Why do I keep seeing posts taking about everyone dying on the ship and Curly being put in the cryopod by J*mmy? Is this a popular AU?

Am I the only one who remembers the CANON ending where Pony Express is shut down for bad working conditions before the search parties are sent out, who find the crew after they’ve a been stranded for about two months? (“Unfortunately” they couldn’t get there before J*mmy fell down the stairs and snapped his neck)

Where they immediately bring Curly to a hospital while the rest of the crew stay nearby and start booking therapy appointments? Anya had an abortion and started medical school, Curly is getting fitted for prosthetics, and the whole crew (minus J*mmy) visits or calls him AT THE VERY LEAST weekly. (The crew was compensated with a lot of money so they don’t need to find a job for a while)

Anya and Curly had a heart-to-heart about how his actions (or lack thereof) affected her, and are trying to rebuild trust together. Swansea continued to mentor Daisuke (not officially, more like teaching him mechanical things when they come to mind) during their free time, and are trying to find a new direction in life.

J*mmy’s actions came to light, and no one showed up to his funeral other than the crew so they could throw tomato’s at his grave and talk shit during the eulogies.

too bad you get them hehe >:3 (the reason their technically headcanons is because they were from my canon (Daisuke + Jacuuzisauce fictkin))

-transmasculine, got top surgery at 17 because gender dysphoria was making him want to die. he was planning on using his payment from his Tuplar trip to pay for bottom surgery.

-he/him pronouns mostly, he used they/he online.

-never had many friends, he hoped there would be someone on the Tuplar around his age since he didnt have any by the time he signed up.

-22 years old, his birthday was 19th of October.

-his mother was Japanese, his father was half Spanish and half Filipino. they moved from Japan in 2033 and had Daisuke 4 years later in 2037.

-he and Anya were really close before what happened with Jimmy. he was confused on why she started refusing hugs for no apparent reason. jumbo lied about it and gave multiple different excuses to turn Daisuke on Anya, including that she was 'just being a bitch' and that she was 'on her period' (lies >:c)

-he is 'all about the chicks' because he saw a bunch of guys with girlfriends and thought it would make him more masculine

Not OC related, but I managed to pump out a Mouthwashing themed pysanka at class last night! I wish I made Anya’s hair purple and Curlys eye blue so there was more contrast, but womp womp, I’ll know to do better next time! :D

Curly is NOT a perfect person, definitely. He blatantly ignored Anya’s rape, let Jimmy get away with it, plus he’s also a higher up at a very obviously corrupt company. He SHOULD NOT be babied by the community.

BUT, I’ve seen a bit part of the community to play curly off as scum of the earth, or almost as bad as Jimmy, which just isn’t true.

Curly isn’t a character created to be a horrible person that the audience should hate. He’s more like a guide on what NOT to do. Because not only do ≈ 50% of women not report crimes, but that also means a large portion of people that knew the crime happened did not report it.

Curly isn’t a horrible person. Anybody on this earth could make the exact same mistake he did when it came to Anya.
