Anytime he gets bored, Wriothesley thinks about jerking off. sydney, for the entirety of his 18 years on earth, had never once felt envy. jealous perhaps, like kylar's jet black hair making him feel conflicted about his light hair that brother jordan praised him for.

but envious? he's never had to deal with such a hateful emotion before. not until now. now as in he's watching you laugh, with warmth spreading through your cheeks, your hand on robin's arm to steady yourself lest you fall off the seat.

then he's forgotten all about it the next day when you sit by him. on him actually, with your leg over his, shoulders bumping as you chew and talk at the same time. his hair messily framing your shoulder and overlapping on your face. and he thinks this is how it should be, all day, every day.

Do it again /nf. I love petty messy ghouls. I need Aether hating Rain bc him being summoned changed Dew so irreversibly, and now he has to watch Dew fall for this other ghoul. The one that caused the ritual to happen in the first place, the reason Dew burned.

........ Maybe Dew accepts Rains mateship. And Aether really has to sit and realize oh he doesn't have Dew anymore, does he?

Aether feels sick when he sees the mark on Dew’s shoulder. Notices his scent smells more like petrichor and sea salt than it used it. At first he doesn’t believe it. Dew was so clear when he said it was something he wanted to wait on. Something he wasn’t ready for because he didn’t know what would happen after he became fire.

But he did it. He did it for Rain.

He has only known Rain for a fraction of the time he has Aether, but he’ll take his mark. He really has lost Dew. All of him. That’s not his droplet anymore.

At first Aether blames himself. It’s all he can do. He wasn’t good enough for Dew. He is destined to never have a mate. He is here to take care of broken ghouls and see them on their way. He is a phase, a transitional point. What did he do wrong? Did Dew ever even love him? Or was he just convenient while he waited for someone else to sweep him off his feet?

Then that turned to hatred. Not at of course, never at Dew. But at Rain. This siren who came to this realm in a storm. He saw something he wanted and he took it without hesitation. He must have manipulated Dew somehow. Dew is a freshwater ghoul, he is not immune to the song of oceanic. That has to be it right? It has to. Because Dew would never do this to him.

The only thing that stops him from using his quintessence to take away Rain’s ability to ever sing again is what it would do to Dew. He would feel it. He would know something is wrong. He would know Aether did it. But every day he seems then cuddling on the catch his restraint gets weaker and weaker. He wants this ghoul gone. He wants this ghoul dead.

He pulls away from everyone. Everyone expect Mountain because the earth ghoul refuses to let him rot away. It works for awhile, Aether gets out of his head and he starts to feel better. He starts to maybe. Finally. Accept that it was just an unfortunate circumstance. Nobody is to blame.

That is until Aether notices Rain hanging out more and more with Mountain. He tries so so hard to rationalize despite the burning pit of anger in his gut. He does fine for a little but then he catches them out in the greenhouse around sunset. He and Aether were supposed to curl up on his old mattress and watch the meteor shower together. Instead he sees Mountain pinning Rain back against his work bench with his tongue down his throat.

He really snaps then. He has to go. Rain has truly taken everything from him.

A few days later they get into a fight. It’s bloody. Rain puts up a good effort, but quintessence ghouls are by all other elements for a reason. The only thing that stops Aether from melting his brain is Omega knocking both of them out with a quick spark.

so i wasn't gonna make a separate post about this but @sapphire-weapon had a post (that i reblogged a few days ago) in which someone mentioned that they think it was a missed opportunity in RE6 for jake to not have spoken to wesker. i had a p long conversation with sirea about it and my thoughts about that sentiment, but it was also nearly 3 AM my time when that happened so i dunno if i was even articulating my thoughts properly lmao

and yes... this is technically a meta post and i know i said i was gonna do the mmx meta post first... but this one isn't gonna be nearly as long (i hope) and i gotta get the brainworms out before i die

(quick edit note: i reworded the list item below from saying he was "likely a drug addict" to "likely a recreational drug user" because i feel like that better encompasses what i'm trying to get across

(another edit note: i made another post regarding jake's usage of drugs that stemmed from this post! it's marked as mature bc of drug usage, so it won't show up in tag search. if you're interested in that, look here!)

so the idea that wesker being alive in OG RE6 would have brought an opportunity for jake's character is kinda, imo, antithetical to the purpose of jake's character in the first place.

when we meet jake, we know a few things about him, right off the bat:

he's a mercenary

he's likely a recreational drug user or at least heavy/risk-taking user

he doesn't give a fuck about anything but making money

his whole character journey is going from this selfish, money-focused dickhead to someone who actually cares about doing something good, just because it's the right thing to do. at the start, jake refuses to simply give his blood away when sherry mentions needing it for a vaccine. no, he wants a cash payout. 50 million dollery-doos for a pint of his blood. by the end, he lowers the price to a mere 50 dollars. one could argue that was symbolic and he actually didn't care if he was paid or not, but that's neither here nor there.

but why was he like this? because his childhood was shite; his mother was sickly, he had no father figure, and by 15-ish, jake had to learn how to hustle to keep food on the table. and by "hustle" i mean "do a bunch of mercenary work and killing people." and when shit went south with his little group of mercenaries (their entire group was sold out by a heel-turner), jake basically went "fuck alla y'all" and lost all sense of conviction or morals.

during the game, he expresses his bitterness for his father, wesker, pretty clearly. even though his mother still loved wesker, tried to raise jake to respect him despite never knowing him, it didn't matter to jake. he hated that guy. well, really, who doesn't?

we're not gonna talk about excella rn ok

jake's entire character arc is built up around this hatred as well as a subconscious fear of becoming his father. the fear part doesn't show up until later in the story, after he and sherry were captured by the Big Bad's organization. they were both experimented on for several months, during which jake overheard the researchers talking about his father, wesker. this gives jake a sort of "explanation" as to why he is the way he is; he takes the "nature" side of the nature vs nurture argument.

ofc sherry scolds his ass and basically tells him "grow up and take responsibility for your actions."

and here's the thing... this fear, narratively, works just fine without wesker being there.

(since this got obscenely long, pls continue below for the actual explanation lmao)

jake eventually comes to the conclusion that yeah no it's definitely up to him to not become wesker, not his genetics. he does this without wesker being there. that's the entire point of his character journey. in order for an interaction with wesker to even matter or have any sort of impact on jake's character arc, his character arc as a whole would need to change.

see, imo, wesker being there diminishes a lot of the power of that journey. in the game, he isn't there for jake to scream at, to question. all those thoughts in his head that might be circulating around, like why he left his mother, why he did what he did, etc, cannot be answered. this is not a bad thing in a character arc as this is shit that happens to people all the time. people don't always get the answers they may want from family members because those family members are dead. they have to learn to move on without those answers or they have to rely on people who knew that person to fill in the blanks. this is what jake already does in game. he has to rely on sherry, and by a smaller extent, chris, to fill in those blanks for him.

but we as players, observers of the narrative, already know the answers to some of those questions. why wesker did what he did, primarily. anything else is only pertinent to jake and him knowing those answers doesn't change anything for his character arc as it is.

if wesker was there in the game, what would that even add to jake's narrative? a scene where jake yells at his dad? asks him "why did you leave?" when wesker wasn't even aware that he had a kid in the first place? remember: wesker had no fucking idea that he had a child. there would be no reason for wesker to even believe jake in the first place. sure, there could be a scene where he goes "well i'll be damned, ig he really is my misfired chromosome," but... then what? what does that add?

you could argue that wesker could use jake, maybe try to manipulate him into doing shit for his plans, but... that wouldn't work with the way jake's characterization is mapped out. his entire characterization would have to change for this to work in a satisfying way.

jake already hates wesker without ever meeting him. he would not willingly participate in anything wesker offered to him. he already knows that wesker nearly destroyed the world multiple times and had a hand in destroying an entire city. even if jake has no moral compass at the start of the game, by the time he learns about what wesker really did, who he really was, he's already showing that he does have one, it was just dormant up until that point. he's clearly disgusted by what wesker did. what foothold would wesker have that wouldn't immediately result in it just falling flat?

given how wesker is, i could see him perhaps belittling jake, maybe saying "wow you suck for being my spawn," or something during a fight with the intent to rile him up. would that work? no, not narratively nor not in the way jake is characterized. again, jake doesn't want to be like wesker. why would insulting him and saying he's not "as good" as wesker expected him to be motivate jake or even anger him? it shouldn't, because jake doesn't want to be anything like wesker. if anything, it may annoy him, but that's kind of a lame reaction, right?

if anything, the most i could see culminating out of this would be jake standing over wesker after he's defeated again (because it's resident evil and obviously wesker can't win) and having a "wow idk what i was worried about" moment. that's it.

but he doesn't need that. having a scene like that cheapens the weight of him figuring that out himself, without wesker there as "proof."

because the point of his story, of his character arc, is that he figures that out on his own (and with the help of sherry and the events he witnesses) because he has to. he doesn't need wesker there to spoon-feed that to him. he figures that out by working with sherry, by seeing the effects of the C-Virus on everything that it infects. wesker being an abstract entity in his life is enough, because the frustration of not seeing him, not being able to put a bullet in his skull himself, fuels the rest of his journey.

this is where i think that people who make these observations or criticisms (primarily those who think that jake's character would have been improved if wesker was there) need to understand the difference between what's good for a character as a person and what's good for their arc.

interacting with wesker would be good for jake as a person, in that he would no longer need to wonder about it. the answers would be spelled out for him, and he wouldn't have to do any wondering about the what-if. he wouldn't have any doubts left that he'd need to untangle.

but in doing that, it cheapens his arc; it would do more of a disservice to it, imo, than anything else. it would make his journey more formulaic and boring.

it would also clutter up the already cluttered narrative of that game. you have him not only struggling with his heritage, struggling with the fear of becoming his father, struggling with needing to be the "savior" by giving his blood, struggling with his moral compass, but now also struggling with seeing his father for the first time in person?

it makes his arc top-heavy. in that scenario, you could easily replace him with another, completely new character who has zero ties to wesker and the story wouldn't change in any meaningful way. the reason why it works the way to does now is because wesker is already dead. it creates that internal conflict, that internal frustration, that jake has to learn how to deal with since he cannot take that frustration out on his father in-person. he has to make peace with that struggle in other ways.

now, that's not to say there aren't ways that adding wesker into the story of RE6 that don't disrupt that balance. primarily, when it comes to a potential RE6 remake, the writing team can (and hopefully will) rework aspects of the entire game to make the plot more streamlined. this could include adding wesker in and redoing jake's characterization and character arc entirely.

this would be the only way i could see it working out. if jake's entire motivation was changed, his entire backstory was tweaked, then wesker being around could probably work! an interaction between them could be made to make sense and not bog down the rest of the plot as a result.

sirea also mentioned to me in our conversation that adding wesker in to RE6 remake could actually help streamline the plot and i do agree with that. she mentioned that all of the main characters have a tie to wesker in some way, which is absolutely true. having him there would neatly tie their campaigns together in the plotline and make the game as a whole feel less disjointed and messy.

this is especially true when we consider there are 4 fuckin campaigns that all run alongside one another and intersect at random points. it gets so fucking difficult to page through and figure out when certain things happen in the plot. you'll see them happen in order in chris's campaign, for example, then you go start leon's campaign and have to start over again and try to remember what happened at the same time during chris's campaign and so on.

now imagine that not with just two campaigns but four. it gets gross quick. sure, there are parts where the characters run into each other and that helps ground a general timeline in your head, but as far as time elapsed... it's so fuckin hard u guise

there's a reason why it's so hard to summarize the plot of RE6. it's because there is just so much going on in that fucking game.

anyway, that's my rant/sort of meta analysis about why i think wesker didn't need to be in OG RE6 and probably would have made jake's entire arc stupider than it already was

Hm. Working out some thoughts about j*j*tsu k*isen characters and gender/transness (fem vs masc readings sorta) mainly. The character I am obsessed with in a love/hate way

Saw the post Abt ppl misinterpreting "male" characters who are (if not intentionally depicted/coded) more meaningful to view as transfem as being transmasc again and thinking Abt G*to S*g*r* and they're like. I mean genuinely so fucking hard for me to come to a conclusion on. As a trans guy myself I'll start by saying my perspective is limited but I really... I don't wanna say relate. I see a lot of my own negative traits in their character, and it's really cathartic to be able to analyze + critique those traits in a fictional way, where it lets me reflect on my self without feeling. Guilty? Defensive??? That doesn't sound right but it helps me get out of my own head and go "hey it sucks when this stuff is done by a character, I also shouldn't do that" (mainly the black/white thinking and escalation to violence are. Yeah I gotta work on those things). So there's the level of connection that makes me go "it would be cool if this character is transmasc". Also Ive said it once I'll say it again I NEED more trans men who are abusers/bad ppl without being romanticized. It's partially bc I go to fanfic but there's this weird vibe of trans men Always Being The Victim that. Y'know probably is unexamined transphobia + misogyny & gender/bioessentialism (transphobia in seeing trans men as "closer" to women, misogyny + essentialism in that they're weaker because of their "sex" y'know) and just like. It's exhausting.

I suppose I could see transfem arguments in them having a lot of feminine/motherhood symbolism? Plus they're always wearing fucking Dysphoria Clothing 💀. Thank you so much, truly. Yeah, things got pretty insane there for a good few hours, lol. I don't even know why. I basically just started off answering this person. Then, of course, they couldn't just accept my answer, and started sending me mile long asks, wanting me to address every stupid eruri rumor and theory ever uttered, so I gave them a very blunt response, answering their inane questions to the best of my ability, considering nothing they mentioned had any actual substance, I told them I didn't want to talk about it further because all I get is these same type of questions over and over, and then they got upset that I wouldn't entertain the notion that eruri could be canon because some voice actor said Levi and Erwin are "more than just friends" (which could literally mean anything), or because Isayama said Levi likes "tall people", lol, and accused me of brushing them off. And things just got out of hand from there. They wouldn't shut up, they kept writing to me, so I blocked them, and then they created multiple other accounts just so they could keep harassing me, sending me an insanely long post which I refused to read because I already made clear I was done with the conversation, which lead them into a crazed victory dance of "winning" the argument. I'm sure they ran and told all their little eruri buddies about it. And finally they spun out of control completely and started attacking every other Levi blog in existence, lol. It was actually hilarious, but then it just got creepy and pissed everyone off. Breaking into someone's mind has to be against the law, right?? I can sue RIGHT??

And y'all can say "tsk tsk, I hate Finn bc he's a bad influence on Daniel. Can't be having that" and yeah, sure, he is and I won't defend that- but he's also a character that reminds the 10 year old that he's ALLOWED to be a 10 year old- I think Daniel admires that Finn still acts childish and is happy to have someone who encourages him to still have fun, while Sean is stressing and really hopes Daniel would knock it off and start being mature. I think Finn always wanted the best for Daniel, and took protecting and providing for him way too seriously, like he forgot he's not responsible for him.

And listen- I agreed to that heist in a less than a *heartbeat*. I was READY, and yet I still ended up with a goody two shoes Daniel who refused to murder people for his big brother. Wherein I propose how we could give Dean as many kids as narratively possible. Inspired by a slurry of other posts about things like baby!Jack and baby! Amara this isnt supposed to make narrative sense beyond suspension of disbelief and I refuse to take criticism please consider my URL for my stance on these things. Dabb didn’t do the reading but I did. 

It’s long so it’s under the cut

So it starts with Bobby John the shapeshifter baby and like for whatever reason the alpha shifter doesn’t come or the kill him or whatever and the Campbells are just rubbing Dean the wrong way and the baby has already kind of imprinted on him so Dean realizes that he can’t like drop the kid off an orphanage but also he doesn’t trust most people who know about the supernatural to take care of him. He also thinks about his own childhood and the parts that sucked (moving constantly, j*hn) and the parts that didn’t (time spent at Bobby’s (and other peoples places like pastor Jim but he’s dead so)) and also how in s6 they’ve been kind of based out of Bobby’s half the time anyways at that point so they take the baby there and Bobby is delighted to have a namesake even if he’s initially doubtful. But he’s not gonna hurt deans kid and BJ is a baby. It’s awful to baby proof his house bc books and weapons and for a child that can’t touch silver but they manage a few rooms.

Also it creates a s6 Dean going back and forth between his hunting family including the baby and his civilian family of Lisa and Ben and it’s like a parallel to J*hn and Adam Milligan

Also Claire gets retrieved sooner bc Cas helps with the baby like a time or two and makes some comment about how his vessel had a child and they’re like oh yeah Claire and end up checking in on her situation sooner esp bc Dean is already feeling guilty about Ben so like they get Claire in her early teens

Emma happens. A few ways this could play out 1. Like canon with teenager but Sam doesn’t kill her. Claire gets a sister her age. 2. Because she doesn’t kill her dad the Amazon magic wears off and she’s back to being a baby? 3. She dies and gets found in purgatory

Bobby’s house burning is that much worse bc the baby was there too but Bobby and him both survived it. Dean feels bad turning into his father dragging kids around on the road.

Purgatory. Either finding baby Emma or not. Dean has a lot of bad thoughts about this is where at least 2 of his kids are going when they die. Befriending Benny adds to his inner doubts about morality and monster hunting.

Either Sam has the kids with him and that changes the Amelia thing or he leaves them with someone they know like Jody or Garth etc.

Surface side, Benny who has raised kids, is actually helpful with baby sitting and Claire thinks he’s the coolest bc he’s a real vampire and she doesn’t have any personal trauma related to him. Benny stays surface side and comes back with Sam bc he has actual reasons to live and a support system more and also bc he suggested to Dean that if/when Emma and Bobby-John die, that’s when Benny will get killed and then he’ll take care of them in purgatory .

The bunker is great bc it’s safe and they can put roots down bc the impala is getting a little full and Dean feels guilty about motel rooms. Henry Winchester meets his great grandkids and is delighted that some of them aren’t human bc he’s a MoL

Kevin gets moved in sooner.

Crypt scene- Dean tacks on something about ‘Claire and the kids need you’ in his whole speech. Claire gets very mad about him leaving with the tablet.

When the Krissy thing happens with all those teens and the guy working with vampires Dean tries and maybe successfully convinced her to move into the bunker and go to school in Kansas

Kevin doesn’t die bc gadreel has so many other people around and like I don’t actually know how the gadreel thing would play out like this but also we need Cas to be at the gas n sip

Maybe Cas is still doing his penance thing, maybe he thinks they need more income for that many kids. Maybe they still do the gadreel thing.

Anyways

I hate to fridge a woman but

Gas n sip lady dies and has no connections (why else would she ask her questionable employee to babysit)

Castiel could hand Tanya over to the authorities but also they still have a bunch of baby supplies and really what if angels come after her like they did her mother? Dean just takes one look at Tanya’s face and one look at Cas’s face and says fine and they have a new baby. (tanya post that loosely inspired this) 

This is where plot gets tricky bc I haven’t fully seen past season 9 and a lot of that uhh

Well Abaddon is still a problem and Cas is human and now busy with the new baby so Dean makes the choice to work with Crowley and get the Mark of Cain bc he’s extremely worried about Abaddon coming after his brood.

The kids get sent to Jody’s or Garth’s or just out when the Demon Dean thing happens and like he wouldn’t have hurt them bc isn’t that his line in the sand or whatever my knowledge is vague. But the prisoner scene still happens bc it’s Fun and the Cas and Collette parallel is even heavier bc they’re literally coparents

This is where I can’t specify plot any further

Amara doesn’t magically age but like that other post says Dean feels guilty about her so he takes care of her

Baby Jack bc Jack sees Castiel’s knowledge of Dean with his kids including several nonhuman ones and Jack decided it’s safe enough to be born a baby

This can be widower arc too and Dean is trying not to be his father and won’t let the other kids help bc that’s what he was forced to do but also he’s too exhausted to do anything besides take care of the newborn so Sam and Benny etc are picking up the slack with the other kids which can still be a source of conflict or whatever

Uh Magda moves in with them bc Sam is like if you can bring home stray children I can bring home stray children

Mary has a wild time catching up to life with her babies middle aged and raising monster kids but she adapts

Lebanon is a fun episode bc J*hn is awful and points a gun at Emma bc she flashed her eyes at him and this time it’s Sam who saves her. Something something J*hn says something awful about what he should have done to Sam to stop Dean from thinking monster kids can be saved or smth

7. cake. outside of the INCEST, i generally found their storyline to just be sorta.. annoying, especially in comparison to the far more enjoyable campy insanity of imogeli, these two just come off as bland as shit. i really wanted to like clare, especially because she sorta reminded me of andi mack and i love andi a lot, but the cake era and ESPECIALLY nowhere to run (a very cake centric episode) was just clare at her most insufferable and almost made sour on her completely. the best i can say about them is that jake will always be hilarious

6. triles. i honestly dont hate them as much as other people, but they just sorta annoy me. honestly all of degrassis MLM pairings have been kinda underwhelming to me, from darco being sorta Weird and bad for marco to ziley being boring as shit, but triles is the one thats just kinda frustrating and annoying. like maybe its the lack of chemistry between them or the fact that they are both sorta really shitty to each other, but i just prefer both of them to be Far away from each other. im sad that miles never got another male love interest .... and by that i mean im sad that we never got canon chullingsworth

5. jankie. these two are just ANNOYING. i really hate jonah, i dont know why because i really didnt mind him in s14 but then NC hit and he became so insufferable, and frankie is frankie. i like frankie marginally better than jonah bc she was funnier than him (not jonah didnt have the occasional Good Moment), but taking two characters i find annoying and pointless and putting them in a relationship made them so much more annoying. theres just no chemistry and i hated that the second they started writing frankston somewhat well in NC1, it was just to shove him to the side for JONAH. justice for winston. also they just seem to be so miserable during their entire time together, jonahs treatment of frankie in NC3 was sorta Really shitty, they were just a pathetic excuse for an enemies to lovers storyline, i wouldve had more fun if i were watching hunter and baaz fall in love instead.

3. dolly j. i think i have a bit of a bias when i say this because season 10 was the first season of degrassi i watched so i didnt have the proper backstory to these two and their only storylines in that season were him trying to be her sugar daddy (which i wasnt even paying attention to bc the misfits vs fitz and three tenners plots in that episode were 1000x better than their drama), them breaking up, and then him assaulting her so.... not the best first impression. even when i did get their backstory in s9 i still ended up finding them to be extremely half baked. but also i think i also have a bias against them in s9 because i found holly j in s9 to be at her strongest, softening up and being kinder while also retaining her snark and edge which i love about her, but then along comes declan and holly j becomes a shell of herself. i still love her of course, but i hate the fact that post-declan, holly j didnt feel quite as... holly j-like. i could honestly care less about declan as a character, but its more of what this relationship does to holly j that makes me dislike them so much. and again the assault definitely soured me on this pairing from the jump. im just sayin holly j shouldve dated a different coyne....

2. bhandarco. i know you said that i couldn't include any 'obvious' ones, and in my mind this IS one of the obvious ones, but they have a lot of fans so that means its free range for me to put this on this list. for one, the age gap is . questionable to put it lightly. and its the fact that multiple characters around johnny and alli (clare, bruce, jenna) point out the fact that shes too young for him that makes it all the weirder. how the writers were able to WRITE IN characters saying 'hey its really weird that johnny, a grade 12, is dating alli, a grade 9' but refused to condemn this relationship is beyond me, but it wasnt the first time they did it, and unfortunately it wasn't the last, this is just the tamest example of the show doing this. anyways, i dont need to explain why the lying about sexual history or spreading around nudes of a 14 year old are bad. the thing is, i want to like johnny dimarco, because hes a funny character and had a fuckton of potential, but his treatment of alli, no matter how 'soft boye🥺' he acts around her, puts me off of him. and maybe im biased but the fact that so many people can ship them despite all of this but act like bhandurner is toxic and problematic makes me wanna bash my brains in. anyways alli deserved so much better and im glad she got better, eventually.

1. zaya. im not very subtle about my burning hatred for zaya, ive said multiple times that i hate them and that theyre my least favorite degrassi pairing Ever. i think my hatred of them used to be a kneejerk reaction post-cam, seeing as camaya is one of my favorite pairings from the show, but thats definitely not it because i liked matlingsworth! i am not against the idea of maya dating people after cam, hell im not even against zig and maya getting together post-cam in concept. it couldve worked like toberty, and i love toberty! i think all of my problems revolving zaya stem from season 13. back when i first watched s13, the only thing i could think of when i saw this new zaya dynamic was that they were trying to reverse engineer their dynamic into a knockoff of duncan and courtney total drama, with the whole 'reckless bad boy/goody two shoes good girl' thing they were pushing, but it didnt work for either character, ESPECIALLY zig who is 10x more whiny than he was as a niner while they tried to push him as a bad boy. the weird enemies to lovers thing they were trying to push didnt even work, zig just felt needlessly cruel to maya for no reason. the zig/miles fighting was horrible, zig calling maya his sloppy seconds was horrible, zig telling maya instead of respecting her boundaries after her boyfriend died he shouldve kissed her was HORRIBLE, zig being pushy and pretty much harassing maya into loving him and then becoming pissy when she didnt was horrible (notice a pattern?) i think him learning to respect that and moving on wouldve been a pretty good, if insufferable to get through, arc had they not randomly have maya realize shes in love with him during s14 out of literally no where. they were terrible in NC1-2 but i think anyone could tell you that. idk im sorta talking out of my ass rn and if i go and rewatch s13-NC4 i would definitely be more concise and accurate to why i hate these two so much but as it stands right now zaya is my least favorite degrassi pairing and i hate how the show tried making them seem so cute and #otp, especially in s13.
