So when you decide to marry Tsu’tey you had thought your marriage with him will be good. As Tsu’tey is a wonderful husband he had accepted, your wishes of going between your avatar and human body. You had respect and honored Tsu’tey role in the clan was warrior and clan lifestyle. Even due Tsu’tey and many other Navi were coming, to understand their human mates or friends there were some stuff they had fully understand.
Y/n “ ……..” you had waken up early in your mates home as, you need to get back to the human base for more oxygen packs. You soon removed your husband arms around you and got out of bed, making sure to cover your husband in the blanket.

tsu'tey " oh hush boy"
spider " oh come on day I'm just playing around"
y/n " oh come on we can fight about this later on my husband, but I need to get these air packs for me and spider if we stay here as humans"
tsu'tey " okay I just worry"
y/n " there is nothing to worry about my husband" you had kissed tsu'tey check making him smile, the mighty warrior had never thought he will find love until he meant you. He also thought he will never have a family until you and him welcome spider into your family.
y/n " I will see you to later kiddo"
spider " yes mom see you later" you soon left the home and head off towards the human base, you were able to see there were enough oxygen packs for everyone and new ones being made as well.
max " hey there y/n it good to see you"
y/n " hey max"
norm " good you were here your avatar body is fixed and perfect for you to use again,if you wish to use your avatar body again"
y/n " I was just having a conversation about my avatar body with tsu'tey .... you know I will love to use my avatar body again"
max " good lets get you ready" you had nodded your head as you soon followed max and norm towards the avatar link bods. The team along with you had gotten everything ready and soon enough the process had happened.
y/n " wow it worked perfectly"
norm " good to see you in blue again"
y/n " happy to be back as my avatar I missed having times like this life with mask, all the times get tiring after a while" the two man laugh at your statement, and now you were back as navi walking around the base and helping around.
norm " I still can't believe you married or mated in navi terms with tsu'tey"
y/n " he a good husband and person he makes me happy"
norm " I still remember when grace found out you and tsu'tey were becoming closer then friends... oh she was so shocked"
y/n " oh yes I remember that day she said she was shocked that, I and tsu'tey were becoming so close then she had thought she even predicted that we will become a couple and she was right"
Scientist " hey none of us knew we will be making our lives here on pandora, and that some of us will become very close to the navi"
max " so should we be expecting you and tsu'tey to be having some kids, and have more avatar and navi kids running around here with Jake kids and spider"
Scientist 2 " that will be funny will they be like tsu'tey or be like you"
y/n " we have had the conversation of kids before so maybe"
max " well do what you want"
y/n " thank you max"
Scientist " hey quick question for you y/n"
y/n " sure"
Scientist " is your husband going to fight us or kill us" you soon looked and saw tsu'tey sitting on his dire horse he was glaring at, the humans that were so close to his mate.
Scientist 3 " if looks could kill we will be all dead"
Scientist 4 " I thought we were on friendly terms with the clan"
y/n " don't worry everyone he harmless"
Scientist " harmless are you sure"
y/n " yes when he not mad about something or fighting and hunting, but he very nice and respect you all"
Scientist " then why is he so mad"
norm " well I think he overprotective of you y/n navi are protective of their mates, and will chase or fight anyone who trying to steal their mate or cross some lines"
y/n " that my husband"
max " oh here comes your husband" tsu'tey had gotten off his dire horse and soon walked towards, you he soon wrapped a arm around you and looked at the others.
tsu'tey " I know you all her friends but if anyone here tries anything ... we are going to have some problems I hope you all understand well we will be leaving now" tsu'tey soon dragged you away as you looked at your friends some of them seem shocked and scared at the same time.
y/n " sorry" you had mounted sorry to them as they nodded their heads towards you, but soon stopped when tsu'tey looked back at them. Tsu'tey soon helped you onto his dire horse and soon took off making sure to spend the whole day with you.
y/n " you know you are cute when you are jealous"
tsu'tey " I'm not jealous I'm just defend my wife my wife that all" you soon laugh making tsu'tey look away but deep down he was smiling as well. Even due he could be overprotective at times he was still your husband and, you wouldn't change anything about it.

Tumblr media Tumblr media
the waves crashing gets louder the more frustrated you get. you huff your breath at him. his skin glows as darkness looms over you, his light blue skin and dark stripes adorn the bright flecks of colour that reflects the moonlight on his skin.
“hfmp–” you groan getting off the ground onto your knees, feeling the tightly woven straw floor underneath your bare skin. the moonlight shines beautifully through the window, shining in your eyes.
he moves, lifting his body off the ground with his hands to right where you did. he lays, head resting on the hand-woven and stuffed pillow. he’s comfortable, resting his arms under his head in a cocky manner. throwing your leg over his waist, you slowly lower yourself onto him. it just won’t fit. “fuck–”
“it’s so cute watching you try,” he cooed, a smile stretching over his pretty face–a chuckle leaves his lips soon after. he moves his hips, nudging upwards for you to try again.
cruel.
“shut up, roa,” you whine, hands resting by his sides getting frustrated with your incapability. your head only gets hotter, heat suddenly feels like it's burning through your whole body.
tangaroa’s grin turns into a smirk. his pride is filled–your small human body, struggling with the sheer size of him fuels his lust. he sits up on his arms, his face coming up to yours–he hums, letting out a quiet coo, “my little human, so small–incapable of taking me. do you want my help?”
“no,” you spit, stubborn and determined to get it in all on your. his teeth show, his smile couldn’t get any bigger, god, he’s fucking loving it–he likes the way you're so strong-willed.
it wasn’t the first time you’ve had sex–every time it’s big, the pain feels good–the stretch is so intoxicating but usually he helps you, warms you up–he’s good at it.
it was getting to a point where you were feeling soreness in your own arms and legs, maybe it was time to give up but hell, you weren't going to give up. “i can do it.”
he takes his bottom lip between his teeth, his large hand resting on the small of your back and he pulls you up slightly making your core gush–you sounded ready to him, maybe you only needed a little push. his hands are hot, your breathing labors watching his eyes flicker between yours and your plump lips, “okay, try again, my love.”
the metkayina men are a lot bigger than the others. larger in every single way. even straddling his waist was almost a struggle in itself. you take initiative, dropping lower on his body. his cock stands tall, soaked in your attempts. sitting on it’s shaft you ride on it, rubbing its length between your swollen lips–gosh, the sounds they make, is like music to his ears.
his lips part, and he lets out a pleased sound. he makes the most pretty noises, you feel the lower part of your stomach warm the more his voice sings to it.
the head is thick, larger than the shaft, that in itself was stopping you–the sheer girth and weight of it. “you can play on it all you want, i know you want me inside of you–all of me.” he enjoyed the way you were practically teasing and edging yourself but it was hard for him to hide his own desires.
his hand takes hold of your jaw gently, he brings your face towards his–eyes darkened and his lashes long, flutter against your cheeks. he parts his lips more, he wants it–he knows you do too. you press your lips against his blue ones, the kiss wasn’t slow or gentle at all. its rough, teeth clanging together–his fangs bite down on your lips as they intertwine just like he was trying to devour you. you turn your head, deepening the angle allowing him to only need the slight swipe of his tongue to enter you. his tongue engulfs you, tasting like pure honey–sweet and impossibly delicious. moans leave your lips, getting swallowed by his lips.
his free hand makes it’s way toward your bottom half, gripping your cheeks in them. he parts your cheeks, hearing the way your arousal smacks and sticks to you. “let me help you.”
“but i wanted to–” your lips quiver as if tears wanted to release. frustration to the max, to the verge of tears.
“i know, i know–but i can’t wait, fuck–i want you too much.” he groans through the kiss, rubbing your nape gently to reassure you, “next time, you can take your time–you’ve teased me all day, i can’t help it–you are too fuckable in our clothes.”
his lips leave yours to bite and mark your neck. he sucks and presses his fangs into your skin. his arms are long enough for him to prod his fingers that tickles your core to navigate toward your heat.
it was the first day you truly felt like you belonged here, he'd adorned you with leathers, beads and shells. practically making it known that you were his for his entire tribe to see. it was the most exposed you've ever been but, you didn't feel strange–no, because here everyone was dressed that way–no one looked at you differently. only him, his eyes glued to you all day in those small pieces of clothes.
he feels how much wetter you’ve become already, practically dripping–he breathes heavily onto your collarbone, dropping his head down to suckle at the skin of your breasts, marking the heavily as you could cover them.
his thick fingers poke and pry at your raw and pulsing lips, overused from the attempts of pushing him in. he tuts, feeling bad for you, “at least you tried, hm? such a good girl.” he chuckles, teasing you to get a cute reaction from you.
you whine and pout at him. pushing your ass back into his fingers making them dip into your cunt a bit. you muffled a moan, pushing your head into his braids.
“do not keep those noises to yourself, if you do–i will stop.” he presses his lips to the shell of your ear, "be patient, hm, and you'll get what you want from me."
“okay. please, roa, don't stop."

Courting Spider
Tumblr media
Pairing: Spider x Na'vi Male OC
Masterlist AO3
Summary: It's time that someone takes care of Spider for once. Zhali is up for the task.
Warnings: aged up Spider/Sully kids, explicit, MDNI, male x male, size difference, Na'vi x human pairing, oral, insecurities, angst, trauma, injury, blood, perfectionism, Spider just needs to be loved, etc.
A/N: Wow, this took a while but it is finally here. Not too confident with some of the writing style for ths one but hopefully it still makes sense.
Tumblr media
“What about the back panel?”
“Useless.” Zhali quickly interjects, weaving the soft fabric together with practiced precision. Lo’ak huffs slightly, titling his head as he watches the male work on the small piece of clothing.
“He’s not going to wear it with his ass out, brother.”
Zhali rolls his eyes and takes a deep breath. He will never understand the Sky Demon’s obsession with modesty. Clothing should allow one to move freely and if it shifts from one way to the other, so what? Who would truly notice, anyways?
Well, he supposes, were it Spider he himself would notice.
And suddenly all that Zhali can think about is getting a glimpse of the little Tawtute’s bum, just another peek at that beautifully soft and squishing form of his. As tempting as the idea is, however, it does have him editing his original claim. If he has interest in seeing that sculpted ass, surely other Na’vi or even Sky Demons could have the same intentions.
He decides to weave together a back panel after all. Besides, once the small Sky Demon has been courted and agrees to mate with him, it may be more rewarding to have that area of his mate revealed to his eyes only. That thought has the slightest curve of a smile lacing his lips.
Lo’ak, as always, is one to notice the shift in demeanor, but he pays the other male no mind. After all, there would have been no chance of executing this courting properly without Lo’ak’s insights. Zhali thanks the Great Mother that he has close enough ties with someone Spider considers his best friend. Otherwise, how else would he know how to make a loincloth for the boy in the first place? Or not to leave dead kills at the outpost’s front entrance as a courting gift?
Lo’ak’s information is irreplaceable. It’s hard enough to wrap his mind around the different customs and concerns of a small tawtute, let alone court one without any insight in the first place.
Although it may seem unconventional to some Na’vi, opinions that he has heard personally from some friends and family, Zhali knows that there is no one else for him besides Spider.
He can still recall the spark of interest that had been there during their adolescence, watching the small boy with golden hair saunter across the forest confidently. He had moved with a grace and agility that Zhali had never witnessed from a Tawtute. Back then, his small crush was poorly nourished as his parents tried their hardest to keep him from spending too much time around Sky Demons. Searching to become a warrior and clan member that would make his parents proud, Zhali had refrained from stepping out of bounds.
There were small moments he had caught with the so-called monkey boy, but it was always in the presence of others.
The night of Spider’s capture had been a core memory for Zhali. He recalls it as the night he truly began his path to adulthood. Regret and dread had laced his gut as he realized his own cowardice had broken any real chance at connecting with the other male. It shifted his perspective, pushing him forward until he had made himself a promise that night.
Never again would he let criticism and judgment keep him from following his heart’s desires.
It was only the direct command and even surveillance from the new Olo’eyktan that had kept him from storming Hell’s gate as a one man army.
Those years apart had been painful, but they had shaped him into the man he is today, the man he needed to become. There had been slight relief that came from hearing of Spider reuniting with the Sully family across the sea. However, he could never erase the sting of missed opportunity.
Following the footsteps of his father and other warriors, Zhali had channeled this pressing emotion into his training. The sun would barely be upon the horizon before Zhali began his daily grind. He had excelled in every aspect that a young warrior could, spending extra hours training alone with only the glowing light of eclipse for aiding sight. When he had pushed himself in every aspect of hunting, fighting, and gathering possible he had moved on to homemaking skills.
Now, sitting here with only a few months of weaving underneath his fingertips, he’s proud to find the garment an attractive item thus far. A surprising fact considering how his discipline and attention has slipped upon the Sully family’s return. Or rather, Spider’s return.
Seeing the small tawtute advance from behind the Sully family, hair somehow turned a lighter shade of gold and arm adorned with shelled jewelry, Zhali had felt like a child once more. The Great Mother had been kind to him, advancing his form into that of a true muscled warrior and adorning him with skills that were far beyond anything the could’ve dreamed about at fifteen, but none of that seemed to matter when faced with Spider once more. His stomach had tightened into a million different knots, tail swinging and ears flickering desperately as he took in the beautiful male before him.
Although taken aback and slightly nervous, something he would never admit, Zhali had expressed these emotions in the best way he knew how; hard work. The family had only been home for little more than a moon cycle but the male’s courting plans were already underway. His consultation with Lo’ak had informed him that the beautiful tawtute was in fact still unmated. He figured that the Metkayina Na’vi knew nothing of real value placed in their laps if they had somehow managed to miss courting such an exquisite creature.
Nevertheless, he is grateful for their insolence.
The yearnings of his heart have never ceased and Zhali would have his soul taken up to Eywa before he’d let this chance slip away again.
“You’re sure about this color?” He murmurs, concentrating on the intricate trim to lace the sides. Next to him Lo’ak lounges along the marui floor with one leg propped as he bites into the delicious fruit he missed oh so much. Golden eyes flicker over to the intricate pattern of green material, different shades popping out in precise patterns.
“Well he did complain about there not being enough green on Awalatuu.”
“I asked you what his favorite color was.” Zhali huffs out, finally letting the unfinished garment rest on his lap. Lo’ak hardly flinches under the glare he receives, simply shrugging his shoulders before continuing to eat.
“I know. Figure it must be green if he complained about its absence so much.”
It’s not fair to bite back at the hand that feeds him. Zhali knows this. He repeats it in his head over and over again. If there is one thing that he has learned about Spider it’s that no one treats the poor boy the way he deserves. Lo’ak and Kiri are the closest things that the small human has to friends, but even they have other parts of their lives that pull their attention away from him. There are always other obligations and personal problems that come first before Spider and to Zhali’s dismay, the boy accepts it.
Being left in the shadows is something that has become natural to Spider in his life. The Sully family takes him in, but never with the attitude of treating him like their very own. The scientists at the lab have watched over him since he was a child but not one of them was truly a parent. They too, have their own worries and concerns. Most are too focused on their own research and work to really prioritize raising a child.
That familiar lingering of guilt resurfaces when Zhali remembers that he too let Spider remain hostage with those Demons for months on end, not one rescue party sent after him.
It’s a fact that haunts him to this day, but he vows to leave all those mistakes behind. Spider will be safe and taken care of in his arms, by his side and treated with the love and respect that he deserves. For the first time in the boy’s life, he will know what it means to be someone’s first priority.
Tumblr media
Spider can still feel Neteyam’s curious glances thrown his way as they walk silently back to the human outpost. With the small bundle of fine fabric carefully clasped in his hands, it feels like a small eternity before the human boy can comprehend the turn of events. Upon his return to the Omatikaya clan Spider had assumed that most outside of a few humans from the lab outpost would remember him, let alone receive a courting gift from one of the clan’s finest Na’vi males.
Is that what this is? A courting gift?
Although, Zhali had used all the proper words one would upon extending a courting gift and beaming at Spider’s acceptance, it’s still difficult to be one hundred percent certain that is what had occurred. The ogling he had done over the garment in front Zhali had been taken in with a smile bursting of pride that seared into Spider’s countenance. The blush that erupted over his tan skin wasn’t even comprehensible until the heat was enough to have him sweating underneath the glass of his mask.
Looking back, Spiders knows that his gratitude had been little more a stumbling of thank you’s and rambled thoughts that hardly finished into full sentences. It didn’t seem to matter, however, as Zhali had left the pair with a stride that made him look as if he was walking on clouds. Truthfully, Spider often makes that comparison when watching the male prance along the forest with ease. He wouldn’t necessarily call it ogling….just keen observations that he can’t help but make.
Neteyam had been almost entirely silent during the exchange and when Zhali had broken away, his only comment had been something about the smooth fabric being made of rare materials only present in the Hallelujah mountains. Spider had done nothing more than nod in response. Now, meeting up with Lo’ak once more, Neteyam jumps in to relay the scene to his younger brother. Lo’ak simply smirks and shoots Spider a wink.
It punches through his blood and once again Spider finds sweat gathering at the edges of his mask. He knows his friend better than he would like to at times, so he knows that looks like that always come with a reason from Lo’ak. He seems neither surprised nor reluctant to let that signature smirk show.
Perhaps it isn’t in his head after all.
A courting gift for him.
Made specifically for him.
It’s disheartening when Spider realizes that he never expected to receive one of these.
He makes an excuse about needing rest in order to get away from the Sully brothers as soon as possible. Once back inside the common area of the outpost, he flings the sweat mask off of his face and to the side carelessly.
“Spider.” Norm sighs from his work station. No words are needed to show that he does not approve of the boy’s disregard of the equipment.
“Busy.” Spider rushes out before practically sprinting to his room. That is if it can be called a room. It’s a corner of the outpost that Spider had managed to claim for himself with old drapes hung up messily for privacy and a hammock strung up that he had made himself. His greatest and most rare possession however was a floor length mirror. Spider had gone through Hell and back in order to get it here. And by Hell, he meant literal Hell’s Gate where the RDA had left their fancy gear behind the first time.
He rushes to throw the bag of fruit to the side and shuffles himself over onto the bed. The soft cloth is unfolded as if he is about to handle the rarest of Pandora’s diamonds and to Spider it might as well be.  Perhaps even more valuable considering the rarity.
The fabric slipped along his fingers like the sway of a rushing river, a smooth effortless motion. His own grimy hands caked with dirt and a hint of blood from rough housing with Neteyam look horrifying next to the carefully crafted garment. In fact, it’s enough to have Spider setting the piece to the side and rushing to the bathroom so he can wash his hands. It would be a shame to ruin the loincloth so quickly simply because of his bad hygiene.
Stomping past Norm and the other lounging scientists he tries to ignore him.
“Kid, what have I told you about leaving your mask on the ground?” Norm huffs but Spider is already closing the door to the cramped bathroom.
He may have been a teenager when he was captured by the RDA but now has come into full adulthood. Something Norm seems to have a hard time understanding. Spider doesn’t care how much water he hogs in order to get every speck of dirt and grime from his hands. He only leaves the cramped bathroom when his skin is scrubbed raw and red.
Leaning back against the woven hammock he allows himself the proper time to just admire the details of his new gift. It’s a beautiful emerald green with precise stitching that works to outline patterns of leaves and greenery. Under the harsh light of the outpost bulbs, the boy admires the way the thread glimmers with the shift of light. He thanks Eywa that it has a back panel. It may be something he is used to seeing with Na’vi but Spider can not imagine having his own ass hanging out of his loincloth, especially without a tail for it to wrap around.
Once he finally wrangles up the courage to try on the loincloth he is amazed to see how perfectly it fits. The fabric is like silk against his rough skin. Or at least what he remembers silk to feel like from that one time another scientist let him touch her silk pillowcase. The band is woven of various colored threads and twine that come together to create criss cross patterns. His fingers brush them softly in a silent reverence.
Spider looks at the mirror and allows himself to drink in the sight. Most days, the boy uses the mirror to simply swat at his dreadlock hair or repaint the blue stripes on his skin, but never can he remember a time that he uses it to admire himself. To look at his appearance head on and feel something more than indifference or longing to be a version of himself that is blue and a few feet taller.
Being a human is something that Spider has learned to make peace with, but that doesn’t mean he particularly likes the look of himself. The blue stripes help slightly to cover the extra squish of his body that is normally nonexistent across Na’vi stomachs. With the beautiful garment now fitted perfectly to his hips, Spider notices for the first time how good a color besides blue looks on him.
The heap of leather that is his usual loincloth seems like nothing more than a discarded washcloth now. Jake had been the one to show him how to weather the material and fashion it into clothing but from there the job had been his own to update the garment in stride with his growth spurts.
The loincloth is so  clean and pristine in comparison to the rest of Spider’s appearance that for a moment he considers putting it away for safekeeping. What would happen if he tore a hole in it or got dirt rubbed into the careful stitching? It’s too beautiful to take the risk.
However, when his fingers start to undo the carefully tied knots at the sides, he catches another glance of himself in the mirror and he hesitates. It looks so much better than before. He looks so much better than before. Maybe it has nothing to do with the loincloth’s quality at all. Perhaps it’s the careful thought and effort put into such an extraordinary gift. A thought for him. Just him and only him.
One simple reminder that someone thinks he is worthy of nice things.
Spider allows himself the privilege of wearing this reminder throughout the day.
Tumblr media
Zhali does not have many opportunities to spend time with Spider, especially without the company of others. Most nights he only gets to share a few sentence exchanges with the boy before either him or Spider is pulled away by their responsibilities or nagging friends. It doesn’t kill his spirits, however, not when he notices how beautiful the tawtute looks wearing his courting gift. Pride swells to the size of a balloon in his chest upon seeing how perfect the fit is. This feeling only inflates to new bounds when he sees Spider wear the garment every day without fail.
Having been entrusted with leading one of the hunting parties on a daily basis, Zhali finds himself daydreaming about the male between patrols and petting down the direhorse. The other Na’vi in the crew do not fail to notice his shift in demeanor. Although some of them spread rumors that it has to do with Zhali’s unbridled affection for a certain golden haired tawtute, no one goes out of their way too complain. Controversial or not, Zhali is more forgiving of their mistakes when he is in high spirits. It matters not that it comes from a small Sky Demon.
Lo’ak continues to assist Zhali in preparing another gift for Spider. This time they settle on weaving together a simple but stunning armband. Surprisingly this requires more experience and skill than the loincloth but he has never been one to back away from the struggle that comes from picking up a new trade. Zhali’s fingers work tirelessly as Lo’ak chatters on about the Metkayina clan and what adventures he missed.
Later that night Zhali listens to the encroaching thunder that rumbles in the distance. Even his direhorse hesitates in his stride but he urges him forward. There is less than an hour left of his patrol and then he will return to his carefully crafted hut to get some much needed rest. However, now the sound of thunder and lightning is becoming more pressing and the male becomes less and less sure of how soon that sleep will come.
It comes as no surprise when the first drops of rain quickly picks up into a full downpour. Lo’ak grumbles next to him, but Zhali ignores the other male’s mumbled curses and directs them to split up so more ground can be covered. They might as well check up on the family huts and make sure everyone has the sufficient coverings and supplies needed for the storm.
It’s when he’s wading through the heavy greenery and wiping water from his eyes that Zhali catches sight of something peculiar. He follows the movement of bushes slowly, urging the direhorse to tread carefully. With the blanket of falling rain it’s difficult to identify the small creature wading through the greenery. Judging by the amount of rustle it creates, Zhali concludes that the creature must be either injured or panicking in the storm. He urges the horse to prowl closer as the rain pelts against his back mercilessly.
It becomes near impossible to see anything in the thick greenery but there is a series of snapping branches and he watches as the beast comes tumbling down the hill. It rolls and crashes along the greenery before finally hitting the bottom of a tree trunk with a grunt. Through the thick sheet of rain, Zhali finally catches a glimpse of golden hair flying in the wind.
Spider!
He’s off the direhorse within a heartbeat and racking through the thick leaves moments later. Spider is sprawled out on the muddy ground, limbs stretched in every direction. The boy blinks, seemingly trying to comprehend the turn of events.
“Spider.” Unintentionally Zhali words come out as a hiss. The Na’vi searches over the boy’s body frantically to see if there are any fatal wounds. With limited light it’s difficult to fully see where the sources of blood are so he shifts to use his fingertips to feel for wounds. Spider simply groans and stares up at him through slitted eyes as Zhali weaves through his hair in search of a head injury. He prays to the Great Mother that he won’t find one.
The Sky Demon’s small body is covered in mud and littered with a plethora of bruises and bleeding scrapes. Luckily, none of these injuries appear to be more serious than the deeper cut over his shoulder. It will require bandaging and a series of healing ointments to prevent infection. Zhali is already running through the list of healing procedures he plans to execute on the boy when Spider’s voice finally breaks him out of the trance.
“Hey.” Spider speaks in a gravelly hushed tone. “I-I’m ok.” He goes to sit up but a large blue hand covering half of his chest, gently pushes him back down. “Sorry I just lost my grip….got a little disoriented but…yeah sorry.”
“You’re bleeding.” Zhali says bluntly.
Spider looks down to see a smear of red painting his shoulder. Zhali watches his reaction with perked ears and pointed tail on alert but Spider simply knits his brows together and shrugs. However, the small being is unable to hide the grimace that flashes across his features. It has become a real effort on Zhali’s part to learn the ways of reading human expression, especially ones covered by those ridiculous masks. It can be incredibly frustrating trying to read one’s reaction without a flickering tail or ears to give away the boy’s state.
“Oh shit, yeah, I guess I am. It’s ok…the outpost has a first aid kit so…”
It’s then Zhali’s turn to scrunch his features in confusion.
A first aid kit? Is that another one of those Sky Demon inventions those scientists are so fond of? Once Zhali had snuck down with Lo’ak and Neteyam when they were teens to the outpost and he had caught sight of things beyond his wildest imagination…or rather wildest horrors. He had watched as giant trunk shaped contraption fold around a human before sucking him into the wall. Lo’ak and Neteyam had later explained that these were the devices used by the Avatars to dream walk. Zhali could never erase how similar it had looked to the coffins that Jake had once described, the constricting box made to bury dead bodies.
Would they put Spider in there too? Or something else? Perhaps this first aid kit would be even worse.
No. He would not be returning to the outpost for those horrors. Zhali is more than capable of patching up the injuries and giving Spider the care he truly deserves.
“No need, come. I will take you home.” Zhali says while carefully helping the boy to finally sit up. Spider’s lips purse for a moment as if he is about to say something but he must have read that wrong because it disappears just as quickly as it came and the small tawtute remains silent.
It is, however, when Zhali easily lifts the male into his arms that Spider strings together a nervous onslaught of objections.
“Oh woah, hey it’s ok. I can walk. I-I’m not really that hurt-”
Lightning strikes across the night sky. Thunder is quick to follow and by the sounds of deep rumbling, Zhali is confident that the storm is only about to get worse. Spider squeaks when he is easily lifted onto the direhorse without response. The other male makes quick work of sliding in behind him and reconnecting tsaheylu before the direhorse becomes too freaked out by the tawtute’s presence. It’s almost second nature to slip his forearms securely around Spider’s waist, keeping him safely atop the creature.
He can feel the boy shiver in his embrace, but it’s difficult to tell whether it is from his touch or the relentless onslaught of rain.
“Thanks.” Spider’s mumble barely rings audible over the storm’s fury. The small sound still manages to bring a smile to Zhali’s face as he nods back in recognition and they begin their journey back towards the village.
Despite the fact that Spider is conscious and not nearly as injured as he could’ve been, he is anxious to get the human to the healer’s tent as soon as possible. This urgency only increases when he can physically feel the boy’s body shaking like a leaf in the wind. His arm tightens around the small male, hoping to let some of his own natural body heat transfer over to him. It’s disconcerting to see how easily a little tawtute can be affected by the elements. It  serves as another reminder of how fragile the pretty boy truly is. It’s easy to forget at times when Spider is swinging from branches like a monkey, but now all he can see in his mind’s eyes is the replay of his small body tumbling down the steep decline helplessly.
It’s then that Zhalie remembers the cloak he has packed away by the saddle. He manages to wrap the thick fabric around both of them. It covers Spider completely and to the male’s delight he finds that the human curls up against his warm chest. He’s satisfied to find that this solution keeps the pelting rain from attacking Spider any further.
Zhali is made for these types of elements but he can only imagine how Spider’s small fragile body could be reacting to such harsh conditions. He makes a mental note to learn more about human anatomy in the coming days. Perhaps Lo’ak could arrange some sort of meeting with one of the remaining medical Sky Demons at the outpost. He hates the smell of chemicals and sterilized metal there but it would be preferable to the real feeling of inadequacy he has now.
To his horror Zhali finds that the pathway to Tshaik’s tents has already eroded into a rushing stream and the tent itself is completely abandoned. He checks in with the Olo’eyktan over the throat comm and comes to find that Mo’at has fled to higher ground with the injured and sick to wait out the storm. With Spider barely conscious in his curled up position against him, Zhali decides that the only logical course of action is to bring the boy back to his kelku for the night.
No matter, there are sure to be enough supplies at his home to patch Spider up and take care of him before the condition gets worse.
Or at least, that is what he mentally assures himself over and over again until they reach the trunk of his kelku.
Zhali is forced to let Spider crawl up the trunk himself as the tawtute is less than willing to let himself be carried again. He considers overriding this decision but he figures it’s already lucky enough that the blonde hasn’t insisted on being dropped off at the outpost instead. He takes the tender mercy in stride and makes sure to be below the boy in case he manage to slip, constantly ready to catch him if needs be.
Zhali is in full action mode as he goes about efficiently securing the waterproof drapes. Spider hangs back, awkwardly standing in the middle of the room. Once the task is finished he turns around to find the boy’s arms wrapped around himself, seemingly curling up in on himself as trembles still wrack his body. It is such stark contrast to the usual confident and sassy demeanor that Spider upholds. Whether it is from the cold or the slightly traumatic situation, Zhali vows to coax the boy into being at ease as soon as possible.
“I-it’s nice.” Spider manages to mumble out before audibly clearing his throat. Those hazel eyes roam over the darkened room as Zhali makes quick work of building a small fire and setting a pot of water over to warm. His own eyes stray from the fire to recall what state his kelku has been left in. Luckily, he has always had a knack for organization and creating a cozy environment in his home. Still, there is no saying what a Sky Person considers to be cozy when it comes to decor. He prays to Eywa that Spider’s preferences are not aligned with that of the suffocating and hard steel in the human outpost.
“Thank you.”
Spider tries to hide the wince that graces his features when he rolls his shoulder, but even in the dim glow of a fire, Zhali can clearly see the distress.
“Come. You are bleeding.” He motions Spider forward and luckily the boy does not protest.
Spider does, however, hesitate as those hazel eyes scan over the empty span thoughtfully. Zhali starts to think something is wrong but then it dawns on him. The boy’s body is speckled with mud and blood. Spider seems all too aware of this as he carefully squats over the clean woven floor.
Of course this must be just Spider’s way of trying to be a polite guest while in his home, but it frustrates Zhali more than he expects. The beautiful human squats over the woven material as if he is unworthy to touch it. This behavior extends to all aspects of their encounter in the space as Spider is more than cautious to let himself enjoy any of the comforting ambience that Zhali has created in the space. He creeps into the area like an intruder, waiting to be shooed away.
And it breaks Zhali’s heart. It shatters him to pieces to think that Spider would ever act in such a way when his presence alone is something to be celebrated. It’s borderline disappointing to think that Zhali has spent all this time over the past few weeks slowly preparing his kelku to become a welcoming place that Spider would be enticed to call his own someday, just for the boy to shy away from associating with it.
“Sit.” Zhali puts a little more intensity behind the words than intended. He mentally curses at himself when Spider flinches in response but the human is already setting himself down gently.
“The bleeding isn’t that bad.” Spider claims, but how would he know when the injury stretches across his right shoulder blade?
Zhali goes to see for himself, reaching his enormously large hands towards the small creature, but then he pauses.
“May I check?”
He idly notices that Spider’s breathing is no longer fogging up the glass of his mask? Has he stopped breathing? Was there something wrong with it? Oh Eywa, how does one fix that little thing if there is?
“Yeah.”
The response is more of a puff of air than real words. Zhali allows himself to breathe now.
Settling behind Spider feels natural and oddly comforting. He enjoys the way his body is haunched over the small blonde, as if he could create a Na’vi shield over the boy if any danger were to arise. The idea strokes his male pride for a moment until he remembers that he failed to shield Spider earlier. When…when he…
“How did this happen?”
“Well it was….you see….” Spider struggles before finally sagging with a sigh. “I fell.” Defeat is apparent in his tone.
Zhali can not decide if he finds this explanation better or worse than the images he had conjured up. The thought of thanator claws scraping at the small being was terrifying, but then again, is it not more concerning to see that a simple fall is all it takes to injure him? This beautiful tawtute truly is so fragile. A simple misstep is all it would take to put him in danger.
Spider appears to be thinking the same thing, but if the red cheeks and deep frown are anything to go by, it’s embarrassment rather than fear that rises to the surface.
“Tawtute, this cut is deep. From how high did you tumble?” He tries his best to clean the cut with the rag as gently as possible, monitoring every flinch and shudder that ripples through Spider.
“My bow got stuck up in the canopy. Thought I could get it down.”
“It is still there?”
Spider nods.
“We will get it in the morning.” Zhali concludes smoothly as he dips the soft cloth back into the now warmed water. He checks it against his own skin first. The male may not know much about human anatomy but it’s clear that their response to the elements is more dramatic than his own. He would hate to accidentally expose the boy to any more harsh temperatures for the night. Once it is sufficiently clear that the rag is at a soothingly warm degree, he begins to glide it over Spider’s back.
“Thanks I uh…I was kind of clumsy I guess. You don’t have to come with me in the morning though, I’m sure I can manage a bit better this time.” Spider rambles.
“I will not if you wish not for my company.”
“No no, it’s not that.” Zhali peeks around the boy’s shoulder easily, braids swinging down as he openly observes the male’s expression. Spider’s turn a brighter shade of pink. Zhali finds he quite likes that shade. “Of course I would love for you to come. I just uh don’t want to make you go out of your way for me.”
“You are never out of the way, Spider.” He sighs, tail curling in irritation. He shouldn’t need to make that clear, especially after efforts he has started towards his courtship. “You are the way.”
He surveys the boy’s expression, but without twitching ears and a moving tail to give him away, it feels impossible to sense the shift in emotion there. He slowly retreats, not wanting to scare him off any more with the staring, but he lingers just long enough to see Spider catch his bottom lip between those blunt teeth. It’s a cute habit that Zhali has noticed from him, but one that he is still trying to understand fully.
It’s obvious what his own response to the action is as his tewng grows uncomfortable, but that does little to help him decode Spider. Not to mention it makes him feel like an untrained teenager all over again, drooling at just about anything.
“Spider.”
He feels the boy straighten underneath his hands.
“Yeah?”
“What is your favorite color?”
“What?”
Zhali is pleased to find that the area around the wound is finally clean and ready for bandaging.
“Color. What is your favorite color?” He repeats. Spider only flinches slightly as he begins to lay the leaves covered in ointment over the small wound. He has to rip them into small pieces a few times so they don’t cover the whole expanse of Spider’s back. Doing so, however, draws his attention to the rest of the boy’s muddied and artificially stripped skin. Long fingers itch to reach for the warm rag again.
“I um…I don’t know. Never really thought about it before.”
Zhali’s eyebrows knit together. He is soon regretting his decision to sit behind the tawtute where he can’t even depend on the minor fluctuations of his small facial expressions for context. His tail thumps against the woven floor incidentally, but at least Spider can’t see that. When the urge becomes too strong, Zhali hesitantly starts running the warm cloth over the rest of Spider’s back.
“What do you say when people ask?” He takes Spider’s lack of flinching as a token of permission, scrubbing the dirt away from his tan skin with the gentlest touch he can muster. It’s interesting to see the way his skin turns a light pink after only a few strokes of the warm rag. It appears that Sky People’s skin is extremely sensitive and expressive to every substance it comes in contact with. He is pleased however to see that Spider’s muscles have begun to relax underneath each stroke and the shaking of his body has puttered out to a small vibration.
“Well I don’t think anyone has ever asked me before to be honest.” Spider tries to slip in a small laugh but it’s strained. Those tiny four fingered hands come to gather his dreads and push them to the side before fondling them absently.
Of course he knows that Lo’ak didn’t know the boy’s favorite color but for no one to ask? Never? By Eywa, what do the strange scientists at the lab that supposedly raised this male talk to him about? The negligence is infuriating and yet Zhali knows he shouldn’t be surprised. From the interactions he has seen between them, Norm acts more like a close friend than anything resembling a parental figure.
Spider pauses, head tilted as he ponders the question.
“I suppose red is not a bad one. Like the red from sunsets.”
Zhali’s lips turn down.
“Not green.” Disappointment lays heavy in his stomach, He should’ve known better than to trust Lo’ak as his source of information.
“Green? Oh you mean cause of the loincloth. It doesn’t really-” Spider cuts himself off, turning silent as he looks down.
Zhali’s ear perk forehead, wondering if he has somehow missed the end of that sentence.
“Shit.” Spider whispers to himself.
Peering over the boy’s golden dreads, Zhali finally finds the source of Spider’s silence. A jagged rip through the side of the loincloth.
“Fuck I- Damnit, I didn’t realize and now….” Spider hunches forward inspecting it frantically.  “I’ve ruined it. All for my stupid fucking bow.” He grits out. “You worked so hard on it and I-”Spider gulps, voice heavy with emotion.
“I will make another one.”
“No no, you shouldn’t have to…..I-I’m sorry.”
Zhali catches sight of glimmering tears welding over the boy’s eyes, ones that he refuses to shed. His heartbeat picks up more erratically when Spider allows his dreads to form a curtain over his face.
“Spider, it is fine. I will make a new one. This time red.” As it should have been from the beginning. This would be his chance to redeem himself and give Spider the courting gift he truly deserved. Hesitantly he reaches out to sweep that golden hair away but Spider reels back.
“Another one? N-no I cant ask that. It’s my fault I ruined it…it was…”
“The wrong color. I understand, tawtute.”
“No no no it….it was fucking perfect.” Spider sniffles and more than anything Zhali wishes he could see the boy properly, get that damn mask out of the way so he could wipe away the tears. “The nicest thing anyone has ever done for me.” It’s whispered so soft and reverant that the Na’vi almost questions whether or not he heard it properly.
It would be easier not to believe it.
Easier to believe that there were greater gestures the boy has received over the years than some simple pieces of clothing.
Zhali shifts  forward, boldly sweeping the hair away so he can clearly see Spider’s sparkling eyes.
“You deserve so much more than this.” He can see the boy’s lungs still with air. “So much more than a courting gift in the wrong color. More than a simple garment that pales in comparison to your beauty.” Spider’s blunt teeth naw at those soft pink lips. “More than jewels and bracelets. More than all the beauties of Pandora combined.”
It’s as if the boy is frozen in time, air no longer passing through those lips. It’s borderline impossible to understand if this is a good or bad sign, but the truth is bursting from the seams, no longer willing to be kept prisoner.
“You deserve a mate that will care for you. One that truly sees you.” Zhali catches a golden strand, tucking it behind Spider’s ear. Oh how he wishes to bury his face in that hair, to fully let the beautiful tawtute’s scent to sink in.
His stomach twists into a bundle of knots but the words come regardless.
“I see you, Spider.”
Silence stretches between them but Spider’s eyes remain trained on him, pupils blown wide and breath stilled. A new form of anxiety settles itself as the seconds pass without a clear breath coming from him.
“You do not have to say anything. I have only begun courting you after all. I simply thought you should kno-”
Spiders cuts him off with a shake of his head, breath finally exhaled. Nothing, however, matches the horror Zhali feels as the boy reaches to lift his mask.
“No Spider-” He catches his wrist.
“It’s ok.” Spider gently pries the hand from his wrist before taking a deep breath in.
The mask is carefully slipped from his face but Spider gives him a reassuring smile when he spots the concern written over Zhali’s face. And then, the space between them decreases slowly, the boy’s face inching closer to his own until their noses brush. Those big doe eyes flicker between his own heated gaze and lips.
The first point of contact is hesitant and slow, but there is a certain tenderness to that gentle swipe of lips. Spider’s lips are so much smaller than his own, but ever so soft. So many moments have led to this one but his heart continues to race, ever so worried about hurting the small tawtute.
It is Spider, however, that pushes it forward, small tongue swiping at his bottom lip. Zhali allows him. He gives the boy of his dreams access, gives him the world because there is nothing else he can manage to do, not when his wildest fantasies are coming true. Leisurely they each explore one another and melt into the kiss.
He cups Spider face tenderly, hands easily covering each side of his head. He even allows his fingers to softly explore through the sunshine mane. Spider’s hands are more cautious, but every area they trace over has Zhali’s tail swinging back and forth exuberantly.
In some ways this kiss is nothing in comparison to the other sexual rendezvous Zhali has experienced and yet it feels more intimate. Like finally having access to a beautiful masterpiece kept behind glass for so long. Finally getting to cherish Spider’s beautiful face instead of observing from a distance.
At the first jerk of Spider’s chest, Zhali sternly repositions the mask over his face. His emotions swirl from pure elation to trepidation as he waits to hear that first breath.
Spider lets out a small gasp for air, cheeks tinting as his chest expands and caves rapidly. Hands on the boy’s thighs, Zhali leans forward, eyes darting across the mysterious mask to make sure it is working properly.
“Can you breathe?” He reaches forward to mess with the contraption, not that he has any idea how but he can’t help himself.
“Yeah yeah…I can.” Spider lets out an airy laugh. “Well, mostly.”
Zhali’s frown deepens urgency increasing but then he notices that dazed smile over the boy’s face. The giddy look in his eyes as that beautiful blush paints his cheeks once more.
“It’s ok It’s ok.” Spider laughs, small hands prying Zhalil’s own off the mask. “I’m alright. Just a little overwhelmed.”
“You promise, sevin?” Zhali sweetly pushes a few dreads away from Spider’s face, eyes studying him intently.
Once again Zhali watches in awe as that tan skin quickly shifts to a darker shade of red, even traveling over Spider’s collarbones and chest. He follows that blossom of color downwards, eyes caught on the boy’s small nipples now perked in the cool air. He doesn’t try to hide the ogling, not now that the truth is out.
“Y-yes.” Spider stutters.
“Good.” He breathes out, but his hands are already gliding over the soft skin of Spider’s sides. He takes in every reaction like a gift. The way the tawtute shivers when his ribcage is brushed, the way that blush only intensifies with Zhali’s darkening gaze, the way his nipples pebble under his long fingers as if they are aching to be touched.
For so long Spider has been forbidden fruit. For even longer Zhali has dreamed of how this beautiful creature would feel in his hands, the sounds he could draw from him. Sitting here feels like a dream, one beyond his wildest imagination when a small groan escapes Spider.
One hand dares to grip the boy’s left hip while the other swirls over one hardening nipple. Without a tail or ears it can be hard to read Spider but even Zhali can recognize the restraint his beautiful tawtute exhibits as his hips twitch and chest heaves.
Spider’s eyes stray away from the intimate points of contact when Zhali leans forward to rest his temple against his. Breath fogs up the glass.
“Spider”
“Yes?” He whispers.
“Let me take care of you.”
Spider’s thick lashes flutter rapidly as he visibly gulps.
“But I….w-why?” He stutters, as if unable to process the concept.
“Because you deserve it, sevin.” He squeezes his hip gently as Spider stares at him with big hazel eyes. A color that he could easily get lost in. Ones that goes greatly with Spider’s now swollen pink lips.
He has never been so desperate to please such a beautiful being.
“Let me make you feel good, yawne.” Spider’s eyes flutter closed when the Na’vi rakes his longer fingers through his hair. “Please, yawntutsyip.”
Spider melts in the touch, letting the Na’vi cradle the back of his head.
“Let me show you how I’d take care of you if you’d be mine.” His softly scratches along his scalp, delighting in the way Spider’s small form goes slack.
A new spice intertwines with Spider’s scent, filling Zhali’s lungs until it has become his own personal drug.
“Sevin?”
“Y-yes yes, ok yeah I-I…yes.” Spider exhales, words tumbling together.
Zhali grins.
Tumblr media
Spider is sure he’s hallucinating. So sure that somewhere in that fall he hit his head a little too hard and now suffers from delusions. It’s the only explanation he has to explain how this god of a Na’vi has decided to please him. The only way he can comprehend not only being allowed in his kelku but furthermore have those sharp teeth tracing over his abs.
Looking down at the male who kisses and nips at his body like it’s art made just for him, Spider is content to let this hallucination continue. He will spend the rest of his life in this dream if it means staying cradled in his arms, if it means feeling that hot tongue explore his body intimately.
True intimacy can be hard to come by for Spider.
Kiri tries and Jake will occasionally ruffle his hair but it does little to satiate what he really needs. Now, however, seems to be the worst time to realize how touch starved he is. It’s embarrassing how difficult it is to keep himself from squirming or God forbid even bucking up into every touch and kiss.
It’s worse than being a teenager in his hammock trying to get himself off. At least then he was in the privacy of his own company but Zhali’s touch is like lightning in comparison to his own. His hands are so much larger that when the Na’vi goes to cup his head or slink down his chest, it covers the expanse easily.
It’s when Zhali pushes him down with a hand to his chest that Spider realizes he might be into their size difference more than he anticipated.
Neck craning to watch Zhali litter kisses along his lower abdomen, he burns in mortification when he spots his own boner through the green loincloth. He wants to believe that Zhali has not noticed this before but even he knows that Na’vi have greatly enhanced senses.
Fuck, he most likely already can smell his arousal, let alone see it.
His blunt teeth sink into his bottom lip harder as he holds back the jumble of moans that threaten to break loose.
It’s pathetic.
Already in adulthood and yet all it takes for him to rut like a hormonal teenager are a few well placed kisses and bites.
Open mouthed kisses are meticulously placed along his v line until he has reached his right hip. Something sharp draws along his skin and Spider sees the  Na’vi’s teeth bared. Their eyes connect for a moment and it appears to be all the confirmation that Zhali requires before he takes the plush flesh into his mouth and sucks hard.
A shocked cry falls from Spider’s lips as his back arches.
Pain and pleasure dance together in symphony when those impressive teeth come into play. What has his legs shaking, however, is the knowledge that it will leave a mark. Even humans know what such a display means.
A marking to show he is being courted.
A marking to show that he is wanted and desired by a male prospect.
“Am I hurting you, sevin?”
It takes a moment for the words to register.
“Wh- oh no no. You’re not.”
“Hm, good.” Looking up through his lashes Zhali keeps their gazes pinned as he lays a tender kiss over the new mark. Those lips skate over his skin until reaching the intricate ties of his loincloth.
Hands holding the male’s thighs apart, Zhali carefully secures a tie between his teeth and begins to pull. Watching that knot unravel feels like the longest seconds of Spider’s life. He isn’t sure if he needs it to speed up or slow down because his brain can hardly process what is to come.
It isn’t his first time being bare before a Na’vi. Admittedly, other Na’vi, even among the Metkayina have had their curiosity sparked by Spider. Some shuffled him away with a rushed exploration and desperate touching that became all the sex life Spider had ever known. However, those had only left him unsatisfied and lonely again at the end of the night.
This is different, however.
Zhali, although curious, doesn’t explore him for his own pleasure but rather Spider’s.
He takes in every new discovery and change like a masterpiece meant to be worshiped. He watches for the slightest flinch to signal a change and the smallest twitches of pleasure to indicate what spikes the boy’s pleasure.
And when the silky loincloth falls away, the same one that Zhali had spent weeks carefully crafting especially for him, he doesn’t rush to grip or stroke. His heated gaze is the first thing to caress him, and then his voice.
“So magnificent, my tawtute.”
Spider can already feel himself trembling. This new emotion bubbling forward does not make it easier to gather restraint, to stop himself from appearing like a desperate lonely fool in front of this gorgeous man.
Zhali kisses right next to the base and Spider forces himself to look away.
This gentle worship does things to him that he could never have imagined and therefore could never have prepared for. He can’t watch this any longer without losing the reins.
He can feel himself twitch as soft kisses are placed one by one around the base until every inch has been covered. Toes curling, Spider attempts to slow down his heartbeat.
“Spider”
“Huh?”
He peaks to find Zhali looking up at him, large golden orbs taking in every flinch in his expression.
“I am not hurting you?” He checks again.
“No no, of course not.” Spider chokes out, ears growing hot at the tremor in his voice.
“Hm, I see.” He hums before his fingertips start drawing soft patterns over his hips. “You are tense, sevin.”
His stomach flips.
“Fuck, yeah I know, I-I’m sorry. I understand if-”
Zhali hushes him sweetly, crawling forward to cup his face once more.
“Spider,” His name from Zhali’s lips sounds like a song. “Do you want this?”
He doesn’t enjoy how fast he is nodding his head.
“Yes. I do, shit yeah I do. I’ll keep it together, I'm sorry.”
Zhali is shaking his head before he can even finish the sentence.
“Sevin, do not apologize.” Zhali’s slim tail wraps itself around his calf and Spider has to hide the tremor along his lips. “I only need one thing from you.”
Spider gulps, leaning forward and ready to take the criticism.
“I need you to relax.”
Spider flushes, fighting back the urge to gulp down the knot in his throat.
“Yeah o-okay.”
Zhali is less than convinced but a warm smile crosses his lips. His fingers intertwine with the boy’s hair once more before he is raking them through those golden locks. The reaction is immediate, pleasurable shivers dissipating through Spider’s body.
Never before had he realized how sensitive he is to this gesture but now with those gentle movements massaging his scalp, Spider feels like he could melt into molten gold. Zhali runs his face along the curve of his neck, marking him with his scent.
The hand in his hair is used to tilt Spider’s head back and give him better access. A breath wooshes from the boy’s lungs.
“Just focus on what you feel, sevin.”
Soft lips lay a kiss behind his ear.
“What feels good,” Zhali continues.
Another kiss, this time to his pulse point.
“What feels different.”
Zhali’s textured tongue drags along his skin languidly. Spider hardly registers his own groan as he lets his weight fall into the Na’vi embrace.
“What you want more of.”
When the male begins sucking a hickey into the side of his neck, Spider can no longer keep a cap on his noises. A string of whines and moans fall from his lips as he finds rest in the moment. Eyes closed and mouth agape, he forgets where he is.
He forgets who he is.
He forgets who he is not.
And Spider lets each exhilarating sensation guide his decisions.
“Good boy.” Zhali whispers warmly against his pulse, licking over the mark to soothe.
His hands firmly run down Spider’s sides, squeezing it greedily until his presence can not be forgotten. Taking control of every curve and line, Zhali plays him like an instrument. Spider lays back against the matt, golden hair creating a crown around him. Hazel eyes dilate before fluttering closed when soft kisses are left along his inner thighs.
Sounds erupt from him that Spider doesn’t recognize when Zhali’s tongue begins exploring his length. His body buzzes with a new energy, nerves a lit with every swoop and swirl of that talented tongue.
And even though his hips twitch in silent request for more, Spiders swears that he could live in the moment forever.
“Such beautiful sounds, oeyä tawtute.”
The compliment floods his cheeks and tugs at his chest. There is no longer room for self doubt as praises fall freely between the beautiful exploration of Zhali’s mouth. Every concern is hushed before it can fully bloom.
“You taste so good, sevin. Don’t know how I went without you for so long.”
And then warmth encases his member in a rush. Zhali sucks his cock with such enthusiasm and vigor that it becomes difficult to see which partner enjoys themselves more.
But it’s him.
Spider is sure it is him.
He knows that there is no other Na’vi or human out there that feels the things he is feeling, that reaches such heights of ecstasy and passion in one night. He can’t fathom anyone else knowing the warmth, pleasure, and relief that washes over him.
Nose to the boy’s navel, Zhali swirls his tongue around the boy’s base, easily able to take all of Spider within the warm cavern of his mouth. Spider’s hands shoot down and grab the Na’vi’s tied hair without thought. His fingers grip and tug at the neat bun until strands start to fall loose.
“Oh fuck!” He shouts, blunts nails digging into his scalp.
Zhali pulls back until his lips are sealed around only the bulbous tip. The point of his tongue runs over the slit brashly and Spider yanks on his hair. The action is rewarded with a carnal moan, the vibrations rocketing through the boy.
Zhali likes to watch. Spider can feel those eyes trained on him without reprieve, no matter which way he squirms and bucks. At some point he feels strong hands pin his hips to the ground, forcing him to take the pleasure in its entirety.
Spider isn’t used to the attention.
He isn’t used to the way Zhali mentally tracks his reactions and the actions associated with them.
He isn’t used to the honey eyes drinking in the sight of him.
But most of all, he isn’t used to being the center of attention.
It breaks him into a thousand pieces.
His climax crashes so hard into him that his small hands search for something to ground him. They circle around Zhali’s kuru tugging as he spills into the male’s mouth.
The sound that erupts from Zhali is unlike anything Spider has ever heard from him. So far from the polite, organized and formal male that he has known. It rings forth with a raspy texture and a deep serenade that sets his world on fire.
Not a drop is wasted and Zhali doesn’t release his twitching length until Spider is pushing back his head.
He falls limp against the mat, bowl pupils staring up at the world in a daze. He can briefly sense the careful precision Zhali takes to kiss every mark before running a warm cloth over him but it’s background noise to the symphony playing in his head.
“Thank you, sevin.”
That deep voice now with a raspy tint weaves into his consciousness as Spider revels in the tingling aftershock running through his body. He can only manage a lazy smile when Zhali comes up to check on him.
“Just give me….give one minute and then I….I can help.” He manages to get out between pants. Zhali’s brows furrow until he sees the boy eyeing his tented loincloth.
“You have done more than help today, tawtute. Given me more than I could have asked for.” And he grins so sincerely that Spider can’t fathom how the male could feel this way. In every sexual interaction he has had, there was always a return of the favor, that is assuming Spider finished in the first place. But Zhali looks at him like he hung the moon, eyes glimmering in delight as he wipes him down with a warm cloth.
“You…you don’t want me to touch you?”
Zhali traces idle lines over Spider abs happily.
“Of course I do, but how would that serve the proper purpose? I am courting you.” Zhali stands and begins preparing the hammock for them. He arranges extra pillows and blankets that Spider has never seen other Na’vi have before. In fact, there is a great deal of influence from Sky People culture present in the male’s kelku. Things that only a human would find necessary.
Before he can protest, Spider is carried carefully to the hammock and laid across the Na’vi chest. He tucks a blanket around the boy’s hips, making sure it isn’t too tight but still brings the wet tawtute some warmth.
“Although, I admit. This is out of order. It was supposed to be step twelve but do not worry. I will make sure not to skip over any. Fourteen steps to go.” He nods firmly, lips perking upwards.
Spider’s brain sputters, head still fuzzy from the best orgasm of his life. Tonight feels like a dream, an absolute horny amazing romantic dream that his subconscious has whipped up. He can barely process the night’s turn of events, let alone this handsome male wanting to go through an extensive courting process all for him.
“Fourteen? You….but…that is so much.”
Zhali’s hairless brows furrow.
“It’s hardly enough, sevin. It’s important that you have enough proof of my ability to provide, protect, and love before you make your choice. So you can weigh your options.”
As if he has other options.
Who would surpass this?
Who has ever even tried?
Zhali continues to run his fingers through the human’s hair as he sighs happily, watching as Spider shifts closer.
“I do not expect an answer now, sevin. But hopefully tonight is a start to convincing you.”
Rain pelting down on the kelku and wrapped in this amazing man’s arms, Spider’s eyes fill with tears again.
To call it convincing would be an understatement.

Sacred Waters, Sacred Hearts Chapter 1

A/N : Both Rukan and reader are in their mid 20's

Tumblr media
Another night approaches as multiple moons emerge from the waves. I adjust my mask, ensuring it's sealed to my cheeks, as I shuffle off my light shawl, leaving just my wetsuit and waterproof tablet. The morning winds nip at my exposed skin, and I make haste into the reef, gracefully submerging myself and diving down to the reef bed to escape the chill of the evening.
I was one of the last marine biologists left on Pandora after the fall of the Omatikaya's Hometree, yet by the grace of Eywa I was taken into her embrace and was allowed to live amongst the flora and fauna. I now reside on the coastline a couple hours from the Metkayina settlements; respecting the ocean-dwelling Navi immensely, I made sure to leave them alone and stay in my small corner of the ocean; content with just researching and documenting the underwater flora and fauna. Though I may seem isolated here on my lonesome I do make frequent calls to Norm and Max to update their data files, ordering human supplies or just for a chat yet sometimes I yearn for someone else to share my experiences with...
Weaving through bioluminescent kelp, flippers boost me through the currents I glide to a halt and unsheathe my switchblade to harvest some vegetation and check on the coral's health. Happy with the healthy flora and the harvest I document photos for my log and bask in the temperate waters. I smile at the stillness from the ocean bed, turning onto my back and gazing up through the water's surface, mesmerised by the reflection of light shimmering across the lapping waves from below.
Eventually, my lungs begin to burn yearning for oxygen, and I move to breach the surface, breaking the water tension my mask immediately intakes the Pandoran air and swiftly converts it to plain oxygen. As I catch my breath, I watch Ilu ride the waves and birds dive into the ocean to nab up small fish for their dinner. My stomach rumbles at the through and my mind drifts back to the edible vegetation in my pouch, I paddle back to shore and squeeze the water from my hair before I begin stoking a fire to roast my own dinner.
Time gets away from me as I continue to do tasks onshore like chopping wood and transferring files into the databank. My thoughts are disturbed by a shrill ring, Norm's contact blaring from my tablet. I quickly accept it as Norm appears on the screen; giving a curt wave before he started speaking.
"Hey (Y/n), how are you? Hope I didn't catch you at a bad time, but I have a favour to ask." He rambles, arms gesturing awkwardly.
"Uh, nah I'm not doing much; how can I help ya Norm?" I say absent-mindedly as I continue weaving a new blanket, preparing for the cooler weather.
"Mo'at needs some specific medicinal herbs, but they can only be found in the deeper parts of the reef bed. Considering you're now quite an adept diver I thought to ask you first before connecting with the Metkayina traders."
"Oh yeah no problem, I'll duck out in a moment and get that heading your way no problem" I smile as I stand to pull my wetsuit back on from its drying rack.
Norm rubs his nape and bows his head in gratitude "I can't thank you enough (Y/n) just text me when you're done so I can send someone out there to collect the goods"
"Easy, I'll get back to you soon, but if you don't hear back by tomorrow afternoon assume I drowned" I laugh in jest.
I watch as Norm scrunches his face in horror "Don't make me come over there for a welfare check buddy, because I will! I swear it." Norm sighs exasperated by my words wagging his finger to the camera.
"Oh, I'm just kidding Normie; have some faith in me will ya." I giggle as I slip the thick fabric up my torso, Navi stripes adorn the fabric, mimicking the Metkayina's camouflage.
"How many times have I asked you to quit it with the 'Normie'…" Norm scolds but it holds no venom at all. "Look, you better update me straight away ok! I got to go; Max needs some help in the lab, see ya (Y/n)." He waves and disconnects as I wave goodbye myself.
I release a sigh as I take a final note of all the things I need and make sure my mask is free from damage as I set out. I walk out of the airlock to the edge of the mangroves and leap into the deeper portion, my vision is hindered by a myriad of bubbles for a moment before settling down, I begin the descent into the sandbank, I had no need for a flashlight due to the high concentration of bioluminescence, I glide through the waters and corals with ease and gradually letting some oxygen in through my air tank, I only used it for longer expeditions as I like to train my lung capacity.
I swim further from my base, lowering my altitude as I dive into a stunning deep cave. I spotted the herbs; it looked like sea moss; excellent in curing skin ailments when ground into a salve. I push faster through the currents and into the jagged coral formation that the moss grew on, not seeing the signature Metkayina markers for a protected area... I peeled it from its roots and placed it into a leather pouch, deeming it enough I turned to make my way back out, but I was stunned into silence as a massive shadow passed by the gaps in the coral.
It was an Akula…a massive shark-like beast who not even the Navi deem as a friend. My lungs constricted as I limited agitating the water around me. I waited with bated breath as the Akula swam circles around the exit, I peered timidly out as I no longer detect its presence. So, I make the decision to slowly rise to the entrance of the cave. I make the dash, but the Akula notices the disruption and flings itself in my direction, a terrified gargle escapes my throat as I weave hastily through the outcrops narrowly avoiding its snapping jaws.
In my adrenaline-fueled state, I didn't notice another join the fray. Until a muffled roar is heard from the Akula as it flees back deeper into the cave system. I burrow myself into the coral hiding from my painful death as I go to release more oxygen into my mask, my hands fumble with a pierced tube and my eyes widen in realisation.
My oxygen supply is drained and I'm so far from the surface.
My panic only spikes further as piercing blue eyes peer down at me cuddled up in the coral like a child.
It was a Metkayina patroller, he was mounted on an Ilu as he scowled in my direction, his rapid signing not going unnoticed.
I gingerly raise my hand and sign 'I mean no harm. I'm with the Omaticaya, gathering medicinal herbs for our injured, but can you help me to the surface I need to breathe…'
He shook his head frustrated but for a moment I could see the disbelief in his eyes at my fluency. 'You do not belong here tawtute, let alone in a protected area, go back to the forest.' But his eyes soften when he sees me start to go blue, my eyes pleading as I point to the surface. He sighs exasperated as he snatches my arm and hauls me into his chest atop his Ilu, jetting to the surface. My vision gets splotchy as we break the water, my mask luckily taking in the air again with no issue.
As I fill my strained lungs again, I'm abruptly shoved off the Ilu and dunk under momentarily pouting as I surface and gazing up at the Navi with a smug look on his face. He points his finger at me.
"Do not touch tawtute, it is a protected site and you're too close to the village" he states, shaking his head. "Go" He states his finned arm pointing back to shore.
"Sorry I didn't see the marker, I'll stay away, promise." I put up my pinky finger momentarily before realising he wouldn't know what it meant. He leans back, a hairless brow raising in suspicion.
"Silly tawtute…" He mutters under his breath before urging again "I'll accompany you home just to make sure that Akula leaves you be. I don't want your pitiful death on my conscience." He states "But you're swimming yourself…"
I laugh "Fine by me" I say before setting back on course. I paddle on the water's surface beside the Metkayina on his Ilu, swimming in silence for most of the way. I'm broken out of my thoughts as his words pierce the silence.
"What are those on your feet…" He questioned, with an ounce of curiosity evident in his tone. I gaze back for a moment checking for any foreign matter.
"Flippers. Helps me swim faster and easier, kind of how your feet and tail help you through the water." I say casually, lifting one from the water to flaunt it with a smile, his face scrunching up as water flicks him in the face.
"I see…" His words were cut short as my home was spotted over the water. Nestled into the mangroves and covered in my hand-woven cloths and netting.
"Well, here's my stop" I sigh as I pull myself up into the mangroves and onto the net platforming.
A curious hum leaves his throat as he gazes at my abode. "Looks somewhat like our villages… yet so tawtute." He mumbles scratching at his nape.
Honestly, over the past hour, I have grown fondness for this Navi. I can't help but blurt out "(Y/n)." His eyes shoot to me confused. "My name… it's uh (Y/n)" I state my cheeks flushing.
"(Y/n)…" He takes a moment letting my name digest "Rukan…" he replies before abruptly diving on his Ilu and swimming off in the direction of the village.
"Rukan…. What a nice name" I smile before heading inside to preserve the moss and notifying Norm of a successful expedition.

Little Gifts

AVATAR MASTERLIST Part 1 | Part 2
Tumblr media
Here you are, holding out your arms with a slice of vanilla cake in your hands. You had that goofy smile that he hated so much, because it made him feel feelings he shouldn't have for you. He looked you over from head to toe, he could see you had a white spot on your face, your hair was a little messy. But you looked so happy to find him.
"You are dirty and disheveled" says Tsutey, his face is serious. He didn't know how he had gotten so close to you, or how you had gotten so close to him. After the great battle, he was badly wounded, but he knew that all his pain was worth it, most of the people in the sky were returned to their home planet. He was surprised when he found out that many humans who supported Pandora decided to stay on the planet. He knew this had to do with the new clan leader, toruk makto jake sully. But he was still grateful to be alive. And that's when he met you, you had become friends with mo'at very quickly. The woman had seen beyond your appearance, and saw the plans eywa had for you.
So she allowed you to help her with the injured. You were not very trusted by the navi, but you managed to get them to accept your help. Tsutey was lying down, badly wounded. But he had the pride of a warrior, so he had to be strong. You came up to him, with a smile from side to side. He didn't want to talk to you much, but he let you help him. And before you left, you gave him a piece of candy.
"Here" you offer him a candy. Tsutey stayed frozen, maybe you were trying to poison him or something. "Look" you open the candy and put it in your mouth and start eating it. As you pull another one out of your jacket pocket. "Here…to sweeten your life" you says as you take his hand and hand him the candy. He stands there, hand extended and looking at the candy. At night while no one was looking, he was tempted to try that rare food, and to his bad luck…he liked it.
From that moment on, you delivered small desserts to him from time to time. The humans had a small base near the village. So I used to meet you often, you used to go for a walk in the evenings, You liked to watch the pandora's wildlife, pet the passive animals and talk to the navi children. You would go and talk to mo'at about the herbs and medicines she used. Then you would find him and hand him a treat. He already knew your whole routine, he had studied you for many weeks. You were not troublesome, and you were a very quiet woman. He used to see you reading books in some corner, or looking for rocks for your 'rock friends collection'. He started to sit next to you and have long talks with you, he liked to talk to you. You had interesting topics, and you were fun.
"And that rock friends collection what is it?" he knew humans were weird, but this was too much. "Ahhhh I like to collect strange rocks, different colors and shapes. And then give them names. I don't know, it relaxes me" you say with a smile. He made a mental note, that if he found a rock he thought was strange he would give it to you.
For example, today in particular he was in a practice with some warriors, all of them were riding or feeding with their direhorse. He was distracted talking to one of his friends, until he signaled him to look back. As he turned around he saw you, you were approaching him, and you had something in your hands. He could see how his friends were approaching to watch the scene. No one knew that he had been building a friendship with a sky demon. And this was making him uncomfortable. You get close enough and raise your hands…offering him something that looked sticky, shiny and didn't smell bad. "Look…I made this for you" he could see how happy and excited you were to give him this gift.
"You are dirty and disheveled" says Tsutey, seeing how you were still smiling. "Well I've been preparing this cake all morning," you laugh a little nervously. Tsutey started to hear the comments and laughter of his colleagues and couldn't help but feel embarrassed. You noticed how his tail lowered, and his ears twitched, and how his face showed a look of concern and annoyance. You lowered your hands slowly, oh no, you had made him uncomfortable. "I'm sorry, I… I'd better go" you say as you walk away. Tsutey watches you walk away, as he laughs a little with his friends.
He felt bad for having refused your gift. But he didn't know how to react. It wasn't long before practice was over. Everyone was saying goodbye, Tsutey went ahead and went to that weird hut you humans had. He saw that the lights were on and that there were people inside. He approached slowly, it was the first time he was close. He didn't have much confidence, but he had to apologize to you.
One of the men saw the navi approaching and came out of the hut. "Excuse me…I don't want to disturb, but could I speak with Y/N" speaks Tsutey, he knew the language but didn't know how to sound formal, you had teach him a few things, but it was complicated. He watched as the man came in and called you by name. He was a bit far from the hut. He waited, until he saw you come out of it, he assumed you were upset and all. But he was surprised when he saw you, you had a smile on your face and ran to where he was.
"What are you doing here?" you ask him. "I come because of that…. I want to apologize to you for not accepting your gift" Tsutey says with a very erect posture. He saw how you smiled a little, but it was a smile of sadness. "You don't have to apologize…I know you told me not to talk to you when you were with company. So I'm the one who has to apologize" you speak, Tsutey can see how nervous you were, you were playing with your hands. "No, …. well yes, I know I said that. But I didn't mean to…" he didn't know what to say, he knew he told you that, because he didn't want the navi to know he was talking to a human. You two stood there in silence for a while. "Do you…do you want the present?" you look up to see his face, Tsutey agrees with his head and you go running to get the cake.
You get there as fast as you can and hand to him the cake, it was wrapped with a very pretty pink cloth, with strawberry designs. "That's a cake, it has flour, egg, sugar and other things. It is edible and sweet. I made it vanilla, so it wouldn't be weird for your taste " Tsutey watched as you explained everything to her, he could see how excited you were to have delivered your gift. Tsutey lifted the piece of cake and brought it up to his nose. Wow, this smelled wonderful. "Did you prepare it for me?" he asked. "Yes!!!" you laughed stupidly. "Thank you" Tsutey gives you a big smile. You had to admit, he had a charming smile. "Well… it's already that afternoon, try it and then tell me what you thought" you tell him as you say goodbye to him and walk towards the hut. He stood there for a while, until he decided to walk to his hut, when he got there he sat down and opened the cake wrapper and tasted it.
"This is delicious" he thought to himself, before he knew it, he had already eaten it all. He began to feel bad, you had prepared this for him, you were trying to feed him, you had been bringing him gifts for months… and he had rejected your offering. He didn't have to accept it if he wasn't interested, but he was very very interested. He had to find a way to reward you. If he didn't, he felt that eywa would not forgive him.

how do you think avatar characters will react to their human friends having piercings or tattoos ??
Tumblr media
how your avatar friends would react to you having tattoos/piercings!!
· ☁︎ ̩͙✧
ಌ neytiri: she’d ask what those weird things in your face are and what the drawings on your body are. after you explain what they are, she’s curious to touch them.
“what if you.. take off your mask for two seconds so i can touch them?” she raises her hand to take off your oxygen mask.
“no.. no, sweetie, i will die.” you day, gently putting her giant hand down.
she also likes to trace the patterns with her fingers when she’s bored.
ಌ lo’ak: he gets kinda jealous he doesn’t have any of his own. he def tries to pierce his own ear before getting seriously hurt and asking you for help.
“oh my god, lo’ak, were you trying to cut your earlobe off??”
“just fix it before my dad sees it! damn!”
he also draws on his own tattoos with clay (they rub off after one shower) and when you ask why they’re different after a day or two, he gets embarrassed and changes the subject.
ಌ neteyam: he loooves asking about what your tattoos mean. whether it’s a detailed story or a dumb tattoo, he likes heading your pov.
and unlike lo’ak, he asks if you can give him his own piercing because he knows he has no idea how they work..
“that nose one looks cool.”
“your dad is gonna hate it if you get a septum.. so maybe.”
ಌ kiri: shes squeamish so she thinks your piercings are a bit extreme and doesn’t like them much. all she can think of is needles punching through the skin and the blood and all that stuff.
“didn’t that hurt? i couldn’t sit still at all if someone did that to me.” she points to like the most basic piercing.
“i mean it hurt when i got it and it hurt while it healed, but not anymore. and also i chose to get it, you make it sound like i was strapped down.”
“ugh either way, it’s just- no.”
she likes your tattoos better and stares at them from time to time. her parents tell her “don’t get any ideas.”
ಌ tuk: she ADORESSS all your cool adornments. she tries to imitate them but doesn’t put together that she can stab holes her skin at first (unlike lo’ak)
she draws on herself with clay and clips feathers and charms to her ears but they fall off easily.
“they keep falling! how do yours stay on?”
“well, there’s a hole in my ears, see?”
“…oh i don’t want that.”
ಌ tsireya: since the matkayina already regularly get tattoos, she’s more surprised human can also get tattoos and it’s not just a na’vi thing.
“wow.. so you use the needle and ink too??”
“yeah!”
“and the hammer and stick?”
“hammer?!”
she’s also surprised to hear your pain when getting tattoos was less intense than when people in her clan get tattoos.
ಌ ao’nung: he acts like he’s uninterested in your tattoos and piercings.
“almost everyone in the clan has that.”
“but does anyone in your clan have dog with an astronaut helmet on it?”
“no.. mostly because i have no idea what the hell that means.”

It a good day in the village a very funny and warm day and the clan was going on with their day. The same could be said about you and the kids, as you are with them near the shoreline collect materials while the kids goofed off here and there. Making you laugh as you had looked at them being kids and making sure to have fun today.
rotox " ahh aonung no fair" aonung and shoved his brother into the water soon, gaining your attention as you look at the two boys.
aonung " oh come on I'm just playing around"
tsireya " you two are so childish" the two boys soon looked at each other and soon smirked, when they looked to their sister and before trsireya could do anything. They had tackled her into the water getting a scream from her and laughs from her brother.
tsireya " hey"
rotxo " oh come on baby sister you should of seen that coming" tsireya soon started a water fight with her brother as you stood there laugh and looking at them.
kids " mama"
y/n " be nice all three of you and not hurting each other please"
kids " yes mama" the kids had went deeper into the water having their battles still going on, as you stood there watching them. You had been standing there for a while before you had waked off.
navi women "excuse me y/n"
y/n " hello how may I help you ladies"
navi women 2 " well us and some of the clan were wondering if you are true navi or false navi"
y/n " excuse me"
navi women 3 " yes after ing the olo'eythan you have failed time to time again, to have a kids with him while ronal has three kids ... are we sure you are actually navi or just some unwanted child the great mother gave your childish parents"
y/n " that is none of your business the great mother will bless me with a child, when the time right"
navi women 4 " are we sure because if you are false navi maybe it time, to have someone become the perfect mate and perfect navi to our clan"
navi women " you have these kids call you mama when you are no a mom to them"
y/n " I will not waste me time with you all anymore good day" you were about to walk away from the women, when big splash of water, had hit the women.
navi female " ahh"
navi women " who did that"
????? " it was me" the group of women and you had looked and saw it was aonung on his IIu.
Aonung " how dare you insult my mother like that"
navi women " mind your manners young man"
aonung " you should mind your manners when you are speaking to my mother, a very import women in the clan"
navi women 2 " we are speaking to her that all"
rotxo " you are being rude toward her and we heard everything you had said"
tisreya " yes and we will make sure to tell our parents about what you said, I wonder what they will think about how you all acted" a crowd had form due to all the fighting that was going on right now.
y/n " kids"
tsireya " you will start showing our mom respect"
???? " what going on here" tonowari and ronal soon had arrived, they soon walked towards you and the kids.
ronal " ma y/n and children what has happened"
aonung " these women were insulting mama mom they called her a false navi"
ronal " false navi"
aonung " yes they said she was a false navi because she failed to give father a child"
ronal " you dare insult my wife like that"
navi women " we had been speaking what is true she has failed to have a child with the olo'eythan"
tonowaro " how dare you speak to y/n like that after everything she has done for the clan, you all make me sick and not only insulting her you insult my whole family"
ronal " my family as well" ronal had gotten closer to the women and hissed at them, making them step back from her as ronal was very mad and so is tonowari.
tonowari " ma y/n are you okay"
y/n " I'm good now"
ronal " you are hear by not allowed to come near her or the children until I and tonowari deem to far enough, and your words and actions today might reflect your families and mates as well"
navi wonen 3 " wait no please"
tonowari " enough the tshaik has spoken I will decide on the offers I was going to give your mates, but for now leave before you all do anything else ... if anyone thinks the same speak now so we can deal with you all" no one dare to speak right now as it bad idea, the women had been escorted away getting glares some everyone else. Your mates and kids had taken you home as they comfort you about the whole matter.
tonowari " dont pay them any mind ma y/n you are the perfect mate, perfect mom, and perfect navi"
ronal " yes and one day you will be blessed with a kid"
y/n " yes I know the day will come"
tsireya " we love you mama"
y/n " thank you kids and my wonderful mates" the family had spent the rest of the day together, having a good time along with making sure you are okay as well. Tonowari and ronal had made sure the group of women stayed far away from you, and the kids their mates had apologized to you and were able not to be affected of what happened that day. You knew the day will come when you will be blessed with the another child in your life and family.

Demons and Savages
pairing: tsu’tey and human!avatar driver (fem presenting)
content warnings: graphic language, violence, alien vs human differences, unconventional grief, the RDA sucks, enemies to lovers. (also, i don’t like to capitalize sentences on tumbler :3)
word count: …idk :P
pov: 2nd person so you can add yourself in. for writing/plot purposes, your character is named eris ramsey. i’ll use the name sparingly but i can’t take myself seriously writing y/n— so please just work with me here. i promise it’ll be worth it. (i hope)
———🌌———
SUMMARY: earth was dying and your sister was, too, but cancer killed her faster than humans were killing earth. when she passed, she not only left behind an empty apartment full of memories but a billion dollar avatar without a driver. in a desperate attempt to not waste that money, the program she had spent the last five years preparing to join recruited you— her twin. of course, you agreed. there was nothing left on earth for you. there was nothing left on earth for anyone— that’s why people like your sister were sent off to pandora.
when your sister had spoken of pandora, it seemed like a dream.
the RDA promised it would be like a safari adventure.
truth was that pandora is beautiful. beautiful and unlike anything else across the whole of the universe. it is breathtaking— and that’s because what chases you through the forest hunts with the intent to kill; so you best run like hell even if your lungs are on fire. beasts and monsters of all kinds lurk out of sight waiting for the right moment to kill you dead— but none are as dangerous as him.
the blue shadow with the bow.

chapter one
— assholes and arrows —
it was hard to imagine that you were 4.37 light years away from earth.
what the hell even was 4.37 light years? obviously, you knew you couldn’t throw a rock and hit earth, but it was still mind boggling that it took long enough that they had frozen you whole so that you wouldn’t die in the amount of time it took you to get to where you were going. had your sister known just how far away she would’ve been had it been her in that cryo-capsule?
of course, she did.
she was the scientist who knew how far a light year was.
she was the scientist that had devoted the last years of her life to the avatar program without knowing it.
god was cruel— but people were even crueler.
at your sisters funeral, you had not expected two men-in-black characters to approach you. you had expected to leave the service with your sisters ashes in an urn but not that and a brochure of pandora and the program on it.
the program that now needed you to pick up where she left off.
were you supposed to say no? it was too late for that now. you were 4.37 light years from home. the only thing you could do was get off the aircraft and try your best to be even a teaspoon as smart as your sister.
as soon as you stepped out of the aircraft, you were a fish out of water. soldiers in massive metal suits walked the runways carrying giant guns. AMP suits, as they were called. machines the size of buildings were shot with arrows and needed repairs. the RDA extraction facility — lovingly nicknamed hell’s gate — was brutalist. the massive colony was an eyesore, churning out dark gray smoke into the pretty blue sky.
surely, the men in charge would happily rot this place into nothing, too.
it took three days to figure out your way around. around the colony. around the avatar labs. around the social hierarchy that the people living here had factioned themselves into.
it took three days to feel comfortable. to feel comfortable in your link-pod. in your avatar body. in your crew consisting of one grumpy, cigarette-dependent scientist, a goody-two shoes scholar, and an paralyzed man with a big mouth.
once grace augustine stopped bitching about how she got stuck with two dead scientist’s twins, things started to seem alright— because if there was any relief in hell’s gate, it was jake sully.
jake was the universes way of apologizing to you for all the shit you had to go through to get where you were. native language exposure, protocol training, avatar study, and a program explanation all in one month before they stuck you in a box and express shipped you to the blue moon.
it had wrecked your brain. all the studying and the work and the cramming wrecked your brain entirely. you felt like mush after they had unfroze you because you felt like mush when they had frozen you.
at least you got training, though. poor jake was picked up a week before the ship left.
the only training jake had was military. he was a marine. despite being wheelchair bound now, you his tactical skill was of value when in his avatar. he was the happiest out of the whole crew to have been gifted one of those big blue bodies. his legs worked again.
jake opened up briefly about how he got injured during his deployment years back and hadn’t done much since. in his avatar, jake could never stay still. in his real body, it was still hard to keep still. while jake could do poppa-wheelies and drift around hallway corners in his wheelchair, fire a gun with alarming accuracy, and had the mental fortitude of a nuclear war bunker— he was going into this thing virtually blind and deaf.
because poor jake had lost his twin, too.
tommy had been shot.
bang.
gone just like that. days before his big trip, too. wrong place at the wrong time is what jake had said. all tommy’s life’s work was gone just as fast as your sisters was— even though cancer killed her slowly.
in the end, it didn’t matter.
all it takes is one second to die.
all it takes is one second to make the biggest damn mistake of your life and almost get eaten alive by a leathery, nightmare-inducing, panther-looking thing on your first ground excursion.
grace had prepared you for taking samples. she taught you how to use the log device and the tablets. she went over how to input data and file in her research. what she hadn’t prepared you for was the off chance that a monster larger than a car leapt out from the bushes and chose you as it’s afternoon snack.
and that off chance chose you today like god had chosen mary.
“oh shit! oh fuck!” you gasped as you ran as fast as your feet could carry you.
it was not very fast.
avatar bodies were a work of scientific genius— but no one cared to think about how much training the body would need to be able to perform well.
a shrieking roar told you that the monster was still behind you.
that and it’s thundering paws hitting the ground as it chased after you.
this was karma.
it was karma for enjoying animal planet reruns on the shit-box tv in your apartment. you would sit on your couch with a bowl of over-done popcorn drenched in salty butter in your lap while you watched lions chase gazelles.
at least the gazelles were fast.
why the fuck weren’t you fast!
your throat burned alongside your lungs. you couldn’t breathe. your vision tunneled. your legs ached. you could hear your heart in your ears. sweat poured out of you like bullets.
“run!” grace had shouted.
jake had unloaded a whole clip firing at the panther-like beast— but the damn thing had dodged and ducked behind trees.
that’s why it chased you.
because it had seen you cowering behind a tree.
one stupid mistake.
one stupid second.
claws swiped at your backpack and it sent you toppling over. teeth dug into the pack and with one violent shake, you flew up into the air.
you hit the ground hard. all the air gasped out of you. your ears rang. but you had time. the beast tore your pack to shred and you didn’t stick around to see it realize that backpack à la carte wasn’t tasty.
“oh jesus!”
swinging your arms like a mad man, you steadied yourself at the cliffside. a raging, rushing waterfall hammered into a river below. far below.
a feral snarl sent you whipping around.
backpack was not tasty, it seemed.
the pandoran-panther leapt into a sprint.
and you leapt off the cliff.
the water below felt like a wall. croosh! bubbling, swirling rapids rushed around you. it clogged your nose and burned. you struggled to kick your feet in the current.
swimming was a luxury on earth. what water was clean enough and who had money to go to a pool? only the ultra-rich liked pools. poor people liked old tv specials like animal planet.
instinct and the sway of the current helped you surface. you gasped like a baby taking their first breath. coughing out the water in your mouth, you fought hard to stay above the water. with your arms extended, you caught hold of rocks. you used all the strength your avatar body had and you hauled yourself up onto the rock.
all you could do was breathe.
in and out. fast and deep. over and over again. in and out. in and out. all that mattered was air even when the beast above snarled and screeched at you from the cliffside.
“fuck…you…” you panted.
while you could’ve passed out from exhaustion there, you couldn’t. you forced yourself onto your feet and leapt from the rock to the riverbed. you fell face-first into the mud. it didn’t matter.
nothing mattered but staying alive.
if the avatar died, you’d be shipped to an RDA labor prison to pay back the billion dollars it costed as best you could before you died.
keep moving, you told yourself. if you moved, you lived. movement is life. an actor named brad pitt had said that in an old zombie movie your dad had once showed you.
movement is life.
that became your mantra.
it was funny. running through the forest for you life, it was just funny that with all the money the RDA pumped into mining and space travel, no one could equip the avatar drivers with GPSs?
irony.
irony and karma.
the fear didn’t kick back into you and rattle your bones until the sun began to set. you tried to find shelter as fast as you could. all you had on you was a knife and a flashlight at your hip. the panther had taken your backpack and tore through it like it was clocked into their shift working for the TSA.
the TSA used to at least give your bag back to you.
you’d be getting no such treatment because you had no such luck in a place like this.
a place like pandora.
it was gorgeous. during the day, pandora was utterly jaw-dropping. at night— you didn’t want to know.
whether it was beautiful or not, it wouldn’t matter. it was horrifying. it nearly brought tears to your eyes as you stumbled through the forest with only your flashlight to guide you.
twigs snapped in every direction. a pack of cackling creatures ran through midnight brush. insects whirred and buzzed. massive leafs rustled in the breeze.
every noise made you jump.
every noise made you grip your knife tighter.
hurrying through the dark, you made more noise than you realized. ragged breaths. rustling clothes. loud footsteps. you may as well have been calling out for any dangerous creature to come and eat you whole.
when you exhausted yourself, you finally stopped.
in a clearing between massive trees, you fought to catch your breath. while standing in the open may have been stupid, at least you could see what sprung out at you first. whether or not you could fight it off was something you would deal with if it happened. for now, you breathed.
you clicked off your flashlight and you breathed.
lowering to a crouch to rest, you kept quiet and you kept vigilant. your breath soon returned. you knew to keep calm. while the anxiety you felt now was primal, it was still just anxiety. with each breath, you focused your mind.
you needed a plan.
you couldn’t keep running in the dark. you had to find somewhere to hide until morning. a cave. up in the trees. somewhere. somewhere away from danger.
the forest was glowing.
it was only once your heart had calmed and air actually got the chance to reach your brain that you realized the forest around you was glowing.
you felt your tail flick as amazement bubbled up inside you. you turned to look at it. you forgot you that the spindly blue thing. it fascinated you almost as much as your braid did.
at its core, this whole thing amazed you.
standing in an avatar body of a navi in the bioluminescent forest of pandora was amazing. while part of you had felt guilt leaving earth— pandora was a wonder you would choose again and again.
you got to your feet and admired the way the grass lit up as you took small steps. you smiled as glowing bugs buzzed by. the more you looked around, the more their was to see. truly. with your flashlight off, the forest lit itself. wonders of all kinds became visible.
a soft laugh escaped you as something white floated around your head. it reminded you of a jellyfish. a small, luminescent jellyfish. you spun as it circled you. your tail flicked and your ears perked as the fascinating little thing seemed to interact with you.
all the fear you felt was gone— but unbeknownst to you, you were in the most danger of your life.
in the tree above you, an arrow was begging to fly free from his bow and strike you through the chest.
as the small jellyfish creature landed in your hand, the sun would’ve felt ashamed to not be as bright as your smile if it were up.
the moment lasted only a few seconds. the floating creature hovered over your hand only for a fleeting moment before it moved up and up and up into the air.
you followed it with your eyes.
your little jellyfish friend was not the only thing you saw.
you could see his gleaming, glaring yellow eyes.
you could see the massive silhouette of his body.
you could see his bow that he held half-drawn.
all the shock you felt seeing his blue shadow in the night was nothing compared to the pack of wolf-like monsters that sprang from the dark and attacked.
teeth and claws ripped at your legs. taking out your ankles first, the pack of monsters knew how to hunt. when you fell, one of the large ones leapt at you. your hands shot out to catch the ugly mutt and protect yourself anyway that you could.
an arrow shot through its head and blood splattered across your face.
a gasp escaped you as the blue shadow jumped from the tree above and sprang into action. arrows flew as fast as bullets. one. two. three dead before you could even fumble for your knife.
a knife was nothing compared to him.
he alone with his teeth bared scared off the pack of horrifying wolves.
you could hardly breathe.
in utter silence, you watched as the Navi male retrieved his arrows. he was mumbling to himself. soft hisses escaped him as he pulled each arrow free from the kills he had made.
“thank you…” you whispered. tried to. you could hardly hear your own voice.
the beads in his hair clicked as he moved. he did not look at you. he didn’t have to. the scowl on his face sent a shiver of fear racing down your spine.
like a newborn deer, you tried to stand. the pain in your legs made you wince. again, you tried to get up but the pain only worsened.
a hiss sent you rigid.
you didn’t have to look up at him. he was crouched beside you with no taste for personal space. he grabbed your legs and tore the fabric around your knees off. you opened your mouth to shout at him but his scowl shut you up.
if he was going to kill you, he would’ve.
if he was going to hurt you, he would’ve.
he was checking your injuries.
“it’s bad, huh?” you asked in a whisper, “it’s really bad, isn’t it?”
he said noting.
all he did was prod at the wounds with his large, calloused finger.
“hey!” you kicked him lightly. “that hurts!”
he grabbed you by the bend of your knee and shoved. your head hit the ground hard as you fell back. tears wet your eyes on reflex. a soft groan escaped you. anger boiled in your blood. you pushed yourself up on your elbows intent on cursing him out.
you stopped as he wrapped your wounds in the fabric he ripped off your pants.
you grit your teeth and kept quiet. it hurt like a bitch. the rough, gritty fabric was unkind to your wounds. despite his never-ending scowl, he was gentle.
“thank you…” you whispered for the second time. this time he heard you.
“do not thank.” he hissed, his voice a deep, sharp slash in the space between you. “you should not thank for this. this is not good. this is sad.”
“i— i’m sorry?” you offered, just wanting him to know that you appreciated his kindness.
he only scowled at you.
when he stood, panic rushed through you. before your mind to race to any awful thoughts about how he may abandon you now, he extended his hands.
you hesitated.
he huffed out of his nose and curled his lip.
you reached for him instantly.
“ah— fuck…” you muttered as you stood. it was an awful stinging pain. it shot up your legs as you put your weight on them.
“very painful?”
you looked up at him as he placed his hand on your waist to support some of your weight.
tall.
so, so tall. a head and a half taller than you. it almost had you tongue tied. all you could do was nod. for a stupid, dumbfounded moment, you nodded like a idiot.
by the look in his eyes, he seemed to think you were exactly that.
the male grumbled. under his breath, he seemed to curse. your brows drew together as he turned around and crouched down. you stood still. your ears pinned back and you tilted your head. his tail began to flick. sharp and fast.
you had a cat once.
cats flicked their tails like that when they grew angry.
he reached back, grabbed your arm, and gave it a harsh tug. a gasp escaped you as you bumped into his back. the realization dawned on you when he brought your hand over his shoulder to his chest.
he would carry you.
carefully, you hooked your arms around him. with a fluidity that stunned you, he rose to his feet. you weighed nothing to him. even as a massive navi avatar yourself, you weighed nothing. his hands curled around your thighs and he hoisted you up higher on his back. you clung close and kept your head tucked toward his shoulder to try and keep his arrows from smacking you in the face.
“thank you— sorry.” you cringed. “sorry. not thank you. im sorry.”
for a moment it was silent as he walked.
“you are welcome.”
something tickled your belly at his response.
your heart was sprinting without you having to run from his acknowledgment alone. your head spun as it tried to keep up with all that had happened. he had leapt from the trees and saved you with no hesitation. he had tended to your wounds. he carried you to safety.
you couldn’t pull your eyes off his face.
his features were sharp. he had a sharp jaw. he had sharp ears. his flat nose was pointed down at the end, still making it sharp. his eyes were sharp. his lips. his teeth. his voice.
everything.
he was like a dagger.
heat rose to your face as he turned his head to meet your gaze. for the first time, he did not scowl. not at first. for a moment too fleeting, he was cat-like. he seemed to look at you just as closely as you looked at him. his pupils dilated and his ears perked— but his face soon became a disgruntled scowl as you stared at him too long and he jostled you as a warning.
you looked away. “what is your name?”
“tsu’tey,” he said after a moment of debating whether or not to answer.
“tsu’tey.” you repeated. it was fun to say. it made you smile. “my name is eris.”
“okay.”
his blunt, simple reply made you laugh. his ears pinned at the sound and he turned his head to look at you. he seemed bewildered by the fact that you laughed. embarrassment made your ears ring.
“uh…so…how old are you?” you asked, trying to keep the awkward tension at bay.
“cannot answer. don’t know how to say it like you.” he said with a small shake of his head.
you bit your lip. you were going to humiliate yourself but you may as well try.
“age?” you asked in navi.
tsu’tey looked back at you. a smile curled across his lips that disarmed you entirely. “i am twenty-five.”
“twenty-five? that’s cool. i— i’m also that. twenty-five, too. we’re the same age. that’s so…cool.” you stammered, at a loss for coherent words.
his smile dropped entirely and he shifted you on his back.
you had never wanted to die more.
“you must be getting ill from their claws. fever is common. we must get to the tsahik quickly.” tsu’tey said with a single nod of his head.
of course, yes.
your state of bumbling idiocy came from wounds— not that fact that a giant blue man had saved you and now carried you to safety on his back. it was a fever that made you hot, not the way his fingers felt around your thighs or the way his skin felt like velvet under your fingertips.
maybe you were having a stroke, too.
burning toast?
no, that was just the earthy, spicy scent of him that made your mouth water.
it wasn’t until he put you down that you had any idea of where you were. there was only one place you could be. you had read about it in the prep books that had once belonged to your sister.
the tree was larger than life.
hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of feet in the air, home tree towered the way colossus of rhodes could’ve only dreamed to.
you hissed under your breath as the weight on your wounds sent sharp pain through your legs. as you looked up at him, you realized there had been softness to his sharp features this whole time.
that softness was gone.
a startled yelp escaped you as he grabbed you by the end of your braid and pushed you forward.
“ow! hey!”
his voice was lethal. “walk, demon.”
with him guiding your every move, you walked. your face burned as you entered home tree. hundreds of navi turned and gasped. they chirped, calling out to inform others there was an intruder in their home. soon, the inhabitants were all too close trying to catch a glimpse of you.
tsu’tey hissed as hands stuck out to touch you. he barked orders in navi that were lost to your ears. so much was. hundreds of voices spoke at once. the chattering was deafening— and so was the sound of your racing heart as tsu’tey brought you in front of the chief.
your mind blanked on the navi title he held — as it had blanked on every word — but you knew who the male decorated in feathers and beads was. his large bow was hooked around his back. his old, sunken face was a masterpiece of stoicism.
beside him with her tail flicking was none other than the tsahik you were here to see.
tsu’tey let you go but he did not go far. not far at all. his hand curled around the hilt of his knife. if the order was given to kill you— it would be him who snuffed the life from your lungs.
you felt like you had been dropped into the middle of the ocean. you were fighting to stay steady. the pain in your legs had you wobbling. the conversation you found yourself in the middle of was lost to you ears. you could only pick out a few words.
kill her?
a question from the chief.
no.
an answer from tsu’tey.
eywa has given a sign.
your head snapped as those words left his lips. you looked up at him, your ears perking. as he met your eyes, his ears pinned back.
you understood. how much he didn’t know, but you understood. you knew more than he imagined you could’ve.
“you are injured.”
you turned your head as the tsahik approached you.
with a slow nod, you signed ‘i see you.’
a collective gasp was one that even tsu’tey shared in.
the tsahik’s tail swayed and she looked back at the chief. he had an expression you found hard to read. without another word, the tsahik grabbed your arm and guided you along. you swallowed your whimpers as you kept up with her long stride.
these people and their grabbing…
you glanced back over your shoulder to see tsu’tey let go of his knife and kneel before his chief.
“sit.” the tsahik demanded as you entered her hut.
slowly, you sat down on one of the mats. the hut was full of herbs, oils, and hanging flowers. a small fire burned in the center of the room. around it, mats lay in a circle. a small wooden table is where she stopped. she gathered medicines and supplies.
“what attacked you?” the tsahik asked.
“uh…i— i’m not sure.” you said with a shake of your head.
“describe.”
you swallowed thickly. closing your eyes, you tried to conjure any glimpse you could remember. “they…they were like dogs. six legs. black teeth. growling and cackling like hyenas. there was a pack of them.”
how the hell would she know what a dog was let alone a hyena?
idiot.
“nantang,” the tsahik said as she turned. she kneeled in front of you and seemed to smile with her ears, as if she found this amusing. “sky people like you named them viperwolves.”
“nantang…” you repeated softly. you’d surely remember that word.
“how did tsu’tey find you?” the tsahik asked as she unwrapped the makeshift bandages from your legs.
you grit your teeth as the air stung your wounds. you tried to sit still. “i was with my group. the other avatar drivers? we were out in the forest doing research with dr. augustine. grace. do you know her?”
the tsahik nodded once. she stuck her fingers into a jar of greasy ointment and began to lather it on your wounds. a soft grunt escaped you at the sting.
“i got separated,” you said through your teeth. you focused on telling your story. it distracted you from the pain. “there was this huge fucking thing that attacked. massive. all black. had these face-flap things that look like this.”
you tried your best to mimic what it had looked like with your hands and the tsahik stared at you with wide eyes.
you dropped your hands and fought the urge to strangle yourself as embarrassment churned in your gut.
“palulukan.” the tsahik said. she wrapped your legs in leafs and tied them with long grass-line twine. “i do not know what your people have called it, but it is very dangerous.”
“yeah,” you said with a small nod. “palulu…yeah, it was that thing. it chased me. i had to jump off a waterfall and i got lost. he found me in the forest playing with um…”
“it was small,” you raised your hands to show the size of the tiny thing. you traced your palm. “it could fit here. so small. it was white. it looked…like a jellyfish.”
the tsahik stopped.
she looked at you.
with blown pupils, she looked at you.
“atokirina…” she murmured.
your brows furrowed. “ato-what-now?”
the tsahik stood suddenly. she placed her hand on your head before she left her hut. you sat in silence. your ears pinned back and your tail swayed across the woven mat.
had she just patted your head?
maybe you weren’t as doomed as you thought you were.
alone in the warm hunt, staying awake began to get hard. it smelled like heavenly incense. the stinging in your wounds disappeared into a cool clam. the fire warmed what the icy river and night air had chilled.
if it weren’t for the urgency to know this body would be safe and the hunger that rumbled in your belly, you had every intention of falling asleep. not only was the body tired but you were tired.
how you could you not be with all that had happened?
not just today.
with everything.
her face was like a bruise on your soul that you hated to see even in your mind. looking at your own face in the mirror was just as hard because it looked like hers.
would your sister have been able to survive the palulukan? would she have had the guts to jump off the cliff? how the hell had you even had the guts to do that? on earth, you worked a shit job servicing food at a drive-and-dine and spent your nights watching old tv cartoons. where the hell had all your courage come from?
looking back; though, you’d always had some courage.
your sister had none.
and she would’ve been eaten alive.
guilt burned in your stomach as that thought resonated in your mind. you pushed it away as best you could. you pushed it all away. none of it mattered now. nothing about earth and your old life mattered. there was only here and now.
just as your eyes drooped shut, the beaded curtain pulled apart. you turned your head to find not only the tsahik but tsu’tey. him and his awful scowl.
“get up, demon. you come with me. it is decided.” tsu’tey said gruffly. he reached for your arm.
“what?” you asked, shaking your head.
“eywa has given us a sign, dreamwalker.” the tsahik said as she crouched to your level. she pulled a thorn from her chest piece and stuck your arm with it. she licked off the blood and smiled. “you are to stay here where we can keep our eyes on you.”
you rubbed at the small hurt on your arm. looking between the two of them, all you could do was nod. you wouldn’t pass up their hospitality. especially not if you knew the body would be safe here.
“tsu’tey himself saw the atokirina bless you. you are his student now. he shall teach you our ways.” the tsahik said. “it is decided.”
you looked up at him.
he scowled at the fire.
how fun…
“alright,” you said as you tried to heave yourself up. your body weighed a thousand pounds and your legs ached still, but you could move a bit easier. “it is decided then…”
tsu’tey shot the tsahik an annoyed expression but she only waved her hand. he huffed under his breath and grabbed you by the arm. he tugged you out of the hut.
“hey, man, c’mon!” you said, pulling your arm from his grasp. you glared up at him. “stop pulling me around. i can walk just fine.”
he only stared down at you. his tail swayed behind him and his ears perked. you could’ve sworn that you saw his lip curl into a smirk.
he turned and walked off.
fast.
“hey!”
you nearly had to jog to keep up with him. when you caught up to his side, he was smirking. this was a punishment. what an asshole!
“you are slow.” tsu’tey said without looking at you. his voice was always so sharp. his accent was thick and it made your ears tingle. “you are weak.”
“climb.” he said, flicking his head towards the center column of home tree. a spiraling, colossal root that acted as a staircase.
you grit your teeth. you hated heights but you hated that smug look on his face even more. you began to climb. he followed behind you. he watched you like a hawk. while his cold, challenging demeanor was as rough as sandpaper— his attentiveness was so sweet it could’ve rot away all your teeth.
he grasped your waist as you slipped. steading you on your feet, he kept you in place. you looked back at him. his hairless browns seemed to raise. it was like he was saying, ‘careful, demon.’
you brushed off his hand and continued on. you had no idea how far he was expecting you to go. you refused to look down. your breath was jagged in your throat and you had never felt more tired. just as your muscles couldn’t take anymore, he tugged your arm. together, you walked along a thick branch as wide as a runway. you followed him into a hanging hut.
it was small. three baskets by one wall. a woven mat across the floor. a bed of furs. small holes in the ceiling to let strands of light in. it was cozy. it smelled of him. you liked it.
“remove those clothes.” he said as he crouched over one of the baskets. he dug through it.
you eyes widened. “excuse me?”
he looked back at you. “remove. the. clothes.” he said again. this time, as if your were an idiot.
when he stood, he held a garment made of beads and a long loincloth similar to his own. standing before him now, you realized just how much of him you could see.
he was broad. impeccably so. his long limbs were slim and his frame was slender but he had muscle. you knew he did. you felt it as he grasped you and carried you through the forest.
bands decorated his arms. a woven leather corset was snug around his ribs. it probably was meant for something tactical but to you it looked like a corset. his waist was small. his legs were long and powerful. around his neck was a collar-like necklace made of hundreds of beads.
his blue skin held the most interesting stripes. his tail was long. a lot longer than yours. it flicked impatiently. his hair was braided back, except for a few pieces with red breads hung by his face. the long braid of his queue flowed down his back. in the dim light of his hut, his freckles glowed.
“now, demon.” he demanded again, throwing the garments at you.
“turn around.” you said, jutting your chin at him.
he narrowed his eyes at you and shook his head. “what?”
“turn.” you said, gesturing the action with your finger.
he scoffed.
“have you no sense of privacy?” you asked with a scowl that seemed to amuse him.
“privacy. human word. meaningless to me.” tsu’tey spat as he passed by you. he made sure to hit you with his shoulder as he exited his hut.
“savage…” you muttered under your breath.
as you undressed yourself, you could hear him pacing outside. he must be paranoid. did he think you would stab him in the back if he turned? wouldn’t you have done that in the forest?
or maybe privacy really wasn’t a thing to him— to any of the navi. less so than humans, at the very least. they did only cover their gentiles with loincloths and breasts with beaded tops. they showed far more skin than the average human did.
dressed in such a thing now, you felt entirely out of your comfort zone. the string of the loincloth rode up your ass. you had to adjust it for it to feel comfortable. the beaded top you wore hid your perky blue nipples, but not much else. while navi breasts were small, your chest wasn’t flat. the human dna used to create the avatar gave the body extra features.
five fingers. hairy eyebrows. the queues extending out from the nape of the neck and not the top of the head. the male avatars had more muscle. they were bulkier than navi-born males. the female avatars were aerodynamic and slim like navi-born females, but their chests weren’t as flat. compared to your real body, the boobs on your avatar were nothing. but the boobs compared to the populaces normal, it was definitely something more.
as you exited his hut, tsu’tey turned. the cold, harsh scowl he wore faltered. you felt something warm tingle in your stomach as his eyes mapped the whole of you. his pupils dilated and his ears perked up as his eyes landed on your chest.
you swatted at him— or tried to.
he caught your wrist and tugged you along. you did not protest. protesting with him did you no good. that was something you learned quick.
“tomorrow, i teach you how to ride.” tsu’tey said as he led you back down the main column of home tree.
going down was much scarier than going up. you gripped his hand and stared at the back of his head the whole time. while he was tense, he did not pull his hand from yours.
“ride what?” you dared to ask. your heart was in your throat.
“pa’li.” tsu’tey said. he glanced over his shoulder. “you call them…horse.”
a horse? that should be easy enough. you used to watch old western specials as a kid. nothing too terrifying about a horse, right?
instead of walking back down to the ground level, you entered a large hollow section of the tree. hundreds of navi gathered. sitting down all together, you realized they were eating.
you could’ve cried. thank you, lord! your stomach felt hollow with hunger for the last hour.
“sit.” tsu’tey said, pushing at your shoulder.
you sat. the navi beside you seemed to shy away. you looked up at tsu’tey but he was gone. he was off to the side gathering food off a long wooden table. when he returned, he handed you the leaf piled with meats, berries and nuts without a word.
you ate in silence across from him. he sat with the tsahik and the chief— the olo’eyktan. you remembered the word. beside them, a strikingly beautiful navi woman. she ate without lifting her gaze.
as her ears pinned back, you knew she could feel you staring. you were quick to look down at your food.
it tasted better than anything you ever had before and you ate with haste. the pain in your stomach ceased and you ate your fill. it was rude not to clean your plate. you made sure to eat every last bite.
when you finished, you looked up to see tsu’tey watching. your ears perked as he flicked his head. you followed his gaze to the long table full of food. it took you a second but you realized he was asking you if you were still hungry.
meeting his gaze, you shook your head no.
he nodded once.
the clan ate all together— and they slept at the same time, too. filing up through the main column, people separated into their designated beds. hundreds of hanging hammocks and nests filled the space between the internal branches. single navi slept alone. pairs slept with each other. families shared nest-like hammocks.
“come,” tsu’tey said, guiding you onward.
as you followed him, you couldn’t help but feel a pair of eyes deadlocked onto the back of your head. looking over your shoulder, you saw her again. the female navi. she climbed down into her own hanging hut and disappeared. when she was gone, that’s when you remembered tsu’tey was an impatient jackass who would yank your arm if you didn’t pay attention.
he nearly did but you reacted just in time.
“what’s her name?” you asked. you flicked your head in the direction of her but.
tsu’tey followed your gaze. his shoulders stiffened and his lips twitched. not a smile. a frown. “that is neytiri. daughter of olo’eyktan and tsahik.”
“this is yours.” he said with a lazy point towards a hanging hammock. it was nearby his hut. a branch below. “you sleep now. tomorrow is going to be long.”
“aye-aye, captain.” you said with a salute.
tsu’tey narrowed his eyes as a puzzled expression took over his face. you swallowed hard. slowly, you signed to him.
‘i see you’.
he only huffed out a small goodbye. you watched as he climbed his way to his own hut. he did not look back at you. he disappeared inside and the flap shut.
you sighed and carefully slipped your way into your hammock. it was comfier than you thought it would be. warmer, too. the warm air and soft breeze made it easy to feel drowsy as you laid down. the gentle sway of the hammock made your eyes heavy.
it felt like you had fallen asleep. black muddled behind your eyelids before bright, tunneling white.
all you could see was white.
there was a loud, incessant ringing in your ears.
“c’mon, kid, wake up.”
the white blinding light began to morph into shapes. into colors. into people. a ginger haired scientist. she moved her flashlight in and out of your face, patting your cheek.
“hey,” grace said, her voice coming in clear. “snap out of it.”
sense rushed back into your brain as she snapped her fingers beside your ear. your eyes widened and a gasped cleaved it’s way out of your chest. the whirr of the machine purred in your ear. the bright lights of the room were harsh after the gentle luminance of the pandoran forest.
“are you okay?” grace asked, pushing your hair behind your ears. it was the kindest she’d ever been. “how are you feeling? is the avatar safe?”
“i— i am. i’m good…” you said. your voice was hardly a whisper. your breath came hard and fast. even then, a smile curled onto your lips. “doc, you’re gonna do backflips when you find out where i am.”

Tumblr media
(I love Na'vi collages sm)
You adjusted your exo-pack, peering through it into the iridescent landscape of Pandora. Bioluminescent plants stretch towards the colorful sky as shadows flicker at the edge of your peripheral vision. You love this world- the vibrant flora, the majestic fauna, and most of all- the thrill of exploration.
As a scientist, every element holds secrets waiting to be discovered, but there's one thing you find particulary intriguing- a certain Na'vi warrior named Tsu'tey.
He's unmatched in both strength and ferocity, a protector of his people. You've seen him from a safe distance of your lab- his towering frame outlined against the glowing trees, his presence both commanding and intimidating.
To you, he often seems grumpy and cold, glancing at your kind with an air of disdain as if you're more an annoying insect than a person. Still, there's something about his rugged demeanor that tugs at your heart- something that hints at uncharted depths beneath that icy exterior.
Tumblr media
Your days are typically filled with research, colleting samples of flora for analysis and documenting your findings.
However, you find that every time Tsu'tey wanders into your workspace- hands on his navy hips, brow furrowed- you can't help but feel your pulse quicken.
Perhaps he's the most beautiful Omaticayan, the most beautiful sight on Pandora. Maybe, just maybe you wished he could see you differently too.
One late afternoon under the obsidian sky, you take a deep breath. Your exo-pack making wonders, letting you breathe while also giving you the ability to look around yourself. Tsu'tey was sitting near you under the tree, his hands moving restlessly- sharpening his arrows one by one.
"Tsu'tey"
You call, your voice slightly wavering. He turns to you, his brow arching in curiosity. His yellow eyes were staring at you, his blue ears flat against his skull.
"Would you mind helping me gather some flowers over by floating rocks?"
Tsu'tey got up and placed his arrow on the ground. He looked at you curiously, his blue tail whiping behind his back. You tried not to stare at the tall alien as he moved closer, many decorations around his neck swinging as he walked.
"I need them for my research on bioluminescence."
You explained, looking at his form- silently peering at you. His body was huge, tall and blue, streaked with navy marks and glowing white freckles. He had some scars from past battles.
His expression remains one of stoic indifference, but after an agonizing pause, he nods briskly. It's not the warmth you hoped for but it's the start.
"Get up, tawtute." (sky person)
He says, not even looking at you. You sprang to your feet, following the tall alien who was already vanishing near the purple bushes.
Together, you navigate the treacherous paths as he leads the way, his strength evident in the way he swings past various obstacles.
"You tawtutes... always demanding, always exploring." (sky people)
He muttered to himself. You were walking beside the tall Na'vi, trying to keep up with his steps.
As you crouch to collect specimens, Tsu'tey watches, keenly aware, as if guarding your safety. The flowers you gather in your hands, and for a fleeting moment, it almost feels like you share something more-a silent connection. That's until he notices which flowers you picked. He gently smacks your hands before you bring the flowers to your nose.
"Kä neto! Poison. Don't touch everything." (get away)
Tsu'tey's hand pulls yours as he continues walking. You could feel your legs treble, he was pulling you by your hand. His big blue palm covered yours completely. Your delusions eating you up, why did he sound protective? This was a start of something new.
Tumblr media
Days turn into weeks, and the simple outings become the highlight of your research. Tsu'tey shows up more often than other of his kind, grumbling under his breath- though you suspect it's his awkward attempt to mask the fact that he's beginning to enjoy these little excursions.
He fetches you tools you need and helps to transport your findings. At first, he does so begrudgingly, but you notice a shift in how he examines you while you're lost in your work, a flicker of curiosity dancing in his golden eyes.
One evening, after a long day of sampling you ask-
"Tsu'tey, have you ever gone scavenging under the green flame trees?"
His eyes flicker to yours, looking puzzled and something else. You could see something in his gaze, maybe awkwardness or sadness..?
"Dr. Grace said the luminescent organisms are breathtaking at night."
He grunts, sounding slightly annoyed but intrigued.
"I do not need permission to explore, but I do find that interesting."
Tsu'tey sounded different, something soft creeped in his voice as he bent down to your level, your faces an inch away.
"But if you wish to see them, I will take you."
The tall alien replied, and a small, smug smile curls on his lips. You stood up, looking at Tsu'tey and nodding. His sharp teeth gleaming on moonlight.
Tumblr media
The night soon wraps Pandora in it's starry embrace, and the verdant glow of the trees beckons. Tsu'tey leads the way, his imposing figure gliding through the shadows as you scramble to keep up. The world transforms under the luminescent twinkling of the flora, each step revealing a dazzling interplay of folors that seem to pulse with life.
"I know this place well."
He says, leading you to a small clearing flooded with silvery light.
"It is where my people come to connect with spirits of Eywa." (Na'vi goddes)
He gestures dramatically to the surroundings, almost challenging you to admire it.
"It's beautiful.. Grace was right"
You breathe, feeling the essence of the world wash over you. But you can't help but steal glances at him. In these moments, the walls he built around himself begin to crack.
Your soft admiring tone triggers something in him, and he shifts, the glint of vulnerability shining through the layers of bravado.
"Beauty can easily be forgotten, especially by those who do not understand."
There's a weight in his words, laden with an unspoken history.
Tumblr media
Before you can respond, a rustle disturbs the tranquility and a glowing creature skims past- the kind you've long wanted to catalog. Excitedly, you chase after it, heart racing. Tsu'tey watches, amusement replacing annoyance as he leans against a tree, arms crossed.
"Why do you chase it skxawng?" (moron-fem)
He calls out but you don't have time to formulate an answer. The creature flits beyond your reach, deeper into the woods, it's light flickering like a whisper luring you forward.
"Tsu'tey??!"
You call, your voice echoing in the stillness. The thrill morphs into worry, and shadows loom larger.
Then, like a guardian spirit, Tsu'tey appears out of the shadows, his expression serious. Without hesitation, he takes your hand and the contact sends another jolt through you. He guides you back, grip firm and gentle.
"I told you NOT to wander too far."
He murmurs as you regain the clearing.
"The woods can be deceivng."
"I'm.."
You stutter, still in awe of the strength surging between you.
"I'm sorry, I got carried away."
His eyes soften, revealing glimpse of feeling long buried.
"You are brave, but bravery without caution can lead to danger."
He offers, his tone gruff yet edged with an underlying warmth.
Tumblr media
As you both sit among the glowing flora, something shifts in the air around you. Silence drapes over the night, but it feels different- not uncomfortable, but laden with anticipation. There is a flicker of understanding, a known glance that spirals between you, and in that moment, you recognize that maybe, just maybe this grumpy warrior is beginning to see you not only as a scientist but as someone worth knowing.
The night deepens, and with every shared moment- every stolen glance where your gazes connect- you realise a transformative journey has begun, one that could unravel more than friendship beneath the luminous skies of Pandora.
"Will you join me for more scavenging yawntutsyìp?" (dear one)
He finally asks, a hint of smirk betraying his gruff demeanor.
A smile spreads across your face, hope blossoming within.
"Every adventure is better with you, Tsu'tey."
As you sit side by side, an unspoken promise hangs in the air- this was only the beginning of something profound in the heart of Pandora, where the colors glowed not only in the landscape but also in the growing connection between you two.
Tumblr media

“You got chased by a what!” Norm exclaims, his eyes seemingly bulging out of his skull.
“An Akula. It could be compared to a great white shark; it was dark down there and I didn’t see the protected marker, ok? All that matters is that I got out alive.” I groan looking away dismissively. I hear Max huff silently judging my poor choices but Norm rips it into me.
“By a stroke of luck (Y/N)! If Rukan wasn’t there you would have been its dinner.” Norm lectured as he pinched his nose in exasperation “You have to be more aware of your surroundings when you’re solo. If you pull stunts like this again we might need to consider withdrawing you from the marine branch and find you a safer role in Omaticaya Territory. We can’t risk losing more people-”
“You can’t do that to me! I’m a marine biologist, what would I even research in the forest, tiny ponds and creeks?” I say exasperated trying to mask my fear of not seeing the reef or Rukan again. I feel Max place a hand on my shoulder giving me a look to calm down.
“We are just concerned for you is all, the reefs are dangerous and being the only human there we can’t guarantee we can reach you in time (Y/N)” Max reasons shuffling in his seat antsy from the long commute. I’m prepared to continue my protest but am interrupted by the pilot.
“Attention passengers, we are passing through the Hallelujah Mountains in Omaticaya Territory. The local time is 6 AM. Preparing to land, ensure all seatbelts are fastened.” She says over the intercom, the descent making my ears pop. As we park on the pad, two medics rush to the door with a wheelchair. I unbuckle, and Norm lowers me slowly into the chair, my injured leg propped up as I’m wheeled inside.
For a fleeting moment, I looked around at the outpost watching fondly as Omaticayian children ran around and playfully tugged the tails of roaming avatars, they exclaim in surprise before playfully bearing their teeth at the children and chasing them around. I giggle before I'm depressurised and moved to the medical wing of the base.
I zoned out for a while, debriefing with the medics as they x-rayed my leg and determined I needed surgery to correct the leg. I’m changed into a loose gown and the area is sanitised and they wheel in equipment. Two hours had passed to ensure the clinic was ready for the procedure.
I’m carefully lifted onto the surgical table and administered anesthesia as the scrubbed-up, surgeons pull on the final layer of gloves.
“Just count down from thirty for me please,” The anesthesiologist instructed as she released the medication into the mask. I began to count down slowly as I took in the sedative. The room became fuzzy and I hardly felt them disinfecting the site. I reached sixteen before my mind faded and I drifted off.
“Starfish?” a gentle voice calls as my vision fades in. I realise I am no longer on the operating table but sitting on a sandy shore basking in the Sun.
Yet this wasn’t Pandora. This was Earth. My confusion is broken by a gentle hand on the crown of my head.
“Mum?” I choke out as my eyes meet hers, my lip quivering and my heart aching. She had not aged a day since I left on the shuttle. Her gentle eyes and calm voice washed over me like a cool wind during a heatwave. I shot up from my seat and wrapped my arms around her shoulders.
“Mum!” I repeated in disbelief as tears cascaded down my cheeks like a raging river.
“My dear little starfish - I’ve missed you.” She whispered into my hair. I look up from the crook of her neck to gaze at her features once more, trying to savour the moment. “Your Father and I think of you always, you have made us and our country so proud daughter.” She says running her hand through my hair, untangling the knots with practised grace. I felt like a child again as she pulled me into her lap. My legs lay sideways over hers as we gazed at the lapping waves.
“I’m sorry I never came home, Mum…” I whimper, rubbing a soothing hand down her arm.
“We don’t blame you little starfish, we had a feeling you would stay... Earth was already too far gone. We wanted the best for you and if that meant moving to an entirely new star then so be it…”
This felt so real.
Another set of feet came around the corner and my Father appeared. My smile was so wide that it felt as if my cheeks were going to tear at the seams. “Dad!” He jogged up to me and slid to his knees, embracing us in a group hug.
“My beautiful girls, all together again…” he murmured, caressing my hair as he looked at me. My body bore new scars and longer hair, my features more refined from age but I still held the soul of the girl who left all those years ago. We spent what felt like hours just talking about our lives, it was heaven.
“...Starfish, it's time to wake up now.” Mum and Dad spoke in unison.
“What?” My eyes flickered between them in utter confusion.
But of course, this was only a dream… although I didn’t want to wake up just yet.
“No no no! Mum, Dad don’t leave me!”
“We are so sorry (Y/N), but we need to go…” They spoke as their faces contorted in pain and their features disfigured. The beach around me warped before everything became nothingness. I screamed as a falling sensation took over me as if I fell into the core of the Earth.
A horrified scream erupted from my body as I shot up in bed. The pungent smell of bleach and crisp hospital bedsheets hit my nose, I grimaced as I wiped the sweat from my brow. The other beds were empty, neatly made, and ready for future patients.
I vividly recall my dream, and I couldn’t help but notice the tears in my eyes. My lips quiver as I imagine them growing old and dying alone with no one else by their side… that thought causes the dam to erupt. I wail into the empty ward like a child. The ache of my leg was negligible to the emotional turmoil.
I had bottled up my emotions for so long and threw myself into my research to quell the pain. But alas that only caused a torrent of emotion to boil over at the slightest nudge. Soon I had no more tears to weep as I lay back helpless into my pillow. I realised this bed held no comfort like my bed at home, it was cold and sterile. There were no soft blankets or warmth to be found.
Home…
Was it even on Earth anymore? I had lived on Pandora for so long and met so many new people that I now consider family… I sigh as I close my eyes and try to calm myself down.
I lay there silently for a second before a gentle knock on the metal sliding door broke me out of my stupor.
“Come in…” I croak, coughing trying to get the grit out of my voice. A human Norm comes in and takes up a chair next to my bed.
“Hey, you alright? I heard you crying” He murmurs as if trying to soothe an angry viperwolf.
I didn’t say anything, knowing if I spoke I would cry again. So I settled on just turning my back to him in hopes that he left. I heard Norm sigh, groaning as he stood up from the chair knowing he won’t get anything from me.
“There are some guys outside wanting to see you. Can they come in?” Norm asks, I make an unimpressed expression as Norm continues “Trust me, you will want to see them too.” He smiles as I give a subtle nod. “Alright then, I’ll give you guys some privacy.” Norm states as he leaves, waving goodbye with his back turned.
Jake and Neytiri crouch through the doors and my face lights up as I see them and they bear two baby nets strapped to their chests holding Neteyam and Kiri.
“(Y/N) Long time no see!” Jake says as he approaches my bed. I try pulling myself up again, as Neytiri adjusts the pillow to support my back.
“Ma (Y/n), it is great to see you again, even if these aren’t the best circumstances.” Neytiri greets gesturing ‘I see you’ and I dutifully return. I hear Kiri coo and wave her arms around for me.
“Oh- hand her here Jake.” I cooed to the infant girl, Jake raised a worried brow in my direction.
“You sure, ya know with your injury and all.”
“Oh, hush—give her over. I’m well overdue for baby hugs.” I reason, holding my arms out as Jake humours me. I slide Kiri from the wrap and cradle her in my awaiting arms.
I gaze down into her big yellow eyes, wide open in wonder as she takes hold of my cheek, which for once wasn’t obscured by my mask. It had been about six months since they adopted Kiri and around three months since my last visit to the Omaticaya base; she had grown so quickly and looked so much like Grace that it brought me to tears, to see my late friend and teacher’s features in her.
I laughed gently at her babbling, and soon her eyes fell to the shell beading in my hair. It enraptured her, swatting at them and listening to them clink against each other brought us so much joy. Jake and Neytiri smiled at our interaction as I played with Kiri, tracing her stripes along her forehead and arms admiring her.
Another coo is heard as little Neteyam yawns, waking from his nap. My eyes drifted from Kiri and I gave a little wave to the boy.
“Well, good morning Neteyam~” I coo, watching his little ears peek in recognition. Neteyam was older than Kiri by about a year and was babbling short Navi words now.
“Heylo” Neteyam babbles, slightly mispronounced but understood nonetheless.
I giggle “Why hello to you too.” I reply, gesturing ‘I see you’ with my free hand as the other cradles Kiri.
“We were so worried for you (Y/N) that storm cell was huge,” Jake asks worriedly as he begins to pace at the foot of the bed, he takes a brief inhale from his mask, then turns towards me staring at me. I watch his tail whip around, a telltale of anxiety and concern.
“I’m alright, Jake. I wasn’t alone,” I say without thinking as I wiggle my fingers at Kiri. She grips them in curiosity, chewing gently on my knuckles. Jake and Neytiri make a questioning sound at my words.
“What do you mean you were not alone Ma (Y/n)?” Neytiri queries as she rocks Neteyam lightly.
I cough abruptly. “Well, that's the thing… I met someone.” I nervously state, looking at Jake and Neytiri through my lashes, weary of their reaction.
“Oh? Are they Metkayina?” Neytiri speculates.
“Yes, his name is Rukan. We met when he was on patrol”
“Excuse me…. HE?” Jake says exasperated. “And he didn’t try to kill you?”
I sigh at what I've started, shuffling awkwardly under their gaze. “No, he was more cautious if anything. He even helped me find shelter in the storm and strapped my leg.”
Neytiri merely hums in thought and looks at me knowingly at the tone of affectation I used.
Jake and Neytiri were like my older siblings in a way. They always looked out for me, protecting me from Pandora’s dangers… and potential suitors to ensure I was safe and happy. They were saddened when I was deployed to the coast but we kept in touch through video chat.
“Well if he does anything, and I mean anything- to you just give me a call and I’ll get down there ASAP and beat his ass-”
“MA JAKE-” Neytiri scolds whacking Jack on his bicep. He hisses in pain as Neteyam and Kiri giggle at the scene.
“No, seriously,” Jake says handing me a throat comm. “Norm had adjusted the radio radius. Now you can contact us from the reef, " he proudly states.
I smile warmly “Thank you, it means a lot that you care about me.”
“Of course Ma (Y/N), you are family and we protect our own, tawtute or Navi we love you regardless.” Neytiri smiles, smoothing my stray hair.
We are interrupted by a nurse with crutches and a bottle of pills. Neytiri refrains from bearing her teeth and wraps her arms around Neteyam protectively and I reluctantly hand Kiri back to Jake as I talk to the nurse.
“Hello,” I acknowledge the woman’s presence and quickly switch back to English.
“Ah, Ms (L/N), here are your painkillers and a pair of crutches, you can now be discharged. You are healing nicely, just keep off that leg.” She stated with a nod, writing something on her clipboard before heading back out of the room.
“Thank you, I’ll head out shortly,” I say as Neytiri takes the pills from my hands and tosses them in the trash.
“Hey ‘Tiri!” I exclaim in shock at her behaviour.
“Pssh, silly tawtute medicines. Mother will have something better for your pain.” Neytiri hisses. Even after all these years she can’t help but want to do it the Navi way, I can’t fault her for that.
“Fine by me, but let's get out of here. I need some fresh air.” I say as Jake walks over with Kiri back in the wrap handing me the crutches. Jake and Neytiri support both sides of me as I ease into a standing position, I groan as my muscles slowly wake up then begin hobbling to the door with them following suit.
Coming out of the base Jake and Neytiri led me back to High Camp, reaching the final climb to their home that I couldn’t scale in this state. I stop along the branch bridge connecting the islands and with a huff, I look at Jake dejectedly asking to be carried up.
Without a word, Jake kneels with his back exposed, Neytiri helps me slide on as I nestle my feet into the straps of Kiri’s wrap and wrap my arms around Jake’s neck. He slowly rises to his full height and I look down feeling a sense of vertigo as I stare down at the fatal drop to the forest floor.
I hear Jake laugh as my breath hitches “Don’t look down!” He says in jest.
“Too late…” I say my voice shaking. That earned a giggle from Neytiri as she followed along behind us.
Effortlessly Jake and Neytiri scaled the branches to reach the Omaticaya dwellings. I sigh in relief as I slide down Jake’s back and stretch out on the woven mats of their home. Neteyam and Kiri join me on the floor crawling all over me like a jungle gym. Neteyam climbs onto my chest and I wrap my arms around him playfully earning a happy babble.
Jake and Neytiri watched me playing with their children with great happiness, they held each other's hands as they coughed to gain my attention.
“(Y/N), we have some exciting news to share… We are pregnant.” They say in unison. I suddenly sit up, Kiri and Neteyam dangling from my arms.
“HUH! No way!” I exclaim in joy “I’m so happy for you!” I hobble over and bring them into my arms. “I’m going to be an Auntie again! Yes!” Jake and Neytiri are smiling ear to ear and they wrap their arms around me too.
“We couldn’t think of a better Auntie to our kids.” They say, I look down as I feel Neteyam and Kiri latch onto my legs. I laugh and pick them up into each arm.
“You are going to be a big brother and sister. How exciting!” I say to the two babies. Sensing our excitement they coo and clap their hands.
I am so lucky for this family. Pandora is my home now.
