Sidenote: Those are IKEA Pride bags on the ground. I'm obsessed with IKEA. I know my IKEA bag with the yellow strap! Chot made that happen. I know it. The IKEA queers gotta have each other's backs.

Finally, Put is on the same level as KinnPorsche's Tawan, which means I LOVE HIS PETTY ASS while all of y'all hate him. Eff it up, sir!

If this really does state "Pat's sadness" like them YouTube comments suggested, I'm going to die of embarrassment for the level of whipped Jeng will be when he and Pat finally do get together.

And finally, if Jaab really is a Black Brooder, I'm gonna be salty.

I was just thinking about how many scenes we got of the characters in beds.

Pat and Jeng sharing one bed, back to back, but both absolutely thrilled and smiling to themselves and enjoying the closeness while still with a visible distance between them.

Jaab and Jen in two beds but beside each other and Jaab reaching out to him, turning to him, constantly seeking like a desperate flower trying to sneak peeks at the sun.

Put alone in a bed that is sealed against him, keeping him far from the softness and comfort a bed should provide.

(And a memory of Pat and Putt when they were happy together, joyous together, when they laughed and loved and before they lost whatever they had.)

It's so many moments illustrating not just where their relationships are but also the problems.

Two beds because there's an entire relationship between them.

One bed but backs to each other because they don't yet see each other.

A sealed and cold bed because loneliness is freezing him out of his own life.

(And past warmth that cannot be recaptured because the past is over, the past is the past.)

I've been obsessing thinking about the scene with Jaab and Jeng, and about how the first time we see Jeng this episode, he's thinking about how his dad wants to get rid of the department altogether (and, presumably, how his dad disapproves of Jeng in general, not just professionally), and about how Jaab says several times that since he's the youngest, and Jeng is involved in the family business, he can follow his own dreams.

And that brings me to this:

Jeng, mid-breakdown, insisting he can handle it.

The quiet devastation on Jaab's face, when Jeng amends "I think I can".

This is a man watching his big brother, who he is fully aware he owes his own ability to have the career he wants, and be kind of a fuck up, a silly lil' guy to, let himself fall apart because he can't have the thing that he wants. That he can't love the person he wants to love. And it isn't just that Jeng's situation is an echo of Jaab's heartbreak.

This is Jaab seeing Jeng want something for himself for what is probably the first time.

Jeng follows his dad's orders, even when he disagrees, even when they hurt him, because he's the oldest, and that's what he's supposed to do. The weight of his father's disapproval is a real, tangible thing for Jeng, and it has been the entire show. Jaab is just now seeing it in a way that he hasn't before, either because he didn't want to look, or more likely, because Jeng couldn't -or wouldn't - let it show.

Which brings us here:

Jaab reassuring Jeng that he's allowed to feel things, too. That he can cry and be "weak", and want things. (In the context of "they're brothers from an oppressive and controlling father", this line reads as having an unspoken "no matter what dad says", to me)

And then, the line that keeps coming back to punch me in the stomach: "You've done so well".

Because this isn't just a "let it out, that's it, good". This isn't a "you did what you could, it'll be okay". This isn't a "you got it out, I'm proud of you".

This is a "I see everything you've done, and everything you've given up, and how hard you try, and you've done so well. I'm here now, and I understand, and you've done so well."

This is "I love you, you've done so well, it's okay to need a break."

This killed me, and it keeps coming back to do it again.

(don't mind me oldest sibling in a difficult family posting, but these two are breaking me into little tiny pieces)

Pat is gone.

This guy is head over heels.

Jaab. What can I say? The way he looks at him...

I need more information about what happened with them. Tell me. Cause I'm starting to feel sad for Put and I don't think I'm suppose to.

Also gonna need to know more about this.

The passive aggressiveness of this scene was delightful. (Found myself sympathising with Put again)

The classic.

This was a different. I liked it. I like him.

And then we have these two.

Just being all in love and happy. I love them. Please let them stay this way.

Maybe I'm just biased and delulu, but something about the dynamics between Pat and Put is not sitting well with me. I can't quite put my finger on it yet

I can't believe they put Jeng in a white vest and a black button up shirt and I can't even enjoy it peacefully because of all the tension in the episode

Just reporting in after step by step episode 10 and erm…….it’s not “step by step” the series anymore.

It’s “long jump by catapult” the episode

I sat on this ask for a bit because I have mixed feelings about this episode, but unlike everyone else, I have only one true issue:

JEN'S PINK!

Where in the Old-Navy-flip-flop was it?!

If there is anything a Pink Person knows how to do, it is to wear pink!

Even in the most desperate of times, a Pink Person ALWAYS WEARS PINK!

So for Jen to abandon his color in these trying times knowing that Jaab is dating someone named Paint (WHAT THE FUCK, JAAB?!) while attempting to celebrate the love and union of two of his friends . . . bruv.

Like, I'm thrilled the show confirmed that Jeng has been thinking about marrying Pat since he saw him in his tux in episode four.

And I'm so happy that Jeng was wrapped all up in Pat's blue with blue lighting, blue ties, and blue clothing.

And it's great that Jeng and Pat got that blue lighting treatment while Pat wore pink because he, too, is in love.

But why did we have to sacrifice the Pink Person's pink to do it? Then for Jaab to be in those ugly ass neutrals?! I might not know what his color is but I know for damn sure he will NEVER be neutral!

Jen and Jaab lost their colors this episode as Jeng and Pat picked up each other's at an exceeding rate, which is alarming.

As @colourme-feral pointed out, Pat and Chot started this episode as versions of each other at different points. Chot is in a long-term committed relationship that is a secret, while Pat is too scared to even start a relationship where his outcome could be very similar to Chot's. We don't know why Pat and Put broke up the first time, but the popular guess is Put's job required a level of staying in the relationship closet that Pat was uncomfortable with.

What will happen now that all eyes are on Jeng and Pat and the relationship is already affecting their jobs? We are getting some blues next week.

But at what cost?

Because if Jeng's color really is black, why is he regressing back into it with neutrals like his brother has with Jen when Pat is stepping into it?

This is clown behavior, but Jeng's father is wearing blue, so I'm hoping when he speaks to Pat, he won't be the absolute worst.

And Jaab is moving back into a shade of red.

But, honestly, I just need Jen to get his color back. And I want Jaab to be the one to give it back to him.

Because both of these brothers avoid the hard conversations (Jaab when Jen wanted to talk about their kiss and Jeng when Pat wanted to talk about their work issues).

Both of these brothers are going to have to make a choice, not just about their colors, but about their love.

It's time to make a tough decision.
