@tothepayne who asked for:
🍼 non navy bradley/fighter pilot jake as parents - hangster
directly follows this ask.
“While I appreciate where you’re coming from, as my son, I think it’s my God given right to invite whoever the hell I want into my home. And no, Bradley hasn’t been arrested or has a criminal record. He made sure to give me a history of himself to put any doubts I might have had after inviting him to come live with me.” There’s a short pause before his momma sighs down the line and adds, “Besides, Joyce made sure to get him fingerprinted and run them through the system to put her mind at ease. Boy’s got one parking ticket from when he was a teenager and still new to driving. And was involved in an accident but wasn’t driving nor in the car that was at fault when he was in his early 20s.” Jake feels a little of the tension leak from his frame as his mother goes on but he still can’t help but feel nervous and unsettled about her inviting a stranger to come live with her.
🍷 Jake's family causes the hangster break up
“Okay but what happens when they don’t like me?” Bradley asks, brow quirked as he smirks up at Jake, where he’s straddling Bradley’s hips. Scoffing, Jake rolls his eyes. “Darlin’, they couldn’t possibly do anything but love you.” Leaning down, he presses a smacking kiss to Bradley’s brow before straightening back up as he lifts his hands to cup his face. “My family’s gonna love you because you love me and make me happy, honey.”

How To Breathe ~ B. Bradshaw x Fem!Reader
Summary: Bradley would drop everything to help you, his girl, get through hard things.
Warnings: Anxiety, panic attack! Talks of mental disorder.
Tumblr media
For the longest time, you’ve felt like a burden when it comes to these episodes. No one understood what to say when you suddenly couldn’t breathe and the feeling of the world got too heavy. No one could comfort you until Bradley came along.
He never judged, in fact, when you told him about these panic attacks that strike you, he told you he was no stranger to anxiety. He felt the overwhelming feeling too sometimes, but he quickly learned the difference between the two of you, the first time you broke down around him.
Over the years, you’ve learned ways to subside these episodes, you determined triggers, you sought out medication to try and keep these things at bay.
Sometimes though, all the steps you take of prevention, just don’t work.
It was a beautiful night, you were dressed to the nines, along with many other women who accompanied their Navy men to this ceremony. Your hair was pinned up, showing off your shoulders, the neckline of your dress was tasteful in showing your delicate collarbones and the soft tops of your breasts. It was a deep midnight color that Bradley adored. In fact, it was hard for him to keep his hands off of you and act professional all night.
He had disappeared with some of the boys and you stood in the corner of the room with women you were introduced to by Bob’s wife. They were kind enough, though a few were more passive aggressive. They talked about nonsense really, they unfaithfulness they’ve had to deal with in the early parts of their marriage, all their questions about when you’ll have kids, why you don’t have kids and why you aren’t married. You felt the itch start, the one that made you feel a little dizzy and made it hard to swallow. You took a deep breath and pushed through, then one of the older women insisted on dragging you through the crowd and introducing you to many other wives who threw silent judgement your way.
The music that played was loud, you constantly bumped into people which made you constantly apologize. Your stomach flipped, your chest started to hurt, you looked around for a familiar face and they were all gone. You were in a sea of people all looking at you like you shouldn’t be there.
Here it came, the crash of panic.
Your breath quickened, you gulped for air and spun around, trying to find your way back to the people you knew. You pushed past people, a hand splayed over your chest.
“You made it back alive.” Bob’s wife, Lindsey, had joked before she took in your appearance. She sees the look of your blown eyes and drained face. “What’s wrong?”
You couldn’t speak, your head shook. “I need air.” You managed to croak.
Immediately, she rushes you from the event halls ballroom and quickly pulled you through the corridors. You pass Maverick and Jake who were in a discussion with other Captains, once they seen you blow by, there concern grew too.
“What’s wrong? What’s happening?” Jake had asked, him and Mav following after the two of you. He pulled open the big doors that led to the back steps.
You were overwhelmingly embarrassed that more people had to see you like this, looking frail, tears clouding your vision as you heaved in and out.
You tried to hide this part of you from everyone, but because of the closeness Mav and Bradley had, Mav knew what this was.
“Where’s Rooster?” He questioned.
“Bob will know.” Lindsey said, moving her grip away and letting you lean on Jake- who is still wildly confused. “Follow me, Mav.” She rushes back inside, the manhunt for the pilot was on.
“Okay, you’re fine.” Jake panicked, looking around for a solution. He placed a firm hand on your arm, but you were so dazed with your thoughts blaring at you, you didn’t know what was happening. You leaned your weight against him, your frame still shaking.
Bradley had been in another room, catching up with pilots he hadn’t seen in a while. Utterly relaxed with a glass in his hand, he didn’t expect the way the door bursted open.
“Rooster, you need to come quick.” Lindsey rushed out, confusing the room.
“What’s wrong?” He asked, standing from his leaned position against a table.
Mav looked at him knowingly. “You’re needed outside immediately.”
Rooster put the pieces together, then he was off without another word. His dress shoes clacked against the flooring as he rushed to the open door to the back gardens. He could see your frame and the way Jake held you, his mind raced because even though he and Jake were good now, he wanted to shove his hands off of his perfect girl.
“Rooster I don’t know what’s wrong with her-” Jake began to explain, but Bradley only gave him a look to shut it. “It’s fine Hangman, she’s okay.”
“She’s hyperventilating!” Jake gently nudged you away from him.
“Don’t yell.” Bradley said in a low warning voice as the loud tone made you quake. He pulls you from Jake, then looks to the others in the doorway. “She’s fine, go back inside.”
They weren’t going to question Bradley, not when it came to you.
As they leave, he gains a more softer persona. “Hey, honey. It’s alright.” He coos, holding your face in his hands. Your makeup smeared from your hot tears, your lips wobble. “I…can’t…breathe.” It comes out broken, he just nods.
“Yes you can, breathe with me.”
“No!” You snap, squirming. “This dress- it’s too tight- I can’t breathe.”
Immediately, Bradley reaches behind you and yanks at the zipper, the force of it rips the material of the dress in some parts. It loosens the tight bodice of the dress and immediately you sob with relief.
“There we go, it’s all okay. This will be over soon, don’t let those thoughts tell you otherwise wise.” He reaches for your fisted hand. He spreads your fingers out, then pulls at the buttons of his dress uniform until he can slide your hand over his chest, pressing it against his ironed shirt so you can feel his steady heartbeat.
“You remember your breathing?” His voice is soft and a lulling comfort. “Come on, breathe in through your nose and hold it, then out through your mouth.”
“I can’t.” You shake your head, but he persists, on hand holding yours to his chest, his other holding the side of your neck. “Yes you can, you’re my brave girl, I know you can.”
Together, you breathe. He feels the pulse in your neck start slow and he wants to sigh with relief.
“Good job, baby. That’s my girl, keep breathing for me. Good girl.”
Your vision clears, you gaze up at him with reddened eyes. The storm is passing and here he was at the end of it.
“I’m sorry.” Are the first calm words from your mouth.
“No, don’t ever be sorry.” He smooths the top of your hair.
It sniffle. “I hate how I’m like this, always raining on parades.”
Bradley shake his head. “You never ruin anything, things like this just happen, my girl.”
You lean your body into him, arms heavy to fully wrap around him so you just grasp the sides of his coat. His strong arms are warm as they wrap around you, like a security blanket, instantly soothing you.
“You want to go home?” He asks and you don’t lift your head to nod, he just feels the movement on his chest.
Bradley only pulls back to slip his coat off and wrap it around you instead, trying to hide the back of your ripped dress. Your hands wrap around his arm as the two of you walk back inside. He stops to say goodbye to Maverick, explaining everything was fine but he was going to take you home.
You were quiet the whole ride, much like your two bedroom home when you arrive.
“Are you hungry?” Bradley asks.
“No.” You answer, laying the coat over the back of the couch and kick your heels off. He kisses the top of your head. “Why don’t you take a hot shower? That’ll help with the headache.”
You loved the way he always knew you, always knew the symptoms that come afterwards, always knew how to help.
You nod, making your way to the shared master bedroom. Your clothes fall into a pile on the floor, you walk into the bathroom and wrap a robe around yourself. In front of the mirror, you struggle to pull all the pins that hold your thick hair up.
“Brad!” You call out, sighing with defeat.
After a second, he’s coming in behind you. You look up at him through the reflection. “I can’t get my hair down.” You explain.
Without a complaint, he starts dropping your hair pins onto the counter. Soon, your curls are falling down softly.
The warm water falls down like rainfall as you enter the shower, you let your head fall forward as the tension in your body leaves. You rub at your face, wiping clean of any salty tears and makeup.
Bradley joins you after a moment, leaving a kiss on your wet shoulder. You turn to face him, a small smile on your lips.
“Ah, there’s my girl.” He grins, which in return makes you grin.
You stare up at him, determining that he was the love of your life and nothing was going to change that.
“What are you thinking about?” He asks, seeing your deep look.
You shrug. “I’m just thinking that you’d be the best husband a girl could ask for and yet you won’t ask me to be your wife.”
Bradley laughs then pulls you into him, his hands holding the sides of your face. “You want to be tied to me forever?” He asks in sarcasm, as if you’re supposed to say no.
You nod instead. “I want to be the other half of you, I want you to be the better half of me forever.”
His eyebrows knit together like they always do when he’s feeling some sort of raw emotion. He leans his forehead down to rest against yours. “I’d be lying if I said marrying you wasn’t on my mind all the time.” He says.
Your fingers run through his wet hair. “But it’s soon.”
“A year is long enough for me if it’s long enough for you.”
You laugh, it’s a sweet melody he loves to hear, especially after an evening like the one you had. You lean up on your toes slightly to kiss him, warm water rushes around the two of you but it’s not an inconvenience. Bradley’s grip tightens ever so slightly, his lips pressed against yours in a sort of hunger, like you’re the only thing that can fill him. You pull away slowly, eyes still shut as you chew your bottom lip, thinking.
Your bright eyes open once you’ve found your words. “People get married sooner, all the time.” You declare, giving him your answer.
He fights a boyish vandal grin. “This is not a proposal.” He claims. “But it’s a promise of one, soon.”
Your mind might be a war zone, you might believe you’re damaged at this point, but here stood the strongest man you knew, and he’s washing your hair for you. His rough hands are utterly gentle as they help wash your skin, they’re wrapping a towel around you and leading you out of the shower. He’s pushing all those lies away, the only thing inside you now was a fuzzy burn of utter admiration and love. He falls asleep first, facing you, an arm snug around your waist and you’re left to trace the features of his face with your eyes. In this soft moment, wrapped in bedsheets, you determine that you might drown your entire life.
But he’ll teach you how to breathe.

Uptown Girl - Bradley Bradshaw x Reader
Tumblr media
summary: Bradley is in love with the admiral's daughter. He needs to win her heart the best way he knows how - serenading her with the help of his friends.
pairing: Bradley Bradshaw x reader
warnings: swearing, Jake teasing Bradley about being old.
word count: 2k
Tumblr media
“Man, I can’t just go talk to her.”
Bradley put his head in his hands as he sat at the back of the Hard Deck with his friends. Running his long fingers through his short, golden-brown curls, he sighed before looking up, his hazel eyes full of anxiety and frustration. He’d been pining after a girl who’d become a regular at the local bar for a while - the first day he’d seen her, he was smitten.
She’d come in with her long hair pulled back into a sleek, high ponytail, a warm, friendly smile on her features as she spoke with a few others in the bar. Bradley had wondered who she was, and where she’d come from, a question none of his squadron seemed to know the answer to. That was, until their team lead, and Bradley’s surrogate father of sorts, piped up with an explanation, having heard Bradley audibly swooning over how great she was to everyone in earshot.
“That’s Admiral Simpson’s daughter. I wouldn’t try your luck there, if I were you, Bradley,” Maverick had warned, smirking as he took a sip from his beer glass as he looked over between Bradley and his mystery girl.
Bradley had gone quiet upon learning this information, unable to even fire back at his friend Jake’s retorts and quips about how Bradley was punching above his weight on this one, even as a skilled aviator. In a way, Jake was right, no amount of skill or experience in the air, no number of awards for his service, or medals of honor could put him in the same league as the Admiral’s daughter. Her father had recently become the commander of the entire Pacific fleet, and Bradley was just a lieutenant, serving as an aviator for the past 19 years, his entire naval career.
At nearly 40, Bradley was beginning to consider retirement, weighing his options between becoming a flight instructor for Top Gun, the very flight academy program that he’d graduated from himself, or, ending his naval career to enter civilian life happily. With the exception of Maverick, the rest of his team were considerably younger than he was, the next oldest being Jake, at barely 35. Admiral Simpson’s daughter was easily a decade younger than him, if not more, and probably accustomed to much more in life than anything Bradley could offer her. Naval rank aside, she was likely much more used to living the life of luxury, where as Bradley had never really experienced it, outside of the odd frivolous purchase here or there, like his 1972 Ford Bronco, custom painted bright blue to restore it to its former glory when he purchased it.
Despite all these reasons why Bradley should just forget this juvenile feeling crush he’d developed on her, he couldn’t shake it. Every time he caught a glimpse of her stunning smile, or heard her infectious laugh, the sweetest sound his ears had ever come across, he couldn’t help but fall right back into it again, like a trap that was set perfectly for him. Bradley was head over heels, but worst of all,
“You’re fucked, man. You can’t win here.”
Bradley sighed again as he shook his head, bringing himself back to the present moment. He looked up at Jake, who, upon seeing the confused look on Bradley’s face, laughed and repeated himself.
“I said, you’re fucked, man. There’s no winning here, you either go in there, you say hi to this girl and you ask her out, her dad finds out and you get your ass shipped out to another base faster than you can salute, or you ask her out and she turns your old ass down, either way, you’re going to end up unhappy and not with her,” Jake shrugged as he sipped his beer, leaning on his pool cue.
Bob, the more shy, reserved of Bradley’s team, shook his head. He pushed his glasses up on the end of his nose, adjusting them as he set his plastic cup down on the bar counter, shrugging his shoulders as he interjected, a rare occurrence for Bob, most of the time.
“I mean…Bradley could probably win her over,” He said quietly, nodding his head, “It wouldn’t be hard, I mean, he has an impressive career record, he’s a nice guy, he’s not bad to look at,” Bob shrugged, “I think he could pull it off. It’s her dad I’d be worried about. But, maybe he wouldn’t care so much? It’s not like Bradley’s gonna – what’s that term again? Hump and go? Surf and turf?”
“You mean hump and dump?” Jake snickered, shaking his head, “I think Brad here’s a bit old to pull off the hump and dump nowadays anyways. Maybe 20 years ago.”
“Easy, I only just turned 39 in June, thanks.”
“39 is practically old enough to be a grandfather, Bradley,”
“Oh come on, it is not,” Bradley frowned as he looked at his friends. Bob fiddled with his glasses nervously, avoiding eye contact, Jake smirked as he held back a laugh, and Reuben and Mickey pretended they didn’t hear the conversation, focusing instead on their game of darts taking place a couple of feet away, “Is it?”
“How many years older than you is Mav, man?”
“I dunno,” Bradley shrugged his shoulders, “22, maybe? 23?”
“Right, so when he was 39, you were…?”
“Uh,” Bradley looks up at the ceiling as he counts in his head, trying to work out the math, “16?”
“Right…you see where I’m going with this?”
“Fuck, you’re right, I could be someone’s grandfather. Jesus Christ,” Bradley frowned, shaking his head as he sipped his beer again.
“Relax, you’d have to had a kid at like, 23 or earlier, who also had a kid young for it to work, but it’s not impossible, is all,” Jake nodded matter of factly as he sipped his drink. Jake grinned as he spotted the girl in question walking by their seats, his elbow sharply poking Bradley in the ribcage as he nodded his head slightly in her direction.
“Now’s your chance, loverboy. Take it now if you’re gonna shoot your shot,” Jake whispered with a smirk on his lips.
Bradley nodded his head once and took a deep breath as he set his beer bottle down on the table. With a nervous smile, he put his aviators down over his eyes to hide their anxious gaze before heading over to the piano. If there was one thing Bradley could do to win her over, it’d be serenading the bar with a fun, classic upbeat tune. Normally, he’d go for his favourite, Great Balls of Fire by Jerry Lewis, but desperate times called for desperate measures. Bradley put a hand on Jake’s shoulder, his grip firm as he leaned in to whisper to him.
“How confidently can you sing Uptown Girl?”
“You mean like, “uptown girl, she’s been living in her uptown world, I bet she’s never had a backstreet guy…?” Jake laughed as he cocked his eyebrow, singing the chorus of the song in his slightly off key baritone, “Oh, you’re not seriously doing this, are you?” He drawled, shaking his head before shooting Bob, Reuben and Mickey a look of disbelief.
“I love that song!” Bob said enthusiastically as he stood to his feet, “We’ve got your back, buddy, let’s go win her heart!”
Jake rolled his eyes and laughed before following Bradley and his friends to the piano. Bradley took his seat on the piano bench, lowering his sunglasses to make eye contact with his dream girl’s gaze, a confident smirk on his face as he winked at her before putting his glasses back on. He wasn’t sure if it was the beer coursing through his veins or the sheer smitten head over heels side of him taking over, but his new found confidence had Bradley playing the opening bars of the 80s hit on the piano, his friends offering nothing but encouragement for his somewhat ridiculous idea. It wasn’t the smoothest way to get a girl’s attention, but, it was different, and would almost certainly stand out in her mind, he reasoned with himself.
“Uptown girl, she’s been living in her uptown world. I bet she’s never had a backstreet guy, I bet her momma’s never told her why,”
Bradley sang out, his deep, gravelly voice ringing out as he carried each note perfectly in tune as he played the song’s melody on the piano.
“And now she’s looking for a downtown man, that’s what I am,”
Bradley’s eyes met with hers as he sang, unable to stop himself from smiling wider than he probably should have as he belted the song out, making it clear that out of the crowd of people around them singing along, his full intent was just to get her attention on him.
“And when she knows what she wants from her time, and when she wakes up and makes up her mind,”
Bob, Jake, Reuben and Mickey harmonized alongside Bradley, making for a perfectly imperfect set of backing vocals. While none of the four of Bradley’s backup singers were particularly great singers, their harmonies were enough support for Bradley to carry his way through the song without looking like he’d just lost his mind and started breaking out into song.
“She’ll see I’m not so tough, just because, I’m in love with an uptown girl, you know I’ve seen her in her uptown world. She’s getting tired of her high class toys, and all her presents from her uptown boys, she’s got a choice,”
As Bradley continued to sing it out, with his friends as moral and vocal support, he noticed that his mystery girl was making her way closer to the piano, seemingly leaving behind whoever she had arrived with as she inched her way towards the man who was apparently serenading her in the middle of a crowded bar near a naval base. She flashed him a smile, her cheeks a soft blush as she raised an eyebrow at him. Bradley couldn’t tell if the blush in her features was from embarrassment or flattery, but he hoped it was the latter of the two.
“And when she’s walking, she’s looking so fine, and when she’s talking, she’ll say that she’s mine,”
Bob and Jake began dramatically singing with one another, using Jake’s empty beer bottle as a makeshift microphone, while Mickey excitedly drummed along with his hands on the wooden top of the piano. Reuben began dancing slightly as he sang along to the words, all four men now completely immersing themselves in their performance with Bradley, and all four likely contemplating how they’d get Bradley to repay them for their public humiliation in the name of getting him a potential date.
Bradley grinned as she approached the piano, her hands resting on the wooden top as he played the last few notes of the song, his eyes completely fixated on hers. To him, at that moment, she was the only person in the room. The only face he cared about in the crowded bar was hers, and now, it was right here, standing in front of him.
“You’ve got quite the talent,” She curled her sheer, gloss-coated lips up into a grin as she leaned on the top of the piano, looking directly at Bradley.
“I’m a man of many talents, this was just a couple of them on display,” He nodded his head once, trying to keep his composure as she leaned towards him, willing his eyes to not wander down her body, “I’m Bradley. Lieutenant Bradley Bradshaw, US Naval Air Force,” He said his title with a sense of pride that he hoped didn’t come off as bragging.
“Nice to meet you, Lieutenant,” She grinned, pointing to his empty beer bottle that sat atop the piano beside her, “Care to grab another one of those with me?”
“Absolutely,” Bradley said as he hopped off the piano bench at an almost breakneck pace, leaving Jake, Bob, Reuben and Mickey fighting off fits of laughter at Bradley’s eagerness.

Warnings: Angst, fluff, mentions of sex while intoxicated, mentions of sexual assault
Length: 2200 words
Pairing: Bradley "Rooster" Bradshaw x Female Reader
This was written to accompany my series Is It Working For You? along with a bunch of my one-shots and other series, but it can be read on its own! Check my masterlist for the reading order.
Tumblr media
When you walked into the Hard Deck with Bradley's arm slung over your shoulder, you looked up at him and said, "This is the first time we've been here together since we got married."
"You're right," he rasped, kissing your forehead. "And now I've got this new hardware on my finger that repels all other women."
"Oh, that sounds nice," you told him with a laugh as you led the way through the huge New Year's Eve crowd. "That one over there is looking at you, Roo. Hold up your left hand."
He rolled his eyes and chuckled. "You're the only one I'm looking at, Baby Girl."
"That's Mrs. Bradshaw to you."
Bradley smirked when you smiled at him. "You're just begging to leave early, aren't you?"
You shrugged casually, but you knew for a fact that you'd be able to get Bradley to leave before midnight if you bugged him enough. If you told him you wanted him to take you to bed, he'd be leading you back to the Bronco right away.
But instead you walked into Jake's open arms and hugged him. "Angel," he drawled as he turned you to face the bar. "Your cute coworker is here."
You searched the bar area, and sure enough your eyes found Cat Coleman's, and she waved to you. "Why don't you go talk to her?" you suggested, but Jake adamantly refused.
"No, it was just an observation," he said before wandering over to Nat. He was so transparent, it was ridiculous.
"Okay, Jake," you muttered, and then Bradley was handing you a beer.
"Hey, how was your trip to Maryland for Christmas?" Nat asked as she gave you a hug.
Before you could even respond, Jake loudly said, "Didn't you hear? They didn't even go anywhere at all. Rooster here has been trying to figure out how things work since he lost his virginity on their wedding night. Missed Christmas all together since he's been trying for weeks to find the clit."
You started laughing, and you could feel and hear Bradley's laughter behind you.
"Hey, Hangman," he said, chuckling. "Fuck you."
"Yeah, Hangman," Nat replied. "That's not how Rooster lost his virginity. I know the whole scoop on that one." She was wiggling her eyebrows and looking smug.
"You do?" you asked Nat, suddenly shocked at the realization that you had no idea about any of the details of your husband's first time.
You turned to look up at Bradley as he sipped his beer, cheeks pink as he met your gaze.
"Yep," Nat replied, her tone teasing. "Seventeen years old in the backseat of his car with a college girl. An older woman!"
"Really?" you asked Bradley, and he just nodded at you. "She was in college? How old was she?"
"Twenty," Bradley told you quietly while Nat and Jake hooted loud enough to get Payback and Fanboy in on the conversation, too. You could vaguely hear them all comparing their own virginity dirty details, but all you could see was the strange look on Bradley's face.
"What's wrong, Roo?" you asked, wrapping your arms around his waist. "Would a quickie in the bathroom make you feel better?" You started to pull him toward the hallway with a grin, but he just shook his head.
"Nah. Not tonight."
You couldn't remember the last time he had turned you down in any capacity. Had he ever? Certainly not recently since you'd come off birth control, since you'd become his wife. You were honestly a little stunned.
"Tell me what's wrong."
"Nothing, Sweetheart," he replied, kissing your forehead. "Wanna play pool?"
But you could tell something was definitely bothering him, even after you agreed to be his partner against Jake and Javy. Because he was awfully quiet compared to how he normally was, and his smile just wasn't quite reaching his eyes.
But he still pulled you into his arms whenever you were near him, so you let him play a few rounds of pool and have another beer before you tugged on his hand. "Ready to head home?" you asked, tucking yourself against his side.
"You don't want to stay until midnight?" he asked, eyebrows raised as you looked up at him.
"No. I want to take you home, Roo."
It took twenty minutes to say goodbye to everyone which meant that you were just pulling into the driveway at the stroke of midnight. Bradley had been singing along to his Motown playlist, and when he put the Bronco in park, you climbed onto his lap.
"Happy New Year, Baby Girl," he rasped. Then your lips softly met his while he finished singing Baby I Need Your Loving.
"Will you tell me what's wrong now, Roo?" you asked. You didn't want to press him if he didn't want to talk about it, but he'd been fine when you first arrived at the bar.
"It's nothing. It's so stupid," he whispered, taking the key out of the ignition and sighing as he climbed out with you in his arms. Once he set you down, you strolled up to the front door with him right at your heels, and you paused with the key in the lock.
"Okay. But you listen to me all the time. Even when it's something stupid."
"You never say anything stupid, Baby Girl," he kissed your cheek as you opened the door. He was being lovely, but you wanted him to open up for you. He always felt better whenever he did.
When you made your way to the bedroom and turned on the lamp on your nightstand, Bradley's beautiful face was bathed in soft light, but his brow was pinched in frustration. You pressed your lips together to keep yourself quiet, and a minute later, you were rewarded not only by your husband in just his underwear, but also by his voice.
"You know how Nat said she knows how I lost my virginity?"
He was looking down at the bedding and running his fingers through his hair when you whispered, "Yeah?" You crawled to the middle of the bed, but he remained standing next to his side.
"Well, she doesn't really know what happened. Nobody does." He laughed a bit awkwardly. "Well I guess one other person does."
You nodded and patted the bed. "Do you want to talk about it?"
"No," he grunted as he collapsed back against the pillows. "It makes me uncomfortable."
And for the first time ever, you felt like maybe he didn't want you to touch him. You were dying to know what was bothering him. No matter what it was, you wanted to try to fix it, try to give him comfort. That's what he always did for you. But you were at a complete loss right now, silently begging your husband to keep talking.
He swallowed hard, and you watched his Adam's apple move against the scars on his neck. "Yeah, I was seventeen. Yeah, it was in the backseat of my mom's old, white station wagon that I had been driving. Yeah, it was with a girl who was in college. Her name was Morgan."
You licked your lips and kept your eyes on him while he looked at the ceiling. "I told you this was stupid, Sweetheart. I don't know why it still bothers me." When he reached out for your hand, you felt instantly better and worse at the same time. "I was drunk. It was a little while after my mom died, and I was living with her cousin Brenda. You remember Brenda, from when we were in Virginia?"
"Of course," you replied, playing with his fingers. "How could I forget? I met her when we got engaged. She wants us to come visit again this summer."
"Yeah," Bradley agreed. "Brenda is great." Then he paused for a few beats. "And you know, she tried so hard to make me feel comfortable and welcome there, but I just... didn't. I spent my senior year of high school partying with this group of college kids. We'd all go out in this wooded area near the lake and drink cheap liquor on the weekends. It was right after Mav pulled my papers. A couple months before my eighteenth birthday."
When he reached for you, there was no hesitation as you scrambled into his arms. You settled against his chest, his warm skin and the steady beat of his heart calmed you immediately, and you hoped you were giving him some comfort as well.
"That girl, Morgan? I thought she was so cool at first. She was studying anthropology. She was smart. She got me drunk and didn't get upset when I talked about my mom. We would make out by the lake. Then one night, I was so drunk, and she told me to take her to my car. I thought we were just going to make out in the backseat."
"Oh, Bradley." You felt sick to your stomach.
"I didn't tell her no, but I was too drunk to say much of anything. She knew that, but we did it anyway. In the back of my mom's car."
You squeezed him tight as tears leaked from your eyes. "Roo. She took advantage of you. She should have never. That is not okay."
He sighed, and the sound of it made more tears fill your eyes. "I've never told anyone about it before. I feel a little better now."
"I love you, Roo," you promised, meeting his eyes. And somehow he was the one wiping your tears away when you were supposed to be comforting him. "You sweet man. That wasn't stupid. And you can tell me when something is bothering you. I want you to."
"I know," he agreed. "But sometimes it's hard to think about that night for more than a second. I try not to."
Then you sobbed as realization washed over you, and he pulled you a little closer. "Oh, Bradley! I've convinced you to have sex with me when you were drunk! More than once!"
"No, no, stop," he said firmly, kissing your lips. "It's not the same, Baby Girl."
"But if I ever made you feel uncomfortable-"
"No," he said, shaking his head. "We are in a committed relationship. We have been pretty much from the start. I always want you, and I initiate it 90% of the time when I've been drinking. You always have my consent, and I know you'd stop if I ever gave you the impression that I didn't want it. And I know you would never hurt me."
"Never," you agreed, letting your cheek rest on his shoulder. After a few minutes, you whispered, "You know, there's one really positive thing that came from this though."
"Is there?" he asked, a little skeptical as you stroked your fingers along his tattoo.
"Yeah. You're the consent king. And I think you always were, even before we met."
"Hmm," he grunted. "Yeah, that's really important to me."
"I love that," you told him, kissing up along his neck until you reached his lips. "And I love you. And you're mine. And Morgan can take her anthropology degree and fucking kick rocks while she thinks about how terrible she is."
Bradley laughed. And your face melted into a smile as you realized how tense your body had been.
"I fucking love you," he promised. And you knew he did.
-----------------------------
When you woke up the next morning to Bradley's lips on your shoulder as you were draped across him, you whispered, "Happy New Year."
"Mmhmm," he hummed against your skin. You wanted him in the worst way. He was so big and warm, and he smelled so good. He was yours. He was your husband. He was patient and sweet and everything you needed. And now, especially today, you wanted to make sure he knew that you really saw him.
"Is it okay if I touch you?"
His lips paused on your shoulder as he rasped, "Yes. Please, touch me."
So you let your hands roam along the muscular planes of his abdomen and chest. You gently dug your fingers into his bicep. You grazed the scars on his cheek with your nose.
"Will you let me kiss you, Roo?"
He responded by kissing you first. His mustache was rough against your skin, but everything else about his embrace was so soft. His lips lingered before chasing yours over and over again.
Your voice was soft, lips brushing his. "I want to have sex with you, if that's what you want."
He kissed his way along your jaw to your ear. "I see what you're doing here, Baby Girl. And I love you for it. Yes, I want to have sex with you, too."
So you took it nice and slow, and you made sure he was comfortable, even though you were certain you could read all of his cues by now. But you'd remember to take that extra step here and there. It wouldn't be hard to do, because he always gave you more than you ever expected. You'd always remind him that what he wanted and needed was important to you, because that was exactly how he made you feel every day.
-------------------------
This one hurts a little bit. Because this really happens. I hope you can't relate to what Roo went through here, but if you can, I love you. Thanks @mak-32 and @beyondthesefourwalls.

Jake had warned him that this family gathering would be a shit show, and that he should have just let Jake come here alone.
Bradley had learned long ago that Jake can and will go through uncomfortable situations completely by himself and come out on the other side stronger than before.
But only because that‘s what he had always had to do.
Bradley simply won’t let him do it anymore.
So when one of Jake‘s aunts asks when he‘ll get over himself and marry a nice girl like God intended –while completely ignoring Bradley‘s presence at his side- Bradley keeps his facial features in check and takes a step closer to press his shoulder into Jake‘s, offering silent support.
Jake freezes for a moment before he leans into it and puts one of his disarming smiles on his face.
"Aunt Mary, have I introduced you to my boyfriend yet? This is Bradley."
Aunt Mary lifts her chin and raises a eyebrow, displeased by Jake‘s open defiance and being put on the spot by her nephew.
Bradley doesn‘t offer her his hand but his mother had raised him right, so he says "Nice to meet you, ma'am" as neutrally as he can manage, only to be further ignored.
Aunt Mary doesn’t find her Southern manners before Jake has shifted his glass to his other hand so he‘s free to take Bradley‘s into his, entwining their fingers between them.
She goes red in the face and Bradley keeps his face straight, although she reminds him of a cartoon character with her frilly hat about to lift off because of all the steam coming out of her ears.
She loses the stare-off and leaves in a huff, mumbling something about praying for Jake.
Jake rolls his eyes but Bradley doesn’t miss the way his Adam‘s apple bops.
"Always a fun time, seeing the family," Jake says brightly, looking over for the first time since Aunt Mary had stopped him with a hand on his arm.
He squeezes Bradley‘s hand. "Sorry 'bout that. Like I said, you should have just stayed home, Bradshaw."
Bradley starts moving his thumb and steps into Jake‘s space more, giving his boyfriend a moment to breathe and hide.
"Not happening. You okay?"
"I‘m good."
Bradley smiles.
He quickly considers leaning in for a kiss, his hand itching to cradle Jake‘s face, but he keeps it by his side.
He can feel the eyes on his neck and is happy to shield Jake from the disapproving stares for a moment.
"Too good to be true?"
Jake laughs a little, dipping his chin.
"You know it."
Bradley waits for him to look up again. He sees the bravado on Jake‘s face disappear for a moment, just between them. Just for Bradley.
"It’s okay if you‘re not, sweetheart," he reassures him, more quietly. "I got you."
"We got each other, babe."
Bradley smiles.
"We do."
Jake nods. "I‘m ready to get out of here," he confesses.
"Alright. Let‘s roll." He takes the glass from Jake and puts it on the next best surface, squeezes his hand and starts pulling him along.
He navigates their way through the throng of people and waves at Jake‘s sister and her husband, with Jake‘s niece bouncing on his arm, when they notice them leaving.
Jocelyn takes one look at her brother and nods them along. They’re invited over to their house for breakfast the next morning, before their flight out. They‘re the only two people here that Bradley likes, other than Jake‘s grandma.
They‘re in the parking lot before they know it and Bradley guides Jake to the passenger door.
Jake drove them to the church that morning, but Bradley‘d rather take them back to their hotel and give Jake a moment to decompress.
The fact that Jake doesn’t complain as Bradley opens the door for him is a little worrying, but when he gets into the driver‘s seat, Jake pulls him into a kiss over the middle console and Bradley thinks they‘re both gonna be fine.
He puts extra much love into the kiss though, just to make sure.
____
I‘m also putting these drabbles here by the way. (You need to be logged in to see.)

Get your motor runnin' - 1/6
Bradley, a bit of a (very talented) grease monkey and Jake, who has been sent to see him because he's apparently the best mechanic Maverick knows.
A longer fleshed out fic at the request of @poetryandpickles based on their idea in this post. Likely going to be 3-4 parts and likely an excuse for lots of smut. Just as an FYI.
PART ONE
It’s been a busy week but he’s managed to clear the bulk of the work, ordered parts actually arriving early or on time like some damned miracle. He’s managed to get people’s vehicles back to them before they expected, which always makes for happy customers. He has a loyal base, and he knows they recommend him wider afield. It keeps him busy and the bills paid. He likes it, positioned in the small area of Oak Hills. Close enough to both China Lake and North Island to enable visiting if he feels like it but not close enough that anyone can just pop in. Not that that stops Mav, but he suspects he could live in another country and Mav would still find a way of turning up unannounced.
He hadn’t intended to become a mechanic, but he had sort of fallen into it. Time tinkering on cars with Mav and his struggle to remain focussed in the classroom had meant when he’d raised the idea of entering an apprenticeship with a diesel mechanic Mav had been incredibly supportive. After insisting he get his GED. That had been the incentive he’d needed to act, and then he’d finished up and entered his first year. He’d worked hard, and it had paid off, his boss involving him in more and more challenging jobs and Bradley grew into someone that could often tell what was wrong just by listening to the engine.
Then he’d been encouraged to undertake further study, which he’d balked at, because study. But then learning about auto electrical work tied in so nicely with what he was already doing it didn’t even seem like study, simply common sense and he’d become the best damned mechanic Robbie had working for him, a fact he’d been proud of. Then he’d decided to start up his own business, sat down with Mav and Ice and talked about his parents’ house and life insurance and then they’d agreed. Robbie had a friend that was selling up and now he’s been here four years, and he thinks the locals might actually start calling him a local too soon. Any day now.
…            …            …
Jake’s not sure why he’s driven all the way out here, he’s driven past three other mechanics on the way to this garage and it’s only because Maverick had recommended this place that he’d kept the address in his GPS and followed it out here. For nearly two fucking hours. Who drives a dodgy car two hours to get to the mechanic? He’s hot and tired, the air conditioning unit in his car broken, well, not broken but it’s leaking something Jake doesn’t want to look too closely at but which he hopes is water. The trunk of his car now fills up with water when it rains, which had been an incredibly unpleasant surprise to find when he returned from his most recent deployment. He likes water, but he doesn’t need or want it in his car.
He pulls down a dusty road and looks around, a little worried suddenly that Maverick has sent him on a wild goose chase and he’s going to end up the next victim of a mass murderer. But no, there it is, a large shed with four roller doors, all open in deference to the summer heat. There’s two different types of tow trucks parked up out front, one looking large enough to tow a truck, and there’s also large earth moving equipment parked up and he wonders if he’s in the right place. Then he spies it, the sign declaring it as Bradshaw’s, and that’s who Mav had sent him to see. The best mechanic he knew, apparently, which Jake considers high praise coming from someone like Maverick Mitchell. He parks up and gets out, leaves the door open just in case he needs to run and make a fast get away; heads inside toward where he can music coming from a radio, Meat Loaf singing about love.
                “Hello?”
He can see a body under an old van and he walks closer, repeats his greeting and hopes the guy isn’t too old. He doesn’t want to give him a heart attack or something. Then the creeper is coming from out beneath the beaten-up van and it’s legs legs legs and for fucks sake, who needs legs that long? This guy apparently, and the legs are clothed in grease-stained coveralls, but they’re tied around the guy’s waist, which is now appearing, and he’s wearing a threadbare white tank, and it’s damp with sweat, so damp Jake can see fucking nipples. He’s seen porn that starts like this.
He swallows roughly, takes in the broad chest, arms, muscles and shoulders all appearing like he’s watching in slow motion and okay, the long legs make more sense now if they have to carry all that around. He thought that he might cause a heart attack but now he’s starting to wonder if he’s going to have one instead. He wasn’t expecting this. He’d been expecting someone Maverick’s age, or older. Jesus. He thinks the heat might be getting to him, because it suddenly feels much hotter than it was a few minutes ago.
“Can I help you?” the guy asks, and he’s just lying there looking up at Jake, not even bothering to stand although he has raised his head a little and Jake can see his abdominal muscles and he was not prepared for this.
“I’m,” he coughs to clear his throat, which is of course as dry as the desert. “I’m looking for Bradshaw?”
“You found him. How can I help?” the apparent Bradshaw repeats, and he’s bracing and rolling off the creeper, coming to a stand in front of Jake, wiping his hands on a cloth pulled from his back pocket and Jake doesn’t know if it’s helped remove anything or just smeared it around some more.
“I, uh. My car’s got some issues. My CO, uh, commanding officer, he said you were the best mechanic he knew.”
                “Of course he did.”
                “Do you know him?”
“Maverick? Yeah, you could say that.”
Jake is surprised he guesses right, then again he supposes some people would consider knowing Maverick a bad thing, and this man looks a little resigned and he wonders exactly what this guy has done to earn Maverick’s high level of admiration, because he’s never met a man harder to please.
“So he sent you here, without calling first to check to see if I had time to work on it. Do you have another ride, or a place to stay?”
“Uh…” Jake blinks. He hadn’t thought of any of that, and he’s two hours away from his base accommodation in North Island. “Shit.”
“Let me take a look. Might be able to get her fixed up straight away and get you back on the road.”
If he can do that, then he really is the best mechanic.

Jake signed the lease for the new apartment immediately, and he and Bradley offered to get your things from Bob’s house while you were at work. You didn’t have much, and the first night you arrived at the new apartment, it felt like walking into an AirBnB.
“Haven’t had time to go to the store,” he said as you set your purse down. “So I ordered takeout.”
Jake lifted the lid on a container of pad thai and you took one sniff before covering your mouth with your hand, sprinting down the hallway, emptying your stomach into the porcelain toilet. After a moment you flushed, washing your hands and emerged back into the kitchen. Jake had closed all of the containers and stood with his eyes wide.
“Fuck,” he muttered quietly. “Are you OK?”
You nodded, sitting down on one of the stools. “Yeah, fine. It’s just some smells really get to me.”
“Take the room in the back,” he said. “It’s further from the kitchen and it has a bathroom attached.”
You grimaced. “So you’re saying I just puked in your bathroom?”
“Yup.”
“Lovely.” You folded your hands on top of each other on the granite countertop. “Was he there?” you whispered.
Jake nodded. “Yeah.”
“Was he mad?”
Jake paused. Then, “He, uh, he was upset.”
You frowned. You knew it was a bad idea to move out and not tell him, but you were too scared to have that confrontation, either. “I fucked everything up.”
“This is Bob’s thing,” Jake said and you raised your gaze. “He’s angry at me,” Jake added. “He’s angry at you. He’s angry in general. It’s not all your fault.”
“All,” you replied. “So it is my fault.”
“Well, yeah,” Jake said and to your surprise you laughed. He did, too. “That’s what little sisters are for. To cause trouble.”
“So you have sisters?” You realized you knew nothing about Jake besides what he looked like without clothes on.
He nodded. “Two. One older, one younger. My older sister has a son, Will. He’s three.”
“Uncle Jake,” you said. “Nope, sounds weird.”
“Not as weird as dad.”
A silence enveloped the two of you as you let the monumental impact of those words surround you. You looked up. “This is weird, right? It’s not just me?”
“It’s weird.” Jake stretched his arms wide across the edges of the kitchen island. “I’ve never lived with a woman before.”
“I’ve never lived with someone who wasn’t my family or a college roommate.”
He smiled gently. “Guess we both have a lot to learn.”
“I have to ask you something.”
“Go ahead.”
“This arrangement. It’s just convenient, right?”
“As opposed to?”
You shrugged. “Sex.”
Jake blushed. Literally blushed. You cracked a small smirk. “No,” he rushed and you nodded. “I mean, if you want.”
You rolled your eyes and he chuckled.
“Seriously, Y/N, this wasn’t about hooking up or shacking up together. I’m trying to do the right thing here.”
“You really are, aren’t you?” Your eyes rolled over Jake. His broad shoulders, the way he looked at you like you were the only item in an otherwise empty room. There was a magnitude associated with his gaze. It made you feel small, and so very large, at the same time.
“I’m going to be out of town for a few days,” Jake said. “Leaving on Thursday.”
“Bachelor party?”
“Mission.”
You sucked in a breath. “Is Bob going?”
Jake nodded. “We’re all going.”
“Should I be worried?”
Jake’s face softened. “We’re good at this, Y/N,” he said. “Very good.”
“That doesn’t answer my question.”
“You don’t have to be worried.”
“I’m always worried,” you replied instantly and Jake’s eyebrows shot up. “I’ve been worried about Bob the second he said he wanted to join the Navy.”
“Floyd will be fine.” There was a grit to his words.
“Promise me,” you said. “Promise me you’ll protect him.”
Jake nodded. “I’ll do my best to make sure he makes it back.”
***
The night you first met Jake, you had lied to Bob. You had said you were going out to meet a friend from college. The reality was, you went to the first dive bar you passed as you drove away from his house. You wanted a drink. But really, what you had wanted was knowing that you weren’t in Tennessee anymore.
And that meant getting drunk in a bar where you knew no one and where no one knew you. It meant you could be whoever you wanted to be. The first guy you spoke to thought you were a ballerina from the New York City Ballet. The second guy asked for your number so he could get piano lessons for his brother. The third wanted to see your Willy Nelson impression because you had lied and said you were a country singer.
By the time you were drunk, you ended up outside, watching the waves lap against the shore. The door to the bar swung open, light spilling out onto the deck, and a figure appeared at your side.
“Hey.” That was it. One word and he captivated you. It was the vodka. But also the way he looked when you turned. Golden hair and perfect teeth. That ideal amount of charisma and confidence and happiness that made you realize he wasn’t going to hurt you. He wasn’t a threat.
He was an opportunity.
“I’m—”
You stepped in closer, pressing your lips against his, letting your body melt into him. You broke away after a moment, his arms wrapped around your waist, eyes wide. “Don’t,” you whispered. “I don’t care who you are.”
He smirked. “Is that so?”
“Do you want to take me home or what?”
He nodded and you leaned in for a second kiss. This one was sweeter, passionate. His taste exploded on your tongue and his fingertips gripping your ass felt like little electrical sparks.
And to think you would never see him again.
***
The doorbell wouldn’t stop ringing.
You stepped out of your bedroom as Jake emerged in the hallway, yanking a shirt down over his bare chest. He held out a hand behind him. “Wait there,” he said gruffly. You peeked one head around the corner of the door frame, watching Jake approach the door carefully before yanking it open. “What?” he bellowed.
Bob stood in the doorway. “I want to see my sister.”
You stepped out into the hall. “Bobby? For fucks sake, it’s almost midnight.”
His eyes were rimmed with red as he stepped inside and he smelled sharp, like alcohol.
You frowned. “Have you been drinking?”
Bob shrugged. “Bradshaw and I had some beers.”
“What’s going on with you?” you whispered, moving closer.
Jake shifted to the side. “I'm going to go to my room.” He tossed a look at you. “Are you OK?”
You nodded. “Yeah, we’re fine.”
Bob narrowed his gaze. “She’s my sister, Hangman,” he snapped. “I can take care of her better than you ever could. You don’t have to ask her if she’s OK when she’s with me.”
Jake retreated to his room and you crossed your arms over your chest. ”Well, Bobby, what do you want?”
“To see you.”
“You’re seeing me,” you snapped. “So now you can go.”
“Ducky,” he said and you felt your heart melt a little. “I—”
“I don’t know what’s going on with you,” you interrupted, “but I don’t like it.”
“What’s going on with me?” Bob demanded. “What about what’s going on with you? You just leave, don’t say a word? Move in with Hangman of all people. And I have to hear it from Bradshaw.”
“I’m sorry about that,” you whispered. “But I think it’s for the best.”
“Nothing about this is good, Duck,” Bob said and you frowned.
“I know you’re not happy about the situation, but it is the situation. So either learn how to live with it, Bobby, or walk away.”
“What are you saying?” he asked, swaying side to side, the alcohol coursing through his veins.
You crossed your arms over your chest and sighed. “I’m saying, maybe you’re doing this because you’re afraid of losing me. And maybe you’re afraid of that because it’s a possibility. You’ve spent your entire life taking care of me. So maybe you feel like you don’t know who you are if I’m able to take care of myself.”
Bob’s eyes went wide behind his wire glasses.
“I love you,” you whispered and your voice choked a little at the last word, “but I need you to leave. Because until you figure out how you fit into my life, not how I fit into yours, I don’t think we should talk.”
“Ducky, I—”
“Leave,” you repeated, firmer this time. “Please.”
“No.”
“She’s asking you to leave, Floyd.” Jake appeared from the darkness, his voice firm and solid. “Do the right thing and go home and sleep this off.”
Bob’s eyes flitted between you and jake. You watched him swallow his words. He turned around and yanked the door open, slamming it shut behind him. You winced at the noise.
Jake put one hand on your shoulder. “Are you OK?”
You shook your head, tears filling your eyes. “No. Not at all.”
***
Jake left a few days later. The two of you had yet to find a routine. He stood awkwardly in the doorway, duffle bag at his feet. Finally,  he raised his eyes to yours. “We should be back next week.”
You nodded. “Alright.”
“I left the emergency number on the fridge for our team,” he added. “Just in case.”
“I’ll be fine,” you replied. “I’ve done this before, remember?”
“I haven’t.” There was something small about the way he said it. Jake shook his head. “Well, I should go.”
A part of you wanted to hug him. Do something so he stopped looking like a dog that had gotten kicked. But it felt like a boundary you didn’t want to cross. So instead, you said, “Good luck.”
“I’ll see you in five days.” Jake picked up his bag and opened the door.
“Jake?” you called out as he opened the door to his truck. He turned. “You’ll make sure he’s safe, right?”
“I’ll do my best.”
***
The days were long. Even though it had only been a week of living with Jake, there was still comfort in having someone else around. Without him, the apartment felt emptier than you could have ever imagined.
You and Bob had a routine before he went on missions. He would call you the morning he left and he would always say the same thing. I’ll see you at home.
It was what he said to you when you were little and he would drop you off at your classroom in the morning. It was what he said when you were slightly older and he’d wave at you from a different bus. Even when you were a teenager and he came home from the academy, he would kiss your forehead before he left and whisper that he’d see you at home.
Home was wherever Bob was. Or at least, that’s where it used to be.
You no longer knew where home was. Or who home was.
You were at the library when you got the call. It rang in your pocket before you were able to dig it out, the number on the front unfamiliar. Quietly, you answered. “Hello?”
“Y/N? It’s Jake.”
You let out a sigh of relief. “Thank God. You’re back.”
“Landed twenty minutes ago,” he responded. He coughed. Then, “Listen, something happened up there.”
Your heart froze. You felt all of the blood from your face drain and you scrambled for a chair, sitting down with a hard plop. “Tell me.”
“Bob and Phoenix went down,” he whispered. “They’re alive, but, I’m not going to lie, it’s not good.”
“Oh my God.”
“You should come to the base,” Jake said. “They’re at the hospital here. Do you want me to pick you up?”
“I’m on my way.” You were halfway out the door and to Bob’s truck before you realized you had left your purse at the desk. But you didn’t care. You were losing your home. Nothing else mattered.

Brooster ( Bradley Bradshaw x reader )

summary : when y/n brings her class to the hanger well bradley gets to check off two dreams in one go to jakes dismay and when the two bickering stems a glorious idea fun for all well other than the two men
warning: rooster being love sick , part of the its fate series gave her a nickname sunny, grammatical and spelling errors soz
its fate series here
@bets-bookshelf gave me this idea so long ago when i was doing the it's fate series so had to do something for it
also something fluffy for the amazing @shanimallina87
He told them from the beginning , before he even talk to her or found out she as hangmans sister that she was going to be the future mrs bradshaw . He was right because although it wasn’t a wedding ring  on her finger it was just one more step away. Two years to the day he ended the perfect first day recreating the very same moment and yet making it more special  .  finishing the dance in that spot spinning her out slowly  and then when she turned back there he was on one knee asking what  her to be his wife . everyone soon learned how true it would be they would be it before the engagement all you had to do was look at the couple and  you would see it . thanksgiving she brought him back to texas to which take teased  them the whole time but her parents loved  bradley almost instantly to the blonde aviators dismay even grandma seresin loved him which wasn’t so easy some of her brother in laws were still trying to win the old matriarch over.   He waited til she went shopping with her sisters and that when bradley asked for their permission and their blessing  . The look on jakes face had to be a bonus to the whole cherry on the cake.
Now here he was  in the present  proudly guiding her and her class to the hanger .  little wide eyes , excited faces standing not knowing what to do or  say next . They must of got the same warning mav and y/n  gave the dagger squad , the captain still trying to convince the younger seresin to enlist as she had the talent to be a commander.    They all seem to take it stride and keeping language to a minimum  although a few nearly slips happened only to be stopped  short  . he also did try to keep his adoring and  goofy smiles in her direction to a minimum which failed the moment she walked into the hanger and honestly watching her and the kid suddenly had him picturing  her with their and maybe he could ovulate something he was looking into because shit he was convinced he was   every time he seen her being so sweet and caring to a pint sized human .
“ OK boys and girls gather up lieutenant bradshaw here is going to tell you all about the F/A-18  you ready ?” mav smiled to the group of children who in turn we yelling excited “YES” .
“ liuetant ? “ bob nudged him from staring at the pretty teacher who snorted.
“ sorry erm yeah so lets show you guys one of  the loves  of my life” he winked to y/n  who rolled her eyes and followed after making sure the kids where  safe distance.  She knew the whole inside and out considering her brother and now soon to be husband yammered on about it the whole week , or more so argued over the importance of which part to  talk more on .  each time his eyes would meet hers and he’d stumble through abit .
“ maybe don’t enlist?” Maverick chuckled when nat nudged bradley to get his attention .
“ concentrate brooster” she hissed.  The little eyes seemly picking up more than the jet as they stood around.
“ anyone any questions ?” rooster looked over the little awe struck face . “ you there with the cute pigtails “ he pointed.
“ my name is abby , do you have crush on miss sunny “ that nickname he heard  them calling her few time it fit she really was a human embodiment of sunshine and could burn if got on bad side .
“ erm yes .. anyways spiderman shirt which is awesome by the way shoot “ he chuckled a little caught off guard .
“ aren’t you too old for sunny?” he asked .
“ i like that kid” jake snorted.
“ i’m not that old … anyone else “ he looked as all hands raised . “ about the jet or base” he added as they all fell down except one. “Shoot little lady” .
“ can we fly in these today ?” she asked .
“ sadly not see you gotta be erm 18 to fly in them “ he lied quickly .
“ sunny you can’t fly” she turned to her teacher.
“ i’m older 18 cassie “ y/n snorted.
“ well then lets bring the kids up to the control room and you can give sunny here a lap in the sky “  nat smirked as she knew it was one of his stupid little dreams to do so .
“ i got the paperwork “ bob added when he seen mav going to say something.
“ hell no… nope “ jake stood .
“ where do i sign” she smiled brightly .
“ come over here rest of you bring kiddo’s to the control room , make sure they ear muffs are on their head” nat called dragging sunny over to the table.
“ i’ll fly here” jake growled.
“ i can fly man i wont let anything happen relax” rooster rolled his eyes as they looked over and nat was helping her into a flight suit suspiciously a perfect fit  and a helmet on her head .
“I’m watching you bradshaw “ jake grumbled heading to the control tower make sure the kids were ok .
“ you ready pretty girl “ he smiled watching her coming over .
“ ready lieutenant  “ she saluted as he let her climb up first
“ hey if you every wanna enlist and be my backseater i have no objections if i get to do this all time “ he chuckled.
“  head off her ass and make sure she comes back in one piece “ jakes voice came over the intercom.
“  do i need to get the get along shirt for you two “ she warned .
“ no ma’am”  both  men easily replied.
“ ok so we wont be doing anything  crazy  , if you fell sick or anything let me know and i will land “ he told her softly as he made sure her straps  were secure .
“ i’m not scared i’m excited “ she giggled as he shook his head  knowing this was likely gonna be outcome .
“ ready baby” he called back .
“ ready “ she called listening to the control room as they let the kids giving the take off clearance .
This was a dream come true , one to mark off his bucket list to bring the love his life and thing he loved to do in like together .  her excited gasps and  pointing out everything she could see from where they were .  he turned to see her eyes filled in awe and amazement  god he was tempted to fly them to courthouse or vegas in that moment and just marry her on the spot .  she was everything and more to him  and he couldn’t wait to  enjoy rest of his life doing more like this , more exciting adventure.
“ loop it “ she yelled
“ you sure baby “ he chuckled at the excitement of her voice.
“ do it “ she called .
Her squeal  the turned she was looking at the world upside down in a spilt second  before he done it again and again .
“ brooster what the hell are you doing , your carrying precious cargo land now” jake voice crackled through the comms .
“ hey radley bradley brooster  time to land “ she snorted .
“  aye aye captain hotstuff” he called back .
“ brooster kids here keep the flirting to a minimum “ nat voice came through.
“ tell them i’m just loving on my future wife”
“ ok some are crying and hangman looks like he’s gonna throw up  “ fanboy sounded worried.
“ lets land “ she called as he nodded.
When they got on the ground  she literally got her feet on the tarmac when she was whipped around helmet pulled and thrown to mav as jake check her over .
“ give over you big dummy it was a few loops and spins i’m ok “ she slapped him away .  before  she turned to sniffling kids .
“ some aren’t happy you getting married because their dads said it was sad day when that happens “ nat snorted.
“ oh jesus “ she huffed off knowing she was going to have to explain to both kids and seemly parents her private life and job were separate.
“ curse of the hot teacher” payback chuckled.
“ see one piece “ bradley smirked kissing her head.
“ you not flying with her again brooster”
“ says who bagman “
“ boys over there now no fighting with the kids around although even crying with snot bubbles  their still more mature “ she pointed over to the corner as they both went.
“ honestly i love having you around kid “ mav ruffled her hair.
“Since when y’all calling him brooster” she chuckled.
“ when he messes up , annoying or anything really “ nat shrugged.
“ we call them b&b when they fight or even get along “ fanboy broke out laughing
“ ohh i get it bagman and brooster” she giggled an idea forming in her head and coming to fruition as they all got on the bus .
Two weeks after visiting the hangar and awkward parent teacher meetings she was staying back once the kids gone home clearing up after a day of crafts when the buzzing of her phone went off each member of dagger squad including pete maverick mitchell sending her images . when she click open she knew it would be good but shit she didn’t think it was this good . there stood her brother and her soon to be husband standing scowling wearing the enormous material  written on it  on the front read :
Bagman and Broosters  get along shirt
Two trapped in the fabric looking less then impressed but hell it made her year to see an idea coming to life and leave a glowing review to  the  woman that made it .

I'll never write it so gonna post the abandoned idea for it here (also as a reminder, all my fic ideas are for grabs unless stated otherwise so if someone wants to pick it up, be my guest)
Red strings of fate/Soulmates AU
You are connected to your soulmate by a red thread only you and your soulmate can see and touch (and cut). When your soulmate dies, the thread solidifies and becomes heavier, as long as the distance between the soulmates was the time one of them died — almost like a chain.
Jake and Bradley find out they're soulmates early on in flight school — it's hard not to when the thread pulls tauter and tauter until they finally meet in the same classroom and they can see the other end of the thread for the first time.
There's fascination, there's the thrill of sneaking around (they should disclaim it, as soon as they learn, so it can be put in their records, but they never do) and everything is new and bright. They start to treasure the string, turning around their fingers and finding joy in noticing the other end twitching and pulling — with time, they notice the motions translate over the tread no matter how far away they are.
They make up a system of pulls and tags, using Morse code and it becomes something else, they become something else — in the air, wordlessly in sync, on the ground, talking to each other whenever they want, during sleepless nights and separate schedules and long-distance deployments.
Until.
Things start getting complicated. Bradley has commitment and abandonment issues, Jake's an all-or-nothing type of guy and just being soulmates isn't enough.
They go their separate ways. Bradley still, sometimes, when he can't sleep and the night makes him feel like nothing has a sense or a purpose, sends little messages down the thread. He never gets replies.
The day they meet again at the Hard Deck, Jake suspects Bradley is coming for the same assignment. The string’s been getting lighter and lighter the whole night, dropping down, no longer stretched to its limit.
They try to ignore the string the whole time the training goes on, but Mav still suspects. He doesn't say anything, but he feels like history is repeating itself.
When Mav and Bradley are arguing in the debriefing room and Warlock comes in, he doesn't say anything but Mav looks down at his own wrist and his face turns white and Bradley knows at that moment.
(Whether Mav and Ice are soulmates and married or they are soulmates but Ice still married Sarah, that's up for discussion).
During the whole funeral, Mav rolls the invisible thread around his wrist, moving onto his arm when it's not enough.
It's at that moment — Bradley decides Jake will never have to do the same.
The minute he turns around for Mav, he makes up a plan in his head.
They find each other in the snow, and argue, but by the end of it, Mav is making up a crazy plan and they'll try to return in one piece. Try being the keyword.
He pulls on the string, the thread between his thumb and index finger.
Mav frowns. "What are you doing?"
"Sending a message before we go."
He repeats it, just in case Jake hasn't realized in time to catch the whole thing at first. And then he starts looking through the pockets of his life vest.
“He’s not walking around with a dead man’s chain, Mav.”
Mav tries to stop him the second he realizes what Bradley is going to do but it's too late — with the same knife he cut his parachute off, he cuts off the thread, close to his wrist, letting it fall limping into the snow, red almost looking like droplets of blood.
It takes Jake a minute to realize that the tagging is a physical feeling, not just wishful thinking formed by his imagination.
The carrier deck is a mess, the foxtrot teams returned, Phoenix is now arguing with the admirals about Rooster's position — he might not be dead, sir — and the ringing in Jake's ears doesn't stop until he looks down at his wrist, and sees the string moving, the pulling a rhythmic, well-known motion.
Aloud, breaking up the vivid discussion about Maverick and Rooster's status, he says, “Rooster is alive, he’s—he’s talking,” and it almost feels like it's someone else using his voice.
“What do you mean, Hangman? His comm is silent.”
“Can feel it on the string, it’s still red and he’s— he’s tugging in Morse code,” he says. He closes his eyes and lets himself be pulled by the wrist. “S-O-R-R—Sorry, he’s—sorry and—and—I-L—Shit, no.”
I-L-Y
The string flops down, loose. “No—”
He cut it. He cut it because it's still red and not gray but still too limp and he knows it. His wrist feels too light, too free.
When Bradley lands on the carrier, his wrist is bare and the thread pools around Jake's feet. It doesn't magically reconnect when they touch, when they shake hands.
Jake tries to desperately find the other end, carrying rolls and piles of it with him as he follows Bradley to the med bay.
“Jake, just—just cut it,” he tells him. “It’s going to connect you again in a day or two.”
Jake ignores him, pulling miles and miles of the thread into circled piles next to Bradley's bed. He can't see the floor — it's just red and red and nothing else.
“No,” is all Jake says. “Not to you.”
It'll find him a new match, connect the thread to someone else, to someone who isn't Bradley.
"Bring me some scissors," Bradley says. He almost feels bad, when Jake's gaze turns up to him, glaring with shiny eyes. "Just do as I say for once."
Wordlessly, looking like it pains him, Jake brings him disposable scissors.
Bradley grabs his hand before he can move away, pulls about three feet of the thread from the pile, and cuts off the excess on the floor.
He wraps it around his own wrist, the string thin and soft, and a little clumsily ties it into a loop over his arm. When he leans away again, the thread takes a second, taut, and then stretches with the distance, like it has always done.
Jake stares at it, too focused and too absent. "That's the shittiest knot I've ever seen."
Bradley huffs. "Well, you gotta learn to live with it."

Run From Midnight
Chapter One: Honey And Lemon
Honey and lemon. All Bradley can smell is honey and lemon as he watches the scruffy, feral little thing using Bob as a human shield. He's in love, and so is Bob.
Top Gun Werewolf AU
Masterlist
Tumblr media
He could smell it in the air before he could see her. Sweet, like honey and lemon. The scent had to belong to somebody special, he just knew it. He lifted his nose and breathed in, trying to inhale the scent, to locate where it was coming from.
That was until the smell of Jake's barbecue got in the way. A growl was pulled from his lips, one that had Bob and Natasha laughing at him. One glare in Bob's direction and he was quiet. Natasha, though, she wasn't so afraid of him.
It was such a rarity to have the entire pack on leave at the same time. When they were on leave at the same time, they did things like this; forcing Jake to barbecue while the others sat around and had a drink.
Bradley returned his nose to the air and began sniffing again. But the scent, and therefore the person it belonged to, had gone. Bradley couldn't help but sulk.
He hadn't met the person, didn't know who the scent was coming from, but he wanted to know more. He'd heard Mav talk about it, how he'd met this one girl and he knew she was the one because of how sweet she smelled. But, because he was Maverick, he lost her in a day.
There were emotions Bradley didn't know how to handle. Of course, he'd heard the stories about his parents and how his dad knew before his mom even walked into the room. But his parents weren't here now to guide him through.
The only family he had left didnt know how to handle it, either. After his mother died, there was only one person for him to turn to. But Pete (or Maverick, as everybody else called him) had long since run off to try and make it on his own.
(Spoiler alert, Mav didn't make it on his own. It was after he had lost that girl that smelled so sweet. Ice had tried to talk him out of it, but Mav needed to feel something again, so he ran. He ran for the hills, to never return. But, when Ice Man needed him, he answered the call and returned to the pack).
"What's up, kid?" Maverick asked as he sat down beside Bradley, placing an opened bottle of beer in front of him.
Bradley grumbled out a half hearted response. He still hadn't gotten used to having Maverick around as some sort of, what, mentor. Bradley had grown up without any sort of guidance from a pack. After his father died, he thought he'd always have his uncle Maverick there to help. But Maverick took off and Bradley was left to learn everything by himself.
"Ah," said Maverick. He said it in a way that had Bradley glaring up at him. "I know that grumble."
"You do?" Bob suddenly called from where he sat beside Nat. Bob was so smart, but there wasn't a lot he knew about Alpha's. His old pack Alpha behaved so differently from Maverick that Bob was at a loss when he first joined the pack.
Maverick nodded his head. "Oh yeah," he began. "Rooster's picked up the scent."
"The scent?" Natasha echoed.
It was easy for Maverick to forget how much younger his packmates were than him. They hadn't yet experienced the full range of emotions seen by most wolves.
"Have you guys ever heard of True Mates?"
A dry laugh left Jakes lips. "It's a myth," he muttered as he began plating up the meat. "If it was true, I would have her by now."
As soon as it was on the table, most of the other wolves crowded around the plate and snatched off what they could get. Bob held back; he knew with his pack Omega status would mean he didn’t stand a chance. But his pack would always take care of him.
And that was proven when Natasha handed him half of her share. He sat on the floor, watching as the pack Alpha commanded the attention of the pack.
"True mates are real, trust me," said the pack Alpha. "Rooster's parents were true mates. I met mine once upon a time."
Bradley couldn't stop himself from rolling his eyes at Maverick.
But he wasn't the one that said anything, instead sinking his teeth into his food. "Yeah, yeah, Mav," Jake muttered. "We all know the story. You met her and immediately fell in love. But, because she was human, she couldn't feel the bond like you could and she couldn't feel how much it hurt when she left."
Maverick always told the same story when he got drunk. The pack knew it off by heart by this point. The only one really affected by it was Bob.
The thing about a scent like that was that it was addicting. Bradley desperately wanted to smell it again. For the next few days, everywhere he went, he'd suck in a deep breath, try to pick up the scent of lemon and honey.
But, no matter where he went, Bradley didn't pick up the scent again. Maybe he wouldn't smell it again. But it had only been a few days, and he wasn't ready to give up.
In his desperation to search for the scent, Bradley began taking Bob everywhere. Being the pack Omega, somebody went with him wherever he went, just to keep him safe and to give the rest of the pack piece of mind.
"Wanna go and get coffee?" Bradley asked as he sat down at the rather large kitchen table with Bob and Mickey (before Bob became the pack Omega, they all thought it was either going to be him or Mickey).
Bob's eyes lit up behind his glasses. "You sure you're not busy, Rooster?" He asked, but he was unable to hide his excitement.
Bradley shook his head. "I've got time," he answered. Plus, the coffee shop was one of the only places he hadn't yet searched for the honey and lemon scent. But he'd never tell Bob that.
Bob was more than happy to climb into the Bronco as Bradley drove him to the town. He was practically preening under the attention of one of his packmates.
The thing with their pack was that the dynamic was mismatched. They weren't like most packs, made up of families working together. No, none of them had family, and that was how they found each other.
The thing is, their pack dynamic wasn't like most. Other packs were families that came together, to work together and protect each other. Most packs were ever growing, constantly welcoming new members when mates were found.
But their pack wasn't like that. None of them had family that they were particularly close to. Some of them had no family at all. But they'd come together and formed a pack.
Ice Man had been the one to bring them together. But when he got sick, he called Maverick to take the place of pack Alpha. It was uncomfortable between Bradley and Maverick at first. Bradley hated Maverick for abandoning him all of those years ago and Maverick knew he didn't deserve forgiveness.
But that was over a year ago and the two had come along way. The rest of the pack didn't know much about their relationship so, whenever Bob got a moment alone with Bradley, he asked.
That was what he did on the drive to the café. There was a lot of it that Bradley didn't like to talk about, especially when it came to his parents. But he couldn't just say nothing to Bob.
Bradley parked outside of the café. "Are you coming?" Bob asked, moving to climb out of the Bronco.
He looked towards the café. They weren't the kind of places Bob liked to step foot in. The lights were too bright, the smell of coffee too strong and the music too annoying. But Bob liked his coffee, and Bradley was happy to drive him there.
He shook his head and Bob climbed out of the Bronco. Bradley watched as Bob walked into the café. It always fucked with his senses, and he could barely smell Bob. But it didn't stress Bradley out. That distressed smell didn't fill the air, he had no reason to march into the café with a panic.
Suddenly, there was that scent again. Lemon and honey filled the air. Bradley sucked in a deep breath, searching through the faces of the people walking past the café. Which person was it? Bradley couldn't work it out from his place in the Bronco.
But then, the smell disappeared again. Well, it didn't disappear, but it was masked by something much stronger. Distress. Bob's distress.
Immediately, Bradley was out of the Bronco and marching towards the café. He ripped the door open with such ferocity, he almost pulled it off his hinges.
His eyes quickly scanned everybody in the café. Bob wasn't there. Where the fuck was he? He breathed in deep and followed the smell of his pack Omega's distress out of the cafes back door. Nobody stopped him.
When Bradley threw open the door and walked out into the alley behind the café, his heart stopped.
There Bob was. He himself might have been six foot tall, but he submitted to the woman who was holding him captive, arm around his neck. Bradley breathed in, and a mix of scents filled his nose. Bob's distress, along with honey and lemon.
Fuck.

For the last couple weeks I've been drawing logos / designs for local-ish (mostly NJ, some PA and NY) bands as warmups in the morning. Here's what I've come up with! Massive post below the break explaining each logo + where to find each band and listen to their music.
Tumblr media
Teenage Halloween- a staple of New Jersey basements for probably about a decade now and finally getting wider recognition in the last couple years. Pop punk / power pop with a killer horn section. First time I saw them was in New Brunswick playing with Walter Etc. and Blowout. They played a killer cover "Build Me Up Buttercup" and my wife got a black eye in the pit. Recommended tracks: "Brain Song," "666," "Clarity." Their first EP is on a separate bandcamp page btw, check it out here it's great.
Tumblr media
Sweet Pill - They will call themselves a Philly band but in my heart they'll always be from Glassboro. Definitely one of the more recognizable names on this list. Emo revival - early stuff is more twinkly, more recent stuff is heavier. All of it's great. Recommended tracks "Nephew," "High Hopes."
Tumblr media
Shark Club - Central Jersey's finest. I'm very biased because I actually know these dudes and they did the music for my wedding. Some of the best pop punk you'll hear and the nicest people you'll meet. Recommended tracks: "Game Theory," "Bill Murray," "Heavens to Betsy."
Tumblr media
Rest Ashore - My favorite band for the last (oh God I'm old now) eight years. From gut-wrenching emo ballads to virtuoso math-rock instrumentals they do it all. One time I got to sing vocals on "Lucy's Theme" at a house show- thank you Erica! Recommended tracks: "Hjarta," "Chinese Opera," "Devotion," "Soyuz Sweetheart." Too many bangers to name honestly, just deep dive their discography.
Tumblr media
Morus Alba - First band I ever went to see at a house show and still one of my absolute favorites. Their music feels like the bridge between the best pitchfork, /mu/ alt rock bands and high energy basement emo. I mean that as a compliment and I hope it comes off as one lol. I should note that since 2019 Morus Alba has morphed from a band into an experimental hip-hop project so later releases sound radically different and basically disconnected from the earlier stuff. Also my favorite release from them, Live at Isabelle's, has been scrubbed from the internet but if you'd like the files just email me. Recommended tracks: "Skyscraper," "Human Resources," "The Goodnight Waltz."
Tumblr media
Have a Good Season - another Jersey mainstay that's still going strong. Emo revival in their earlier releases, now with more 70s power pop influences in their newer stuff. See them live, they put on a fantastic show and usually play some great covers in addition to their original music. HaGS guys if you're reading this, please put your version of "Since You've Been Gone" online, I'm begging you. Recommended tracks: "Joseph / Shel Silverstein," (you have to listen to them together for the drop, so good) , "Gum, "Gleaux / Scab." Also, frontman Nic Palermo interviewed me once.
Tumblr media
Elephant Jake - If you see any of these bands live make it EJ, they put on such a damn good show. Electrifying indie punk from the Empire State. Recommended tracks: "F.D.C." "Sarah Moyer," "Goodness to Honest," and of course you gotta learn "Sebastien Bauer" for the singalongs.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Blind Lion - Sadly one of the greats that we lost along the way. Defunct since about 2017. I only got to see them once but it was a great performance. Alongside their own stuff they played some killer covers of "Bad Moon Rising" and "Moonage Daydream." I had trouble doing a logo design for them because I actually really like the composition, if not the "Ed Hardy-ness," of their existing logo so what you see here are two separate attempts, neither of which feels entirely satisfying to me. Frontperson Larry Flately currently plays in Nematode and also handled production of Bradley Gardens joke hiphop group The Breakfast Boiz under the moniker "DJ Ova EZ." Recommended tracks: "Brumous," "Dinner."
Tumblr media
Fighting Seasons - A band that I sadly found out about too late (via a sticker under the bridge in my town which has since been painted over). 2010s pop punk that packs a helluva punch, especially considering that I'm pretty sure the members were high schoolers for most of the band's existence. I think some members may have gone on to form Sawce (FFO Chon, Polyphia, that type of music) but I can't remember where I read/heard that so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. Recommended tracks: "Fighting Seasons," "Oil on Canvas"
Tumblr media
Milkmen- Another fallen giant, officially disbanded in 2019. Like Morus Alba, they played the very first house show I attended and their few releases remain on constant rotation in my home. Used to put on a great show and were one of the bands I always thought would make it big until suddenly they weren't around anymore. Frontman Ben Thieberger contributed guitar and vocals to Covid quarantine project Kin if you're looking for a bit of an extra fix but beyond that I don't know what these guys are up to these days, sadly. Recommended tracks: "Ramus," "Johnny Dangerously," "how sieves catch breeze," "K.O.T.H."
Tumblr media
Stand and Wave - New York (now Philly) pop punkers delivering instant dopamine hits with every track. Another great live act, see them with EJ if you can! They often play shows together. Recommended tracks: "Convos," "Mrs. Dash," "Splashton Kutcher," "Michael Collins."
Tumblr media Tumblr media
My Chemical Romance - You know who they are. While I was drawing all these other logos I ran a poll on Patreon to decide which famous New Jersey band should also be graced with a drawing from me. MCR won the poll by a hefty margin so unfortunately you won't get to see me do an illegible black metal take on Hoboken's Yo La Tengo. I ended up doing two versions: the one with the halo is the first, the one with the bats was the second. I tried to do something kind of thin and elegant with the first one and I don't think it's terrible but I also wasn't quite satisfied with it. For the 2nd attempt I tried to lean into the kind of pulpy, almost horror punk aesthetic of early MCR and I think that one looks better even if it's less original.
Anyway if you took the time to read through all this, thank you very much! And please support these bands! Also If any of the links aren't working please let me know.

Oooh ok so Bambi gets more comfortable about sex and starts getting loud so Rooster has to cover her mouth with his hand or kiss her if the others are around
asdfghjkl so since Bambi convinced Mav to install that digital diary system for the gym, which she has plentiful access to, I can just imagine her deciding one day to be a lil bit naughty with it. She’s been watching Rooster cockwalk around the gym all morning in the tightest fitting shirt he owns, and she just happened to notice that there’s a little gap in his bookings…
so, rooster comes over to check his schedule and what does he find in that gap? a little pink tab, scheduled from 10:30-11, labelled quickie <3. He knows where to find her. He just isn’t expecting to find her already naked and touching herself in her bed when he shows up for their 10:30 appointment.
“Oh, baby. Couldn’t wait for me?” He’s already walking forwards and peeling that exceptionally tight shirt over his head, kicking his shoes off and drinking her in through hooded lids. She simply grins at him, parting her knees a little, giving him just a peek.
“I could have, but where’s the fun in that?”
The thing about quickies with B3 Bradley is that he just isn’t a fan of them. Especially when she was trying to tease them first, he’s going to have his fun right back. So, when at 11:03, he’s just sinking into her inch by inch and he has a client waiting for him downstairs, problems start to arise.
He seems to clock the sound before she does, slamming a hand over her mouth and catching the soft squeak she makes under his palm. Seconds later, Jake strolls into her apartment.
“Rooster? — You up here?” He calls into the space.
Rooster’s pelvis presses flush to hers finally, his forehead resting atop hers. Hand secured over her mouth, he gives one long, languid roll of his hips. What he isn’t expecting, is for her to hook her ankles behind his back and practically growl into his palm, digging her nails into his shoulders.
“More, more, Rooster, more.” It’s all muffled by his hand, but he’s stunned by the look in her eye even more than the pleas spilling from her lips.
“Rooster? — You in here? — Birdbrain, you’ve got a client!” Jake calls out, banging his fist against the bedroom door.
She kisses his palm and reaches up to pull it from her mouth. He complies, baffled by where this boldness is coming from.
“He’ll go away, I’ll cover for you. Just fuck me.” She pants out, grabbing the back of his neck and kissing him hard. And she’s right, Jake does leave. Unfortunately, he leaves a couple seconds too late. It takes him a second to figure out what he’s hearing, and by the time he has heard her cry out Rooster’s name, it’s far too late. He scrambles downstairs after learning that Bambi’s not as shy as she looks.

Jake Seresin NSFW Alphabet
18+ below minors do not interact
Tumblr media
Aftercare (What they are like after sex): Listen, he was a fuckboy until he met you. So, there was barely anything post sex except for a short peck on the lips before he left and spend the night curled up in his own bed. When the two of you started dating, he was mighty overchallenged with you pouting at him, cause he did not wrap you up into his strong arms immediately after he pulled out. It took him a little while to fully let loose and be intimate with you besides sex, but after a serious conversation where you both honestly talked about your needs, wants and concerns, he tried his best to fully satisfy you.
Body Part (Their favorite body part of theirs and also their partner’s):  On himself definitely his upper body. He spends a lot of time in the gym and takes a lot of pride in his looks. But no matter how much he loves his body himself, he loves it even more when he sees you watching him at the beach or at the gym, eyes ranking over his body while you absently bite your lower lip. Jake teases you enormous for it, but secretly he loves it.
On you he has a thing for your ass, your boobs, and your eyes. Your ass because he is big on physical touch and always needs to have a hand on you, preferably on your nice ass no matter if its thick and juicy or small and cute. Your eyes cause it’s what caught him first when you looked at him all those years ago on a Friday night at the hard deck. Your boobs because there is nothing better for him then laying on top of you after a particular stressful day at work and burry his face in your boobs while you play with his hair.
Cum (Anything to do with cum): He is not as messy as Rooster is, like he would not feel the need to mark you up with his cum. He either likes it clean inside of a condom, or if you are on the pill, he is obsessed with cumming inside of you. Also highly believes that spitters are quitters.
Dirty Secret (a dirty secret of theirs): Hangman has two.
It took him ages to open up about this to you, but as soon as he did, he felt an instant relief. Jake just can’t stand the thought someone could find out that the cocky, handsome aviator has a thing for sucking your nipples. He doesn’t know why he likes it so much, and he honestly does not want to find out but something about it is incredibly comforting and calming for him.
He has not told anyone yet but sometimes he fantasizes to be watched by someone else while he fucks you senseless. And if he says someone, he means Rooster, because he would love to see the jealousy in Bradley’s brown eyes while he slowly thrusts into you and makes you feel oh so good, letting his wingman know that he will never be able to satisfy someone as good as Jake Seresin can. (The One Shot to this Headcanon can be read here)
Experience (How experienced are they?): It’s Jake Seresin we are talking about. He has been around the block. Probably five times. But I would say that he is not that experienced when it comes to real connections and intimacy, being vulnerable is something he needs to learn with you.
Favorite Position (pretty self explanatory)
Everything where he can see your face.
Mirror Sex:  Ride him in reverse cowgirl position while the two of you look at each other in the mirror – pure heaven.
Missionary: He is obsessed with seeing all those expressions on your face. How your eyes roll in the back of your head when he hits that spot inside your velvet walls or how your pretty mouth forms a silent O whenever you shatter around him and squeeze him just right.
Doggy Style: On the rare occasions when he does not need to see your face as much as he needs to fuck you deep into the mattress, doggy style is his go to. He has a perfect grip on your hips and he can spank your ass occasionally while he hears your whimper beneath him.
Goofy (Are they rather serious oder humorous in the moment?): The most you will ever get out of him is small smile when you try to crack a joke to lighten the mood, even though you should know better. When it comes to Sex your man is on a mission and nothing else. He will do everything to satisfy you in every way possible and that’s why he is determined to stay serious.
Hair (How well groomed are they?): He is completely shaved in down under. Jake just prefers this look for himself, cause it fits his pretty boy aesthetic. For you he would also prefer you to be hairless, but he would never pressure you into a certain way how to treat your body. As long as you’re a happy and confident within yourself, he is a happy guy.
Intimacy (How are they during the moment?): He had plenty of Sex without ever feeling really intimate with someone. He spends all his time to build his career and never really saw a need to get emotional close to someone. Until he met you. After he experienced loving sex for the first time in his life, he got absolutely addicted. I highly doubt he could ever go back to his fuckboy years, after he experienced real emotional closeness and intimacy with you.
Jack off (pretty self explanatory): He prefers the real deal, but he is not above it. Sometimes he is deployed, or you are simply not in the mood for sex, so he would jack off.
Kink (some kinks of theirs): Hangman has several kinks (copied from my Dagger Squad Kink Headcanons)
Breeding kink – that man wants to see your belly round and your tits swollen. Could be the southern boy from a huge family in him or just him in general. No matter what – that man wants to see you pregnant with his child.
Cockwarming – Jake being the touchiest human on planet earth loves nothing more that feeling your walls hugging him perfectly close, especially after coming right back from a long deployment.
Edging – He’s a teasing piece of shit. Nothing gets him more going that hearing you beg for his cock.
Exhibitionism – slipping his hand between your thighs while sitting at dinner with Rooster and his girlfriend knowing only, he can feel the wet patch on your panties even though you are in a room full of people, that’s probably the best dinner he ever had.
Brat Taming – Mouth ‘Make me’ at him, after he admonished you several times for you teasing him on a navy ball and will fully loose his shit as soon as you come home.
He also has a thing for degradation and humiliation
Location (Favorite Place to do the deed): Hangman is pretty open and risky. He has railed you in the bathroom of the hard deck and several clubs already, as well as at the beach and his car. He never would do it on base though or anywhere else where someone of his admirals could see the two of you.
Motivation (What turns them on): Competition. Tell him your Ex-Boyfriend was the best sex you ever had, you will regret this two hours later and won’t be able to walk for the next couple of days. Watch Coyote doing push-ups at the gym for a second to long, he will rail you at home until you won’t be able to spell Coyote correctly.  Tell him after girls’ night how Phoenix rhapsodized about how her boyfriend make her cum three times by giving expertly good head, he will make you call her right after he doubled this sum, so you have to tell her with shaky voice that no one will ever be as good in bed as Jake Seresin is.
No (Something they would not do): He would never share you with someone else. Hangman likes to think about the idea to be watched while fucking you, but he would never ever let someone else touch you the way only he is allowed to. He is way too possessive for this.
Oral (Preference in giving or receiving, skills): That man is skilled af when it comes to giving head. He knows all the tricks; he spends his time to learn your body language and he has you squirming and shaking beneath him within seconds as soon as he puts his mouth on you. But I would say that he can get quite egoistical when it comes to giving oral. Like he does not do it on purpose but if you don’t remind him from time to time, you will get down on him way more than he goes on you. If you remind him though, he will feel bad enough to spend literally hours between your legs, long enough to beg him to let you go because you are so overstimulated but satisfied.
When it comes to receiving head, as said before he highly believes spitters are quitters, but he would never be mad at you if you would feel uncomfortable to swallow his cum.
Pace (pretty self explanatory): He can do slow. He can do passionate. He can do hard. He can do rough. Whatever you need or want it’s yours.
Quickie (pretty self explanatory): Accepting the challenge to make you cum in a spare amount of time? He is absolutely down. He loves the rush; he loves the intensity, and he loves the risk (if you are doing it at a semipublic place)
Roles (Which role do they take during sex): He mostly is a Mean Dom. Jake just has a major thing for degradation and humiliation. Everything consensual of course. I do see him having sub tendencies, which he slowly explores with you. Being vulnerable is not easy for him, but he trusts you enough to let you know this side of him.
Stamina (how many rounds are they able to go?): He is fit, he eats very well and takes good care of himself. He definitely can go for as many rounds the both you want until the both of you are left very satisfied.
Turn off (What turns them off) : Bad hygiene or someone who is overly lazy (as long as these are not consequences of mental health struggles) He spends most of his time either to work on himself or he works his ass off to get a promotion at work. Someone who has no ambitions or does not care about themselves enough to treat them good, is simply a major turn off for him.
Unfair ( How big of a tease are they?): Biggest tease on planet earth. He will do literally anything to see you all flustered, cheeks slightly red and eyes wide in disbelief. No matter if he would send you dirty texts with some nice Ab pics while you are out for brunch with your friends or if he fingers you beneath the desk while out for lunch with the dagger squad but pulls out his fingers right before you come – he will always find a way to get you hot and needy for him. And he will tease the living shit out of you for it.
Volume (How loud/vocal are they): He is big on praise. He loves to tell you who good you take him and what a good little slut you are for him. Besides this he loves to hear you beg. This man will literally have you beg for everything. You want his cock all down your throat? You better ask nicely. You want to cum on his fingers? You better go on your knees with doll eyes and beg.
Wild Card (their wild card): He is extremely competitive, which also shows in his Sex life. You probably never had a more intense orgasm than the day, you spend with Jake, Bradley, and his girlfriend in a cabin in the woods. Even though you and Jake already finished and were all cuddled up, slowly drifting into sleep – the moment he heard Rooster railing his girlfriend in the room next to yours his competitive side was awaken and it did not take him more than 5 minutes to get you all worked up and thrusting into you so deeply that you could not help yourself but to scream his name.  No need to say the smirk he wore the next day at breakfast table, because he pulled three more orgasms out of you while Bradley made his girlfriend only come twice, annoyed the hell out of everyone but Jake.
X-Ray: (What's going on in those pants?): He is about average length, but he is deliciously thick with a prominent vein on the bottom side of his cock. His tip has a pretty pink tone.
Yearning (How high is their sex drive?): High. Extremely High. If he can get his hands on you – he will. Whenever and wherever you let him, just sign him that you are in the mood, and he is ready to go.
Zzzzzzz (How fast do they fall asleep after it?): He will always make sure you are being taken care of after sex. After the two of you had your conversation about what you want and crave after Sex, he will always make sure you get what you need. No matter how stressful his day was, he will wait until your head meets the pillow and he hears your sweet snores until he falls asleep himself.

Starting over | Part 13
Masterlist
Tumblr media
Summary: After another date with Jake and Bradley, y/n's upcomming migraine will not stay the only problem. The Admiral und Maverick have bad news for the aviators.
Trigger Warnings: 18+! Minors DNI, past abusive relationship, toxic male, migraine, throwing up, au and ooc, poly relationship
A/N: This chapter is a bit longer but I didn't want to split it. Please let me know what you think.
Word Count: 5.4+ k
"Wow, Hangman. I must admit you look really good in a suit." Rooster steps into the kitchen where the blonde pilot stands at the kitchen island waiting for their partners to get ready. He strokes softly over Jake's back, getting a smirk from the other man as a reply.
"Where's y/n? We need to go in the next five minutes." Jake asks impatiently but taking the chance to take a look at Bradley who wears a crisp white button down, the first two buttons open which gives a sneak of his muscular chest and a black suit.
"Princess, Jake is a bit impa-" Bradley nearly chokes on his own words when y/n steps out of her bedroom. Her short and tight black dress is hugging her body perfectly. "I'm ready, is this ok?" She turns around to give her boyfriends an all over view of her chosen dress. She's clearly not wearing a bra in the backless garment. Jake turns around when he hears the clicking of heels on the hard wood floor.
"Good Lord, sweet Jesus help me…" The blonde aviator takes a step closer to meet his girlfriend half way, taking one of her smaller hands in his and turning her around to get one more look at her bare back. "…okay? This is not okay, sweetheart. This is fucking amazing. You look so amazing. Beautiful. I guess Bradley also wouldn't mind if we stay here and enjoying the view." He kisses her head.
"Oh no, guys. You promised me another date. So here I am." The young woman says with an excited smile. She looked forward to their date, just the three of them enjoying a slow night out in a fancy restaurant.
"You're right, princess. Let's go, otherwise we gonna be late and we have to be at work tomorrow, so let's enjoy our evening." The brunette aviator tucks y/n in his side, gently caressing her bare back. "But Jake's right, you look absolutely amazing. We have to keep a close eye on you otherwise some rich guy will steal you from us."
---
The restaurant the boys chose to have their date with y/n was amazing. Not too snobbish but fancy enough to spoil their girlfriend rotten. Unfortunately they all have to work tomorrow but with Rooster as the designated driver Jake and y/n share an expensive bottle of wine. But during the five-course menu y/n feels that something is wrong. She knows this strange taste in her mouth, it often is a clear sign for an incoming migraine attack. When she's really lucky it will be the only symptom despite a small headache, but on her bad days it means that a bad migraine will attack in the next hours or at the next day.
"You not so hungry anymore, princess?" Bradley asks as he sees his girlfriend second plate still half full despite the small portions.
Y/n doesn't want to crash their night. Jake had to pull some strings to get a reservation at short notice and all three of them were happy when he announced that he got a table for three for that night. No, she can't tell them her bad feeling about the very prominent metallic taste in her mouth and how the smell of the food is currently too strong for her. She has to stay put and hope that this will not turn out as a bad attack and praying that she will get off lightly this time. In the past she often felt ashamed when she fell ill, either her kidney acting up or her migraine coming back. Being vulnerable and asking for help is something she had to learn when she moved in with the two naval pilots. They were always supporting and caring when she felt sick but still she is a bit afraid that there will come the day when it's going to be too much for the two men, when they're annoyed that she is once more sick or feeling bad from a nasty headache.
"Sure I am, but there are three more courses to come and I'm excited for the dessert. Meringue with ice cream and fruits is my weakness." Y/n tries to reassure her boyfriends. Don't show them weakness, they're going to leave you one day. Who wants to always take care of their whiny girlfriend?
---
Fortunately y/n got through the evening without a grand attack. The metallic taste stayed in her mouth a dull pressure built up in her head but other than that she was spared of feeling worse.
Now laying in bed with Jake and Bradley brings her the much needed rest. With her smaller form in the middle of both pilots she feels safe and loved. Soon her eyes drop shut.
Jake doesn't know what woke him up in the middle of the night. With one tired glance at the clock on the nightstand he knows that it's way too early for his alarm. Another kick lands to his thigh not strong enough to hurt him but enough to wake him up. He turns around and is just fast enough to catch the small fist of his girlfriend before it lands in his face. That must've been the reason for his early awakening. Y/n is trashing and moving in her sleep. Usually she's a very calm sleeper, when she doesn't suffer from a nightmare. But today she's constantly moving and turning in her sleep, the sheets already tangled around her body. Small whimpers leaving her occasionally. It's still dark in the bedroom but Jake's eyes adjust fast so he can clearly see the crease on his girlfriend's face. With a gentle touch he strokes some stray wisps of her hair behind her ear. With his thumb he gently runs over her forehead in a soothing manner. It seems like her dream isn't so bad that he has to wake her up, she's not crying or screaming in her sleep, just mumbling some unintelligible words so he tries to sooth her while she's still asleep. Waking her up from her deep slumber is always startling her and he doesn't want to scare so he tries to calm her down this way. The blonde aviator tucks her into his warm chest after he untangled her limps from the blanket and lays it over both of them to keep her somewhat chilled body warm. In a hushed and soft voice he whispers sweet nothing into her ear when she once more tries to kick her legs and pushes her hand into his chest. "Shhh, you're safe, babygirl. It's just me Jake-y. I got you, baby."
---
“Are you ready to go? Where’s y/n?” Bradley asks as he put his mug away in the dishwasher already in his navy clothes ready to start the day and head to the base.
Jake was the first of the three to wake up and get out of the warm comfort of the bed. There was no use in staying any longer. He had a hard night with y/n trashing and wiggling in his arms. He held her close and soothed her but shortly after he fell asleep she started to whimper and turning again.
“I let her sleep a bit longer. She had a rough night, kept tossing and turning. Even kicked and hit me. Don’t what was wrong with her, but I guess she needed a bit more sleep this morning. We will meet you at the base.”
Bradley looks concerned when his partner tells him about the bad night y/h had. Hopefully it stays the exception. Since the three of them were in a relationship and they often sleep together in a bed y/n hasn’t had a bad night or a night terror.
“Oh okay. I keep your class on their toes until you arrive.” The brunette pilot places a kiss on Hangman’s cheek and hurries out the door, that way at least one of them will be on time.
---
Waking up dizzy and still with the metallic taste in her mouth y/n immediately knows that her day is going to be rough. She feels like she hasn’t slept one bit this night, her limps feeling heavy and a dull ache is forming behind her eyes. But she has to get up now and get ready for work. She has tasks she wants to finish today and to call in sick is definitely not an option. She will drag herself through the day without alerting her boyfriends that something is wrong with her and just go to bed early in the evening. Yes, that’s seems to be the best battle plan but only if the major migraine attack stays away.
---
Jake and Bradley are busy with training their recruits and to prepare them for their flight training later that day. Y/n is thankful for that for once, so she can suffer in her office in silence. When her mobile chirps and alerts her that she has a notification she’s happy to see that it’s a message from Bradley. She unlocks her phone and is greeted with a cute selfie of both her boys standing in all their glory already wearing their flight suits.
Roo-y: Hello Princess. We’re about to start the flight training. Having a tight schedule today <3 We’ll see u in the afternoon. Love u!
Her heart starts to pick up. She really loves these two morons. She types a fast reply in hopes that they will see her message before they start their jets.
Looking all good in your fight suits *.* Please be careful. See u later <3
She wants to desperately write an ‘I love you’ back, but wants her first ‘I love you’ to be told in person. She wants to see their faces, looking in their eyes. And she needs a bit more courage to do so.
---
It always starts this way, with a blind spot in the middle of her field of vision which will spread soon to the edges until it will morph into tiny little flashes. The dull ache behind her eyes is now slowly developing into full migraine attack. The letters and numbers on the sheet in front of her are growing hazy and the midday sun which filters through her office windows feels like a knife stabs in her sensitive eyes. This is going to be bad with no way out for the young woman. She knows the drill. Soon she will be dizzy and nauseous with a skull piercing headache which makes her incapable of acting. Her hands start to shake, what is she going to do? Both Bradley and Jake are in the air now, probably will be there for some more time. She has to try to sustain for some hours until they’re ready to drive her home. With trembling hands she rummages through the drawer of her wooden desk, desperately searching for some painkillers to take away the edge of the splitting headache. The items in the drawer are all blurred and it’s hard for the young woman to think straight. Dizzy and with weak legs she stands up from her desk, she needs to get to the bathroom. Cold water on her wrists should help with her dizziness a tiny bit. She nearly collapses before she can even get to her closed office door. A loud knock is bringing her out of her confused thoughts.
“Ms. y/ln. I just got that… Ms. y/ln, are you okay?” The Admiral immediately sees that something is wrong with the younger woman. She’s standing on shaky legs white as ghost in front of him using the desk as support. He instantly grabs her by her shoulders and leads her back into her chair.
“Do you need a doctor, Miss?” He crouches down in front the smaller woman and one more time lays a hand on one of her shoulders to get her attention, growing worried when she looks at him with unfocused eyes.
“Admiral, Sir…” She tries to stand up, she has highly respect of the man in front of her. Not only because he is her superior. When she started as the new and first IT-specialist at the base he was, despite all the warnings from the Daggers, always friendly and supportive with her. He never gave her the impression she’s not part of the team. As a civilian she had no idea how everything works, let alone how to act around the Admiral or other highly ranked Navy members. But it seems like he has a spot for her, so he was very loose with her from the start.
“Please stay seated, Miss. You look like you’re about to pass out.”
“Bad migraine, I’m sorry, Sir.” Her words already a bit slurred.
With an understanding nod he pats her shoulder. “Okay. How do we do it then? Rooster and Hangman are still in the air. But I don’t want you to wait here in your condition. Let me get someone to bring you home. I would feel better if I know you can lay down at home and take some painkillers. Is that okay, Miss y/ln?” With both her boyfriends still in the air the Admiral has only one option, he needs to asks Welsh to take the sick woman home. The guy is as useless as they come. And he can’t wait to kick him of his base already. But to take his IT-specialist home seems like a simple enough task for this scapegrace.
---
That's why she finds herself now in a Navy issued SUV on the way to their shared house. Despite the spacious driver's cab she feels cramped. The tangy smell of the man's aftershave increases the feeling nausea. Her field of vision is still dominated by colorful flashes and a blind spot on the right side. That and the hammering pain in her head which throbs with every heartbeat makes it difficult for her to concentrate on the streets. With Welsh so close to her she feels vulnerable. From the beginning the guy gave her the creeps. At his first days on the base he tried to flirt with her but not in a funny or friendly way like Jake or Bradley did. His behavior, his choice of words, his dark eyes which always seem to follow her made her scared from the start. She prays that the drive to Jake's and Bradley's house is as fast as possible over and she can stumble into their cozy home and hide herself in one of the boy's beds.
"So…how is it to live with two Naval pilots in a house? If they're as bossy as they're on base, I should probably feel sorry for you." Welsh's loud voice brings her out of her daydream. His devilish laugh at the end of his sentence makes her flinch. Why is he starting a conversation with her? She heard the Admiral told him that she has a bad migraine attack. Her heartrate picks up which only increases the painful throbbing behind her eyes.
"It's good. They're good roommates." She answers in a quiet voice in great hope that this would end the unpleasant conversation. Y/n feels the man's eyes on her after he stops at a red light.
"Hmm, good roommates… But what if, let's say you want to bring a guy home?" His voice gets a dangerous undertone and y/n feels more and more unsafe in the presence of the man beside her.
"I - I don't bring men home…" But before she can finish her sentence she feels a finger tracing down her arm, the short fingernail scraping her sensitive skin. Y/n flinches and withdraws her arm as fast as she can. A shudder is passing through her body. She can feel the bile rising in her throat.
"A beautiful woman like you doesn't bring guys home? Playing hard to get, darling?"
Y/n feels relegated right back into her past. Feeling small helpless at the hand of a sadistic man. She curls further into the seat turning her body to be closer to the passenger door, away from Welsh. The line he traced with his finger is burning on her skin. She is disgusted. Her heart is racing but she holds back the tears with all her might. She doesn't want to show more weakness by crying in the car in front of him. Fortunately he ends the forced conversation at this point, looking confident with the outcome of the intimidation of the small woman in the passenger seat. First rule: show them who is in charge, intimidate them. Then go further.
When Welsh turns into the all too familiar road and finally parks the car in the driveway of their home she hastily fumbles with her seatbelt. She can't stay one second longer in the presence of this man.
"Wow, nice house. Really cute, good neighborhood. I guess it's really cozy in there…"
When y/n stumbles out of the car she can hear his voice shouting after her. "I can help you inside, darling."
But she just hurries to the front door without looking back. She has to open the door and then she's safe. Her hands are shaking so badly and her vision problems are making it difficult for her to get the key into the lock. In her panic she doesn't notice that Welsh is already backing out of the driveway.
---
Y/n doesn't know how long she sat there, on the cold hardwood floor with her back to the front door. When she finally unlocked the door her dizziness was so bad that she only managed to close and lock the door and let herself slide down onto the floor. With her throbbing head in her hands she started to cry silently. Panic gasps tumbled out of her mouth, her heart seemed to explode in her ribcage.
On wobbly legs she finally has the strength to make her way into her bathroom to get her migraine medication and a glass of water. Clad in only an old Navy shirt of Bradley or Jake she crawls in Jake's bed, inhaling his lingering scent, eventually feeling safe.
---
The training session was greatly successful, leaving the recruits and their instructors exhausted but content. On days like this Bradley and Jake are happy that they and the Dagger Crew accept the generous offer to be permanent at Miramar, teaching the new fighter pilots of the US Navy.
"Finally finished for today, I'm so ready to go home." Bradley says as he looks at his phone.
"Yeah, let's get our girl and head home." Jake replies in a light tone patting his partner on the shoulder. He can't wait to get home with Rooster and y/n, envelope both in his arms and cuddle for the rest of the evening on their big and comfy couch. Before both reach the locker room to store away their helmets and flight suits a loud voice is interrupting their chatter.
"Hangman, Rooster. The Admiral and I have to talk to you. Nice training by the way." Maverick instructs them clearly aware of the annoyed looks he receives from both men.
---
"At ease! Take a seat" Bradley and Jake do as the Admiral tells them. Both clearly surprised why the Admiral and Maverick have to talk to them at this time of the day after their long flight training.
"First of all, I had to send Ms. y/ln home late in the morning. She was feeling unwell, suffering from a migraine. Welsh was so friendly and took her home."
Both men share a worried look, Jake nearly on the verge to storm out of the Admiral's office. Maverick's firm hand holding him in his seat.
"I don't want to hold you two here any longer. But Mr. Mitchell has important news for you." The Admiral knows y/n's past. Before she could start to work at the base he had to do a detailed background check. But with her high reputation her former employer gave her and Maverick's powers of persuasion he could overlook the fact that she is a civilian and that her ex could be a possible safety risk. When Pete told him her whole story, the reason why she has to move states that fast, his heart went out for her. For outsiders he always looks like the clinical Navy Admiral, but deep down he has a big heart and a great soft spot for his young IT-specialist. So he dearly understands the huge protectiveness his two aviators feel for her.
"I know that your contract clearly says that you two are permanent instructors for TopGun, without any long term…"
"We are not going on another suicide mission." Jake interrupts Pete immediately. In no case he or Bradley are going on another mission, gamble with their life, leaving y/n.
"Seresin, keep calm!" The Admiral barges in. Jake's posture stiffens but indicates Maverick to continue.
"The USS Harry S. Truman needs some instructors on the carrier. Phoenix and Fanboy will accompany you. Bob and Coyote are going to supervise your trainees at the base."
"How long?" Bradley looks as unamused as Jake. Both don't want to leave their girlfriend alone. Of course she is a grown woman and can handle herself but their relationship is still very new and he knows that they would constantly worry about her when they're away. With her health issues she doesn't rely on help, but both would feel better if one of them would stay back home.
"We assume that you will stay there for at least two weeks. But it will depend on how fast you can train the crew. The good news is that the carrier is currently stationed in the pacific near Hawaii and will stay nearby during the training mission." The Admiral rises to speak to the men.
"When do we have to fly out?" Jake asks while clenching his teeth.
---
The drive home was silent, a dreading silence with both men deep in thought. With heavy hearts and worried for their girlfriend who is probably still suffering from her migraine attack. They have to leave Miramar in three days. Thursday they're going to fly out to the USS Harry Truman and they have yet to tell their girlfriend, their currently sick girlfriend. How could that somewhat decent day turns out to be such a disappointment.
---
"The door is locked?!" Bradley states when he tries to open the front door of their house. Usually y/n doesn't lock the front door when she is at home, she did that a lot at the beginning of her living with Rooster and Hangman. But nowadays she feels safe enough to not lock the door when she's inside the house, in addition to that it's not possible to open their front door from the outside without a key.
Both men step into their cozy home as quiet as possible, not wanting to wake up their sick girlfriend in case she's still resting.
The brunette pilot opens y/n's bedroom door slowly and pokes his head inside the room, but her bed is empty and untouched. She has to made herself comfortable in one of their bedrooms, seeking comfort in one of their beds. That's the moment the two men hear painful coughs and retching coming out of the master bathroom.
Jake is the first to open the door to the grand bathroom which is used usually by the two men because y/n has her own en-suite bathroom. And there she is, sitting miserable on the cold tiles in front the toilet violently gagging with her whole body shaking like a leave.
"Oh baby…" Jake wastes no time and kneels immediately beside the smaller woman. But to his surprise she flinches away from him when he touches her back in a soothing manner. Her eyes fly open and there's a clear look of panic in her big eyes. She needs a moment to recognize one of her boyfriends beside her when another violent wave of nausea hits her like a train.
"It's okay y/n. I got you, don't fight it." Jake reassures her while supporting her body when she starts to throw up once again. She reaches blindly for Jake, squeezing his thigh weakly with a clammy hand. Bradley sits on her other side running a cool washcloth over her neck, catching a tear that makes its way down her pale cheeks. When there's finally nothing more in her system to throw up and also the dry heaves stop she slumps her body into Jake's.
"You done, sweetheart?" he asks in a worried tone while supporting her body to keep her in a sitting position. When he looks at her face he sees how pale she is almost ashen with cold sweat coating her forehead.
"Migraine." The small woman whispers even her own voice is hurting in her head. "M-medication." Her voice slightly slurred.
"You due for another round of your painkillers? I will get them and something for the nausea." Bradley strokes her cheek gently before he stands up to make his way to her bathroom to get the much needed painkillers and something to prevent her from throwing up more.
She curls further into Jake's warm body when he starts to massage her temples. He picks up the cool washcloth to put it back on y/n's neck but the sudden cold feeling surprises the trembling girl and her hand flies to Jake's chest fisting his shirt in an attempt ground herself.
"J-Jake." She gasps looking up at the blonde man holding her in his arms.
"I'm here, sweetcakes. You ready to get up?"
She nods her head into his chest, breathing in his scent. Despite her bad migraine attack Jake's odor doesn't make her sick, it grounds her, remind her that she's safe here, that she's home. On the contrary to the strong aftershave of Welsh. She shudders, she tries to shove the thought of his fingers touching her arm and his strong words in the back of her head.
After brushing her teeth to get the disgusting taste out of her mouth Jake takes her back to his bed. Tucking her in after Bradley gave her the medication to finally give her the release from the hammering headache she already suffers for hours.
"Can you stay with me? Please…" Y/n whispers as both her boyfriends kiss her forehead.
"Of course. We change and then we will lay down with you." Bradley caresses her cheek. He and Jake have to talk first, but he keeps that from her. They both know they have to talk to her as fast as possible but not when she is suffering from a bad migraine attack and is barely coherent. A small 'thank you' can be heard as the aviators leave the bedroom. She is the best that ever happened to them, that fact is clear.
---
"Hey, come here." Bradley opens his arms, he knows that Jake always suffers when y/n is sick, nearly as much as she does. But due to the situation that they have to fly out in the next days and leave her here alone he needs a bit more affection. Jake doesn't hesitate and gladly hugs his partner, he needs this comfort now. He would feel a lot better when he knows how long their deployment on the carrier will last, how long they have to leave y/n alone.
"I'm gonna miss her, Rooster. I'm worried to leave her."
Bradley tightens his hold he has on the blonde aviator. He is worried, too. But he doesn't know why and that scares him the most. Y/n is capable to be alone, even sick she can take care of herself, but she shouldn't. She should have them at her side, she suffered long enough alone on the hands of her ex. With Jake and Bradley at her side she should always be safe and never lonely.
"Me too, I will miss her too. We have to tell her as soon as possible. Hopefully she will feel better tomorrow."
---
The mattress dips beside her a big figure is crawling under the sheets she's huddled under. Y/n lets out a small whimper as she feels cold air spreads under the warm blanket.
"Shh, sweetheart. Go back to sleep." Jake speaks in a hushed tone as he tucks his girlfriend into his muscular chest. Her small hands wander immediately over his ribcage further up to his chest and rest directly over his heart. Felling the heartbeat of either one of her boyfriends is always calming her down and lulling her back so sleep. But she misses the other aviator dearly. "Roo-y?" She whispers into the dark room in great hope that her brunette partner is also joining them.
"I'm here, princess." She hears his deep voice behind her, a soft kiss is placed on the shell of her ear. With a content sigh she grabs one of his hands as he lays behind her, his chest pressing into her back. Finally she's in between the two man she calls her boyfriends. Before she's finally asleep again a nearly inaudible 'I love you' is coming out of her mouth. She finally said it, she loves them with all her heart. Her body goes limp, feeling safe and content to sleep off her headache.
---
"Morning." Bradley's voice still sick with sleep brings Jake out of his daydream. Both men didn't sleep that well last night. Thinking and overthinking how to tell their girlfriend that they have to fly out, teaching some morons on an aircraft carrier somewhere in the pacific ocean.
"Morning, babe. Coffee?" The blonde pilot asks as he's enveloped in a loving hug, feeling the other man's broad chest pressing into his back.
"Please, had a fucking shitty night." Bradley grunts as he ends the hug to get two mugs out of the cupboard.
Before the brunette pilot can rummage any further in of the drawers Jake grabs one of his hands.
"You heard her, yesterday before she fell asleep?" Jake asks looking deep into the warm eyes of his partner.
"Yes I did. Made my heart skip a beat. Fuck, I'm so thankful that she stumbles into our life." Even half asleep and not more than a shy and soft whisper both men heard the three most precious words out of y/n's mouth. To say the timing was awful with them going away is an understatement. But it is what it is. They have to tell her and make the best out of the next two days before their departure.
"Yes, but we have to tell her that we will leave her…"
---
Y/n wakes up slightly confused taking the heavy painkillers combined the anti-nausea medication leaves her always slightly confused and dizzy the next day. Fortunately the deadly painful headache is just a dull ache behind her eyes. She takes a look at the alarm on the nightstand and she knows that she has to hurry up she is already late for work. Peeling herself out of the warm and comfy bed leaving the content feeling of being safe and sound in Jake's bed behind she slightly stumbles as she makes her way to the door. She needs a proper shower so she has to go into her own bathroom in case she doesn't want to wash her hair with the guy's all-in-5 shower gel. She grabs the water glass from last night paddles with her bare feet to the door opening it quietly when she immediately hears Jake and Bradley talking.
"You heard her, yesterday before she fell asleep?" She can hear Jake asking.
Her hand flies to her mouth. She didn't dream it. She really said 'I love you' to them. She wanted to tell them at the right moment not when she just throw up her guts, with messy hair and confused from pain and medication.
"Yes, but we have to tell her that we will leave her…"
They will leave her. She said she loves them and they will leave her. Her hands start to tremble. She knew that this moment will come and here it is. She is certain that she has too much baggage, is too clingy and too vulnerable. And now yesterday puking her guts out like a disgusting little girl and then she telling them 'I love you' must have been the last straw. She ruined everything. The trembling in her hands increases and with a loud bang the water glass in her hand dashes to shivers on the floor just beneath her feet.

Tumblr media
You and Bradley were by no means official. But you had been hoping you were at least exclusive. For months you had been trying to have the conversation with him, trying to define the relationship, but he just brushed you off.
And now you knew why. Because tonight at the bar while you were surrounded by your friends, you were forced to watch Bradley flirt with some girl in a mini skirt who boldly bought him a beer and had her hand planted on his chest. He was eating it up, leaving you to silently stew in your anger, because nobody even knew he spent most nights tangled up in bed with you. This girl was laughing hysterically at everything he was saying, and you'd simply had enough.
It was time you forgot about Rooster Bradshaw. You didn't need to keep letting him string you along with his vague answers and half truths. There was no way you'd let him think you needed his attention exclusively if he was going to spread his around.
Recently you found that Hangman was good for a few things: the occasional laugh, keeping you on your toes in the air, and tons of flirtation.
"Hey, Hangman. Teach me how to play darts," you called out to him, and a second later he was guiding you toward the dartboard with his arm draped across your shoulders.
"I thought you'd never ask, Sweetness," he drawled, his lips close to your ear. "You're about to learn from the best."
You couldn't help but laugh at how cocky he was. "Is that so?"
"You thought I was only good in the air? I'm good everywhere. Here, stand like this," he told you, guiding you into place with his hands on your hips. Soon you were throwing darts with his help, nearly hitting the bullseye a few times. "You're a natural," he whispered, letting his hand glide up to rest on your shoulder. "You want a drink?"
"Please," you told him, and when he went to the bar, your eyes caught on Bradley. His cheeks were beet red, and he looked fuming mad.
"What the fuck is that?" he asked when he approached. His voice was low and harsh as he got in your personal space.
You shrugged. "Just hanging out with Jake."
Bradley scoffed. "Okay, well Jake can just keep his hands off you!"
"Why should he?" you asked, keeping your expression completely neutral.
Bradley's eyes narrowed to slits. "Because you're with me."
You laughed in his face. "Really? I had no idea. You seem to like flirting with other girls more than talking about-" His mouth met yours in a rough kiss. Right in the middle of the Hard Deck.
"No, you're with me," he growled again, gripping the back of your neck and kissing your lips and your jaw and your ear. "Say good night to Jake. I'm taking you home."
But you didn't say good night to anyone. You just tripped along next to Bradley as he guided you toward the exit. "What's gotten into you?" you asked him once you were outside.
But he didn't answer you. In fact, he didn't say anything as he picked you up and carried you to his Bronco and drove to his house while you complained the whole way. "This is ridiculous. You can't just suddenly decide that you're in charge of what I do!"
But you were just met with more silence.
"Bradley," you finally said, caving and talking first once you were in his bedroom.
He took your chin between his thumb and index finger, tipping your face up to look at him. He kissed your lips softly, brushing his mustache across your skin. "You're mine. Don't flirt with Jake. Don't flirt with anyone. You're with me."
You moaned at his words. "And just what do you think you were doing tonight, Bradley? You don't get to have a different set of rules for yourself."
He kissed you again. "I won't. Not again. Now get in bed, and spread your legs wide."
You watched his brown eyes flash with something exciting as you peeled your clothes off and climbed in his bed. But you quickly learned that what he had in mind wasn't going to be as pleasant as you originally thought.
At first, his mouth on your pussy felt amazing. His tongue felt possessive, like he was claiming you. But then when you were so close to the edge, he stopped cold and eased away from your body.
"What happened?" you gasped, panting as a sheen of sweat crept along your neck and chest.
"Say my name." His voice was harsh, and you clenched around nothing.
"B-Bradley."
"Louder."
"Bradley! Please, Bradley!"
Then his fingers were inside you and his lips were on your breasts, and you ran your hands up and down his neck. He was being possessive, and you loved it. This is what your body was craving from him. But just when you were close again, he released you.
"Fuck!" you gasped.
"Say it."
You swallowed hard, head tipped back in frustration as tears filled your eyes. "I'm yours, Bradley!"
Then he was filling you with his dick, and you felt perfect for a few moments as he pinned your hips down and moved so slowly. You could feel everything, each tiny thrust and every twitch of his cock. But he was making sure you knew he was in control, because he never went faster. He worked you up until you were a panting, gasping mess beneath him. Every vein in his neck was on display, and you wanted to cum so badly. Your legs were shaking, back arching off the bed as he stroked your sweet spot with expertise.
But as he brought you to the edge again, he seemed to reluctantly pull out. Then he growled, "Don't even think about cumming yet," next to your ear, and you cried out in frustration as he rubbed his tip across your clit. You watched him straddle your thighs as he smirked down at you, and he grabbed his cock while you gasped for air.
You watched him jerk off as you bit your knuckle in frustration, thrusting yourself up against him to try to get some more friction against your clit. Within a minute, Bradley was coating your pussy, belly and chest with his cum. Marking you. Then he dipped his fingers in the mess and held it up to your lips. He fed you his cum while you whined and begged him. "Please?" you gasped, after cleaning his fingers for the fourth time and rubbing yourself against his balls.
He pressed his lips to your ear as he dipped his sticky fingers in your mouth one more time. "You think Jake can take care of you like I can? You think anyone else can?"
You shook your head and mumbled, "No," around his fingers.
"That's right. Now who's about to make you cum?"
"Bradley!"
Finally he removed his fingers from your mouth and eased them through his cum and down to your pussy. He fucked you with his fingers and teased you with his tongue until you were hiccuping with relief as your orgasm quickly washed over you.
"That's my good girl," he crooned, running his mustache through your wetness and pressing his nose to your clit while your body shook for him. "So good. Don't forget who you're with now." He kept stimulating you until you had some tears falling from your eyes, but his lips were so gentle now as he worshipped your pussy.
You started to sit up as you whispered his name, and Bradley's eyes were on yours. He kissed you, and you moaned at the taste of yourself on his lips and mustache. He eased you back again, the mess of his drying cum rubbing between your bodies as you held him close.
"What made you change your mind all of a sudden?" you asked as his lips migrated to your jaw.
"I didn't change my mind all of a sudden. I've wanted to be exclusive for weeks, and start calling you my girlfriend."
Your eyes drifted closed at the word girlfriend uttered in his raspy voice. "Then why were you flirting with that girl? And avoiding my conversations?" you asked, taking his face between your hands.
He looked at you with his big, brown eyes and smiled. "Because I know you're too good for me, but I want you anyway."
You bit your lip and smiled at the ceiling. "I'm way too good for you."
"But you want me anyway," he supplied, making you giggle as he kissed your ear. Then he scooped you up and headed for the bathroom while he asked you to start referring to him as your boyfriend. "I made a mess, and I'll clean it up."
You weren't sure if he was talking about coating you in his cum or talking about your relationship, but either way, he was going to take care of it.
