it was so absolutely crushing that not a single soul read the jaivik fic i worked so hard on that i did a complete 180° and now im putting all my free time into creating fanart of a book that i know is going to get one (1) note and let me tell you, that is such a relieving experience like, i guess w larger fandoms you sorta assume that people will interact w the thing you created and when they don't you feel so worthless but in a basically non existent fandom you can just do whatever you want, no expectations, and post it just in case someone will some day think "hey, I'd love to see fanart of this book" and sometimes they do! but most times they don't, but thats okay, because you were expecting that, you create it for yourself, because you were the one who wanted the fanart
