💌share something with us about an up-and-coming work (WIP) that has you excited!:

I am in the editing stages right now of a Vampire AU that I started back in October. It's a blend of Star Wars lore and Buffy the Vampire Slayer (but don't worry, you don't need to know anything about Buffy to enjoy the story). Ahsoka is a slayer living in Coruscant, Obi-Wan is her Watcher, Padme is the leader of the Coruscant witches Coven, and Anakin is a powerful magic user with a prophecy surrounding him that's vague at best, downright confusing at worst.

And, of course, bad stuff goes down, Anakin gets bitten, and turns into a pain in Obi-Wan's neck and backside. There's lots of guilty Obi-Wan, magic, demon fighting, more guilty Obi-Wan, and aggressive vampire on human smut that I hope delights~ ✨

Here's an excerpt from chapter 18. Minor spoilers:

“What do you see?” Obi-Wan asked. “Millions of galaxies and millions of worlds, all filled with millions of potentials and millions of stories,” Anakin whispered, his voice deep and layered, warped by his magics. “Describe it to me.” “I see a world where we are happy, smiling, embracing a small child as she learns to walk. And another where we are floating through an ocean, caught in a storm, rigging tearing our hands open as we try to stay above the swell. One where neither of us exist but in the memories of others, their voices soft as they speak about us over cakes made from lemons and honey, soaked in sugars. And further yet, I see Padmé collapsed on the ground, pregnant with my children who I will never get to hold, surrounded by fire and rock. She is dying, and I am the cause. Your voice carries over the lashes of lava as you ask me to stop, misery choking us both as I continue on my path toward a destruction that I cannot walk away from. The pain is preferable to the love and forgiveness you have to offer. “I see these things and more like flashes, images flicking past, sensations felt and then forgotten, as the universe in all its multitudes spread out before me. It looks like liquid gold poured into dark waters, spinning and coiling out from long tendrils, streaking out across the galaxies, between stars and planets, dragging me along until I become a part of it all, broken into a million pieces until my form turns to dust and I cease to exist but in the memories of those I hurt.” As Anakin spoke his powers fluctuated, deepening before weakening, then spiking, hot energy prickling at Obi-Wan’s body until he almost cried out in pain. But he held Anakin’s hand through all of it, soothed and exhilarated by the experience. “In all of these possibilities we are together,” Obi-Wan said. He realized he was crying, voice tense with grief and happiness. “For good or for ill, we are together.” Anakin turned then, and for a moment Obi-Wan saw only the boy he fell in love with, cheeks pink, eyes bright and blue, lips soft and eager, skin gilded bronze. “In every reality, in every potential, in every universe.” “Never to part?” “Not even in death.”
