of something " He shakes his head, gently tugging her away from what she was working on
"No, it can wait. This is more important"
He guides her gently out of the lab and starts to lead her through the trees towards Mo'at's dwelling
He is silent as he walks, keeping his hand on her back or gently guiding her over roots and rocks.
His mind is racing, thinking about the small bump on her belly , trying to figure out what it could be
He looks down at her , keeping her close against his side. The way she stumbled and swayed, as if she was tired or dizzy, worried him. After about 15 minutes, the shelter of Mo'at's dwelling comes into view. Tsu'tey guides her inside, the interior dark and cool compared to the heat of the day outside. “Tsu'tey seriously what on earth has gotten into You "
He ignores the question and keeps his hand on her back , guiding her towards Moat. She was sitting by the side of the room, grinding herbs or some sort of medicine
"Mo'at, I need to ask You something"
Mo'at glanced up from her work, giving Tsu'tey her full attention
"What is it?" She asks, her voice as sharp and strong as usual
He swallows, knowing this was going to sound ridiculous and crazy and Mo'at was going to think he was an idiot "I- I want You to look at my mate. I don't think humans and Na'vi can cross breed properly but I think... I think she might be with child"
Mo'tak's eyes widened as she took in his words. For the first time in Tsu'tey's life, he saw surprise on the older woman's face.
Her gaze flickered over to her , searching her face and body for a moment before standing, crossing the room towards her
She looked her up and down again, her old eyes slowly scanning her body, searching for something. She reaches out and pushes at her stomach with her fingers before looking back up at Tsu'tey
"Lift your shirt for me" She says, her voice leaving no room for arguing Her blunt command made her eyes widen, but Tsu'tey gave her a reassuring look as he lifted up the hem of her shirt, exposing her stomach to Mo'at
Mo'at's eyes flickered across herstomach, her hands gently
pressing against her skin. She can make out the small bump he felt, and she felt it herself, her expression unreadable as she presses her hand against it
She steps back, motioning for her to pull her shirt back down, her brow furrowed in thought
"You two, sit down"
She orders, her commanding tone leaving no room for argument
Tsu'tey instantly sits, pulling her down onto his lap so she's cradled against his chest, one of his arms around her waist . His chin rests on top of her head and he looks up at Mo'at, who looks rather deep in thought
Mo'at is silent for a few moments, her eyes trained on her and Tsu'tey. The only sounds are those of the shelter, the insects and animals outside.
Finally, she speaks
"How long have you felt sick, child?"
“A few weeks but i've had the flu it was going around I wouldn't be surprised if I got it again since I work in such close proximity to others "
Mo'at shakes her head, the older woman not buying the excuse
"No, I do not think so. You’re are pregnant"
That blunt statement makes both her and Tsu'tey freeze. her eyes widen, and his arms tighten around her reflexively, his breath suddenly caught in his chest
“That's not possible we can't reproduce the only way to even get a Navi human hybrid life the avatars is creating one in a lab " she spoke out all in the spand of one breath.
Mo'at just studies her face for a moment, tilting her head slightly as if to ask "are You sure?"
"I'm sure human medical science knows a lot, but maybe they don't know everything. It is clearly possible, because I can see it"
"Even if it was possible it couldn't be viable for long term the size of a Na'vi baby is to large... the body couldn't even sustain it if it could handle the size it couldn't provide enough energy for both mother and baby"
"I did not say it would be easy" Mo'at replies quietly, her eyes flickering across her stomach
"There will be complications, and it will be painful. But I sense it is already well along, so it can only continue."
Tsu'tey had mostly stayed silent, staying in shock as he listened to Mo'at explain. He tightened his arms around her , pressing his long chin into the crown of her head
"How long... How long do you think..?"
He asks, his voice hoarse and quiet. He was still in shock. This had to be impossible. Everyone had said it was impossible and yet here her were, somehow pregnant with his child
Mo'at is silent for a few moments, studying her face . She can feel the tension from both her and Tsu'tey, and her own heart ached slightly for the pair . This was both a miracle and a curse
"I would say two months. Maybe three"
Tsu'tey can't speak, he just swallows. Two months, three if she's being generous. That meant that he would be a father in roughly 5 or 6 months, if he was lucky.
His hands gently shift from her back to her stomach, his thumbs unconsciously stroking the skin. He could feel the slight bump now, more prominent than before
" Tsu'tey....." she trailed off unsure of what to say
*That he shouldn't get his hopes up or that this was extremely unlikely to have a positive outcome "It'll be fine..."
Tsu'tey assured her , although his own voice doesn't sound like he fully believes it. He tries to push the thoughts of complications out of his mind as he keeps stroking gentle patterns into her stom\\\ach.
Feeling The Heat
Them with a breeding kink
Your screams of pleasure and crys of is ecstasy would've woken up the everyone but he was smart to smart.
He cornered you while you were making food for you and him, he watched you like a predator looking at his pray.
You drove him to this you drove him into this lust driven state his pants bearly containing his hard cock and now your hips were bruised from his tight hold.
Your body was limp on the ground only jolting from his ruthless thrusts, he'll bore his teeth and any sound that isn't from you.
His cum oozing out around his cock and he'll mock you for not keeping it in and he'll remind you each time you cum that he owns you.
DREAMWALKER SIBLINGS
Chapter III: Memories -> previous[II] Masterlist Summary: Y/n and Jake Sully. Siblings, shipped off into the depths of space to explore the mysterious world of Pandora. Warnings: N/A Word count: 1020
Jake wheeled himself out of the small shack we called home, not bothering to turn back around. "I'm going out." he announced, his voice flat, tired.
"Jake—" Tommy called out, but his words were cut off by the sound of the door slamming closed.
"He's off to the pub, again." I said staring at the holographic images of tigers on the wall. My eyes following their every move, a constant reminder of the wild freedom we could never taste. This was no way to live, trapped in our own home, scraping by on the bearest of means.
"We can't live like this anymore Tommy. This house is the same fucking size as a jail cell." I say turning to him, hoping he would see my desperation, the need for change.
Tommy sighed, running a hand through his disheveled hair. "Once I get into the avatar—"
"We'll be dead by the time you come back from your alien excursion, Tommy! We can't wait for you..." I snapped, anger and frustration boiling over. I paced up and down the thin strip of walkway of our cramped home, my thoughts racing.
"I can't do with you today." Tommy said, grabbing his coat, clearly preparing to leave.
"Do what Tommy? Talk about our planet and not some planet light years away?" Could he not see the urgency of our situation? Choosing to be shipped off to another planet like shit is sweet.
He turned to me, eyes hard. "Me going on this "alien excursion" is what is going to make you and Jake rich."
"How would we even know if you're alive Tommy? For all I know you could die as soon as you step out these doors," I shouted, my voice echoing in the small space.
"I guess we won't know Y/n, but at least I'm trying to do something instead of sitting on my ass sulking. Grow up Y/n." he retorted before slamming the door behind him.
I sank into the worn out couch, the weight of his words pressing down on me. Maybe he was right. All I ever did was sulk and think about a past that I barely remembered. After a while, I decided to take a walk around the city, maybe even have a drink or two.
The city is a maze of metal and neon, a contrast to the tiny shack we called home. People bustling about, faces all covered in masks of different sorts, the most popular being animals long extinct, tigers crossing the streets, panda bears walking the side walks, all animals we never stood a chance seeing thanks to those before us. Everyone was trying to escape something, it seemed.
I wandered aimlessly, my thoughts a chaotic mix of anger and sorrow. Eventually I found myself at the end of a alley outside of a dimly lit club. The sign above the exit door flickering intermittently, a barely readable 'exit' shown.
The sound of commotion in the alleyway catches my attention. I look down and see a group of people throwing someone out a building. My heart skips a beat as I squint to see better and recognize the figure—the man they're throwing out, is Jake. Panic surges through me as I realize they've thrown his wheelchair out of his reach, leaving him on the wet floor.
"Candy-ass bitch!" Jake yells, his voice thick with anger and frustration. Without hesitation, I dash into the alley, my pulse pounding in my ears.
As I reach him, Jake makes eye contact with me from the ground, his eyes filled with defiance and resignation. "Punk-ass bitches needed two people to handle one cripple," he says with a bitter laugh.
"Jake you could be seriously injured." I say, kneeling down in the rain beside him. I wrap my coat around the top half of hid body, trying to shield him from the cold downpour.
"They just lost themselves a customer," he mumbles, clearly drunk and rambling.
"Hey Y/n," he continues, his voice softer now, "I just wanted to say I'm sorry. Sorry for being such a pain in the ass to you and Tommy. I know you're just trying to help me out."
I feel a lump form in my throat as I listen to his apology. "Jake, you don't need to apologize. We're Sully's, and Sully's stick together." I say sitting down next to him, squeezing his shoulder gently.
We sit there in the rain, the world around us fading into the background. The rain continues to pour, soaking us to the bone, but we don't care. This moment of connection and understanding is worth every drop.
"Remember when we used to switch classes with Tommy during maths class cause he's the only one who understood anything." Jake chuckles, looking at me
"No, I don't, we might be triplets but only you and Tommy could pull that off," I say rolling my eyes " I had to sit there and take the tests like a champ." I say feeling a tang of nostalgia hit.
"I miss those days. Everything seemed simpler." Jake sighs, the weight of his earlier anger and frustration melting away with the breath.
"We were kids," I say softly. "The world was smaller, and our biggest worry was picking out which animal mask we would wear for the day."
Jake nods, his expression suggesting he isn't truly focused on the present. "Sully's stick together..." he lowly mutters to himself.
As we sit in the rain, the world around us quiets. The shared silence is comforting, a reminder that we're not alone in our grief.
The sound of footsteps echoes down the alley. I turn to find two men dressed in black suits staring down at us. "Y/n and Jake Sully? It's about your brother," one of them says, his voice cutting through the rain.
Jake tenses behind me, and I feel a knot of dread in my stomach. "What about him?" I ask, my voice steady despite a feeling of dread gnawing at me.
The man in the suit steps forward, his expression unreadable. "Come with us."
Biting/Marking
Tsu’tey x Fem!Omatikaya!Reader
kinkmas masterlist
Warnings: 18+ MDNI, Biting, Marking, Very protective Tsu’tey, P in V
translation:
Paskalin - sweet berry
Tsu’tey watched from a distance, though you could practically feel his eyes on you.
From the jump, Tsu’tey had a bad feeling about the younger warrior you were training, and now he watched silently as you continuously pushed the boy’s hands off of you.
He could step in, but he warned you before the day had even begun, this was your problem to deal with.
“You’re not going to do anything?” His fellow warrior chuckled
“I told her to stay away from him.” Tsu’tey crossed his arms, a small pout on his lips
The other man put his hands up in surrender, no need to argue with Tsu’tey, especially when it came to you, of all things.
All he was waiting for was you, just a glance in his direction and he would stride over and put the boy in his place.
But you were stubborn, Eywa you were so stubborn.
Fury flooded through his veins as he saw the boys hand slip around your waist.
“Someone’s jealous.” Another friend teased, earning a glare from Tsu’tey in return
When he glanced back to you, his eyes finally met your panicked ones. In his mind, that was his go ahead.
He sauntered over, a look of disgust taking over his face.
“No! Go here, up here!” You tried to maneuver the boys arms up, to no avail
Tsu’tey cleared his throat, making the boy, look up in surprise “Everything going well over here?”
“Just fine.” The boy answered before you could
“N-no! Not fine! It’s like you’re purposely messing these forms up!” You complained
“Let us show him then, hm?” Tsu’tey suggested
You didn’t argue, so Tsu’tey manhandled you in front of him, he took a second to sweep your hair off of your shoulder, letting it fall down your back. The small move revealed a healing bite mark on your skin.
Tsu’tey watched the boys reaction to his mark on your skin. His eyes looked between you and Tsu’tey in surprise, while his face screwed in disbelief.
“I was doing that!” The handsy boy whined, gesturing to you
“You’re done for today.” Tsu’tey declared “Go home.” He waved him off, taking you by the hand
The boy stomped off, looking back every so often with a sour look on his face.
Tsu’tey’s eyes flickered around at their surroundings, “Come with me.” He didn’t wait for her answer, choosing to pull her along to a nearby wooded area, where they could have privacy.
“Are you really upset-“ You started, but you shut up after Tsu’tey gently pushed your back to a tree
“You let him touch you?” He asked, not really expecting an answer, but still, you shook your head no.
His hand rose up to your shoulder once again “I guess one wasn’t enough.” He pressed down on the bruised bite mark, making you wince. “Not enough to show them all what belongs to me.”
“Maybe I should give you more.” He suggested, his lip curled up slightly
“No!” You tried to push yourself off of the tree, but he only shoved you back.
“Oh? Why not?” He tilted his head, his hands now had you pinned to n the tree
“It hurt.” You complained
“It hurt.” He mocked you, “I think that’s the point, you know?”
“You’re such a baby, Tsu’tey.” You accused “Nothing happened!”
“But something could have happened.” His hand found your cheek, he leaned in, hovering slightly over your lips. “You didn’t think this… mark, was such a bad idea when I had my cock buried in you, what’s wrong now Paskalin?”
“That’s not fair!” You complained, trying to lean in to let your lips meet
“Maybe that’s just what you need.” Tsu’tey entertained, “My cock… To show you what’s right, yeah?”
You pressed your body against him, and he could feel the heat emanating from you. His hands moved up your body, memorizing every curve of your skin all over again.
Your breath came in quick, shallow pants as his hands roamed your body, exploring every curve and crevice with a hunger that made you gasp. His fingertips were like lightning, scorching your skin with pleasure.
Tsu’tey leaned your back against the rough bark of the tree, and you felt the thrill of anticipation as he moved in closer. His lips met yours hungrily, and he explored your mouth with his tongue.
You felt his hands slide down your body, and your breath caught in your throat as Tsu’tey began to untie the top that barely covered your breasts
He trailed kisses down your neck as he worked, and when he finally peeled your skimpy top away, you shivered with pleasure.
His lips moved lower, and you moaned softly as his mouth found your breasts. His hands moved around to your back, and he pulled you against him, bodies melding together as one.
Tsu’tey lifted you off the ground, your legs wrapping around his waist as he carried you deeper into the woods. His hands explored your body, his fingers slipping over your nipples, softly caressing the sensitive buds. Your nipples hardened in response, your body trembled as he scoffed at how easily you were already ready for him.
He laid you on the ground, his hands tearing at your loincloth, and you fumbled with his, both eventually were ripped off, joining you on the forest floor.
He looked down at you, his gaze hungry as he ran his hands down your body, his fingers tracing circles around your nipples.
You reached for him, your hands clinging to him as he bent to take your breast in his mouth. You gasped as his tongue moved over it, his teeth nipping and teasing you until you were moaning in pleasure.
He moved up to your collarbone, a sweet kiss placed there before a sharp pain. Hit bit you.
“Tsu’tey!” You groaned out, your hands pulling him up by his jaw
“Mine.” He growled, taking the second to lean it once again and kiss you.
His lips were rough, and his hands were rougher. He brought them down to your waist, roughly pulling you against him.
His hands moved lower, his fingers slipping between your legs as you gasped in pleasure.
Tsu’tey loved that you were his, and he loved to show that off. He moved over you, pushing himself down to your legs.
He slowly licked his way from your ankle to your thigh, teasing you with each stroke of his tongue. His hands moved up your body, caressing your curves as his mouth reached your center. He parted your delicate folds with his tongue, exploring your inner depths and making you quiver in pleasure. He traced circles around your clit, taking his time to make sure you were ready for him.
When he finally gave in to your pleas, he moved his tongue in circles, flicking it against you in just the right way. He sucked on your clit, making you gasp with pleasure, and then pushed his tongue further inside you, as far as he could. His hands moved up to your hips, holding you in place while he tasted you.
He moved his mouth all over, teasing you with every flick of his tongue. He felt your body tense and convulse as you reached your climax, and he smiled as he felt your body relax in his arms. He kissed it one last time, and then he pulled away, leaving you panting for more.
He moved back up, his mouth glistening with your slick and his spit as he leaned in to kiss your neck.
“Tsu’tey! Please!” You sighed into his ears
“Please what? What are you begging for?” He asked, letting his teeth graze your neck
“I want you.”
Tsu’tey’s eyes glanced down at you. “You have me, don’t you?”
A pout formed on your lips as you tried to buck your hips against his.
He pushes your hips down, “Now you know that will get you nowhere.” He tuts “You only have to ask.”
“I did ask.” You tried to pull him in by his shoulders but he stayed solid in place
He only laughed, taking a second to spread your legs and settle himself between them.
“What is it that you want?” He asked once he had already lined his cock up with your glistening pussy.
“I want you inside.” You flushed, now embarrassed because he made you use your words
“See? Look at how easy that was.” Tsu’tey smiled as he tilted his hips to line up with yours.
He gently pushed the tip in, you were holding your breath. It didn’t matter how many times you and Tsu’tey had been together, it was always a bit of a stretch for you.
“Feeling alright, yawne?” He asked, his own words trembling now
You nodded, because that was all you could do.
Tsu’tey got a mischievous look on his face “Good.” And he pushed the rest of himself inside.
The sun was setting, casting a golden hue on the forest floor. You were lying there, eyes wide, breathing heavily, feeling your body quiver with anticipation.
He began thrusting, slowly at first, then faster and faster. You could feel yourself being taken higher and higher with each thrust. He grasped your hips, pushing himself deeper and deeper into you.
You shuddered beneath him, your body trembling as he moved faster and faster. His breath was coming in ragged gasps as he drove himself into her, your bodies crashing together as you moved closer and closer to the edge.
“Oh you’re almost there aren’t you?” Tsu’tey asked, though he already knew your answer
You answered him with a frantic nod, with urged him to fuck you harder, chasing both his and your own orgasm.
As your body started to tense, you feel your pleasure growing and intensifying. Every nerve in your body is alive with sensations, and you can feel the waves of pleasure cascading through your body.
Tsu’tey smiled down at you as he fucked you, hard and intense. Your eyes were barely able to stay open and keep eye contact with him.
“Come on, yawne, stay with me. You’re r-right there, I know- Yeah I know.” He caged you against him, pressing you fully in between him and the forest floor.
Your breathing deepens and quickens, and you feel your muscles start to contract in anticipation. You feel your entire body trembling with anticipation, and each wave of pleasure is more intense than the last.
Your breath catches as you reach the peak of pleasure, and your body rocks with the intensity of the orgasm. Every muscle is tensed and you can feel the heat radiating from your core. Tsu’tey could feel you squeezing around him, the feeling that kept him going, rutting into you hard, hitting the deep spots.
Your body quivers and quakes as you reach the ultimate climax. You feel your entire body trembling with pleasure, and each wave of pleasure is more intense than the last.
Your body is wracked with pleasure, every cell in your body alive with it. Every sensation is exquisitely intense, and you can feel the energy radiating through your body.
Tsu’tey was throbbing inside of you, your gushing walls suffocated him and he knew he was about to cum.
As the intense pleasure slowly fades, you feel as if your entire body is alive with pleasure. Every nerve in your body is still tingling, and you can still feel the warmth radiating from your core.
Your eyes find Tsu’tey once again, but his eyes were closed. As your orgasm fades, you feel him push deep inside you, his hot cum filling you up and sending shivers of pleasure through your body.
A sharp pain brings you back to him, his teeth had sunk into your neck, biting you again today, another mark to show you off as his.
“Maybe that’ll work.” Tsu’tey growled into your ear
Your whines slowly fade as Tsu’tey pulls out. “Don’t ever, ever, entertain that behavior from him, or anyone else, ever again.” He whispered against you cheek, leaning back in to kiss your lips before he began to clean you up.
tawtute - demon
nantang - viperwolf
skxwang - idiot
angstik - hammerhead titonathere
TSU'TEY POV
Every respectful Omaticayan man starts his day off with a morning hunt to soothe their hunger and provide for their clan. Tsu'tey is no different.
This time around, he's limping to the riverbank to have a nice bath and ease his aching shin with hot water and a message– because clearly, he's underestimated your strength.
As he lathers himself up with herbs, he realizes how he's underestimated you. You, with your strange tawtute words, four fingers, and hairy forehead. The attitude that carried itself so effortlessly and dripped off of your every move and every word made him want to stick his head into a nantang nest.
After the forced apology deep in the forest, and after discoverşing Reytan's efforts of courtship, the following week has been torture. He feels the tiredness and ache drip off his firm muscles with every brush of the makeshift loofa JakeSully weaved for the people. As much as he hated to admit, the strange sky-demon inventions sometimes worked well. He still looks at it with distaste though, even after using it countless times and having made a habit to demand a new one every two weeks.
As the thing brushes against his arm, he thinks back at the last few days and the utter agony of arguing with you incessantly. He was familiar with you now, though the familiarity consisted of arguing and bickering about the most insignificant topics. He passed it off as tawtute arrogance first, but you were adamant about proving you were no longer one of them.
The ball of woven silk glides onto his chest smoothly, and his heart picks off at the thought of your smart mouth. Why was it that you had an answer for everything? Why were so adamant about going against his commands?
He huffs, closing his eyes and throwing his head back as the water runs down his chest to his abs. It was only yesterday you fought about where the musicians were to be seated in the upcoming hunting festival.
"They should be in the heart of the fun, not up at some pedestal!"
Tsu'tey groans, gritting his teeth. "Why be in the middle? That is stupid and distracting. The people dance in the middle! If we put Tsawl Pamtseo Tsko Kllte in the middle, you will bump into it."
You ignore Jake's weak 'G-guys, I'm sure there's an alternative.' and roll your eyes. "How in god's name do you accidentally bump into a gigantic flute?"
Tsu'tey's face contorts in annoyance. "I refuse to answer your unnecessary questions, tawtute."
You clench your fists."They're rhetorical, you jerk.”
The lingering traces of your gritted voice carry a smirk to his lips– one of many 'fights' he's had with you after his so-called apology. It was easy to anger you; at first, you pushed his buttons just as much as he pushed yours, but after your relationship got into a rhythm where he said something and you made it your mission to counteract it, he started enjoying the strange arrangement. Especially seeing your flushed face and large eyes, peering up at him between your dark lashes. You would always march right up at him with clenched fists and a quip dripping from your tongue, and in those moments, he imagined harshly grabbing your face and pulling you into a heated kiss until your breaths became one.
He groans into the open air, the loofa brushing against his hardening cock ever so gently. He grits his teeth and squeezes his eyes shut to calm his urges–his instincts that light a fire inside his abdomen and make him act unlike a respectable man.
No, ever since you looked at him with those fearful, haunting eyes he ceased to be a respectful man. Those very eyes that slowly became unwilling and sparkling with mirth.
Yearning for a dream-walker mate was never in his plans. He supposes you were one of the people now, but you despised him. Especially after he masked his attraction with spiteful insults.
Then, of course, there was that skxwang who was shamelessly courting you.
Tsu'tey remembers Reytan as a bright kid who was eager to learn how to hunt the biggest plays and where to filet his fish first to appeal to the softest meat. Not as an adult Omaticayan man ready to court a woman and settle down into domestic bliss - with you, no less.
Reytan would have it no other way, Tsu'tey realized. This past week, his pathetic courting attempts worsened– Tsu'tey could laugh. You didn't enjoy angstik meat, nor did you like scaling through trees as a means of spending time together.
What a failure, surely Tsu'tey could have wooed you much easier. It seemed as though you just needed some affection— some attention and cooing. Tsu'tey smirks, he would turn you into a stuttering, blushing fool if he so wished.
At least that's what he says to soothe his ragged ego. After being saved by you, almost losing his position as Olo'Eyktan, and having to deal with the tasteless fruits of his injuries, his pride is in the depths of Eywa, and pulling it back has proven to be painstakingly difficult.
After rubbing his body clean and ignoring his hardening cock at the thought of you, thoughts he's done his best to deny while his Na'vi instincts buzzed his entire body, he carefully steps out of the boiling water. Glancing around, he quickly gets dressed and makes his way to Hometree in undignified haste.
Like every morning, the people are in a scurry to start their morning duties; the stomach-grumbling scent of fresh fruits and the fumes of sizzling meat; mates scrambling after their little ones to calm them down and perhaps convince them to wear their clothes properly; teenagers rubbing their eyes to rid their tiredness and aching bodies.
The atmosphere is as lively as always, accompanied by the chirping and squawking of neighboring birds. The chatter resonates around the large community and beautifully accentuates the morning beat of drums and strings.
People greet Tsu'tey as he walks, but he's a man on a mission. His stomach gurgles in warning, and he has no choice but the start a jog fueled by nothing but his hunger. He spots Jake and Neytiri amidst the morning chaos, with Jake trying to weave a new armband and Neytiri sharpening her bows. They're chatting animatedly as they work. Stopping next to Jake, when the man offers him breakfast, he fights the urge to grab his face and kiss his strangely thin lips.
"Someone's hungry." Jake chuckles, abandoning his poorly done weaving.
Tsu'tey grunts, shoving fruits into his mouth. "I hunted this morning."
"I see."
"The forest becomes prosperous when the cycle reaches hot temperatures." Neytiri chimes in, looking up from her skilled fingers making quick work of the piece of wood.
"Oh, so it's summer now?" Jake asks.
Tsu'tey and Neytiri look at each other. "What is that?"
"Never mind," Jake shakes his head, then picks up his weaving again when Neytiri throws him a look.
Zeir and Takuk soon join their circle of calm conversation and sharing of food. Tsu'tey feels himself relaxing in the calming atmosphere brought on by his trusted aides—something he needed after weeks of stress and restrained sexual desires. He distracts himself by starting a weaving of his own as well but soon realizes it's a pattern you adorn yourself in. As the thoughts of offering the piece of cloth to you surge in from the depths of his heart, his hands start to shake.
Your smell follows the panic, and he realizes you're near. The unfamiliar stench that accompanies you is enough proof that Reytan will follow in your wake and fuel the anger building inside of Tsu'tey.
"Morning party people," you stand next to Neytiri and thank her when she offers you a leaf of food. "Reytan was showing me good hunting spots. I had no idea we had a literal waterfall."
Your eyes sparkle as you dig into your food, completely oblivious to Tsu'tey's thumping heart that demands your attention. How dare you.
Reytan is quick to add on, and Tsu'tey just now realizes he's also here. "Yes, it is quite a young one."
Neytiri and Takuk are quick to join the conversation about Eywa's gift, but the only gift Tsu'tey can think of is the one being weaved unconsciously between his fingers. You're avoiding his gaze and infuriating Tsu'tey for no apparent reason.
Reytan looks at you. "I can show you other places if you want."
You smile. "Of course, I'd love that."
Tsu'tey almost snarls.
The grip on his weaving tightens and the pointed drums of wood are dangerously close to his skin.
"I am glad we are spending time together," Reytan shyly looks down, tail twitching.
You chuckle. "You're a good friend."
Tsu'tey pricks his finger. It was inevitable and strangely grounding. He feels the sting of the sharp tool imprinted on his cut skin. Deep crimson pools on the tip of his finger and slowly drizzles down his veins. With a hiss, he puts the digit in his mouth.
"Tsu'tey!" you gasp, and swat at his hand. Embarrassment causes him to lower his ears and purse his lips— he was getting jealous over a vrrtep and this notion caused the stinging burn on his finger to worsen. His collected and menacing persona was broken by a mere demon– only children got hurt like this. He was supposed to be Olo’eyktan.
His tail trashes behind him but he does nothing to control it. He needs to make his anger evident. Needs to protest against your will to help him. He doesn't need anyone's help.
You tut at the small cut. "It's small, I'll bandage you up."
"No-"
"Brother, go and get treated. We have an important hunting day tomorrow."
Unfortunately, Jake is right. Grumbling, he follows you into Mo'at's kelku and doesn't glance back at the sullen Reytan watching you walk away.
READER POV
While the kelku is otherwise empty, the intense gaze Tsu'tey has on your face makes you feel suffocated. With a thumping heart and a flushed face, you gently apply a bead of paste with nimble fingers on the small cut.
The silence is loud, filled with your thoughts.
The past week Reytan has been diligently courting you, and you were diligently rejecting his advances. The countless 'no's' and the 'please, I see you as a friend' repeated to the younger man inevitably caused the feelings inside of him to diminish.
However, they were not completely gone. They would never be fully gone unless you mated with another man, or he was to find someone else, you realize. And as you think this, you glance at Tsu'tey, feel your heart drop, and then swear under your breath.
It wasn't that you didn't consider Reytan, you truly tried. But trying wasn't enough. The attraction you've had for Tsu'tey was undeniable, and seeing the man almost every day made your urges almost impossible to ignore.
After his apology, you've fallen into a strange rhythm of friendship(?) with the man. You had love for him, this was a given. Did he have love for you? Maybe sometimes when you weren't being particularly nit-picky. He rendered you speechless every day—with abstract strategies, insults with absolutely no filter towards clan members he has distaste, and the way he simply looks.
Determined to argue with him on everything and push his buttons, you had to simultaneously fall prey to his eye contact. Tsu'tey liked to hold intense eye contact, as he was doing now and staring at two gaping holes on your head. You were entirely too focused on his finger, but how interesting could a finger be? Surely not more than him.
No sooner than you could say 'it could be much worse', your stomach takes the reins into her own hands and thunders. The waterfalls were quite mesmerizing, and as you dumbly admired falling water for almost an hour, you neglected breakfast. The gurgling noise breaks the serene quiet of the kelku as you apply a darker ointment around the edges of his finger.
Tsu'tey doesn't say anything, but it's no doubt he heard. If he didn't, your stomach reminds him again. Watching his ears flicker is a giveaway that he's picked up the abominable sound and itching to comment on it. When it happens again (bless your poor heart, was this punishment for the pranks you have been pulling on Jake during your hunting parties?).
Tsu'tey snorts. "Are you okay?"
"Shut up," you grumble, or gurgle.
Tsu'tey cackles, slapping his knee with his uninjured hand. Would a prick even count as an injury, after nearly dying? "Eywa! I thought it was going to rain. I was about to warn the others!"
"Just...shut up." you hiss through gritted teeth, unable to hold your smile at bay. Fuck, as if a stomach gurgle wasn't embarrassing enough, it had to grace your day in front of Tsu'tey.
With tears in his eyes, Tsu'tey's laugh booms around the space. The raspy timbre bubbling from deep within his chest tickles your ears—he laughs with his entire body, chest bobbing and eyes crinkling. Your heart takes flight and flutters around Tsu'tey's laugh before landing right on the left side of his chest.
It was inevitable, his laugh was contagious. "Not another word from you." you giggle.
Tsu'tey gives you a pointed look.
"Speak for yourself." he cackles, his head careening towards your stomach. With his eyes shut and face pinched, he doesn't realize he’s digging his head into your navel and causing you to squirm.
Having never touched his firm skin lest you count saving his life, you merely freeze and hope intimacy is common amongst Na'vi.
Tsu'tey's shoulders stop bobbing. With no warning, his body becomes slack and hot under your soft touch—merely his forehead grazing against your navel. You can feel him take a deep breath when his chest expands and his nose almost flutters.
Short-cutting is an understatement. The soft breath Eywa lets out amongst the sunny afternoon rustles the intricate chimes hung loosely outside the half-opened flap. The breeze peeks inside to rush across your skin gently, to softly raise the hair until it prickles like needles.
Tsu'tey raises his head, and in doing so, lights fires inside you when his braids tickle your stomach. The beads in the skilled weaving of his hair chime in warning to Eywa—almost butting heads, and the reward is ear-ringing silence.
His eyes slowly roll up, until they settle on you. You think he's lit up from the inside when his freckles glint and eyes glow. He makes it hard to look away as if he's daring you with his intense gaze. You can't, anyways.
Your tail mimics your heartbeat beautifully, swaying from side to side with unintentional thumps on the wooden floor. You watch Tsu'tey's eyes turn half-lidded and hazed as he observes you. The intimacy is settling around your bones and enhancing his irresistible pull. As though he's testing the waters, pushing to see how much you'll let him until you pull– his tail gently wraps around your thigh. Your breath hitches because it's possibly the softest thing you've ever felt, like velvet or fresh grass after fruitful rain.
He pulls you forward until you have no choice but to hold onto his shoulder for support, then look down at him with wide eyes. Your heart beats throughout your entire body as the waves of pleasure run through your veins in deep crimson.
Cursing his large eyes, you struggle to catch your breath. His hand slowly settles on your hip– Tsu'tey touch is soft and never what you've imagined it to be. He's a callous man with sharp edges that stab if you try your luck, but the man gazing up at you with lidded eyes is nothing but. He's beautiful and warm, you relish.
"Vrrtep..." he breathes a secret whisper, like a reminder. But it does nothing of the sort. Guiding his other hand on your other hip, he can now steer you however he wants and you'd probably let him take the reins with no protest. He mindlessly pulls you again until your knees bump against each other. He's clinging onto you which is an obscene scene. Especially when he was itching to get away from you last week and on his deathbed. Succumbing to his mindlessness, you lean forward when he urges you with the tightening of his tail.
"Tsu'tey, are you okay?"
Jumping away from Tsu'tey in panic, you scramble to gather yourself and the medicinal tools scattered about the floor. Jake struts into the marui with large steps and surveys Tsu'tey. You don't know what he sees because you refuse to look, but it must be something interesting enough to pull out an awkward chuckle from his lips.
Standing straight with heaps of objects clutched in your shaking hands, you struggle to keep your composure. "He's all patched up...I need to go water the uh, waterfalls."
Quickly running out of the kelku causes a gust of cold wind to hit your face and realize the severity of the situation. If Jake hadn't interrupted you, what would he have done? What would you have done?
His lips were right there, and if you had leaned in just an inch-
Stopping your sprint, you kneel to your hunches and hold your head. You've mindlessly run into the forest, hoping to escape your feelings, but they're attached to your heart with a mighty strong grip. You huff out a breath, then stand up. Starting a slow walk, you think about the past month with these new revelations.
Tsu'tey's always been indifferent but the ache of being ignored dulled after two weeks, then merged into hatred. The thin line between aggravation and romantic feelings blurred—well, you don't know when or where, but it did.
Perhaps your feelings stemmed from the admiration you've had for him or the hidden fantasies you entertained every night with your hand between your legs.
Frustrated, you decide to walk to Hometree and finish your duties for the day early.
SUMMARY: earth was dying and your sister was, too, but cancer killed her faster than humans were killing earth. when she passed, she not only left behind an empty apartment full of memories but a billion dollar avatar without a driver. in a desperate attempt to not waste that money, the program she had spent the last five years preparing to join recruited you— her twin. of course, you agreed. there was nothing left on earth for you. there was nothing left on earth for anyone— that’s why people like your sister were sent off to pandora.
chapter five
— i know you —
the chopper was louder than you remembered. it made it hard to sleep even with the protective headphone over your ears. leaving before the sun was up, you were utterly exhausted. if your head was pounding bad enough to make you scowl with your eyes closed, you couldn’t imagine the headache jake had from his link being broken. with your head rested on his shoulder, the two of you tired your best to sleep.
you wished you hadn’t.
she came to you in your dreams.
“hey,” grace’s voice was gravelly over the headset. you felt her nudge your leg. “twin one and twin two, wake up before you miss it.”
you let out a soft whine as you stretched. beside you, jake yawned. he turned his head away from the glaring morning sun and tucked it down into your shoulder despite the mask. the cool breeze of oxygen was vital— but you really wished you could’ve taken it off to rub the sleep from your eyes. blinking hard, you tried to focus.
“oh, holy shit…”
emerging from the clouds, the hallelujah mountains came into view. the massive, floating rocks were covered in green. waterfalls fell into sprays of cool mist that wafted into the helicopter that helped wake up jake. he, too, stared dumbfounded outside.
“ain’t it something?” grace asked.
you turned your head to look at her and all you could do was nod. your eyes welled with tears you didn’t let fall. it was gorgeous. too gorgeous. earth — even as pretty as it was in its prime — could’ve never ever compared to the majesty and the glory that was pandora.
“aaaand that’s another job well done, folks. thanks for traveling air pandora. tips are appreciated.” trudy said in a perfect public service voice as she began to shut down the chopper.
“best damn pilot this side of the universe.” jake said.
trudy smirked. “you know it, baby.”
blue base: hidden was where you would be spending the next handful of months with grace, norm, trudy, and jake. setting up the field lab was no easy task. there was much to do. air filters had to be cleaned. link-pods and tech needed to be recalibrated to deal with the flux vortex. a new radio channel had to be set up in all the walkie-talkies. food needed to be stored away. bunks needed to be prepared.
you had so much to do— too much to do.
and yet you couldn’t stop thinking about tsu’tey.
“hey, where are you going?” grace asked as you rose from the table. you had all eaten dinner as a group once all the work had finally gotten done.
“i have to link.” you said as you tossed away your trash and took a last sip of water.
“it’s late. you should wait until tomorrow.” grace said with a small shake of her head.
“i can’t. i’m sorry.” you frowned at her and whispered, “it’s important. he needs to know.”
while the other three at the table exchanged confused glances, grace only sighed. she got up without another protest and fired up the link-pod. you climbed inside and laid back.
fuck was it going to be hard not to fall asleep.
as soon as your head hit the spongy blue foam, you could’ve fallen asleep right then and there. as soon as the hatch shut and your eyes closed, your vision tunneled into white.
the warm night air and smell of pandoran dinner were a comfort you didn’t know you needed. you laid by yourself for a moment. you were tired. incredibly so. it had been nearly two days since you’d been in your avatar at this point. traveling to the hallelujah mountains and setting up blue base: hidden had taken more time than you thought it would.
the center of home tree was alive with music and dancing. a massive bonfire in the middle of the gathering burned like a second sun. shadows danced across the walls as voices echoed in song. you couldn’t help but smile. you couldn’t help, either, as you scanned face to face looking for him.
“dream-walker, you’re awake.” the tsahik said.
your turned. sitting with her daughter, mo’at ran her fingers over a beaded chord. neytiri did not look at you as you crouched down to be level. instead, she focused on her own beaded chord.
“what’s all this?” you asked with a glance around at the festivities.
“a celebration of life.”
neytiri’s voice was like snow. cold and beautiful. it almost hurt your ears how pretty it was— and you realized it was the first time you’d ever heard her speak.
she met your eyes and said, “there has been a death since you were last here. we mourned and now we celebrate.”
your heart sank.
for a split moment— a moment you never wanted to live again, you thought it was him.
where was tsu’tey?
“an elder passed in her sleep.” the tsahik said. she watched your expression. she seemed to know exactly what you feared. “she lived a long, full life. now she will live forever in eywa.”
“i’m sorry for your loss…” you whispered, saying the only thing you could offer.
“there is no loss,” neytiri said without looking at you. instead, she was focused on something behind you. “you cannot lose what was not really yours.”
“eris.”
you looked up at the sound of your name rolling off his tongue. you shot up, your pupils blown wide. tsu’tey took ahold of your arm and squeezed you. his ears perked and the look in his eyes was one that you’d never thought you’d see.
relief.
“come.” tsu’tey said.
without another word, he whisked you away. he was always doing that. grabbing and pulling you. you wondered as you hurried to keep up with him, when that had become your favorite part of your day.
to your surprise, you left home tree.
where better to talk privately than where no one was at this hour?
“you were gone a long time.” tsu’tey said as he walked beside you through the sunset painted forest. soon, it would be dark and the forest would glow all on its own.
“i know…i’m sorry.” you said softly. you glanced up at him and heat rushed to your face. he was looking at you. “things— uh…things got real crazy real fast. i’m happy to report that jake is not a spy for the RDA.”
“you are sure of this?” tsu’tey asked, his brows drawing together.
“yes.” you said. you cracked a small smile and laughed. “grace is intent on making sure those who would wish to plant spies here never get the chance. she pulled my whole team out of the RDA facility. we are— well…maybe i shouldn’t tell you where we are.”
tsu’tey’s eyes widened and he asked, “are you not at your colony?”
“no. not anymore. we’ve gone wild. we are far from hell’s gate. far from here, too. at least, i think? i’m not really sure where those floating mountains are.”
you slapped your hand over your mouth.
tsu’tey smiled down at you and chuckled. “what? afraid i’ll come and kill you?”
“maybe…” you whispered, letting your hands drop.
“you have proven yourself to be useful, eris, so there is little to gain by killing you.” tsu’tey said. his arm brushed against yours and he met your eyes. “better yet, you’ve proven yourself to be trustworthy.”
your throat tightened and your chest caved but your forced yourself to smile.
silence settled over the two of you as you walked and you were thankful for it. your voice would’ve cracked and you would’ve cried if you had to say anything more. walking with him now, you realized how scared you had been the last 37 hours.
with him, you felt safe.
and it made you cry.
you stopped dead in your tracks and covered your face with your hands. big, wet tears rolled down your cheeks. the stress of the move and the exhaustion due to it made for an awful, potent mix of a complete and utter overwhelm.
“eris?” tsu’tey whispered your name too gently.
“i’m just tired,” you said. you wiped your eyes hard and tried to calm your breath. you looked up at him and shook your head. “i’m fine.”
“let us go back. we will get you back to your body so that you can sleep.” tsu’tey said.
“no.” you shook your head as tears dripped from your eyes. “i don’t want to go back yet. please. i want to stay here. i want to stay with y—”
you caught yourself.
not we’ll enough.
tsu’tey ears perked and his pupils rounded. carefully, he flicked his head. without a word, you followed behind him. you had no idea where you were going. you didn’t care. when you came upon a massive tangle of gigantic tree roots, the forest was beginning to glow in the shadows.
“this way,” tsu’tey said as he crouched down.
you raised your hand up to protect your face as you followed him into the dark. a tunnel. the smell of pandoran soil was strong. lights began to twinkle the deeper into the dark tunnel you walked until blue and purple were the only colors you could see.
underground was a small burrow-like cave. the grass shined as you walked. the tree roots were speckled with colorful dots. the gems in the walls of the burrow twinkled and reflected the light. in the center, an unlit firepit. woven mats lined the floor. baskets were placed against the walls.
“what is this place?” you asked softly.
“it is where hunters come to rest if they tire greatly before reaching home tree. there are many places like this in the forest.” tsu’tey said.
you watched as he lit a fire. slowly, you sat down on one of the mats. it took skill to make a fire that fast. you wondered if you’d master something like that one day. would he teach you?
“where is jake’s avatar?” you asked. the thought came to your mind like fire catching onto dry grass. you watched the flames swirl as he added kindle.
“the tsahik’s hut.” tsu’tey said without looking at you.
you looked at him though.
you watched the way his muscles rippled as he moved. you watched the way he shifted his weight as he reached around. when he finally sat down beside you, you stared at his face. his frustratingly handsome face.
was it wrong that you found him handsome?
he was a ten-foot-tall blue alien and all you wanted to do was let your head drop into his lap and fall asleep.
“why do you look at me like that?” tsu’tey asked. his voice was low. low and curious. he turned his head and met your eyes.
you pursed your lips. “like what?”
“like…” tsu’tey hesitated. perhaps he didn’t have the words in english. he cracked an awkward smile. “like you want to…eat me.”
your eyes widened and you couldn’t help but laugh. as heat filled your face, you looked away. “i don’t look at you like that…”
“not— not like you want to chew me and swallow.” tsu’tey was quick to say, worried he confused you. he tried to catch a glimpse of your face as he sat forward. “but like you want to…i don’t know. forget it. i can’t express it well.”
“it’s because i think you’re hot.”
when he didn’t say anything, you forced yourself to look at him. his ears were perked. he was waiting for you to explain. to say more. you found it hard to.
“hot…” tsu’tey repeated. “like i burn you?”
“kinda.” you said with a small laugh. you played with one of the braids in your hair as you stared at the fire. “it just means i…i think you’re attractive. you’re good looking. i think you’re hot.”
“is that why you try to put your mouth on mine?” tsu’tey asked.
you wanted to curl into a ball and die.
“yeah…” you said softly, nodding your head. you exhaled the air in your lungs awkwardly.
“i feel like that about you.”
you nearly broke your neck looking up at him so fast. your eyes widened and your lips parted in a soft expression of shock. you don’t know why it surprised you so much. he had literally tried to fuck you in the hot springs.
still, it was different hearing it so outright.
“you…think i’m hot?” you asked under your breath.
tsu’tey nodded once. “yes.”
“and you want to…kiss me?”
“all the time.”
you could’ve fainted.
your heart was racing and so much blood was rushing to your face that you felt light headed— but you had to keep your wits about you.
you laid back on your elbows and nodded, trying to seem as nonchalant as you could. “epic.”
“epic?” tsu’tey asked as he, too, laid back on his elbows. he looked at you. “what is epic?”
“forget it.” you said with a small shake of your head.
so embarrassing…
silence fell over the both of you. the burrow was full only with the sounds of crackling sticks. soft, even breaths. a small hum of some tune he whispered under his breath. you looked up at him but he kept his eyes on the fire.
it became warm in the safe haven below the ground. perfectly warm. it made your eyes heavy. his humming did, too. slowly, you slipped down to lay on your side. when you did, he did the same. on the mat beside you, he rested his head on his palm and watched you as he hummed.
“i don’t want to fall asleep…” you murmured, rubbing your eyes. you smiled faintly. “you’re making me sleepy.”
“what is it you want then?” tsu’tey asked in a low voice.
you shook your head.
he sighed the smallest bit. “just say it and i will do it.”
you hesitated for a moment.
tsu’tey tensed as you wiggled closer and curled up against his chest. he looked down at you. with your eyes closed, you tried to play it cool— but your heart was pounding in your chest.
the tension in you died away as he brushed his fingers down your arm. you relaxed as he laid down with you. his arm slid underneath your head. a perfect pillow. his legs tangled with yours. his lips rested against the top of your head.
he placed the faintest kiss on your hairline.
you were no longer tired.
all you could hear was the pound of your heart. it was like thunder. you breathed as deeply and as evenly as you could to keep yourself from squirming. you hoped he couldn’t feel the way your heart raced.
he could.
“mawey,” tsu’tey murmured, reaching between you to place his hand on your chest.
it only made you less calm.
slowly, you lifted your head to be eye-to-eye with him. with his hand still on your chest, he could feel the beat your heart had skipped. his pupils widened as you stared into his eyes. his tail was swaying, audibly swishing against the mat.
“what?” you asked softly.
“you smell good,” tsu’tey whispered, a small smile curling on his lip.
you bit the inside of your cheek. you knew what he was getting at. pheromones. you inhaled through your nose. the smell of the fire was all that you could really pick out. that and a sweet, faint aroma you figured was the grass.
you shook your head. “i only smell the fire.”
tsu’tey let out a low sigh but smiled anyways. “you are frustrating…do you know that?”
“i don’t mean to be.” you said softly.
“i know,” he dragged his fingers up your arm and pressed his palm against your face. “which is even more frustrating...”
tsu’tey kissed you.
and it took everything in you not to moan.
worse, it was harder not to devour him completely.
he kissed you slowly and softly, as if he were testing out the waters. maybe he expected you to feel different on his lips than real na’vi women did. or perhaps kissing was entirely different on pandora than it was on earth.
you let him lead.
you liked it best when he told you what to do.
your fingers laced through his braids as you kissed him back. his lips were like velvet. his mouth was hot. you wanted to taste him but you didn’t know if you could. you were too afraid to ruin this by doing something too human.
but you couldn’t help it.
you parted your lips in the hopes that he would give you more.
his tongue was wet and coarse as it dipped into your mouth. you sighed against his lips and wrapped your arms around his neck. guiding you to the ground, he leaned the top half of himself over you as your tongues slow danced together.
he tasted so fucking good.
he smelled so fucking good.
his pheromones hit you like an anvil to the head like in those old cartoons. salvia filled your mouth and a tingle began to vibrate in your belly. between your legs, your pussy began to weep. your tail curled itself tight around your leg. you felt breathless. you felt hot all over.
you felt so bad for not realizing what you did to him without even knowing it.
tsu’tey pulled his lips away from yours but he did not remove them from you. he glided them along your jaw. he nipped at your throat as you tilted your head back. you were squirming below him, panting and huffing as he kissed the sweetest spots you had. soon enough, you were grinding against each other.
a sharp yelp escaped you as he bit into the crook of your neck. fangs threatened to puncture through your skin— but they didn’t. he didn’t. he just wanted to bite. and bite you he did. over and over again, across your throat and shoulders, tsu’tey bit you hard enough to draw gasps from your lips but not enough to bruise.
your eyes shot open as he rolled you onto your side. the fire warmed your face but that was nothing compared to the flush that burned in your cheeks as he pressed himself against your backside. he pushed his hips forward into your ass. you could feel his erection. it throbbed against you from below his loincloth
“i will not mate with you face to face,” tsu’tey murmured against your ear. he dragged his lips along the pointed cartilage. “but we may do it like this and i will hold you just as close.”
“why can’t we face each other?” you asked softly, squirming back to be closer to him.
you tried to look over your shoulder and meet his eyes but he tucked his face down into the nape of your neck and bit down. you winced softly and closed your eyes, grinding back against him subconsciously.
“because if we look at each other, we grow attached.” tsu’tey said, his breath hot against your neck. it made you shiver. “na’vi can only mate for life by forming tsaheylu but there is still a deep connection that comes with staring into the eyes of someone you mount.”
“i may not be a virgin, eris, but i have never faced anyone while i coupled with them.” tsu’tey said as he reached down between you both and pushed your leg up to your belly. he was making room for himself. “that honor shall belong only to my mate.”
your heart sank at once. “to neytiri…”
“to whomever i chose.” tsu’tey said gruffly.
he didn’t have much of a choice.
you both knew that.
“this is wrong.” you said softly. you turned onto your tummy and looked at him. well, you tried your best to. it was hard to look him in the eye.
“what is?” tsu’tey asked with a small shake of his head.
“if you’re…if you’re supposed to mate with neytiri for life, what are we doing? it doesn’t feel right. it feels like you’re cheating on her.” you said through the tightness in your throat.
tsu’tey frowned and leaned into you. he pressed a soft kiss to your cheek. “na’vi cannot cheat. until na’vi form tsaheylu, they are not bonded to anyone or anything besides their ikran. once na’vi mate, there cannot be another.”
“we are doing nothing wrong.” tsu’tey murmured against your ear. he nipped at it softly. “but if you do not wish to, i will not make you.”
“i do wish to but it doesn’t seem right. i’m not…i don’t even know what i’m doing here. i’m not like you. not up here.” you pointed to your head. “and not here either.” you placed your hand on your chest.
tsu’tey pushed himself up onto his knees as you sat up. you were almost entirely turned away from him. slowly, he came up behind you. he ran his hands down your arms and peeked his head over your shoulder. you tried your best to ignore him.
“no matter what you are, eywa has chosen you for something.” tsu’tey whispered into your ear. he wrapped his arm around you and placed his palm against your thumping heart. “no matter what you are, this heart is strong.”
“no matter what you are, i see you.”
you turned your head and met his striking yellow gaze. your lips were ajar in soft shock. your ears pinned and perked. your tail curled itself into knots as butterflies ate at your insides.
he saw you.
he could see you.
at least, he thought he could.
he had no idea who the real you was.
you frowned at him as you studied the details of his face. “i wish that were true.”
his brows drew together and he tilted his head.
“you don’t even know me.” you said under your breath. you looked away and closed your eyes tight. “you said it yourself, my kind are a disease on this land. we don’t belong here. i…i shouldn’t be doing this with you.”
“i speak in anger. it is my curse. for that i am sorry.” tsu’tey said in a low, gentle voice. he slid his hands around your hips and down your thighs, keeping you close. “i will stop being cruel.”
“it’s not like i make it very easy for you to be nice sometimes,” you whispered as you watched his fingers trace the stripes on your thighs.
“we both need to improve.” tsu’tey said as he brushed his nose along your ear. “it is something we shall work on.”
he was being too affectionate. it was wearing your resolve thin— but was he being affection because he liked you or just to get laid?
your chest started to hurt all over again.
“we can’t,” you whispered.
tsu’tey sighed and hugged you closer. “we can.”
“no we can’t.” you turned. facing him was harder. you wished you stayed looking the other way. “there is no we. you are promised to another and in human culture, i’d be considered a homewrecker.”
“eris,” he breathed your name as if it pained him. “i don’t want neytiri. and nor does she want me.”
“i thought you said it was duty.” you said with a small shake of your head.
he scowled at you and squished your cheeks between his fingers. “you never stop talking…”
“wllwhatdyowan.” you tried to say through your squished lips. tsu’tey rolled his eyes and removed his hand from your face. rubbing your cheek, you asked again.
“what do you want?”
“what i want is for you to turn over and let me inside you, woman. i want that very much. to hold and bite and kiss you.” tsu’tey said almost impatiently.
you annoyed him so greatly.
and yet he wanted you anyways.
“will you at least let me earn it first?” you asked. your voice was hardly loud enough. your face was hot and your tail was swaying wildly behind you.
he tipped his head. “what?”
you sighed and looked down into your lap. you picked at the skin around your nails and rolled your eyes as embarrassment weighed on your chest. so stupid. this was so stupid. you were so, so stupid…
“i want that, too, but i can’t even shoot an arrow. i feel…unworthy.” you cringed as you said the word. you should’ve just shut up and let him fuck you.
“eris,” he tried to interject but you wouldn’t let him.
“once i learn how to be more like you and less like…like me…then…okay.” you looked up at him and bit your lip. you couldn’t read his expression. “we can…we can do whatever this is.” you gestured between you both to whatever tension was tangled around you.
tsu’tey only stared at you. you felt like a slide under a microscope. he took in every detail of you. every facet. every stripe and dot. every fine hair on your almost na’vi face.
he only nodded once. “it is decided then.”
— 🌌 —
strength was something you never thought you could have.
on earth, the pollution had made you feel sick. it kept you indoors. it made your mind hazy. on pandora, there was no mist in your mind. there was no laying around— not on the path the you had chosen to walk.
you wanted to be a warrior.
you would become one.
rain or shine, you were out in the forest with tsu’tey learning how to be strong. strong in your body, in your head, and in your heart. every day you would run. along the forest floor, over the towering tree roots, in the muddy riverbed. you ran and ran and ran and built up your stamina. every day you would climb. you climbed trees, rocks, and vines. you learned how to pull yourself, push yourself, and most importantly— catch yourself.
archery was the hardest for you.
the first time you shot an arrow, it ricocheted off a rock and nearly flew back at you. tsu’tey hadn’t even known that level of bad luck was possible. you hadn’t done much wrong, either. it was not your posture. it was not your technique.
it was simply poor luck.
“here…” he said under his breath, eyes still wide. he came up behind you and adjusted your elbow. the adjustment would change nothing. it was too small— but he didn’t want you to feel terrible. “try like that instead.”
“sure…” you muttered, keeping your elbow straight.
archery was far harder than riding a direhorse. while you sustained more injuries riding mitsia, at least there was pay off. there was visible progress. the art archery took you hours to get comfortable with.
and then it took you days to master.
“can you see?” tsu’tey asked as he grabbed your face. he looked into your eyes. “you can see, yes?”
“yeah, i can fuckin’ see.” you huffed as you turned your face away. you ignored him as you tried again. it was pouring. the rain was cold and the wind was harsh. “it’s the wind. the wind is fucking me up.”
“it was not windy yesterday when you did not hit anything.” tsu’tey said.
you hissed at him and he was quick to look away.
days were spent in the archery clearing. while jake was learning how to ride a direhorse with neytiri — who got stuck with training a demon of her own under orders from her father — you were stuck every day in that clearing with tsu’tey. he resorted to drawing in the dirt to pass the time as you missed target after target.
there was only so much bad luck someone could have, right? surely, you were just getting it all out now. one big awful week of it.
tsu’tey paced behind you as you drew your arm back. all day you had spent out in the glaring sun. not one time did you hit the target. instead, you hit everything around it.
seriously, you had to have been mentally deficient.
“breathe.” tsu’tey said.
you took a breath and held it. you focused. you closed one eye and honed in one the wooden board with a big yellow dot on it. you exhaled slowly. in the stillness between breaths, you shot the arrow.
patuk!
dead in the center of the yellow dot, your arrow pierced the board. the yellow and green calling card waved as the arrow rattled.
“ah!” you gasped, your eyes wide. “oh, my god!”
“yes!” tsu’tey exclaimed.
you turned to him and threw your arms up. you nearly screeched with joy as he hooked his arms around your waist and lifted you up. you hugged him tight as he yipped with excitement. he placed you back on the ground and cupped your face.
“you did it!” he said with a wide smile.
“i did it!” you giggled.
“do it again.” he encouraged, nudging your waist.
your smile dropped. “uh…”
“come on,” tsu’tey turned you around and urged you to raise the bow. “you can do it. breathe and shoot.”
you pulled an arrow out from behind your back and loaded the bow. you breathed deep and focused on the target. you let the arrow fly free and it narrowly missed.
you frowned.
“no, no. don’t get discouraged. again. come on.” tsu’tey said, giving your back a soft pat. “you can do it.”
you ignored how hot your face felt. you cleared your throat and shook out the nervous tension in your body. once more, you loaded an arrow into your bow. you kept your core tight. you kept your arm straight. you took a breath— and you let it fly.
patuk!
the arrow landed just a little ways above the first.
you turned your head to meet his eyes and you couldn’t help but smile. he smiled, too, and ran a gentle hand over your hair.
“well done, tsamsiyu.” tsu’tey said.
you dipped your head.
since that day in the hunters burrow, tsu’tey had made an effort to be kinder. in the same regard, so had you. while you still bickered and he still called you a moron every chance he got, there was less turmoil between the two of you.
replacing it was tension.
heavy, painful tension that made every moment harder than it should’ve been. no time was harder than when you would sit across from him and try you best to learn his language. you weren’t hopeless— but you weren’t fluent.
you watched as he gestured to the space around you. you scrunched your nose and clenched as if you were pushing the word forward in your mind.
“fuck, i know this.” you muttered.
“yes. you do. i’ve told you it fifty times.” tsu’tey said, continuing the gesture. he looked above. he looked below. he looked around.
“fra’u!” you gasped, pointing a finger at him. “fra’u! everything!”
tsu’tey grinned and nodded. he was quick to move onto the next word. he pursed his lips and whistled.
“fwefwi,” you said with a small laugh. “whistle.”
tsu’tey whistled again and swayed his hand from side to side. your brows drew together and your shook your head at him. he repeated the action once more, whistling and he swayed his hand.
“wind?” you asked. when he rolled his eyes at you, you corrected yourself. “hufwe.”
“mn,” he nodded. “and if you were to say that it was a light wind?”
“hufwetsyìp.” you said.
“good.” he smiled. he beckoned your forward and you scooted closer to him. he dragged his finger across your lower lid. “what are these?”
“nari.” you answered. “eyes.”
he smacked you with his tail. “this?”
you smacked him with yours. “kxetse. tail.”
he brushed his thumb across your lips. “and these?”
your mind went blank. staring at him, all you could do was blink. slowly, your lips curled into a smile as his did, too. he seemed to enjoy your sudden speechlessness.
“i— i don’t remember.” you said with a soft, bashful laugh.
he titled his head and cocked an eyebrow. “you don’t remember?”
you giggled and shook your head. “no, i don’t.”
“c’mon,” tsu’tey purred. “you know. you must know.”
your ears perked. hearing human slang come out of him was still so awe-striking. while his antics and habits rubbed off on you, yours rubbed off on him, too. you spent so much time together. little things like that were a reminder of just how much time you spent together.
“i don’t remember. seriously, i don’t. i think i have to touch your lips to remember.” you said with a small, devious little smile.
“oh…” tsu’tey’s eyes widened and his pupils dilated. he leaned forward and tried to suppress his smirk. “go on then, skxawng.”
slowly, you traced the shape of his lips. your breath caught in your throat as you remembered how it felt to kiss him. meeting his eyes, you could almost see his thoughts.
he was thinking the same thing.
“lips.” you said. you shook your head. “i don’t remember.”
“meseyri,” tsu’tey said softly. his breath was warm against your fingers. “awstengyem meseyri. two lips.”
“meseyri.” you repeated, gliding your fingers across the soft pinkish-purple skin of his lips.
tsu’tey pressed a soft kiss to the tips of your fingers.
you dropped your hand and pushed yourself forward, not being able to bare it another second. denying the pull between you the last few weeks had been torture. he grabbed your throat eagerly and tugged you into a kiss. a husky huff escaped him as you slipped your tongue into his mouth. he tugged at your waist, hoarding you closer.
your lips only got to meet for a moment before you heard the thundering of hooves.
tsu’tey pulled back and looked over the side of the towering root you were sat on. with the sun beginning to set, warriors and hunters began to return home. among them, jake and neytiri.
“come,” tsu’tey said. he had begun speak small words and phrases in na’vi to help familiarize you with the language. “it is time to eat.”
reluctantly, you got up.
“hey!” jake waved as you entered the dining circle. he was sat by himself waiting for you. unlike tsu’tey who would sit with you at dinners, neytiri had never once sat with jake.
although, tsu’tey had stopped sitting with you now that jake was around.
he gave your arm a soft squeeze before parting ways with you. sitting down in front of jake, you smiled. there was always relief in seeing him. especially since he looked pretty beat up, too, after a day of trying to ride a direhorse. it made you feel better to know that even a marine got bucked off.
“rough day?” you asked with a teasing smile.
“nah. not too bad.” jake said as he picked up a skewer of roasted meat. he took a bite and was quick to chew. “your day?”
“lots of na’vi practice. my heads all jumbled with it.” you said as you picked up a fig-like fruit and took a bite of it. it tasted so sweet that it made your tail curl in delight. no fruit had ever been that sweet and delicious on earth.
when sat together, earth was something you and jake talked about often. comparing foods, flora, animals, and customs, you and jake could talk for hours about how different pandora was. how wonderful it was. how scary it was.
“you know; in the end, i think coming in blind to all this may have been a good thing.” jake said as he chewed on the skewer like a toothpick. “i think if i had known half the stuff i know about this place, i would’ve stayed home.”
“really?” you asked, your brows raising. “i figured this was just your kinda place, marine.”
“well, it is now that i’m here. especially now that im here in this place.” jake glanced around at the clan and smiled. “but if i had been told there were actual fucking monsters and plants that could shock you and spray poison…i definitely would’ve passed on it.”
“maybe i would’ve, too, honestly. i got to study up on the language and the forest. conveniently, the RDA left out the palulukan and the nantang from my guide.” you sighed just a bit and you looked around, your eyes falling on someone sitting just close enough for you to see every detail of. “i think it more so boils down for me to missing things on earth rather than not wanting to be here.”
“what do you miss most?” jake asked.
“tv.” you sighed. the corner of your lip pulled into a smile. “not so much the movies. grace has movies if we really wanted to watch them. i’m talking about television. shitty reality shows. documentaries of what earth used to be like when it was green. cooking shows. stuff like that.”
“i think i miss the sounds of the city the most. i miss the noise. here, it’s too quite. in hell’s gate, it’s too mechanical. up in the mountains, it’s all wind and nothing else.” jake said as he leaned back on his arms. he shrugged a bit. “i miss the sound of people. humans like us. cars beeping. distant laughter. high heels on concrete. tires on a rainy street. hell, even hearing people swear at each other.”
“i haven’t thought about things like that being here.” you said. you glanced around. the chatter of the clan was filling to the ears— but not in the way the bustle and hustle of earth was. in some way, you did miss it. especially the tires on a rainy street. that had soothed you to sleep your whole life.
“that’s a good one.” you said as you met jake’s eyes. you nodded. “i definitely miss things like that.”
“sometimes, i even miss the stink.” jake laughed lowly. he shook his head and tilted it back, smiling to himself. “it’s stupid but i brace myself for the smell of smog and gas every time i go outside here. i feel stupid, of course, but i almost miss the way the air would wreak.”
you laughed, too, and felt silly for understanding exactly what he meant. it was awful. it was disgusting. but it was home.
it had been home.
this was home now.
firelight and bioluminescence. blue skin and yellow eyes. fangs. monsters in the forest. floating mountains.
you’d always miss earth — some part of you would — but this was home.
jake was still new to the forests and the clan and home tree like you had once been. to him, it was foreign. to you, it was only more and more familiar as the days passed. you were beginning to make friends with the other hunters who had yet to pass iknimaya. saeyla was the kindest to you. she always said hi when she saw you. mo’at was always happy to see you. eytukan dipped his head and was polite enough.
and then there was tsu’tey.
sometimes, it felt like he was the only thing that made the world go round.
“did you eat enough?” tsu’tey asked as he walked you to your hammock.
“oh, yeah. i’m stuffed.” you said with a smile, patting your belly. you turned to say goodnight but the expression on his face stopped you. “what?”
“i overheard you and jake’suli,” tsu’tey said with a bit of reluctance. he wouldn’t meet your gaze. “you miss earth?”
your brows drew together and you felt hot with guilt.
oh, jesus…did he think you wanted to leave?
you could’ve up-chucked your whole dinner.
“sometimes i do but…but i don’t want to go back.” you said as quickly as you could but the words nearly alluded you.
“but you miss the sounds of your people.” tsu’tey looked into your eyes and his ears dropped. “and that is different from my people, yes? a city is not like this.”
“no…no a city isn’t like this. it’s loud. really loud. always loud.” you said with a small sigh. your shoulders dropped and you couldn’t help but look around. “it’s always glowing. not like the forest glows but bright lights. so many lights. in order to sleep, i would have to close my blinds and sometimes even cover my face with my hoodie.”
“i prefer this.” you said as you placed your hand on his chest. he met your eyes and seemed to soften under your gaze. “this is peace. earth so rarely knew peace. even though you hunt and craft by hand here, it was so much harder to survive on earth.”
“you are happy, yes?” tsu’tey asked.
the question surprised you.
is that what he was worried about? your happiness?
“yes,” you whispered. your ears dropped but your tail swayed back and forth. the question touched you. deeply and wholly. “yes, of course. of course, i’m happy. truly.”
“that is good. i was afraid that…that i made you feel like you did not belong.” tsu’tey said with shame lacing his voice.
you were speechless. all you could do was shake your head. he didn’t make you feel that way…
“you are different and that is true…but you do belong here.” tsu’tey placed his hand on your chest. “strong heart. and it belongs right here.”
you laid awake that night in your bunk.
staring at the stars through the glass in the ceiling, your chest felt warm and fuzzy. in the dark, you smiled to yourself. his words had touched you. sometimes, it was hard to understand where you stood with tsu’tey. one day he couldn’t stand you, the next he was all over you and drowning you in affection. he was strict and then he was easy going. he was mean and then he was kind.
sometimes, it gave you whiplash.
other times, it made you want to smack him and then kiss him before he could feel the pain.
tomorrow you may very well fall asleep wanting to smack him upside the head but tonight you wanted nothing more than a single kiss from him.
— 🌌 —
“eris,” norm said, shaking you awake. “eris, get up.”
“huh?” you picked your head up and tried to open your eyes. “what’s wrong?”
“eris, he’s outside.”
your heart dropped.
miles quaritch was outside.
you scrambled out of your bunk and hurried to throw on a decent pair of clothes. you slipped into jeans and pulled on an RDA issued shirt. you fixed your hair as best you could and stepped into your boots. as you hurried through the small tactical base, you nearly tripped over your own feet.
fuck.
were your video logs about archery training insufficient? of course, they were but you had no idea what you were doing. you had no idea how to gather the kind of intel that the head of security wanted.
you almost forgot to grab an oxygen mask before going into the airlock. thank god for trudy.
pushing open the heavy metal door, the morning breeze was cold so high up in the atmosphere. your breath was ragged and nearly fogged your mask. the helicopter outside was…trudy’s.
and grace was not standing with the colonel.
she was standing with him.
tsu’tey was unbelievably gigantic.
your heart could’ve stopped. your knees nearly gave out as his ikran screeched at you. he raised a gentle hand and stroked the creatures long face. yellow eyes flicked towards you— and his pupils blew wide.
“i’ll leave you two to talk.” grace said as she passed by you.
‘no!’ you wanted to beg, ‘don’t leave me alone with him!’
the door sealed shut and so had your fate.
slowly, you turned and his shadow swallowed you whole. with a yip, he sent his ikran away. the blue, white, and yellow patterned creature dove off the cliff and soared through the skies. tsu’tey tilted his head at you, his tail flicking behind him as you approached.
“what— what the hell are you doing here?” you asked, your voice tight in your throat. “how…how the hell did you…how did you find us?”
“there is only one rock amongst the many that float with these on it.” tsu’tey said, flicking his head towards the field lab behind you.
“you are small.” tsu’tey said as he crouched down. he smirked as you recoiled. “are you scared of me?”
“no,” you lied. you steeled your spine, trying to seem taller than you actually were. “you’re just…big.”
big was an understatement. he was over ten feet tall and you were lucky to be the height you were.
tsu’tey’s tail swayed through the grass. if it hit you, it probably would’ve bruised you. it may have been able to break a rib. he seemed mindful of that fact as you stared at it.
“what are you doing here?” you asked as you looked back up into his eyes. even when he was crouched you had to tilt your head back.
“i have come to learn about you.” tsu’tey said. he crawled forward to be closer and sat down in front of you. finally, you were somewhat level. “you spend all day and all night with me…it is only fair i come to you.”
“i…” you didn’t even know what to say. your head was spinning. it was hard to breathe even with oxygen being pumped right into your face. “there isn’t much to do here…you won’t fit inside the field lab easily. you wouldn’t be able to breathe well, either. it’s all oxygen in there. besides, it’s crowded.”
“can we not sit here?” tsu’tey asked with a small tilt of his head.
“we can…but it’s just— it’s cold.” you whispered, drawing your arms in close around you. you should’ve grabbed a sweater or a hoodie.
“come,” tsu’tey motioned for you to sit in his lap. “you will be warm here.”
“oh— oh, my god, no.” you said. you looked away as red filled your cheeks. “the whole crew is no doubt watching us through the window. i can’t just sit…there.”
tsu’tey looked passed you. sure enough, they were all watching. they were quick to scramble but they couldn’t go far. there was little privacy. jake would link soon. so would norm and grace— if grace decided not to study her samples and log her findings. and trudy would just…do whatever trudy did to pass the time.
“can i take you somewhere?” tsu’tey asked with an edge of caution to his voice.
“nope.” you refused. shaking your head and wiggling a finger at him, you said, “absolutely not. my fragile human ass stays put.”
tsu’tey huffed under his breath and pursed his lips. “always so difficult.”
“if you really wanted…we could use the west wing. it’s for bunking and it’s not going to be full at this hour now that everyone is up. i can see if grace can find a way for you to breathe.” you said with a small shrug.
tsu’tey seemed apprehensive to be stuck inside a small metal box but he flicked his head.
you were quick to hurry inside. within a few minutes, grace had made a reversed oxygen mask for tsu’tey. it was janky and if it didn’t work well he’d have to go back outside, but she had filled a larger oxygen canister with pandoran air and found a spare mouth-and-nose mask she connected to it.
tsu’tey clearly regretted his choices as he crawled through the front door. you were quick to guid him straight to the west wing. the ceiling was a bit taller there because of the bunks, so he didn’t have to keep his head hunched over so much.
“hey, watch the tail.” trudy said.
tsu’tey tucked his tail. he was quick to slide himself into the bunk room. you closed the door behind him and rested your forehead against it. you sighed. your heart was racing. slowly, you turned. when you did, you found him staring at the wall decorated with pictures of your life on earth. posters of your favorite animals. cities. pictures of you and your parents. pictures of your sister.
“i’m the one on the left,” you said as you pulled you mask off. carefully, you brushed your hair out of your face.
“i know.” tsu’tey said, gently touching the photo. he looked at you and his pupils dilated. “i know you, eris.”
you let out a soft breath. he reached down and lifted the mask to his face, inhaling slowly. unlike you, he could breathe oxygen for a while. not forever but longer than you could breathe his air.
“i did not think you would look so much like you.” tsu’tey said as you approached. while he sat on the floor, you sat on the bed. jake’s bunk.
you shrugged and shook your head. “ta-da?”
tsu’tey grinned at you even though he did not quite understand what it was that you meant. “ta-da, yes.”
“so…” you smacked your hands on your thighs and exhaled softly. “what do you wanna do?”
“i want to know what tivee is.” tsu’tey said. he looked around the room and tried to pin point what may have been tv. “i heard you tell jake’suli you missed it and i want to see why.”
you shook your head. “i don’t think i should.”
“why not?” tsu’tey asked, his invisible brows drawing together.
“because you may like it too much and start an industrial revolution like the RDA is trying to do.” you said with a soft laugh.
“i do not know what you just said but i want to see tv.” tsu’tey insisted.
you sighed. there was little point in saying no. getting up off of the bed, you walked around him. he turned, being mindful not to knock into anything. he watched as you crouched down to plug in the chord. you pressed the button on the bottom and the screen filled with static.
“it may not even work.” you said over your shoulder.
you flicked through the tapes grace had in box and pulled out the most fitting one. star wars: return of the sith. tsu’tey scooted closer as the movie began. you took a seat beside him and used the remote to turn up the volume. as the opening credits rolled, the music made his ears perk.
“what does it say?” tsu’tey asked, watching the yellow letters roll across the screen. he brought the mask to his mouth and took a deep breath.
you read the preface of the movie to him and did your best to explain what it all meant. you knew it was lost to him but he was fixated anyways— especially when humans appeared on the screen. he was transfixed.
“did you have that?” tsu’tey asked, pointing to the flying car on the screen.
you laughed and shook your head. “at the time this movie came out, flying cars didn’t exist. in my time, i didn’t have enough money.”
he looked down at you.
none of it made sense.
“no,” you said with a small smile. “i didn’t have a flying car.”
he nodded and turned his attention back to the screen. you sat in silence as you watched the movie. every now and again he lifted the mask to his mouth to take a breath. he would ask a question here and there. it amazed him— but he did not understand much of what was said. soon enough, he wasn’t quite seeing the point of a movie.
“why do you watch stuff like this?” he asked.
“for fun.” you said with a small shrug. “humans really value entertainment. star wars is one of the biggest movie series ever. very well loved.”
“do you like this movie?” he asked with a curious tilt of his head.
you gave him your honest answer.
once more, it fell silent between you. you watched the movie with a sense of nostalgia weighing heavy on your heart. this was the first time you’d actually sat and watched anything since you’d arrived on pandora. it was comforting yet so foreign at the same time.
“can i touch your hair?”
you looked up at him, your eyes wide and your cheeks red. you had not expected that question. all you could do was blink.
“sure…” you whispered.
so carefully you weren’t sure if he even touched you, tsu’tey ran his hand over the top of your head. his ears perked and his tail swished against the metal floor.
“soft…” he murmured, purely infatuated. “different than mine. so…thin. like very fine twine strings.”
“well, you are like twelve feet tall.” you said with a small laugh. he could’ve easily crushed you in the palm of his hand if he wanted to. “everything about you is bigger than me.”
“your chest is big.” tsu’tey said, looking down at your breasts.
you couldn’t help but laugh. nodding, you said, “yeah. i told you, human women have bigger chests than na’vi women.”
“can i touch?” he asked, extending a hand towards you.
you were quick to cover your breasts and gawked at him. “no! are you crazy?”
“why not?” tsu’tey asked. he moved closer to you and tilted his head. now more so than ever, he was entirely cat-like. it took looking at him through human eyes to see it. “is it because you are in this body and not your na’vi one?”
“yeah,” you breathed, looking away from him.
he pursed his lips the smallest bit. “can i kiss you?”
“jesus christ, are you in heat or something?” you asked.
“no, not now.” he said. he shrugged and flicked his head towards you. “i am just…curious. i want to kiss you as you and see if it is the same.”
“just a kiss?” you glanced at him.
“just one.” he nodded, sitting on his hands as if to promise you he wouldn’t do anything more than that.
slowly, you pushed yourself up. standing in front of him, you were level enough. your heart raced in your chest as he stared at you. he took in every movement you made. he tensed as you neared and that made you even more nervous.
“this is weird…” you said, pulling back the smallest bit.
“no,” he insisted. he reached out a hand that ghosted along the small curve of your back. “it’s not.”
you swallowed your embarrassment alongside your pride as you leaned forward and pressed a soft, lingering kiss onto his lips.
sparks shot through you from your head to your toes.
when you pulled back, his pupils were so large you could hardly see the yellow of his eyes. his tail smacked into the metal frame of the bunk bed and thumped wildly against the floor. as your cheeks reddened and reddened and reddened his ears perked up and up and up.
“why are you red?” he asked softly.
“i’m flustered…” you whispered.
tsu’tey smiled. “it was good.”
“it was good,” you said with a small, quick nod.
“again?” he asked, leaning forward. “to make sure.”
you couldn’t help but laugh.
he smiled as you reached up and placed your hands on his face. he dipped his head down and kissed you again, softly and sweetly. kisses like these were much different from how he kissed you when you were the same size and same blue shade.
“good,” he purred. his lips curled into a smile as he reached down to pull the mask to his face. he took a few deep breaths. “very good.”
you could only watch him in awe. you sat down in front of him and tried to wipe the blush from your cheeks. of course, it didn’t work. not even a little bit. he hunched over to be more level with you and it made you giggle.
he was just too big.
too large.
too handsome.
he was even more striking to the human eye.
you sat quietly as he picked up your hand and examined your five little fingers. he was intrigued by your pinky. to him, it was an extra pinky. with his four thick fingers, your hand seemed so frail and dainty. he touched the lines of your palm and smiled to himself as you shivered at the sensation.
“it is strange,“ tsu’tey said lowly. “how you are so different and still so the same…i thought it would be hard to recognize you. hard to see you with this face and not that face…but it is not hard.”
you curled your whole hand around his index finger and pulled it close. you placed his hand on your chest. your heart beat below his palm. he met your eyes and his ears perked. it made you smile.
“i see you.” you whispered.
tsu’tey leaned down and pressed his forehead against yours. he smiled to himself, enjoying the way your little heart beat so strong under the tips of his fingers as he neared.
“i see you,” he said like a promise.
this chapter was so much fun to write :P i love soft tsu’tey!!!! hope you guys enjoyed. lmk your thoughts <3 as always, thanks for reading!! — moony
(btw formatting is a bit different just because it's so long)
all parts
The cell you were locked in was quiet. No one spoke, all too deep set in their grief to conjure any words. The white lights were close to blinding as you sat up against the wall, staring at the roof as all of your senses started to blend together.
Grace looked to you with a sigh, as she looked at all of her other colleagues. She was full of grief, she was mourning with the people even as she sat locked away from them. Jake was as well, his mind full of Neytiri’s screams, the screams that were directed at him.
The faint sound of the roll of a food cart could be heard in the distance. Was it already lunch? Had the days blurred as all of you rotted in this tedium room?
“What’s going on brother? Long time no see.” The sound of Trudy’s voice was like a weight lifted off all of your shoulders. You could see in Norm’s eyes as they lit up to the sound of her. She pushed in the cart, the solider guarding your cell getting up to inspect it. “Personally I don’t feel these tree hugging traitors deserve steak.”
“They get steak? Bullshit. Lemme see that.” Trudy chuckled as she grabbed the gun out of her belt, pressing it against the man’s skull as his body froze.
“Yeah y’know what that is. Down. All the way down.” Trudy held the man until he reached the ground. Her arm swung back as she hit the man’s head with a loud thud, his unconscious body hitting the ground.
“Trudy!” Norm yelled out to her, relieved to finally see her again. He was already standing at the glass door along with Grace. A wide smile on his face.
“Max!” The gangly scientist came running in. His fingers clumsily fidgeting with the techy key stuck in his pocket. The beep of the door was a signal for you all to start running, making your way through the corridors of the RDA base.
You all burst through each door, feet moving fast as you all made you way towards the ships. “Trudy! Go fire the ships!” Jake called out as Norm ran up to her, grabbing a hold of the pistol Trudy held out for him.
You ran beside Grace, Max lagging behind slightly. Jake had his gun out in a ready position as he moved ahead of the three of you.
“Here!” You grabbed the oxygen masks, handing on to Grace, then to Jake. Before putting one on yourself. You turned to Max who was watching the door closely. “Thankyou.” You patted his back before running off to catch up to Grace and Jake who were heading towards the ship.
Grace and Norm pulled Jake onto the ship, you held his chair in your hands readily to put it onto the aircraft. “C’mon!” Trudy yelled from her seat, the sounds of the blades chopping the air making it hard to here. But not loud enough to cover the noise of gas hissing out of the building above you. With the colonel standing on the deck firing at the group below. “I’m taking fire! Let’s go!”
You threw the chair into Norm’s arm as you climbed up into the body of the ship. Bullets racketeering off of the metal. Machinery whirling as Norm steadied you into the ship.
That’s when you felt it. This blinding pain that made you stumble into the ship. You couldn’t even fathom a word only tiny whimpers of pain as you gripped onto your side. The warm liquid pooling in your hands, as the sounds of your crew cheering was fading into nothing.
Your entire abdomen felt hot. It was burning as your body started to stain red. It was like your abdomen was sinking from the pressure of the pain. Like it was separating from your body as you clung onto the wound for the tiniest bit of relief.
“Norm you good? Grace? Shit.” Jake turned to you, his sudden changed in emotion making Grace and Norm both turn their heads towards you immediately.
You could only give him a faint smile as your bloody hands shook. “Y/N is hit!”
“What?”
“Norm get the trauma kit!” Grace yelled as Jake studied your injured physique. Norm ran to where the trauma kit was stored, fumbling to get the kit back to you.
“Just keep pressure on. You’re okay.” Jake was shocked, he had no idea what to do. You were in an incredulous amount of pain, but you refused to feed into it. You weren’t going to let this get you.
“I- I’m fine. I’m g-good.” You could barely make words as Grace ushered Jake to moved, immediately tending to your wounds.
Grace and Norm helped move you into the pod. Every movement sent a shockwave of pain into the rest of your body. Jake knew the pain, he knew it was debilitating so any ounce of dislike he had towards you shrivelled away. He couldn’t have you die, not when he knew there was a way to help you.
Grace pushed a needle into your arm as you hissed in pain. “Oh you big baby. You’ll be alright, you’ll be just fine.”
“Tsu’tey I want to see him.” Grace smiled down at you sadly, pushing the hair out of your face.
“Just focus on not dying okay?” Your lip quivered and Grace caught on, she saw your despair. Her heart hung heavy looking at the one she had treated poorly dying in front of her.
“Grace!” Jake whispered, calling her over to where he had sat himself in solitude, thinking of something to get back to the people, to get you back to Tsu’tey. He imagined if he were in your shoes. He’d be wanting nothing more to go to Neytiri, he understood you fully.
Grace walked over, twisting her brows in confusion waiting for him to say something. “I can get her help. The people. The people can help.” She scoffed at him in disbelief.
“Why would they help us?” Jake’s stare hardened, he knew she was right. But deep down he ached to be with the people again, to bring you to them. To help them, to help you.
Tsu’tey sat at the front of the clan now as Olo’eyktan, as they all sung to Eywa. Praying for refuge, praying for help. Every few seconds he would glance at you. Well, your body and his heart would ache, like he had been shot with an arrow straight through him. He wondered if the fall of Hometree was the last time he would ever get to see you.
He wondered if you embracing him after the destruction was the only time he got to truly hold you. In a time of sorrow and a time of death. He wondered if that was the last time you ever would talk to him.
If he would never be able to fully apologise for his action. That he would never truly be able to convey just how much he yearns for you, how much it pained him to push you away. How much he regrets it all, that it was only for his promise. His promise to Neytiri that he shattered your heart.
He wished that he could mend it back together. He wished that you would come back to him so that the times you spend with him, the time when he did not hold back his affections. That they would not be in times of war. He wanted those times to be joyous.
He was broken out of his depressing thoughts as the light suddenly vanished and the sound of large gusts of wind filled his ears. Dust erupted from off of the ground as the loud screech of Toruk was heard.
Tsu’tey stood up, his eyes wide and pupils blown in astonishment. He had to blink a few times to even realise that he was not dreaming. The Jakesully was Toruk Makto. The alien that led them to the destruction of Hometree was Toruk Makto.
He watched as Jake made his way towards Neytiri. Parting through the people as they stood in awe. The laid their hands on each other as they shared a moment. It made his heart twinge. If Jake was back, why weren’t you?
“Tsu’tey, son of Ateyo. I stand before you, ready to serve the Omaticaya people.” Jake spoke in his language, showing his dedication to the people he was here to serve. Tsu’tey could only stare, his body frozen as his lips twitched. He was standing above the Toruk Makto, Toruk Makto was standing before him. “You are Olo’eyktan, you are a great warrior, I know I have hurt you and your people, your love, but I can’t do this without you.”
The sound of the giant screech behind him made Tsu’tey’s gaze switch from the rider to the animal. His ears perked up as he was still frozen, not knowing how to handle this.
“Toruk Makto…” He put a hand on Jake’s heart. Symbolizing their union. “I will fly with you.” Jake’s strong expression weakened just for a split second before he looked away from the leader back to his mate and Tsa’hik, only to look back at Tsu’tey.
“She is dying. Y/N is dying.” Tsu’tey felt his entire body shut down, his mind swirling into a pool of nothingness, he felt numb. Nothing was concerning him more than your safety. His light touch on Jake’s chest turned into him grabbing tightly onto the shoulder of Toruk Makto as he concentrated on not breaking down in front of his people. It was as if the air was kicked out of him he gasped for air, looking at Mo’at and Neytiri. They’re faces were dripping in concern at Tsu’tey’s expression.
He was pale, eyes watery, mouth parted as if he was trying to scream but nothing was coming out. He looked at your Na’vi body, that was laying safely in a carrier. But it no longer felt as if he was looking at your body but rather your corpse. “Bring her here. NOW!” Tsu’tey yelled out, mostly at Jake. He needed to know you were alright, he needed to see you, even if it was the last time.
Jake held your injured body in his arms, Tsu’tey was crouched over your avatar, gazing at its sleeping form as he laid it carefully, making sure your hair was out of your face. But as soon as your fragile body was in his line of sight he jumped up scampering over to Jake. He held his hands out, begging to take you from Jake.
This was the first time he had seen your true form. You were so fragile, so small, so weak. He carefully took a hold of you, emotions clambering up his throat as he tried so hard not to cry. He never wanted to see you like this, dying. He never wanted to hold your dying body in his arms, but yet here he was.
You looked so different yet the same. Your eyes had that same sparkle, your eyebrows furrowed in the same way. You were still the alien that he loved even in a different body.
“Baby demon? Please.” His voice was soft, lulling you to wake. He watched as your eyes fluttered open, he had never watched someone more intensely. You slowly brought your hand up to his face, it barely was the size of the space between his mouth and chin.
“Tsu’tey?” He nodded biting his lip to stop his sobs from coming out. “I’m so sorry.” Tsu’tey shook his head as he placed you down onto the mossy ground.
“I am sorry, I- I am sorry for everything I have said to you baby demon.” You shook your head, grabbing onto his fingers. Your eyes slowly started to close as Tsu’tey crouched beside you, watching as the white tendrils latched onto your body.
“The great mother may choose to save all that she is, in this body.” Mo’at explained to Jake as Grace and Norm listened carefully. Tsu’tey was not hearing her words nor listening to them. He only focused on you. He watched the way your small breathes started to not come as regularly, and the tendrils started to cover the entirety of you. He prayed to Eywa that you would not leave him, that you would come back to him so he could have this second chance with you. So he could cherish you the way you deserved.
“Is that possible?”
“She must pass through the eye of Eywa and return. But Jakesully, she is very weak.” Tsu’tey winced at her words, a sharp pain in his heart burning as he turned to look at Mo’at.
“She will pass, she is strong.” Tsu’tey rested his hands on your body softly, feeling the warmth of your body slowly slip out. He sat down placing his kuru in the ground to join the ritual. He was going to do everything to make sure that you stayed with him, he cannot lose anything else, anymore.
Mo’at chanted and the clan followed. The chants and her sounds filled the area as you felt your mind start to fade out, it felt like it was running from you and all you could do was chase after it.
The bright lights of the Tree of Souls lit up the ground as the chants grew louder. You felt yourself slipping from your consciousness, but it was welcomed. You felt safe as if you knew where you were headed and the journey there was set out for you.
Mo’at hushed the clan as she looked over to your still body, your eyes moved hastily under your shut eyelids. It was quiet, the suspense was driving Tsu’tey to insanity.
Then the brightness disappeared. Your eyes stopped moving and your small breaths became none. Tsu’tey shot up looking over at your two bodies with concern. “Has it worked?” His voice was quiet as if he was too scared to face an answer she did not want to here.
Mo’at looked over at him and stood over your avatar body. Her eyes widened. Your eyes were now moving rapidly under the blue eyelids, taking deep breathes as your mouth slowly parted. Mo’at gave Tsu’tey a knowing look as she looked down at your body slowly waking up.
“Y/N!” He jumped over to you holding your cold face in his hands. Your eyes fluttered open, looking at the tear-struck man above you.
“Tsu’tey?” Your voice was weak, as if you were using it for the first time. Your hands came up to his cheeks holding them.
“Yes. Yes. It’s me.” He put his hands on your head lifting you up slowly. “Are you alright?” His eyes were studying you for any sign of illness, but you just nodded.
“I’m okay. I’m okay.” He smiled before helping you up onto your feet again. Mo’at smiled at the two as she stood in front of her clan.
“She has passed through the eye of Eywa! She is Omaticaya!” The sounds of the people erupted, cries and chants of celebration as Tsu’tey simply held onto you, he was so grateful that he got to have a second chance with you, that now he could finally court you. Because you weren’t a demon or an alien. You were Omaticaya, one of the people forever.
The other clans were coming in at a rapid pace. Every minute there was another ikran flying in or direhorse trotting to the Tree of Souls.
You couldn’t deny it, but it was odd. Living in your avatar, well it wasn’t an avatar any longer. This was you. You felt as if you were torn between two places but the other place, your human body, no longer existed for you.
You weren’t to ever wake up from a link again, instead you simply slept in your body and woke up in the same one. You never had to log anything ever again, and you never were to experience anything human. It was odd, it was as if the bullet did not take away your life but just your human one.
Though you and Tsu’tey had come closer, realising your affections towards the others. The calm before the storm gave you time to sit with the weight of his previous words. You knew he did not mean them, but they still hung on your heart.
You wished to talk to him about it, but he was busy. So incredulously busy being a leader. You knew he pushed you away because of duties once. So you refused to get in the way of his duties again.
Tsu’tey could sense something was wrong though. He could see it in the way you would longingly stare at him with a sorrowful look. Or you would go to talk to him, only to cower out when another Na’vi approached him. Though he was glad to finally see you be one of his people, to finally see you interact and talk with the people in the clan as if they were your friends. He knew that he needed time to have you alone, to finally set things out between you two.
So as nightfall came he made his way towards you. He saw you sitting with some of the Na’vi children as the braided tiny bits of your hair. It warmed his heart seeing you with children, thinking of maybe having his own.
“Y/N?” His voice made all of them look up, surprised to see their Olo’eyktan. You smiled up at him. “Would you like to walk with me.” You nodded, standing up thanking the girls for your braids.
“Yeah of course.” He smiled back at you, taking your hand in his. Something that still felt foreign to you, him welcoming your touch so easily. He lead you away from the large crowd on Na’vi back towards the river. Where he cleaned the medicine off your knee.
“I can sense something is wrong. I do not want to go to war again with a dispute between us. I cannot live with the guilt.” Tsu’tey poured his concerns out to you as you gave him a sad smile.
“Sit with me.” You sat on the ground, right next to the river-bed, tugging Tsu’tey’s hand to make him sit in front of you. He sat down with a thud as you pulled him a little too hard, to then stare at you. Waiting for some kind of answer to his queries.
With a loud sigh you started to express your worries. “I know that times have changed, and that there is no longer a promise to be made with Neytiri. But I can’t help but think that the times we spent together, and the words you said about them. I can’t help but think that the words you said are still true to your thoughts.” You let out a shaky sigh before continuing. “I don’t want to be a parasite, or a mistake to you. I don’t want you to be ashamed of loving me but I am afraid that you do.”
Tsu’tey was gutted. He never wanted his words to cut you so deep that they never healed. He knew his words were hurtful and if he could go back in time and stop himself he would. He scooted towards you so he could rest a hand on your cheek, stroking it softly.
“Every word I said was because I was a skxwang. I was frightened for my people, for my place in the clan. I had made promises…and I am so sorry for not being brave enough to break them. I was scared of loving you yawne, but…I see you.” He was looking at you with pure love, not a single fibre in his body was not overwhelmed with the love he felt for you that he was pouring out.
You brought your hands up to his face, tucking the long braid that had slipped from it’s tie out of his face. “I see you Tsu’tey.” It was as if a weight was lifted off of both of your chests as Tsu’tey pressed your foreheads together.
He pressed your bodies together, longing for contact that he had been depriving himself of for the longest time. He wanted to hold you with no impending doom. He wanted to hold you just because he can, not because you were dying.
His embrace was tight, as he rested his head in the crevice between your head and shoulder. You hugged him back tightly, turning your head to giving him a kiss on the top of his forehead. Tsu’tey looked up at you, a new sense of want in his eyes.
He sat up, resting on his heels as he delicately held your chin. You saw his gaze fall to your lips and back to your eyes then back to your lips. He so desperately wanted to kiss you, to finally taste your sweet love. All he needed was a look, so when he looked back up to your pretty eyes to see them fixated on his lips, he didn’t hold back any longer.
His face etched closer and closer to yours, teetering towards your parted mouth as you stared up at him with a love-struck expression. His face was so close you could feel his breath, you could smell his desperation. All he needed was to look back to you again, to see you also moving closer, to see you edging closer to his lips that he finally connected you both together.
It was as if you were dropped into a pool of sweet bliss. His hands moved down to the small of your back, holding you close as you slowly moved into his lap. Tsu’tey felt as if his heart had exploded and mended itself. He was hungry, moving his hands all over your body as he feverishly kissed you.
Your eyes were squeezed tight, hands gracefully placed on Tsu’tey’s cheeks as you returned the kiss with the same vigour that he kissed you. He broke from your lips, gasping as he stared at you with his pupils blown. He couldn’t believe you were so close to him, that you were both sharing this beautiful moment together, when only a couple days ago you laid in his arms dying.
“What is it?” You asked him, your voice slightly hoarse as you deeply gazed into his eyes. He looked at you, and he felt it in his stomach, so deep within himself.
“I cannot go another minute without you knowing that I want you by my side. I want to be your mate, I want to fulfill my duties and I want you to stand next to me. I cannot go on without knowing if you reciprocate my desires Y/N.”
You felt like you were going to cry. This is what you spent your days dreaming about, you longed every day to be by his side, you yearned for him to one day ask for your hand. It was surreal and all you could do was give him a teary eyed nod.
Tsu’tey turned slightly to pick up him kuru, gazing at you, waiting for you to follow. “We will be mated for life, I do not want you to regret your decisions.” He didn’t want you to say no, he would crumble if you did. But he needed you to know what he was asking of you.
But you knew exactly what he meant, and exactly what you wanted. “Tsu’tey, how could I ever regret being with you?” You spoke to him softly, grabbing your kuru. There was no way you could deny your anxiousness, but the thought of finally being with Tsu’tey, connecting with the one you so dearly covet for. That beat any sense of insecurity you had at that moment.
Tsu’tey held his kuru tightly, watching the tendrils open as yours did the same. He looked into your eyes, searching for any sign of second thoughts but he was left empty-handed. You inched your queue towards him until the tendrils spiralled together.
Your pupils were blown and so were Tsu’tey’s. The feeling was overwhelming, you could feel everything he was feeling. You could feel his emotions, his desires, his thoughts. Everything. You were one.
Tsu’tey felt it all too. Overwhelmed in the feeling he breathed in slowly, gazing at you. He could feel all of your wants and fears. Your desires and wishes. But the one that plagued both for your minds was the desire for touch. So you both fed into it. He readjusted you in his grasp kissing you softly as he ran his hands up your body.
You ran your hands up his flexing abdomen as you started to lay back. “I love you.” You whispered to him, as he started to rest above you.
“I love you more.” He spoke as he felt your warm body beneath him invite him into you, invite him into your heart, your mind, your soul, and your body.
Unfortunately, you can’t live in newly-mated bliss forever. And it didn’t last long, barely a week. Jake broke the news to Tsu’tey as soon as he heard.
0600, 6:00am tomorrow Quaritch was rolling out every gun, man, ship, and missile towards the Tree of Souls. This was war. The clan however was no longer frightened, there were over 2000 warriors ready to fight back for their land, their home and they were no longer afraid.
But you were. You were terrified. Not only could many people die, Tsu’tey could. He was Olo’eyktan, his was going to be in the front lines of this fight. You knew he was a great warrior but it didn’t settle your nerves, not at all.
So as Tsu’tey finally returned to where you both had made camp for yourself he could sense your fear. “what troubles you?” He asked a light hand on your shoulder as he turned you to face him.
“I am scared Tsu’tey.” You looked up at him, the radiant glow of the forest reflecting off of him to make him glimmer in the night.
“Mawey, there is nothing to be afraid of. We will win, and I will return to you.” Your lip quivered, the reality of him never coming back to you settling in as he made that promise.
“Promise?” He nodded taking both of your hands in his, kissing your knuckles.
“Promise.” He kissed your hands once more, looking up to your teary eyed expression. “Please do not cry, I will cry too.” You giggled at him pulling him into a tight embrace. He squeezed you back tightly resting his head on top of yours.
It was currently 4:00am, and the warriors were all preparing. Sharpening their knives, stocking their arrows, painting their war stripes. It was all starting so fast.
You had Tsu’tey in front of you along with bowls of paint laid neatly beside you. You dipped your fingers in the thick liquid, flicking them to get the excess off before drawing on Tsu’tey’s stripes.
He sat there quietly, nose flaring as he exhaled whenever your fingers grazed his skin. You were making sure every stripe was perfect as you slowly drew the bigger ones down his arms and chest.
“You can go quicker, I must paint you as well.”
“Do not rush me, you will be the best painted warrior out there.” Tsu’tey mumbled under his breath as you arched your brow at him. He gave you a smile before taking the bowls from beside you and moving them closer to him.
He dipped his hand in the yellow paint, the same colour he had and drew a matching triangle on your face. He then did the same on your chin, using his thumb to draw a line, not forgetting to slightly graze your lips in the process.
He followed the triangles down your chest and up your arms. He was soft with you, only slightly grazing his fingers against your skin as if you could break any minute.
“There. You are ready.” The paint was sticky on your skin, but nothing you couldn’t get used to.
Time was ticking, and every moment you felt as if Tsu’tey was about to leave your grasp. His hands still lingered on your body as he pulled you closer to him. So that he could sit on the ground with you sitting in between his legs, fiddling with the beads on his necklace, as he braided small parts of your hair.
“I must go soon, Jake and I will lead the warriors. We must get there before the demons.” You nodded knowing your time with him was fleeting.
“I want to help, I want fight with you.” Tsu’tey tilted your chin up so you would look straight into his serious gaze.
“I need you here safe, we need you safe.” He put his hand carefully on your stomach, caressing the skin as he gave your lips a soft peck.
“What if you get hurt and I can’t help you?” Tsu’tey sighed at your concerns. Shit he had concerns too, but he refused to let up. He was to be brave, he will protect his people and his family.
“I won’t get hurt my love.” The sound of Jake ushering the warriors interrupted sweet moment the both of you were sharing. Both you and Tsu’tey’s ears perked up, your expression falling as you realized it was time. “I must go now. Be safe. Promise?”
You nodded, pressing your foreheads together, leaving a soft kiss on his lips. “Promise.”
It was full blown out war. Explosions erupted in the air and on the ground. You could hear the grunts of dying warriors from miles away. Tsu’tey made sure you were to stay with Mo’at at the tree of souls. He needed to know that you were safe, it gave him peace of mind.
The anxiety brewing in your stomach was growing out of control. Your heart was thumping, ears buzzing. Every moment all you could do was pray that he was safe.
Tsu’tey was soaring in the sky, adrenaline was pulsing through him like a strong current. The wind blew his braids in the air as he had his bow and arrow armed, ready to fire at any moment. The ships were strong, their foreign weapons stronger than any arrow.
But he had agility, he had skill. He would fight for his people so he could live peacefully with you. Maybe that is why he choose to abandon his ikran, jumping onto the open bottom of a demon ship. Slaughtering the sky-people as if they were flies.
He took his bow and arrow, shooting it through the body of one. Only to then use his large bow, as a weapon in itself as he whacked it on top of a pitiful sky-demon, that he flung out of air-craft with a shriek. He heard the click of a gun, ears perking up and fangs baring as he picked up the gun and the man with it, smashing it on the ground.
He couldn’t hear his own thoughts, over-ruled by the thirst for blood and revenge. His bow was like a hammer ploughing through the skulls of the humans in front of him. His eyes were wide, his eye brows furrowed as he continued to pluck each one off the ground, violently throwing them without a single bit of remorse cursing through his body. Another hard hit to a demons face, as they plummeted to the ground revealed a frightened sky-person.
He bared his gun, Tsu’tey felt his heart stop, his mind flicker with fear as he saw it. He used his bow once more hitting the gunman. But it wasn’t enough. Sharp debilitating pain filtrated through his lower body as he stumbled off of the ship.
He couldn’t even hold onto the vessel. He lost balance, his legs turning to jelly as his body slipped. The fall was long, the force of his body falling made the wind sound like it was assaulting him.
The pain was all down his leg, he couldn’t get himself to look as he tried desperately to find some foliage to plummet into. Breaking his fall.
No amount of leaves could make the thump onto the ground any less painful. It felt as if someone had taken a million punches to his entire body. The sticks left light scratches all across him, his face bleeding as a sharp stick had sliced his cheek.
He tried to move from his spot on the ground but he couldn’t. He sat up with an immense struggle. Looking down to see his leg bleeding profusely. It made him sick, as if his stomach would escape him. Three holes were sat in his thigh as he desperately tried to stay conscious. They weren’t fatal, he knew that but his mind was fleeting him as the pain overtook all of his senses.
Every time his leg twitched he would groan in immense pain. He was stuck, he couldn’t go anywhere. He needed help desperately. He needed to see you. Using one arm to prop himself up he pressed onto the mic on his neck.
“Y/N? Y/N can you hear me?” His voice was weak and desperate. It was fleeting every word was met with a hiss of pain.
The second you heard Tsu’tey’s pained voice in your ear you felt as if you were going to hurl. You brought your shaky hand up to your mic. “Yes- yes I can. Where are you?” You were close to hysterics, you needed to know he was safe, and you were certain he wasn’t.
“I am shot. I fell. Yawne- I- I cannot move please-” His words were cut short but you wasted no time. Mo’at looked over at you, her eyes telling you to run. You had no animal to ride, nothing to travel so you sprinted. Only holding a knife in your belt but you needed to find him.
“I’m coming, just hold on. Okay?” You slowed down so you could speak in your mic. Only to take off again. You didn’t know where your feet were taking you but you trusted your instincts. Those instincts that were buzzing from within you. They grew stronger every time the rough pads of your feet hit the ground.
You thought you may have been hearing things because of your stress. But the more you focused on the loud shouting of a Na’vi you realised it was your mate. It was your mate yelling in anguish.
You didn’t think your body could go faster but it could. It was as if your legs were going on their own. His yells turned in hisses and his hisses turned into cries. You weren’t sure what was happening but the image you saw in front of you was one that would never leave you mind again.
Wainfleet, a man you had recognised from your time in the RDA was in his mechanical suit. Holding Tsu’tey above the air from him queue. Dangling him as he cried. Tsu’tey was in unbearable pain, his leg covered in blood as he gripped tightly onto his queue for the slightest amount of relief from the searing pain on the back of his skull.
You were no warrior no fighter, but the aggression that surged through your veins was one you had never felt before. Maybe it was because you were angry at the sky-people, because your Na’vi body created a connection like no other to Tsu’tey, but the love you had for the struggling man in front of you blinded you with rage.
Your body took over itself, running straight towards the manic demon, that delighted in the pain of others. You jumped onto the back of the machine, making a great deal of noise in the progress. On your way up you grabbed a large piece of abandoned metal, large enough to be a Na’vi sized machete. Tsu’tey saw you and your manic looking expression as your body clambered on top of the suit.
Wainfleet dropped Tsu’tey, leaving him to hit the ground abruptly with a loud groan of pain once more. “Y/N! Stop!” Tsu’tey called out for you, but you couldn’t hear him through your clouded mind.
You took the metal from your hands and continued to stab it into the glass shield of the metal junk, shattering it as shards fell into the soldiers faces, toxic gas hissing into his chamber. Once he realised there was another Na’vi on top of him his robotic hands reached up to only smash you back onto the ground with a loud crack. Tsu’tey tried to run back to you but he was stuck, useless as he watched you writhe in pain as Wainfleet came closer to your body.
You hissed as you readjusted, stumbling as you got up. Spots of white in your vision but it didn’t stop you. This man was going to die. And your hands would carry that blood. Wainfleet chuckled as you hissed at him.
He didn’t waste his time, trying to shoot your stumbling body only to realise it was out of bullets. He groaned in annoyance taking a large knife out of the leg of the suit, swinging it with no real direction, as the shattered glass clouded his vision.
Tsu’tey called out for you, begging you to run. But you didn’t all you did was jump away from the blade, your eyes blown with rage as you had jumped onto the top of the suit once again. You took the metal out of the glass, twisting it as the whole shield shattered, crumbling to pieces letting his human body reveal itself to the harsh air of Pandora.
The crazed sky-demon discarded his robotic arm for just a moment to put on his face mask, to let the air back into his system. But you were having none of it. Your arms moved before your brain could even comprehend what you were doing. But the large piece of metal that you had taken out of the glass was now in your hands. It was deadly in your blind-struck rage.
Screaming you plummeted it through his chest, only to rip it out of his body to stab it right back in. Blood was spattering everywhere as you continued to stab into the human, screaming manically as your chest heaved, spitting out the blood that had been caught in your mouth. The force of your assault had almost severed the man in half as the machine collapsed below you. The blood splattered all over you, drenching you in the evidence of your murder.
The machine clanked as it hit the ground. You jumped back onto the ground shaking looking at the mess you created. It was horrific. He barely looked human, his blood drowned him in the suits chamber as you stumbled away.
Tsu’tey was frozen in shock. He had never seen this side of you. A side that was so blood thirsty and vengeful. He saw the way you stared down at your blood soaked hands as you shook. “Yawne” He croaked out trying to get your attention.
You immediately turned to your groaning mate who still couldn’t move. “Tsu’tey!” You scrambled to the ground where he had sat himself up against a rock, still clenching onto his leg as the pain surged through him. “You’re okay, we’ll get you back home soon okay?” Tsu’tey nodded with his eyes clenched shut.
You crouched down to look at his ruptured leg. The blood was no longer pooling out as the wounds were raw and sore. Putting your hands back onto the mic you called for help that you desperately needed.
“Jake, do you read me?”
“What is it?” His voice was gruff, worn out from the fighting.
“I- I need help, Tsu’tey is injured we needed to get him back to Mo’at. I can’t move him.”
“We’re on our way.” You let out a sigh of relief as you looked at Tsu’tey. His pained expression hurt you, but you took his hand in yours.
“You hear that baby? We’re getting you help. You’ll be alright.” Tsu’tey clenched onto your hands as his leg twitched again.
“Are you hurt yawne?” His voice was rough as his eyes studied your bloodied body for any wounds. You shook your head, even though it was a lie. The smash onto the ground you took was causing a resounding amount of pain in your body, but you could handle it.
“I am fine, focus on you. Please.” He nodded as you caressed his knuckles, waiting for help to come. You both sat in silence, the only sounds between the two was a grunt of pain from Tsu’tey followed by your soothing hushes. It lasted awhile until the large gusts of wind, signature to the arrival of Toruk Makto resounded in your ears. “Their here baby.”
Jake and Neytiri rushed over shocked at the state both of you were in. Jake walked closer, shocked to see the gory image of Wainfleet’s body discarded from the mated pair. Seeing his former colleagues drenched in blood he could only assume wasn’t hers was a sight that he never thought he’d see. But he never though he’d see you cradling an injured Tsu’tey either.
Neytiri was immediately tending to Tsu’tey, helping to readjust him so he could be placed onto Toruk. “Ma Jake, help us.” She sneered as he rushed over as they all picked up the warriors body. Tsu’tey cursed loudly clenching onto your hands as the three of you shuffled towards the screeching beast.
With a collective grunt Tsu’tey was placed onto the back of Toruk. He used both of his hands to keep him up, his leg hanging unable to be moved. Jake hopped onto the ikran twisting the reigns around his forearms. “You both should be on the back, hold him up so he does not fall.” You and Neytiri nodded hopping on the back of Toruk’s neck. You held him from the back, your core tight as the large animals started to flap its wings. Neytiri sat herself on the back. Looking towards the both of you, watching closely to make sure neither of your injured bodies fell.
After the flight Tsu’tey was immediately taken to the healers. They worked tirelessly for days to recover him from his injuries.
You were by his side the entire time, holding onto him as he squeezed you in pain as they dug for the bullets in his flesh. Soothing him as the medicines stung and the stitches stabbed. The process was close to unbearable. But you calmed him, he wasn’t sure what he would ever do without you.
Days passed and days turned into weeks as Tsu’tey recovered. He itched to be back to leading, he wanted to stand before his people, but his muscles were weak. Mo’at told him that his recovery would be long. But he was impatient.
His days were filled with bedrest and little limps. He wanted to stride again, to be a hunter. This was no way to be a leader.
Eventually, his limps turned into stumbles and his stumbles turned into steps. Steps that made him feel like a man again, like a leader. He was just upset it took him three agonizingly long months to do so.
But those months were crucial for him. Crucial for him to step up, to help be a better mate, better leader and to become an amazing father….
A couple months later
You were swollen, from head to toe your body ached. You writhed in the soft leaves, hating the thought of waking up to do your tasks. Tsu’tey was cradled next to you, his large hand protectively placed over your large belly.
Tsu’tey had his head nestled in your shoulder. “Good morning my mate.” His voice was still adjusting to the day as his voice vibrated in your ears making them prick up in excitement.
“Morning.” You were tired, the baby had been kicking all night, you barely got any rest only to be woken up by Eywa’s light.
“What is wrong?” He shuffled up, placing his head on his hand as he looked over at you. Growing concerned when you didn’t immediately reply. “Yawne? What is it?”
“This child has not stopped moving.” Tsu’tey couldn’t help but let a smile out as you mentioned his growing family.
“She is excited to meet you, that is all.” Tsu’tey rubbed your belly, giving your temple a soft kiss.
“Sure. Also you must stop talking as if you know it will be a daughter. You should not get your hopes up for one outcome.” You fiddled with his fingers that were on your belly.
He sat up now so he could use his other hand to guide your chin so you would face him. “I am certain this is a girl, I am also certain we will have enough sons. Trust me.”
“Tsu’tey! You’re disgusting!” You gave him a playful shove sitting up to face him. He let out a hearty laugh, his features glimmering in the morning light. You watched as his playful gaze turned into one more sincere, “What are you thinking?”
His heart was full of love. He was so happy that you came to him. That you were kind enough to love him and forgive him. He felt truly blessed. To think the one he called baby-demon was now his mate and was giving him a baby of his own. He felt proud. He was proud of himself for letting himself love you, he was proud of his people for accepting his love and he was so zealously proud of you, the way you protected him, loved him, and cherish him. He would never be able to live a day without you by his side again.
“I love you.” He whispered out, letting his hand cradle your cheek. You smiled into his hand.
“I love you more.”
“lay back mama, I want to try something,” jake whispered as his large hand gently pushed your shoulders down.
obeying his orders, you quickly settling into the soft furs that littered the pods floor. as you stared up at your mate you sent a hasty thanks to Eywa that the kids were all out at a clan celebration.
drinking in the delicious sight of Jake hovering above you with a devilish gleam in his eyes, you were unable to stop the shiver that raced up your spine. you could only hope he had his filthy way with you.
slowly you watched him pull his long braid from over his shoulder, one hand rubbing slow circles upwards to the spot you needed him most. he had been teasing you for what felt like hours, your clit pulsing harshly against the cool evening air.
“ma’jake, please,” you whined, pushing your hips further into his strong hands.
“hold on baby girl, I’m going to make you feel so good, promise sweet girl,” he cooed gently at you, both hands lingering along your waist.
feeling more irritated than relaxed at his words, you glared upwards and opened your mouth to protest when Jake connected the tendrils of his queue right to your aching cunt.
the two of you sucked in a harsh breath before a loud moan penetrated the air, not just anyone’s moan. the loud almost pornographic sound had tumbled out of the mouth of you.
Jake’s eyes lit up with renewed excitement, he never new this little old thing could rip a sound like that out of you. But god he wanted to do it again.
The tendrils moved lazily around your clit, each twitch sending a jolt of electricity straight to your womb. this was good, no this was down right delectable.
jake moved the queue at a quick pace that led your hips to thrust forward to meet it with each movement. The orgasm that had been teased all evening slammed into you, your body shaking from the harsh release.
“fuck yawne, if I knew you would cum this much I would have done this sooner,” jake exclaimed in a strange sort of amazement.
as you came down from your high an idea popped into your head and you were quickly turning the tables on your mate.
“now ma’jake, lay back there’s something I wish to try,” you repeated, smirk adorning your lips.
Right when it occurred, something did not feel right. There is an odd sensation stirring in the hollow of her stomach. It could not be the adrenaline that had taken its course within her body for she had anticipated it, nor could it be the minor, barely visible cuts created by the Sky Demons’ graze of foolish weaponry for while it burned only the slightest bit, it wasn’t extreme enough to draw pools of blood.
Grunts of an odd, internal wound left her yet she, with all her restraint, refused to acknowledge it right then and there and gently patted the side of her ikran for she too felt it, she too felt the distress, the slight yet sudden tear of something, of someone apart from her sole rider. Golden eyes waste no second in searching, mind voicing for her ikran to halt the strong, frenzied flaps of her wings.
She shuts out the sounds of the Sky demon’s flying equipment, the war cries the Na’vi created, and waits. Waits and observes, observes and listens, straining every one of her senses; frantic became her gaze as the feeling within her spiraled, harsh and swishing became Pandora’s winds as it surged through her limbs, aching swirled her heartbeat, lips whispering faint murmurs, longing for the presence, the call of him.
A pair of ears, belonging to the woman who would bound her life to him under the will of Eywa, hitched high and flickered at the agonized screech which sharply pierced through the air, coming from a specific aircraft until it soon began its descent down to Pandora’s ground. She wasted no second in trying to comprehend where, who the cry derived from, and the ears once chirped high faltered for a brief second as she picked it apart while panic, fear, the scorching pain corporeally and spiritually exceeded throughout her as she did.
Wretched. Agonizing. Appalling.
The cry which ripples from deep within Tsu'tey's lungs, clawing through the inward flesh until it reached the base of his throat and had been unleashed, is to be described as those precise words.
“Tsu’tey!”
Actions transpire before thoughts could be formed, her high chirp commanding her ikran to acutely glide down, right towards where the prolonged blue frame plummets down, the harsh ruffles of the branches due to her reckless speed being disregarded despite the gnashes they sliced across her striped flesh.
The churn spasms furthermore from the core of her being; burning, afflicting, and it is when she reaches him, the one bound to be her mate soon, her Tsu’tey lying on the grassed ground, that she is met with the dejected notion weighing upon her.
Despite the physical agony he is currently experiencing, he feels her — his serenity, the compliment to his being, the support and sustainment to his unbalanced character — close by. A palm clasps below his chest piece just to cover, to perhaps hide from her that he is hurt. His innards burn, gnaw, coil with each breath he tries taking. He coughs and despite the burn of it, he calls out to her.
“Y-yawnetu.” ( loved one )
“Ma Tsu’tey –”
Yet she is already rushing to him, descending onto her knees right beside him. She did not know where to begin. Act nearly transpired before thought once more, until she catches the way he holds himself. The pain submerged from not just him but her with each hurried step she had taken, each ragged breath she had taken, and so when her hand reached to touch just over his wounded chest, it became vivid, blistering.
A violent racketting envelops him entirely at the feel, a grunt spewing from his lips and it instantly makes her touch retract from him, hissing more so in distress at the notion of her mate being injured at the hands of them. Not even them, but guided by their coward minds and dastard hearts with what they called a gun.
Her mouth parches, her throat tightening as she tries to speak through her anger and pain. “T-tsap’alute si ( I apologize ). You are hurt, w-we have to get you to–”
His head created the smallest head shakes only for him to wince rather visibly, reaching for her hand. “Stay. T-touch –”
Hesitantly, she did as he said though she notices his discomfort and instead goes to cradle the upper curve of his head, but there’s slight space between for with the bit of strength he carries he uses to keep his head up.
The pressure of her palm rumbles a sound from his chest and she notices how his jaw narrows, how his ear winces. “Hurts?”
“T’s n-nothing. Fine, I’m fine.” He breathes in before his long fingers loosely wrap around her forearm, and his browline tugs down at the dry blood latching, the gnashes littering her skin. He, even in this situation, firmly states rather than questions: “You are hurt. T-they hurt you – did they–”
“I am fine, tiyawn. I am fine – my fault. I was rushing to come to you –”
His sharp eyes blaze and upper lip curls over his teeth as he hisses. “Must be more c-careful! Demons could have…have killed you. M-must think now more than ever —”
“ I will – but I am fine, I promise.” She assures and with her other hand she cradles his jaw, feeling it condense before trying to get him to calm down for she sees how agitated he became.
“Syeha si ( breathe ), Tsu’tey. Tsyeha si.” He exhales then tries to inhale only for the passage of his throat to obstruct with a gush of something; iron tang distastefully becoming one with his taste buds, the sudden swarm of liquid causing a choke-like sound to form at the back of his throat. Fearful, she wastes no time in moving the current hand on his head to the upper backside of his neck to slightly elevate him despite his strained protest.
“I— fine. I am fine–”
Her other hand leaves Tsu’tey’s cheek and goes to the base of her throat, right over the beaded necklace crafted by his very hands, the very blood stained hands that tear from his wound and reach for hers to stop her from acting. “ You are not fine! You are wounded, for Eywa’s sake! We must call for help—”
She watches how Tsu’tey tries to resist crumbling his features when her fingers brush up his neck, halting just right below the start of his kuru. He watches in anguish as the irises within her golden hues dilate, nearly becoming one with the other. She feels it undone, the braid, and with it undone, it is unprotected yet for whatever cause would it be? He feels the ghost of her touch over its bareness lurk down, and he grunts loudly as he shifts to stop her. “Ma yawnetu, please–”
But now the simple act of doing so becomes toilsome and painful, provoking an excruciating groan out of him and she’s haste in halting him from creating any more movement. “Ftang (stop).”
Tsu’tey is apprehensive, forming the weakest scowl as she gives him a pointed look. Perhaps it was because Tsu’tey was in her presence – the woman who succeeded to take his stoic mask off, to soothe the scowl constantly twisting his face. It was then that she found herself seeing him better then he saw himself – who he truly was, is, and bound to become. To her it was a must to be by his side, and to him it was an odd yet yearning-to-the-bone necessity to have her with him, to see her the way she sees him.
So with that, he releases a ragged breath but lets her and she resumes her act — not near enough to make contact with it, but near enough for him to feel it hovering. Enough for him to choke on a gasp and clutch onto her forearm when she reached the end which rested right by his side.
She too feels the sensation of it, of what he’s feeling in this second, of what he’s been feeling when he met the ground. She feels him, the one who's supposed to be her mate, experiencing the most indescribable pain there is for the Na’vi: the only true connection to the wonders within Pandora, to their Great Mother being torn off. To the one bound to be their mate for eternity.
The notion crashes down on her stronger, becoming sole with the ache stirring within. She says nothing for a long time and tries pushing through the muskiness enveloping her vision, wanting to take him in; colorants of yellow and ebony streaked boldly on the sides of his scalp, and she recalls being the one putting them there, she recalls how all the tension and worries seemed to have faded away from Tsu’tey when the lovely strokes of her paint-dipped fingertips specifically striped upon certain parts of his angular features as well, somewhat enhancing them and his azure tones – yet now the color scheme was assisted by blemishes and smudges of red, and the fierceness he once carried before this battle occurred vanished. This is an entirely different Tsu’tey that no other has ever witnessed — and if it weren’t for one of the reasons being that he was too damaged, too hurt and strained, she would have smiled softly down at him and bathe him in all the love and happiness there was within her because of him — one even she hasn’t witnessed — the closest ever being was when Sylwanin passed.
“Let me take you to Tsahik. You are Olo’eyktan. I-important and must stay alive, let me call for help so we can take you back –”
“I am far too injured for Tsahik to fix this. There is a battle happening at this moment, woman. We cannot let this interfere. They all need to fight for our People. Our home.” he grunts , nose scrunching at the raise of his tone. “And a demon weapon striked me…sa’nok died from it. Even if we try, it will be too late—”
“Toruk Makto will know what to do.” she quickly interjects. “He was one of them, h-he will save us. Will save you, ma Tsu’tey. He will not leave the People without their Olo’eyktan. H-he —”
“Then he will be the one to lead the People.”
He can’t fight the subtle twitch of his lip at how her ears perch at this, and she frowns deeply, just like he expected her too. She didn’t dislike Jakesully while she was wary of him at the beginning. Yet he earned trust, a rightful place among the Omaticaya. Even so, that place was not, isn’t, what Tsu’tey is suggesting.
“But he…y-you are Olo’eyktan. Our guidance, our leader.” she takes in a sharp breath and blinks rapidly as he stares up at her. “You…you are to b-be my mate. And I yours, yes?”
Purple splotched with the ebony striped beneath Tsu’tey’s eyes, pronouncing the anguish and disappointment lodged within his pupils, weighing down upon him. His lower lip quivers when he grabs his ruptured queue, and it takes everything in him to not yell.
He speaks through sputtered syllables. “I…I c-cannot ride again. Cannot be guided with the voice o-of Eywa. C-cannot lead the People and be strong Olo’eyktan because of this –”
The smallest whimper he made causes her to hold back her own, ears catching onto the way his breath hitched. He releases his hold on his queue and lets it falls back to his chest in order to apply pressure to evict the constant drain of blood even though at this point it is inevitable. His other hand tries to grasp onto something, anything to sustain himself. She is quick to grab it, guiding it towards her, right above the part he painted over — fingers dipped in turquoise-colored paint at the beginning yet now taints with the boldness of crimson, the length of his fingers curling from the curve of her shoulder while his palm had pressed above the front of her chest right near her heartbeat, the closest thing he was to ever feeling.
He finds grounding, he finds the guidance of her heartbeat, of her touch but it isn’t nor will it ever be like how it’s supposed to. Inhaling through flared nostrils, as if preparing to say the words he wished so desperately to not be true, he utters the words that unfortunately confirmed her very thoughts:
“But overall…I-I will not be able to form tsaheylu with you, yawnetu. You will not have a true mate. A-and I will no be able to feel you…to truly have you under the will of our Great Mother.”
It was effortless to push away the wretched feeling ripping inside of her — but stubbornness is almost as if it is one with her. Something Tsu’tey both adored and despised at times – and in this case, he isn’t exactly certain which he feels right now.
A sob heaves from her chest, feeling so utterly pathetic when tears continue welling in her eyes. “K-kehe ( no ). You have always had me — no matter tsaheylu. You’ve felt, known and seen me, ma Tsu’tey. I feel, know and see you then and now. Please let me continue — let us go—”
“Oeru yawne ( my love )…” The expanse of his palm slides up to her neck, gently enveloping her drenched cheek and weakly frowns at how he’s grimming her beautiful face with his own blood. It is too much; the raw truth of it all, the rasped breath of his tender words, the quivers of his palm due to his pain, tears cascading from her eyes and coating her cheeks, him giving the mantle to someone else and accepting it, the sinking fact that the first and only thing she can and will ever solely, truly feel from Tsu’tey, the man who she’s chosen to be with for the rest of her life as he has chosen her with no hesitation, was him hurting, him processing it with the same pace as she is.
He says nothing for a second, simply letting himself scrutinize and adore her and gather his words. “It is worse to go through this life without purpose than to die. A-a feel without you, oeyä yawne, has no purpose.”
“And a life without you has no purpose!” Her voice grows harsher, words broken. “Is that what you want to do to me, hm? Leave me with no purpose?”
“You will have the People—”
“It isn’t the same! A-and so will you if you choose to see the light of this—”
“Ma Y/N.” It isn’t firm, his tone when saying her name. But it is enough for her to stay quiet, ears flattening at the sides of her head.
“Me…just being me will not suffice for the People. And while I am more than happy to know that it is sufficient for you… it is not for me.” The octave of his voice is tremulous, barely audible to ears as he peers up at her. “Not when knowing I cannot satisfy those around me — it will not be enough from my part…for them. For you. Especially with everything you have given me.” He gives her one of his truest smiles despite the red that now streams out the corners, coughing afterwards.
The pad of her thumb swats the blood away, knowing what he was doing with his words. She badly wants to frown at him, to tell him it is not the time to be smiling but she can’t help the pure allure she has to his lovely expression. She can’t help herself from tilting her head and questioning, “What have I given to you?”
“Patience. Peace.” His eyes close a second as he sighs. “Even through grief, through loss and chaos, you chose me. It is as you say; you’ve felt and have known and seen me. While my mind was to be dutiful to the People…my heart was purposeful to you.”
Nuzzling into her touch, he breathes out, “and now I accept this — because I’m in the presence of you. It is…a bit more peaceful.”
“Y-you skxawng.” she chokes out for she doesn’t know what to say and instead lets her forehead shadow over his as he chuckles. But he feels it, feels what’s channeling from her mind, heart, soul, and it’s enough to bring him much more tranquil.
The bleeding from his chest does not stop, but at this point he doesn’t care anymore. Instead, he removes his hand from the spot and loosely curls around the hand that has not left its spot from his cheek. Fingers tenderly knead the flesh of her wrist while the other still cups her face, thumb stroking the apple of her cheek. Eyes taking her in, the sensations she now only faintly ignites within him, and he groans lowly at how those blazing, loving emotions clash with the shock that is coming together. The reality, the acceptance of not being the one to guide the People, of not giving her the future she truly deserves, the acceptance of it all.
She doesn’t want to accept it however. Not now, not yet. So all she can do is nod, swallowing through the lump within her throat and let’s herself softly touch him; the fading specks across his nose, the beautiful markings of his forehead, the sharpness of his cheeks, the quiver of his lip as he inhales curtly, eyes closing for a solid moment. It is ridiculously unbearable now, pain pulsating in sharp waves through his body.
“Hurts?” She tries evading her gaze from the red spiraling down his blue skin, from his severed kuru. He shakes his head and lets his hold press a bit more against her. “No more…fine. I’m fine.” he gently coaxes his lie with a subtle twitch of his mouth, wanting to reprieve her from feeling any more anguish for him.
“That — that is good.” she returns his expression, professing her own belief in his words to spare him his strength in trying to console her. But how he slightly hears it in the way her breathing becomes frantic when his own starts to falter. The extent of his wounds are as he said; too great and severe for Tsahik to cure, and the heart's wrenching notion that he’s near his end slowly starts to seep past her obstinacy.
Faint cries of what seemed to be cheers chime through the sky, and he can’t resist the sigh of relief that emerges. “That is a good sign. Very good.”
She nods but doesn’t tear her attention from him. She watches how his bright orbs shift beneath his shut eyelids. When they come to view again, there is slight agitation. More ache accompanied by sorrow, all of it spreading from the core of his being. “Yawnetu.”
Her tail lashes in fret. “I am here, Tsu’tey — what is wrong?”
“C-call to them…it is almost time.” His words stammer violently, grasping much more onto her when he gasps. Her coils furiously shake across her shoulders, nose scrunching, lower lip trembling when she sobs. “not yet…n-no not yet. I cannot lose you! P-please—”
“My stubborn girl,” he grunts quietly when his red stained mouth manage to smile. “You will never lose me. I…I am more than certain we will see one another again. But now the People, Toruk Makto must know he is to lead them. And I need you to help me let him know.”
She desperately nestles her cheek against his hand for a moment, sniffles and nods before craning her neck forward and placing a light kiss over his forehead. “W-whatever you wish, tiyawn.”
She does what she is told while he listens, the voice of Jakesully being heard, wasting no second in confirming he is on his way with the others.
Feathered kisses are met with his temple now and across his forehead, his eyelids, his nose, his cheeks — but lastly his lips. Not caring for the blood tainting them, only for the sensation they soothe her soul with, she gives him one last broken kiss.
She focuses entirely on Tsu’tey, respite emerging deep from within his lungs while desperately trying to give him one of her breaths as if it’ll spare him, tender fingertips grasping his face in an anguish manner as he too tries meeting her halfway.
The hand on her cheek goes back to her shoulder, gently pulling her closer. Her thumbs brush down his cheeks, outlining the structure of his jawline. “I feel you. I see you, oeyä Tsu’tey.”
The tip of his nose nudges her when his forehead finds its place over hers. “I feel you. I…I see you, oeyä Y/N.”
Those are the words he finds himself mouthing to her one last time, the only pair of brilliant, loving tearful eyes that he sees, the last swarm of peace that wavers with Toruk Makto’s shadow as it envelops his dying body.
Way of the life (Tsu’tey x reader)
Masterlist
Part 1 Part 2
Description: Your life with Tsu’tey was everything you could have wished for - but there were still conflicts and fights. It couldn’t always be perfect, but as long as your family would stick together in the end, you would be fine.
For context this is how old the children are in this part:
Tsey’tan - 19 (same as Neteyam)
Tetsun - 17 (same as Lo’ak and Kiri)
Zìtei and Zuaìu - 15
Tiranay - 9 (same as Tuk)
Warnings: smut, p in v, fingering, oral, talk about cum, lots of cum, breeding kink
6962 words
Tsu’tey was always hard on his sons, he wanted them to become great warriors and protectors of their clan. You knew he loved them, he loved them so much, and you knew he just wasn’t a gentle and soft man. Only on rare occasions (or just for you). But sometimes you thought he forgot he was also their father, and not only their superior, he wasnt solely responsible for shaping them into warriors - being a father was more than that.
You always helped him find the balance, the way you did things together as parents worked out for your family. But this time, it escalated. Your second oldest had wandered into the forest, you knew why - he had a crush on a Na’vi girl and he told you the day before he wanted to find the crystals she loved to use for her necklaces. What he didn’t notice was that his little sister followed him. And when he noticed he was already too far to turn back, so he just took her with him.
It wasn’t his fault, he couldn’t have known that the one second she wandered into the trees while he was bending down, a stray viperwolf would jump her. He immediately heard her scream and killed the creature, but she was bleeding profusely from her right arm and she was crying - of course she was, she was still so young, she must’ve been so scared. Your poor little girl, even now that she was back in the safety of her family’s home, her arm bandaged and her tears dried, she clung to you, refusing to be set down.
You were just glad they were both safe, it was an accident and you would never be angry at Tetsun for that. Your mate however saw that entirely different, he had been scolding your son for the past minutes, he was furious. Your son was standing there, shoulders hunched and ears turned down, trying to be strong while his slightly taller father yelled at him. Eywa, he was still child too. His brothers were standing nearby, looking as if they were getting scolded too, they understood how it was to be the one who was the target, they had caused enough trouble to have been at the receiving end of their fathers anger too.
„I can’t believe you are this irresponsible! Taking your little sister into the forest like that, and then not even properly watching over her and protecting her! She could have been dead! Do you hear me? Look at her arm, this is your fault!“, your mate was raging, and you tried to intervene, he was overstepping. You knew he was strict, you accepted it, but he was blowing this out of proportion. „I think he understands, can we please just-”, but he didn’t even seem to hear you. Your daughter was starting to cry again, you knew she didn’t want he big brother to get in trouble - she would also never blame him.
„I want you to go and think about what you have done, you’ve brought shame to this family and-”, that was enough, you loved Tsu’tey, but he was wrong to say that to your son. You could see Tetsuns eyes glossing over. „THAT‘S ENOUGH TSU‘TEY!“, you had to raise your voice quite a bit to be heard, and the effect was immediately, it was so silent you could’ve heard a pin drop. You were scowling at your mate, for the first time really angry with him for making your son feel like this.
Tsu’tey was shocked to say the least. You were so gentle and soft, you had never raised your voice like this before, especially not at him. His sons were all frozen, and he turned around to you, the angry look on your face making him shrink a little. He hated that you were angry at him, all his anger and frustration about his injured daughter immediately vanishing, leaving a bitter feeling behind.
„I’m sorry sempul“, you heard Tetsuns voice from behind your mate (who you were still glaring at), he was trying to be strong, but his voice cracked a little, making your heart break for him. Even if Tsu’tey didn’t mean it, what was said, was said and he couldn’t take it back. Your mate didn’t react, still looking at you, and your second oldest took off through the entrance to his left, snapping you out of your stupor. You had to practice damage control right now, you would deal with everything else later. (Father)
„Tsey’tan“, you called upon your oldest and he immediately stepped next to you, looking down at you expectantly. „Take your sister“, you gently told him, transferring the still slightly shaking girl into her brothers arms. When she was clinging to him instead of you, you took off after your second oldest without another look back, eventhough you could feel your mate was distraught too - maybe this would teach him something.
Your son was fast, of course he was he’s one of the best warriors of the clan, just like his brothers. But you knew exactly where he would go. You and Tsu’tey had once built something equivalent to a tree house a little further into the forest when the children were still younger. You knew they still came here sometimes, especially when they wanted to be alone.
And you were right, when you had climbed the tree to the hammock-like hut, Tetsun was sitting at the edge, his legs swinging back and forth slightly. You were sure he heard you coming, but he didn’t react until you sat next to him. Then he wiped his cheeks with the back of his hand, he was crying and your heart ached even more at the pain your son was in.
„I’m sorry sa‘nok“, he whispered and you just shook your head, pulling the slight taller boy into your arms. „My love you don’t have to be sorry, this is nobody’s fault, it was an accident“, your son was sinking into your arms, placing his head on your lap and you could feel a few tears hit your legs, „no matter what your father says.“ You were stroking his braids, no matter how old your children got, they would always be exactly that - your children.
„I should have turned around when I noticed Tiranay, I should have protected her better, Dad is right I have brought shame to our family“, you could hear his voice choke up, and you sighed at the damage his fathers words had left. „Look at me ma‘itan“, you softly but firmly turned his head so he would look at you, „you are anything but. You are a strong warrior, a great older brother and you make me so proud as a mother to have a son like you. This wasn’t your fault. You are not a shame.“ You emphasized the last sentences, his tears starting to subside.
He sat up again, wiping his tears away. „I’m sorry for being such a baby“, he was clearly upset about being so vulnerable. „You should never be sorry for showing emotions, you don’t always have to be the strong fighter. Even your father isn’t all the time“, you smiled and he looked incredulously. „He has his reasons for being the way he is“, you started to explain, you felt he deserved an explanation even if Tsu’tey didn’t really bother (or particularly liked) to talk about his past. Your son looked at you with avid interest, his father had told him lots of battle and war stories but nothing beyond that.
„You know your father was once raised to become the next Olo’eyktan. When my brother and me weren’t even on this planet yet, he was already promised to mate with Neytiris sister - Sylwanin. They were great friends, they were the same age and grew up together in expectancy to mate one day. Your father told me, it was a different kind of love than he felt for me, friendship was their foremost emotion. But he lost her, sky people came and she was killed. And then he was promised to mate with Neytiri, a worthy next Tsahìk. They were also friends, but he was slightly older and they weren’t as close as he was with her sister. And she fell in love with my brother. This didn’t particularly hurt his feelings, I’m sure his pride was slightly wounded, but we were already starting to fall in love by then. And then the Great War came, hometree was destroyed, everything they’ve ever known was gone and he lost many, many of his fellow warriors and friends.“, you tried to convey what his father went through on his life.
„He has lost so much in his life“, your eyes met your sons and he looked saddened by what he learned about his father, „and he is absolutely terrified of losing you or your siblings. That is no excuse for what he said tonight, but you know how he is, he isn’t the best to show you he loves you and that he was worried, so he scolds you.“ Your son sighs, breaking the eye contact and you pushed one of his braids back behind his ear.
„You are so loved okay? Please never forget that“, you smiled when he laid his head onto your shoulder, reminding you of how he would search for comfort in your arms when he was little. You sat there for a few moments, when you felt the woven floor underneath you move slightly. Your son went rigid, and you turned around to see your mate standing at the other side of the hammock. He looked incredibly guilty, and you were glad he came to talk to your son. You could talk all you want, ultimately he needed to hear this from his father.
You encouragingly squeezed Tetsuns hand, carefully getting up to leave them be. You stopped infront of your mate, his eyes hurt and ashamed. „I’m sorry yawne“, he whispered, and you had honestly never seen him so broken. „Just make this right“, you sighed, still a little mad, but already forgiving him in you heart. You squeezed his hand before leaving them to sort this out.
————————
Your oldest son was still out with his friends, his siblings already sleeping and Tetsun and Tsu’tey hadn’t come back yet. You had taken one of the books you recently borrowed from Norm and used the time for yourself to read in the hammock above your hut. You were tucked away in the right corner of the woven platform, when you heard two people climb up towards your home. You really hoped everything was alright again.
Tsu’tey regretted saying what he said as soon as it left his mouth, and he was glad he could make it right with his son. He knew it was an accident, he was just so incredibly scared for his two children that he exploded and let it out in the wrong way. And you being angry and disappointed in him made his heart sink even further, he couldn’t get the picture of your scolding face out of his head - Tiranay crying in your arms because of the conflict only deepening the frown he was wearing. He knew he had to make this right with you too.
„Good night son“, you could barely hear it from your position up in the trees, a soft smile lighting up your face, glad that your family seemed to have worked through this. You couldn’t hear Tetsuns response, but what you could hear was your mate making his way upwards, towards you. You out your book to the side, sitting up a little when he jumped on the floor and knelt infront of you. He still looked really guilty, his usual scowl on his face.
„Ma tìyawn“, his rough voice laced with so many emotions immediately softened your heart. He already made things right with your son, how could you keep being angry with him, it wasn’t in your nature. You let out little sigh, shuffling to the side and lifting up the thin blanket you were sitting under, so that he could join you. „Come here“, you smiled at him and you could see the tension ease when he realized you weren’t angry.
He sat down next to you, pulling you into his arms and covering you both with the blanket, his cheek on your head and your hands on his chest. „I’m so sorry“, he whispered, „I should have never said that.“ You hummed, comfortable in his strong arms. „Did you make things right with Tetsun?“, you quietly questioned, the fingers that were drawing circles on your back distracting you. „I did, he forgave me, but can you forgive me too?“, he still seemed a little anxious, and you pressed a soft kiss to his collarbone.
„Of course I do, I could never stay mad at you. And I’m sorry for raising my voice at you“, you pulled back a bit so you could look into his face, his scowl was gone and he looked tired. It had been a long and eventful day after all. „Don’t be. You were right to do so, even if I hate it when we fight“, he closed his eyes with a deep sigh, his tail wandering towards yours under the blanket, the appendages wrapping themselves around oneanother.
Now that he was forgiven, by his son and his mate, he was unbelievably comfortable laying there. His mate tugged into him in a tight embrace, safe by his side, and his children sleeping below, he was glad this day turned out so positive in the end. He opened his eyes again, your big, soft ones already watching him. Instead of talking more, he leaned down and captured your lips in a gentle kiss.
————————
You were so, so screwed. You promised your mate not to wander into the forest on your own, but you really needed some torìtu leaves. You ran out of them a few days ago, and you almost always use them on scrape wounds your children have. You thought about asking Tsu’tey to accompany you into the forest, but he was so stressed lately - Zìtei and Zuaìu almost ready to complete their iknimaya - and the plants were found in a generally safe environment.
The location wasn’t dangerous at all - you were right about that - but your clumsiness wasn’t bound to one place. So when a few Syakayuks swung by you were startled and stupidly twisted your ankle, so that you were sitting in the soft moss now, not being able to stand back up. How were you supposed to get back? No one knew you were there, and even if it wasn’t that far from the village you couldn’t crawl all the way could you now. (The ‚monkeys‘ we see in the first movie)
So you sat there in your misery, your ankle slightly swollen and in pain, and waited until your family would notice you weren’t coming back to your home and come searching for you. Damn, you felt pathetic. You had just set sight on a large dead branch on the other side of the clearing you could maybe use as a crutch, when someone broke through the treeline. „Neteyam!“, you called out for your nephew and he whipped around in your direction.
„(Y/N)? What are you doing here?“, he came over to you in confusion and you were so relieved he came by here. „I was collecting torìtu leaves and twisted my ankle“, you sighed and pointed to your swollen foot, „would you mind helping me back to the village?“ „Yes, of course!“, your ever so dutiful nephew hauled you up in his arms before you could protest and you squeaked slightly. „Sorry, sorry“, he grinned and started to walk, you were clutching onto your bag in fear of losing it. You realized he really wasn’t a child anymore, just like your own oldest son, they would probably soon pick mates of their own and start their own families. You swore it was just yesterday that you were cuddling Tsey’tan and Neteyam, while your mate was training and Jake and Neytiri were out.
You talked about his day, he was on his way to meet his brother by the waterfall when he stumbled upon you, and soon you reached the village. „Dad!“, Neteyam called for his father - and your brother - who was standing nearby talking to one of the elders. When he saw you two, he excused himself and made his way to you with a concerned look. Great, as if your own mate wouldn’t go overprotective over this, your brother had to witness it too.
„What happened?“, he scanned your form, and you rolled your eyes. „It’s not that bad, just twisted my ankle“, you calmed him down, but he was still frowning. Only your nephew seemed to find amusement in not being the one on the receiving end of his dads worry. „Give her to me, I’ll bring her to Mo‘at“, Jake took you out of Neteyams arms, „and then go tell Tsu’tey to meet me in the tsahìks tent, you can go to your brother after that.“ „What? No, we don’t need to tell-”, but Neteyam was already gone before you could convince anyone not to tell your mate.
„Do you really think I’m inciting Tsu’teys wrath when he finds out we didn’t tell him? He would find out anyways“, your brother chuckled and you hit his chest, making him give you a (fake) offended look. You two entered Mo‘ats tent, she seemed busy with grinding a paste but looked up right as you came in. „Put her down there“, she instructed the Olo’eyktan and he placed you onto the cot she pointed to.
Tsu’tey had been wondering where you were, you were always waiting for your children (and for him) at home. Tiranay was out with her two oldest brothers and the twins had come back with him. But you weren’t there. „Where is Mom?“, Zuaìu was just as confused as his father. „I’ll look in the hammock“, Zìtei was climbing upwards and downwards in record time, but he just shook his head when he came back down, „she’s not up there either.“
Before they could think about looking for you, Neteyam barged into the hut and Tsu’tey got a really bad feeling in his gut. „What is it Neteyam?“, Zuaìu asked his cousin with furrowed brows. „Dad sent me to tell you that your mother twisted her ankle“, his breath was slightly faster than normal, and when Tsu’tey heard you were hurt, he stepped towards his nephew, towering over the future clan leader.
„Where is she?“, he didn’t mean to, but he looked terrifying to Neteyam, not being able to control his facial expressions. „With Mo‘at“, and with that Tsu’tey was off, the twins on his heels. „Thanks Neteyam!“, Zìtei called over his shoulder, not wanting to lose track of his father.
Mo‘at had just finished bandaging up your ankle (a paste to bring down the swelling already on it) when Tsu’tey and the twins came in. Your brother discreetly slipped out of the tent at the angered look on your mates face, you rolled your eyes at that. The coward. „It’s just a sprained ankle, no need for panic please“, Mo‘at rolled her eyes at your mates obvious protective behaviour, not looking up from your foot though. You smiled at your twins an beckoned them over when the tsahìk got up. „Are you alright sa‘nok?“, Zìtei asked, both of them kneeling next to the cot you were sitting on. You tried to delay meeting your mates gaze, you didn’t want your sons witnessing his anger. You could feel he was still holding it in.
„I’m alright don’t worry.“, you stroked their hair softly, „can you fetch your brothers and sister and go to dinner? We will be with you in a little while.“ They nodded, each pressing a kiss to your cheek before leaving the tent. „I will go to dinner too“, Mo‘at excused herself and the moment she was gone, Tsu’tey was next to you on the cot and you finally met his furious eyes.
„How did this happen?“, he still didn’t know you went into the forest against his wishes, but you saw no point in lying. „I needed more torítu leaves“, you started and he immediately growled. „You went into the forest?“, he barked, his fists clenching so hard his knuckles were turning light blue. „I’m sorry, I know I should have told you, but I’m alright am I not? Neteyam found me after a while“, you squeezed his biceps softly, but his eyes were still as hard as ever.
„So you just sat there in the forest near eclipse, not being able to get up, defenseless. What would’ve happened if so much as viperwolf stumbled over you?“, he got up from next to you, towering over your small form and you shrank back. „You promised me you wouldn’t go into the forest alone!“, he was basically shouting now, only keeping his voice down because of how thin the walls were.
You knew he would be angry, but your mate being so furious brought tears to your eyes. You tried to blink them away, not wanting to make even more of a scene as this already was, but he saw them, and the tension in his body fell away. „I don’t- Please yawne I-”, he couldn’t find the words, but he knew he needed to comfort you first anyway, sinking down again and carefully pulling you into his arms. You took a shaky breath, your tears not spilling after all, and clung onto his big hands for comfort.
„I’m sorry I went into the forest, I just didn’t want to bother you“, you were so quiet, and he felt so guilty for exploding on you like that. He was getting really good at controlling his protective side most of the time, but now and then the fear of losing you overwhelmed him. „I’m sorry I yelled, I just can’t help but think about the horrible things that could have happened to you, and that I wouldn’t have been able to save you“, his forehead was pressed against your temple, his lips ghosting over your cheekbone.
„I won’t do it again“, you sighed, turning your head and gently kissing him. He hummed and pulled you back in when you tried to shuffle back slightly, a smile spreading over your face. „Does it hurt?“, he asked after he finally let go of your lips, his hands stroking your waist. „Only when I try to stand on it, Mo’at said I should be fine in two weeks“, you layed your head on his shoulder, his closeness soothing you after the fight you just had.
„I won’t leave your side for the next two weeks then“, he pushed your hair behind your ear, and you giggled. „We’ll see about that“, you interlaced your fingers with his, „let’s go to dinner for now, our children are waiting.“ He grunted and you took that as agreement.
—————————
Today had been one of the rare days you had the time to visit Norm in the scientist camp. You saw him in the village at least once a week, but your visits to the human encampment were rare. Having five children does that to you. He was so excited to show you his newest discovery, a flower that was growing in the caves in the hallelujah mountains. He didn’t know that much about it yet, but he told you the bioluminescent essence seemed to be something like a natural super glue. Additionally you used the opportunity to exchange some of your borrowed books for a few new ones, you had already filled your bag with your favorite copies.
„I can’t believe the twins passed their iknimaya already, I feel like it was yesterday that I was teasing you about your crush on Tsu’tey“, Norm laughed, you two had strayed from the scientific topics to your lives. „Shut up!“, you laughed with him, kneeling on the floor next to the human because of your size, „but you’re right, it’s crazy to think we went from going to university together, to living on a foreign planet isn’t it?“ „Especially you, snatching up the toughest warrior and a having a family“, he jokingly punched your arm and you acted wounded.
Suddenly you heard commotion coming from the main part of the complex, you and Norm exchanging worried looks. „Where is she?“, as soon as you heard the voice, you rolled your eyes. Norm on the other hand was getting nervous, no matter how many times he met your mate, Tsu’tey always intimidated the human - even in his Na‘vi form. „I’m here!“, you called out, not wanting him to make scene. You wondered why he was here, but when you looked outside, you noticed it was dark already. Uh oh. „We forgot the time, didn’t we?“, Norm seemed to have read your thoughts, and you were already bracing yourself for an annoyed Tsu’tey.
He crouched into the room through the doorframe, and as anticipated he was scowling. „I‘m sorry, I totally forgot the time ma Tsu’tey“, you smiled soothingly, but he scoffed, eyeing the human next to you in disdain. You didn’t know why he seemed to dislike Norm, but he generally didn’t like any males that were near you so maybe that was it. „See you next week at the feast, right?“, you squeezed your friends shoulder as a goodbye, knowing Tsu’tey wouldn’t be happy if you hugged him right now.
Norm was nodding frantically, the longer your mate stared at him with those fear inducing eyes, the more nervous he became. You got up, waving and stepping next to your mate. Tsu’tey wrapped his tail around your thigh and his arm around your waist, making sure everyone knew you were his. You left it uncommented and led him out of the science complex, all the other humans had already moved to different rooms, they were all pretty terrified of your mate. When you were back in the forest, the bioluminescence providing some light and the science camp out of sight, you stopped.
He was too quiet, something was bothering him. „What is it my love?“, your hand were gripping his biceps gently, both of his arms encircling your waist now. „I don’t like you being away from me for so long“, he growled, scowl on his face and grip on you tightening, „especially not when you spent the time with that tawtute instead.“ You couldn’t suppress your smile. „Are you really jealous of Norm?“, your thumbs were stroking his skin, his muscles flexing underneath, tail on your thigh moving slightly.
„He makes you laugh, and you have so much to talk about“, you were surprised he was honestly bothered by this, he almost seemed a little insecure. „Tsu’tey look at me“, your hands softly gripped his jaw and his eyes hesitantly met yours. „Norm is a good friend, but he will always be just that - a friend. It is you who I see, who I love, who I belong to“, you were looking up at him through your lashes, and his eyes widened slightly, before they became heated.
„I know you belong to me, I would never let you go don’t worry yawne. It still bothers me“, he scoffed, „Maybe I need to remind you a little that you do belong to me.“ He smirked and you blushed, your tweng growing moist immediately, it had been too long since he touched you. „Mhm seems like you would like that, maybe we can sneak away later tonight“, he grinned and gave you a promising kiss.
Turned out he wouldn’t get a chance to fulfill his promise that night. Your daughter was crying when she came home with Tsey’tan, she had a fight with Tuk and only was able to fall asleep in your arms. „Tomorrow?“, you apologetically smiled at your mate, and he just took you both into his arms. „Sure tìyawn“, he kissed your temple and you fell asleep like that.
It was the next afternoon, your sons were out with the hunting party (their father had stayed behind for obvious reasons) and your daughter was playing with Tuk, whom she had made up with. Tsu’tey was currently unlacing your top, his lips peppering kisses down your neck. „Eywa, it has been too long since I came inside your tight little pussy“, he groaned and his teeth left little marks all over your breasts, but when his hand slipped down into your loincloth, you were interrupted.
„Sa’nok, sempul! Come quick Zìtei has been injured!“, you winced in shock, quickly putting your breast cover back on and the tall warrior above you groaned in frustration. „Why did that skxawng needed to get hurt right now“, he rolled off of you with a grunt and you lightly slapped his shoulder, sitting up. „Don’t say that! Come on, we will find time eventually“, Tsu’tey scoffed unhappily, but followed you down the tree to where your eldest son had called from.
The last three days had been so busy, you and Tsu’tey had no chance at sneaking of together at all. Your mate was growing seriously frustrated, and you were getting needier too. You had never gone this long without having sex, and you really missed having him so close. But today it seemed like you had a free morning, your sons had taken your daughter to the waterfalls and you and Tsu’tey wanted to sneak of to the hammock he built for you a little away from the village, so this time nobody could interrupt you.
He had his strong arm around your waist and his tails around your thigh, pulling you with him hastily, his impatience making you laugh. „What, you think this is funny?“, he scowled at you, but the mischievous glance in his eyes told you he wasn’t really mad. „I just like seeing you so needy“, you giggled and softly kissed his shoulder. „Trust me, this ‚neediness‘ means you’re really in for it ma mate“, he growled in your ear, making them twitch, your tail swishing behind you in anticipation.
You almost made it into the treeline when your brothers voice interrupted you. „(Y/N)!“, Jake called out for you, a relieved look on his face when he saw you. Tsu’tey went rigid next to you, he couldn’t believe you were interrupted again! He had a hard-on for the last few days, every time he saw you he could only think about bending you over and taking what’s his, but you kept getting disturbed!
„What is it Jake?“, you smiled up at him when he came to a stop next to you two. Eventhough you were probably just as needy as your mate, you could never be rude to anyone because of it. „Mo’at is busy, and Tuk stepped into something slightly poisonous, Neytiri doesn’t know what to do, can you please take a look?“, he hesitated for a moment to ask you, your mate glaring at him with a frown on his face.
„Of course“, you nodded for him to lead the way, kissing Tsu’tey goodbye with a guilty look on your face. „I’m so sorry ma Tsu’tey“, you whispered so your brother couldn’t hear, and with a deep sigh the frown melted off his face. „It’s alright, go help Tuk, that’s more important“, he pushed you to follow the Olo’eyktan slightly, watching your ass sway when you turned around and left. He couldn’t take this much longer.
He would finally, finally get to be alone with you this night. He had instructed Tsey’tan to take charge for the evening, and swept you away to fuck you in your hammock in the forest. „No one will stop me tonight yawne, trust me“, he held you so tight and his voice was so possessive, your loincloth immediately started to get soaked with your slick. But again, right as you were about to break the treeline, a voice stopped you. „Hey (Y/N)!“, it was Norm, the poor scientist having no idea what kind of frustration was bubbling under the skin of the tall Na’vi next to you. Even in his Avatar, Norm was dwarfed by your mate.
„Hey Norm“, you greeted him, Tsu’tey next to you huffing impatiently. „I’m so glad I caught you! I need to show you this new plant I found! Me and max went to-”, your friend was interrupted by a rough grunt. Norm winced, seemingly only now noticing the angry male beside you - once he was engulfed in his research he didn’t notice what was going on around him much. „You can do that tomorrow, sky demon“, Tsu’tey had enough of the constant interruptions, he hoisted you up over his shoulders, a surprised gasp leaving you and your friend was left standing there dumbfounded.
„Tsu’tey that was rude!“, you scolded him, holding onto his back for dear life. You were a little embarrassed that Norm witnessed this, but a more primal part of you was getting all hot and bothered at your mates display of dominance and strength. „I don’t give a fuck, I told you no one will stop me tonight and I meant it“, his voice was rough, and when you reached the tree the hammock was located in, he finally set you down. You staggered slightly from being manhandled like that, and he stabilized you with his hands on your waist.
He urged you to climb the tree before him, and you scrambled up into your hammock at the top as fast as you could. As soon as you stood on the woven floor of the hammock, your mate was behind you, turning you around and picking you up again. Your legs wound around his hips, and his hard bulge was already rubbing against your covered core, a gasp leaving your mouth.
Tsu’tey could smell you all the way here, you scolded him for being rude, but he knew it turned you on. He laid you down gently on the plantfibre pillows in the corner and settled between your legs. He immediately captured your lips in a passionate kiss, he was craving your touch and your closeness. When you needed to breath he ripped of your top and started sucking on your nipples, his teeth scraping against your hard bud occasionally, and the grip you consequently established on his braids made him growl, his bulge rutting against the floor for some friction.
„Tsu’tey“, you mewled when he switched to the other side, your slick had already completely drenched your tweng and you just wanted him even closer. „Need you closer, please“, you whined, and you felt him take your queue, quickly making tsaheylu and the familiar shudder went through both of you. „Missed this so much“, you whispered, his lips trailing kisses down to where you needed him most distracting you.
„Me too, I will never go that long without mating with you again“, he purred, happy now that he was so close to burying his face where he wanted to for weeks. He ripped off your tweng too, the cool night air hitting your swollen and wet pussy making a shiver run through you, and he pulled your legs over his shoulder before his tongue buried itself in your slick entrance.
Even after all these years, the texture of his tongue seemed to make you go feral. He loved how unrestrained you got when he ate you out, and he loved your taste, your soft thighs caging in his head making him feel like he could stay there forever. Everytime his nose caught your clit, you clenched around his tongue that was still writhing inside of you, and he could feel you were getting closer through tsaheylu. He was surprised you were approaching your high so quickly, but then again it felt like forever since he made you cum the last time.
„Please m-ma mate I’m going to-”, your voice broke at the end, his thick fingers replacing his tongue, which was now circling your clit. „Cum for me tìyawn, cum for me so I can finally fuck this tight pussy“, he groaned and sucked on your nub, on particular curl of his fingers pushing you over the edge and your thighs almost suffocated the poor man between them, but he didn’t mind. „Oh Tsu’tey!“, you moaned, clenching around his fingers, your high burning through your body in record time.
When you called his name while cumming, he wondered how he ever went that long without this. His fingers fucked you through your orgasm, he couldn’t get enough of your sweet taste, but when you started to twitch from the sensitivity and pushed at his head slightly whimpering, he pulled his fingers out and kissed his way back up, until he was hovering above your panting form. „I see you ma (Y/N)“, he hummed, his forehead on yours and a blissful smile only your lips. „I see you“, you whispered, your legs wrapping around his hips and your hands taking of his loincloth, relishing in the familiar feeling of his thick blue cock slapping against your stomach when it was freed.
Some of his precum leaked onto your belly and you scooped it up with your finger, making eyecontact before sucking it off. The slight salty taste made you hum, and your mate above you lost all composure, moaning deeply and grabbing your thigh in his large hand, maneuvering his hips so his head slipped into you. „Fuck, I can’t wait to cum inside of you, need my scent to be all over you, need to breed you“, he grumbled, his eyes screwed shut while he slipped inside entirely.
No matter how often you mated, he always seemed to stretch you again. When he didn’t move you whimpered slightly, your tail curling around his arms, squeezing the bulging muscle and he groaned. „Please move yawne“, you moaned, and he pulled back before thrusting into you again, his head brushing your cervix slightly. You held onto his biceps once he found a faster rhythm, the hammock shaking slightly with his thrusts and his head buried in your neck nipping at your soft skin.
He grunted against your neck, a shiver running through you and when he angled your hips a little more downwards, he managed to thrust even deeper into you, his balls slapping against your ass with every powerful thrust. His balls were so heavy, he hadn’t cum inside of you for so long there was so much packed in them, he couldn’t wait to fill you with all of it, the thought alone making his movements more forceful.
Your tits rubbing against his pecs made the coil in your stomach tighten, you could feel yourself leaking all over his dick. „Mhm you’re going to cum on my cock ma muntxa? Going to fill you good with my cum, all just for you“, he moaned when you clenched around him, his veiny dick battering your insides and catching onto your spongey spot with every thrust. „Oh Eywa, I’m going to-”, you interrupted yourself with a scream, his hand rubbing your clit suddenly and you exploded around him.
You were basically chanting his name while you held onto him, convulsing and arching your back and he swore it was the most beautiful thing he’s ever seen. All just because of him, all for him, he couldn’t hold back anymore. Your small hands on his biceps squeezed, you were so slick and hot around him and he rutted into you a few more times, thrusting up into you as much as possible. His head was nestled right against your cervix, his balls tightened and with a guttural growl he finally came.
You could feel his hot cum rush into your womb, you were still coming down from your high and the sheer amount that was filling you prolonged your orgasm significantly. You swore he had never cum this much inside of you, but then again you two had never gone so long without eachother. He panted in your neck and he was twitching inside of you, the flow of his seed ceasing. He was so deep inside of you, that nothing spilled out though, most of it locked securely inside your womb.
He was purring, finally satisfied and your soft walls fluttering around him made him hold you tighter. „Mhm“, you hummed, your hands softly massaging his scalp and he kissed your neck gently. „I‘m so glad you’re mine, and so thankful for the family you gave me“, he whispered, his lips brushing your collarbone and you were beaming. You loved how emotional he got after mating, tsaheylu making everything even more intense. „I couldn’t wish for a better, happier life, I love you and our children so much“, you breathed and he knew what the words ‚I love you‘ meant to humans, eventhough you rarely said them - opting instead for the Na‘vi version ‚I see you‘. He shifted slightly, a rare gentle smile on his face when he looked down at you.
„I love you too“, his lips found yours, the intimate position you were in warming your heart. „Tì‘i‘avay krrä“, he promised, sometimes he still couldn’t believe the way his life turned out so amazing. „Forever ma Tsu’tey“, you hummed and he turned you both around, so you could stay interlocked, but he wouldn’t crush you with his weight. He just wanted to hold you close, enjoying your time as a mated pair alone. (Forever/Until the end of time)
DON’T REPOST MY WORK
You don't see Tsu'tey the next day. Nor the day after, or the other.
Before you know it, it's been a week since he graced you with his scowl and insults. It's good like this, you try to convince yourself. It was better to not see him at all rather than be at each others' throats– it was healthy for your nerves. After Tsu'tey had made it crystal clear that you were aggravating and a factor of chaos in his life, you felt nothing but shame.
Even after your heated argument, you continued to admire him from afar with lingering glances. The realization was humiliating enough that you didn't leave your kelku for an entire day, kicking and punching things around to blow off steam. Your child-like outburst was sufficient in clearing your head, and it helped you decide on your next course of action; hunt until your arms drop. You had decided if you were a constant aggravation in his life, why not conquer his stomach as well?
For the past week, you've been the one providing the clan meat - unless you count the young adults eager to court their prospective mates. After the raw meat stacks in the storage room had doubled, Mo'at kindly asked you to slow down since you didn't need that much meat, and that you were messing with Eywa's balance. The wizened healer was more than happy to hear your apology and your eagerness to provide.
The all-consuming feeling of being useless can only deter you so far, and now, as you crouch behind a large bush, you realize why Mo'at demanded you to stop in panic. The herd of nantang pups roughhousing with their siblings is a view that would melt any grown Na'vi's heart—yours included.
You've been tracking them all morning, having stumbled upon their mother during your routine of bathing in the riverbank, and curiosity did always kill the cat. You don't know what pushed you to track the feline animal that almost killed you during your first night in the forest, yet deep down, you wanted them to be misunderstood.
You always thought that Tsu'tey would turn out to be kind and understanding, perhaps even funny when he warmed up to you– that it was all a big misunderstanding, on both of your parts, if not yours. You were colossally wrong.
Before you knew it, your lean legs carried you until you fully started trailing the pups, gawking at them with a wide smile when they settled near their nest and started a game of who can bite harder. Their mother is not far, you note, probably looking for food in the clearing. You debate on offering them your meat, snug in your pocket, but decide against it. Eywa's balance, and all that. Moat had been rubbing off on you.
A crack in the otherwise silent forest ruins the moment and sours your mood. Puppy-like creatures playing with each other would have been therapeutic and made you forget about a certain scowling man, but it seems getting some peace of mind was not possible.
"_____?" Tsu'tey's voice whispers, and you fight to urge to physically recoil. Decidedly staying hidden in your position, you watch his broad frame kneel beside you from the corner of your eye.
It's been a week since you saw him and it seems he has been busy. Not only were his wounds healed, he regained his muscle, if not, bulked more. You wonder what Mo'at had to say about him doing physical exercise, then quickly try to wipe the sweaty images of him working out from your mind.
Your flushed state alerts the man before you further; his ears perk up, his tail swishes, and his nose wrinkles. "Why are you watching nantang pups?" he asks, almost dumbfounded.
Why should be your question, you would argue.
Why, after a week has he come to see you, deep in the woods no less? It had to be something urgent, you doubt he would apologize after all this time. Your chest aches but the feeling of being utterly useless and humiliated doesn't settle. While it used to wash over you and ground your hunches to the core of Pandora, you only feel pity for Tsu'tey now—he was a strong warrior but his judgment would always keep him from reaching his highest potential as a leader.
With this in mind, you don't feel too bad about not sparing him a glance. He closes the distance between your bodies and kneels fully, face coming beside yours. Side by side like this, not only can you smell you, you can feel him. His warmth exudes like a summer wave and you question why his body's always so hot. Your lashes flutter against your cheek when you secretly gaze at his chest, the rise and fall of his firm pectorals, and the accessories that seem to be adorning his neck again.
They're new. The thought makes your skin prickle with anger and desire. Out of respect, the clan members evidently prepared him jewelry all the more glorious than his previous set, and they've done a mighty good job. His neck isn't covered anymore, rather, an intricate tooth and stone choker surround the thick of his nape. How pretty, you think, too bad his attitude isn't.
He's looking at you from the corner of his eye, careful not to alert your fun. He doesn't speak, merely looks, and the side of your cheek tickles where his eyes gaze.
"What do you want?" you ask in a whisper, but your agitated tone is noticeable and lest you weren't whispering, Tsu'tey sure would have winced.
He gulps, then averts his gaze. "I wanted to," he pauses, gripping his waistband.
You roll your eyes, "Insult me more? Talk about my hands? Yell at me for not leaving you to die?"
Tsu'tey groans softly, hanging his head low. "No, no. You-" he starts. "You have been avoiding me."
You scoff. "Yeah, thought it would be a good idea for the both of us. I'm sure the past week has been bliss, I know mine was." you hiss, scrambling your brain for any insulting line to stab him with. It's satisfying, if not making you feel less of a loser amongst strong Na'vi warriors.
Tsu'tey grits his teeth, agitated. You smirk.
"I wanted to apologize."
Your head snaps to him, wide-eyed and jaw gaping. "Sure," you snort, not believing him in the slightest.
He growls lowly, then shuts his eyes tight. He seems to be in battle with himself and you don't know which side wins until he opens his eyes and sighs. "I'm serious. I would like to apologize for my...behavior. I should not have insulted you after you have saved my life. I am...grateful."
He doesn't quite meet your eyes but his tone is truly sincere, so much so that you have to blink twice and pinch your leg to check if you aren't daydreaming again. Was there something in your tea this morning?
"Oh," you gape, "You're serious. Huh,"
Tsu'tey crosses his arms, then shakes his head in a small nod. His braids crinkle around and you can't help but admire the style change. Rather than a straight line of tight-knit braids, they now adorned the whole of his head and were pulled back into a small bun. It would be outright wrong to deny this suits him, he looks devastatingly handsome.
You clear your throat, having forgotten about the nantang herd altogether. They've surely scrambled to their mother by now, but you don't seem to care—you can't take your eyes off of Tsu'tey in hopes of catching a small crack in his expression.
"I'm speaking from the heart. I am truly sorry."
Your brows furrow, "Okay, I'll believe you, and accept your apology. This doesn't mean we're friends though."
Tsu'tey chuckles, a deep timbre from his chest. It sounds raspy and heart-stopping that you take a deep breath. "Likewise, vrrtep. What are you doing here anyway? Have you not accustomed to the forest after all this time?" he asks mockingly.
"No," you shake your head and cross your arms, matching his stance. Your elbows touch ever so slightly but neither of you pull away. "I was just having some me-time, that's all."
"What is this, me-time?" he grunts, clearly finding the activity laughable.
You fight the urge to nudge his hip with yours to knock him off his hunches. You decide against it. "Time spent alone to relax and stuff." you retort, raising your voice higher.
Tsu'tey gives you an incredulous look. "How nice. And what do you do in this me-time? Sing with the syaksyuk and frolic in flowers?" he snorts.
You swat at his arm but he pulls away quickly enough that you hit the bark of a big tree instead. The smirk he gives you is infuriatingly attractive though, and you groan in annoyance.
"I'll have you know," you start firmly, putting one leg up and then the other to stand with harsh stomps. "Everyone should have some me-time! It makes you relax and turns you into a happy person. Maybe if you took some me-time, you wouldn't be so scowl-y."
Tsu'tey follows suit in stepping into the clearing after you. He puts his hands on his hips and scowls, you almost laugh.
"Look, scowling again!"
He humphs and neutralizes his face, then offers you a smile that's nothing short of fake and forced. "You are right, this me-time you were having made me incredibly happy in your absence."
You gawk, "So much of an apology,”
"You're very aggressive today, is the me-time not working?" he quips, taking a closer step towards you. You take one back in retaliation.
"It was working before you showed up." you hiss. "What, you came here to apologize then annoy me some more? How fitting."
Tsu'tey's lip turns into an expression that's all too fake in expressing his sadness. "You have already accepted my apology, you cannot take it back."
"I won't." You say, turning and inspecting some sort of flower plant. "You have too many things to apologize for anyway,"
Tsu'tey lets out a surprised "Ha!" and then closes the distance between you two to see what you're so carefully inspecting. "And what are those?"
"The flowers or your actions?"
He gives you a dubious look.
"Hmm, let's see. Almost making me fall off my Ikran for once."
Tsu'tey rolls his eyes. "That was a skill issue."
"You putting my saddle on backward is hardly a skill issue."
Tsu'tey's smile tells you that he knew exactly what he was doing, and that he was proud of his little prank nonetheless how irritated you are. "I shall have you know tawtute, your skills have turned-"
The view that the intervener is presented with is surely comical. You and Tsu'tey's heads whip around in synch.
"Who is there?" shouts Tsu'tey, unsheathing his dagger and holding his arm up in a protective manner that has you questioning how he truly feels about you.
"Tsu'tey, brother." Reytan greets his superior with two fingers dripping with respect. He carries out the gesture to you as well but softens his smile.
Reytan has been a new addition to your life—a surprising one but not unwelcome. He claimed he'd been mesmerized by your bravery in the war and had requested to hunt together several times, to which you happily agreed because fuck, he was attractive.
With lean muscles, piercing eyes, and a dominating aura that dulled down into a nurturing persona and a soft voice at times, he was the epitome of a proud Omaticayan man. These factors made it all the easier to relax in his presence and simply enjoy the mundanity of your duties.
"____, I was looking for you," he announces, standing straight.
You clear your throat and quickly step away from Tsu'tey. He surveys you, then Reytan, finally settling his eyes back on you.
"Did we have anything planned for today?" you reluctantly ask, scattering your mind for forgotten conversations.
He shakes his head, "No, I simply wanted to be with you." he grins, tail swaying from side to side.
"Oh," you think. "Oh!"
Ignoring Tsu'tey's noise of protest, you stride towards Reytan. "I see, erm...what did you want to do?"
"I thought we could take a flight together, the eclipse sky is quite pretty with Ikran." he says softly, completely ignoring Tsu'tey in the heat of it all.
Awkwardly shuffling between your feet, you debate whether going with him will spite Tsu'tey or make him heave a breath of relief. The inner turmoil causes a wave of chills to run through your body, like someone had poured cold water down your body, froze your past, present and future then suspended you in time to realize the dawning realization.
You care about what Tsu'tey thinks. You care about who Tsu'tey talks to. You care about how Tsu'tey reacts to your presence. Your heart beats for Tsu'tey.
Even after all that he's made you endure.
Your breathing turns ragged, hands clammy, hair standing up. With an unnaturally straight posture, you shudder a quiet exhale and fight back the urge to scream until your lungs burn.
"____?"
Reytan's voice snaps you out of it. "Oh, yes?" you clear your throat. "Yes, of course. Y-you," with shaky hands, you usher him forward. "You go ahead, I'll be right behind. Just need to finish up here."
You lost your composure for a quick second, but those ticking moments were horrifying enough to let you glimpse into what would happen if you entertained feelings for Tsu'tey.
Reytan nods reluctantly, but leaves without protest. After he's out of view, you hurriedly scamper around the area to retrieve any personal belongings you forgot. You don't dare look at Tsu'tey, not after the realization.
You hear him hmph, or perhaps it's your ears playing tricks on you again. When he does it again and you don't answer, Tsu'tey is annoyed.
"I do not like him."
You whip around. The 'search' for personal belongings was fruitless—a mere excuse to spend more time in his presence but not interact.
"Why?" you croak, smoothing down your hair.
His eyes follow the movement. "He is too...not for you," he grunts.
You furrow your brows. "Are you saying I'm not good enough for him!" your heart clenches. Turning around, you refuse to look him in the eye when he inevitably answers. You dread his voice at this very moment.
"The opposite," he says curtly, stomping towards your form.
Your head whips back around again, yet he's too close for comfort. His breath fans your cheek. "That's...he isn't even courting me."
Tsu'tey scoffs. "Of course he is! Did you not see his tail? His invitation to ride Ikran together?"
You roll your eyes and shuffle away from his presence. "He's just being friendly," you say curtly.
Tsu'tey barks out a laugh that makes you want to crawl into a hole. "You are being naive. He is courting you," he says, tone all too low.
"And why exactly is that a problem?" you grit your teeth, snatching your satchel from him when he offers. In your frenzy of anger and unadulterated denial, your satchel had somehow ended up on the lush greenery. "What if I want to be courted, wooed, and romanced, huh? I don't see why it's any of your business."
He growls, shoulders squaring with his large step towards your frame. "That is not the problem here...someone else can do that for you!"
You shake your head in disbelief. "Reytan is a kind and strong warrior. Anyone would be stupid to refuse his advances, now if you'll excuse me,"
You step around him with your head held high. His grip stops you full force, "Do not go to him." he hisses.
"And why not?"
Tsu'tey pauses, his grip on your arm tightening painfully. "Just do not, why are you so stubborn?"
You try to pull your arm away. "You're the stubborn one!"
His grip is unwavering, eyes piercing into your very being. The hair on your arms prickle. "Ugh– if you don't let go of my arm I'll hurt you."
Tsu'tey scoffs, finding the threat all too humorous. "I'd like to see you try, syulang."
"Oh yeah?"
And with that, you kick his shin as hard as you can and take off into the bushes. The groan Tsu'tey lets out reverberates around the forest and echoes into the afternoon glow. You're making too much noise as you walk away, grumbling and complaining about his incessant behavior, but no children of Eywa dare get in your way.
