Keeping the band a trio allows us to control volume whilst still being exciting, driving and grooving. We haven't ruled out adding a bassist but they would need to fit stylistically and personally. Thanks to Neil who does the sound at the Plough open mic... for letting me use his Alesis drum kit tonight. First time using an electric kit live. An observation: the kit was nice for full kit playing but the snare pad wasn't so good for rudimentary snare stuff. A mesh head may be better for this. I'm basing this on playing my own electric kit. Could I see myself using an electric kit live? Unsure.
