Well April has finally arrived Inter World and we are still dealing with winter wtf, lol. Well I hope you all had an enjoyable Easter/April Fools Day yesterday, I hope you got to see the sun for any festivities you and yours where taking part in. Here are my thoughts on what I asked you guys about last week.

On Monday I asked about the loot box situation in gaming right now and got some vocal responses. I agree with you that its a dumb setup for games to have things that you still have to pay for after you have paid for the game. Also it takes away the challenge if you can just buy the gear you want with out playing for it, then there is no point to the game. Also, also I can see how it causes problems among younger gamers not knowing that just buying things over time for game stuff will drain their families money if they don’t see the consequences behind them doing it.The game companies really need to re think their approach.

On Wednesday I asked about why people sing the national anthem like they have no sense. Now I just want to say that you guys were very vocal on this question and I freaking loved what you had to say. You guys and gals made this my second most liked and commented on question, keep it coming. I think though I figured out why people sing it so badly. The anthem is really a poem that’s meant to be read, not sung. So when artists have to sing words with no chorus it might throw them off. Plus I don’t think people really take the time to learn it correctly. They sing it how they remember it from school, and lets face it the older we get the less we remember what we learned back then.

Finally on Friday I asked about the percentage of gamers staying with games they have been with for years. I guess if you really like a game or game series you will just automatically stick with it. But I know personally that if a game or game series starts changing to much or at least becoming to cut and paste I like most people would let it go and look for something new. At least until my staple game comes up with something that might pull my interest back in. But as we all know currently most older games have been losing their fan base due to new setups etc, so its going to be touch and go for a while.

How many of you know a song that would be appropriate to sing to your ancestors?

If you don't know, I suggest you learn a few.

Sit in front of your ancestral shrine/altar and sing to them sometimes.

If they were into Gospel thats what you sing. Soul music.. sing that. Think about the lyrics and who you are singing to. If you remember hearing something growing up all the time, thats what you sing. Remember the times in which these people lived. What music gave them peace, comfort. Learn the lyrics and don't think you need to sound like Beyoncé. They don't care, they just want you there, sharing a moment, bonding, giving energy. Feeling free to be in that moment with them. Everything is energy. 🙌🏾

*BTW i change lyrics in Gospel songs ALL THE TIME!!! I replace Jesus with God, Egun, Olodumare... whichever fits best.* The ancestors know what's up.

The language in Vienna.

As we all have figured out by now, the main language in Austria is German. This poses a bit of a problem as we are English speaking people. Fear not! I have compiled a list of common words and phrases we will likely come across during our travels. Also thanks to the recommendation from Emily I’ve started using Duolingo.com and I highly recommend that you all try it too! It’s an easy way to get familiar with German and it only takes about ten minutes each day.

Before you jump into the list, though, there are some little notes that I want to make known about speaking German in Vienna:

Not all German sounds the same. Austria is filled with different dialects and there are slang words too. This can make it difficult to understand some people but don’t let this discourage you. It’s all about the learning experience 😊.

Many other blogs and forums have mentioned that it’s much appreciated when an attempt is made to speak German. Practice! There’s no harm in learning a new language.

It’s likely that we’ll come across many English speaking people in Vienna but it’s still a good idea to have a basic understanding of German. This will especially be helpful in restaurants so we can understand the menus if they’re not in English.

**I suggest using google translate to hear the pronunciation of these words. It’s difficult to sound them out through text.**
