So I saw a pic a while ago, where someone pointed out that in the scene where Tozer talks to the marines, Hickey is holding a deck of card with a King of Hearts on top (I lost the og post, sorry).

I wanted to see for myself and make sure that it was a King, not a Jack. And it looks like it is indeed a King. Img from Wikipedia:

h and I found this lovely fact about a King of Hearts:

"The King of Hearts is sometimes also referred to as The Suicide King. Of course, it might have something to do with the fact that he is the only royal in the deck who appears to be killing himself – horribly, and with swords."

Apparently it's due to a printing error, but still, pretty interesting. source

I found another card reference. This one is in episode 3 in the scene where Hickey is preparing for.. you know... in Gibson's cabin. The card is on the table, and it's very out of focus, but I think it's either The Queen or Jack of Diamonds (because the King has the symbol on the other side of the card and is looking in a different direction). I'm using the same deck from the previous post - reynolds & sons deck:

source I think it's probably the Queen, based solely on the amount of red paint at the bottom that we see on the card in the screenshot. So there, now we have Billy Gibson - The Queen of Diamonds. I don't know if it was intentional, maybe the set designers just didn't want the desk to look too empty, but I choose to believe that they did it on purpose.

1. Why do you like or dislike this character?

I really like Dr. Finkelstein! He has a lot of complexity as a character when you think about why he made Sally and what his roles + intentions are in that relationship. There's a lot of interpretations of it in the fandom, and although Finkelstein *himself* isn't exactly a character many like or look up to, I think he's well-written in serving as an obstacle for Sally, story-telling wise.

Also, I love mad scientist characters in lab coats! Seeing disabled characters in stop-motion films always makes me happy.
