Hi. I'm looking for a fic I'm hoping someone can help me find. It's a 3 part (I think) poly J2xreader fic. They go on a vacation to a beach and the reader is attacked. Sorry I don't have more details... but hopefully someone knows it...?
We sent a message to our Discord server, but it didn't ring any bells for anyone in there. Hopefully, someone out in the world will see this and recognize it!!

Does anyone know this fic our Nonnie is looking for?

Calling all fanfic aficionados: I'm currently obsessed with J2 polyamory stories. Reader inserts (where I can pop myself into this crazy sexy situation). I'm a masochist for that angsty feeling left out/like a consolation prize/2nd best situation. But I also need happy endings and lots of love. Smut is a plus. I'm a suck for the boys being just life soulmates, and the physical intimacy is because of how much they truly love each other. Yet, they both love either the reader and/or their wives. (Yes, I'm even seeking J2 with their wives, I usually put myself in Gen's place!! It's all good.) Please give me whatever it is you've got. I like a good story as well.

Actually, that other anon makes me wonder how that whole plot line will be effected when everything is edited for compatability. If it's not to spoilery would you be willing to share what you have in mind? Will it be a significant change?
Nah, barely changed at all. For the statue, only a couple small things will change:
In earlier chapters i'll insert a couple mpments of Bill thinking "i can get out of this if i can find my statue, wherever it is, and get my soul back into it"; that way in ch 44 i can change his outrage from "you knew [that it exists]?!" to "you knew where it was?!" with only slight wordinc changes; plus it'll punch more if people remember he was holding onto that as his guaranteed escape just to find out it doesn't work
MAYBE, insert a stinger line to the effect of "Ford tries not to feel guilty about the unicorn hair barrier he and Mabel put around the statue last year, since that's prob why Bill can't get into it but he's totally not about to tell Bill that." There's a few issues with that though:
We know ford wrote about this incident in a journal. It probably wasn't J1, 2, or 3, because they're probably mostly full. I wrote that ford's J4 got stolen by Shmebulock in the fall and he started writing J5 then; next summer Bill stole J4 from Shmeb and has been using it since. So this incident CAN'T have been written about in J4 or Bill would know about the unicorn hair barrier & that Ford knows where his corpse is. Did Ford write it in J1 or J2 before tossing them into the void? (Can't be J3, i think we're all out of Secret Lost J3 Pages thanks.) Did Mabel (and Mabel's brother) take a trip back to GF in the fall after Ford had lost J4, and that's when Ford & Mabel made the barrier? This is an annoying detail i'll need to resolve.
when Bill finds out about the unicorn hair barrier, obviously he's gonna wanna go back and break that barrier and try shaking his hand again; and like, that's just gonna result in exactly the same thing we already did in ch 44, with him trying to shake and being devastated it didn't work. We only need that scene once. It's not heartbeaking the second time, it's just tedious. Gotta figure out how to make it non-tedious.
I can't NOT have him try again though, because if I don't, then readers will go "ooOOoo the only reason it didn't work is because of the barrier, so we're obviously building up to the big moment where he tries again and this time it works!!" Which we aren't, obviously. My original writing plans never included the unicorn hair barrier because it didn't exist yet, i'm not building up to the reveal that the statue actually works.
And I'm not interested in making people think it'll work the second time, 44 was MEANT to be the It Totally Doesn't Work scene. A red herring is only a red herring if you put it there on purpose; otherwise it's just a dead fish distracting everyone with its dead fish smell.
So the barrier's annoying. I'll solve it when I get to it.
For the overall plot arc (not just the statue chapter), the only thing I need to change is rewriting "Bill's scared the Axolotl's coming for him because maybe he wasn't supposed to come back to the 21st century even though he wasn't told not to" to "Bill's scared the Axolotl's coming for him because he escaped Theraprism." Which is WAY WAY BETTER. Honestly I thought Bill's motivation for thinking the Axolotl was gonna Get Him was the weakest part of the eclipse arc, so I am deeelighted that the Theraprism gives me something so much more frightening to substitute in. It'll also give me an opportunity to begin working in some info about the Ax's own character & motivation that otherwise I wouldn't be able to include until way into season 2.
This will require me to substantially rewrite Bill's conversation with the Ax—for the better—I've already rewritten like 70% of it. And... basically rewrite nothing else.
That's it. A tiny tweak to Bill's wording in ch44, MAYBE throw in a single line about the unicorn barrier once I decide how I'm going to handle it in the rest of the fic, rewrite his conversation with the Ax, the end.
All the other edits will be fluff from TBOB plumping things out and tiny nudges toward better TBOB compliance—slide in a hint of medical trauma to Bill's refusal to let Ford call a doctor, make a mention during the chess scene that sometimes Bill used to let Ford win, that sort of thing.

I am very grateful to both tarot readers for analyzing the relationship of J and M, A and J, A and J2, A and M. It is so entertaining *Insert gif of man eating popcorn* but also satisfying *insert gif of the duck smoking* to see how everything we feel, say or theorize here does not seem to be so far from reality. reality. At the end of the day, we were not as delulu or crazy as certain defenders accuse us hahahaha.

I Think I Smell A Rat (FNAF SB fanfic) C3 - Deals In The Dark
In Summary:
Being a robotic repair rat who lives in the walls of the pizza-plex is a pretty great gig, all things considered! You fix the wires instead of chew them, and you get into tight spaces those silly humans can't reach and fix things up behind the scenes. You do your little tasks diligently, and all is well. That is, until one night when you realize all of your other repair rat friends have gone missing, and almost all of those animatronics outside the walls are acting strange... You aren't sure what it is that needs fixing, but by golly you'll fix it! You just might need a little help along the way...
Things To Know:
Not a lot of warnings for this one! There is some peril and danger, damage to robots, and damage to. Uh, whatever the heck Afton is at this point??
Reader insert! You're a little rat shaped robot a handful of inches long. Lots of borrower-related themes in here
Daycare attendant centered, though the other animatronics make brief appearances. You hang out with Sun in the first half of the story and Moon in the second half!
A little over 17000 words in total, just a lil guy! 5 chapters, they're all pretty short
I somehow managed not to swear once in the entire story, aw hell yeah! Wait-
Ao3 link: Here!
Start Here: Chapter 1
Chapter 2 | Chapter 3 | Chapter 4
C3 - Deals In The Dark
It wasn't as hard as you were dreading it might be to operate the enormous repair machine in the heart of parts and service. The command console was a little difficult to gain access to, but once you did, interfacing with it was a breeze.
Sun was laying inside, on a wide metal table and powered down for repairs. You watched progress updates scroll by on the control console's monitor.
Disconnecting wires designation D-32 to E-15… Update found… Welding item C3745 to apparatus 'Support Beam J2'… Update downloaded… Connecting wires designation D-32 to E-15…
You'd made sure Sun would stay set to safe mode throughout the repair. Although, apparently, setting Monty to safe mode hadn't worked. At least, safe mode didn't fix anything once an animatronic had already gotten the virus. You weren't sure what else to try to get rid of the virus.
One thing at a time. You stood on your hind haunches atop the command console's little table, peering into the repair chamber. Enormous looming arms swung back and forth over Sun, performing calculated and quick movements. Luckily, the chamber was stocked with many of the small generic parts needed for the repair. Unfortunately it wasn't stocked with everything, like Sun's outer casing, which he'd have to attach himself. That particular part was a bit too big for your teeny paws to handle.
You really hoped Sun wasn't too uncomfortable, and that the repairs would go smoothly. You'd had your fair share of damage in your time, and you really hoped it wasn't as unpleasant for Sun as it had been for you. You wondered if he’d ever gotten damaged like this before.
You had no idea when or how it happened, but you'd gotten rather attached to your exceptionally tall yellow friend.
Finally, those massive repair arms folded themselves back up into the chamber’s ceiling, and the door hissed open. The control console's screen flashed a little 'Repairs Complete' message.
Sun's long fingers gripped the door frame tightly. His face plate came into view, slowly swiveling from side to side.
"Sun! How are you feeling??" You waved your tail, getting Sun's attention.
Sun's gaze fixed down on you. His face plate sharply rotated a handful of degrees. He looked… stiff. Maybe the repairs had been rough for him?
Sun stepped out of the chamber towards you, stumbling as he did and nearly crashing to the ground. He caught himself and lurched unsteadily forwards.
"…Sun?" Something wasn't right. You didn't want things to not be right.
Sun lifted a hand, and for a moment you thought he would offer it out to you to climb up on. His fingers balled up into a fist, and his hand kept rising high above you.
You moved in the nick of time. The entire table lurched as Sun's fist crashed down on its surface, right where you'd been a moment ago. The force of the hit sent shock waves up your limbs. Sun wrenched his fist out of the crater he'd made in the metal surface.
When Sun raised his fist again, you were already moving.
Between the panic and the despair over your friend's condition, you were desperately trying to come up with a plan, some way to fix this. You leapt from the table to a padded stool, and ended up sliding down one of the wooden legs. You hit the concrete floor hard, but fortunately not hard enough to break anything.
The stool suddenly vanished from beside you. It appeared in your line of site a moment later as it sailed across the room and crashed against the far wall, legs snapping off from the force of the impact and splinters flying everywhere.
You looked up at Sun for just a moment. He was well over a hundred times taller than you, and although he hadn't gotten any taller since you'd first met him, he'd never looked quite this imposing before. The way he was looming over you was downright menacing. The cold fluorescent lights overhead cast his face in shadows.
     The light!
You remembered Sun saying something about how he was only awake when the lights were on. If turning the lights off would put him in rest mode, then that might give you time to figure out how he'd gotten the virus and maybe even fix him.
Of course, you had to make it to the walls first.
Sun's hands were descending towards you from either side, fingers twitching. With Sun directly in front of you, that only left one direction to flee. You spun around and scurried as fast as your little legs would carry you.
You skidded under a long storage shelf half a moment before Sun's hand slammed into the ground, missing your tail by a centimeter. You bumped into a lost screw as you spun, trying to find the nearest port into the walls. There was one all the way across the room, which was not helpful by any means. There was one closer to the door you and Sun had entered through. It was still far, but you'd have to make it work.
You had no time to plot out a course. Sun was crouched down and was patting around blindly under the shelf for you. You kicked the screw back behind you, and it pinged against the concrete floor. The noise and motion was enough to distract Sun for a moment, and you made a break for it.
The port was in sight. There was nowhere to hide between you and it, so you scurried for all you were worth.
You had barely a second after registering the shadow that had fallen over you to change course. The hand descending upon you missed, but you hadn't been quite quick enough to evade it entirely. Sun's hand fell on your tail, pressing it to the ground. You felt the joint bend just slightly as you came to a very abrupt stop. Then you were suddenly no longer on the ground- Sun was lifting you by the tail.
You wiggled madly, joint stress errors flashing irritatingly on the edges of your vision along with the pathfinding warnings. You could barely see Sun's other hand coming towards you. Thinking fast, you swung towards Sun's oncoming hand. At the same time, you disconnected your tail joint from your body. You'd only had to do that once before, when you'd gotten stuck in one of those false paths in the walls. Sun's hand overshot you as you sailed clean over it, and you landed on Sun's arm. You wasted no time and scurried your way up to his shoulder.
Sun's hand whapped down on his arm behind you, missing you narrowly. He started to swing himself from side to side, trying to shake you off. You slipped on his smooth metal casing despite your grippy paws and little claws.
You fell through the air for one horrible second before you managed to grab hold of Sun's scarf. Your momentum sent you swinging. Sun's hands swiped at you, but he missed. He changed tactics and grabbed the scarf instead. You reached the end of your arc, and let go of the fabric just as Sun yanked on the scarf. You dropped a short ways before you were able to grab hold of more fabric- Sun's pants.
You held on for dear life as Sun kicked his leg out, trying to shake you off. Unfortunately for Sun, he seemed to be just as uncoordinated as the other infected bots, and he wound up tipping back a bit too far. He fell on his side, crashing to the ground hard enough to finally jolt you loose. Thankfully, you didn't have far to fall.
After a moment of disorientation, you got your feet back under you and set your sights back on the port into the walls. Sun made a mad swipe for you, but he wasn't able to reach you before you scampered out of range. He was still struggling to get to his feet when you made it at last to the walls.
The port slid shut behind you, and you took a moment before heading to the light controls. You felt uncomfortably electrified, and your mind was racing. Your casing was clicking with how hard you were shaking.
You recalibrated your balance, now that you were without a tail, and tried to calm down. You needed to fix this. You needed to help Sun and everyone else.
You were a little more cautious than normal as you made your way through the walls. Without your tail light you couldn't use your eyes to see in pitch black areas. Even the best eyes couldn't see in total darkness. You were used to using your map to navigate anyways, and you doubted any of the paths had changed too drastically since you'd last been able to double check them with sight. As you navigated the unsettlingly quiet and empty walls, you tried not to think about how if that whole debacle had gone even a little bit worse, there might not be anyone left in the whole building who could fix things. All the other rats were gone without a trace, all the animatronics were infected… and even worse, if things weren't fixed by morning when the human staff arrived to open the building for the day, the humans would all be in danger.
You felt a little overwhelmed as you worked on the lights. You really hoped you could figure something out once Sun was in rest mode, because otherwise… well. You decided that it was best to focus on the tasks directly in front of you. You fixed the lights, then made your way back through the walls.
The port slid shut behind you. It was blissfully dark in the room now. You were almost expecting Sun to be right where you'd left him on the floor, but instead he was crouching down a few paces away. You could see his freshly repaired internal mechanisms and wires through the gaping hole in his back, where he was still missing his plating. He was still. He must have just locked up in the position he'd been in when he entered rest mode. You made your way towards him.
Suddenly, Sun stood up, and you jumped in surprise. But… hang on. Where did he get that funny hat? Why was his paint blue now?? Where were his orange triangles poking out around his head? And the pattern on his pants was different too. You were sure of that; you'd scrambled up and down his pant legs several times now. Instead of stripes, there were now stars decorating his pants.
"What do we have here…?" The bot you were less and less sure was Sun swiveled his face plate around to look at you.
You attempted to swing your tail around to blink out a reply, but quickly remembered you'd detached it earlier. You weren't sure what to do. Who even was this?? He looked an awful lot like Sun, almost an exact copy if not for the differences in costume, but there was no way this was Sun. You scanned the animatronic's ID. Or rather, both of his IDs. DCA-S-1.5 and DCA-M-1.2, same as before…
Wait. Two IDs… this bot didn't just look like Sun. This WAS Sun, or rather, the other ID he apparently shared a body with.
Sun's alter bent slightly to peer down at you. You noticed just then that he was holding your tail in his hand. You straightened up and wiggled your nose at it, trying to communicate that you wanted it back. You hoped Sun's alter would be as kind as he was.
"Oh? Is this yours?" The bot chuckled at you and held your tail out. He was holding it too high above you though, you couldn't quite reach it.
You tried to jump for it, but the bot lifted his hand out of range. You realized then that he was messing with you, intentionally taunting you with your own tail. Welp, there goes your hopes of Sun's alter being nice.
The bot's hand lowered just slightly as he waved your tail back and forth above you, trying to get you to jump for it again. You remained seated on the ground, wishing you were capable of glaring.
"What's the matter? Don't you want your tail back?" the bot teased.
You continued to stare at the bot. You thought about all the cross phrases you would say if only you had your tail. You'd picked up a decent vocabulary from watching the humans over the years.
"Hmm." The bot closed his fingers around your tail, hiding it in a fist. He seemed to be bored of taunting you. He lowered himself into a crouch and spun his face in slow circles at you. "You wouldn't happen to know how I got here, would you? Sun usually doesn't like to leave the daycare…"
     You nodded your head.
"Oh??" The bot's head suddenly stopped turning. It quickly swiveled back upright, and he leaned towards you.
You nodded your head towards the bot's fist, where the end of your tail was hanging out between his fingers.
"Ah, I see." The bot eyed you for a moment. His free hand quickly snapped out, fingers wrapping around you before you could even start to move the other way. "Can't have you running off once you get what you want, now can we?"
The bot straightened, holding you high up above the ground in his hand. Only then did he finally hand over your tail. You snatched it from his fingers and quickly reattached it. It was just a tiny bit loose, since the joint had been bent a little out of place earlier, but there wasn't much you could do about that right now.
"Jerk," you flashed at the bot first.
     The bot only laughed.
     "I preferred Sun."
The bot's head rotated curiously. "And how do you know Sun?"
"Why should I tell you??" You turned your head away from the bot, still cross with him for the taunting and general rudeness.
The bot's fingers closed in around you like a cage. The fingers of his other hand wrapped around the end of your tail.
"We made a deal. If you don't answer my questions, I can easily take this back," the bot threatened.
"Seeing as I can't talk to you without my tail anyways, go right ahead," you countered.
You stared the bot down for a long moment. Finally, he huffed and his fingers loosened. He flattened his palm back out as you snatched your tail away from him, curling it tightly around you.
"How about this. If you answer my questions, I'll put you back down. Sound fair?" the bot offered.
You considered him for a moment. "I want an apology, too."
The bot huffed and tilted his face plate back. He made several annoyed noises before finally relenting. "Fine. I am sorry for teasing you."
     "And?"
The bot grumbled and huffed some more. "And for threatening you."
"That wasn't so hard, now was it?" Admittedly, you took some pleasure in this jerk's frustration.
"Are you going to answer my questions or not??"
"Be patient," you scolded. You waited only a few seconds longer than necessary before going on. "Sun and I were working together to find my friends and figure out how to fix this virus problem."
     "Virus??"
You explained everything you had learned so far. You also explained the whole encounter with Monty, and having to patch Sun up.
"Hm. That explains why I'm missing my casing." The bot took a moment to process everything you'd told him. "Sun has this virus too? How did that happen?"
"I don't know. I made sure he stayed in safe mode the entire time."
Just like with Monty, safe mode hadn't seemed to do much of anything. So then, how was the virus getting into everyone's systems…? Another thought occurred to you just then.
"Why don't you have the virus?? If you share the same body with Sun, shouldn't you be infected as well?" you questioned.
"We may share the same body, but we're two separate entities. We run our own separate programs and even get our updates separately," the bot explained.
     Updates…
And just like that, it all clicked into place. Being in safe mode might have kept Sun off the main network, but when he'd powered down for repairs, the updates waiting for download must have gone through anyways. Of course, the command console was connected to the main network, just like everything else in the complex. It had downloaded the update for Sun without him ever having to leave safe mode. The virus was in the update. That's why being connected to the main network didn't hurt or help or make any difference at all- the virus wasn't on the network, it was hidden in the update.
Which meant that you really were the only repair rat in commission in the entire building. Everyone else had long since automatically downloaded the update when they'd powered down for a recharge right before the building closed for the night. You'd been late returning to the nest because you'd been handling a repair that had taken a while longer than it should have. You'd noticed the weird feeling and the disturbing quietness on the network and had decided to investigate before charging, and now you were beyond glad you hadn't decided to charge first after all.
You explained this to Sun's alter. The bot stared at you for a long moment after you'd finished, still processing.
"I suppose I shouldn't download any updates then. I haven't been active since nap-time, so I haven't had a chance to yet." The bot hummed thoughtfully. "Unfortunate. Sounds like you've got a lot on your plate."
"MY plate?? You mean you aren't going to help?"
"Why would I? You're the repair rat. You're supposed to fix things. I'm the daycare attendant. I attend to the daycare. Speaking of..." The bot unceremoniously dropped you back on the ground. He stepped over you and made his way to the door.
"Wait!!" You tried to flash your tail light at him, but he wasn't looking your way.
The bot opened the door. He jumped back however when he was met with a blast of light from the hall outside. He punched the controls, and the door slid shut, blanketing the room in darkness once more.
"…" The bot slowly turned to face you. "Why are the lights on. My internal clock says its 3:30 AM. The lights should still be off."
"I turned the lights on, so Sun could leave the daycare and navigate the building."
The bot sighed heavily, pressing a hand over his face. "So you've got me trapped here. Great. Even if I could leave, the lights are probably all on around the daycare…" The bot's face plate snapped back to face you again. He stomped back over and intentionally loomed over you, setting his hands on his hips. "Turn the lights back off. Now."
"No." You refused to let this rude bot intimidate you, no matter how tall he towered over you. "You're going to help me fix this virus problem."
"Oh, am I??" The bot scoffed and folded his arms. "You think you can boss me around? I could crush you. It wouldn't even be hard."
You weren't impressed. A lot of things could easily crush you, this bot wasn't special. "Look, I need your help, and you need mine. Besides, you don't want Sun to be stuck with this horrible virus, do you?? Don't you want to help him?"
The bot paused. "…What would I even do? I don't know how to fix viruses."
"I need you to help me get around safely, like Sun did. You leave the virus business to me. Now that I know it came from the update, I can try and track where the update came from. Once I figure that out, all you have to do is take me there."
There was more grumbling and huffing, but the bot eventually relented. "I guess I don't have much choice, do I?" He sighed. "Fine. But only because I'm obligated to help Sun."
"Great." You brightened considerably. It wasn't ideal, but at least you had a plan. You scurried back across the room to the command console. "Can you help me get up there please?"
The bot sighed, but stalked over and picked you up. "Can't believe I'm letting a rat order me around."
You ignored his pouting and navigated around the impressive dent in the table. You booted the console back up and started hunting down the update files. They weren't too hard to find, you easily pulled up the detail logs of the last repair and found the installed update files through there. You carefully scanned through the files.
"How long is this going to take??" the bot complained. His face plate was looming behind you, the little bell at the end of his cap touching the table.
"It would go faster without interruption," you flashed at him without turning your attention away from the console.
You heard unintelligible grumbling from behind you as you continued scanning.
Finally, you found what you were looking for. A rogue element hidden in the update file. A sizable chunk of strange data you couldn't read or decipher. You didn't try, thinking interacting with it directly would be a bad idea. Instead, you traced the source of this odd file. You found the ID of a different console. When you plugged the ID into your mental map, the location ping came back with an 'out of bounds' error. You were worried for a moment that the console was somewhere out beyond the walls of the building, but… focusing on your map, you could see old winding trails, not unlike the unconventional routes you had marked out for places in the walls that didn't align with what your map told you.
You knew where the console was. It was down underground, below the plex. In that strange space that your map insisted didn't exist, but you knew was there anyways.
Reluctantly, you turned to tell Sun's alter what you'd found.
"Strange. That console ID isn't on my map either. Do you know how to get down to this unmapped area?" the bot asked.
"I don't think you'll fit through the pathway I use. But maybe there's a different pathway near it? There's usually big doorways next to wall ports." You nodded towards the room's entrance, where your port into the walls was indeed right next to the big door. "Once we get there, I can delete the virus from its source and force the update to run again. That should delete the old download file and reinstall it, without the virus. Everyone would be fixed."
"Can't I just get you to your little pathway down into this weird underground place? You can go the rest of the way there yourself, right??" the bot whined. "Surely none of the other animatronics will bother you after that, I doubt anyone else even knows this place exists."
"I can't navigate down there. My pathfinding has enough trouble outside of the walls as it is. I've tried before, and I nearly got lost. If that happened, I'd be stuck down there and there'd be no one left who could help fix things."
"Ugh, fineee." The bot heaved a sigh. "Let's just get this over with so I can get back to the daycare. And you'd better help me get back to the daycare once this is all over."
"Look, I'm not exactly looking forward to your extended company either. But we need to work together if we're going to fix this and help everyone, including Sun. I promise I'll fix the lights and help you get back to the daycare once you've helped me take care of the virus. Deal?"
The bot looked at you for a long moment, still deliberating. Finally, he sighed. "Alright. Deal." He set his hand down flat on the table.
You climbed up onto his hand. His fingers curled around you, then adjusted to drop you off on his shoulder, apparently uninterested in carrying you safely in his hands the way Sun had. He was wearing a funny capelet in place of a scarf though, and you found the fabric easy to hold on to.
"…I'm Moon, by the way," Sun's alter said.
You wondered if Moon was also obligated to make introductions upon meeting someone new as well. "I don't exactly have a name, but Sun called me 'tiny friend'."
Moon huffed and spun his face around once. His cap swung around just behind you. "I'll just call you little rat. Or perhaps, mini nuisance. Tiny terror, even."
You begrudgingly settled in for what you felt was going to be a very long night.

Is there any (fannish) content you tend not to reblog? Conversely, is there anything you ALWAYS reblog?
Hmmm...idk. I try not to reblog AI fanart. A lot of it creeps me out anyway, so it's easy, but I have some things blacklisted to avoid it, too. I don't reblog cyber-delph due to the situation with many featured artists having statements on the original sites about not reposting their art anywhere-- I don't have accounts any of those places, so I just avoid seeing it altogether. I don't like to reblog fandom wank of the dogpile or mis-naming-people-you-hate variety.
I don't reblog fic I'm not interested in reading, so reader inserts and such, or other pairings I'm not into; though I DO reblog commission posts for writers and artists I follow regardless of their primary genre. I don't reblog sabriel.
Things that get an always reblog: playthings posts; potentially any wincest gif post, but that's on a whim directed by vibes of the day; crack posts, probably; j2 ops; sam/jared whump; interesting/fun commentary and headcanons; fandom events that are proship/don't censor wincest; serial killer wincest AUs; fandom history, including old wank for posterity; any fanfiction I think I want to read; witch!sam

New Member Spotlight - March 2024
The Pond is always growing and we want to make our new members feel welcome! Here’s a list of recent additions to our fishy family, along with a little info about them!
Tumblr media
Guppies, Jellies, and Mutuals, oh, my!
@samanddean76 -
Other SM names? - Same name on AO3 and Discord
OTP? - Wincest and/or J2.
Looking for in the Pond? - To be around other open-minded and creative people so that I can see how far I can be inspired to go with this writing thing.
Pairings you read? - All of it. I love Wincest, Wincestiel, Sabriel, Destiel, Jammy, and J2.
Genres you read? - Angst, Hurt/Comfort, Fluff, Smut, True Mates, Soul Mates, Unrequited Love, and A/B/O is my favorite way to combine all of the above.
Favorite writer(s)? - nyxocity. She started on LiveJournal with the first episodes to air and transfered a lot to Ao3. Her work in both SPN and SPN RPF is some of the best I've ever read.
What do you like to write? - A/B/O, AU's, Angst, Hurt/Comfort, True Mates, Soul Mates, Revenge, and All The Feels
Masterlist!
Most underappreciated fic? - Joyous Memories Amongst The Sorrow
Something you haven't written but would like to try? Why not? How can we help? - A full on, hard-core revenge story where nothing is softened, the focus doesn't shift away, and there is no doubt as to what was done. Haven't tried it yet as I'm not sure I'm ready to embrace the darkness required to write it. Also, I don't want to scare off my readers. How you can help? Encourage me to finally tackle that next seemingly impossible challenge.
@kayleighwinchester -
Other SM names? - KayleighWinchester (AO3)
OTP? - Awful as it sounds, Dean and my OC! Beyond that, absolutely Destiel.
Other fandoms? - I'm pretty active in the band Ghost's TikTok fandom! I used to be *huge* into Harry Potter, but that's definitely faded in the last few years. As it stands, Supernatural has definitely become the main obsession.
Looking for in the Pond? - I'm mostly here for the community! My fanfic writing has mostly been just for me and shared with a few close friends in the last few years - publishing it anywhere, especially in the really rough state it's in at present, is super daunting! I'm always looking for more people to bounce ideas off of, chat with, and generally obsess over the show with, as well as finding new stuff to read!
Pairings you read? - I'm especially fond of reader inserts, and they were my first big step into fanfic! When it comes to ships, I tend to stick specifically to Destiel, since it's my OTP, but I'm always willing to branch out!
Genres you read? - I love angst! Writing was, for a long time, my free version of therapy, so reading and writing angst was always a huge thing for me. I also love smut and fluff. ...Essentially, everything. Depends on the mood!
Favorite writer(s)? - I always have to boost TinkerbellBleu on Ao3, even though she isn't active anymore. She wrote an amazing DeanxOC fic, essentially turning episodes 1, 2, and part of 3 into full-length novels. I adore her writing and hope she comes back soon!
What do you like to write? - Most are CharacterxOC, and I have absolutely no self-control, so they are almost always ridiculously long. As it stands, I've been incapable of not just writing a fic that is supposed to span the entire show, because there's just *so many* good moments, good scenes, good storylines, etc. There's never one specific 'theme'; I write everything! I do enjoy writing angst, though.
Something you haven't written but would like to try? Why not? How can we help? - Smut! I've made an *attempt*, but never one that I actually kept. Generally, it comes down to a lack of confidence; I'd love some critiques if I ever get around to it!
@whiskeyjuniper -
Other SM names? - Whiskeyjuniper (AO3)
OTP? - DeanCas, Midam, crackship DeanChuck
Looking for in the Pond? - Sprint buddies!
Pairings you read? - DeanCas, Midam, crackship DeanChuck
Genres you read? - Horror
What do you like to write? - Horror, Weird
Masterlist!
Most underappreciated fic? - a happy place to dream about
@bloodydeanwinchester -
Other SM names? - Same name on Discord, alovelyhorror (AO3)
OTP? - Destiel
Looking for in the Pond? - Looking for a place to talk to other writers and participate in sprints.
Pairings you read? - Almost exclusively Destiel
Genres you read? - Angst with a happy ending is my favorite but I also love some good horror. my favorite trope is probably time travel.
Favorite writer(s)? - sobsicles and komodobits on ao3
What do you like to write? - mostly into writing longer destiel canon/canon divergent fics (although i do have an idea or two for aus)
Masterlist!
Most underappreciated fic? - When the Night Is Over
Something you haven't written but would like to try? Why not? How can we help? - The thing I'm most focused on wanting to do now is to finish the longer fic that I’m currently working on. I'm struggling with keeping up motivation now that I'm right in the middle of the fic!
@notanotherthembo -
Other SM names? - Same name on Discord
OTP? - Dean/Cassie
Other fandoms? - TWD, TOWL
Looking for in the Pond? - Beta readers, homies, amazing writers to talk shop with
Pairings you read? - Sam/Femme!Reader, DeanCassie, Sam/Dean/Femme!Reader, Wincest
Genres you read? - Smut, Rivals or Enemies to Lovers,
Favorite writer(s)? - @uncouth-the-fifth is the GOAT
What do you like to write? - Crossovers, specifically ones that feature Black femme characters as the romantic lead
Masterlist!
Most underappreciated fic? - Clap Your Hands If You Believe
Something you haven't written but would like to try? Why not? How can we help? - Reader inserts! I'm working on one right now that I need a beta reader for. I'm also considering finishing up/rewriting an old Spn/True Blood crossover series that I haven't touched in years.
@bigmouthlass -
Other SM names? - darali_starscream (AO3) & Darali (Discord)
OTP? - I write Dean/You, and Dean/Donna should've lived happily ever after.
Looking for in the Pond? - Get a better handle on fandom stuff, meet some other like-minded obsessives.
Pairings you read? - Dean/anyone. He fascinates me.
Genres you read? - Smut to start, anything interesting and well-written.
Favorite writer(s)? - @thoughtslikeaminefield, @sam-is-my-safe-word , @talltalesandbedtimestories, Edge_of_Clairvoyance (AO3), and @rizlowwritessortof
What do you like to write? - They start as smut, and insist on growing plots.
Masterlist!
Most underappreciated fic? - Stairwell Drums
Something you haven't written but would like to try? Why not? How can we help? - I'm trying to get comfortable writing Sam; he's harder for me to feel at ease with. Also slash generally, it doesn't come naturally to me.
Tumblr media
That's all for this month, folks! (If we're missing anyone, let us know and we'll add them to next month's list!) Make sure to say hi to the newbies and make them feel welcome! Thanks to all from @manawhaat, @mrswhozeewhatsis, @mariekoukie6661, @thoughtslikeaminefield, @spencereliotwinchester and @heavenssexiestangel!

Note
have you read anything from the @youcouldmakealife universe? “Thrown Off the Ice” is one of the best novels i have ever read and i come back to it over and over and over again.
though i am a long time slashfic reader harkening back to the uhh....backstreet boys/nsync days i stopped reading RPF a long time ago when the 4th wall lines for supernatural/J2 got very blurry. this was also during the original rising of HRPF, and while it felt like literally every single teen wolf AO3 author (what up twentysomething) was also writing hockey fic i definitely avoided it. also, i played hockey, (hey junior devils), and fandom life and “real” life were definitely separate things for me.
i started reading romance novels about a year ago, having gotten really bored of star wars fics, fell into straight sports romances, hockey romances, and then honestly ended up on heated rivalry and was like “so this is sid/ovi fanfiction, got it.” curiously, none of the straight romances really feel like fanfic or even self-insert/second person style fics, i think primarily because they are all written in the first person, which, as everyone knows, is a cardinal sin in fics.
getting back into the m/m hockey romances led me through all the ones recc’d in posts below, but also to “Thrown Off the Ice” and “You Could Make a Life” and the david/jake published versions. as i was reading them, they felt so much like fic but also were not based on any particular player as far as i could tell. a modicum of research revealed that they were original fics posted on AO3 a long time ago and were part of a super rich universe with a cast of characters more developed that any book series i have read in the past decade or so.
in any case, i’m making my way through the ao3 HRPF archives now. something about how much time has passed, how the men we’re reading about are, for the most part, well into their 30s without rampant “real world” speculation on their personal life, makes the sidney, geno, kaner, tazer, tyler, and jamie of these fics bear little to no resemblance to the actual human. having said that, i will never read a fic with a member of the hurricanes or really anything with the current batch of little hockey starlettes. because those people are children.
TL;DR: read TOTI if you haven’t already. also i’m a fandom old.
Hey book anon here! I assumed the Rachel Reid books were Sid/Geno-inspired but Sid/Ovi makes a lot more sense haha! Maybe I'll have to check out some Sid/Ovi fic??
I fully respect your not wanting to read EK (and yeah her het stuff is nowhere near as good - I am convinced she and SB make each other better, because SB's new stuff is really pretty meh also). I can't tell you how many books I've read thinking, wow, pretty much every fic writer I know would do a better job on this. Heck, *I* would do a better job on this!! Anyway - have a good one!
it's kind of amazing that sid/ovi never took off in fic, honestly. that's what happens when you have homegrown russians (geno, in sid's case) or homegrown devoted co-leaders (backstrom for ovi). maybe we have yet to see the groundbreaker sid/ovi fic that will shake up the fic landscape haha
and I'm glad that it seems like they make each other better!! I'm hesitant to go TOO full-tilt on my book opinions in public venues like this just because I don't take pleasure in knocking down something other people like. and, honestly... I don't think I'm a paragon of literary taste, either lol. I like some things that objectively aren't the ~height of literature~, you know? so if a random romance book doesn't work for me, it just doesn't work for me, and while I won't recommend it I don't think that I'm the arbiter of all that is good and true in this world !!
I think you hit the nail on the head about "pretty much every fic writer would do a better job on this." that's exactly why I stopped trying hockey romances to see if I'd find a good one. I was looking for fic!! I wanted books to give me the same thing fic was giving me!! and, in the end, why try to make books something they aren't? I think we're really blessed to have a trove of excellent fic to choose from, and I've been content to stay here for all my romantic hockey needs

Heavenly touch
Pairing: Castiel x Fem!Winchester!Reader
Summary: You’re in your last year of high school. But nothing goes according to plan. While your older brothers are hunting demons down you have to attend school in whatever forsaken town they drag you to. You are bullied because you have no boyfriend, no sexual experience and you not even have had your first kiss yet. Dean doesn’t get your problem and Castiel is curious. That won’t end well.
Word Count: 1,896
Warnings: Fluff, fluff and fluff. And an overprotective brother!Dean.
Author’s Note: Enjoy. Remember, guys, likes are silver, feedback is gold.
Tumblr media
Angrily you threw your backpack into a corner of the bunker and then dropped onto the couch. You buried your face in the pillow and drummed your feet angrily on the bulging cushion. The door to the kitchen opened and a little later your oldest brother Dean appeared in the door frame with a sandwich in his hand. He boldly bit off his sandwich and watched you. "Well?" he asked with his mouth full and some crumbs fell to the floor. "Not a good day again, sweetheart?" he said and looked at you with pity. You sighed and raised your head from the soft fabric of the pillow as you felt the sofa sink under his weight as soon as your brother sat down next to you. His green eyes watched you anxiously and you avoided his gaze, for you could not bear the pity in it. His hand stroked your back soothingly and he swallowed the last bite of his sandwich. Then he cleared his throat. "Was it those girls again?" he asked carefully and you nodded. He sighed because he already knew the problem. The girls from your new school found you funny and laughed at you every chance they got. At the thought that someone was teasing his little sister, hot anger shot through his veins, but he held back. Sam had forbidden him to get involved. The younger brother thought it would only make things worse. Still, it wasn't easy for Dean to watch you come home sad every day.
You bedded your head on his lap and looked straight and silent until your older brother broke the silence again. "So what was it this time?" Dean asked and the rustling of wings tore you from your conversation for a moment. Castiel appeared at the other end of the room and watched you closely.
"Hey, Cas." you mumbled soundlessly. The angel looked at you in surprise. Normally you were always delighted to see him and hugged him whenever he showed up, but this time you stayed motionless on the sofa with an empty look. Cas missed his usual greeting. You were very important to him. Always been. Since you met, the angel had tolerated you from the very beginning. Soon a deep friendship had developed out of it, because you had always been interested in what the angel had to say. You were the only one who was allowed to embrace him. It was your nature and he always enjoyed your company immensely.
He threw a questioning look at Dean, who shook his head only slightly. Silently, Castiel leaned in the doorway and listened curiously to your next words. Once again, you sighed. "This time it was something new. They made fun of the fact that I had never had a boyfriend before. And I never had my first kiss. And, well..." You paused and swallowed briefly, dodging Dean's gaze again. You knew he was gonna be pissed. Not at you, of course. But he was still mad. "Anything that happens just after a kiss." A vein pulsed at his temple, his jaw muscles grinding hard, and his hands kept clenching in fists as he took a deep breath and tried to keep his composure.
"Those bitches," he hissed in gritted teeth and Castiel raised an eyebrow in wonder. "It's okay, De." you muttered in a low voice. "They're right. I mean, look at me. I have no experience to brag about, and I'm eighteen years old! By my age, others are already getting married or becoming mothers." Dean's face softened as he looked at you and turned your head towards him. "Look at me, sunshine. You're just waiting for the right guy. So what? Others lose their virginity at thirteen. You take your time. And you know what? That's good! It's your business! You are perfect as you are. And don't let anyone tell you different," Dean explained. You nodded, but your brother's words did not succeed in erasing the weight in your stomach. Dean stood up and gave you a kiss on the forehead.
"I have to talk to Sammy now." he said and made his way to the library. He needed to talk to his brother. It couldn't go on like that. He wanted to kill those girls. They'd gone too far this time! The door closed behind him and it became quiet in the living room. You had forgotten Castiel was still in the room with you until he cleared his throat and you flinched. He looked at you apologetically before he walked towards you.
"What's wrong?" he asked in his deep voice, and his baby blue eyes looked at you questioningly. You loved those blue eyes. In fact, they were your favorite color. You secretly called it Castiel blue. Because it was the angel's signature color. "What's wrong?" he asked, taking the seat Dean had sat in seconds before. You looked past him in shame. "I - it's not important, Cas. Girl things." you waved off, but the angel did not let go. "It's bothering you," he murmured calmly. You looked at the angel next to you in surprise. "How-" But he didn't let you finish your question.. "You didn't hug me," he explained and a smile crept up to your lips. You'd forgotten all about that when you started feeling sorry for yourself. You immediately straightened up and wrapped your arms around the angel's neck. "Sorry, Cas," you muttered in the crook of his neck and buried your nose in his hairline. He smelled of a mild shampoo and spicy aftershave. The trench coat under your fingers smelled sweetly of detergent. It was the typical Castiel smell. His arms closed around you and he pulled you closer, bedding his chin on your head. You could have remained in that position forever.
Eventually, you'd break away from him a little, and you could look at each other's faces. His blue eyes sparkled embarrassed at his next words. "If it's so important to you, I could -" His voice trailed off for a short moment. "Well, I could be your first kiss?" You looked at him in surprise, and he misinterpreted it. Unsure, he averted his gaze. "I-I just thought, if it's that important to you... I mean, I never have - but I'd be honored if you'd be the first and -" He stuttered embarrassedly to himself until he simply broke off and drove through his brown hair with one hand. You put your index finger on his soft lips and smiled broadly at him. The angel looked at you with big blue eyes and waited anxiously for your next words.
You leaned forward a little further and his breath brushed over your rosy lips as you whispered the next words. "It would be a pleasure to have my very first kiss with you, Cas," you muttered. He nodded slightly and his eyes never left your face. His eyes wandered restlessly between your eyes and your lips. His breath blew gently across your face and he approached you slowly. One last time he looked at you reassuringly and as you nodded, his lips lay softly on yours. It felt strange and and Cas was really careful, but his lips were very soft. You too enjoyed the kiss very much. Even though you both had no experience and got out of breath quickly, it was a sweet kiss that soon became something more passionate.
"Is it okay?" Cas asked as soon as you separated and breathed heavily. Your lungs burned and you inhaled the oxygen eagerly. You smiled and your lips met again. Soon, Cas's hands made their way around your waist, pulling you closer together. Your hands didn't stay restless either, but moved from his hard chest over his strong shoulders to his neck, where your hands were buried in his short hair.
Cas grew bolder and his tongue gently stroked your lower lip. "I got that from Dean," he muttered in the kiss, and you smiled at his lips. Cas also smiled warmly. You did not know how much time had passed. Maybe hours, maybe minutes since Cas's lips moved against yours, but you didn't care because you savored the moment.
The moment that was abruptly interrupted when your brothers burst into the room. Embarrassed, you and Cas drifted apart, but he still held you in his lap. "What the hell?" cursed Dean and you saw Sam smiling at you knowingly. "Well, Dean, looks like that problem solved itself. She had her first kiss," Sam laughed and shrugged his shoulders while you hid your face burning with shame in Castiel's neck from the gaze of your brothers. Dean seemed genuinely upset, Sam found the whole thing rather amusing. The blush on your cheeks and an angry brother was punishment enough. "He kissed our little sister, Sam," Dean said, looking at Cas accusingly. The angel looked like he was guiltless. He had no idea what was going on, of course. "I know, Dean," Sam replied and winked slyly at you. Dean took a step towards you, then turned back to Sam. "I just won't punch him because he's a freaking angel. I don't punch angels," Dean explained. Castiel looked at you confused, but you barely shook your head as your fingers began to play with the short hair on the back of his neck. Sam patted your older brother on the shoulder. "I know, Dean," he repeated.
Finally, Cas spoke in a quiet voice. "You kiss girls all the time, Dean. I don't see the difference," he remarked. "The difference is that she is my little sister, okay, Cas? My innocent little baby sister! She's too young for her first kiss." You rolled your eyes at your eldest brother's words. "I'm 18, Dean." You giggled back and Cas put his head on your shoulder. Dean turned away. "Now they are cuddling in front of me," he murmured tortured. "I mean, look at him, Sammy. He's a grown man. Y/N... Y/N was just a baby a minute ago. I was just carrying her around, rocking her to sleep! And he? He's older than me!" Castiel cleared his throat. "Well, actually, I'm older than Earth, Dean, so..." You shut his mouth pretty quick with your hand. "You're not making it any better, Cas." you whispered into the angel's ear, clearly amused by Dean's dropping jaw.
"I-I need a drink," Dean muttered, and went into the kitchen. "If you'd just let me threaten those girls, Sammy..." He shook his head. Sam followed him and turned around again in the doorway. "He'll get over it," your brother said with a grin. "Give him time. He just doesn't want to admit that you're not the little girl who looked up to him anymore." "Sammy?" It came from the kitchen. "Bring me the whiskey." Sam winked at you.
As soon as everybody left the room, Cas looked at you again. "I know how time flies." you smiled. He smiled it back at you. "You do?" "Uh-huh." And there you were, lips back together again.

Imagine...Apple Picking With The Family
Tumblr media
Pairing: J2 x reader
____
“I’m hungry.”
“Me too.”
“Me too.”
“Me too!”
“Yeah, mom, we’re hungry,” teased Jared. You dug into your backpack and handed out five bags of animal crackers to the kids that were awake, Jared and Jensen smiling when you finished.
“I’m sorry, I only packed food for the small children,” you said.
“Daddy,” giggled your oldest, Jensen ruffling his head.
“Can I have a few bud?” he asked, getting a nod and a tiny handful of crackers. “Thank you.”
Jensen dropped them in Jared’s hand, Jared smiling as he went back to pushing the all terrain stroller with the twins inside.
“So apple picking, huh?” said Jensen, your youngest napping away where she was strapped to his chest.
“Because Y/N wanted an excuse to make us carry even more things than normal on a rainy, fall, dreary Vancouver day,” teased Jared.
“They had a long weekend from school and excuse me for bringing the children to you for once,” you said. “Not like we can take them apple picking in Texas.”
“Ah, yes. Apples. Foreign to many lands including Texas,” said Jensen.
“I’m not sure I’ve ever seen an apple in its natural habitat, Jens,” said Jared with a smirk.
“Cute boys,” you said, keeping an eye on the three older ones ahead of you.
“There’s literally an apple farm like two miles down the road from the brewery,” said Jared.
“There is?” you groaned.
“We appreciate you bringing them to us though,” said Jensen, giving you a hug from behind as you walked.
“We can check it out next year,” said Jared.
“Mom, is this one good?” asked your daughter, holding up a rotten apple from the ground.
“Think of the ones we get at the grocery store, honey,” you said, watching her chuck it back down.
“We got to get her into little league in the spring again with an arm like that,” said Jensen.
“She likes soccer better and you know it,” said Jared.
“You know what’s going to be amazing? Having you two home to take the kids to practice and games,” you said, wandering to a tree to pick some apples and dropping a few in your bag. “For more than a few months a year.”
“S’why we’re doing this,” said Jared. “Six of ‘em by yourself all the time, running businesses, keeping up with doing your own writing stuff-“
“You pass out on us most nights you know,” said Jensen.
“You left the show but you never got a break,” said Jared.
“We’ll all take a little break and then you two can do some shorter projects,” you said with a smile. “Six months max.”
“I don’t want to do anything except sit down and do nothing once we get done with the season,” said Jensen.
“I give him five months before he’s itching for a job again,” you said.
“Six,” said Jared.
“The real question is, are we seeing the last of the Winchesters in the spring or no?” you teased.
“We could divulge that information…” said Jensen.
“But keeping it from you is so much fun,” said Jared.
“You know what’s also fun? I’m working on this super secret project, project 22 cause that’s the year they plan on releasing it. The funniest little thing, it’s for these characters...I really can’t say anymore. It’s a movie, or a six episode mini series. Again I really can’t say. My hands are tied. Just thought maybe you two...would be...interested…” you smiled.
“Who told you the ending?” said Jared.
“One of the writers. They fear me,” you said with a smile. “You guys realize that’s the way they had to go in order for the possibility of stuff like movies.”
“Yeah. Just not how I always thought it would end,” said Jensen.
“Nothing wrong with a happy ending with a little twist. There was a time us three...we thought this would never work,” you said, spinning around, both of them smiling softly. “We got a happy ending, didn’t we?”
“I’d say so,” said Jared, your youngest waking up on Jensen, reaching a hand out and wrapping it in his shirt. “Definitely.”
“Which writer?” said Jensen. “We need to know who to go mess with.”
“Maybe it was the writer who helped pitched the idea,” you smirked.
“You? But...you know what we wanted!” said Jared.
“You boys are wonderful actors and I get the noble sacrifice thing and all that...there’s nothing wrong with seeing the boys get a win though,” you said. “But that’s a few years away...and can one of you-“
“I see ‘em,” said Jared, taking off when he saw the older ones trying to climb on top of each other and up to a tree.
“You still writing that horror movie?” asked Jensen.
“Mhm.”
“Can I be the serial killer?” he asked. “Please?”
“Jared already called dibs,” you said.
“I have a great idea,” he said.
“I already wrote two serial killers in,” you laughed. “You want to be the bad bad one or good bad one?”
“Extra bad,” he said.
“That’s what I figured,” you said. “You boys are going to take most of next year off though right?”
“Yeah. All of it. The kids aren’t the only person we’ve missed,” he said. “Maybe we can even convince mama to come out of retirement before we take our break.”
“You already know I will be,” you said, getting a kiss from him before you felt an apple whack the back of your leg. “Guys! Do not throw the apples. They aren’t toys.”
“Dad did it,” all three said, Jared shaking his head.
“I’m surrounded by children,” you said, Jared giving one a piggyback ride.
“You love us though,” said Jensen, kissing your temple.
“Yeah. Yeah. You guys are alright,” you said, heading behind the stroller. “Let’s go get some apples guys, make dad and daddy a pie or two before we head home.”
